Search for recipes from: Engine 2, Forks Over Knives, Dr. McDougall, Dr. Furhman/Eat to Live, PlantPure Nation, China Study. Plant-based dietitian Jeff Novick has easy recipes that are friendly to beginners to cooking (although I do find them somewhat bland).


Other good vegan recipe sources that are not oil-free but fairly healthy (and can be modified for oil-free):

- Thug Kitchen

- Oh She Glows

- Minimalist Baker


I have the Foodgawker app on my phone which I use to browse recipes, and I come across a lot of vegan recipes that way. There's also a similar website/app called Finding Vegan that is vegan recipes only, but I don't find it very user-friendly so I don't use it as often.


This makes me look like I know a lot about cooking...but I really just browse recipes for entertainment. My cooking is very simple and anything that takes more than 45 minutes/8 ingredients would be a special occasion meal for me.
