  • Validating Role In Essence

    Troy

[Excerpt from Michael Speaks: July 2004]

[BingeBuddie] I know this may seem like a very basic question, but I have had a hard time validating my role in essence. With so many factors to consider such as casting, ET influence, overleaves, and entity position, etc. is there any definitive way to determine your role? I’ve went with channels in the past, but that causes confusion because it's difficult to tell what one input is as opposed to many inputs, such as Scholar having one and Artisan having 5. One channel Roles (Scholar, King, and Warrior) can concentrate in the midst of chaos right? So that’s kind of what I try to look at. Is that a good indicator?

    MEntity:
No, we would not suggest using your ability to concentrate as your determining factor. The symptom of concentration vs. distraction in terms of Input is another of the simplifications that can happen when first learning about a part of the teaching. While it is true that an Essence with a single input can usually focus more intently in the midst of chaos, the influence of Personality, Imprinting, and Situations can greatly affect that level of concentration.

What we would suggest as part of your validation of your Role in Essence is this:

First, study the Roles. It is important to truly comprehend each Role. This means moving beyond the stereotypes that are a part of the initial stage of learning.

Next, it is important to understand the vital differences between Essence and Casting. Casting affects how you behave “naturally”, how you express yourself to the world on a DAILY BASIS. Your Essence Role is most obviously comprehended in moments where you feel you SHINE.

    For instance:

A Scholar-Cast Sage: In the daily life of this individual he may appear unkempt, distracted, refined, studious, directed, serious, and maybe even a bit out of synch socially, but this fragment would “shine” as soon as he was able to publicly share what he has gained as experiences in a way that was entertaining to at least a small group.

A Sage-Cast Scholar, on the other hand, may be dramatic, socially obnoxious, emotional, depressed, extreme, performing, and chaotic in his daily life, but this fragment would “shine” when he is able to wholly comprehend something that can be finalized as a bit of profound personal knowledge.

We do not know of a more appropriate word than “shine”. When you are in Essence, you feel complete, “on”, and you usually feel cohesion between your mundane self and your higher self. When we say “shine”, we do not intend to mean that everyone will see this, but rather that the Personality and Essence open to each other and a sense of lightness and wholeness pervade.

We explain all of this to you in the context of an Essence having a different Role than Casting, but of course, there ARE Sage-Cast Sages and Scholar-Cast Scholars, but those fragments usually have little confusion as to their Role.

Having explained those basic differences between Casting and Role in Essence, you can then figure out your Role or Casting by first determining if you feel you are more exalted or more ordinal in either of those contexts. In other words, in your DAILY LIFE, are you more one-on-one, but when you “shine”, are you surrounded by people? One-on-One might indicate a more Ordinal position, while being inclined toward groups can be an indication of an Exalted position.

Once you have determined how you may behave in either context, you can then determine if you feel you are more compelled to have an inspiring, expressive, or active effect on your environment. This will then give you an indication as to the final role description you might be in your Casting or your Essence.

For example, you may notice you are naturally more one-on-one in your daily life, thus indicating that you may be Ordinal-Cast, but when you “shine”, you notice you love to be in a group of people in some way, indicating you may be an Exalted Essence Role. Then you would determine if you are more inclined to be expressive, inspiring, or active in your daily life. If you find you are more concerned with inspiring, you could then safely start trying out the idea that you may be SERVER-CAST.

When you “shine”, you may find you are more inclined to be expressive, entertaining, and teaching-oriented, which may indicate a SAGE ESSENCE. This would then be a Server-Cast Sage.

We realize this can still be very confusing and difficult to determine, but it is a start. Because the Scholar Role is neutral, it can be the most difficult to determine and we would not be able to convey in this format the depth of questioning that would need to be explored for true validation of the Essence or Casting.

One of the most important things you can do while studying our teaching and seeking to validate your Role, Casting, Overleaves, Entity, and Essence Twins, etc. is be open to an evolution of your understanding. You may discover that what you believed was inaccurate channeling is actually profoundly accurate to who you realize you are becoming (as you come into your own identity). Or you may discover that your self-determined Overleaves were highly inaccurate in your initial understanding and you now see that you are someone completely different after all.

Never feel as if you must conclude who you are. Our system is designed to help you understand who you are, not complicate your self-perception.

If you are thoroughly confused, pick a Role, pick your Overleaves, and begin “living with them”. You will begin to see what does and does not hold validity.

[BingeBuddie] But would you have to be past the 4th internal monad to judge completely accurately as to what role you are? (not to ask ANOTHER lengthy question)

    MEntity:
It does help to have completed the 4th Internal Monad in the Positive Pole for true self-awareness in terms of Essence, Casting, and True Personality. But then, that is the very crux of having a completion of the 4th Internal Monad in the Positive Pole, so it is not a matter of waiting for that rite to pass before seeking valid self-awareness.

We are working with Troy in creating two new ways of determining your own basic profiles: a self-test, and a step-by-step process of elimination method. We believe this will help many of our students.

We never sought to have any student dependent on our channels, so this is an important evolution to our sharing of the teachings.

We believe we have given you at least some “food for thought” until then.

[Excerpt from Geraldine's Infant Soul Lifetimes]

[GeraldineB] Since most of [a previous] Grand Cycle was spent without speech; how was being a Sage expressed?

      [MEntity]
In response to your first question: we would not say "most of this grand cycle" was without speech, and we would also point out that organized and formulated speech in the modern context is not necessary for Expression.

Before speech became formal or organized, there was Cording, which was a means of communication that was depended upon greatly by the species. Cording allows for entire concepts and feelings and images to be transferred between bodies.

Cording is a kind of "elastic" thread of energy that attaches between bodies that interact.

These are not magical, and can (eventually) be measured and quantified, but exist as literal frequencies that lock onto one another for various reasons.

[GeraldineB] I've read the discussions and questions on Cording, but I'd never thought of it in terms of communication

      [MEntity]
Because Sages tend toward more organized and formal communication, Sages tended to become ports for many to connect through.

Sages could receive a muddled concept or idea or feeling, give it a clearer, cleaner form, and then transmit that to the receiver.

[GeraldineB] Is this part of the purpose of 3 inputs -- especially early in the development of a sentient species?

      [MEntity]
Sages were often the only reason a group survived when out gathering foods, as they could convey across a plain or hillside that danger was on the way.

Yes, Geraldine, that would be valid.

Artisans are more about giving personal form to expression, while Sages are more about translating expression into a form that can be received.

So they became quite important "hubs" of communication for Cording.

Yes, Cording is precisely for communication.

Of course, being out of a body was not much different in terms of how this works as a form of communication, so acting as a Guide was just as meaningful.

[GeraldineB] So, Guides can form a physical type of connection, similar to cording?

      [MEntity]
We would call it a frequency, to keep from being too locked into an idea of "physical" as it is understood.

It would be much like communicating to someone underwater, using a walkie talkie, if you will. There are many frequencies that can transcend the form taken by matter.

[Excerpt from Michael Speaks: Conscious Connection to Essence (Part 3 of 3)]

Note: This entire set of sessions is highly recommended.

      [Michael_Entity]
In our sharing with you our various perspectives of what is and isn’t being conscious of Essence, we believe a practical examination of each Essence Role would be beneficial. In our examination we will share what we perceive are the Maya (or Great Lesson) of that particular role and a more ‘organic’ approach to determining what might be considered rejection of Essence or what might be considered acceptance of Essence.

We will note here that the positive and negative poles of the Essence ARE NOT indications of being conscious or accepting of Essence. A fragment in the Negative Poles is just as potentially “in Essence” as a fragment in the positive poles, at least in terms of experiencing its life. What we have sought to exchange with you is what it means to reject Essence or accept Essence as part of your primary being. Those who reject Essence are in deep isolation and a myriad of other traumatic or deteriorating experiences, regardless of how together their life appears or how wonderful their work and relationships and successes are. Those who are accepting and conscious of Essence usually have the enthusiasm to ‘make the best of everything’, even in the midst of what ‘should’ be devastating. Poverty, drama, accidents, horror are NOT signs of disconnection from Essence, they are merely experiences. A positive pole role can still be at its apparent ‘best’ yet still be disconnected from Essence. A negative pole role can be as difficult and trying as expected, and be conscious. The keys are in the act of Decisions and CHOICES.

In the moments of your darkest despair, if you can “look up” and recognize that this space is simply where you are at the moment, even if you seek no resolution beyond that realization, half of your battle is completed. When you say “yes, this is where I am right now, I know I could do something but I do not feel like it right now”, you have granted yourself an open door to Essence. Acknowledging your state of mind, your resistance, your struggles, etc. are in that very moment your decision and choice to allow or change, you become immediately centered and present, regardless of your choice in either direction. This will immediately and in that moment connect you consciously to Essence. This does not mean your mood or situation will magically remove itself from your life, but you have opened your world and option for greater probabilities by that single choice, a millionfold.

Besides your initial acknowledgment that you may have dropped your connection to Essence, we will say that the most powerful and profound choice you can make next is to ASK FOR HELP. The body is not designed to sustain animation and life without connection to Essence for any extended period of time once sentience has moved in. We want to note at this point that there is no REAL disconnection from Essence; we merely use these terms for convenience, even the term ‘rejection’ is inaccurate in light of the truth, but these terms capture the experience and we will continue to use them with this understanding. We will begin now with each Essence, but first, we will pause for a few questions, if there are any, about what we have shared thus far.

Therefore, each Essence will have its “Great Lesson” and this ‘lesson’ will always recur each lifetime in some form. There will be no lifetime that does not struggle with this ‘lesson’, however briefly. Regardless of the dynamics of personality and its chosen emphasis of challenge, the Essence IN ITSELF has its challenges, though it is seen from a very different perspective and eagerly played with. This results from Essence “forgetting” the inherent challenges of the physical plane while being Astral. The body has to regain consciousness each lifetime regardless of soul age and seeks to grow back into the soul age last reached in the previous life.

We will address the SCHOLAR now. The Scholar that is connected to Essence and conscious has learned its Great Lesson, which revolves around the reality of shared love. This Scholar has realized with a great amount of profundity that they will not love another until they have sought to love themselves. As we have said, there are many of these Role symptoms you all may find applicable, but for each Role, you will see they are a deeper lesson when specifically considered. All other Roles have an “easier” time at loving and being loved than the Scholar does. The Scholar who is connected to Essence has realized they are whole and complete, that they like themselves and have decided to trust and open their hearts to their life. They recognize that ALL aspects of life are capable of being loved, even themselves and all the hard times passed through.

When the Scholar is disconnected or rejecting of Essence, they do their best to ignore their lives, to resist the examination that not everything is fine. This Scholar refuses to examine their vulnerabilities and have not dealt with their shadow feelings, resulting in acts of dominance or power struggles. They have never experienced intimacy of any depth due to these things. They become adept at arguing their points, ignoring the pains of their past, destroying or deteriorating any relationship or person whom touches too closely too personal areas of pain and sensation. They are Stubbornness manifest. They, more than any other Role, truly fear what is called love. The disconnected Scholar can still bring in a definite resource of love into their lives, but this is usually sought only out of need for refuge, a place to securely hold up the walls around their own hearts. The Scholar disconnected from Essence can be one of the most painful and emotionally tormenting of all exchanges for someone trying to love them.

Some suggestions for bringing more of Essence in might be to talk to children about their perspective on life, actually play with children or play on a child’s playground. Seeking laughter of any kind brings Essence immediately back in for a Scholar. Seeking the experience of the aroma and visuals of botanical gardens or observing the ocean can help, or having flowers within visual and olfactory range.

[Excerpt from Energy Report: July 2010]

      MEntity:
Spiritualism could be described as the philosophy of the immaterial, intangible, and non-physical as potential forces to consider. This philosophy can range from the more obvious spirituality that is often contained in religion, and personal values that include the concept of a soul with realms beyond the physical, to the intangibilities, hypotheses, and theories of science, along with thought, emotion, and anticipated long-term consequences. The Spiritualist philosophy does not always manifest as stereotypical religious, pagan, new age, or other metaphysical spirituality, but can manifest as a consideration of possibilities, long-term consequences, and the factor of thought and emotion as it plays in the world of action and result. ...

The Spiritualist Attitude has the greatest capacity for True Intelligence as it has the natural inclination for grasping the long-term consequences of thought, feeling, and action. It may be thought that those who are professional scientists and researchers are those who would not have Spiritualist as an Attitude, but something more along the lines of Skeptic or Realist, but that is not the case. Truly scientific thought comes from the imagination, visions, and the by-passing of logic that is necessary for breakthroughs.

All Attitudes have the capacity for True Intelligence, but Spiritualist defaults to embracing the emotional, intuitive, perceptive forms of navigation, which are important elements of True Intelligence that other Attitudes can tend to reject, resist, or limit to specific contexts. The Spiritualist does not restrict intelligence to logic, and embraces the perceptive and intuitive, and this can be its strength or its weakness. The Positive Pole of Spiritualist is Verification, which allows for possibility, anticipation, and potential, but elaborates upon those qualities and validates them through the combined use of logic, intuition, and feeling. Validation for the Spiritualist is done through a loop of awareness that seeks to match possibility, pattern, and probability against actuality. The Negative Pole is Belief, which throws out all logic, intuition, and feeling and simply decides what is valid, or accepts what has been deemed as valid by others.

[Extracted from Energy Report: January 2015 ]

MEntity: ... With the Scholar energy coming in, a kind of detached, cool-headedness might be involved around all of this and throughout the year. Even as there may be startling realizations or events, the Scholar year tends to help minimize the drama. In the Positive Pole, KNOWLEDGE, our students will likely pull from experience as a means of keeping perspective, gaining insight, and exploring options, while if in the Negative Pole, THEORY, our students may decide what is true without having any basis of experience for this conclusion, making decisions and taking actions based from lack of experience. The latter is how one learns to make decisions based on experience, so it is not a “bad thing” to be in Theory and to take risks that then gain one experience that can be turned into Knowledge. However, sometimes the decisions and choices are to take no risk, take no action, and to remain locked in familiarity, which is one of the slowest forms of “death” for a Scholar. By “death” we mean that the life force slowly drains from them in ways that become reflected as a lack of enthusiasm, a lack of curiosity, a lack of effort, a lack of interest, a lack of openness and inquisitiveness. These Scholars “know what they know” and that is determined to be enough, even if it is painfully outdated knowledge. And so the year of the Scholar can be explored in such a way, as well, locked in familiarity, lack of enthusiasm and curiosity, distanced from the very life force that fuels you.
