  • 7 Stages of Fulfilling a Life Task

    Troy

[Note: This is an edited version about the 7 Levels of Life Task excerpted from a student’s posted blog on the TLE website. The information was channeled in July ’09 by Troy Tolley. The edits were only to remove personal evaluations.]

[Note: The 4th IM channeling dates from before. GLB]

[Question] what is Michael's definition of real purpose / real task / real mission – is this something that is contractual between our essence and our fragment, and essence will come in to communicate it to us… it seems that this “real work” occurs for fragments between the 4th I.M. and 5th I.M. Does it have 7 levels of operation ??? And, if so, what are they??? Maybe some people do it before the 4th and, starting of the 4th – and, do it throughout their lives starting of the 5th – and, do it throughout their lives

    [Michael Entity]
We would think our phrase of “Life Task” may be of relevance here, and we would define that as “the original motivation for the physical form and for the dynamics of the Personality.” There are no contracts in this case, but there are intentions and agreements that are helped along by Essence until the Personality is no longer interested.

The Life Task is what Essence intended to experience in the lifetime through this particular Personality.

What Essence intends NEVER overrides what Personality decides. Essence has no urgency for these intentions because it is fully aware of the fact that it can create another lifetime and body for trying again. In addition to the option for creating new lifetimes for the intent of a task, there are also parallel branches within a single lifetime where, more often than not, at least one version of “you” does co-create the life with Essence and fulfill the task. Essence will never impose its vision upon the Personality beyond the original motivation and design.

Most Personalities can determine their Life Task quite easily because it is more often than not something they already do. The Life Task is a primary consideration in the design of Personality, so whether one experiences the fulfillment of that task, or merely develops fruitless habits and patterns, the clues would still be there.

If one is not already doing something related to the Life Task, then clues are usually found in what one WISHES one were doing.

It is valid that the 4th Internal Monad is usually the stage within the life when a fragment truly questions the alignment of self with soul, or life with essence, or path with presence, depending on the spirituality of the individual.

There are 7 stages to the process of fulfilling the Life Task and they correspond to the 7 stages within the 4th Internal Monad.

    Stage 1: INITIATION

    +enthusiasm -indifference

This stage is hardly noticeable since you have only just placed your consciousness into the new context. This stage relates to the Instinctive Center, therefore “kicking in” the Monad without the individual being particularly conscious of this.

Indications of the initial stage are usually marked by enthusiasm and anticipation. A simple delight in your potential future or accomplishments.

Since this is simply a technical reference, and not really measurable enough to recognize, we suggest using the signs of the Second Stage as a starting point, possibly “working back” to a point where you might have seen the initial stages begin to manifest. Most will find there was a point when there was either a sudden enthusiasm that “something” was different, or a definitive point wherein the fragment feels further removed from its own life.

This Stage, then, evaluates your sense of Trust.

    Stage 2: INTROSPECTION

    +awareness -brooding

This stage is heavily marked by dread, anxiety, and intense Introspection. Depending on your resistance and your Overleaves, you may experience anything from a realization of your personal worth and a positive realization of your life's impact, or virtual self-implosion and self-degradation.

Different cultures will respond to this Stage depending on parental upbringing and definitions of Authority.

This is an introspective stage in the context of a Monad to evaluate accomplishments and plans, so there may be a processing of a Scary Parent or issues with Authority you have carried around being belittled for your “mistakes”, decisions and choices and expression.

In that processing, you may experience a new sense of connection to “something” more like a Supportive Parent or Authority from within to gently nudge and concur with you through the life.

This Stage evaluates your perceptions of Authority and your reaction to your sense of self-importance and self-value.

Stage 2 brings up energy from the Emotional Center.

    Stage 3: REALIZATION

    +freedom -separation

This Intellectually-centered Stage begins to release the ideas of the past as a source for the future. New ideas and identities will emerge here.

Most realizations will be reserved for inner exploration, but, nonetheless, a change has taken place in how the individual views its expression as a part of a larger picture. On the more expansive side, one knows what must begin to be done, and starts to anticipate a general plan, not always with clarity, but with a certainty that “something must be done.” On the more constricting side, one begins to pull back from the future and “hide within,” or away from external reflections.

This stage evaluates your perception of Responsibility. This Stage usually lasts the longest, especially in the Fourth Internal Monad, as you probe your beliefs.

    Stage 4: MANIFESTATION

    +purpose -otiose

This Stage brings energy out through the Moving Center as you begin now to express to yourself, and others, more confidently what/who you are. In the context of the Fourth Monad, it is where you begin doing or, at least, pursuing/discovering what you are pulled to do as a reflection of your “contribution” and original Tasks. Successful movement through this is seen as a comfortable expression of your daily activities and endeavors.

Resisting this Stage and remaining here would result in sluggishness, ineffective portrayals of self, and sometimes rage/anger in place of empowerment.

This stage explores your concepts of Purpose.

    Stage 5: CONTENTMENT

    +satisfaction -contention

Finally you begin to feel/see some satisfaction from your progress through the Internal Monad. In the context of the Fourth Internal Monad, whether you have completed or accomplished a Task becomes irrelevant against the contentment of what you choose to do.

In this Stage, you realize the amount of density you have been containing and you begin to “lighten up” about your movement.

In the positive pole you will see personal happiness now becoming a factor in your decisions, and in this Fourth Monad, you've released treasured securities found in the oppressive/elusive “big plan or PURPOSE,” and find this more appropriate guide. Otherwise, the negative pole finds an individual always at odds with their environment, always in a state of contention and debate about their worth/purpose.

This stage evaluates your perceptions of Love. The Higher Emotional Center is highlighted here.

    6: MAGNETIZATION

    +attraction -repulsion

In this Stage, you now begin to draw in your agreements, Karma, and Support for new perspectives, or reconnect/stabilize existing ones. The positive pole maintains clear communication, acknowledgment of Traveling Companions, and a more accurate view of the future. You now see with clarity the long-term impact of your efforts alongside the current “demands.” Those who find themselves in a state of rejection, isolation, and depression have chosen to experience the negative pole. A sense of deep longing begins to unfold in the negative pole of Stage 6, since so much has been deemed “unacceptable.”

This stage opens you to your perceptions of Truth.

    Stage 7: EMANATION

    +alignment -incongruity

In this stage you find the peace of routine that becomes you. A sense of wholeness returns and “getting back” to your life. In the positive pole, alignment occurs with Essence; in the negative pole, life becomes incongruous and sporadic in nature, with no bearing. Regardless of the pole, you will emanate your sense of self at that point with no resistance.

This stage engages your Higher Moving Center, and examines Beauty, or Energy.

It is important here to note that a completion of the Monad does not necessarily mean a “positive” completion. In most cases where the negative pole becomes emphasized, completion is not reached due to the internal degradation and combustion that occurs along the way. Many do complete the Monad, however, within parameters acceptable to them that would technically be regarded as the negative pole.

This is the choice of the individual and has no bearing on their being a “good” or “bad” person; we do not say this, nor do we imply this. We merely state the differentiation between what is expansive and self aware, and what is not. The negative completion is not expansive or self-aware, relatively speaking.

This session took place on June 8, 2008.

[Michael Entity] Hello to everyone. We are here.

[QUESTION] I see a lot of folks who have bad dreams in my work and have found that while interpretation can be useful, people often find relief just by imagining a better ending for the dream. I don't remember where I learned that (maybe from you?). Anyway it seems to bring relief from nightmares. What is the mechanism by which this works? is it just that I say it will and people believe me? Or is it something astral? or simply the subconscious mind doing its thing? All that seems to be required is a good imagination and being in "alpha" waves.

      [Michael Entity]
There is a level of dreaming that is primarily symbolic and these dreams are where issues from the waking life are being processed or examined. It does not require a fragment to be asleep for those symbols to be meaningful, but the symbols that are recalled from the dream are often the most directly-significant to the issues. For most fragments, the dream state can help resolve these issues being played out symbolically. This symbolic level of dreaming is very similar to how fragments experience and interact on the Astral Plane anyway, but for those fragments who have not resolved the issues being played out in symbolic dreaming, then bringing in the consciousness of the waking personality can help break the worrying cycle that has led to what some describe as "nightmares." This method of resolution is a natural strength for most fragments, which is why it so naturally occurs during sleep where the Personality dissolves to its default nature of strengths and weaknesses. Nearly all fragments assign symbolism to emotional, intellectual, spiritual, and physical elements of the life, though this symbolism is often lost to the conscious personality (waking state). When you, QUESTIONER, direct a fragment to use those symbols and experiences from the dream in a conscious way to bring about a break in the cycle and to direct toward resolution, it is not only resolving the issue in many ways, but bringing about an alignment between the conscious and subconscious selves.

This same method can be used for those who are not having nightmares or remembering dreams:

Examining an issue within the waking state and breaking it down into symbolism, then manipulating those symbols into a way that brings about a sense of direction, closure, or change can help implement those very things in the reality.

For instance, a fragment may be feeling obstacles or patterns that keep him or her locked into poverty or survival modes. This fragment might choose a symbol to represent himself and the obstacles or patterns, adding in a current idea of a solution, and manipulate these into a way that displays a symbolic solution. Keeping that symbolic sense of solution at hand, in mind, heart, or even visually depicted (drawn out), can help to break the current symbolic pattern.

[QUESTIONER] cool! bypasses the intellect setting up barriers I would think

[Michael Entity] Your assessment is valid, for it is the Intellect that often keeps movement locked into an undesirable pattern. This is by no means true in all situations, but in many, it is.

[QUESTION] Could you give an example of this conscious working with symbols such as the poverty or survival mode idea?

      [Michael Entity]
Questioner, the symbolism would have to be specific to the individual, so our example will not be universal.

For instance, one example might be a CAT to represent the individual, a BALL INSIDE A CIRCULAR TUBED TRACK with just a bit of a slit along the inside ring of the tube for reaching at the ball, to represent the pattern/obstacle. The current situation has the cat swatting at the ball over and over and often in a frenzy while the ball is forever locked inside that circular track. No amount of swatting or maneuvering is going to change this ball's circular roll within the tubed track.

This person might then change the pattern by realizing that the symbolic pattern of the ball in the track means that everything about what the cat is doing is never going to get anywhere beyond chasing current ideas, actions, and feelings in circles.

This situation would either require intervention (maybe a human to come along and break open the track to get to the ball) or to simply walk away to a completely new adventure. For the sake of this example, it might seem to be the most directly implementable action to simply walk away from the current ideas and actions. This person might then imagine the cat walking away wistfully and finding a small tree with accessible branches bearing dollar bills, all dangling in the wind. The cat is seen as having an hilarious and playful time jumping and swatting at the branches and knocking down the dollar bills into a pile.

This person, then, might keep that image in mind when he or she begins to feel trapped again within patterns that are obviously not working so that he or she can be open to other, more accessible, inputs and possibilities within the reality.

Keep in mind that these symbolic plays are NOT the solution in themselves, but are symbolic shifts toward internal solutions or breaks from patterns in how one is perceiving and interpreting reality, which is then a powerful step toward finding and creating external "real life" solutions and breaks.

We would also suggest examining why this person might have chosen himself to be symbolized by a CAT, looking at all that a cat means to that person and applying that insight as a way to discover how he or she sees the self in relation to the issue.

We will point out here that this topic could be an entire discussion in itself and one that might be worth examining in the future.

[QUESTION] What is meditation? Is it just silencing the internal chattering, or is something else involved? I recently had some personal advice in meditation from Michael, but trying to follow it, I started wondering what meditation actually is.

      [Michael Entity]
From our perspective, "meditation" is a word to describe the work through a triad that leads to adaptable balancing among all centers. This triad could be described as: EXAMINATION, IMPLEMENTATION, REALIZATION. We will describe this in detail now.

First, a fragment would Examine the life to determine which Center is seeming least used, least effective, least understood, etc. For simplistic purposes, we will contain this to the 3 Primary Centers. So if one were to see that the MOVING Center is being used the least, or is the least effective, then this would determine the direction of IMPLEMENTATION. This would mean that your "meditation" would be of a Moving-Centered sort. Stillness or stereotypical concepts of "meditation" would not work for this fragment. This fragment could then Implement a moving meditation into his or her days. This moving meditation could be anything that includes the body and movement, which means that meditation could be anything from exercise to dancing to simple movements of the body while seated. Once a method has been Implemented, then the practice of this on a regular basis will lead to REALIZATION, which simply describes the effect of that particular meditation. In this case, a balance within the self that has taught the body how to call upon its moving center in a more effective way. The Implementation stage is the most important stage as it requires some amount of commitment for Realization to come about. The entirety of the experience from Examination to Implementation to Realization is "meditation." In other words, Meditation is not simply a separation from your routines (examination), nor is it simply the clear focus of intent during parts of your day (implementation), nor is it just the benefits on the other side of implementation (realization). It is a triad of effort.

[QUESTION] what would be an example of using Emotional as the Center for Implementation?

[Michael Entity] Listening to music that stimulates the emotions could be good for some fragments, while watching dramatic movies could be good for others; still others might find a walk through beautiful environments to be a means for implementing Emotional; exploring art could be another example for some.

[QUESTION] So it doesn't matter if I think of this and that during implementation, as long as I move?

[Michael Entity] The more consciousness one can direct toward that which is being implemented, the greater the Realization. So if one is implementing Movement, one can think and feel whatever one wishes, but allow the consciousness to fully embrace the body, the sensations, the experience of the movement as clearly as possible. It cannot hurt to be as focused as one can be on the implementation, but it is not necessary to block other natural elements within you.

      [QUESTIONER] I thought so

      [Michael Entity]
Those who experience the Realization will find that one can think, feel, and act in a way that each does not overshadow or block the other.

This is another topic worth exploring, if our students wished.

[QUESTION] I want to know about the 4th internal monad and how one would know if they were on the way to manifesting their true personality

      [Michael Entity]
The easiest way one can gauge whether one is moving forward through the 4th Internal Monad in a way that is a positive transition, or to gauge whether one has completed a 4th Internal Monad in a way that was in the Positive Pole, is to ask one, simple question:

      DO I LIKE ME?

To the degree that a fragment can honestly say that he or she likes himself or herself, is the degree to which the 4th Internal Monad is being completed, or has been completed, in the Positive Pole.

The Positive Pole of the entire 4th Internal Monad is Self-Realization, which is the experience of being present with who you are and generally liking who you are. The Negative Pole is Acquiescence, which is the feeling of being forced or succumbing to "who you are," and not really liking who that is.

In short, if you can answer the question DO I LIKE ME? with an answer of "yes" to any degree, then you are generally manifesting True Personality to that degree.

[QUESTION] There are different ”schools” teaching how to do psychic readings/how to read energy fields/do energy work. When doing a reading it's sometimes being used different energy techniques for different issues coming up in a reading. For instance: 1.Create and destroy, 2.Removing fear energies, 3.Delete programming, 4.Erasure and 5.Astral healing. If possible I would like Michael make a comment on the use of these techniques and the fact that some of these schools, even today, try to keep some secrecy around the energy techniques.

      [Michael Entity]
Many "schools" who claim secrecy over their techniques are run by, and determined by, Baby Souls. The techniques involved would be beneficial to other Baby Souls, and to some Young Souls, but probably quite ineffective for Mature or Older Souls to use. This is because the techniques and beliefs that make these work are mythological and superstitiously rooted. If one can adapt these Baby Soul concepts into a more mature language and method, then the schooling might not be lost on the Mature or Older soul, but this would have to be kept in mind along the way. For instance, the idea that one can heal another is a Baby Soul concept, but the reality that one can help another to heal himself is a Mature concept. Even on the most physical of levels of intervention, a physical doctor can only do so much in treating a fragment and the fragment "being healed" must ultimately do the healing. Tending, or intervening the impact of wounds is one thing; but healing is always a personal matter.

      The older souls know this.

We mention this as an example because many of the more secretive techniques and schoolings teach as an undercurrent a kind of power over others (whether for "good" or "bad,") and this ultimate power is simply not valid.

If your technique for healing is considerate of the dynamic that needs to be in place between healer and wounded, with an holistic awareness, then the technique would be the most effective and valid. Techniques that leave out the choice of another tend to lead to Karma.

[QUESTION] I have recently been involved in discussions with a few of my friends regarding political and governmental systems regarding which are the most effective. My friends would gladly describe themselves as “libertarian” whereas I cannot completely proscribe to such an ideology, if only because their description of “libertarianism” seems to give too much authority to the private sector and private interests; of which I am not entirely comfortable. They would likely label me as “socialist” or as “bleeding heart liberal” if they didn't know me better! I guess the questions are: Is there or are there ideal governmental system(s) or ideology for the current average soul age we are in currently, based on what Michael has perceived from other sentient beings? What do these systems look like? Perhaps what the United States and the rest of the world is currently experiencing in their governments are pretty typical for our current soul age development? That would be my perception at least. Also, what do typical governments look like on worlds that have a majority of old souls? Or do they even have governments?

[Michael Entity] The politics of any given region or period of time usually describe the friction between the approaching paradigm and the current paradigm, each respectively defined by the approaching dominant Soul Age and the current dominant Soul Age. Many of the names assigned to the varying "parties" are tedious and unnecessary, so we will speak in broader terms here.

NOTE FROM TROY: Some editing was done from the original text as I asked Michael for clarifications and questioned a couple of the original details. Also, the true definitions and delineations for all of the political/governmental systems can really get complicated, so Michael's response seems to be exactly what they've said, a "broader" perspective, at best. They did explain to me that there are really only three political systems, but a multitude of systems within those systems.

      [Michael Entity]
It could be said that the following political systems are associated in this way:

Infant Souls have no politics or order, and are therefore at the mercy of whatever dominant political system is in place at the time. However, they may be most comfortable with Dictatorship, which would be implemented by Baby Souls.

The Baby/Young politics have shown up as Dictatorship, Capitalism, and Socialism.

The Young/Mature politics have shown up as Monarchy, Republic, Socialism, and Communism.

The Mature/Old politics have shown up as Monarchy, Democracy, and Anarchy.

Old Soul politics return to a state of no politics, but more of what might be considered Anarchy. We use the word "anarchy" in its true definition, not as the Young or Mature soul might exploit the term. The anarchy usually takes on a form that would be recognized as Tribalism.

      In response to your questions:

We would say that the politics of your current world are exactly indicative of the shifts from the dominant paradigm/soul age to another.

From what we can see of other populations dominated by Old Soul Ages and paradigms, there are no governments that you would recognize beyond being more tribal groups in communication and exchange with one another, but with no discernible leader or authority.

This is one of the reasons our teaching is particularly attractive to the older soul, since there is no discernible authority beyond the self, and even the sense of self is held in question to a degree that allows for sensitive consideration of all factors involved in the life.

An Old Soul world is similar.

[QUESTION] I realize my background in government is obviously lacking when I ask this question, but: Is there any distinguishable difference between a democracy and a republic according to Michael's perception? By including both, it seems to be implied that there is a difference.

      [Michael Entity]
We differentiate a Republic from a Democracy in that a Republic has a more specifically-defined body of qualified voters or elected representatives, while a Democracy seeks to include all people, even those who might not be obviously qualified. The concept of Democracy can get confusing in some cultures such as in the United States because several forms of government are in place. Rather than a pure Democracy, the United States is far more accurately described as a Republic, which is a form of Democracy, but not true Democracy. In addition to this, the general promotion of Democracy is run from an Authoritarian perspective, or as a Plutocracy, to be specific. It could be said that the Physical economy of the United States is run by Plutocratic (authoritarian) politics, while the Emotional economy is run by Republican (Democratic) methods, and this is to be considered when looking at politics. There are Physical, Emotional, Intellectual, and Spiritual levels of Politics and Economy to consider in any system.

The closest to an old soul political system that exists in your world today is what is experienced as "the Internet."

[QUESTION] How are the Internet and politics related?

      [Michael Entity]
If "politics" is seen as a term to describe how a body of people govern themselves and resolve apparent conflicts, then the Internet could be seen as a system of politics. In this case, as would be the case for the Old Soul world, COMMUNICATION would be at the core of those politics, or the INTELLECT as economy.

The Infant Soul uses Freedom; the Baby Soul uses Authority; the Young Soul uses Capital; the Mature Soul uses Well-Being; and the Old Soul uses Communication at the root of their politics.

The "ultimate" political system, in the end, will have to utilize all of these factors to govern a mix of soul ages. Hence, the politics of a Democracy or a Republic will include previous political emphases to some degree, but with the more current politics being the emphasis.

[QUESTION] And so, just as we are doing here in this chat, everyone determines for themselves, and then relates to the outside world through communication. but as an autonomous being similarly engaged with other autonomous beings/people? Something like this?

      [Michael Entity]
We think we have understood your question and we would agree. It could be said then that the politics of the Old Soul are CONTEXTUAL. Certain politics apply within specific instances, but are not seen as appropriate across the board. And each person determines his or her level of compliance within certain contexts, or freely moves to more appropriate contexts.

We realize this is far from being deeply explored, but we will move on now.

[QUESTION] Since we acquire new bodies each lifetime, why do we still carry "memories" of injuries from past lives into new lifetimes? How does this work? For ex. my back pain has been channeled as being from an injury from a past life that I am working out.

      [Michael Entity]
One only carries "memories" of injuries into a current life when those injuries or memories are relevant to the current life. They are never random, and never literal. For instance, your back pain is a manifestation of similar patterns being explored within this lifetime that are resonant to other lifetimes of similar exploration. It is not that the injury was literally carried over, but that you are doing similar things in a similar way that then resonate to that other lifetime. That resonance can help in healing the current injury only insofar as insights can be gained from experiences integrated by your Essence from that lifetime. The resonance to the other lifetime is not to give justification or distraction from your current ailments, but to allow a means of direct access to the wisdom stored by Essence from that lifetime.

If one can imagine one lifetime as one point on a line, while another lifetime is another point at a distance on that line, and then imagine a line being drawn from one lifetime to another, that line CANNOT be "drawn" without first creating an arc through Essence, which is "above the line." Often Personality can relate to other Personalities before it can relate to Essence, so it "remembers" (or receives through a channel) the reference to another lifetime of similarity, but this is merely a method for indirectly accessing Essence. Keeping that in mind can help the point of that remembering and resonance.

However, to be more specific in response to your question, it is not the injury that carries over, nor the memory, but the PATTERNS that are stored in your Instinctive Center, which is pulled from one lifetime and then "inserted" into another lifetime. This is not a literal event, but the image is helpful. It can also hep to think of it as a program, or a collection of programs/software that is now available to the new personality. Depending on the choices of the current personality, certain programs/software/patterns will emerge for use, and many will not.

In your case, QUESTIONER, you have called upon a theme of self-esteem issues, and these issues are often ignored or overridden on the emotional or intellectual levels to a degree that physical manifestation helps in tending to that theme of issues. You will then find resonance to lifetimes where a similar physical injury or ailment was being explored for similar reasons.

[QUESTION] Could Michael suggest some energy-work on such an issue?

      [Michael Entity]
The "energy work" for any given ailment would have to be relative to the ailment and the individual, but we can say that any chronic aching that is related to self-esteem issues would require "energy work" on the Emotional Body as a focal point, while emphasis of RELIEF on the Physical Body will help in allowing that focus. This energy work on the Emotional Body might be anything from cathartic expression to gestalt therapies to flotation therapies to singing therapies to permission therapies that allow for more of what one craves, etc.

We wish to point out here that the patterns carried over from one lifetime to another are only brought into reality by the choices of the current personality. For instance, there have have been lifetimes for the Questioner that have been lived between the past life back injury and the back injury of this lifetime. Back pain was not an issue in those lifetimes between.

A more poetic way to understand this might be that the songs heard from other lifetimes depends on the melodies played by this one.

[QUESTION] I would like more information on the upcoming (or current??) nexus. It feels to me as if everything over a period of some months has been leading to this (at least for me personally.) Lots of old wounds and even fear patterns (particularly self-esteem, self-worth issues) have been triggered. I recognize them for what they are, but I need to find a way to stay focused on what it is that I want to create, particularly in terms of my career. I am also dealing with a boss who has a very different approach to life than I do. I am guessing she is some combination of sage/priest/warrior - very focused, driven (passion mode?) energy though even though I think she is emotionally centered. Whereas, even though I am a scholar, and intellectually centered, my approach is more fuzzy, diffuse, and go with the flow, or at least it feels that way. Any suggestions here? Please direct your answer in any way that would be helpful to others in general. I can follow up with Troy on the more personal aspects later.

      [Michael Entity]
What we can say about the upcoming Nexus is that there seems to be an exploration of the concept of COMPARISONS/CONTRASTS. This seems to be resulting from the enthusiasm/collapse extremes that we have described for many of our students. The enthusiasm comes from the Persistence energy that pushes beyond the collapsing experience of Unchanging energy. It is fair to compare and contrast the unchanging energy with the persistent energy, or the collapsing energy with the enthusiastic energy, but will not be fair to oneself to presume one is stuck in this pattern indefinitely, or to presume one has to remain in one or the other.

In light of this, many of you may find representatives of your inner enthusiasm/collapse around you.

In your case, it could be said that your "boss" represents the enthusiasm, while "you" represent the collapses. This then leads to your attributing distaste for enthusiasm because your boss expresses it differently from what you would, and this leads to distaste for yourself since you see most easily the collapse in you.

[QUESTION] and how to move beyond this?

[Michael Entity] What one could do, using your example, is to try what we suggested in our Energy Report, which is to DO SOMETHING DIFFERENT. In this case, it might mean to flip and reverse your perspective and interpretations in a completely enlightening and revitalizing way (instead of in the debilitating way that is your current pattern). Allow your boss to be the wonderful representative of how you create your collapses, and for yourself to represent what actually inspires your enthusiasm. In other words, doing things your way actually leads to productivity, creativity, and meaning, while doing things her way leads to confusion, overwhelm, and hopelessness.

[QUESTIONER] I'm not quite grasping this

      [Michael Entity]
If we are seeing the situation clearly, we would say that your collapses come in your comparing yourself to others forms of productivity and trying to implement methods not natural to you, whereas realizing what does and does not work for you allows for you to implement practices that encourage your enthusiasm and do not require you to conform to anyone else's methods.

We believe we may be getting into personal territory and will halt our response here, but simply point out that the upcoming Nexus is one that emphasizes CONTRASTS and COMPARISONS and this is to allow for heightened awareness of what IS and IS NOT working for you in various areas of your life. The process of Comparing and Contrasting can often feel like self-judgment or judgment of others, and it is just that, but it is not something to be feared. It is simply a natural method for navigating life. To fear it is to remain stuck. To remain stuck is to remain at the extreme of collapse.

We will conclude here, then. Good day to each of you. Goodbye.

      "Transforming Chief Features"
      May 25, 2014
      Channel: Troy Tolley

      MEntity:
Hello to each of you. We are here, now. We can begin.

We have had much to say about the subject of the Chief Negative Features, and much more can be said, of course, so what we will offer up today is not definitive, but simply more to consider as you work to understand and embrace your fears, transforming them away from being obstacles and paralysis to being informative and helpful.

Fear was never "meant" to be a challenge or something to undermine any fragment's life, but much like anything that exists, it is a tool that can become a pivotal resource toward Agape or a restrictive halt away from everything.

Fear, or the Chief Negative Features, are inherently "negative" because they describe the gap between "you" and "other," or "something else." Anything inherently divisive is "negative" in our teaching, but this does not mean it is inherently "bad."

Fear is inherent in Personality because Personality is inherently divided from all other things and people, and even from Essence in many ways.

From the moment one is born, the first, most primal fear is born along with you: the fear of non-attachment.

      This fear is biological.

It is what keeps "you" alive.

It is what clings to the mother, to the caretaker, what keeps the toddler close to the camp, to the tribe, and attached to its resources.

It is what keeps the body searching for foods, for water, for tools, etc.

Anything that is necessary for survival.

So, fear is quite "good" in that regard.

Any threat to the attachment of the biological self to its resources is highlighted and avoided, either by fight or flight.

Keep this in mind as you explore your own Chief Features, then, because at the heart of everyone's fears, it is this struggle with non-attachment that is key.

We will elaborate further upon that consideration as we explore the subject, if time permits.

For today's focus, we understand that the interest is in the various ways one can consciously make choices in behavior so as to relieve the effects of a particular fear, or Chief Feature.

The point of transforming your relationship to fear is because when fear is informative, it is simply a means of enhancing your capacity to choose. It is not much different from any warning system built in to any vehicle that alerts you as to when you may be in close proximity to a collision.

It would not make sense to argue that warning systems are removed from vehicles because the mere presence of those alerts implies something is wrong, flawed, or bad. That warning system is an advantage that increases the capacity for choice, for better navigation, for success in one's direction and endeavors.

However, when most struggle with the Chief Features as an issue, it is because the "warning system" goes off randomly, goes off without relevance, goes off constantly, etc. It is no longer associated with an actual threat, or with information.

Imagine the difference between enjoying a walk through the woods, watching the birds, the creatures, enjoying the sunlight, the babbling brook, your thoughts, and then noticing a bear in the distance to which you then steer clear of in a smart way, as compared to a walk in the woods where you presume that every twig cracking and every shadow is a bear.

Both of these methods are helpful for keeping you alert to bears, but one keeps you from noticing pretty much anything else.

If one's "warning system" is random, constant, or irrelevant, then that warning system becomes useless for navigation, and simply keeps you on one end of the spectrum of life. It keeps you on the side of "Being Alive" vs "Living."

We will speak of each of the Chief Features now, with a brief synopsis, and then a list of methods for how one can use his or her consciousness to transform that fear so that one is not just being alive, but can live again, so to speak.

      Synopsis of Self-Deprecation and Arrogance

SELF-DEPRECATION and ARROGANCE are attachments to how one defines one's self.

Self-Deprecation is the fear of NOT BEING ENOUGH, while Arrogance is the fear of BEING TOO MUCH.

Self-deprecation fears not being seen clearly, while Arrogance fears being seen too clearly.

Self-deprecation finds its scraps of self-esteem in being first to the punch for cutting himself or herself down. This is Self-deprecation's way of protecting the self from being invisible or feeling invisible or incompetent. The defense here is that if the individual can call out or showcase his or her own flaws first, then it is a way to show that he or she is on board with what they presume you will undoubtedly see, or are seeing already.

It is the only way they know how to be seen: through the lens of failures, flaws, insecurities, and doubts.

Arrogance, on the other hand, tries to protect its self-esteem by creating as protective a veneer as possible, hiding his or her insecurities behind a persona of false-confidence, offense, and defense. Since there is very little self-esteem here, it must be protected at all costs, often by deflecting through pointing out someone else's flaws or incompetence.

It is the only way they know how to keep any sense of self-esteem, by pretending that it exists in greater quantities than it does.

Self-deprecation points out its own flaws, and Arrogance points out yours.

      Self-Deprecation

The 7 Angles of Behavior for help in transforming Self-deprecation might be:

      1. YOU ARE NOT IN TROUBLE

For those who struggle with Self-deprecation, there can often be a haunting sense of constantly being on the verge of being caught, being called out, humiliated, made to be an example, or "in trouble." Even when there is nothing to warrant such concerns.

And even more so when there is such a need for concern.

Allow for failure, for being incompetent, and build on your experiences so that you can learn, or make choices to pursue other directions. If your only concern is whether you will be in trouble, or not, then you will never truly be your best.

      2. YOUR BEST MAY NOT BE THE BEST

There are going to be times when you do not meet the expectations of others, or yourself. And the very best that you can do may not be the best that someone else can do. That is a fact of existence. Embrace this and allow kindness as a process in your improvement, or as a part of your freedom to pursue your strengths.

      3. CLEAN YOUR CONSCIENCE

That is not a typo. We speak to the necessity for those in Self-deprecation to CLEAN their conscience. By this we mean that the individual take time to note just how much clutter is in the mind that is from the past, buried like shallow graves, gathered there like a cemetery of failures and flaws, ready to be dug up at a moment's notice. It is important that those in Self-deprecation regularly look at these experiences as a PART of who they are, and not defining who they are.

CLEAN your conscience of these metaphorical graves and begin to make room for life, for living things to grow there. Let the failures of the past act as fertilizer, if you will, rather than preserved as some sort of trophy that makes up for competence.

      4. CLEAN YOUR ENVIRONMENT

In addition to the clutter of the mind, those in Self-deprecation can fall into clutter of their space, reflecting the building debris of flaws, failures, failed expectations, etc.

For those with Self-deprecation, there can be a high tolerance for clutter, and this can be reflective of the tolerance for the the clutter in the mind, heart, and body.

A regular effort to clean, organize, and experience one's space helps to clean, organize, and experience one's self.

Attention to personal hygiene is important here, too. Those in Self-deprecation may not "smell" as a result of lacking personal hygiene, but they may very well skip on certain routines of care for the body that would help them to transform the sense of invisibility and inadequacy into self-nurturing and personal attentiveness.

      5. CARE FOR YOURSELF

Do not presume that someone else needs to, or should, or could do this for you.

Care for yourself in as many ways you can in a day. Give yourself good food, good entertainment, good bathing, good hygiene, kindness, patience, etc.

      6. STOP APOLOGIZING/EXCUSING

As long as you constantly apologize for yourself, you are not being responsible for yourself.

As long as you are making excuses, you are not being responsible.

Apologies and excuses are deflection from responsibility.

We are not speaking here in terms of the social courtesy of acknowledging grief, or acknowledging a slight, but apology and excuses as a buffer to protect from the ownership of response.

      7. OWN YOURSELF

By this we mean that you freely acknowledge your behaviors, your failures, your flaws, but respond to them through ownership, not as a way to deflect from further responsibility.

When you apologize or offer excuses, you are reacting. You are not owning. When you own yourself, you can respond as opposed to react, and this is key to responsibility.

AN ASIDE: Keep in mind that the Chief Features will not just show up as behaviors in yourself, but as behaviors you endure or attract in others, as well.

      Arrogance

The 7 Angles of Behavior for transforming ARROGANCE might be:

      1. NO ONE IS LOOKING

For those in Arrogance, the fear that everyone is watching them is high. There is a keen sense that every move and choice and action is being scrutinized and of high relevance to others. In most cases, that is simply not true. No one is watching you. Most do not care if your hair is messed up, you stumbled, or if you are meeting your own standards or expectations.

      2. CELEBRATE PRIVATELY

For many in Arrogance, there is a compulsion to make it known to others every little success, to point out immediately a win, or to even "humblebrag," which is a self-congratulation tucked into a false self-deprecation.

Allow yourself celebrate yourself with yourself.

Your successes are just as real with or without being used as a means for defining yourself to others.

See if you can embrace a success on your own without recruiting others to celebrate you.

      3. CELEBRATE OTHERS

Sometimes those in Arrogance can be so preoccupied with presuming everyone is watching them, that they forget to pay any meaningful attention to others.

      4. LEAVE YOURSELF ALONE

Those in Arrogance can be even harsher in self-criticism than those in Self-deprecation.

Self-deprecation can slide into a quiet defeat, but Arrogance can be relentless.

Many in Arrogance are their own worst bullies, if you will, taking on the voices of their past that criticized them, owning them so as to find some of their self-esteem in "siding" with this self-loathing.

      5. LEAVE OTHERS ALONE

Those in Arrogance can be of the worst bullies toward others, as well, actively or passively condescending in tone, words, behaviors, etc.

If you find that you are talking down about another person, or yourself (see 4), behaving in a way that is not constructive, or helpful, but simply emphasizing flaws, then it may be time to look at how you are giving rise to voices of criticism that you carry about yourself.

Criticism is helpful and meaningful, but not when only used as a means of deflection or protection.

      6. EMBRACE EQUALITY

By this we mean that while there will always be nuances among everyone and everything, with great gaps between common grounds, with some being better at some skills than others, or more socially celebrated than others, or even unfairly rewarded more than others, there is still profound relevance to the common ground of humanity and existence. In other words, allow comparisons to be informative, not defining.

When you see or feel you are better than another, or that another is acting as if better than you, then remind yourself of as much that you share as possible. This does not mean you are not better at what you do than someone else might be, or that another person is not more attractive to more people than you may be, but let yourself have that which is equally true, as well. You do not have to pretend there are no differences, but do not pretend there are no similarities, either.

      7. INVITE INTIMACY

More than most other Chief Features, Arrogance will keep others at a distance, even as they often feign being very open and up front with you.

Many in Arrogance will carefully construct a spectrum of revealing behaviors and expressions that others presume is all there is to know or see about that person, thus protecting the person in Arrogance from those who might otherwise pry.

So it can be helpful for the person in Arrogance to take some responsibility and care in consciously inviting others to be close, not presuming that others will find their way, and then looking up and wondering where everyone is.

Those in Arrogance can be of the loneliest people because they create the greatest moats of protection, but crave so desperately to be close at the same time.

And so it can be helpful to actively invite intimacy, either in obvious ways such as literally asking for conversation, inviting to social events, etc, or by simply allowing the self to be present with another, listening, paying attention, and responding with care. Intimacy is not always about receiving attention, but about giving it.

Due to the extensive elaboration on each of these Chief Features, we must suggest that this be broken up into a couple of sessions for delivery. We started with Self-deprecation and Arrogance, as these are most common for older souls, but we will have to elaborate upon the remaining Chief Features in another exchange.

We will open the floor here for the next 15 minutes so that questions can be asked.

      FLOOR IS NOW OPEN

[ViP] Is there any difference in how these Angles of Behavior should be interpreted or applied, based on whether the CF attempting to be transformed is primary, vs secondary, vs tertiary?

MEntity: Each of the 7 Angles we offered would likely be relevant in any context, but one of the angles may be more relevant than others of that Chief Feature.

[BrianW] Realizing there is not enough time to go over it in-depth, could you give a way to counteract the sliding of the negative poles of self-deprecation to self-destruction?

      MEntity:
If Self-deprecation is sliding to Self-destruction, it would mean that it is, first, accessing Stubbornness.  Self-deprecation cannot slide to Self-destruction otherwise. This means that Self-deprecation's Negative Pole of Self-abasement is sliding to Stubbornness' Negative Pole of Obstinance, and then over to Self-destruction's Suicide. When that is the case, it is likely that the Personality has decided what is so awful about the self, then refuses to change in any way that could be beneficial, which then leads to a sense of complete waste of life.

To help counteract this, one would need to slide to GREED's "positive" pole of APPETITE. Though no Chief Features is truly "positive," the positive poles do describe the path out of that Chief Feature. In this case, having an appetite for life again, an embrace of what one wants and needs, can greatly counter the sense that life is simply being wasted on the self.

Once that sense of appetite for life is remotely available, more life can come, more living. And that matters, even if only on a day to day basis.

[Mariusrehm] can it in any way be helpful to make others aware of what you think their features might be? is a certain amount of intimacy/closeness needed for them to not feel accused when that is addressed? or does everybody has to completely explore these things on their own?

      MEntity:
Marius, it is often more helpful for you to know the Chief Features of others than for you to point them out to them. Pointing out the Chief Features of others is only helpful if there is a mutual agreement to allow for this. Trust is necessary here, and even then it can be tricky. Of course, it is your choice as to whether you do this for someone, and how you do it, but we can say from experience that it is true that meaningful common ground and trust is fairly vital for the "photographing" of another to be useful to them. By "photographing" we mean those moments when one would offer up a "snapshot" of a moment or behavior of another for consideration.

In some cases, however, intervention may be necessary if a person is completely unaware. When intervention is offered, the one who is offering must be willing to endure the reactions, deflections, defenses, and denials that might come from the confrontation of the reality of one's harmful impact on the self or others.

This must be considered carefully, if intervention is deemed necessary.

If one is not to the extreme of necessity for intervention, then one's most effective means of inviting another to consider his or her Chief Feature is to simply ask if that person knows that his or her behavior has a particularly harmful or divisive effect.

In that invitation through asking, you will likely see if there is any room for meaningful discussion, or if there will only be more of the same.

[Tyrone] Mine can just be a yes or no type answer, I'm just suspicious:

[Tyrone] Were each of these 7 angles you gave related to the Centering Parts? Or I guess more generally, related to the axes and cardinality/ordinality?

[Tyrone] (I am currently thinking in the order you gave them: 1. Instinctive, 2. Intellect, 3. Emotion, 4. Moving, 5. Higher Int., 6. Higher Emot., 7. Higher Moving)

MEntity: Correlations could certainly be made, though further elaboration may be necessary to point out how these resonate.

[Tyrone] I guess just were you guys thinking along those lines when coming up with them

      MEntity:
Everything we ever offer can be mapped in correlative terms. Today's information is not an exception. However, we are not certain as to the order that Troy "unpacked" the delivery, so we would not consider these static correlations as far as the sequence.

We think they are close, though, if not already in the sequence you describe.

[Kurtis] Hi Michael, I hope this fits in relatively good context with this discussion, but I've been noticing a difficulty in understanding Caution's -Phobia in comparison to the CFs. Could you elaborate or clarify the difference between these CFs and -Phobia?

      MEntity:
All Negative Poles of any Overleaf will be hooked into Chief Features, so Phobia, for example, would hook into that person's Chief Feature. The same would be said for Ingratiation or Identification, as Negative Poles for Acceptance or Passion, respectively.

In other words, the Negative Poles of an Overleaf are what activate Chief Features, not the other way around.

Caution is a means of relating, or reaching the Goal, by refining one's thoughts and expression, so Deliberation is when one is able to carefully select a thought or expression as that means of relating or reaching the goal. Phobia comes in when the person begins to overanalyze, overthink, and can no longer refine his or her interpretations or expressions.

This person becomes frightened of his own thinking.

This, then, would trigger whatever Chief Feature has come to be habitual as a means to protect the self.

But this inability to refine one's thoughts would come first.

To clarify: this person's over-thinking starts to scare him, triggering his Chief Features.

      Do you see the difference?

      [Kurtis] Yes I definitely do

[Kurtis] I've been meaning to ask this kind of question for a while now

MEntity: We will conclude here for today, and continue this discussion into the other Chief Features. We know we have many students who are in Arrogance and Self-deprecation, so a good number of you can begin to consider how you can transform these, if you choose to do so.

      From a different channeling session:
      Impatience
[CocteauBoy] 1. TAKE TIME OFF - separate yourself from the steady stream of influence time has over you, and move yourself into a position that is intended to be free, such as going for a nice walk, a night off to the movies, a meeting with a friend for conversation, etc. Anything that you would normally NOT do because you "do not have enough time," TO DO.

[CocteauBoy] 2. QUIET YOUR MIND - Impatience can scramble your thinking process to such an extent that you are no longer effective, so it would do you well to SLOW DOWN your mind, your thinking, and find your quiet, internal space. This could be done in the shower, or in a bath, or any other moment you think of it. Simply relax your face, your jaw, feel the weight of your tongue in your mouth, the presence of your chest, and for a full handful of minutes from 3 to 30, JUST BE. This practice of BEING will allow you to come back to your moment with far more effectiveness.

[CocteauBoy] 3. EMBRACE ONE THING - Impatience can often leave one feeling as if she must be on top of everything that is on the agenda, thus everything clamors for the attention of the priority spot. Instead of thinking of one thing causing the delay of another, it would do you well to think of your focus on one thing as an EMBRACE of that thing, much like your hugging of a child or puppy, knowing that you will happily and quickly hug the next child or puppy, as soon as you are done hugging one. This will help you to keep out intrusive thinking and distracted emotions.

[CocteauBoy] 4. USE YOUR BODY - Impatience can often leave one feeling the burden of Time on the body, which can leave one ignoring the effectiveness of the body, leading to clumsiness and erratic behaviors or reactions. One of the greatest ways to use your body is to LISTEN. Most fragments who suffer from Impatience tend to presume the intent, meaning, and words of others who are communicating.

[CocteauBoy] There is rarely any patience for the act of LISTENING. Some who suffer from Impatience do not even realize how little they listen because they simply go deaf to the outside world, so to speak, but have learned to speak for everyone around them so effectively they think their own words are those of others'. Taking a moment to ask if you are LISTENING can help you to come back to the moment and actually make more effective decisions and responses in the moment.

[CocteauBoy] 5. CREATE PATTERNS - Impatience usually drives an individual into patterns that are comforting, rather than productive. When one is in impatience, and creating only comfort patterns, there still must be a sense of proof for the use of Time, so this leads to lying to oneself, lying to others, so that the time appears to have been met with enough challenge to validate ones existence, or one will escape into routines that are simply "going nowhere." Patterns are perfectly valid, but when one is Impatient, these patterns can move into entropy, so one must bring an awareness to the process of one's patterns and ask if they are being CREATED, or if they are merely being fulfilled. Make a simple change as a means to create or alter a pattern and the results can often be rather amazing.

[CocteauBoy] 6. PRESENCE - Though we have mentioned this already, it is worth pointing out as its own concern, to be PRESENT. Those afflicted with Impatience are often NOT where they are in time. They are often somewhere else, such as an elusive future, or a sentimental past. It would do you well to practice being present when you are doing something. To do so would mean to be fully aware that your actions are being driven by your choice, and that your skin, your hands, your face, your body, Personality, are all on board for the moment, even if you would rather be doing something else. The more you escape the moment, the less you can bring change to your momentum.

[CocteauBoy] 7. LAUGH AT TIME - by this we mean to point out that Time has very little to do with your life beyond your experience and interpretation of it. If you can find the humor and heart in your relationship to Time, you can find it as an ally, instead of as an oppressive dictator. Laughing at Time can mean finding fun things to do, playful things to do, meaningless and pointless things to do, as long as you enjoy them and they help you to lose your focus on time. In doing so, you can begin to help your Personality and Body to see just how little REALITY there is time beyond your use of the moment, and your interpretation of that.

[Excerpt from Michael Speaks: July 2009]

[QUESTION] what is Michael's definition of real purpose / real task / real mission - is this something that is contractual between our essence/and, our fragment and, essence will come in to communicate it to us... it seems that this "real work" occurs for fragments between the 4th I.M. and, 5th I.M., does it have 7 levels of operation ??? and, if so, what are they ??? maybe some people do it before the 4th-and, starting of the 5th - and, do it throughout their lives

      [Michael Entity]
We would think our phrase of "Life Task" may be of relevance here, and we would define that as "the original motivation for the physical form and for the dynamics of the Personality." There are no contracts in this case, but there are intentions and agreements that are helped along by Essence until the Personality is no longer interested. The Life Task is what Essence intended to experience in the lifetime through this particular Personality.

What Essence intends NEVER overrides what Personality decides. Essence has no urgency for these intentions because it is fully aware of the fact that it can create another lifetime and body for trying again. In addition to the option for creating new lifetimes for the intent of a task, there are also parallel branches within a single lifetime where, more often than not, at least one version of "you" does co-create the life with Essence and fulfill the task.

We will include those in the final transcript.

[See The 7 Stages of the 4th Internal Monad.]

[QUESTION] How is life task related to self karma. Are they the same?

[Michael Entity] The Life Task is related to Self-Karma only insofar as Self-Karma is an obstacle to the fulfillment of the Life Task. They are not interlocked, but some fragments can find the distractions of Self-Karma to block or deflect any sense of fulfillment of the Task. Many are capable of managing both the Life Task and the work of Self-Karma, especially if the Life Task is in an unrelated life context from the Self-Karma.

[QUESTION] Is there only one life task, or is there typically a bundle of tasks to be completed?

[Michael Entity] Some choose to have an arcing Life Task with several tasks to build upon, but the concept of the Life Task is a singular context as a whole. It would help to think of the Life Task as a QUALITY sought to be experienced, much like the Goal is. In fact, the Life Task is simply a more focused detail of the Goal.

      Centers and Body Types

Note from Janet: Although the intent for the topic was Centers and Body Types, no discussion of Body Types occurred.

      [Michael_Entity]
We are here. Hello to all of you.

We will begin with the Energy Report as we see it for the weeks of December 9 through the 22nd.

It is, of course, not a coincidence that many of you have begun discussing the properties and personal experiences of the Centers, as many of you are shifting into next year’s basic Centering at this time. Though a year’s “Overleaves” are not defined entirely and are not static at any given time, there is an overall set that does appear to have influence over varying levels of consciousness, at least symbolically. In the case of Older Souls, that set of influences can begin to take place in the few months before the new year.

We will also note an unusual phenomenon that is occurring for all of you: currently, in such a short time span between them, another larger Nexus Shift occurs. It is not uncommon for great shifts to occur throughout a year, but another shift is beginning on the 10th, and another in January/February, while this is all following the large shift in November. These shifts with little “breaks” between them are creating a great amount of shifting in levels of Energy among your Overleaves and your ability to participate in the world. There appear to be distinct days when your energy seems quite inspired and above normal, while the next few will find you seeming to be locked in an infinite stream of constricting thoughts and low energy. For some this will feel like “limbo,” while for others this can feel “manic.”

The Center for the next year, at this time, appears to be Moving, with bursts of Higher Moving. Unless you are Moving Centered, yourself, this is going to begin to feel like a time of shifting into OBVIOUS manifestations of what you are DOING.

(We remind you that our Energy Reports are not predictions, they are merely comments on patterns and how you might be able to use them or dismiss them.)

Having a field of Moving Centered Energy as the context for a period of time can mean a great deal of attention would be coming to the body and its relationship to its environment. We are speaking of its Physical environment, which can translate into a range from its sources of stimulation, affection, and activity, to its ability to use the finer energies that make up and create the Physical Plane.

Some of you may begin to pull out your old copies of teachings which focus on the concepts of “creating your own reality” and take a more active approach to reality than usual. While others may begin to feel overwhelmed by the “responsibility” that the Moving Centers imply while Physical.

Besides the fact of what you call “the holidays,” a stronger and stronger desire to be with those whom you care for and feel part of will begin to be a priority.

If these basic trends continues and the next year continues with the Moving Centered theme, we will be able to comment more accurately on how it might manifest. For now, a primary theme appears to be those points we just mentioned, along with a heightened awareness of your food intake and ability to literally move (health).

We will conclude the report here and take any questions about it before we discuss the Centers.

[Kathryn] Many of us, myself included, have been feeling very drained and tired or just down lately. Is this the reaction to this energy report influence?

      [Michael_Entity]
We don't believe the Energy Report itself has any influence as such, but the Energy, itself, we are reporting about may very well be what you are responding/reacting to.

For those who have any kind of health deficiencies, however minute, the Moving Center will markedly “force” the body into a position that is more inclined to facilitate recovery. This can be sleep, mental distraction, high activity, anger, etc., but it’s point is to facilitate recovery.

Another important factor to consider is the inherent nature of any Nexus having a sedating effect on the Human body as realities shift and creativity on another level is affecting the body. You do “create reality,” and that still uses energy. Most of the time, that energy is being held preciously by the Personality for reasons it doesn't even understand. The sedation and “tired phase” allows the “grip” to loosen and your reality can then free up some energy for changes to be made.

Most of you have your Personalities quite in charge of your lives, even if it doesn't quite “know” what to do. When a shift is needed and the Personality is choosing to work with Essence, the Personality will gladly concede and “take a nap.” At some point, in some lifetime, a shift will happen wherein the Personality and Essence are aligned enough that control is not shifted from one to the other, but is shared.

If there are no other questions on the Energy Report, we will discuss CENTERING. We feel there is no need to introduce the Centering to you, as many of you are already fairly studied in this area of our teaching. We will, however, respond to all of your questions about this area so as to clarify and help with the application of the information.

[MaryBV] How does centering affect memory?

      [Michael_Entity]
ALL Centers have their form of Memory in storage and retrieval.

The Intellect stores and retrieves memory in the form of Thoughts, Ideas, and is Visually interpreted.

The Emotional memories are stored and retrieved in the form what are commonly understood as Feelings, Emotions, and are Aurally interpreted.

The Moving stores and retrieves its memories in the forms of Health, Activity, and are Sensually interpreted.

Each Center does affect how events are remembered; especially in the mixture of the Centering with the Part.

The Intellect affects the memory with its level of beliefs and justifications; the Emotions affect memory with its sentimentality and attachments; the Moving affects the memory through its levels of vitality and productivity at the time.

For each of these examples above, they are only part of how each Center may affect memory, and those factors always stem from the PRESENT (retrieval), not how or what was stored.

Each Center is involved in Memory, of course, but the habitual Centering will affect how a fragment's memory is used habitually.

Each Ordinal Center is referencing memory of the current lifetime and physicality. If more information outside of that realm is required or resonating, it is then drawn through the Higher of that Center. The Instinctive Center is the communication medium between the Cardinal and Ordinal.

Since the Instinct/Assimilation is usually maintaining the task of protection of the body, most memory filtered there is decidedly fearful or not. This is why most long-standing memories are either decidedly joyful or painful.

We can continue to extrapolate on this topic, but we will ask if we are answering your question appropriate to your intent.

[MaryBV] Well, I should have asked also how the role plays into this, but that is probably a topic for a whole discussion.

[Michael_Entity] The Roles play little part in how memory is used or affected, since each lifetime sets a new design for the body and the Body/Personality is the tool for memory. The Essence's choice of Overleaves is the most direct impact. Since Time is not a factor for Essence, it does not have the need for “memory” as it is experienced on the Physical Plane.

[MaryBV] I see, so what accounts for smell/taste, etc., in memory?

[Michael_Entity] Every Cell and Atom in your body has the ability to “remember,” which means it has the ability to re-create. When the Personality or Body calls on a memory to be reconstructed, it will call on these minute parts of self to participate. It is of no mystery that you can recall a scene in a movie, which is Visual, but it is no more a mystery for the other senses to have that ability to reconstruct, as well.

[WickedBear] Could you discuss the fundamental differences between the two action centers?

      [Michael_Entity]
The most fundamental difference is in that the Ordinal pertains to the immediate environment of the Personality and Body, while the Cardinal pertains to all that encompasses that. The Moving Center, then, would govern and process the events of the actual, Physical Body and its health, activity, manipulation of environment, etc. The Higher Moving Center would then govern and process those similar things, but as they pertain to larger patterns that include everything pertaining to the Essence.

It could be said that the Moving Center is the manifestation/expression of that particular Personality's part in the Higher Moving tapestry of the Essence.

[Elf] Is the Part of Center chosen about the same time as the Centering? And what is most influential in that choice?

      [Michael_Entity]
Centering is chosen by the age of 3 in most cases, while the Part/Trap is a habit by the age of 7 (approximately).

The most influential aspect of that choice is in the major theme then settled on for the lifetime as to how to process events. The Center/Part becomes the Body's primary strength and challenge, and sets the stage for relationships, health, and beliefs for the majority of the life. Depending on your Centering and Part, you will find that your PART/TRAP becomes the defining obstacle to hurdle in coming to peace with a lifetime.

If the balance can be called upon for any Center, regardless of habit, then a great freedom is experienced within the lifetime. The first examination of this is in the 4th Internal Monad when the Part is either simply a Part, or continues to be the Trap. Most will find as the life progresses that the Part becomes the Trap, the more they ignore the need for that third Center to be incorporated. As part of the process for finding that balance, the neglected Center will eventually require attention.

For those lacking in the Moving Center, then health, prosperity, material security, physical need for affection and validation can become stages for its balance.

For those lacking in the Intellectual Center, then over-questioning, overwhelm, isolation, indecisiveness, and unacknowledged dependence on others for direction are examples of where the imbalance can show up.

For those lacking in the Emotional Center, then alienation, hypercriticism, unacknowledged issues of rejection, can tend to be some of the arenas for balance.

[Elf] Thank you. So the Part/Trap of Center is then somewhat a part of the Life Task?

      [Michael_Entity]
Yes, the Centering/Part are intrinsically linked to the Tasks of the Life. Centering habits tend to define how the Personality uses its 4 “pillars,” of which the Life Task (True Work), is one of those pillars. Your True Rest is directly linked to the use of your neglected Center. Your True Work is directly relating to the Goal.

The Centering/Part is not inherently a challenge to your Life Task, but it is a powerful definition of the path.

And with that, we will conclude. Good Night.

This topic came up in our recent chat on July 13, 2009, and Michael mentioned that I would include a copy of some information about the 4th Internal Monad. This was channeled YEARS ago, so please be lenient with it. I think I need to go through an update some phrasing and grammar to match my own growth and clarity in channeling, but the gist is there. Enjoy!

      4th Internal Monad
      +self-realization -acquiescence

      MICHAEL:
The Fourth Internal Monad is the personal measurement between what was “planned” for the lifetime and what has actually been accomplished to date, and what might now be accomplished based on momentum from the current position within the life. This is where the Personality and Essence become “permanently” aligned or not.

The Essence is either allowed freedom of manifestation or it is rejected as a source.

To make simple sense of this Monad, it is the “regaining of innocence”.

This is where you integrate the childish aspects of you into the adult version of your life as you have become. If major changes are to be a part of the transition to a “smoother” life, these changes can be drastic and threatening to the Personality as judgment may spring forth that its own decisions from the past were “mistakes”. In reality, the decisions were not mistakes; they were simply experiences.

These experiences, however harshly judged, have led you to a place of potential self-realization. It is your choice to co-create the changes (the positive passage through the Monad), or to resign yourself to being overwhelmed (negative passage).

If this Monad can be seen as an opportunity to free the “child within”, then much is gained in your understanding of how to remain in the positive aspects of the passage. The hallmark of positive passage through this Monad is in freeing yourself from what you think you SHOULD do and, instead, discovering what you love to do, in terms of external reality fulfillment.

We remind you that you WILL move through the entire spectrum of the Monad, Positive Poles and Negative Poles, as you progress. It is as necessary as breathing "in" and "out". Reminding yourself that the point of the negative pole is a means to “look at” what you might want to change, upgrade, or accept, will do much in freeing you from severe reactions and Chief Feature "tricks".

Those of you who have not completed the 3rd Internal Monad successfully (from the Positive Poles), you may find yourselves having to “go back” to the struggle of learning psychological independence before you can move on. The 3rd Internal Monad deals with the fragment comprehending their independence from the source that supported them through the first part of their life. It is not whether a fragment still depends on their source or not, it is simply whether they recognize they are not defined by that source.

A person who would not pass completely through a stage within a Monad will live within that frame of reference for the remainder of the lifetime. Incompleteness, or Negative Pole completion through Monad 4 would find the person living in relentless self-examination and criticism of their choices, possibly reverting to the past as a source of blame for their behavior. This fragment will always feel unfulfilled.

We remind you that this information is shared as a map, not as another form of fear to be used against the self. If you are driving through a passage up a mountain-side and we would note that to certain routes would give your more challenge or diversion from the destination, this would not take from the absolute choices that you have. It is always possible to complete a Monad in the Positive Poles from any point within the life. You are never trapped beyond your willingness to progress.

Here, then, are the seven stages of this Monad:

      Stage 1: INITIATION
      +enthusiasm -indifference

Stage 1: This stage is hardly noticeable since you have only just placed your consciousness into the new context.

Stage 2: This stage is heavily marked by dread, anxiety, and intense Introspection.

On the more expansive side, one knows what must begin to be done, and starts to anticipate a general plan, not always with clarity, but with a certainty that “something must be done”. On the more constricting side, one begins to pull back from the future and “hide within”, or away from external reflections.

In the positive pole you will see personal happiness now becoming a factor in your decisions, and in this Fourth Monad, you've released treasured securities found in the oppressive/elusive “big plan or PURPOSE”, and find this more appropriate guide. Otherwise, the negative pole finds an individual always at odds with their environment, always in a state of contention and debate about their worth/purpose.

This stage evaluates your perceptions of Love. The Higher Emotional Center is highlighted here.

      Stage 6: MAGNETIZATION
      +attraction -repulsion

In this Stage, you now begin to draw in your agreements, Karma, and Support for new perspectives, or reconnect/stabilize existing ones. The positive pole maintains clear communication, acknowledgment of Traveling Companions, and a more accurate view of the future. You now see with clarity the long-term impact of your efforts alongside the current “demands”. Those who find themselves in a state of rejection, isolation, and depression, have chosen to experience the negative pole. A sense of deep longing begins to unfold in the negative pole of Stage 6, since so much has been deemed “unacceptable”.
