  • Overleaf Development

    Eric

[Excerpt from a private session on February 6, 2013]

    MEntity:
Overleaves are like petals of a flower, if you will; they are present from the beginning, but unfold over time, or get "activated." This is a process of awakening and differentiation that begins from the 2nd Internal Monad, and helps shed the initial projections and reflections of the caretaker's overleaves. Those who do not move beyond the 2nd Internal Monad tend to be hung up as reflections and projections of their caretakers, then.

We can share the Life Task, but the True Play, Rest, and Study are calculated upon development of the Personality as to what would benefit and support the Work.

OMW - Sep 16, 2012 - The Circuitry of Overleaves

      Channel: Troy Tolley

(Note: The following Chart was referred to - the Overleaf Map.)

      [MEntity]
Hello to each of you. We are here, now. We can begin discussion on the topic of choice.

Though the Overleaves function as a whole, they do function in a similar way to how one might understand how the body works.

The body works as a whole, but, depending upon circumstances, various parts are of emphasis, serving the whole.

Understanding your body as a network of circuitry, all entwined in a way that is inseparable, but distinct in parts, is much the same way that your Overleaves can be understood.

What we will discuss, first, is the broader types of circuitry, and then move more into your variations.

We are using the term "circuitry" here for this workshop, but we do not mean to imply it as a permanent term within our teaching. It is simply a way to visualize this topic.

We have shared a bit about contextual circuitry in previous exchanges with our students, and we will review those, first.

The Personality always leads with one Overleaf, however swiftly the circuitry is ignited to cascade throughout the rest of the Overleaves. In various circumstances and contexts, various Overleaves will lead.

Those with higher Frequencies may find their circuitry "faster" than those with lower Frequencies.

      CONTEXTUAL CIRCUITRY

The Contextual Circuitries are: PROJECT, SOCIAL, INTIMACY, and MEDITATION.

These are fairly straightforward in correlation:

When one is working on a project, the Personality will tend to lead with the GOAL. When one is in a social setting, one tends to lead with the ATTITUDE. When one is seeking or nurturing Intimacy, one tends to lead with the MODE. When one is in any state of meditation, one tends to lead with the Centering.

This is fairly easy to validate, as well.

Consider these contexts in the workplace, for instance.

When a project is the priority, one will tend to find one's Goal is challenged and/or fulfilled. When one is socializing, one may find that one's perceptions, philosophy, Attitude are challenged or highlighted. When one finds any eventual bonding, it is usually secured by the Mode.

When pondering any of this, the Centering is activated.

It will not matter what the project is, if your Goal is Acceptance, you may find that your capacity for Acceptance is challenged and/or fulfilled.

It will not matter the social situation, you may find your Spiritualism challenged, revealed, and/or highlighted.

      And so on.

      Those are the Contextual Circuits.

We will get to how the Body Type, Role, Casting, and Chief features get involved.

Before we move on, do each of you find a sense of validation for these contexts? Do you have any questions?

[Bobby] Yes, and not yet for me

      [ClaireC] Ditto

[Maureen] yes -- I have a sense of validation for these contexts

      [MariLynn] moreorless...

[GeraldineB] So, far those make pretty good sense -- especially Mode -- my relationships do tend to be more in observation mode, wait and see, few strong emotions (often in surveillance)

[Janet] Yes, but I have trouble imagining how my Power mode works (or doesn't work) for Intimacy

[MEntity] Janet, keep in mind that Power Mode is about Being Present. It is an Expressive Overleaf, not an action, so it will be about making your presence known in some way.

[Janet] I keep forgetting that. Thanks.

[MEntity] It is about owning your presence, being comfortable in your skin, "being yourself."

[Janet] The names of the overleaves sometimes give first impressions that aren't necessarily accurate

[MEntity] In other words, how you might evolve intimacy is in how much of "you" can be present, be permitted, allowed, without shame, silencing, etc.

[Maureen] Observation for me -- when I am intimate means yes -- I can truly "see" you.

[AnnH] So I would expect others to "see" me?

[MEntity] Ann, was that a question about Observation?

      [MariLynn] thank you. well clarified.

      [AnnH] Yes

      [MEntity]
Then, yes. For Observation to foster intimacy, each is expected to be willing to "see," to truly see one another.

As an aside, for another discussion, for intimacy to be fulfilling, it is key that one understand the Mode, as this gives insight into how you relate, and what you may expect of one who is growing closer to you.

[MariLynn] I have a similar question-hard to see how aggression mode bodes well for intimacy!

      [MEntity]
For you, MariLynn, Aggression is an exalted action Overleaf. Aggression evolves intimacy by way of constant change, movement, activity, progress. One must be able to "keep up."

Intimacy is nearly impossible with someone who might wish to slow you down, tame you, or fault you for constant change of focus and directions.

The Mode also describes what is expected of others, as well, as a means of relating.

[MariLynn] yes! and it's been hard to find a partner who can, or wants to

      [MariLynn] omg, yes!! concur!!

      [MEntity]
MariLynn, that is okay, or, at least, can be "okay." It is a "King" Overleaf, and is not intended to foster superficial intimacy and relationships.

In addition to this for Observation, Sages inherently NEED to be seen, so Observation compounds the necessity for it.

[MariLynn] is this also true to a large extent if someone is sage casted?

[Diane_HB] I often notice myself using Observation in social situations, not necessarily Pragmatism.

[MEntity] Diane, keep in mind that Observation Mode is not literal observation. You may find yourself observing others, but this is Pragmatic for you.

      [Diane_HB] I see

      [MEntity]
Keep in mind that Pragmatism is a philosophy, a filter on reality.

In a social situation, that will either manifest as being Practical, in your actual expression of self, in your exchanges, and in your evaluation of the worth of those exchanges, or as Dogma, stuck in routines that you have learned as a way to filter people out.

[Janet] Clearly we need that future discussion about modes and intimacy.

[Janet] And maybe one about social situations and attitudes.

      [MEntity]
Dogma may show up as an inflexibility in what you find worth talking about, if you talk at all. Many with Pragmatism will be those who walk into a social situation, and then quietly, eventually, exit and wonder why the attempt was even made.

      Continuing.

[Diane_HB] Thank you, that makes sense

[MEntity] If there is a leading overleaf, then there would be a second, third, etc. in the circuit.

[Bobby] Is this leading overleaf indicative of which one developed first in the life?

[MEntity] Bobby, no. Centering is always developed first, in that case. It becomes the Meditative context of the life, then.

[Bobby] I think what I may be referring to is for example, K's daughter, you've stated that a certain overleaf was turned on first...

[MEntity] That would be one's core overleaf, and we will discuss that, next.

      [Bobby] lol... ok 🙂

[Diane_HB] I thought the centering wasn't fixed until the 2nd IM, or are those different things?

      [MEntity]
That would be correct, Diane, except that Centering is habitual, not fixed. The Overleaves are always present, even from birth, but until a fragment is approximately 7 years old, the Personality tends to be reflective of the caretakers, not the actual overleaves.

However, Centering tends to be activated upon mobility, and habitual at the close of the 2nd Internal Monad.

      [Diane_HB] I see

      [MEntity]
The sequence of the Contextual Circuit would tend to be dependent upon the expectations or intentions that are fueling or distracting the leading Overleaf.

For instance, to fulfill a Project, the Goal will lead, but if that Project is one that is for the sake of Relating, then the Mode might be secondary; or if it requires a lot of discussion and sharing, the Attitude may be secondary. If it is done alone, it may be from the Meditative Centering.

This secondary part of the circuit is vital for how the leading part is sustained in a Positive or Negative Pole.

For example, if you are obligated to a Project, the Goal will still lead, and if you are not "into it," you may distract yourself with your Attitude, or more Social contexts.

If you are evolving Intimacy, but your Projects are, ultimately, what you feel defines you, then you may be leading with your Mode in that relationship, but your Goal will draw you away from the intimacy.

Circuitry is always shorted out by dishonesty.

By "dishonesty" we mean it in a fairly clear way: that one is denying a truth by cloaking it.

For example, if you are obligated to a Project, it may be true that you are not "into it," but distract yourself with social contexts as a way to avoid that truth. Honesty would either not do the project, or it would call upon the social context as support, not distraction.

When a "circuit" is weakened, so to speak, the Chief Features come into play.

Can each of you think of examples for yourself? Do you understand this path of circuitry?

      [Bobby] and others even 🙂

[GeraldineB] I can remember instances, but I got a lot better quite a few years ago about not committing to something I had no intention of doing

[AnnH] I think this happens constantly for me.

[AnnH] Since just about everything is "supposed" to be a social context for me.

[MariLynn] omg.....I DEFINITELY am in this right now. my 'project' is my obligation to be my father's FT caregiver

[MariLynn] and, I am NOT into it.

[Janet] Yes I see this. Work projects are often forced by circumstances rather than personal desires. But I can see this effect in past relationships as well.

[Maureen] I would rather burn myself out -- rather than not complete something I`ve committed to -- which is another problem!

[MariLynn] and, I can see this whole pattern as you've described....incl. the CF's have come up....esp. today

[Diane_HB] I used to do this A LOT but have gotten better at being aware of it now.

      [MariLynn] ditto Maureen!

[AnnH] From reading this, I realize in my 20s my goal was career and not so much social.

[Maureen] ...which inherently shows a dishonesty with myself -- not good!

      [MariLynn] another ditto

[MEntity] We are not speaking only to projects, but to relationships, social contexts, with secondary distractions or fuel, etc. We ask if you can see how this circuitry is at work in various contexts?

[GeraldineB] I've learned to take the flack for saying "no"

[Janet] Definitely can see it in all contexts.

[MEntity] Even in your Meditative contexts. Can you not find your "center" because you are distracted with projects, relationships, etc?

[ClaireC] Yes, Michael, and particularly how the CF's come in.

      [Janet] Yup.
      [Bobby] yes
      [MariLynn] yes
      [AnnH] yes
      [GeraldineB] yes

[MEntity] The easiest way to determine if your circuitry, regardless of context, is weakened, is the question of whether you are DISTRACTED or ENTHUSIASTIC.

[Janet] Oh! Good one! I see that right off.

[MEntity] Enthusiastic here is not meant as prancing in pom poms and a perma-grin, but simply a "looking forward."

[Maureen] yes! (sorry ...I couldn't find my centering!)

      [Maureen] 🙂

[GeraldineB] and for Distracted, I would say caught up in the "should" or "ought to" mode of thinking

      [Maureen] (...that was a joke!)

      [MEntity] Maureen, we know.

      [Maureen] LOL

      [GeraldineB] LOL

      [AnnH] Yes, G. Very much.

[MEntity] Geraldine, that is fair, but the "should" or "ought to" would not be the distraction; it would be what the distraction tried to avoid or ignore.

      [AnnH] Ah!

[GeraldineB] which is . . .I don't want to do this and will PROCRASTINATE to NOT do it

[AnnH] I often feel a lot of "I don't want to."

      [AnnH] Heh, psych

[MEntity] There are plenty of "shoulds" and "ought to's" that are important and valid responsibilities, but distractions can make them difficult to fulfill.

[Janet] I think of my life in terms of whether I'm bored or not bored. I see correlation to distracted or enthusiastic.

      [MEntity]
That would be fair, Janet, as boredom is a lack of presence and connection to Essence. If Essence is put at a distance, boredom tends to be a result. Often, when one is not enthusiastic, one shuts down the resonance to Essence.

We think that each of you see this clearly enough to benefit from the use of it in your choices and contexts, if you choose to apply this insight.

We will add here that if one is looking at the Meditative Circuit, it is beneficial to understand that this is the first of the Overleaves to be activated and sustained, even if it is changeable and habitual. Centering will always go back to a more precognitive state of being, and therefore, is a context of innocence.

In other words, when one seeks to find his "centering," or to meditate on his life, it is a return to innocence.

Techniques and methods are helpful for the meditative state and circuitry, but this circuit is the context in every instance when you are alone.

This is why aloneness is vital for the health of any Essence or Personality.

Though aloneness is given a bad name in modern, highly-populated and dense societies, it is vital.

Every time you are alone, you are leading with Centering, and that is supported or undermined by your distractions or enthusiasms.

[AnnH] I am sorry to make this all about me, but I find that emotional centering makes it difficult to get things done when I don't "feel" like it.

      [MariLynn] I agree Ann

[Diane_HB] I'm intellectually centered and I still can't get things done when I don't feel like it

      [MEntity]
So to help heal or strengthen the circuitry of your Meditative context, your return to innocence, it can be as simple as fostering enthusiasm as the secondary circuit.

This is a simple circuitry to address:

For those who are Emotionally-Centered, there tends to be a necessity to foster or allow enthusiasm for Relationships, or The Mode, as the secondary circuit. For those who are Intellectually-Centered, there tends to be a necessity to foster or allow for Social and philosophical interactions, or the Attitude. For those who are Moving-Centered, there would tend to be a necessity for fostering enthusiasm, or allowing, for Projects to be fulfilled.

In other words, the Emotionally-Centered can look at her Mode for how to relate to the self when alone. The Emotionally-Centered must be able to relate to herself as a means to be centered.

[Maureen] What do you mean by: ``The Emotionally-Centered must be able to relate to herself as a means to be centered.`

[MEntity] The Intellectually-Centered can look to her Attitude for how to interpret her life, how to interpret her place in society, as a means to return to her innocence and centered state.

[Maureen] in general or something specific?

[MEntity] Maureen, those who are emotionally-centered, when the Meditative circuit is weakened, can tend to wait or want for external inspiration to bring them back into a strengthened circuit of meditation and centeredness.

      [Maureen] I see

      [MEntity]
They must find themselves to be inspiring again, to relate to themselves again.

That is all that "relating" means: being inspired.

[Maureen] ..and can look for distractions through other people?

      [MEntity]
Maureen, yes, the Emotionally-Centered can often think that if the right relationship would come along, all would be well with the self. They are most prone to co-dependence.

They can be distracted with relationships, which take them away from themselves, their centeredness, their innocence.

When the Meditative circuit is weakened, it can greatly affect how the life is digested, how you see and experience yourself, and how divided or fractured you are within.

Do each of you find resonance with this insight into these circuits, so far?

      [Bobby] yes

      [AnnH] Yes, sort of.

      [ClaireC] Very much so.

[GeraldineB] yes -- it just doesn't "stick" with me -- it makes sense for the moment

      [Diane_HB] yes

      [Maureen] yes

[AnnH] There's an intellectual resonance, but I can't really get a hold of it.

      [MariLynn] yes

      [MEntity]
To help it "stick" with you, we suggest carrying with you the simple navigation between Distraction and Enthusiasm. The rest can be put into place after that.

We have described contextual circuitry, which changes in any given situation, but there is also a Core Circuitry.

      CORE CIRCUITRY

This is how your Overleaves network when not being led by a context.

Though not an exact accuracy in all cases, it is easiest to assess your Core Overleaf by looking at how your various Essence and Overleaf patterns fall in the system.

Looking at the "map" that Troy has shared with you, note where your known Overleaves fall.

Include your Essence, Casting, Soul Age, and Level in your count.

[MariLynn] do you mean what axis is most dominant?

      [MEntity]
Your final assessment would be the count of how many fall into Inspiration, Expression, Action, or Assimilation.

      MariLynn, yes.

[MariLynn] ok. that's what I thought

[MEntity] Through a Sage, we can tend to be "wordier" than necessary, though we try to be succinct.

      [Bobby] lol

      [Maureen] LOL

[Maureen] actually Michael -- that was pretty succinct!

      [MEntity]
Do not include your Chief Negative Features.

      And only your Primary Centering.

      [GeraldineB] Michael was peeking again

      [Diane_HB] how about body types?

      [MEntity] Only the Primary

[MariLynn] I didn't get the map but I have another chart....however what does old soul tend to fall into, ie. what axis?

      [MEntity]
      That would be Expression, MariLynn.

Share your dominant Axis when you are ready. If you find that there is a tie among them, we will address that, too.

      [Maureen] I am 2-2-2-2- Michael

      [AnnH] Assimilation

[Janet] Heavy on Expression axis; hardly any in the others (2-6-1-0)

      [Bobby] Action, followed by Inspiration

[MEntity] We are unclear as to the numerical references, so we suggest either clarifying, or simply sharing the dominant, or tied, Axis or Axes.

[Maureen] I am even across the board Michael

[Diane_HB] I have 3 in Assimilation and 2 in all other axes

[MariLynn] I am super dominant expression (5) 3 ins., 3 action and NO assimilation....no wonder I'm on disability!!

      [GeraldineB] I have big numbers 5s & 6s

[MEntity] There should be 9 elements considered in your assessment: Role, Casting, Soul Age, Level, Goal, Mode, Attitude, Centering, Body Type.

[Janet] Six of nine on Expression axis for me

[AnnH] I have only 1 action

[GeraldineB] I don't see anything for Level

[MariLynn] with my body types, I am not sure which one is dominant. I feel almost equal in mars/merc.

[GeraldineB] I have three and when Michael gives BTs, they're never in any particular order (or so I've seen them say)

      [MariLynn] yes

[MEntity] For those with dominant Action, then the Goal is the Core Overleaf, and the Project Circuitry would tend to be fairly comfortable and appealing.

[ClaireC] Can someone enlighten me on how to read this chart?

[Maureen] OK -- Bingo!! I have a winner! 3 are in Action and 2, each, are in the other axis!

[GeraldineB] I have three in 5 and three in 6

      [MEntity]
For those with dominant Expression, then the Attitude is the Core Overleaf, and the Social Circuitry tends to be the most comfortable and appealing.

For those with dominant Inspiration, then the Mode is the Core Overleaf, and Intimacy tends to come easily, or is most appealing as a circuitry.

For those with dominant Assimilation, the Core Overleaf is Centering, and the Meditative Circuitry (aloneness) tends to be the most comfortable and appealing.

If your elements are evenly distributed, you may tend to go with the default HUB of the Personality (which is different from the Core), and that is the Attitude.

The HUB of the Personality is similar to the Brain being the hub of the body, but not necessarily the main emphasis of development for an individual.

Understanding your Core Overleaf can help you to understand where most of your emphasis is on development.

It helps you to understand the state of your moods, your health, and your energy levels.

If your Core Overleaf is not fed enough, so to speak, the Personality starves, it begins to deteriorate in circuitry, which reflects in energy levels, health, and mood.

So consider this, in light of your Core: if your core is Social, and your life is mostly aimed at Projects, you may find it impacts you in ways that are challenging. If your core is Intimacy, Relating, and your life is focused on Social or Philosophical circuits, you may find yourself challenged in mood, energy, health. And so on.

[ClaireC] Michael, with 3 Inspiration and 3 Expression, which would be the Dominant Core?

[GeraldineB] Ditto Claire's question -- I, too, am 3 Expression and 3 Inspiration

[MEntity] Geraldine, we have stated that if your elements are evenly distributed, you may find that you default to the Hub (the Attitude).

      [GeraldineB] OK ... I misunderstood

      [MEntity]
That would mean that it is quite important to develop and feed one's philosophies in the life.

From this discussion, each of you can now see your Contextual Circuits, understand which Overleaf leads in those, and understand your secondary circuit as being a realm of distraction or as a fulfillment of enthusiasm. We have also shared your Core Overleaf, based on the distribution of elements that make up your Essence and Overleaves, and how this must be developed and tended to for your healthy mood, body, and energy.

If one's health, mood, and energy levels may seem compromised, take a look at your Core Overleaf, and determine if you are "feeding" it well enough, tending to it, nurturing it, giving it the experiences it may naturally desire, etc.

If one can move the Core Overleaf into some kind of strength of circuitry, it can make a great difference in the body, energy, and mood.

[MariLynn] that's for sure!! I thought I *got* it....and then I think I started overthinking it

[MEntity] We will conclude here for today. This is an introductory consideration for how the Overleaves work in more useful and meaningful ways beyond their basic definitions.

[AnnH] What if we're lacking in one area?

[Bobby] the final test will be given on the Causal and it will be open book(Akashic) har har har

      [Diane_HB] lol

      [MariLynn] lol Bobby!!

      [MEntity]
Ann, where one tends to be lacking the most, one would tend to attract others who may have that area as dominant.

Or one would tend to generate experiences that keep that circuitry alive in some way.

(Note: In the editing process, I moved some lines around so they'd make better sense; also, there are a few that were duplicated -- again, to give clarity glb)

      2010 Review and 2011 OVERLEAVES

      MEntity:
A request for a review of December and of 2010 in general has been made for starting, so we will cover that, first, and then respond to questions before going into 2011.

As many of you already understand, the Overleaves that we use to describe a year do not describe energies that are being imposed upon a frame of time, but rather a description of the energies being generated collectively during that frame of time. The same could be said of your own Overleaves: your own overleaves are descriptions of genetic dynamics that have a spectrum of manifestations that are described by the Overleaves. You are not "confined" by those Overleaves any more than you are "confined" by the fact that you are Human, for instance. In other words, Overleaves for a year, or for a person, describe patterns that are generated from within the structure, but how those patterns are used, directed, rejected, exploited, etc, are still rather limitless. When it comes to our describing the energies for a time frame (a year), it is much like sharing with you the type of weather that is "outside," and how you respond to that, participate in that, ignore t, etc. is up to you. If you choose to participate in any way in your world, then these Overleaves would have some potential bearing on your awareness, and can help in many ways to bring understanding, peace, greater choices, and better navigation.

The Overleaves for 2010, in general, were described as an Emotionally-Centered SAGE Year with a Goal of Dominance, Power Mode, Spiritualist Attitude, with the Chief Features of Arrogance/Self-deprecation being explored.

As each Overleaf tends to correspond to a "season," the Chief Features tend to become amplified for exploration in the months from October through December. Chief Features are technically NOT Overleaves, but we include them under the general term for convenience.

There are several ways that we can share our perception of the Overleaves and how these play out in the world for a time frame, but for simplicity and relevance, we will try to focus, in general, for our Students and older souls. In light of that, it would be fair to say that December has "not been easy" for our students, nor the older soul, in general. The past year was one that was intended to bring great overhaul of certain patterns that each student felt was limiting and in need of altering. The retrospect of the past year has been disappointing to many. In addition to that disappointment, it appears that the year seems to have had more of a command and demand upon the individual than the individual had upon the year. Add to that the feeling that the new year is impending, there might even be a sense of chaos or electrical static in the consciousness, which may be played out in the environment as well.

We have already shared insight in previous monthly reports about the pitfalls of COMPARISONS, which are hallmarks of Arrogance and Self-deprecation, but we will remind you here that it is still a tactic that one would want to keep in check, if one chooses to see the life more clearly. Because the year was a mix of Dominance, Power, and Spiritualism, there was a great sense of possibility in the intent for taking leadership of the life through Power, or Presence.

What we have seen most of our students doing is aiming high, but landing low. For some, this will feel as if what was intended was not fully accomplished, and is therefore disappointing. However, it is fairly important to keep in mind that the very mix of this past year's energy describes a natural tendency to see all of the possibilities, which means it would be difficult NOT to aim high. In looking back at the year, we know of very few students who did not actually implement a pivotal, important, and altering pattern that was directly in line with these higher intentions. The problem for some is that it has not been revealed exactly how that pivotal pattern is tied into the higher aims, and so as the year passes into another, it feels as if the intentions may have been lost, but we doubt that they have been.

What we would suggest for each of you to do before the end of your year is to look back over your year and notice one to three pivotal events, people, relationships, choices, etc, that have come to now be a part of your life. However unrelated these pivotal things may be, they are tied directly to your original, higher aims. If you are unclear as to what your higher aims may have been, it can be easy to assess what they were/are by looking at what you wish had happened in 2010 that did not happen, or did not happen in a way you had wished. Understanding that the pivotal things that have happened in your year are tied to higher aims, may shed light in what you could be getting from those pivotal patterns that you may otherwise miss. December brings with it an opportunity to SEE YOURSELF.

Arrogance fears being seen too closely, while Self-deprecation fears not being seen clearly enough, or being misunderstood. If you have dismissed the past year as a "bad year," you have probably fallen into the pattern of Arrogance.  If you are looking forward to the next year as making up for this past year, or as a new context through which you will try again to prove yourself, you are probably exploring the Self-deprecation energies. Of course, many of you will relate to both.

Your opportunity now is to see yourself beyond your judgments and disappointment. Truly SEE YOURSELF. Let yourself be okay with what you experienced. To be okay with a gentle recalibration for the new year as a part of life, not a means to make up for failures. This also applies to others in your life. It is an opportunity to see others more clearly, to see beyond their disappointing you, failing you, and to see beyond your judgments of them. This includes those who have died.

Death can often leave those remaining extant to experience a kind of resentment, anger, and disorientation that then fuels Arrogance and Self-deprecation. It is okay that these fragments have exited, even if one does not understand why, or how, and that none of it makes sense. December's Arrogance and Self-deprecation, then, are opportunities to rise beyond all speculation, prejudices, and imposed perceptions to see to the truth, the love, and the beauty/energy of the self, the life, and others

We will open the queue now for questions that may be relevant to the past year in terms of the Overleaves and how world events may have been a reflection of them.

      *****QUEUE IS NOW OPEN************

[Bobby2] Where has Julian Assange and Wikileaks played in these overleaves?

MEntity: This could be said to have nearly epitomized the year's Overleaves in that it was all about the exploration of Sage, Dominance, Power, Spiritualist, and Arrogance. With an intense push for Dissemination, the Sage energy is present, along with the emphasis on taking control through taking the Lead against Dictatorship, regaining Power through Authority over Oppression, and removing fear through the Spiritualist's Verification, rather than Beliefs. Of course, this prompted Arrogance in the fearful reactions to the Vulnerability that this presented to those who have been representing Negative Pole positions of these Overleaves. Those who felt vulnerable then pushed for that vulnerability to be emphasized so as to bring that same fear out in others. In short, the "wikileaks" scenario is one of the planet's "pivotal events" of 2010 that will have lasting patterns that would bring about changes that most on the planet prefer in the long run. It also played out in the world stage a representation of the year's overleaves, almost characterized as one side playing the Negative Poles, and the other playing out the Positive Poles.

[ValSage_Priest] What then can the living do to ease their passing of a loved one, removing themselves from the resentment, anger, disorientation that fuels Arrogance and Self Dep? Thank You, So nice to feel/resonate with all of you again, Val

MEntity: Each fragment will have his or her own process for grieving, and we do not mean to imply that this process should not include resentment, anger, disorientation. We also know that it would be absurd to imply that it ever gets "easier." That being said, the process can be clarified (stripped of unnecessarily painful aspects) by focusing directly on the GRIEF, not the RELIEF. By this we mean that most who experience prolonged pain do so, ironically, by struggling desperately to understand WHY as a form of relief. There is a sense that if it just made sense, or could be explained, or if there were a reason, then the pain would be lifted and replaced with a peace, or at least an understanding. Grieving is the process of accepting a profound Truth. That Truth is usually that someone or something is no longer present in a way that you wish that it would have remained. Accepting that something or someone is no longer present is difficult enough without imposing the WHY of that apparent loss or division. Mourn that loss, that change, that death. Allow the Grief to come, even if in wails or brooding silence. Therein lies the path to relief. But to focus only on Relief can bypass the Grief, and prolong the pain. The understanding and the truths about the experience will come. But never before the grieving is completed.

[Jon2] I have been feeling like I am "on the cusp" of achieving the things I want for a while now, and making definite progress, but not quite getting there. I have seen a lot of friends in a similar situation, having made definite progress without reaching their goals. You said that we were "aiming high", does that mean that our goals are unreachable or invalid?

MEntity: When we said that we see our students "aiming high," we might also have said "aiming wide." What we meant was that a broad net has been cast, so to speak, and that net is going to reel in some catches that are entirely relevant to the "big catch" you may be seeking. To ignore what has been brought in so far, or to ignore the changes and achievements of the past year, out of disappointment for not landing the big catch, would be similar to throwing yourself off the boat, or "cutting of your nose to spite your face." Your "cusp" is not idealized or imagined. Most of our students who intended to make a change and do something different for their lives in 2010 are in that same stage.  Though it is your choice, we would say that to keep moving toward your intention would be Good Work.

[Jon2] That is how I feel too, but it is nice to hear someone else say it 🙂

[corinne] 2010 has been a year of huge upheaval and transition in my life with many positive new courses set and indeed nothing really achieved or finished yet. Could you give some guidelines to us in how we single out these pivotal events in the past year that will better lead us to achieving our "high/wide aims"?

MEntity: For the most part, we see those in your similar position as having ADDED something to the life in some way in the past year that is indicative of the pivotal. Added a relationship, a project, a new address, etc. Though we would not limit it to this, we would say that a fairly accurate assessment would include looking back to see what is NEW in the life that either still remains now, or at least the repercussions of it remain. At least one to three major NEW things, people, relationships, projects, etc have been added and have altered your patterns toward the higher/wider aims.

      ******QUEUE CLOSED*******

Now we will share what we perceive as the 2011 Overleaves.

The underlying energies for the year are described by the ROLE and CENTERING. These would remain in effect all year. The rest of the energies are in effect all year, as well, but tend to build upon one another as the year unfolds.  The year unfolds
from the Goal, to the Mode, to the Attitude, to the Chief Negative Features almost parallel to "seasons." Because the Goal starts off strong in January through March, the Role, Centering, and Goal tend to set the tone for the year.

      2011 Overleaves are:
      ROLE: PRIEST
      CENTER: MOVING
      GOAL: FLOW
      MODE: CAUTION
ATTITUDE: PRAGMATIST sliding to Cynic and Skeptic
      CHIEF FEATURES: Impatience/Martyrdom

For most of our students, the most important thing that would come from understanding this mix of energies is that it would do you well to start out your year as clear as possible in terms of intent for the year. The year ahead could be said to potentially feel as if one is on ice skates on a block of ice on a choppy ocean. For some of our more adventurous students, this "is going to be fun." But for many, it will mean either sitting down and holding on, working together in tight groups, or at least focusing exactly on the direction intended to go so that "looking down" does not distract from the path.

With the Priest energy unfolding, we would say that the year would carry with it strong themes that display the spectrum between COMPASSION and ZEAL. The struggle for continued extension and placement of RIGHTS in various contexts will probably stay in the collective consciousness, with those who are for these Rights playing out Compassion, while those who refuse those Rights playing out Zeal. With the spectrum between Compassion and Zeal playing out, we would think that POLITICS will stay front and center in the media as reflective of the continued shift from the Young paradigm to the Mature Paradigm. This is because the political arena is quite effective in reflecting the mass psyche of a time or place.

Politics have been the stomping ground of the Young Souls in the same way that Religion has been the stomping ground of the Baby Souls, but with the aging Essences dominating your world, these institutions are not being replaced, but rather repopulated. The Mature and Old are finding their way into Politics as more and more Mature Souls push for valid representation and uncovering of corruption. Because Mature Souls do not subject themselves to segregation, despite longing for like-mindedness, they are populating nearly every institution that was usually held in control by a specific Soul Age. Religions, then, are seeing the effects of this, as well.

We bring in Religion in particular because it has long ago become simply another form of politics. In the year ahead, we would think that this institution is also brought into the collective consciousness as either collapsing into Zeal, or evolving into Compassion along with the context of RIGHTS.

The Moving Center of a year usually shows up as a sense of constant movement, with many actually experiencing relocation in those years, and often large quantities of fragments exiting in Physical Plane events. These things are not easy to validate in terms of our Overleaves for the year because these things happen "all the time," but we can say that in Moving Centered years, there is usually an element of emphasis and profundity about these events that other years tend not to have.

With the Goal of Flow opening a Moving-centered Priest year, as we alluded before, AIM OF VISION is probably the most important key phrase to remember.

With an AIM OF VISION, then the pattern may tend toward everything falling into place in a way that cascades toward that vision. Because of the nature of Flow, it would mean that the challenge is to trust in that flow, rather than to control it or fight it. It would mean adapting to the cascade effect, recalibrating quickly, rather than being preoccupied with correction.

When we say AIM OF VISION, it only means that you decide what ONE THING you wish to do, experience, see, complete, accomplish, etc. in 2011 and then let that be the aim. Everything else is presumed to be a part of that aim. For instance, even if "going to work" conflicts with your more creative endeavors, it would be presumed that your going to work is PART of what can be contributing to your creative endeavors. To become preoccupied with "if only," might bring about the difficulties. Such as "if only I didn't have to work so much, I could do my creative projects."

With the Goal of Flow for the year, it brings with it the spectrum between FREEDOM and INERTIA.

As the year opens up into January through March, for those who have that clarity of aim, the year may start out feeling quite free, light, and almost as if you now may catch your breath, and breathe. For those who are not so sure, still preoccupied with corrections, comparisons, or disappointments, the year might move into a state of INERTIA, feeling as if you are running in place, or moving with a momentum but with no sense of direction.

To clarify your AIM OF VISION will not mean that you are choosing only one thing to accomplish in the year, but that you are simply choosing one emphasis that will help you to keep your footing. In other words, choose that one thing that, if reached, you know would be a "good thing" for you.

Choosing that one thing to aim for will not sacrifice any others in any significant way.

An analogy: When a student receives or deciphers his or her Overleaves, it will never truly matter if those Overleaves are 100% "correct" if the aim of that student is to aim for the Positive Poles. This is not to say that there are not correct overleaves, but that it is the aim that makes the difference, not the words. If a Sage thinks he is a Warrior and aims for Persuasion instead of Dissemination, the mere act of aiming for his idea of a positive pole warrior will make him a positive pole sage.

And so it is with your aim in the year ahead:

Aiming for anything that is significant and important to you will naturally align all of the things that are significant and important to you. The reason we suggest this idea of Aim of Vision is because it is also in alignment with the energies of Priest, and this means a natural kind of support for that aim is in place. The cliche of the "vision board" would not be amiss in exploring, either.

In our monthly Energy Reports, we can more specifically speak to how these Overleaves are showing up in your world, but for now, we can say that the main arenas of 2011 would most likely be Politics, Religion, and Weather/Climate.
We will open the floor for comments/questions for the remainder of the hour. Though we have more to say on the interpretation of the overleaves for the year, we can do so as the year unfolds.

      ******QUEUE IS NOW OPEN******

[TimW] Are there any specific positive affirmations that we would most benefit from in the coming year?

MEntity: If one is to use "positive affirmations," we would suggest that they be customized to your Aim of Vision. For instance, if one is aiming to complete a novel, but one is stuck at work, distracted by a relationship, etc., then one could affirm, "Even in this, I am contributing to the completion of my novel." This kind of reminder might help one to see the point of these so-called "distractions." One must eat and have shelter and the tools for writing, so going to work is actually a contribution to the novel; and being responsible to another, compassionate, nurturing, understanding, etc are food for the emotions and intellect that can be used to fuel the writing. A "generic" affirmation might be: "Everything I DO is contributing to my Aim."

[Mstudent_23] What is the PART of the Moving CENTER for 2011?

MEntity: The PART fluctuates, but the pattern emerging appears to be Emotional, lending the year a rather reactionary element to it with knee-jerking, volatility, and difficulty communicating past feelings.

[Bobby2] Other than your summary, you really didn't mention weather/climate much... care to elaborate a bit more there?

      MEntity:
In a Higher Centered year, or a Moving Centered year, there tend to be greater emphasis on the Physical Plane patterns of weather as reflective of the collective consciousness. In Higher Centered years, the impact is usually global, and often with more than one event, such as the Higher-Emotional year of 2005 that was rung in by the Indian Ocean Tsunami and exited with Hurricane Katrina. In Moving Centered years, the weather and climate still tend to get emphasized and intense, but peppered throughout the Physical Plane in highly-localized ways.

What we see over 2011 is a collage of events that some will take and use as support for the "2012" theories. Major droughts "here," raging fires "there," freak blizzards "here," torrential rains "there," devastating earthquakes, etc. Those who fear and crave the "prophecies" related to 2012 will find most of their fodder in the weather of 2011. The weather and climate is still greatly misunderstood and carries with it the collective instinctual fear and awe of that "something greater" that can be tangibly imposed upon the masses. Therefore, it can still be hijacked as a reference of "proof" of things to come.

[Brian_W] would this be related to the mass-exit to stage left that Michael said that large number of fragments would be undertaking?

MEntity: Weather appears to be moving in a direction that would be experienced as undoubtedly more volatile and unpredictable due to many factors unrelated to any "dimensional shift," but related to a natural cycle that the Earth has sustained over and over. In a Moving-Centered year, the effects tend to be much more obvious and tangible, and this is why we say that Weather is one of the main characters of 2011, but also because there will be those eager to showcase it as evidence of ominous things to come.

[Geraldine] Of course having a population explosion that will reach 7 billion people this year will have nothing to do with the size and range of any disaster -- i.e., a hurricane that might have affected 100 people will now affect 100 million.

MEntity: That is correct, Geraldine. Many natural disasters are not worse in terms of intensity, but that there are simply more things and people in the line of them. In response to Astarte: no, not much would be different except the awareness and emphasis on these events.

[Kathryn41] are earthquakes and volcanic eruptions included in what you refer to as 'weather'? They are really geological events but can have impact on the weather.

      MEntity: Yes, Kathryn.

[Angela] Earlier you mentioned overleaves being a description of genetic DYNAMICS, can you explain more about these dynamics and their influences?

MEntity: All Overleaves are genetic, in that they can be found in the DNA of every individual, and this is what springs forth in creating the Body and Personality. There is more "nature" to a person than "nurture," in other words, even though there is a mix, and the choices of the individual can affect how either are emphasized. If one were to use our system alongside the study of genetic markers, there would be a time when Overleaves can literally be found in the DNA of an individual. Personality structures are rooted and blueprinted in genetics, but built from the experiences of the life.

[Angela] could ALL overleaves be encoded in an individual's DNA? or only the ones specific to that person

MEntity: In the same way that a Body is predesigned to a great degree, but experiences such as food, climate, activities can alter that design, so are Personalities born and raised. The entire set of Overleaves could be found in every individual, but only certain markers to activate code combinations. We are speaking through a non-medical channel, so our terminology is limited.

[Kathryn41] so this is how a walk-in can essentially 're-wire' the genetic markers over time to reflect the new overleaves - makes sense

MEntity: Those Overleaves that are not the individual's would be dormant, and are rarely activated in replacement of others. When there is an alteration of the active overleaves, it is usually limited to the axis. For instance, a "walk in" might activate Growth over Re-evaluation, etc.

[Angela] can beliefs be used to activate these code combinations?

      MEntity:
The alteration of one's DNA by beliefs is about as easy as concentrating hard to change your hair color, or skin color. One can always mask or alter those things, but cannot truly change them.

We will conclude here. We will continue to elaborate upon the Overleaves for the year as the year unfolds.

Good day to each of you. Goodbye.

      MEntity:
When one looks at our system of Overleaves and explores the concept of the Goal for a lifetime, it is often assumed that this trait describes an inherent quality of the Personality. For instance, a person with the Goal of Acceptance might mean that this person is an “accepting person,” but this may or may not be the case. More accurately, the Goal describes a direction of emphasis toward which a fragment intended to go in terms of experience for the lifetime, and describes the context through which those experiences will be filtered. In other words, the Goal describes the MOTIVATION behind a fragment’s actions, and the MEANING toward which he or she is trying to build a case.

When looking at your Goal, it will bring great insight to consider it as being linked to every single action within the lifetime. Your Goal may not always be directly linked to your feelings, to your thoughts, to your spirituality, but it is ALWAYS linked to your ACTIONS. Everything you DO is in some way intended to emphasize your Goal.

For fragments that tend to live the life unconsciously (for lack of a better term) the lifetime can still be viewed in terms of actions directly emphasizing the Goal, but Meaning will be applied to those actions after the lifetime has ended and is [in] review. For those who choose to bring some awareness to the lifetime and to the process of comprehending how one’s actions emphasize the Goal, it can be quite enlightening to view Actions of the life in terms of how it builds a case for or against your Goal. In other words, what do your actions MEAN? What are you DOING with your life? What are you DOING with your relationships? What are you DOING about your health, your wealth, your feelings, your thoughts, etc. What do you find to be the common theme among all of your actions as they relate to all elements of your life?

Beyond the simplified description of seeing your Goal as a state to achieve, or as a basket in which you collect your experiences, it could be far more accurate to see your Goal as a quality of life toward which your actions seek to PROVE or DISPROVE. It could be said that a lifetime will be spent building a case FOR and AGAINST the Goal. Though one will tend to have an inclination toward proving or disproving, both angles are explored. Every action within the lifetime is a collection of evidence to support or refute the Goal.

In most cases, the positive and negative poles of the Goal can give indications as to whether one is disproving or proving the Goal. For example, if one has a Goal of Growth, the positive Pole of Evolution will tend to prove that Growth is valuable and meaningful, whereas Confusion, the negative pole, will indicate that your actions are collecting experiences that prove that Growth is “not worth it,” overwhelming, senseless, etc. If one has a Goal of Acceptance, the positive pole of Agape can indicate that one is actively creating proof that love is powerful, embracing, and meaningful, whereas the negative pole of Ingratiation indicates a collection of experiences that show how Acceptance can degrade, diminish, and damage a person, seeming to be a meaningless experience.

For those who choose to implement the Goal with some awareness, it can help for you to always ask these basic questions:

      1. WHAT AM I DOING?
      2. WHAT DOES IT MEAN TO ME?
      3. AM I PROVING OR DISPROVING THIS QUALITY OF LIFE?

Keeping in mind that your Goal describes a QUALITY of life that ALREADY EXISTS toward which every Action is building a case for or against can bring about a great amount of liberation to your movement through the life. The Goal is not a destination or an accomplishment, but a comprehension. It is the process of adding Action plus Meaning, and then measuring where one is [in] relation to that Quality of life.

Note from Janet: Although the intent for the topic was Centers and Body Types, no discussion of Body Types occurred.

      [Michael_Entity]
We are here. Hello to all of you.

We will begin with the Energy Report as we see it for the weeks of December 9 through the 22nd.

It is, of course, not a coincidence that many of you have begun discussing the properties and personal experiences of the Centers, as many of you are shifting into next year’s basic Centering at this time. Though a year’s “Overleaves” are not defined entirely and are not static at any given time, there is an overall set that does appear to have influence over varying levels of consciousness, at least symbolically. In the case of Older Souls, that set of influences can begin to take place in the few months before the new year.

We will also note an unusual phenomenon that is occurring for all of you: currently, in such a short time span between them, another larger Nexus Shift occurs. It is not uncommon for great shifts to occur throughout a year, but another shift is beginning on the 10th, and another in January/February, while this is all following the large shift in November. These shifts with little “breaks” between them are creating a great amount of shifting in levels of Energy among your Overleaves and your ability to participate in the world. There appear to be distinct days when your energy seems quite inspired and above normal, while the next few will find you seeming to be locked in an infinite stream of constricting thoughts and low energy. For some this will feel like “limbo,” while for others this can feel “manic.”

The Center for the next year, at this time, appears to be Moving, with bursts of Higher Moving. Unless you are Moving Centered, yourself, this is going to begin to feel like a time of shifting into OBVIOUS manifestations of what you are DOING.

(We remind you that our Energy Reports are not predictions, they are merely comments on patterns and how you might be able to use them or dismiss them.)

Having a field of Moving Centered Energy as the context for a period of time can mean a great deal of attention would be coming to the body and its relationship to its environment. We are speaking of its Physical environment, which can translate into a range from its sources of stimulation, affection, and activity, to its ability to use the finer energies that make up and create the Physical Plane.

Some of you may begin to pull out your old copies of teachings which focus on the concepts of “creating your own reality” and take a more active approach to reality than usual. While others may begin to feel overwhelmed by the “responsibility” that the Moving Centers imply while Physical.

Besides the fact of what you call “the holidays,” a stronger and stronger desire to be with those whom you care for and feel part of will begin to be a priority.

If these basic trends continues and the next year continues with the Moving Centered theme, we will be able to comment more accurately on how it might manifest. For now, a primary theme appears to be those points we just mentioned, along with a heightened awareness of your food intake and ability to literally move (health).

We will conclude the report here and take any questions about it before we discuss the Centers.

[Kathryn] Many of us, myself included, have been feeling very drained and tired or just down lately. Is this the reaction to this energy report influence?

      [Michael_Entity]
We don't believe the Energy Report itself has any influence as such, but the Energy, itself, we are reporting about may very well be what you are responding/reacting to.

For those who have any kind of health deficiencies, however minute, the Moving Center will markedly “force” the body into a position that is more inclined to facilitate recovery. This can be sleep, mental distraction, high activity, anger, etc., but it’s point is to facilitate recovery.

Another important factor to consider is the inherent nature of any Nexus having a sedating effect on the Human body as realities shift and creativity on another level is affecting the body. You do “create reality,” and that still uses energy. Most of the time, that energy is being held preciously by the Personality for reasons it doesn't even understand. The sedation and “tired phase” allows the “grip” to loosen and your reality can then free up some energy for changes to be made.

Most of you have your Personalities quite in charge of your lives, even if it doesn't quite “know” what to do. When a shift is needed and the Personality is choosing to work with Essence, the Personality will gladly concede and “take a nap.” At some point, in some lifetime, a shift will happen wherein the Personality and Essence are aligned enough that control is not shifted from one to the other, but is shared.

If there are no other questions on the Energy Report, we will discuss CENTERING. We feel there is no need to introduce the Centering to you, as many of you are already fairly studied in this area of our teaching. We will, however, respond to all of your questions about this area so as to clarify and help with the application of the information.

[MaryBV] How does centering affect memory?

      [Michael_Entity]
ALL Centers have their form of Memory in storage and retrieval.

The Intellect stores and retrieves memory in the form of Thoughts, Ideas, and is Visually interpreted.

The Emotional memories are stored and retrieved in the form what are commonly understood as Feelings, Emotions, and are Aurally interpreted.

The Moving stores and retrieves its memories in the forms of Health, Activity, and are Sensually interpreted.

Each Center does affect how events are remembered; especially in the mixture of the Centering with the Part.

The Intellect affects the memory with its level of beliefs and justifications; the Emotions affect memory with its sentimentality and attachments; the Moving affects the memory through its levels of vitality and productivity at the time.

For each of these examples above, they are only part of how each Center may affect memory, and those factors always stem from the PRESENT (retrieval), not how or what was stored.

Each Center is involved in Memory, of course, but the habitual Centering will affect how a fragment's memory is used habitually.

Each Ordinal Center is referencing memory of the current lifetime and physicality. If more information outside of that realm is required or resonating, it is then drawn through the Higher of that Center. The Instinctive Center is the communication medium between the Cardinal and Ordinal.

Since the Instinct/Assimilation is usually maintaining the task of protection of the body, most memory filtered there is decidedly fearful or not. This is why most long-standing memories are either decidedly joyful or painful.

We can continue to extrapolate on this topic, but we will ask if we are answering your question appropriate to your intent.

[MaryBV] Well, I should have asked also how the role plays into this, but that is probably a topic for a whole discussion.

[Michael_Entity] The Roles play little part in how memory is used or affected, since each lifetime sets a new design for the body and the Body/Personality is the tool for memory. The Essence's choice of Overleaves is the most direct impact. Since Time is not a factor for Essence, it does not have the need for “memory” as it is experienced on the Physical Plane.

[MaryBV] I see, so what accounts for smell/taste, etc., in memory?

[Michael_Entity] Every Cell and Atom in your body has the ability to “remember,” which means it has the ability to re-create. When the Personality or Body calls on a memory to be reconstructed, it will call on these minute parts of self to participate. It is of no mystery that you can recall a scene in a movie, which is Visual, but it is no more a mystery for the other senses to have that ability to reconstruct, as well.

[WickedBear] Could you discuss the fundamental differences between the two action centers?

      [Michael_Entity]
The most fundamental difference is in that the Ordinal pertains to the immediate environment of the Personality and Body, while the Cardinal pertains to all that encompasses that. The Moving Center, then, would govern and process the events of the actual, Physical Body and its health, activity, manipulation of environment, etc. The Higher Moving Center would then govern and process those similar things, but as they pertain to larger patterns that include everything pertaining to the Essence.

It could be said that the Moving Center is the manifestation/expression of that particular Personality's part in the Higher Moving tapestry of the Essence.

[Elf] Is the Part of Center chosen about the same time as the Centering? And what is most influential in that choice?

      [Michael_Entity]
Centering is chosen by the age of 3 in most cases, while the Part/Trap is a habit by the age of 7 (approximately).

The most influential aspect of that choice is in the major theme then settled on for the lifetime as to how to process events. The Center/Part becomes the Body's primary strength and challenge, and sets the stage for relationships, health, and beliefs for the majority of the life. Depending on your Centering and Part, you will find that your PART/TRAP becomes the defining obstacle to hurdle in coming to peace with a lifetime.

If the balance can be called upon for any Center, regardless of habit, then a great freedom is experienced within the lifetime. The first examination of this is in the 4th Internal Monad when the Part is either simply a Part, or continues to be the Trap. Most will find as the life progresses that the Part becomes the Trap, the more they ignore the need for that third Center to be incorporated. As part of the process for finding that balance, the neglected Center will eventually require attention.

For those lacking in the Moving Center, then health, prosperity, material security, physical need for affection and validation can become stages for its balance.

For those lacking in the Intellectual Center, then over-questioning, overwhelm, isolation, indecisiveness, and unacknowledged dependence on others for direction are examples of where the imbalance can show up.

For those lacking in the Emotional Center, then alienation, hypercriticism, unacknowledged issues of rejection, can tend to be some of the arenas for balance.

[Elf] Thank you. So the Part/Trap of Center is then somewhat a part of the Life Task?

      [Michael_Entity]
Yes, the Centering/Part are intrinsically linked to the Tasks of the Life. Centering habits tend to define how the Personality uses its 4 “pillars,” of which the Life Task (True Work), is one of those pillars. Your True Rest is directly linked to the use of your neglected Center. Your True Work is directly relating to the Goal.

The Centering/Part is not inherently a challenge to your Life Task, but it is a powerful definition of the path.

And with that, we will conclude. Good Night.

Conscious Connection to Essence 3 of 3

Note: This series begins with Michael Speaks -- Conscious Connection to Essence (1 of 3)

      [Michael_Entity]
Hello to all. We are here. One moment.

In our sharing with you our various perspectives of what is and isn’t being conscious of Essence, we believe a practical examination of each Essence Role would be beneficial. In our examination we will share what we perceive are the Maya (or Great Lesson) of that particular role and a more ‘organic’ approach to determining what might be considered rejection of Essence or what might be considered acceptance of Essence.

We will note here that the positive and negative poles of the Essence ARE NOT indications of being conscious or accepting of Essence. A fragment in the Negative Poles is just as potentially “in Essence” as a fragment in the positive poles, at least in terms of experiencing its life. What we have sought to exchange with you is what it means to reject Essence or accept Essence as part of your primary being. Those who reject Essence are in deep isolation and a myriad of other traumatic or deteriorating experiences, regardless of how together their life appears or how wonderful their work and relationships and successes are. Those who are accepting and conscious of Essence usually have the enthusiasm to ‘make the best of everything’, even in the midst of what ‘should’ be devastating. Poverty, drama, accidents, horror are NOT signs of disconnection from Essence, they are merely experiences. A positive pole role can still be at its apparent ‘best’ yet still be disconnected from Essence. A negative pole role can be as difficult and trying as expected, and be conscious. The keys are in the act of Decisions and CHOICES.

In the moments of your darkest despair, if you can “look up” and recognize that this space is simply where you are at the moment, even if you seek no resolution beyond that realization, half of your battle is completed. When you say “yes, this is where I am right now, I know I could do something but I do not feel like it right now”, you have granted yourself an open door to Essence. Acknowledging your state of mind, your resistance, your struggles, etc. are in that very moment your decision and choice to allow or change, you become immediately centered and present, regardless of your choice in either direction. This will immediately and in that moment connect you consciously to Essence. This does not mean your mood or situation will magically remove itself from your life, but you have opened your world and option for greater probabilities by that single choice, a millionfold.

Besides your initial acknowledgment that you may have dropped your connection to Essence, we will say that the most powerful and profound choice you can make next is to ASK FOR HELP. The body is not designed to sustain animation and life without connection to Essence for any extended period of time once sentience has moved in. We want to note at this point that there is no REAL disconnection from Essence; we merely use these terms for convenience, even the term ‘rejection’ is inaccurate in light of the truth, but these terms capture the experience and we will continue to use them with this understanding. We will begin now with each Essence, but first, we will pause for a few questions, if there are any, about what we have shared thus far.

[nemo999] What are the most common states of mind? Pleasure, pain, depression, sadness, happiness, attention, boredom … are these states of mind or are they illusion?

      [Michael_Entity]
This set of descriptions are only conveniences to describe whatever a person interprets as their reality in the moment. They are highly subjective and can refer to either illusions or what you have called ‘states of mind.’ They are all ‘real’ to a person experiencing.

The definition of ‘illusion,’ or Maya as we prefer, is in the apparent indulgence in a ‘truth’ that is subjectively inappropriate for the fragment. There are some Maya that are shared collectively, some that are individual.

Despite the fact that Personal Truth will render all of these experiences “real”, we will share a little of our perception.

Depression from your list can be considered a collective ‘illusion,’ and one that is a deep indulgence in Maya, though very ‘real’ when inside of it. Depression is a resigned stance toward the life, an emotional suicide based on one or more of the Chief Features. This is not a judgment. When one is in Depression, we differentiate this from Grief. Depression is literally the consistent and insistent effort to reject the life. If Depression is being experienced, acknowledge that you are where you are in your experience, and ask for help. Depression is one of many Maya that creates a situation where intervention from outside forces is required.

Pain from your list can be either Maya or “real”, but is always a symptom of resistance or friction, which we do not see as inherently good or bad, merely resistance to some Growth. Pleasure is always a symptom of higher awareness and connection to Essence. Sadness can be either, though if tears are involved, recognition of a truth on some level is occurring. If there are no tears, this is most likely a form of Depression. Boredom is always a symptom of Maya and is a literal self-lie to remove responsibility. When Boredom is indulged in, you are living in a space of time that was created from want of “having more time”, then when it arrives, you seek to fill it. This all happens because creation on the Physical Plane is denser and slower, therefore the space and time sought “shows up”, but sometimes out of synch with your faster moving mind. Making a note that Boredom is a sign of forgetting your original intentions can help make more of that time. It is not required, of course, that you continue with your original intentions, but release the judgments about EXPERIENCING the slowing of time and take a moment to stop. When we say this is a self-lie to remove responsibility, we mean this in terms of being able to respond, not in terms of discipline.

[Azure362] What happens when one fragment is deriving pleasure from another fragment’s pain? Here is where I get confused. This encompasses all these levels, personal or collective, as in when society feels some sort of pleasure at putting some fragment to death, as in capitol punishment. So this would not be true connection to Essence then? So it is safe to say that some pleasures are of Maya?

      [Michael_Entity]
That is difficult to reconcile within the confines of the Physical Plane. We do not expect you to reconcile that, nor do we think it can be. Sometimes events are not understandable by Personality.

We will say, however, that True pleasure is rarely experienced at the expense of another, unless both Essences involved have a mutual agreement for something that is otherwise seen as horrific.

We will define true pleasure as being that which retains the recognition of the choice of others. If the choice of other is interfered with, then this cannot be true pleasure, it is only stimulation. And, no, it is not correct to say some pleasures are of Maya. Pleasure that interferes with the life, path, or choice of another is stimulation, not true pleasure.

[Azure362] And then it is true pleasure that connects to Essence? I think I am getting it. Sorry, lol, but I see some fragments getting pleasure out of stimulation as such ?

      [Michael_Entity]
Consider the image of a person gratified by eating a chocolate bar versus that of one being gratified by stealing the chocolate from a child. You will most likely intuit the difference. It is not complex when examined and the differences between self-stimulation and true pleasure are glaring. Again, the difference is in the lack of interference of choice in another.

Our system of Personality and Essence is comparatively quite simple and each part of the system is dynamically linked to other parts, leading to what many have called Michael Math. Each role, attitude, CF, center, etc. are all linked by their axis. For instance, the Ordinal Inspiration will have re-evaluation, reserve, stoic, emotional, self-deprecation, and lunar body types, along with the Server, and the attributes of the number one. Therefore, as we discuss each role tonight in its disconnection from Essence, you might also recognize in that disconnection a link to that role’s inherent Chief Feature. In this instance, though, we might call it “The Great Lesson”. This is not a term we prefer, but it is one our channel found appropriate and we do not disagree, though more creative ways of seeing this will surely come from our sharing with you.

Therefore, each Essence will have its “Great Lesson” and this ‘lesson’ will always recur each lifetime in some form. There will be no lifetime that does not struggle with this ‘lesson’, however briefly. Regardless of the dynamics of personality and its chosen emphasis of challenge, the Essence IN ITSELF has its challenges, though it is seen from a very different perspective and eagerly played with. This results from Essence “forgetting” the inherent challenges of the physical plane while being Astral. The body has to regain consciousness each lifetime regardless of soul age and seeks to grow back into the soul age last reached in the previous life.

We will also note here that each of these scenarios we might mention in regard to the Roles can be applied to each of you since you may relate it to your own CF that then relates to the Role we are describing. Each Role and CF relates to a Chakra, or Center, and this can also lead to connections. We suggest you only focus on your Role for now, figuring in the consideration as to when or whether you are conscious and accepting of Essence, regardless of these extrapolations.

We will begin with the SERVER. For now, we will examine the basics. When a Server is conscious and connected to Essence, regardless of its struggles and fears in the life, its Great Lesson is in discovering that it can take care of other things, nurture them, help them, be tremendously effective in catering to the nuances of needs in another all the while being able to care for self. The Server connected to Essence and conscious of that connection chooses to take care of itself no matter what is happening in the life, knowing inherently that this is the only way to truly be successful in any endeavor.

The Server who is not connected to Essence chooses not only to slack in its care of self, but loses its enthusiasm to seek to care for others. This Server will seek in its universe and emphasize in its universe any and all ways to prove that things are not loving, that there is discord and that their own lives are not making a difference. They are self-deprecation, manifest. This Server has its roots in only emphasizing its own and all others inadequacy, or lack of being. This can be overt or subtle, but it will show.

Their keys to bringing back a conscious connection to Essence (besides the first vital two steps, recognizing choice for where you are, and then asking for help), is in doing anything physically stimulating. Running, jogging, going dancing, anything with dirt and the ground, and getting a massage. Anything that allows contact PHYSICALLY with what is considered the “outside world” that provides data without judgment. The SERVER more than any other Role can use the past as their world and choose to gauge everything within that context, therefore, it is successful to release the past and choose experiences that bring the Server more “presence.”

Next we will comment on the ARTISAN. The Artisan who is conscious of and connected to Essence is one that has learned to allow happiness into the life. This may seem deceptively simple and universally applicable, but any true Artisan can tell you that it is one of their Great Lessons to learn to like receiving and indulging in the pleasures of this world. An Artisan who is connected and conscious with Essence has true joy and enthusiasm for the life, allowing whatever levels of prosperity and abundance are appropriate at that moment. They have admitted to themselves what they wanted, what they needed, and they are allowing themselves to have it, to create it.

The Artisan that is disconnected or rejecting of Essence feels their needs are too great, that they will never get what they deserve or are not worth the life used on them. Artisans are clever in their disconnection from Essence because they have helped to construct a culture that supports it. It plays on other fragments, deriving from them false compassion and pity, but nothing of value to make the life seem “worth it.” The Artisan disconnected from Essence is self-destruction, manifest. They have determined that they are not worth what they want. The Artisan can endure for years and years in this state, far longer than any other role disconnected from Essence, because this state eventually requires others to reach out and care for them, even if they are not making changes, themselves.

Eventually, the Great Lesson is learned and the life is transformed. At some point, and probably more dramatically than any other role, a shift in the life occurs. This brings the Artisan into a space that says YES to life, to what it wants, recognizes its needs and says they are worth pursing it for.

Ways for the Artisan to connect to Essence in times of recognized disconnection are through any form of artistic expression, but most especially painting or sculpting, making a concerted effort to GET OUT OF THE HOUSE. They can purchase things that feel fun are usually labeled “trivial”, interact with small animals, or dance privately to music.

Next we will comment on the WARRIOR. The Warrior when connected and conscious with Essence finds itself in many a challenge against or within the life where there appear to be imbalances. A Warrior that is Conscious recognizes that their very nature requires them to live intentionally and with purpose of action. This means, regardless of its tediousness or turbulence, they are always out to conquer something. The Warrior connected to Essence finds itself in many situations of chaos and disorder as a means to exercise and emphasize what is and isn’t Power or Empowering. More than any other role they are more perpetually in crisis or challenge because this is truly where their “heart” lies. It may not be acceptable or as “easy” as other roles’ experiences or what the culture supports, but it is their world and it is vital. The symptoms of a Warrior connected to Essence can most likely be seen in gauging the strengths of their relationships.

The Warrior disconnected or rejecting Essence feels that their life is one unrolling world of chaos and they determine they are just ‘lucky’ for what they have, relinquishing effort to make a path. More than any other role, even if arguably, the Warrior that is disconnected from Essence spends it life seeking approval and recognition, while consistently remaining in the shadows. The disconnected Warrior lays low, evades conflict, and depends on others heavily. The disconnected Warrior has a deep sense that at some point it needs to do or be something specific in order to be loved or recognized. Most of the time, this Warrior has no idea what that “something specific” is and will continue to close its circle of life down until it learns to make choices for itself, grasping that they are in control of their lives; this is their Great Lesson. The disconnected Warrior is Martyrdom manifest.

This is another role that can regain connection to Essence by incorporating or balancing with heavy physical activity. Making contact with life in a physical manner that brings data into the body emphasizing security and control, such as Tai Chi or the Alexander Technique, a sport that requires coordination, or can all bring the Essence back into the picture. Asking to be held, or holding someone important can help, as well.

We will address the SCHOLAR now. The Scholar that is connected to Essence and conscious has learned its Great Lesson, which revolves around the reality of shared love. This Scholar has realized with a great amount of profundity that they will not love another until they have sought to love themselves. As we have said, there are many of these Role symptoms you all may find applicable, but for each Role, you will see they are a deeper lesson when specifically considered. All other Roles have an “easier” time at loving and being loved than the Scholar does. The Scholar who is connected to Essence has realized they are whole and complete, that they like themselves and have decided to trust and open their hearts to their life. They recognize that ALL aspects of life are capable of being loved, even themselves and all the hard times passed through.

When the Scholar is disconnected or rejecting of Essence, they do their best to ignore their lives, to resist the examination that not everything is fine. This Scholar refuses to examine their vulnerabilities and have not dealt with their shadow feelings, resulting in acts of dominance or power struggles. They have never experienced intimacy of any depth due to these things. They become adept at arguing their points, ignoring the pains of their past, destroying or deteriorating any relationship or person whom touches too closely too personal areas of pain and sensation. They are Stubbornness manifest. They, more than any other Role, truly fear what is called love. The disconnected Scholar can still bring in a definite resource of love into their lives, but this is usually sought only out of need for refuge, a place to securely hold up the walls around their own hearts. The Scholar disconnected from Essence can be one of the most painful and emotionally tormenting of all exchanges for someone trying to love them.

Some suggestions for bringing more of Essence in might be to talk to children about their perspective on life, actually play with children or play on a child’s playground. Seeking laughter of any kind brings Essence immediately back in for a Scholar. Seeking the experience of the aroma and visuals of botanical gardens or observing the ocean can help, or having flowers within visual and olfactory range.

We will address the SAGE now. The Sage in connection to Essence is the most obvious and closest to what the positive pole describes. They are TALKING. The Sage connected to Essence, regardless of what they are communicating, is at least communicating. They seek to express any and all feelings and thoughts as a means for communication. When they are angry, you know it, when they are sad, you know it, when they are happy, you know it; they will gladly tell you and tell everyone else.

The Sage who is disconnected from Essence becomes silent. Of all the roles, the Sage is the most tender and fragile of all roles. We do not imply this negatively. This is simply because they are the “children” of our universe, and no physical age or soul age will ever change this. It is their “job”.

As this Role pertains to communication, children, and the Intellectual Center or fifth (Throat) Chakra, you can see the fragility in a child who has been driven or shunned into silence, when the child hangs its head to cover the vulnerable communication center. This can be reflected in all ages of a Sage, as well. When a Sage has gone silent they are rejecting Essence, losing consciousness. In fact, forms of silence can range through all forms of suppression. This means this Role more than most is susceptible to addictions and substance abuses, anything to redirect the energies from having to address what wants to be said. They are Greed manifest, as they fixate on something they feel they do not have enough of, and remain struggling to attain this at the expense of life and self. Their Great Lesson is in realizing their expression and feelings are important, that what they have to say about what they are experiencing is important to someone, even if this starts out being just themselves.

Ways for the Sage to regain consciousness and connection are through writing letters, reading personal journal entries to someone who will listen, sharing a personal story or poetry, trusting what you feel about a person when you first meet them, and singing out loud.

We will address the PRIEST now. The Priest who has a connection to Essence realizes that life is full of many truths and each experience has its own truth. More than any other role, this role when connected to Essence has a deep and profound trust in life, knowing with true perception how to pass through the next moments and lead others through those confusions in life as well. Life is intuitively navigated.

When disconnected, this Essence lives in a world of concepts and ideas, rational thinking and over-analysis. This would normally seem harmless, but the Priest disconnected from Essence enforces these rationales, ideas, and over-analysis to the point of destroying the life or misleading others as a means for false validation of beliefs. They lose their ability to adapt to the nuances of life and seek only to remain in a predefined, structured, and thought out picture of life.

This removes their ability to intuit and trust in life, but creates severe judgment and enforcement of fear. This Role more than any other Role can make a lie become a profound but false truth about themselves, life, or others. They are Arrogance manifest.

To help bring the Priest back into connection, we suggest to this Role more than any other to literally make time to communicate to what you consider to be your higher self, every day. We also suggest purchasing or making a set of cards with inspirational affirmations or a book of quotes that can be a “message” or “thought for the day”, or whenever in need, to help lend insight from someplace beyond analysis.

And finally the KING, we will comment on. The King who has a connection to Essence is keenly aware of the fact of all possibilities, a sense of connection to all of its life. The King connected to Essence does not just live the life, it IS the life as well. This King recognizes that it is the source of all of its life, through choice, creation, and from even higher. This King sees no separation based on time or space, but only the beautiful unfolding of a life as perfect, no matter what. They do not judge the life, themselves, or others for their position in it, but instead recognizes itself in everything around it. This King has dealt with what might be called its “dark side” and now sees through that state in others, recognizing all the illusions. Limitation is never seen as an obstacle, but an important aspect of life to help direct growth.

A King who has rejected Essence becomes highly separated from its life, separated within itself, and from others. Its Great Lesson is in acknowledging they are a PART of everything and everyone, not APART. This King is caught in circles of self-gratification and simple distraction for stimulation. They feel they alone are completely responsible for all achievements in life and resist any help in any form, in fact, sometimes violently. This King rejects people outright due to imperfections reflected from self and creates enormous amounts of Space and Time between those who are their most powerful support. They are Impatience manifest. This King who is rejecting of Essence will forever remain in a circle of development since they allow no other influences or support into their lives.

Ways for a King to bring back a sense of connection to Essence is through visiting spiritual temples for moments of quiet and reflection, watching or reading information shared by spiritual leaders they resonate with. They can make changes in the life that reflects a commitment to the acknowledgement of the life force in all others, such as through vegetarianism or volunteer work. More than any other Role, we would have to doubly emphasize that this Role could benefit from ASKING FOR HELP.

We will conclude here. Since this session ran so long, we will not be able to respond to questions in this forum, but we invite your questions through your list or discussion forum at Otterly’s [aka Troy Tolley] site.

      Good Night.
