  1. Excerpt from a private session on May 15, 2018. Jeroen: I have been deeply desiring to manifest Essence more in my life and often invite my Essence in. How do you think I am doing with manifesting Essence? MEntity: There are 4 key considerations one can make when assessing how aligned one is with Essence: One is that you to some significant degree know that YOU ARE SAFE. This does not mean you walk blindly through dark alleys and count on blind faith for protection. It means that you accept that, regardless of what happens, there is more to happen. Knowing there is more to happen means knowing there are more possibilities, directions, paths, forms, probabilities, opportunities, and continued existence. Knowing You Are Safe does not mean that you will not hurt or be hurt or harmed. It means you know there is more after that and that you will be there. Two is that you LIKE LIFE. You do not always have to like your life, but you LIKE LIFE. You like Existing. There is a sense of euphoric and terrifying thrill in mystery of your existence and you like existing. Three is that you LIKE OTHERS. You may not always like everyone, but you LIKE OTHERS. You do not avoid them or hate them or condemn them or turn "the world" into a monolithic population. You are able to allow yourself to be angry, frustrated, disappointed, loved, rejected, etc. and still LIKE OTHERS. And finally, you are CURIOUS. You want to know what comes next. You want to see if you can create what comes next. You do not mind not knowing but you want to know. You do not draw conclusions and condemnations about life, you, others. You stack knowledge and experience and are open to adding more. These four keys can help you to determine not only how embracing you are of Essence, but also in what area you may be struggling the most. You may Like Others but do not Like Life, for example. It can be helpful to rate your degree of alignment with each of the symptoms above by using a 5 star rating system with 1 star being least present and 5 stars being most present. Add these up and then use that number to divide 4. For example, if the tally adds up to 15, then the equation is (15 / 4) * 20. This will give you a percentage that can give you an idea of your general degree of Manifestation. ### end of excerpt You may discuss this content within the original post. 2. [Excerpt from the Energy Report: April 2009] MEntity: PASSION MODE ... is about breaking down boundaries between "other" and "self" as a means for actualizing the perceived potential in, between, or of self and other. Passion Mode could be said to transcend the Intellect since there is no need for reason, explanation, or precedence to simply "know" when something resonates with you, or that has meaning for you, or that you perceive it has some bearing on how your soul or personality is represented or fulfilled. Passion is at the root of compassion and empathy, and it is also at the root of Inspiration, since Passion Mode is focused on fulfillment of potential in self and other. In the positive pole, Passion shows up as SELF-ACTUALIZATION. Self-Actualization is the process of discovering, creating, or recognizing the transcendent needs of self or other as a means for fulfillment of potential. In the positive pole, Passion inspires, generates clear perception, imbues compassion, and encourages evolution and uniqueness. In the negative pole, Passion shows up as IDENTIFICATION. Identification is a lack of fulfillment of personal potential, but an attachment to that which represents or symbolizes that fulfillment. The emphasis moves toward generating a sense of specialness, holding fast to that which represents that specialness, focusing on having this false sense of fulfillment corroborated. For example, one might bring passion to the creation of a dinner meant to inspire romance or happiness between self and other, encouraging a fulfillment of potential that is unique between the two, but other does not praise or corroborate the potential represented by the meal since he or she did not necessarily enjoy it. This lack of enjoyment of the meal has no bearing on his or her enjoyment of the potential for romance between the two, but the person whose passion as moved into Identification now sees the rejection of the meal as being a rejection of the self, or potential. The meal was simply another spaghetti meal to "other," which has no relevance to his or her attraction or desire for the person who made the dinner, but since this dinner was not seen as special, the one who created it now diminishes and withdraws much potential from the relationship. Identification encourages constant external validation, specialness, blind faith, pride, defensiveness, and confusion.

  3. [Excerpt from Michael Speaks: May 2000 ] <cyclist> Is sexual congress present in the astral, or is this strictly a physical plane experience? MEntity: What you experience as "sexual congress" while physical is but a portion of what "sex" actually is. The Astral is highly sexual as is each plane progressively. We define sex as "moving in unison with something other than self." Some of you know this experience, with or without genitalia involved. The majestic experiences of seeing the sky on certain dusks or dawns are a highly sexual experience in larger terms. Many of your sexual dreams are more "accurate" than waking sex. The "closer" to Tao we all move, the more sexually, uninhibitedly, we share.

  4. This is a reproduction of this session: Michael Speaks: Internal Monads. You may discuss the content within that original transcript post. September 12, 2010 [MEntity] Hello to each of you. We are here. We can begin now. We have been asked to speak about the processes we have named “The 7 Internal Monads.” We can define “Monad” in many ways, but here we will describe it as “the natural process toward wholeness,” or “the structure provided for two parts of a whole to eventually manifest even greater than the sum of those parts.” A Monad will always have two parts that are vital to the whole, but are eventually resolved, or comprehended, so that those two parts ARE the whole, and not divided. There are Internal and External Monads: the External Monads are variations on relationships between fragments; whereas Internal Monads are variations on relationships with the self, or within the self. These Monads are ALWAYS about “manifesting,” or generating a material counterpart as representation for that structure, process, and eventual wholeness. The External Monads are obvious in that they deal with the space and time between two incarnated fragments, but the Internal Monads are not often understood as having physical/manifested counterparts or representations, because they are often more abstract. However, these Internal Monads’ physical/manifested counterparts are THE LIFE, ITSELF. As we describe each Monad, this may become more clarified and obvious. The 7 Internal Monads are processed and manifested by the Personalities across lifetimes, and these processes and manifestations then contribute to the higher processes of the Essence that must complete a set of 7 Internal Monads for each Level of each Soul Age. In every lifetime, the Personality starts “from scratch” in initiating and taking on these Internal Monads, but the Essence retains the benefit of each Personality’s effort and does not have to start from scratch. Therefore, in any given lifetime, the Essence may be at the 4th Internal Monad, while the current Personality is in the 3rd Internal Monad, for instance. If that same Personality progresses to successfully process the 5th Internal Monad, then it progresses the Essence closer to completion of that particular Soul Level. If it helps one to differentiate between the Essence process of these, and the Personality process, it could be said that the Essence integrates Internal Monads, and the Personality contributes to that by processing as many of the 7 “Rites of Passages” as possible within a lifetime. “Internal Monads” and “Rites of Passages” are rather interchangeable here, but to make it easier to understand, this differentiation may help. It is rare that any Personality completes all 7 Internal Monads, or Rites of Passages within one lifetime. Even if a Personality lives to 80 years old, he or she may still have not completed any Rite of Passage beyond the 2nd, or 3rd, for instance. Using a very simple analogy: Imagine that the successful completion of a Rite of Passage is akin to a Personality filling a basket for Essence. Let us use Oranges as that which must fill the baskets. Personality One within a Soul Age Level will begin the process by fulfilling the First Rite of Passage in being successfully born. This fills the first basket of oranges for Essence. Personality One is also able to process Rite of Passages Two and Three, filling two more baskets with Oranges collected. Personality One takes on the beginning of the Fourth Rite of Passage and begins putting Oranges in the basket for Essence, but never really gets past this Rite of Passage, even though she lives to 90. She will remain locked in a mindset, behavior dynamic, and local perspective that is akin to having never evolved beyond a 30-something year old, despite her physical age. Personality One dies, and Essence now moves that row of baskets out of the way, sets up a new row of baskets for Personality Two, and Personality Two now begins his or her process of gathering Oranges for those baskets. Even though the new Personality must start from scratch in filling the baskets, it is easier now that there is precedence and experience that the new Personality would have access to, if open to Essence. In short, there must be AT LEAST one Personality/incarnation that can fill all the baskets successfully within one lifetime as a means to move Essence on to the next Level of Soul Age. In some rare instances when an Essence moves from one Soul Age Level into the next Level within the same lifetime, then that Personality not only filled the baskets enough to allow for Essence to move to the next Level, but now that there is a new Level, the Personality actually starts again from scratch in filling the baskets relevant to that new Level. This is similar to living “two lifetimes in one.” We say that it is similar, but it is not literal, though often it actually does appear to be a distinct line that defines that transition and then the lifetime seems to be divided into two very different lives. When this happens, the Personality will go through a kind of psycho-emotional “death” as its completion of 7 Internal Monads, and then a kind of psycho-emotional “birth” as it begins the next Level. There are 7 Rites of Passages/Internal Monads, and we will briefly describe each now. Each Internal Monad has 7 Stages within it. Each Stage has a Positive and Negative Pole. Every process through an Internal Monad will mean entering the Negative Pole, then exiting from the Positive Pole for each Stage. This means that a “successful” Internal Monad would be completing the 7th Stage in the Positive Pole, leaving the entire Monad in the Positive Pole. In keeping with the baskets of oranges analogy, a Negative Pole would simply be an unfilled basket. The 7 Internal Monads are: Birth, Autonomy, Independence, Manifestation, Recreation, Comprehension, and Death. These may be called by different names through our various channels, but the basic information should remain consistent. Although each Rite of Passage is associated with various time frames represented by the ages of the Body, they are not specifically tied to those time frames. Different cultures and different societies and different Body Types will affect how the process of these Passages go. For certain cultures where life spans are only 20 years, vs other cultures where a lifespan may be 100 years, one can see how the Monads may play out differently. Those cultures and societies where life is more condensed tend to attract those who are working through Infant, Baby, and Young Levels, whereas Late Young, Mature and Older Souls tend toward cultures, societies, and bodies that emphasize length of life. We include in these differentiations the reference to “society” because social constructs, even within the same culture, may emphasize life at different paces, and thus have different time frames relative to the Passages. That being said, in general: Birth is obviously at Birth, where Autonomy is usually relative to the individual taking his or her first steps, and Independence is relative to an individual separating his or her identity and primary resources from the influences of his or her caretakers (parents); Manifestation is relative to an individual returning to a sense of innocence and personal meaning about the self and life; Recreation is relative to an individual freeing himself or herself from the momentum of “purpose” and shifts into an emphasis on “enjoying life,” or re-creating it; Comprehension is relative to the onset of whatever will end the life, and the individual’s ability to come to terms with his or her mortality; and Death, of course, is exiting the Physical Plane. Many of our students presume that Birth and Death are Internal Monads that are a given, but that is not accurate. The successful completion of Birth is indicated by “staying alive.” For the most part, this is marked by good health. If a body dies before the age of 3, it did not successfully complete the Birth Monad. The successful completion of Death is indicated by the impact one’s death has on those who remain physical. If those who remain are left devastated, deeply attached, and profoundly tied to the physical version of oneself, then one has not successfully “died.” The death, itself, is only the beginning, and the stages involved are done post-death, by working with those still incarnated in processing their grief. Completing all 7 Rites of Passage within a single lifetime takes practice, effort, and commitment to an extent that is often not available or an inclination of every Personality, so an Essence will remain within a single Level of Soul Age as long as it takes. Within a lifetime where the Personality does not complete an early Rite of Passage, such as, say, the 3rd Internal Monad of Independence, it means that this person has left that Internal Monad paused in the Negative Pole, and every Internal Monad attempted beyond that will be locked in the Negative Pole, as well. Using the baskets of oranges as an analogy, it would mean that no matter how hard that Personality tries to fill baskets 4, 5, and 6, they will only be able to fill them to the extent that basket 3 is filled. In cases such as this, which are not uncommon, it is possible to “go back” and fill the unfilled basket, or to complete the 3rd Internal Monad, freeing up the capacity to complete the next. This would mean, even if the Personality is in her 50s, that she can work through her issues related to Independence, self-reliance, and her relationships with Authority, as a means to then work on her 4th Internal Monad, and so on. In short, it is a valid and relevant statement that “it is never too late to have a happy childhood,” as an example for completing incomplete Passages. We wish to point out here that while our teaching can be understood and made useful at any age, it is not until the successful completion of the 4th Internal Monad that the full extent of its application can be comprehended. This is why you see so few fellow students among you, or even that you see so few interested in our teaching, in general; it is simply not very interesting or truly applicable to those who “do not know themselves.” This is not a judgment, but a matter of fact. For this teaching to have its full effect, one must be awake, and most who have not completed the 4th Internal Monad are still in some degree, if not completely, asleep. By “asleep” and “awake,” we simply mean the spectrum between self-absorption and self-awareness. Self-absorption, or being asleep, is marked by a preoccupation with the self, such as through defensiveness, self-indulgence, presentation, brooding, consuming, etc. And self-awareness, or being awake, is marked by, for example, valued sensitivity, right intuition, concentric compassion, enthusiastic curiosity, a kind presence, patient resonance to others, and no defenses or shields. Those are examples, but there are others, of course. We have covered Birth and Death in terms of successful or unsuccessful completion, and we will now quickly describe the other 5 Internal Monads in terms of the same. The 2nd Rite of Passage, which is Autonomy and is initiated by the capacity to walk on one’s own, is often tied to one’s sense of Confidence. To the degree that one is Confident is the degree to which this Internal Monad was completed. When we speak of “confidence” here, we are not speaking in terms of your being able to speak well in front of a crowd, but in terms how willing one is in trying anything at all that is unfamiliar. This is not a matter of trying what one has no interest in trying, but in anything unfamiliar to you that you may have even the slightest interest in trying. This would extend into even those areas one must do for oneself because it is known that it is Good Work, even when one does not want to do them. For instance, going to an interview for a job that is important to you, even as you hate the interview process. A successful 2nd Internal Monad would mean that you do it anyway, even as you acknowledge the discomfort. That is Confidence in this context. An unsuccessful completion of a 2nd Internal Monad is often marked by classic Co-dependence, the inability to do much of anything without a reference to someone else. It is the inability to walk on one’s own. We do not refer to those who have physical disabilities, but anyone, regardless of mobility. The 3rd Rite of Passage, which is Independence, is initiated by the process of separation of identity from one’s caretakers, and establishing the self as its own authority. The successful completion of the 3rd Internal Monad is marked by the capacity to provide for oneself. Providing for oneself does not mean isolating oneself as the only resource, but would include knowing when to ask for help, and how to receive that. The unsuccessful completion of this Internal Monad is marked by either having constant combat with anyone suggesting Authority, and/or resigning from the responsibility of caring for oneself. The 4th Internal Monad, or Rite of Passage, which is Manifestation, is initiated by one’s mid-life assessment as a means to determine the meaning of the life lived so far, and then calibrating the life to an updated course or path so that Essence may manifest. Part of that process and assessment means looking into the past as far back as childhood, and in that looking, finding all of the things that you determined have defined you, made you happy, that have fulfilled you as a child or teen, and then nurturing that same innocence in your life as an adult. A successful completion means truly liking who you are, and embracing the playfulness of your life as you move deeper into it as an embodiment of your Essence, or core Being. An incompleted 4th Internal Monad is often marked by an attempt to replicate the life that was once seen as so innocent, locking the person into a state that desperately seeks meaning, importance, and purpose. The 5th Internal Monad of Recreation is marked by a realization of relief from the need for purpose, meaning, and importance, but finds the emphasis being upon those little things that make the life worth living (on your terms). The life is literally “re-created” in a way that is a new paradigm, free from the burdens of navigation and direction, but entirely embracing of wandering, coasting, and “enjoying the view,” so to speak. The successful completion would often show up as a new enthusiasm for a layer of life that was once cluttered and clouded by over-eagerness and over-anticipation. There is a softness to the life in a way that was never experienced before, and a true joy in many things that would otherwise be dismissed. An incompleted 5th Rite of Passage might show up as bitterness, regret, anger, resentment, and disgust, sometimes concluding that life has no meaning or point, and therefore condemning anyone or anything to pointlessness and meaninglessness. And finally, the 6th Rite of Passage, Comprehension, is marked by the onset of that which will be the cause of death. This is the only Rite of Passage that can most-often be processed in a matter of seconds. A successful completion would show up as a surrender to the reality of mortality, and a full review of the life in a way that brings comprehension to the fact that one has lived and one is now dying. This can happen in a car crash, or in a long-term illness, etc. Time takes on a completely new dimension in this Passage. The incomplete Internal Monad here would show up as anything representing a rejection of mortality, ranging between resignation, apathy, to delusion, dementia, and denial. In instances such as a car crash, the individual may actually “re-live” the entire life in new ways that account for corrections of betrayals, missed opportunities, etc. before actually exiting. That experience can be a means of review, or as a means of denial. We will conclude here, then, in speaking about the 7 Internal Monads, and open the floor to the first 5 questions, due to time constraints. ****QUEUE IS OPEN**** We will respond to further questions after this transcript is posted in your “TLE FORUMS.” [Geraldine] Michael. I still don't understand how the “two lifetimes in one” works. If a Personality has to go through all 6 IMs in the same incarnation in order to reach the 7th — How does one get all six of those “oranges” in the basket by age 40 in order to do an early 7th? (such as AnnH). Or my son-in-law Brian Fisher who went through this by age 30. Especially since neither one would have been considered “all in positive poles” at those ages. How would one work with “those still incarnated in processing their grief,” if there is no grief? Would one's concurrents processing IMs help since we all started our incarnations at the same Soul Level? [MEntity] We did not elaborate fully into the “two lifetimes in one”, or the transiting of Soul Levels within a lifetime, because we had elaborated on this in other transcripts. However, we will try to clarify again here. If an Essence has 5 or more baskets full, so to speak, upon creating a new Personality, then that Personality is only tasked with the potential to fill those remaining baskets. However, to get to those baskets 5, 6, and 7, for example, the body and Personality must still fill baskets 1 through 4 in its own way in order to even get to the 5th basket. After baskets 1-4 have been filled multiple times by multiple Personalities over multiple lifetimes, then each subsequent lifetime/Personality has a potentially easier time fulfilling those same baskets. Although there are physical counterparts to each Monad, which is often associated with age time frames, we have also pointed out that they are not tied to those age time frames. Beyond the factors of culture and society as influences, we can also say that one's PSYCHOLOGICAL process is just as physical a counterpart as one's physical aging. Therefore, when one is transiting a Level within a lifetime, that Personality can quickly (by age standards) be Born, Walk, Gain Independence, Manifest Essence, and then begin the Recreation process, all by the end of one's teen age years. This is because while there are certain physical cues that are tied to the Passages, there are also Psychological cues, and these are just as, if not more, vital than the more obvious Physical cues. This means that rather than having a physical retirement/recreation due to age, it happens due to psyche, and rather than physically dying due to accident, illness, or suicide, there is a psychological “death” that then moves through a “birthing” process. Those who transit a Level within a lifetime are now throwing off the usual cues that one can more obviously see in terms of one “growing up,” so these Personalities can often seem more complicated, difficult, and lacking significant maturing processes that another person might show. They do not necessarily appear to be any wiser or more together than any other, and more often, actually, appear not to be particularly wise, and often quite scattered. This is because the psyche is not only developing at a different pace from the body, but by the time the body is older, then the psyche is reborn again in a way that is quite disorienting. This complex process is why this kind of transition is rare, except in Older Souls. Once the fragment in transition has filled the 7 baskets, then the life is marked with a new set of baskets to begin filling, which are rarely ever filled beyond the 4th basket in those kinds of lifetimes. [Maureen] What “happens” in between IMs – for example: Having successfully completed the 4th IM – one could whiz into the 5th or take a decade – If it takes a decade is it like being on a plateau or is it a mix between the 2 IMs ?? [MEntity] While one is “in” a Passage, there is a definite sense that there is living to do. When one is “between” Passages, there is a definite sense that there is work to do. We are using the term “living” here to describe the experience of submersion into the life that often feels like being underwater, then coming up for air, over and over. We use the term “work” here to describe the experience of finally being on land and moving your way over territories of relevance and meaning. For instance, during the 3rd Internal Monad, there may be waves of great angst, rebellion, and constant inner turmoil, mixed with homesickness, deep gratitude, and a sense of self emerging as one breaks away from the influences of parents. Upon completion of that Monad, then the business of income, maintaining an apartment, paying bills, etc., then comes into focus. It might be more appealing to describe the differences between being In and Between Monads as “living” and “learning,” as what was lived through the Passage is now put into practice before the next Passage. [Oscar] Hello Michael. Could you please elaborate a little about how exactly Body Type can affect the process? [MEntity] Active Body Types, such as Saturnine, Mercurial, Martial, and Solar tend to process Internal Monads “faster” than the Passive Body Types of Lunar, Jovial, and Venusian. The Active/Positive Body Types of Saturn and Solar being the “fastest” while the Passive/Negative of Lunar being the “slowest.” We speak of these in terms of “pure” Body Types, so it is wise to keep in mind that there are no “pure” Body Types, all having a mix of other energies, and influences. The reason for their “speed” of processing a Passage is relative to the Primary Glandular System that regulates experiences for that Body. For instance, the Anterior Pituitary and the Thymus tend to help the body process experiences far more “quickly” than that of the Pancreatic system. This is because the Anterior Pituitary, for instance, is a stimulus for all other glandular systems, and the Thymus regulates the overall health/immunity of all systems, so their being the primary influence is powerful in these Passages. Whereas the Pancreas is insular in its processes, even though they do ultimately affect the entire system. It is that insularity of the process of consumption and production of fuel that contributes to the slower processing of experiences for the body. [Karine] How can you “predict” when someone will enter a monad? For example, you told me that you think I will begin my 4th internal monad near the end of 2012. Do Essences plan in advance during the course of a life when a personality will enter the next monad? [MEntity] We can only see the same things that you can see in terms of Passages, though we may be able to see it more clearly. So when we can see a time frame for completion of a Monad, using the analogy of the baskets, we are basing this on how full the basket is, and the pace at which you have been filling it. We can then extrapolate from there. The same could be said for those that are slated to begin. We can look at the previous Passage and the factors that went into entering it, filling the basket, and exiting it, and how much time was spent between other Passages, proportionally speaking. That being said, yes, Essence will anticipate a time frame that “looks good” for entering a Passage, and we can see those notes, if they are there. In the end, whether we use calculations, or the notes in your records from Essence, it will always be the Personality that decides whether and when to enter into a Passage. So we may be very far off in our information in the end. [Bobby] In your presentation of the 7th IM, there seems to be far more to it than I realized. For instance, I didn’t realize that to transit it in the positive pole, if those left behind grieved terribly over your passing it could keep you from completing it in the positive. I had an aunt who lost a son and never seemed to get over it. Would that be an appropriate example of him finishing his 7th IM in the negative pole? Joey Williams was his name by the way, if that helps. [MEntity] It is not so much in the depth of the grieving, but in the length of time in grieving, and yes, to the extent that one has not helped to prepare loved ones and friends for one’s death, and to the extent that one lacks the ability to comfort those “left behind,” then the 7th Internal Monad is not completed. There will always be at least one lifetime/Personality who dies within a Level in a way that those who remain physical will fully grasp that that Personality had a full life, and that death was embraced without surprise or regret or terror. Because death is so difficult for even the oldest of souls to experience, it takes only one lifetime for this to happen as a means for the Level to be transitioned. And if one ponders the 7 Passages for a moment, it may become more obvious that one who has moved through each in a Positive Pole, may have generated a life and network of relationships that more easily comes to terms with that death. That is not to say that even the most successful of 7th Internal Monads would leave no one grieving. Grief is natural and important, and is a process of accepting a profound truth that replaces a previous truth. In the case of the fragment you mentioned as an example, we think that fragment is still working on completing that Monad, and remains in the process of support for the one who is grieving. Some fragments choose to remain in that process “as long as it takes.” We will conclude here. Good evening to each of you.

  5. From a private session on 4/21/2015 DianeHB: Tex would like to know why lack of sexual activity is a hallmark of Transcendental Souls. (Note: that was from the library article "Transcendental Soul Elaboration") MEntity: We should clarify that if we used that phrase “lack of sexual activity” it did not mean lack of sex or lack of sexual feelings. But the Transcendental Soul tends to truly grasp the nature of the Higher Moving Center and prefers to use that energy for social change. The Transcendental Soul will tend to find ways to satiate the lower energies involved, by surrounding himself or herself with stimulation that is invigorating, tantalizing, and provocative, much like stoking a fire. That fire then is used in other ways, but the “stoking” is not avoided. However, because there is still a Human Body involved, this can go terribly awry and into repression and fetishes and waves of indulgence. DianeHB: I pulled the phrase "lack of sexual activity" from an earlier transcript by Troy. This makes a lot of sense. MEntity: The life of Gandhi is a modern exploration of how sexual energy is understood (and misunderstood) by the Transcendental Soul. The divide between the demands and nature of the body vs. Entity can be a lifelong dance between satisfying the profane and fueling the sacred. DianeHB: I'll have to look into Gandhi's sex life. MEntity: The Old Soul already gets a glimpse of this as he or she manifests Essence and there is a confusion between the profundity of intimacy and the stimulation of the body. Intimacy often satisfies the nature of sexual energy, and is no longer necessary to express in terms of sexual stimulation. This does not remove the need and want for sexual stimulation, so it can be confusing. Many who seek intimacy learn to do so only through sexual stimulation, which is then presumed to equate intimacy, but it does not. For those who finally experience True Intimacy, it can be surprising how quickly the necessity for sexual stimulation drops in that relationship. Many see this as a sign of lacking intimacy and then proceed to destroy the very thing they wanted for so long, returning to the familiarity of stimulation. ### end of excerpt You may discuss this content via its original blog entry. 6. Excerpt from [Ask Michael: December 2015] VIP: Does diet have any effect on the ability to access the higher centers, or the ease with which, access to the higher centers can occur? (I understand that the higher moving center is designed to be easy to access as-is, so if it makes no difference with regard to that one, I would like to know about the other two higher centers.). [Michael Entity]: Accessing the Higher Centers is accessible to all under any and all circumstances. They are designed as accessible and functioning regardless of condition of the body or state of consciousness. They must function or the body dies. However, there is a difference between these Centers functioning in default, and when one consciously begins to access these for use as tools beyond their default. For most, and for many lifetimes, these Centers are only accessed consciously during extreme conditions, duress, and intense situations. Profound pain in the body, "heart," or "mind" can open one to these Centers in conscious ways. Profound pleasure in the body, "heart," and "mind" can open one to these Centers in conscious ways. Access through extremes of pain or pleasure are forms of intervention in the life, and are not only misunderstood and misinterpreted, but this kind of access can lead to addictions, escapism, fetishes, etc. Other ways that these Centers are accessed are through Laughter, Tears, and Happiness. When there is access through these, they can range in degrees of awareness and consciousness, from subconscious to full consciousness. The reason these Centers are so accessible in so many ways is because there is no interest in a design that withholds higher functioning from any individual based on their choices, behaviors, conditions, health, etc. With all of this being said, when one begins to seek understanding and use of these Centers in conscious ways, then the degree of conscious use and value can be dependent on several factors that hook into many elements of the life. In such cases, then diet becomes vital. We can speak of "diet" in broad terms here to include various ways in which one consumes as a means of "feeding" oneself. This can be food, relationships, entertainment, exercise, etc. For example, if one has compartmentalized one's food diet to the point of ignoring the impact it may have on health, other creatures, other people, and the planet, then that compartmentalizing affects how well one can access a Higher Center. If one is abusive in relationships, or abused, where one's confidence is fed, then one has limitations on his or her conscious use of a Higher Center. The equation is rather simple: The more conscious one is in various areas of the life where one seeks to feed oneself, the greater degree of conscious access one has to the Higher Centers.

  7. [Excerpt from Energy Report: January 2016] MEntity: This is a Server year. This means that sensitivity is going to run higher than usual and this can be met with recoil, reaction, and resentment, or met with impulses to help, to reach out, to care and nurture that which seems to be in most need at the moment. A Server year can feel overwhelming even when approached positively because it is a year where NEEDS come to the surface more than usual. Wants are set aside and Needs come to your attention. Your own Needs and the Needs of others. It is a good time for reviewing the Nine Needs that every person is responsible for upholding for himself or herself. Others can help in supporting or challenging those Needs, but only you can truly provide them for yourself. We will further discuss the Nine Needs with our students if this is requested. When there is a year in which Need is emphasized, it is important to consider your resources. If you cannot give, you cannot give. This is an important consideration. Give when you can, and give what you can, but know your limits. This limitation is not a shame, nor is it necessary to be enforced with defenses. It is simply honest that is important to communicate. When you need help, it is just as important to understand that not everyone can or will give. If you do not have responses to your needs around you, it okay to look elsewhere. It is okay to keep looking. It is okay to keep asking for the help. Keep in mind that if you find that responses are perpetually saying “no” or not responding, it may be that you are the one you need to ask and the one who needs to give. It is often the case that when one expects solutions personal needs to come from others, but finds that the asking for help pushes people further away, it can be a reflection that you are the one who is not doing the work of providing for your needs. This is not always the case, but is often the case. You are quite often your own best and immediate resource of help, support, and kindness. This is not to emphasize separation or isolation. It is a means of nurturing your own reserves and resources so that you can return to being a giver.

  8. [Excerpt from Kasia's POF session on June 21, 2021] Kasia: Hi Michael, I'd like to continue exploring the wounding we've covered over the last 3 sessions [...]. First, a kind of check-in. Where do you see me in terms of making progress healing this? I'm starting to see changes from my perspective, but I'd like to know what you see, as well. [...] MEntity: First, it may be helpful to understand that emotional and intellectual wounding works in ways that are similar to how physical wounds work. There are multiple layers in each, with some layers more of a priority for immediate care and others for longer term care. It is helpful to consider all that needs to be addressed, but there will always be a priority layer. Imagine your emotional or intellectual wounding in the same way that physical wounding heals. In the simplest of terms: Stop the bleeding, clean the wound, protect the wound, heal/recover from the wound. The layers we have described are specific wounds, but each wound/layer will have its 4 stages that are similar to any physical wounding: identify the wound (stop the bleeding), bring awareness to the wound (clean the wound), make choices and take actions that bring different/new experiences (protect the wound), and time (heal/recover). We clarify this breakdown because if you are going to address multiple wounds/next layers at once, or close together, you must consider these basic stages through which one must heal. It can be helpful for you to note where you are the process of healing in each of these layers. For example, Stage One tends to be quite demanding and distracting; Stage Two can be quite defensive and hypersensitive; Stage Three can be disorienting and even bring about a sense of numbness; Stage Four can bring impatience and eagerness for movement before one is actually ready. We think you are in Stage Four of layers where you have done work to heal. Eager to get to the next layer. ### end of excerpt You may discuss this content in Kasia's blog entry. 9. [Excerpt from Energy Report: February 2014] MEntity: The Goal of Growth is all about the process of bringing/creating/generating MEANING from your experiences. This is why it can seem so challenging and stretches the individuals who have this as a Goal in the Personality. It impels one to look beyond the superficial nature of an experience, relationship, event, and the self and into the greater value and point of those things. We know that many associate Growth with physical activity and challenges, but that is only one form of Growth. Growth is NOT an Action Goal. It is an Inspiration Goal. It has never been about Action, but because experience is most often cultivated by participation in the world and with people, it tends to lean toward experiences that involve Action. However, it is about the value and meaning that one extracts from that.

  10. [Excerpt from Energy Report: July 2016] Note: The description of the Attitude Energy may be useful in another year with the same Attitude, and may help explain the Attitude as a personal Overleaf. However, remember that this description is specific to the year and its circumstances. It MIGHT be possible to extrapolate a general meaning from this content ... and it might not. MEntity: JULY brings the move of emphasis directly into the Cynic Attitude. The Cynic Attitude in itself is not inherently unpleasant, but for those not familiar with it or are uncomfortable with contradiction, even the best of Cynic energy can feel inconvenient at best, but when Cynic is moving through the Negative Pole, Denigration, it can be an invisible, heavy weight that seems to strip the joy and life from everything and is exhausting. July begins with Cynic in the Negative Pole. This appears to be showing up as our students feeling a concerted effort to “stay positive,” to keep their vision intact, their ideals upheld, their sense of progress and joy sustained. It is likely not easy, and even if this evasion of this Negative Pole energy is successful, it is likely quite exhausting. Cynic energy is vital to the expansion and evolution of active intelligence and discernment when it is in the Positive Pole of Contradiction because pursuit of integrity and truth through questioning, challenging, and countering presumptions is healthy, but when Cynic energy moves through the Negative Pole it is the active use of intelligence to undermine or destroy integrity and truth. Denigration is countering and questioning and challenging for the sake of defending one’s perspective, not for expanding or evolving in one’s perspective. Denigration seeks to undermine, devalue, belittle, and destroy that which is questioned, rather than listen to answers or see the truth. What we are finding in patterns across July are many with even the best of intentions simply falling into Denigration, pursuing the takedown and destruction of that which is questionable rather than pursuing the understanding of that which is questionable. Cynic looks for ways to transform and transmute the questionable. When this is through Contradiction there is an understanding of oppositions so that resolution and change can come in beneficial ways. When transformation and transmutation comes through Denigration, it is without understanding of oppositions, and simply aims for the removal or destruction of the opposition.

  11. [Excerpt from Private Session originally posted on October 25, 2004. This session has not been re-posted to the current site for discussion.] [HeidiH] How can I become more confident? [MEntity] The key to your confidence can be found in the exploration of your ideas about Strength and Trust. At some point in your life you have decided two things: “strength can harm” and “trust must be earned”. Additionally, you have determined that “confidence” is the result of the combination of “strength” and “trust”. Being wary of both “strength” and “trust”, the result is your sensing a lack of “confidence”. Displays of strength and trust are as enticing to you as they are terrifying. You envy the confidence of others, yet you also condemn your own ability to express it. You diminish displaying your own levels of strength and trust because you never want to harm another person and you do not wish to invite potential harm, either. It is impossible for you NOT to have some sort of strength or trust in life, but you have eventually found ways of displaying your strength and trust in ways that are distorted or disguised. Your strength has been distorted into “endurance” and your skills of trust have been distorted into “invisibility”. Both qualities are valid and useful, but when combined for you, instead of experiencing confidence, you experience SEPARATION. The more separated you feel from others, the more you use endurance and invisibility, which, of course, perpetuates the cycle. The key, then, to your bringing more confidence into your expression is through PRESENCE. Being more present in the moment of your experiences may be an easier task to accomplish than trying to express your concepts of confidence. Being Present is also a quality of combining Strength and Trust. Instead of battling the issue of whether you are experiencing Confidence, you can approach a less-threatening concept of being Present, and still get the same results. In your case, being Present can be accomplished by randomly practicing Vividry, taking a class or course focused on speaking publicly, and exercising. Vividry is the practice of gently bringing to your conscious awareness exactly where you are at any moment. Feel your presence in space, see your hands, relax your face, tongue, shoulders, and notice the colors, sounds, temperature, and textures of a few moments. Experience the vivid awareness of those few moments and delight in the experience of being a part of your reality. Allow the vividry to bring a smile to your face. You too often disengage from your physical expression of your Being and condense your experiences into a small perspective that could be said to be limited to your facial region. In other words, it could be said that you are “living in your head.” Vividry will help bring your consciousness into all parts of your body, which is going to eventually shine as confidence. We would also suggest taking a course or class in speaking publicly, including considering classes in Improvisation. Learning how to organize thoughts, presentations, and spontaneous interactions within a safe group would greatly increase your ability to experience Presence and Confidence in daily life. And finally, we suggest that at your own pace, within a context that is interesting to you, we would suggest some form of physical routine of exercise, such as Yoga, Treadmill, Tai Chi, etc. Having these tangible approaches to being more Present will naturally provide you with the Confidence you wish to experience.

  12. From Evelin's Private Session, posted September 5 2013. Permission granted. QUESTION: Did I have any standing Karma with X? Most of our clashes seemed Chief Feature based, but at one point I suddenly felt this "dark cloud" descending, a feeling I have experienced once before when deciding to enter a situation that was probably karmic. MEntity: ... In this case, a Cynic was involved, and by its very nature, the Cynic’s philosophical outlook will unearth even the most remote issues of self-karma for all involved. It is a gift and a curse. In early soul ages, the emphasis can tend to focus on more tangible areas of the life, but in older ages, the emphasis moves into the less tangible, and often gets “under the skin,” if you will. A Cynic will tend to bring forth the “underside” of anything obvious, and when this is in the Positive Pole of Contradiction, it can still be challenging, but there is included with the contradiction a steadying force. Imagine that you have Cancer and you state that you are having a wonderful day today, but the Cynic reminds you that you must tend to the demands of your Cancer. It is not their fault that your wonderful day must include consideration for your health, but this Contradiction to your wonderful day is conveyed in a way that does not actively remove the quality of the wonderful day, but can actually add to your wonderful day by pointing out that your health must be tended to. This is pointed out, not only as a means to remind you that this is a valid underside that requires attention, but that to tend to it means being able to enjoy even more wonderful days. The Positive Cynic simply expands your awareness to include those points that are necessary for addressing. It might be said that Cynics are vital for helping to keep focus broad enough so that it includes the steps that are being taken on a path, even as one’s head is in the clouds, or admiring the scenery, so to speak. For the person with Cancer whose Cynic friend helped to maintain treatments so that life is lived to its fullest, this can be experienced as a difficult and necessary, but beautiful gift. The Cynic in the Negative Pole tends to not only bring to the surface that which is not immediately obvious, but often to the detriment of the obvious. This Cynic would not just point out that your Cancer needs to be included as part of your wonderful day, but that your wonderful day is actually not wonderful because you have Cancer. This is Denigration. The intentional or unintentional undermining of the obvious or the positive as a means to bring others into the same space as the Cynic. When the Cynic refuses to address his or her own underside, issues, and “Cancers,” or denies there is any in the first place, they can tend to force other’s undersides, issues, and “Cancers” info focus so as to sustain distraction from their own. It is no longer about the inclusion of that which is not as apparent, but an exclusive emphasis and insistence on that which is not apparent. ... When the Cynic effect is in the Positive Pole, these issues brought to the surface are valid, even if unpleasant, but if the effects of the Cynic in the Negative Pole will bring up useless and unnecessary issues that exist only when in combination with that Cynic and have no relevance outside of that relationship. In this case, we see that much of the scenario fell into the latter category.

  13. [Excerpt from Ask Michael: November 2014] Brian: Hi Michael. How can one create an effective anchor to ground themselves during anxiety or stress? MEntity: There are two ways to do so, Brian: Internally and/or externally. It would always do one well to nurture the internal grounding, first, considering that external forms are not always accessible, but it is helpful to identify external forces for grounding that one can use for support. Internal grounding methods to counter stress and anxiety would vary from individual to individual, but one can turn to the Attitude for help in determining methods for help with anxiety and stress. When one is anxious or stressed, it is often a result of falling into the negative pole of one's Attitude. The key to grounding for recovery from that stress and anxiety can come from the positive pole of the partner Attitude. ... For example, the Spiritualist has fallen into BELIEF. Anxiety can come from deciding what is true over knowing what is true. When one decides what is true without knowing what is true, it can be quite precarious in terms of anxiety and stress. To help the person in BELIEF to move back into VERIFICATION, the use of TRANQUILITY (the positive pole of Stoic) can be key. Internal Tranquility can come in the form of conscious breath, stopping all action, closing the eyes, and visualizing flying or floating. External Tranquility can come in the form of a bath, a conscious shower, with the flow of water moving over the body coming into focus to help dissolve the hardened beliefs that are causing stress. Then the Spiritualist can ask himself or herself again, "is this really true, or do I just think it is?" From that grounded space, Verification can come. In a more dedicated format, we can go through all of the Attitudes to offer suggestions, but this is the general idea. Each of you can come up with creative ways to exemplify what it would mean for you to internally and externally use the Positive Pole of the partner Attitude as a suggestion for how to ground yourself from stress and anxiety. Look at that partner Positive Pole and ask yourself what it would mean for that to be implemented internally and externally. We trust your creative ideas would help you to find what works for you.

  14. [Excerpt from Energy Report: March 2013] MEntity: If you are experiencing the positive pole of Flow, you would tend to feel as if you have plenty of time, that your pace is comfortable, and that obstacles can be navigated. Freedom (the positive pole) does not mean easy, but it does tend to bring a confidence that allows for more graceful navigation. If you are experiencing the negative pole of Flow, you may find that you feel a nagging pull in a direction that you might wish to ignore, but that you know is impending as an obligation, or that you are being pulled in a direction that you resent having to negotiate, or that you have begun to invest in as deep a distraction as possible from the direction you seem to be moving. ... The flow of one’s life is not an imposition, but a culmination of choices and actions that have generated a momentum. Sometimes the long-term results of long-term choices can reveal some difficult or unappealing directions, but these can be altered if you are present and steering your way. You may not be able to reverse the flow, but you can alter that flow.

  15. [Excerpt from CF Report received on December 3, 2014; shared with permission] MEntity: First, we will discuss the Primary Chief Feature: Arrogance. Your Primary Chief Feature describes how one protects oneself "from the world," so to speak. It is often the most visible of the Chief Features, and is used as a defensive front/persona against any threats "from the world." Because the Goal of the Personality tends to encompass how one's actions interact with the world, the Primary Chief Feature affects the Goal. So the Primary Chief Feature describes your obstacles to being effective in both the world and in reaching your Goal. ... Arrogance is the means that one decides upon when it is determined that "the world" is looking too closely at you, or that you were exposed to the world in some way that threatened your trust in vulnerability. Arrogance often goes hand in hand with Acceptance because of the inherent nature of the Goal of Acceptance. Acceptance is the goal of second, third, and fourth (or more) chances as a way to try to accept someone, or as a way to convince someone that you are acceptable. This vulnerability is fueled by a form of innocence for a long time, but if that vulnerability is betrayed or brings too much attention to you in a way that leaves you exposed, the protection against vulnerability begins to build. For those in Acceptance with Arrogance, the shift tends to move away from BEING Accepted, to being Accepting. ... For those in Acceptance, the capacity to see everything is high, but this is not a skill many have. So it is easy to begin to show others only what you choose to show them. Arrogance then begins to make an art of appearing as personable and open as possible so that everyone thinks there is nothing being hidden. But for those in Arrogance, there is always something hidden, and it is a dark secret among those in Arrogance that they are just waiting for someone to see past the facades and into the dark. This is when they "know" they might finally be loved. But even when those in Arrogance are finally seen, there is defense is so entrenched that the love is not felt. This is most often seen in if there are symptoms where compliments are dismissed or shrugged off as if they are pandering or misguided social gestures. Arrogance/Acceptance learns how to keep others at a distance by turning the attention back onto others with kindness, compliments, or help, so any gestures of this nature in their own direction are determined to be insincere. Eventually, Arrogance/Acceptance decides that only he or she truly knows how to love and to accept others, but that others will never truly know how to love and accept them. For the older soul, this is how Vanity, the Negative Pole shows up. "I am better at loving than you are." A carefully orchestrated facade is constantly maneuvered between the self and the world and then it is wondered why no one truly sees you. When Arrogance moves into the positive pole of Pride, this often shows up for the older soul in his or her appearance. There is a certain amount of investment in taking care of the self so that it is presentable. For those in Arrogance, as soon as there is any streak of time when interactions decline, appearance, self-care, hygiene, clothing choices, etc., all begin to lose significance. Only if one is being seen, even if superficially, do these things matter anymore. ... For those in Arrogance as primary chief feature, it can be helpful to GET OUT OF THE HOUSE - go be around people; go do something, and better yet, interact with people. This is not the same thing as tolerating people and being superficial, but actually being a part of a group who shares interests, hobbies, goals, etc. Let this idea of "get out of the house" extend into "house" meaning anything into which you find yourself hiding. For example, it may mean "get out of your skin" or "get out from behind your children" or "get out of your routines." Anything that actively exposes you to the world again in a way that you choose. Another way that you can help transform Arrogance is to LET PEOPLE LIKE YOU. By this we mean that you actively embrace every kind gesture sent your way, regardless of its depth. If someone smiles at you, let that in. If someone thanks you, let that in. And, of course, anything deeper in meaning, let that in, as well. And, finally, for those in Arrogance/Acceptance, this one can be the most painful and difficult aspect to accept and transform as a way to move up and out of Arrogance: STOP BEING BETTER THAN THE WORLD We say that in a tongue-in-cheek way, but it is true that many in Arrogance, particularly in Arrogance/Acceptance, sense that they are simply not a part of the world, that they are simply enduring it, and that they are better than most. For the older soul, this does not show up in the same way that it shows up for younger souls. In younger souls, this shows up as blatantly self-indulgent and entitled, over-confident, offensive, etc. But for the older soul, this shows up as "why can't you see what I see" and "people are stupid" or "the world has gone insane" or "I guess I will do all of the loving, thinking, and feeling that others don't seem to be able to do" etc. So if similar thoughts or words pass through you, stop for a moment and put yourself back into the world, back into the picture, and embrace that you are a PART of the world, not above it or beyond it. This may seem a random exercise, but it can truly help one to make more effective choices rather than to leave the self dismissing any effort because it might not matter. ### end of excerpt This content may be discussed in the blog entry describing this report: Chief Features: Arrogance & Martyrdom.

  16. Excerpt from a private session originally posted on November 15, 2013. Note: This session describes sliding into the use of Reserve Mode for a person with Observation Mode. It may also be useful for someone who has Reserve Mode. MEntity: What you would want to do to break this pattern is to move into the Positive Pole of RESERVE MODE. This may seem ironic, since you would like to unleash and experience your Passion, but it must be understood that your Passion is actually not gone, but simply unleashed into directions fulfilling fears, worries, concerns, etc. To use the Positive Pole of Restraint, it would mean returning yourself to a sense of control. In this case, "control" would mean "choice." You would want to consider that you have a choice in how you relate, how you move into relationships, not just with people, but with intentions, goals, directions, etc. If you find yourself feeling isolated, worried, lacking in passion, you have probably forgotten that you have a choice in how you relate. This awareness can help you to then CHOOSE to give more. CHOOSE to receive. CHOOSE to take a risk. CHOOSE to explore. CHOOSE to rest. CHOOSE to recover. Etc. All of the dynamic between you and Giving/Receiving must be nurtured by choice. Not simply sitting around and waiting, hoping for surprise hits of inspiration. The Restraint can help you to even choose your feelings. ### end of excerpt You may discuss this content in Ingun's original post. See Using +Restraint of Reserve Mode.

  17. [Excerpt from OMW: Equality in Relationships] MEntity: As Acceptance and Discrimination are on the Truth Axis of the Overleaf System, these Goals are an aim toward honesty and integrity. The "truth" is often nuanced, so it is not necessary to be conclusive in your Yes, or your No, but to be clear where you can say Yes, and where you can say No. The key would be in whether it is Truthful. As Acceptance and Discrimination are Expression Axis Goals, this would also require communication in some way. You cannot presume that another will "get you," or that they "should know." More than any other Goals, these two need to EXPRESS, put into form, the truth that is part of their Goal. The more defensive and reactionary, the less one is being honest. When one is honest, there is a peacefulness, even if awkwardness, about the decision to say No or Yes, because it is the truth. For Discrimination, the swing of extremes tend to be reversed so that the life starts with many decisions already having been made for the fragment. Discrimination is the process of refining one's capacity to choose, and this could translate into learning to say with integrity and honesty, NO. Those in Discrimination will often start with a great deal of NO around them, or simply find ways of avoiding saying YES. There is no Sophistication to their process of choosing, but, instead will simply inherit Rejection, find Rejection from others, or Reject all but a very slim sliver of existence. This is the embrace of NO without any integrity or honesty, no Truth. Eventually this swings to the extreme of having to be in situations where one now realizes how often one must say YES in order to truly mean NO. Again, this requires honesty and communication. To simplify and be more specific to Relating: For those in Acceptance, one is learning to bring kindness and acceptance to your communication when saying No, and to rise beyond ingratiation and obligation when saying Yes. For those in Discrimination, one is learning to bring clarity and refinement to one's communication when saying Yes, while rising above rejection and reaction when saying No.

  18. [Excerpt from Michael Speaks: October 2005] [kittlekats41] I would like to know if fragments who are in the same entity and share all of the same casting information except are on three different ‘sides’ have any special connection or relationship, and how that might manifest? [MEntity] There are variations of visualizations for how an entity may be “constructed,” and while the tubular pyramid is popular so as to provide the illusion of “sides,” the sphere is more accurate. We mention this because the connections among fragments within an entity happen in many “directions,” most often creating a star-like pattern radiating out from that position. [kittlekats41] radiating like a Moravian type star? [MEntity] The “Moravian star” image is valid, though if one were to actually “see” the connections among fragments within an entity, the “star-like” image might seem more like a synapsis, or spark; much like what is depicted in animations describing the process of the brain “thinking.” The triangular tube is helpful in one form of visualization, so we will offer another simplistic visual for the sake of answering your question. Providing Entity Structure visuals is quite complicated to convey without actual visuals, but for the sake of answering you within this forum, we will remain with the triangular tube. A “classic” entity will then have 3 groups of 343 (hence, the triangular “sides” often portrayed by our channels; 3 sides of 343). It could then be said that PROPORTIONALLY speaking, the positions within one group of 343 is “connected” to each of the “same” positions within each group/side of 343. [kittlekats41] that is the basis of my question, yes [MEntity] The bonding factor among those sharing “casting” is based on the shared emphasis of that casting position. A fragment who is within a Server Greater Cadence (ONE), Sage Cadence (Column FIVE), Scholar Position (FOUR) on one “side” will share the emphasis of those three coordinates with the fragments on the other two “sides.” Each fragment within that tri-bond would exemplify one facet of manifestation of the same qualities/influences described by the specific coordinate points. In other words, one fragment would exemplify the TRUTH/Expression aspect, another would exemplify the LOVE/Inspiration, and the other would exemplify the ENERGY (beauty)/Action aspect. The “tri-bond” could be described as the most karmic bond one shares within one’s entity. Entities grow and morph through experiences based on the tri-bonds among these shared coordinates throughout the entity more than any other. It should be noted that an entire element of our teaching has not been accessed, though it is from your question that it will come forth.

  20. [Excerpt from Michael Speaks: November 2002] [oldwarrior] When the God/”god” Yahweh/Jehovah is discussed in the bible does this name refer to a historical, flesh and blood person? A being from another planet or solar system perhaps? [M_Entity] In most cases, this is an individual, yet mostly based on what would today, in your culture, be called an “urban legend.” This is why there are so many conflicting accounts of visual contact with this “individual.” There was a valid individual to which most of the stories referred, and yes, the individual was not of Earth. [oldwarrior] what species does Yahweh represent? [M_Entity] This “god” has been an influence in many times and places and while the stories conveyed are based in the understandings of the time, the species being spoken of are the same in most cases. This would be the species most notably called “big foot,” “Sasquatch,” or “Yeti.” Only in recent history has the chance been taken to be physically seen. Previous to this, most contact was interpreted as light, or glowing. This was due to the ability of that species to generate a telepathic block to visual interpretation of them. This need was seen to be important as the body types of this species tends to contradict the ideas of Humans as to what is civilized.

  21. [Excerpt from: Michael Speaks: December 2001] [Dewliet] Hi Michael. Would you please discuss the concept of “missing” other people (i.e. “longing for”) as it relates to overleaves, soul age, etc.? I seem to have kind of an “out of sight, out of mind” attitude and never really “miss” anyone, no matter how much I love them — this goes for my husband and kids, parents, everybody. I was wondering if this is likely a function of overleaves or some combination of CF and false personality. [M_Entity] This is a particular trait of Artisans. “Missing” people whom you know within a lifetime can be a trait anyone can develop in their varying degrees of attachment, but Artisans tend to be the least likely to attach to an individual identity. Artisans, however, can be the most likely to have a feeling of “missing something” that cannot be defined, which is, of course, linked to their existence at the “edge” of creation and their innate knowing that all are “one.” This can lead to all kinds of fantastical and invalid ideas about who they are or are not “connected” to. This is not to say Artisans do not get attached to people, but usually they will choose a single individual, if any at all, and that person will not have to be “missed” because that Artisan would die before separating from them. We say that metaphorically, of course. The Overleaves themselves are not inherently geared toward or away from attachment, except in how they manifest the Chief Features and create or balance Karma.

  22. [Excerpt from Michael Speaks: June 2008] [Question] I see a lot of folks who have bad dreams in my work and have found that while interpretation can be useful, people often find relief just by imagining a better ending for the dream. I don’t remember where I learned that (maybe from you?). Anyway it seems to bring relief from nightmares. What is the mechanism by which this works? is it just that I say it will and people believe me? Or is it something astral? or simply the subconscious mind doing its thing? All that seems to be required is a good imagination and being in “alpha” waves. [Michael Entity] There is a level of dreaming that is primarily symbolic and these dreams are where issues from the waking life are being processed or examined. It does not require a fragment to be asleep for those symbols to be meaningful, but the symbols that are recalled from the dream are often the most directly-significant to the issues. For most fragments, the dream state can help resolve these issues being played out symbolically. This symbolic level of dreaming is very similar to how fragments experience and interact on the Astral Plane anyway, but for those fragments who have not resolved the issues being played out in symbolic dreaming, then bringing in the consciousness of the waking personality can help break the worrying cycle that has led to what some describe as “nightmares.” This method of resolution is a natural strength for most fragments, which is why it so naturally occurs during sleep where the Personality dissolves to its default nature of strengths and weaknesses. Nearly all fragments assign symbolism to emotional, intellectual, spiritual, and physical elements of the life, though this symbolism is often lost to the conscious personality (waking state). When you, QUESTIONER, direct a fragment to use those symbols and experiences from the dream in a conscious way to bring about a break in the cycle and to direct toward resolution, it is not only resolving the issue in many ways, but bringing about an alignment between the conscious and subconscious selves. This same method can be used for those who are not having nightmares or remembering dreams: Examining an issue within the waking state and breaking it down into symbolism, then manipulating those symbols into a way that brings about a sense of direction, closure, or change can help implement those very things in the reality. For instance, a fragment may be feeling obstacles or patterns that keep him or her locked into poverty or survival modes. This fragment might choose a symbol to represent himself and the obstacles or patterns, adding in a current idea of a solution, and manipulate these into a way that displays a symbolic solution. Keeping that symbolic sense of solution at hand, in mind, heart, or even visually depicted (drawn out), can help to break the current symbolic pattern. [Comment] : cool! bypasses the intellect setting up barriers I would think [Michael Entity] Your assessment is valid, for it is the Intellect that often keeps movement locked into an undesirable pattern. This is by no means true in all situations, but in many, it is. [Question] Could you give an example of this conscious working with symbols such as the poverty or survival mode idea? [Michael Entity] Questioner, the symbolism would have to be specific to the individual, so our example will not be universal. For instance, one example might be a CAT to represent the individual, a BALL INSIDE A CIRCULAR TUBED TRACK with just a bit of a slit along the inside ring of the tube for reaching at the ball, to represent the pattern/obstacle. The current situation has the cat swatting at the ball over and over and often in a frenzy while the ball is forever locked inside that circular track. No amount of swatting or maneuvering is going to change this ball’s circular roll within the tubed track. This person might then change the pattern by realizing that the symbolic pattern of the ball in the track means that everything about what the cat is doing is never going to get anywhere beyond chasing current ideas, actions, and feelings in circles. This situation would either require intervention (maybe a human to come along and break open the track to get to the ball) or to simply walk away to a completely new adventure. For the sake of this example, it might seem to be the most directly implementable action to simply walk away from the current ideas and actions. This person might then imagine the cat walking away wistfully and finding a small tree with accessible branches bearing dollar bills, all dangling in the wind. The cat is seen as having an hilarious and playful time jumping and swatting at the branches and knocking down the dollar bills into a pile. This person, then, might keep that image in mind when he or she begins to feel trapped again within patterns that are obviously not working so that he or she can be open to other, more accessible, inputs and possibilities within the reality. Keep in mind that these symbolic plays are NOT the solution in themselves, but are symbolic shifts toward internal solutions or breaks from patterns in how one is perceiving and interpreting reality, which is then a powerful step toward finding and creating external “real life” solutions and breaks. We would also suggest examining why this person might have chosen himself to be symbolized by a CAT, looking at all that a cat means to that person and applying that insight as a way to discover how he or she sees the self in relation to the issue. We will point out here that this topic could be an entire discussion in itself and one that might be worth examining in the future.

  23. [Excerpt from Michael Speaks: December 2009] [Question] You’ve discussed “templates,” and in an answer to me, you said, “Once that flexible template is in place, any Entity or Cadre can “play” the role for any group or individual as a means to teach, giving rise to a multitude of variations.” You said you’ve played a role as both Ra and the Delphi Oracle. Are you using a template or playing a role when you work through channels at this time in your teaching history? [Michael Entity] We no longer have to play roles or use templates, except through those channels who wish to speak on our behalf, instead of allowing us to speak for ourselves. We do not mind, though. In those cases, it could be said that we are, in fact, using a template, but not in the sense that we were speaking about in your quote of us from a previous exchange. Our “voice” is just as valid among those channels who speak on our behalf, when the speaking is reflective of our teaching. [Question] How would you speak for yourself? What would that be like? [Michael Entity] When it is “our voice” vs the voice of the channel on our behalf, there is little discrepancy from the consistent build of our teaching, especially in a way that would identify a channel as unique to that discrepancy for any great length of time. There will always be new additions to our teaching in a way that only one or two channels deliver initially, but the valid additions propagate. This does not mean that those discrepancies are not valid as their own teaching, or that they are in conflict with our teaching, but it is one of the ways for discerning the authenticity of our “voice,” if that is of interest to a student. [Question] so is it just personal preference when we think something “sounds” more like you? [Michael Entity] How we “sound” is far less important than what is claimed that we are saying. We do have a kind of “check list” for validation of our voice through a channel that any student can use for navigating the various channels, regardless of what we “sound” like. We will include this in the final transcript for this chat. This check list would be one that does NOT reflect the validity of the information that a channel is conveying, as the information may have validity of its own regardless of it’s consistency or lack of consistency with our evolving teaching, but only as a means to discern the proximity and clarity of contact with us and our intentions. Navigating the validity of channels and their proximity and clarity of contact with us can be complicated; we have “channels” who actually do not channel us but who speak consistently and accurately on our behalf, and we have channels who work directly with us who distort the information to such a degree that this information only serves to distract from our teaching. The exploration of such topics as this can be “dangerous” territory for some, and it is not an exploration that can be undertaken accurately without a high level of intellectual and emotional maturity, as it can easily prompt the younger imprinting of hierarchy, competition, and conflict. When we say that it can be “dangerous territory,” we are not speaking in terms of caution or concern, because with or without our suggestions for validation, the younger imprinting will find its ways into our circles of students. We were merely speaking to the concern that some may have about any process for validating the authenticity of a channel if one were to be in place. There is great fear in that regard, though our students will eventually find it to be an important, and non-threatening process, at some point when the younger imprinting is shed. In other parallels where we work with you, the process of validation is as important and as uncomplicated as validating a surgeon’s claims. Without the process of validation, the door is wide open for us to work with a wide swath of students and non-students, but it minimizes much of the potential for actual learning. Without the process of validation there is also a consistent division nurtured among the various channels as certain groups form around the discrepancies that are unique to a channel, which then undermines much of the point of our teaching. Validation is vital on many levels, but only for those who choose for that to be a relevant ingredient in their process of learning and discerning. Many have not considered the possibilities beyond the current courtesies that increase such variations and gaps among the channels. A BASIC CHECKLIST for validating the clarity, consistency, and presence of Michael through a person claiming to channel Michael, regardless of the “voice” being used: We will never tell you what to do. We will never predict. We will never speak to you in ways that only seek to comfort you. We do not use affectionate language as a means of socializing, or as a means to appeal to you. We will never shame you. We will never do the work of your life for you. We teach a philosophy that naturally encourages study and practice, if that philosophy is going to be valid, but it will not do the work of your life for you, or make your life easier. Only your study and implementation of the teaching can do such a thing. We refer to Past Lives as a means to increase your capacity for choice in the current life, but never as a means to simply explain away your conditions and experiences. We will never teach that your current life is a result of, or an imposition from, your Past Lives, but that your most relevant Past Lives are because of your current life choices. Our teaching is an evolving body that builds upon itself, but does not replace or displace itself. We do expand upon concepts that are often previously conveyed or interpreted as concluded, but this expansion is not a replacement or displacement, and will only add dimension that is consistent to the evolution. When we introduce a new aspect of our teaching, it propagates among our channels and does not become unique to any one channel for any great length of time. We do not make sensational, urgent, or conditional announcements. We do not do healing, or “energy work,” as this is a form of interference and potential karma. We do not work with any other entity in any way as any means to communicate or convey our teaching. We come to all who ask, but this does not mean we are heard, understood, or clearly communicated. We come to all who ask, but this does not mean that we come through any channel who claims he or she is channeling us. We and our teaching cannot be misrepresented because it is either us and our teaching, or it is not; we and the teaching are either heard clearly, or not. We will always trust that you will hear what you most need or want to hear. We will never restrict our communication to only what you want to hear, and we will never impose upon you what we see as your needing to hear. We cannot access private information about any fragment. Private information in the Akashic Records is as private as the individual Personality deems it to be, until that Personality deems it otherwise. Individual Personalities will always be the authority over their own information. Overleaves are not private information. Accessing the Akashic Records is part of our study, and your questions help us in that process. You cannot ask your questions, or for Overleaves, too many times. We do not evade or avoid questions that seek to help a student in a process of validation. We do not require questionnaires, birth information, or photographs as a means to access your Overleaves; that is a tool for the channel, not for us. Our channels are never displaced by us, but only merge with us as a means of communicating for us. There will always be a percentage of consciousness of the channel contributing to even the clearest of information, accurately or inaccurately. Everything we teach extends from the premise that every fragment carries the primary tool of Choice. We will always emphasize the tool of Choice as your most empowering tool. We state that “all is choice,” but this does not preclude the responsibility of learning how to choose in ways that contribute to you and your species evolution. We make the statement that “all is choice” as a fact of existence, not as a statement of permission. We are not out to save the world, have no interest in recruiting students, and do not find it necessary to alter our teachings in a way that allows for consumption by the masses. We do not expect you to take this check list at face value, but we offer it as a means to bring to light the patterns of consistency that establish the strength of our proximity to you through a channel, keeping in mind that the lack of proximity means only a lack of proximity. It does not have any bearing on the validity, or lack of validity, of a channel’s teaching or his or her interpretation of our teaching.

  24. [Excerpt from Michael Speaks: November 2013] [HunterG] Hello Michael, I know you have said listening to music can be a direct link to essence. My question is "What is the interaction with essence in the context of CREATING music?" Because not much has been said in that regard. [MEntity] The process of creating music is often the process of manifesting Essence. It is a bringing of the language of the Astral Plane into form. All music is an extension of the Astral Plane. This could be said of any Matter, actually, but music is one of the more fluid and concise extensions. Different kinds of music extend from different levels of the Astral Plane, but all of it is an extension of this Plane. This includes the "music" of non-sentient species, as well. [HunterG] Would there be a way to differentiate the different kinds of music? [MEntity] Yes. Think of the Astral Plane as something like an Emotional Center with all of its Parts. The Moving Part would be that which encourages movement/action. The Higher Moving would be that which encourages resonance/Beauty. The Intellectual Part would be that which brings Expression, such as song, lyrics, etc., while the Higher Intellectual would be along the lines of choral, or philosophical/Truth explorations in word, and the Emotional Part would be that which soothes and calms, while the Higher Emotional Part might bring healing/Loving. Music is not one or the other of these, but often a mix of at least 2 or 3.

  25. Originally posted by Troy on 7/20/09, based on channeling posted on Yahoo list on June 17, 2001. This topic came up in our recent chat on July 13, 2009, and Michael mentioned that I would include a copy of some information about the 4th Internal Monad. This was channeled YEARS ago, so please be lenient with it. I think I need to go through an update some phrasing and grammar to match my own growth and clarity in channeling, but the gist is there. Enjoy! 4th Internal Monad +self-realization -acquiescence MICHAEL: The Fourth Internal Monad is the personal measurement between what was “planned” for the lifetime and what has actually been accomplished to date, and what might now be accomplished based on momentum from the current position within the life. This is where the Personality and Essence become “permanently” aligned or not. The Essence is either allowed freedom of manifestation or it is rejected as a source. To make simple sense of this Monad, it is the “regaining of innocence”. This is where you integrate the childish aspects of you into the adult version of your life as you have become. If major changes are to be a part of the transition to a “smoother” life, these changes can be drastic and threatening to the Personality as judgment may spring forth that its own decisions from the past were “mistakes”. In reality, the decisions were not mistakes; they were simply experiences. These experiences, however harshly judged, have led you to a place of potential self-realization. It is your choice to co-create the changes (the positive passage through the Monad), or to resign yourself to being overwhelmed (negative passage). If this Monad can be seen as an opportunity to free the “child within”, then much is gained in your understanding of how to remain in the positive aspects of the passage. The hallmark of positive passage through this Monad is in freeing yourself from what you think you SHOULD do and, instead, discovering what you love to do, in terms of external reality fulfillment. We remind you that you WILL move through the entire spectrum of the Monad, Positive Poles and Negative Poles, as you progress. It is as necessary as breathing "in" and "out". Reminding yourself that the point of the negative pole is a means to “look at” what you might want to change, upgrade, or accept, will do much in freeing you from severe reactions and Chief Feature "tricks". Those of you who have not completed the 3rd Internal Monad successfully (from the Positive Poles), you may find yourselves having to “go back” to the struggle of learning psychological independence before you can move on. The 3rd Internal Monad deals with the fragment comprehending their independence from the source that supported them through the first part of their life. It is not whether a fragment still depends on their source or not, it is simply whether they recognize they are not defined by that source. A person who would not pass completely through a stage within a Monad will live within that frame of reference for the remainder of the lifetime. Incompleteness, or Negative Pole completion through Monad 4 would find the person living in relentless self-examination and criticism of their choices, possibly reverting to the past as a source of blame for their behavior. This fragment will always feel unfulfilled. We remind you that this information is shared as a map, not as another form of fear to be used against the self. If you are driving through a passage up a mountain-side and we would note that to certain routes would give your more challenge or diversion from the destination, this would not take from the absolute choices that you have. It is always possible to complete a Monad in the Positive Poles from any point within the life. You are never trapped beyond your willingness to progress. Here, then, are the seven stages of this Monad: Stage 1: INITIATION +enthusiasm -indifference Stage 1: This stage is hardly noticeable since you have only just placed your consciousness into the new context. This stage relates to the Instinctive Center, therefore “kicking in” the Monad without the individual being particularly conscious of this. Indications of the initial stage are usually marked by enthusiasm and anticipation. A simple delight in your potential future or accomplishments. Since this is simply a technical reference, and not really measurable enough to recognize, we suggest using the signs of the Second Stage as a starting point, possibly “working back” to a point where you might have seen the initial stages begin to manifest. Most will find there was a point when there was either a sudden enthusiasm that “something” was different, or a definitive point wherein the fragment feels further removed from its own life. This Stage, then, evaluates your sense of Trust. Stage 2: INTROSPECTION +awareness -brooding Stage 2: This stage is heavily marked by dread, anxiety, and intense Introspection. Depending on your resistance and your Overleaves, you may experience anything from a realization of your personal worth and a positive realization of your life's impact, or virtual self-implosion and self-degradation. Different cultures will respond to this Stage depending on parental upbringing and definitions of Authority. This is an introspective stage in the context of a Monad to evaluate accomplishments and plans, so there may be a processing of a Scary Parent or issues with Authority you have carried around being belittled for your “mistakes”, decisions and choices and expression. In that processing, you may experience a new sense of connection to “something” more like a Supportive Parent or Authority from within to gently nudge and concur with you through the life. This Stage evaluates your perceptions of Authority and your reaction to your sense of self-importance and self-value. Stage 2 brings up energy from the Emotional Center. Stage 3: REALIZATION +freedom -separation This Intellectually-centered Stage begins to release the ideas of the past as a source for the future. New ideas and identities will emerge here. Most realizations will be reserved for inner exploration, but, nonetheless, a change has taken place in how the individual views its expression as a part of a larger picture. On the more expansive side, one knows what must begin to be done, and starts to anticipate a general plan, not always with clarity, but with a certainty that “something must be done”. On the more constricting side, one begins to pull back from the future and “hide within”, or away from external reflections. This stage evaluates your perception of Responsibility. This Stage usually lasts the longest, especially in the Fourth Internal Monad, as you probe your beliefs. Stage 4: MANIFESTATION +purpose -otiose This Stage brings energy out through the Moving Center as you begin now to express to yourself, and others, more confidently what/who you are. In the context of the Fourth Monad, it is where you begin doing or, at least, pursuing/discovering what you are pulled to do as a reflection of your “contribution” and original Tasks. Successful movement through this is seen as a comfortable expression of your daily activities and endeavors. Resisting this Stage and remaining here would result in sluggishness, ineffective portrayals of self, and sometimes rage/anger in place of empowerment. This stage explores your concepts of Purpose. Stage 5: CONTENTMENT +satisfaction -contention Finally you begin to feel/see some satisfaction from your progress through the Internal Monad. In the context of the Fourth Internal Monad, whether you have completed or accomplished a Task becomes irrelevant against the contentment of what you choose to do. In this Stage, you realize the amount of density you have been containing and you begin to “lighten up” about your movement. In the positive pole you will see personal happiness now becoming a factor in your decisions, and in this Fourth Monad, you've released treasured securities found in the oppressive/elusive “big plan or PURPOSE”, and find this more appropriate guide. Otherwise, the negative pole finds an individual always at odds with their environment, always in a state of contention and debate about their worth/purpose. This stage evaluates your perceptions of Love. The Higher Emotional Center is highlighted here. Stage 6: MAGNETIZATION +attraction -repulsion In this Stage, you now begin to draw in your agreements, Karma, and Support for new perspectives, or reconnect/stabilize existing ones. The positive pole maintains clear communication, acknowledgment of Traveling Companions, and a more accurate view of the future. You now see with clarity the long-term impact of your efforts alongside the current “demands”. Those who find themselves in a state of rejection, isolation, and depression, have chosen to experience the negative pole. A sense of deep longing begins to unfold in the negative pole of Stage 6, since so much has been deemed “unacceptable”. This stage opens you to your perceptions of Truth. Stage 7: EMANATION +alignment -incongruity In this stage you find the peace of routine that becomes you. A sense of wholeness returns and “getting back” to your life. In the positive pole, alignment occurs with Essence; in the negative pole, life becomes incongruous and sporadic in nature, with no bearing. Regardless of the pole, you will emanate your sense of self at that point with no resistance. This stage engages your Higher Moving Center, and examines Beauty, or Energy. It is important here to note that a completion of the Monad does not necessarily mean a “positive” completion. In most cases where the negative pole becomes emphasized, completion is not reached due to the internal degradation and combustion that occurs along the way. Many do complete the Monad, however, within parameters acceptable to them that would technically be regarded as the negative pole. This is the choice of the individual and has no bearing on their being a “good” or “bad” person; we do not say this, nor do we imply this. We merely state the differentiation between what is expansive and self aware, and what is not. The negative completion is not expansive or self-aware, relatively speaking.

  26. [Excerpt from a private session on February 6, 2013] MEntity: Overleaves are like petals of a flower, if you will; they are present from the beginning, but unfold over time, or get "activated." This is a process of awakening and differentiation that begins from the 2nd Internal Monad, and helps shed the initial projections and reflections of the caretaker's overleaves. Those who do not move beyond the 2nd Internal Monad tend to be hung up as reflections and projections of their caretakers, then. We can share the Life Task, but the True Play, Rest, and Study are calculated upon development of the Personality as to what would benefit and support the Work. ### end of excerpt You may comment on the original post of this content. 27. [Extracted from: Michael Speaks: February 2013] [DianeHB] Why are Kings interested in mastery? How would you define what mastery is? [MEntity] Kings are not so much "interested" in Mastery as they are inherently inclined toward such a state. It is at the positive pole of their Being. Kings are described as "Kings" because they are overseers, interpreting and interacting with life and other fragments in much the same way a literal King would tend to a Kingdom. Kings are about directing, allowing, encouraging, motivating, all of the parts that make up the whole that is greater than that sum of parts. When a King is in the positive pole, Mastery, they are capable of comprehending the inherent nature of the parts, and then directing those parts as means to function as a whole. Those "parts" can be people, aspects of the life, facets of the self, dynamics of a relationship, etc. When a King knows her part in that kingdom of parts, there is comprehension and Mastery. When a King separates herself from those parts, puts herself outside of, above, or below, then there is Tyranny. Tyranny is the demand that parts behave and comply as expected, not as they are inherently inclined. The greatest peace that comes for a King is when she allows for her state to be as she is inclined, rather than as she has demanded or expected. And this is why Mastery is vital for the wholeness of a King.

  28. [Excerpt from Michael Speaks: November 2005] Please elucidate on the type of channeling agreements you have with students, Michael? [MEntity] We have three tiers of Agreements with fragments who work with us in the form of “Channeling.” “Primary Students” are those fragments with whom we share Agreements that extend across many lifetimes and, of course, from before birth for this current lifetime. Our teaching is used by these students as one of their primary philosophies, if not their only primary philosophy. “Primary Channels” are those fragments with whom we share Agreements that extend across lifetimes and, of course, from before birth for this lifetime to use our teaching as a primary philosophy, and to help impart our teaching as a primary philosophy by giving us a medium of expression into the physical plane to our Primary Students. “Secondary Students” are those fragments with whom we share no original Agreement, but we develop an Agreement to accommodate their experimental exposure to our teaching. These fragments will most likely take only parts of our teaching as needed and not use it at a primary philosophy. “Secondary Channels” are those fragments with whom we share no original Agreement to act as our channel, but we develop an Agreement to accommodate these fragments who feel a strong drive to build their own teaching upon our philosophy. “Tertiary Students” are those fragments with whom we share no original Agreement and the student may never find valid contact with a channel, but we develop an Agreement to help guide in the use of our teaching as they might choose to use it as a guide for a period of time. “Tertiary Channels” are those fragments with whom we share no original Agreement, and these fragments do not have valid channeling skills, but we develop an Agreement to help build those skills, even as he or she may grossly misrepresent himself or herself. In other words, anyone claiming to channel us will automatically find a connection to us, though their ability to hear or convey us may be severely limited, despite their eagerness and sense of connection to us. “Regulators” are those fragments with whom we have Agreements (which may or may not have been generated before birth) to not only gather tangible records of all works offered by our Primary and Secondary Channels, but to help question, authenticate, and validate (and invalidate) this material. In some cases, there is overlapping Agreements, such as an Agreement to be a Regulator while also being a Primary Channel or Student. Ultimately, we come to all who ask. Our teaching is accessible to anyone.

  29. [Excerpt from Michael Speaks -- July 2007] [Upst8] Sometime ago, there was mention of the USA running a parallel course with the ancient Roman Roman civilization. Is the USA still on this course, and if so, where are we in the timeline with the Roman time era? (Been watching the HBO series of Rome, with interest) [Michael Entity] Yes, this parallel course is still in effect and details of this were shared in a fairly recent chat with our students. Troy will include those details in the final copy of this transcript. [Upst8] oh, must have missed that one, thank you [Michael Entity] We can easily repeat, as mentioned in our previous response to Marion, the response here, however: We will allow for the final transcript to have the elaboration, but we see the timeline as being “parallel” to the final days of disastrous invasion choices. INCLUDED EXCERPT from Michael Speaks 2007-02-05: We would state that you are still on parallel with this time period, though moving beyond into its finale with parallels to the disastrous invasion choices. These “parallels” are not literal, but global conscious experiences that become patterns among those participating. This allows for certain scenarios to be played out “again,” but with a rearrangement of characters/fragments playing roles within those similar scenarios. In other words, there will be “other Abraham Lincolns,” other “Hitlers,” etc. But these are not prescribed or predestined; they are created by collective choices. There are layers of these parallels to consider, as well, since there are layers of collective un/consciousness. For instance, your world is also paralleling the progression of Atlantis. Much of these repetitive cycles are in place for your species as a result of the burning of the Alexandrian libraries, wherein all collected knowledge that had been gained as a species (which far exceeds what is shared among your species now) was lost; reset. The “repeating of history” helps to regain that knowledge as a species, much in the same way that a child who is an Old Soul must still “re-grow up” in each lifetime as a means to regain his potential consciousness.

  30. [Excerpt from TT: 2014-05-25 Michael Speaks] [MEntity] SELF-DEPRECATION and ARROGANCE are attachments to how one defines one's self. [MEntity] Self-Deprecation is the fear of NOT BEING ENOUGH, while Arrogance is the fear of BEING TOO MUCH. [MEntity] Self-deprecation fears not being seen clearly, while Arrogance fears being seen too clearly. [MEntity] Self-deprecation finds its scraps of self-esteem in being first to the punch for cutting himself or herself down. This is Self-deprecation's way of protecting the self from being invisible or feeling invisible or incompetent. The defense here is that if the individual can call out or showcase his or her own flaws first, then it is a way to show that he or she is on board with what they presume you will undoubtedly see, or are seeing already. [MEntity] It is the only way they know how to be seen: through the lens of failures, flaws, insecurities, and doubts. [MEntity] Arrogance, on the other hand, tries to protect its self-esteem by creating as protective a veneer as possible, hiding his or her insecurities behind a persona of false-confidence, offense, and defense. Since there is very little self-esteem here, it must be protected at all costs, often by deflecting through pointing out someone else's flaws or incompetence. [MEntity] It is the only way they know how to keep any sense of self-esteem, by pretending that it exists in greater quantities than it does. [MEntity] Self-deprecation points out its own flaws, and Arrogance points out yours. Arrogance [MEntity] The 7 Angles of Behavior for transforming ARROGANCE might be: [MEntity] 1. NO ONE IS LOOKING [MEntity] For those in Arrogance, the fear that everyone is watching them is high. There is a keen sense that every move and choice and action is being scrutized and of high relevance to others. In most cases, that is simply not true. No one is watching you. Most do not care if your hair is messed up, you stumbled, or if you are meeting your own standards or expectations. [MEntity] 2. CELEBRATE PRIVATELY [MEntity] For many in Arrogance, there is a compulsion to make it known to others every little success, to point out immediately a win, or to even "humblebrag," which is a self-congratulation tucked into a false self-deprecation. [MEntity] Allow yourself celebrate yourself with yourself. [MEntity] Your successes are just as real with or without being used as a means for defining yourself to others. [MEntity] See if you can embrace a success on your own without recruiting others to celebrate you. [MEntity] 3. CELEBRATE OTHERS [MEntity] Sometimes those in Arrogance can be so preoccupied with presuming everyone is watching them, that they forget to pay any meaningful attention to others. [MEntity] 4. LEAVE YOURSELF ALONE [MEntity] Those in Arrogance can be even harsher in self-criticism than those in Self-deprecation. [MEntity] Self-deprecation can slide into a quiet defeat, but Arrogance can be relentless. [MEntity] Many in Arrogance are their own worst bullies, if you will, taking on the voices of their past that criticized them, owning them so as to find some of their self-esteem in "siding" with this self-loathing. [MEntity] 5. LEAVE OTHERS ALONE [MEntity] Those in Arrogance can be of the worst bullies toward others, as well, actively or passively condescending in tone, words, behaviors, etc. [MEntity] If you find that you are talking down about another person, or yourself (see 4), behaving in a way that is not constructive, or helpful, but simply emphasizing flaws, then it may be time to look at how you are giving rise to voices of criticism that you carry about yourself. [MEntity] Criticism is helpful and meaningful, but not when only used as a means of deflection or protection. [MEntity] 6. EMBRACE EQUALITY [MEntity] By this we mean that while there will always be nuances among everyone and everything, with great gaps between common grounds, with some being better at some skills than others, or more socially celebrated than others, or even unfairly rewarded more than others, there is still profound relevance to the common ground of humanity and existence. In other words, allow comparisons to be informative, not defining. [MEntity] When you see or feel you are better than another, or that another is acting as if better than you, then remind yourself of as much that you share as possible. This does not mean you are not better at what you do than someone else might be, or that another person is not more attractive to more people than you may be, but let yourself have that which is equally true, as well. You do not have to pretend there are no differences, but do not pretend there are no similarities, either. [MEntity] 7. INVITE INTIMACY [MEntity] More than most other Chief Features, Arrogance will keep others at a distance, even as they often feign being very open and up front with you. [MEntity] Many in Arrogance will carefully construct a spectrum of revealing behaviors and expressions that others presume is all there is to know or see about that person, thus protecting the person in Arrogance from those who might otherwise pry. [MEntity] So it can be helpful for the person in Arrogance to take some responsibility and care in consciously inviting others to be close, not presuming that others will find their way, and then looking up and wondering where everyone is. [MEntity] Those in Arrogance can be of the loneliest people because they create the greatest moats of protection, but crave so desperately to be close at the same time. [MEntity] And so it can be helpful to actively invite intimacy, either in obvious ways such as literally asking for conversation, inviting to social events, etc, or by simply allowing the self to be present with another, listening, paying attention, and responding with care. Intimacy is not always about receiving attention, but about giving it

  31. This material was pulled from a private transcript originally posted on 6/28/10. FROM MICHAEL: [We] can share with you the various ways these Roles show up when Old, rather than in the stereotypical, Young ways that may have come to be generalized about these roles. Overall, as each Role grows and evolves, it becomes more like its complementary Role on its axis. This exploration of the complementary Role is not an assigned form of evolution, but one that is important to each fragment as it gains awareness and consciousness, and as such becomes an emphasis in the Old Cycle. This exploration allows for a sense of completeness and a wholeness of the Role. In the case of the Old Artisan, the fragment moves away from the quietude of private creativity and begins to expand that creativity into the life as its work of art. The exploration of recognition and acknowledgment become important, which is quite uncomfortable for the Artisan, but now it is craved in a way that is not easy to ignore. This craving for recognition is not in the sense of praise so much as it is a recognition of quality in the creation of the life through the choices that are made. The Old Artisan becomes distracted with appearances, and how the self and the life look to others, much in the same way that the younger Artisan is distracted with the perfection of a conventional art piece. In the younger cycles, the Artisan tends to care only if this is pleasing to the self, but in the older cycles, the Artisan can tend to include others as part of that assessment of creation. Each choice, each action, each emotion is measured and scrutinized like a brush stroke on a canvas, which can lead the Old Artisan to overcompensation, trying too hard, and presentation instead of authentic presence.

  32. [Excerpt from TT: 1999-05-20] [a5] My Grandmother has Alzheimers…Is she content? [a5] Where is Essence and Personality when a person has this condition? [Michael_Entity] The Essence has disengaged from the body at this point, though still care taking. Alzheimer’s is the choice of individuals who choose to re-experience the first seven years of life as the first seven years of life may have not been assimilated properly. Essence does not “move in” to the Body fully for several years after birth, usually after 7 years, in general. Those with Alzheimer’s have freed the body from any time references, and most space references, similar to a child. This is usually chosen in fragments who were “forced into” their bodies at an early age, before what would have normally been chosen. [a5] Disengaged? Clarify? [Michael_Entity] When we say “disengaged”, we mean the life is already in review. This does not, however, mean that it is “done”. [a5] Since she is older(85) this makes a lot of sense. She seems happy. [Michael_Entity] Whether this “illness” is seen as traumatic for those surrounding the fragment is not the concern of Essence who chooses this. In most cases, the event is ecstatic and playful. Those who choose this are experiencing some of their first validations of afterlife without stereotypes and imprinting as a gateway.

  33. [Ingun located this content from November 25, 2007, in her records and shared it.] From Troy: Because of my recent move into my new apartment, I found myself going through a lot of notebooks and papers that contain years and years of channelling before the wonders of online record keeping and blogging and chat transcripts. Among the scribble notes and half-transcripts from cassette recordings now long gone, I found part of a live session transcribed about "Healing the Wounds that Block Prosperity." This original session from Michael in 1997 talked about 4 major areas of the life that help give clues to our primary assumptions about the universe and how we relate to it in terms of manifesting prosperity. Only two areas were transcribed, so to get the complete session would mean asking Michael for it all over again, which I intend to do, but for now, I thought I'd share part of the information as it relates to our Chief Negative Features (basic fears). The piece below is a start to the re-channeling of the information from 1997. What you are reading below is from 2007, using notes from 1997 as a guide for my posing the subject to Michael. [Note: We do not know if the intended continuation of this content was ever completed. If it was, we no longer have it.] Healing The Wounds that Block Prosperity From Michael: Many of our students are interested in the concept of "manifesting" as it relates to creating a life of prosperity, abundance, and happiness as if this is a skill that must be learned. "Manifesting" is not a skill that needs to be learned, but is an inherent quality that is either used consciously or unconsciously. Manifesting happens 100% of the time that you are alive (and even when you are not), but you either manifest by default (unconsciously choosing or allowing) or through creativity (consciously choosing or allowing). Most find their days to be spent in routines, drama, and/or superficialities so this powerful tool falls to the default and all prosperity is then sourced and filtered through basic assumptions that have gone unquestioned or unhealed about one's relationship to the universe. We will define "Prosperity" as "any sense of personal freedom to act, feel, or think within the context of your material, emotional, or intellectual world." This definition then varies greatly from one fragment to the next. Though there are 4 areas to which one can look for clues as to what one's primary assumptions are about the universe's abundance, today we will offer insights from the area of your basic fears: your Chief Negative Features. Your Chief Negative Features are merely habitual responses from your Personality toward what you have deemed threatening. Depending on what you find to be most threatening, you will enlist a response that you feel protects you from the threat; hence, the 7 Chief Negative Features. Understanding what you believe is a threat to you, and how you respond to that threat, can help greatly in your freeing yourself from reactionary relationships with the universe, allowing room for more conscious choosing, thus allowing for greater control over what is manifested, or created. Remember: "creating your own reality" is simply a phrase to describe the power of CHOICE. Though there is validity to the scientific explorations of this phenomenon, the level from which the Personality can relate and create is through CHOICE, and to do so consciously is the most effective means of "creating your reality." There are 7 Chief Negative Features and each are enlisted as protection against natural forces within your world that are not necessarily threatening. However, once one has determined that this natural force is a threat, a person can spend his or her entire life protecting oneself from experiencing it. The 7 Chief Negative Features are: ARROGANCE - fear of BEING too much (vulnerability, over-exposure, being seen too closely) SELF-DEPRECATION - fear of BEING too little (inadequacy, failing standards, being invisible) IMPATIENCE - fear of LOSING CONTROL of Time (getting old, running out of time, missing out) MARTYRDOM - fear of LOSING CONTROL of Space (other people's choices, imposition, wounds) SELF-DESTRUCTION - fear of HAVING too much (taking too much, undeserving, unworthy) GREED - fear of HAVING too little (not enough of something specific, lack of recognition, unfairness) STUBBORNNESS - fear of CHANGE (anything new, different, unexpected) As one becomes an independent force in the world, one finds his or her particular fears relate to BEING, CONTROL, HAVING, and/or CHANGE. All fears are capable of being enlisted at any time, but a fragment usually fixates on two Chief Negative Features as they relate to the areas of one's goals in life and one's experience of intimacy and relationships (a primary and a secondary Chief Negative Feature.) If one has identified the Primary and Secondary Chief Negative Features, one can bring a consciousness to that particular block to prosperity. It could be said that the Primary Chief Negative Feature relates to one's experience of prosperity EXTERNALLY, while the Secondary Chief Negative Feature relates to one's INTERNAL sense of prosperity. So while externally one might be abundant, the internal may contradict that abundance. The same can be said of one's having an internal sense of abundance about life, but his or her Primary Chief Negative Feature blocks prosperity externally. The latter is common among Older Souls. It is also important to note that the External relates to the prosperity experienced within the world, while the Internal relates to prosperity in Relationships. So, for instance, even if one feels generally prosperous internally ABOUT THE WORLD, he or she may still find lack in the area of Relationships. Here, then, are the internal assumptions that come along with each Chief Negative Feature that may hold clues for how one might bring consciousness to the equation and make new choices when one feels threatened in the world. These phrases help describe why you believe you ultimately cannot get what you want. ARROGANCE: "If I gain prosperity, it will bring unwanted attention to me through judgments and criticism." Arrogance uses any success as a threat to separate oneself from others in a defining, obvious way, so even with success, this fear can reduce the enjoyment tremendously as it threatens vulnerability. Arrogance does not want the responsibility for managing the prosperity. SELF-DEPRECATION: "I really don't deserve this. I didn't really do anything to have this. I still haven't earned the right." Success here brings with it a haunting sense of guilt for not being adequate enough to have attained it. Self-Deprecation does not feel it can be responsible enough to manage what comes with success. IMPATIENCE: "If I focus too much here, I will miss out over there." Impatience has the fragment weaving through life trying so desperately to manage the experiences of Time that no time is made for what is most wanted. MARTYRDOM: "With success comes inevitable disaster." Martyrdom has the fragment spending so much time reducing the life to what can be controlled that it finds little room for anything broader than that. SELF-DESTRUCTION: "It's just not worth the effort." Because Self-Destruction already feels that his or her life is of no value compared to others', there is no interest in having more. GREED: "This isn't enough, or what I wanted, after all." Greed always has the fragment perceiving that 'the grass is greener' somewhere else and does not acknowledge the progress toward prosperity, reducing experiences to always having better results elsewhere or elsehow. STUBBORNNESS: "Wanting means Change means Scary." Success is seen as unknown territory that could leave the fragment lost, so reducing the experience of wanting vs. having helps keep the sense of familiar and false security. Taking a look at the phrases and simple interpretations may shed some light on the undercurrents within your life that block prosperity. Some of you may find yourself experiencing the descriptions to varying degrees of extreme or subtlety. The most effective and immediate means of dismantling your fearful habits is to consciously make a note of your Positive Pole of your Attitude.* The Attitude is the key within your Personality that is directly linked to all fears. Once the Attitude has slipped into the Negative Pole, the inner protectors come forth in the form of the Chief Negative Features. It can easily be said that if you are struggling to have what you want, it may relate directly to the Chief Negative Feature that you have brought in to protect you. As long as having what you want is related to a root threat, you will find ways to protect yourself from that very thing. What one must do to redirect the choices and behaviors is to first gain consciousness of the undercurrent and then to update the self with new possibilities that are not based on past experiences or fears. This may take some time and energy, but these are abundant in the universe, and yours to use as necessary. If you are not getting what you want, it is almost always rooted in a prejudice or assumption that you have made about your relationship. Whether this was developed by you, or was taught to you, is not the issue. The solution is in your efforts, your patience, your compassion and gentleness toward yourself as you redirect your choices with consciousness, keeping in mind that how you respond to life's disappointments is also a matter of choice. - Michael ### * The Positive Pole of the Attitudes may be found in the Overleaf Map. This content may be discussed in Ingun's forum post on the topic. See Healing the Wounds That Block Prosperity.

  34. [Extracted from Energy Report: April 2010] MEntity: Power Mode is not about Action, but about Expression. Expression is the capacity to translate intangible patterns into something meaningful and recognizable, not only for yourself, but for those with whom you wish to relate. Power Mode, then, is the capacity to communicate in a way that conveys your Presence. It is the shift from invisible to visible. It is the shift from watching to exchanging. In short, it is Confidence. ... In the Positive Pole, this Power/Presence would show up as Authority, which simply means Confidence, or that your presence conveys full self-responsibility. In the Negative Pole, this would show up as Oppression, which is when your presence imposes responsibility upon others, or at least conveys that someone else, or something else is responsible for you. This why the Chief Negative Feature of Greed is on the same axis, because Greed compulsively compensates for lack, and when one is lacking Confidence, one will "take it" from those around him or her. When one feels invisible, one might steal focus for himself in unhealthy ways as a means to compensate. When one is in the negative pole of Power Mode, it is most obvious by the way others relate to that person, either in fearful obligation, or in keeping a distance. When one is in the positive pole, it is most obvious by the way others eagerly and freely offer support, kindness, information, compassionate ear, insightful observations, etc. The key difference between the positive and negative poles being whether support is resentfully or enthusiastically provided.

  35. [Extracted from Michael Speaks: Healing Relationships] Note: This is a complex topic. The full session should be read for context. MEntity: Power Mode tends to be attracted to the beliefs or the truths of another person. This is often difficult to discern and, depending on factors in the overleaves, can cause some complications in developing and sustaining relationships, because the exposure of an individual’s personal beliefs and perspectives of life often requires exchanges to reveal that. If the overleaves are not in line with the effort to uncover the beliefs of another individual, those in power mode can often sit back and wait to find out what those beliefs are, what those perspectives are, and often miss those opportunities for deeper relationships. However, one of the ways that Power Mode attracts those to whom he or she can develop those relationships is by being as present as possible, so that he or she is revealing of his or her own personal beliefs in a way that acts as an invitation for those relationships to sustain and nurture. Again, if this is not pursued, it can cause a gap between the self and development of relationships of significance with others, because the key here is in the fact that it is an individual’s truths and perceptions that are attractive to those who have Power Mode. ... Power Mode tends to experience the most wounding when there are lies involved: delusion, deceit, or some form of contradiction to what is expressed as a truth, and acted upon differently. Dishonesty. As you can see all of these things may harm any individual, and their relationships, but they tend to be consistently deeply wounding to those relative to the modes associated with them. For Power Mode, then, this can translate into trust issues. And often, when it comes to Power Mode, once an initial wounding has happened, it may take a long time to get to a place to allow the experimentation with trust again, whether with an individual or as an individual in terms of accepting new relationships. ... The healing that can come for Power Mode is to utilize what is a part of Caution Mode’s attraction. Caution tends to be attracted to the security of a relationship, to the safety that another individual provides, or to the sense of safety that is developed within, as a result of the relationship, or to the confidence of another individual. Caution is strongly attracted to that because Caution Mode tends to work on developing that sense of confidence, that inner security, and so forth. So when Power Mode feels distrust and feels divided from the capacity for inviting relationships, it can often be healed by developing trust in the self, by developing confidence in the self. If there is a relationship that has been wounded as a part of a blow to trust, that wounding can be healed by the realization that it has no effect on your own sense of self. It has no effect on your sense of trust in you. Sometimes when you enter a relationship, and this is in particular with Power Mode, there can be a strong wounding occurring if you feel duped, if you feel that something has deceived you or misled you. This can develop into a distrust in your own perceptions, your own capacities to discern and to navigate. Understanding that the choices of another individual, and their capacity to express their truths consistently, has no bearing on your capacity to do that for yourself can bring about the healing for the wounding that may have occurred as a result of those experiences. ... Power and Caution tend to carry into relationships… With or without relationships these issues may exist, and that would be what we might describe as contradictions within. With or without a relationship, often Power Mode walks around carrying a confusion about what he is, where he is going, what he is doing, and lives in this divide of how to be present in the world, and what that means. So in short, they have not defined their truths yet. They have not found yet what feels comfortable as a truth, and until that individual does, it can often show up in relationships as distrust and of course develop into distrust within. Because if you do not have that navigational tool of perception and truth to guide you, you feel as if you can’t even trust yourself.

  36. [Excerpt from Michael Speaks: December 2001] [MaryBV] I would like to know if Artisans generally have a hard time working with the public. I have felt this most of my life, but now with your answer to Julie’s que I am thinking this is true. Are Artisan’s best employed in more solitary professions? [M_Entity] Most Artisans, yes, as they are Ordinal, unless with a higher amount of Cardinal Overleaves to affect this.

  37. This material was originally posted by Geraldine on 12/8/13. FROM GERALDINE: This is for you C1E2ers. I have been considering writing this up in a bigger essay, but it's remaining formless with shooting stars creating tangents. So, here's some of the basic data, and YOU all decide whether you are interested or not. The topic is Zhuangzi, one of the two preeminent founders of Daoism (Taoism). The interesting this is "most C1E2s were present writing the documents." We know about Martha, Troy, and BrianW, but apparently, it was most of the incarnating Entity. I would recommend starting with this 45 min. lecture of Zhuangzi from a Harvard Professor of Chinese studies. He does a good job making the philosophical concepts alive. Additionally, he makes it very clear how Zen Buddhism is derivative of Zhuangzi thinking. The Michael Q&As: MARTHA: What is my history with Troy? FROM MICHAEL: Your history with the Essence now known as Troy consists of approximately 47 lifetimes, with all Classic Monads completed, leaving only the Love Monad, which is intended to be completed in lives beyond this one. The most-resonant past life relative to these Personalities appears to come from the last time you came together for study, which appears to have been approximately 350 BCE when many of your entity members gathered to contribute to the book now known as "Zhuangzi." Reading the scripts of this may find comical and familiar philosophical loops, questions, and paradox. In the same way the much playful, yet serious, joy is being brought to study in this life, so was it shared in the contributions left in the scripts of the Zhuangzi. FROM TROY: I am so intrigued by this book thing that I asked Michael for another comment and they said that our contributions are in the "middle chapters" and that with some intuition we might be able to figure out which chapters are ours! They said we were "whooping it up" during the writing for this book, and that it could be likened to the circles that ran together during the more recent "beatnik" period. They said our chapters would have references to familiar Michael terminology because we tried to slip that in as part of our work with Michael. D'oh! LOL we were Chinese Beatnik Michael Channel Philosophers!? BrianW: The period in China was with Zhuangzi In a previous exchange, it was mentioned that my Essence "loved" my lives in China. I am guessing based upon the timeline that you gave me with my interactions with you that I lived during the time of the fragment known as Zhaungzi. Could you elaborate on this and any other details of lives that I spent in China, as I seem to have more than a passing interesting in it lately? MEntity: In response to your first question: it is true that your Essence incarnated along with many of our students, not only during the time of the fragment in question, Zhuangzi, but in later lifetimes, contributing to the protection, propagation, and contributions to a relevant book. These were lifetimes where the Attitude of Skepticism was in full force by most involved, and the results were quite profound in terms of exploring the spectrum of that philosophy, with much of it being from the Positive Poles. Several of our students, including your Essence, contributed to what are known as the "outer" and "mixed" chapters of the Magnetic Sage, Zhuangzi's, book and teaching of the same name. Your resonance is valid, in that your Pragmatism slides to Skepticism on a regular basis, but falls into Suspicion, which keeps Pragmatism as Dogma. Some recall from those lifetimes where Skepticism was an hilarious and playful exploration of life is now coming up. There were a few lifetimes unrelated to the work of the Magnetic Sage, but even those were more like "in the field" lifetimes that sought to apply the Sage's teaching. FROM GERALDINE: A good link for some Zhuangzi stories. It's not hard to see Michael shining through when it comes to relativism and perspective defining one's truth. If y'all want more, you know how to do web searching. G

  38. [Excerpt from a private session on January 15, 2015] Question: What remaining issues need to be addressed in order to close out the Fourth Internal Monad? MEntity: There are almost always two elements that remain "floating" that extend this Internal Monad when one is "so close" to successful closure. These elements are part of the entire point of the Internal Monad. The elements related to the shedding of imprinting can come surprisingly easier than these final two. And those elements are: BE YOURSELF, and LIKE YOURSELF. These can sometimes be quite elusive. Just when one feels he or she is making strides, and actually liking the self, something challenges this notion and then you may find yourself angry, frustrated, berating yourself, blaming someone, distracted with defense, etc. The ultimate shift that comes after allowing oneself to BE oneself, and LIKING oneself, is that you lose all defense. You no longer react. No longer defend. We are not speaking in terms of responding to legitimate attack or harm. Defense is not a "bad thing" in and of itself. What we speak of here is retreat, recoiling, lashing out, resigning, helplessness, paralyzation, as a means of reaction to feeling threatened, with or without valid threat The "good news" is that this defense comes up BECAUSE you like yourself. So half of the battle is already won. The other half of the battle is when one realizes: there is no need for a battle at all. You can like yourself on your worst days. You can be yourself even when it is the farthest from what you would prefer yourself to be. Because ALL of it is you. There is no one pushing you to be something you are not. No one defining you anymore. Only you, your thoughts, feelings, actions, reactions, and responses. If you overreact, feel frustrated, angry, then THAT is who you are. If you feel hurt, upset, depressed, then THAT is who you are. If you feel blissful, enthusiastic, playful, then THAT is who you are. None of it is ever NOT who you are. And when that spectrum of who you are is embraced, the defenses drop because "who you are" is no longer seen as being "caused" by someone else's behavior or actions. Keep in mind that one can BE who one is without LIKING who one is. And one can LIKE who one is without BEING who one is. For example, you may not like who you are in some contexts and situations, but you can BE who you are. This helps you to own who you are, which helps to return you to liking yourself. Or, you may find that you are able to LIKE yourself, but worry that you are not Being yourself. This is okay, too, because liking yourself helps you to learn to be even more than you thought you were. So Being and Liking are not mutually exclusive or inherently fused. ### end of excerpt You can discuss this content in Dawn's blog entry. See 4th IM Update.

  39. [Excerpt from Michael Speaks: November 2001] [Kathryn] Companion animals take on overleaves of their main caregivers to express personality. Is it likely for one to take on overleaves of an Essence Twin if there is strong bleed through, and do they change these overleaves if their caregiver changes? [Michael_Entity] Yes to both questions. The shifts in expression, if an animal changes companions, can usually last nearly 7 months to a year. But we have seen the shift occur within 7 days, as well, depending on circumstances.

  40. [Excerpt from Michael Speaks: July 2011] [jesuislulu] After researching about the more personal nature of Triads from my last POF session I came across a question regarding working groups….I cribbed this question from the Library as it resonated with information from previous sessions regarding my times in the Mystery Schools….. SO. Regarding your description of working groups as “a configuration of fragments working on esoteric themes begun in Alexandrine schools….,” this struck a cord with me. [jesuislulu] Could you elaborate a bit more and I’m not asking for details, but can you confirm whether I am part of such a group and if so, what its esoteric theme is? [MEntity] Yes, your Essence is part of such a Working Group: The Owls, who focus on a form of constant and persistent questioning until “satisfying” answers are collected. Owls may be associated with the sound of “hoo,” but this Working Group asks “why.”

  41. [Excerpt from a session, probably on June 17, 2013] [GeraldineB] Similar to past questions on the 7 Stages of Internal Monads, I would like the basic information on the 7 Stages of the 5th Internal Monad and any additional information that indicates non-completion of the 5th IM in positive poles vs completing it in positive poles. [MEntity] The 5th Internal Monad could be described as the RECREATIONAL RITE OF PASSAGE. We mean the term in both the embrace of a playful state and the active creativity that brings the life to a new state of acceptance. The 7 Stages may go as such: INITIATION comes with a Positive Pole of Awareness and a Negative Pole of Anxiety. INTROSPECTION comes with a Positive Pole of Appreciation and a Negative Pole of Regret. REALIZATION comes with a Positive Pole of Acceptance and a Negative Pole of Resentment. MANIFESTATION comes with a Positive Pole of Revitalization and a Negative Pole of Punishment. CONTENTMENT comes with a Positive Pole of Vividry and a Negative Pole of Overwhelm. MAGNETIZATION comes with a Positive Pole of Bonding and a Negative Pole of Burden. EMANATION comes with a Positive Pole of Transcendence and Negative Pole of Collapse. Those who move out of this Internal Monad without completion tend to fall quickly into senility, loss of memory, development of Alzheimer's, and/or regress entirely into memories that are programmed into the body, losing focus on the present as a state of existence. Those who move out of this Internal Monad with successful completion tend to return to the past as means for understanding the present in new, profound ways, using anecdotes and stories to help share wisdom; and rather than being consumed by the natural decline of memory, it is utilized as a form of philosophizing, and can even lead to psychic events and breakthroughs. Whereas the 4th Internal Monad is one in which the individual works through the processes of "liking who I have chosen to be," the 5th Internal Monad is one in which the individual works through the processes of "liking who I am," or "who I've become," regardless of what was chosen or intended. The 3rd Internal Monad might be described as Freeing Yourself; the 4th as Defining Yourself; and the 5th as Being Yourself. ### end of excerpt It appears that Geraldine received this information and posted it only as a reply in a discussion on the 5th IM. The info is included within the topic The 5th Internal Monad: During and Completed and may be discussed there.

  42. [Excerpt from Michael Speaks: December 2001] [Annette] Could Michael spend some time giving us details about Cadre 5, Entity 2, what the chosen work is, what the configuration of the group is, and any details Michael thinks may be of interest to us? [M_Entity] CADRE 5/Entity 2: Primarily Servers and Sages with the overall theme of Stability/Balance, like any other Entity 2, but in the context of the Cadre 5 Energy of Beauty wherein all of this Cadre will bring some kind of teaching about perceptions of Energy/Beauty. This particular Entity has a general specific theme of “Preserving or Replacing Foundations.” This could manifest in any number of ways, but most from this Entity can be found having very high Ideals with which the imperfect world must contend. This Entity could be nicknamed “the perfectionists.” This should be enough for now, though there is a great deal more that could be said for any Cadre or Entity.

  43. This content from a private session in December 2014 was provided by Bobby. [Bobby] May I have the Role, Casting, Soul Age/Level, Cadre/Entity for R.L. please? [MEntity] This would appear to be the 7th Level Mature Scholar-Cast King from Cadre 2, Entity 4. [Bobby] Is this my King Task Companion? I wanted to ask specifically because over Thanksgiving last month, I had been re-reading the Messages From Michael books and it seems that more emphasis was placed upon Task Companions than I realized. It ranked right up there with one's Essence Twin. The difference being that the Task Companion was an outwardly reflecting relationship and the Essence Twin was an inwardly reflecting relationship. I know you've mentioned in recent channeling to others that there can be more than one Task Companion, and you've already given me King/Warrior/Scholar, but I'm basing this question upon whatever mathematical ties there may be to that one Essence, if it even exists as I understand it. [MEntity] The romanticized ideal of these specific relationships took some time to work through in our channels, so initial information came with some amount of that bias coloring these being "special." These unique relationships are unique in mathematical resonance, in being chosen by Essence as opposed to Personality, and in being secured across at least more than half of one's incarnation, if not 75% or more, but they do not trump any other relationship of significance. Once we were able to work through the biases of these biases, we were able to describe the Traveling Companions, for example, and to expand upon the concept of Traveling Companions. We would have been as comfortable with the use of Essence Twins for Traveling Companions if the channel who received this, first, had not come up with the phrase that now differentiates Traveling Companions from Essence Twins. One would simply have up to 6 Essence Twins. [Bobby] Do you have a more preferred terminology then to describe this sort of of relationship then? [MEntity] This is true of Task Companions, as well. There is only one in terms of the criteria for securing the Primary Task Companion, but a fragment can have up to 12. No phrase has been offered to differentiate the Primary from the rest, so the blurring between the Primary and the rest has remained persistent. [Bobby] Ok, so is this fragment then my Primary Task Companion or one of the up to 11 others? [MEntity] Those companions beyond the Task Companion could be referred to as World Companions, Project Companions, Touch-base Companions, Reality Check Companions, Awareness Companions. We could go on. If any of our channels asked us to begin sustaining a differentiation, we would choose a phrase. But because this would be "hair-splitting," we are not so concerned. A Task Companion is still a Task Companion. [Bobby] Then he is probably the Reality Check Companion then. lol [Bobby] So what role would my Primary Task Companion be then? And by Primary, I'm assuming that is the one that originates from the same Entity. [MEntity] Your Primary Task Companion is a Priest. [Bobby] Currently incarnate? [MEntity] No. We tend to relay to profiles those Task Companions of relevance to the current life. You have 11. Any Task Companion beyond the Primary may or may not be in one's own Entity. But the Primary will always be in the same Entity and ALL Task Companions will have a complementary Casting. [Bobby] Would you elaborate on the Task shared with this Primary then? [MEntity] There is no Task at the moment with the Primary. This is why the fragment is not involved in the life. Tasks are relative to any given life, and though there are themes that evolve, the Tasks are not necessarily intentional themes. [Bobby] So King-casting in my case? [MEntity] King-casting? [Bobby] My mistake, disregard that. I should have stated either Server, Artisan, or Warrior complementary casting for the Task Companions since my casting is Cardinal in Sage-casting. If that is not correct, feel free to correct it. [MEntity] Yes. We will clarify: Complementary in Polarities. So if one's Casting is Cardinal, the Task Companions will have Ordinal or Assimilative. Assimilative would have Cardinal or Ordinal. There are no same-Polarity Casting between Task Companions. You are correct. [Bobby] So then back to my original question then, R. L. is a secondary Task Companion then, correct? [MEntity] Oh. Yes. [Bobby] Ok, thank you. ### end of content You may comment on this session in Bobby's post. See Task Companions Clarified.

  44. [Excerpt from Michael Speaks: May 2009] [jon] What is stress? And what are good ways of reducing it (or at least its harmful effects)? [Michael Entity] We would define Stress, in this case, as Unwarranted Pressure, outwardly or inwardly. Outwardly, this could be said to be Resistance. Inwardly, this could be said to be Anxiety. Resistance and Anxiety are forms of defensiveness against that which has been deemed an imposition of Time or Space. Resistance is a defense against the demands of Space, or your environment, and Anxiety is a defense against the demands of Time. Ways of reducing Stress would be to update your perceptions and actions to relieve you of this unwarranted Pressure. Much of what is experienced as Stressful are situations that are more anticipatory than real. When one can update the perceptions to focus only on that which is tangible, then navigation through time or space can move more comfortably and freely. Friction is a natural part of life. In all lifetimes, through all Soul Ages and by all Essences, Friction will be experienced until the “end.” Friction is the experience generated by opposing forces in the life, and in the Positive Pole, it could be said to be Evolution, and the Negative Pole could be said to be Stress. Evolution is the resolution of those opposing forces as a means to move onward; Stress is the defense against those forces as a means to remain in a pseudo state of safety. There are many ways one can relieve stress, such as walking, eating well, meditating, dancing, having outbursts, etc, but the most effective way is in updating the perceptions to manage only that which can be managed, and to allow room for your awareness of the forces of time and space, without the need for defensiveness against them. A more elaborate response might be in order here at some point, but we think this is some food for thought in regard to your question.

  45. [Excerpt Michael Speaks: February 2000] [Nemo999] If I was to materialize on your plane what would it look like to me? [Michael_Entity] This is a difficult scenario to translate. There are no needs for physical eyes in the Causal Plane, therefore, as a human this “place” may still remain “invisible”. The closest scenario we can come to transferring the experience of the Causal to you is more in terms of your Intellectual “a-ha’s!”… the space where everything suddenly makes sense and is connected clearly. [nemo999] To me dreams are unclear and very hazy–what I picture as your plane of existence. [Michael_Entity] The Plane itself encompasses the Astral and the Physical, with the Astral and Physical simply being more condensed versions of the same energy. It would not be impossible then for you to experience Causality while Physical, but with a tremendous drop in frequency and in circles of realization. To describe it in Physical terms is not possible. It is intellectually based and therefore, as we said, those moments of clarity and insight become foundations and structures “here”. Take a moment one day and make a note of every person you pass; note that their life is filled, has its path and it crossed yours, briefly or deeply. Follow the thoughts that lead from each person and how they must move into spaces that you will never see, filling other lives as well, crossing other paths in brevity or depth. Continue this throughout your day in as solid a way as possible, retaining a count of each person and a brief inner comment on their reality. If you are able to do this for a full 24 hours and grasp the magnitude of your contact, crossings, connections, etc. You will have a moment where you have grasped a reflection of Causality. [nemo999] My picture is of dots of light, sort of a probability cloud of them. [Michael_Entity] A cloudy image will not suffice as a reflection; there would need to be comprehension. This is why it is a goal while Physical to BE Physical, not Causal. We note to you that you will have “plenty of time” to enjoy the Causal when you “get here”. We will still be “here” when you get here, in fact.

  46. [Excerpt from Michael Speaks: January 2001] [Lori] I would like to know what working group or theme I might be in my entity seven, cadre one. [Michael_Entity] Though we do not specialize in that teaching through this channel, we can say that it appears you would be part of what is referred to as the HAWK Working Group. In terms of your Entity’s Theme in general, Entity 7 is geared toward the spectrum between Inculcation and Eclecticism; the positive and negative poles of any Entity 7. The themes within your particular Entity are highly active in Teaching. Most specialize in addressing troubled Personalities in some fashion, offering insight, healing or teaching. There are a great number of psychiatrists, ministers, and therapists (physical and emotional), and musicians with focus on healing as the result of their music. Andreas Vollenweider is a prominent example of the latter.

  47. [Excerpt from Energy Report: July 2016 ] The Cynic Attitude in itself is not inherently unpleasant, but for those not familiar with it or are uncomfortable with contradiction, even the best of Cynic energy can feel inconvenient at best, but when Cynic is moving through the Negative Pole, Denigration, it can be an invisible, heavy weight that seems to strip the joy and life from everything and is exhausting. Denigration is countering and questioning and challenging for the sake of defending one's perspective, not for expanding or evolving in one's perspective. Denigration seeks to undermine, devalue, belittle, and destroy that which is questioned, rather than listen to answers or see the truth. What we are finding in patterns across July are many with even the best of intentions simply falling into Denigration, pursuing the take down and destruction of that which is questionable rather than pursuing the understanding of that which is questionable. With the Chief Feature of Self-destruction in force this year, and so much emphasis on the Negative Poles, the force of Self-Destruction is rising among many, even among our students. Those who may be prone to aligning with Denigration this year appear to be willing to “go down with the ship”, see themselves as making an honorable Sacrifice, or commit Suicide (figuratively and literally) as a means to take down that which is deemed opposing forces. From what we can see, this may turn out to be a year of unprecedented acts of Suicide, not only in the obvious figurative and literal ways, but in cascading impact. As July progresses, we do not see much levity in terms of how Cynicism will be used, so we suggest that our students do all they can to generate that levity and nurture it as a means to remain a part of the process of questioning and encouraging challenges to presumptions, but help yourselves and others to be less-inclined toward the gravity of Denigration.

  48. Some people are comfortable with the word "God", some are not. Some find the word "God" to be limiting, lacking the enormity of this wonderful source of life and beauty around us. Michael actually prefers not to use the word "God;" using the Eastern term "Tao," instead (pronounced DOW but with a hard "D", like TDOW; meaning: the way).Michael has explained that we (especially those of the European Culture, or Western Civilization) have turned the word "God" into something far from what is true on a universal level. To help us move away from the stereotypes and limited images of "God," Michael uses the term "Tao," which brings with it no preconceived limitations or personifications. You may use whatever term you personally prefer. Michael, nor any Michael Students or Channels, have any rules about this in any way. Just remember that when Michael speaks of "Tao", they are referring to the general, unlimited energy that others may call "The Universe," or "Love," or "God," or "All-That-Is."Regardless of the name, most people seem to have some form of recognition of a higher source of which we are all a part and in which we all reside. Michael's teachings supports the concept that this source does exist in some way.

  49. Throughout all of the lifetimes, heartaches, pleasures, fears, and pains, you are never actually alone. There are groups of souls connected to you on very intimate and deep levels. Your Essence develops varying levels of depth with other Essences as you would as a Personality within a lifetime.Though the dynamics of how Essences are all organized and connected can get very detailed and mathematical, we will stick with just a few introductory terms here. The first terms that will become familiar to you are CADRE and ENTITY.ENTITY: a family of approximately 1000 Essences who share a theme of consciousness. Think of an Entity as a busload of souls who come with you to Earth, and everyone on that bus is your Entity Mate.CADRE (pronounced either KAH-druh or KAD-dree): a group of 7 Entities (or 7 "bus loads"). Entities are organized into groups of 7 acting as "extended family", so to speak. Your Entity, along with these 6 other Entities, makes for a large family of souls sharing a very intimate and specific group consciousness. Everyone in a specific Cadre is called your "Cadre Mate".Why are souls organized into these groups? Because groups of souls are interested in certain themes and adventures, and before you ever start your journey from Tao, you find other souls of similar interests. Many of these souls are souls you have "known" a long long time and some are totally "new" to you, but the common thread will be in your specific themes of interest. An Entity will share a more specific theme among all of its members while a Cadre will have each Entity exploring aspects of an even larger theme. More importantly, the reason you choose these "families of consciousness" before you begin your journey is so that no matter where you incarnate in a lifetime, you will always be able to find at least one or two familiar souls with which you can find comfort and growth. There is a larger structure that contains the Cadre and Entity and that is called your ENERGY RING. This is the largest group you should be concerned with at this time. An Energy Ring is a Group of 12 Cadres. Here is how it all connects: 1 Energy Ring = 12 Cadres 1 Cadre = 7 Entities 1 Entity = approximately 1000 EssencesOf course, there are millions and millions of people in the world, so there are also thousands and thousands and thousands of Energy Rings, Cadres, and Entities. You will interact with all kinds of souls and people from all kinds of Cadres and Entities, but most of your important and moving experiences are shared with Entity members and Cadre Members. In addition, you have your own larger Energy Ring to work with! This gives you at least a total of about 84,000 Essences (12 Cadres, 12 X 7000 Essences) to work with over all of your lifetimes and that's if you chose to only work within your own Energy Ring! The Intimate ConnectionsThere are a few Essences that you work with on world projects and some you work with on specific internal growth. To help with these intense and amazing experiences across so many lifetimes, it takes commitment and dedication from another Essence. There are at least two primary Essence relationships that stand out. Any relationship can be profound and intense, but these are the technical terms for those Essences who have chosen to get to know you "inside and out" and to always seek to push you beyond your limitations. They are your ESSENCE TWIN and TASK COMPANIONS.The ESSENCE TWIN is the one Essence guaranteed to be committed to going through EVERYTHING with you, including all the worst and best experiences. This is not the romantic "soul mate" that the "New Age" and romance novels like to promote; instead this Essence relationship can be described simply as "intense". This is because this relationship does not allow for either individual to "hide" from himself, or to avoid the internal issues that block growth. The relationship with your Essence Twin (ET) can be intensely loving or intensely hateful, but there is rarely neutrality between yourself and that Essence, particularly within a physical lifetime where your Personalities are "between you". You each reflect in each other everything you love and hate about yourself. This "mirroring" ignites growth and encourages a self-awareness because you are so profoundly confronted with yourself, your fears, and your desires. Most Essences spend about 60% to 70% of their lives incarnated with their Essence Twin in some way. Otherwise, if only one of you is incarnated, the other might act as a Spirit Guide.Essence Twins are NEVER from the same Entity. The 7th Entity of a Cadre will usually find its Essence Twins in the 7th Entity of another Cadre within their Energy Ring.Essence Twins are the links that reunite a Cadre, and the 7th Entities are what reunite the Energy Ring (12 Cadres).Around 5% of all Essences choose NOT to even have an Essence Twin! See Surrogates and Traveling Companions, below for how this is accommodated.TASK COMPANIONS are Essences committed to working on external, worldly projects and experiences with you. Your Essence always starts your incarnational cycle with at least one Task Companion, but you also acquire as many as five as you continue to incarnate. You acquire more Task Companions because you "meet" and learn that there are others who are excellent work partners for you, too.Task Companions are always from the same Entity. This is because Task Companions are those Fragments we work with as a means to accomplish things in the external world, to manifest ourselves in some specific way on the Physical Plane. If two Fragments share the exact same Casting, and therefore approaching life from a very similar angle, there would be no balance to the approach of accomplishment. Because your Casting Position affects how you live your daily life, it is vitally linked to how you also manifest your accomplishments when working with a Task Companion. Task Companions will always be one Ordinal and one Cardinal in Casting. Having the different Casting is a complementary union, to help cover both the focused aspects of life and the broader aspects of life. The relationships between Task Companions are what reunite an Entity.TRAVELING COMPANIONSTraveling Companions are those Essences who reside in the EXACT same position as your own position within their own Entity! In other words, if you are the 127th Essence within your Entity, then all of the fragments who are in the 127th position within the other 6 Entities are your Traveling Companions. One of those 6 Essences is actually your Essence Twin, and the deep bond among all of you is very similar to the Essence Twin bond. In fact, it can be hard to differentiate a Traveling Companion from the Traveling Companion who is your Essence Twin. Those fragments without an Essence Twin will still have the Traveling Companions, which are quite similar in effect within the lifetime.CADENCE MATESAnd finally, although there are many many connections that Michael will explain, another good one to know is what are called your Cadence Mates. These are the other 6 Essences that are directly, intimately linked to you WITHIN your entity. This is the smallest named grouping within the Michael Teachings. A Cadence of Essences is ALL the same Role. If you think of an Entity as a Bus, then these are the other 6 Essences that are sitting in the same row as you!Though you will learn many more details about these terms as you study the Teachings, these are good ones with which to start. Be careful not to think that the love of your life is your Essence Twin or that your business partner is your Task Companion. It's not that simple, unfortunately, at least not at first. All kinds of strong relationships get created over time and your Essence Twin and Task Companions are just a few of many.

  50. [Excerpt from TT: 2000-02-03] [Lights_Edge] What are some examples of common old soul beliefs and emotions that limit our conscious connection to essence? [Michael_Entity] Common Old Soul beliefs are: that you all already “know it all”, especially relative to the “poor little young souls”. That you deserve a financially abundant life free from effort; that your peers (other Older Souls) are weird (even as you appear weird to them); that you are from another planet (We speak of this last one relative to its preoccupation). Others are, that you are alone; that you do not fit in; that you must suffer; that if you can just ride out this life, it will all be over; that you are “tired”; that you are done. These are just a few. We realize each of you will have your versions of these and others, as well. When these beliefs (or ones you identify) can become acknowledged, we suggest the fastest way to reconnect to Essence would be through laughter, pleasure, or through tears. These three biological functions are directly related to contact with Essence, and in most instances, a “pure connection”. We mean “pure” in the sense that it is quite difficult to be self-judging in the moment of actual true tears, true laughter or true pleasure. As we have said in many instances with your little group, Tears are the biological reaction to Truth. We now add that Laughter is the biological reaction to Oneness (Energy/Beauty), and Pleasure is the biological reaction to Love.
