I just heard about some community organizers who started something called Solidarity Sundays. https://www.solidaritysundays.org/about/our-story/ Basically, people start a group in their community to get together to organize around a specific issue. It can be an issue that is relevant only to the community or an issue that affects a larger area. Seems like a great resource to work on a cause. I learned about it from the podcast Politically Re-active and the episode about the authors who wrote the book Rad American Women. Men are welcome to the events.

If you live in the U.S. here's an easy way to contact your House and Senate representatives. It's called Resistbot. https://resistbot.io/ How it works: You text resistbot. You put in your zip code and your name and it prompts you to write a letter to your senators right there in your messaging app, then it faxes your text as a letter to your senators. Simple. If you also put in your address it will fax letters to your congressional representatives in the House. Here's the list of representatives who voted to repeal the ACA: https://www.nytimes.com/interactive/2017/05/04/us/politics/house-vote-republican-health-care-bill.html?_r=1 You can use resistbot to let your representatives who voted to take away your healthcare know how you feel about it. You know, like how you will vote against them during the midterm elections and how their careers will be over. They work for us, not the other way around. Then let your senators know you don't want them to vote in favor of it. The bill still has to go through the senate to before it hits 45's desk to be signed into law. There's still time.

So I've joined up with a new movement within the Democratic Party that is looking to make a coordinated push to elect representatives who will not be beholden to corporations or special interests, and to oust the dominant, "corporate" wing of the party. Their primary goal once in power is to reform election and campaign finance so that the people have real control of their elected officials again. I think this is an important initiative, and one worth supporting. https://justicedemocrats.com/home-1/?utm_expid=138498668-0.DbzB_JSuQ6u6dZl0XxJRfw.1&utm_referrer=https%3A%2F%2Fduckduckgo.com%2F
