    Energy Report: AUGUST 2009

July marked the rather awkward, yet enthusiastic, leap into the exploration of the Attitude for the year, which is IDEALIST. Most entered July on a wave of Passion generated over the previous 3 months of April, May, and June in which Passion, symbols, and identity were explored, shaken, and some left behind, making way for a sense of renewal in the months ahead. Many of you welcomed the energy of encouragement for improvement and betterment by your own standards. But it appears to us that, for many, August has "fallen flat" in its sense of promise and improvement. At best, most of our students appear to be in a state of Inertia, the negative pole of this year's Goal of Flow. At worst, a quiet, deep (and for some, a secret) disappointment has sprung within and August has turned into a sensation of weight that must simply be endured, worked through, processed. We say "at best and at worst" only for convenience as a way of describing one end of the spectrum as being fairly distracting, similar to the rowing of a boat upstream, whereas the other end off the spectrum is still a sensation of going upstream, but with a dragging anchor to contend with, as well. If these states are familiar to you, it is more than likely a familiar case of Naivety, the negative pole of Idealism. Your standards set high, your expectations set high, your enthusiasm set high, and as August has unfolded, you have discovered the depth of effort between what you envisioned and where you are. It is not uncommon. Setting your vision high, igniting your enthusiasm, and then either feeling as if you are falling short within a limited time, or simply incapable of fulfilling that vision, can cause a sense of crash and burn, or at the very least, a sense of running in place. For some of our students, this collapse in enthusiasm has come because of that perceived gap between what is envisioned and where one is, but for others it has come because life has thrown you a curve "just when you were ready to dive in to your improvement," or so it seems. What we would suggest to those who feel this inertia and weight is to realize that this is exactly a part of your process. Often this collapse of enthusiasm can be consuming, which can then lead to the relinquishing of all concern, but it does not have to be. The entire point of the collapse was proportional to your passion and intent to improve life and fulfill a vision. What is often not understood about the intent to improve the life is that when that intent is genuine, then the improvement is genuine. When improvement is genuine, it is a rooting that must take place, and when something new is planted in place something that was no longer growing or nurturing you, then that old rooting is uprooted. You are in the uprooting phase of your passionate effort to improve upon your life toward your ideal. What has come up as far back as the beginning of July for some, and for most during the last week of July through this second week of August, are pivotal experiences that will change you in ways that experiences have rarely changed you, if you choose to reap the lessons that have been be brought to bear. It would be safe for us to say that if your end of July through August 15th have been less than spectacular, less than fulfilling, less than fruitful, and quite frankly more than disappointing, more than disheartening, and more than distracting from your enthusiastic vision, then you were more than likely deeply sincere in your intent to make this year "count" as a pivotal year in your self-development and direction, and that you may be missing the point of what has come to the surface during these past weeks. Some of you may find that our description of disappointment and distraction to be too familiar for it to stand out as being anything new, so we will leave it to you to intuit the validity of what we describe. For some, the experience we describe above may be a repetitive pattern, or for others, the description is too vague. We can only say that for those who are experiencing the process of enthusiasm and intention for a pivotal year toward an ideal, what we describe will hit home. An aside: Keep in mind that we describe in our energy reports the patterns that are most noticeable and have the greatest momentum, much like the kind of weather report your geographical area is generating. This weather, if it actually manifests, is valid for anyone participating in it, i.e. having to travel in it, walk in it, etc, but may only be peripheral for others who are in a climate-controlled room, or focused intently on matters that do not take them "outside." The same could be said about the energy reports and those "out in the weather" vs those who are not, so to speak. For those who might not relate to any given report, a different report would have to be given to them, relative to that person's specific world at the time. For those who do relate to this report, we would suggest going back to read our February Report, focusing on the dynamics of FLOW. We would also suggest letting your disappointments, heartaches, grief, disorientation, weight, distraction, and disheartening moments give you the seeds of change that have come from the uprooting, or the displaying, or the glaring redirection needed for you to fulfill your visions, to honor your ideals. The information, wisdom, trust, and gifts are there. We do not say this to be poetic. It is simply true, or at least it is true that you do have the capability and strength for extracting the meaning from your recent experiences in a way that the experience becomes information, wisdom, trust, or a gift. [Note: The February 2009 Energy Report is apparently lost.] We would like to add a word about Enlightenment, as we play this Position within many of our students' Support Circle: We will first say that "enlightenment" is simply a building of a structure through which one can make sense of life. It is not a goal, nor is it a state, so much as it is a natural ingredient in the process of evolution. Even your "a-HA!" moments are not moments of enlightenment, so much as they are punctuations in the book of enlightenment you write with your experiences. One of the greater steps of enlightenment, and one that is taken over and over across many lifetimes, is the submersion into experiences that are overwhelming, deeply disappointing, painfully disheartening, defeating, or distracting, and finally grasping the truth that you are allowed to feel what you feel when you are in those experiences; that you are allowed to be overwhelmed, disappointed, disheartened, distracted, and to feel defeated; that to fight these feelings, to ignore them, to shame them, to contain them, to color them with pleasantries, to rise above them, etc. only leads to addictions, sedation, therapy, and other methods of securing False Personality at the gates of life to protect you from either feeling anything associated with these experiences, or to protect you from others seeing that you are feeling anything associated with these experiences. We would call this "Endarkenment." Endarkenment is not opposite to Enlightenment, but are much like Hate and Love. Hate is not the opposite of Love, it is a misunderstanding and distortion of Love, or, in other words, both are descriptions of a kind of intimacy. In that same way, both Enlightenment and Endarkenment are attempts to make sense of life, but Endarkenment is a delusion, a distortion of the structure that helps make sense of life, and often an angry insistence of the meaning of things as if this may never change. And so it is that many of you have stumbled upon your Endarkenment, holding up to the surface of your life what it is that you have insisted is true about your life, that contradicts your passionate higher vision, your ideal. For some of you this is quite dramatic, and for others of you this may simply be a bitter undertone in your days, but you will recognize what we describe if this has been the case for you in the past 6 weeks or so, and for some of you, this has not yet happened for you. If you are one who has set out this year to make this a pivotal year, we would say that it is likely that you would be stumbling upon your own Endarkenment in the weeks to come, and this information may be of help. August has no significant global or community shifts, but it appears to us that many of our students have fairly profound sets pivotal days within the month of August. Again, though it is unusual for us to emphasize this in such a way, those of you who understand this report, will understand so with a clarity that further validates our resonance with you as students. We rarely remind you of this, particularly for the sake of our position as a teacher, and for the sake of exemplifying the valid weight of such words when said with full presence; and though it is not unheard of that we say this when we feel it most important and appropriate, we do wish to say now that it is true that you are not alone, that we do care, and that it is true that we love you. We do not share our teaching flippantly. Most of you who work with us for any length of time are not doing so as a novelty. We have a relationship with you, and that can often be forgotten in the intellectual emphasis of our teaching. But our higher perspective does not exempt us from these sensitive states of resonance with you, it simply allows us to know love for you more profoundly than we can express within the sentimental distortions of language. We do not bring all of this up randomly, of course, but to speak to some of our students who will have stumbled upon a stage of Endarkenment. The words we share in this report that would normally have been seen as uncharacteristic of our communication, will probably be heard more clearly than usual without contradiction to our usual communication. Endarkenment, as it gives way to Enlightenment, can often open one up to a great sensitivity and clarity of true communication, stripped of sentimentality, pleasantries, and other False Personality tendencies, not only between yourself and others, but between Personality and Essence, and beyond. In the same way that our words expressing resonance with you may be heard more clearly, so it is that many of you may find in the weeks to come, a heightened renewal of contact and clarity with your own guides and support groups, both physical and non-physical. [note: every year has a pattern of energy that can be described as a kind of "personality," so the energy reports are Michael's interpretation of that energy using the Overleaf System; these are not predictions, but merely observations of momentum and pattern generated by actions and choices, similar to how weather patterns can be observed and reported.]
  2. May 16, 2002 Troy Tolley, Channel You and your attitude [M_Entity] Hello to all of you. We are here. We understand the topic to be that of Attitudes as they are defined within our teaching. Of course, there are 7 Attitudes, as there are 7 of every other Overleaf in our system. The 7 Attitudes are the Neutral or Assimilative PRAGMATIST, the Inspirational Stoic and Spiritualist, the Expressional Skeptic and Idealist, and the Actional Cynic and Realist. The Attitudes are specifically your personal means to interpret reality. The Attitudes could easily be said to be The 7 Basic Philosophies, as much of what is our more complete system now has been found isolated in various teachings throughout the ages. Each Attitude can easily find a correlation of a philosophy, which can shed a great deal of light on your personal Attitude. The Attitude could be said to be the “pivot” or “hinge” within our Personality System around which all other facets of your Personality move. Because the Attitude is intrinsically linked to your Intellect, the Attitude can “make or break” your sense of peace, trust, wholeness, etc. Whether you are Intellectually Centered or not, you still have an Intellect, and that Intellect works hard to interpret and make sense of reality. So, too, does your Attitude. It will go a long way toward freeing you from the traps of the Attitude and Intellect if you understand that it is not necessarily “the point” to “make sense” of reality, because literally, it is the opposite: your senses MAKE reality. Though we say your Attitude “interprets” reality, it may be more effective to understand that your Attitude “filters” reality. Both are valid descriptions. Though an Attitude is far from an imposition, it CAN be a limitation if you find you are not able to function within your ;particular Attitude's full spectrum of use. It can easily be said that, from the absolute worst struggles, to the most trivial of frustrations, these experiences are directly a reflection of how you are using your Attitude. When your Attitude is in its Negative Pole, regardless of what that may be, you have determined that you have completed your need for input for your basic philosophical stance. When the Negative Pole of the Attitude is in control, reality loses its creativity and flexibility, and instead becomes a tangled mess that must be understood immediately, even if the means to do so have not even come to pass. We can speak generally of Attitudes because the basic experience is quite consistent; it is the HOW of it all that is different among them. For instance, an Idealist in the Negative Pole and a Cynic in the Negative Pole will both share the struggle of trying to understand something within a limitation of input, but the Idealist will “naively” bumble his way through, while the Cynic will use “denigration” to destroy anything outside his comprehension. In the case of the Cynic, we do not mean an attempt to literally destroy, but that the Cynic will actively fight to remove any contradictions from his determined perception. In the case of each Axis of Attitude, you will find when they are in the Negative Pole, the reaction of the Attitude is to eliminate the Positive Pole experiences. When the Stoic is “resigned,” he will use inspiration to lead others into resignation, to validate his own perceptions. The Spiritualist will use inspiration to impose his beliefs on others as strongly as possible, to remove the need for verifying his perceptions. The Skeptic will simply express strong suspicions, riling others into an insecure space of perception, to remove the need for investigation. The Idealist will naively take on lofty goals and intentions, either with or without awareness, setting himself up for failure, so as to remove the experience of coalescence, which is the bringing together of parts to make a whole. The Cynic will actively remove all that contradicts his own determined perception. The Realist will insist that her perceptions are based in fact, even against the strongest of feedback that she is inaccurate, so as to remove her from having to be Objective. In addition, the Pragmatist will continue doing things, thinking about things, expressing things, exactly as they have worked for her to her satisfaction, regardless of the fact that input is dictating that there are more practical ways for the same things. The reason the Negative Pole is so strongly interested in eliminating the Positive Pole experiences is because the Attitude is the “brother or sister” to the Chief Features. We speak of these traits with anthropomorphic descriptions, only for the sake of relating, but we do not wish for you to mistake this means of description as if these parts of you are a separate consciousness. We do not say that they are, nor do we imply that they are. Because of our limitation of time, we will quickly point out what we believe may be the most important concern for your understanding of the Attitudes. Since the Attitude can be your prison or your means to complete freedom, we believe that when you are struggling in any area of your life, the first place to look would be to your Attitude. In understanding your Attitude, you would clearly be able to see that you may be in the Negative Pole, but the fastest and most effective means to move yourself out of it, is simply to choose a different angle of perception. Since the Attitude, while in the Negative Pole, so intently seeks to remove the experience of the Positive Pole of your Attitude, the “trick” is to use the Positive Pole of the Attitude that shares your Axis. If the effort is made, within minutes your life can change; or at least your attitude toward it, which can then lead to changing your life. When the Spiritualist is lost in her Beliefs and continues to find she is blocked from real, fulfilling Verification of her perceptions, it can free her to “slide” to the Positive Pole of Stoicism, which would be Tranquility. When Belief is in control, there is usually a strong need to get others to share in the belief, even if you, yourself have not Verified its place in your life. When the Spiritualist slides to Tranquility, she relaxes and surrenders gently to her perceptions. This then allows her to Verify things for herself, instead of finding others to do it for her. On the other hand, the Stoic may have given up on his life, resigning, which is a passive stance to the life. If he were to slide to Verification, he would be able to find that much of what he has resigned himself to is not even valid anymore as an imposition. We may not be able to go through all of the Attitudes with examples, but we will note that the Pragmatist has the ability to slide to ANY of the other Attitudes as a means to free himself from Dogma. We will now take any questions you may have, so we can respond to you, rather than use your time teaching what may already be available in print. QUESTIONS [MDFSage_Val] Can you describe a “spectrum of use” for an Idealist, or is this more an individual fragment thing/issue? [M_Entity] An Idealist lives within the spectrum of being “cursed” and “blessed” with the constant want for improvement. The Idealist has such a wider vision of most things that he can see patterns where others cannot. Within those patterns, he can also see how they can be improved, manipulated, or altered for the better. The struggle then comes from the Idealist being able to see the big picture, but not putting the effort into defining the STEPS it will take to get there. Therein lies the spectrum from Naivety to Coalescence. An Idealist can see that he has potential to run a marathon, but instead of taking the steps to prepare, he simply, naively runs in the marathon, until he collapses from the pain he could have avoided. [Suzanne] Michael, How would be best for an idealist & a spiritualist to relate to each other, one expresses while the other inspires? [M_Entity] The Spiritualist will always interpret relationships in terms of how inspiring they are, while the Idealist will interpret the relationships in terms of how much improvement is coming from them. [Suzanne] Rather interesting, as it can compliment. [M_Entity] If the Spiritualist feels her relationships are not inspiring, or that she is not inspiring, she will lose interest. The Idealist must feel as if the relationships are somehow improving each other, or he will feel they are not worth it. [Suzanne] Thank you, I understand better now [M_Entity] We are using pronouns randomly, for the sake of grammar. We are not intending anything to be specifically assigned to a gender. [Suzanne] Understood that too, thanks. [M_Entity] The Spiritualist could be said to be “cursed” and “blessed” with the philosophy that everything has potential. Within that spectrum, you will find the experiences ranging from blind faith or belief to valid verification of those potentials. We will point out one last point for your consideration before concluding tonight. When you are in the Negative Pole of your Attitude, you may find you are behaving more and more like the Attitude sharing your Axis, or attracting, or attracted to, those who share your Axis. This is your inherent move toward balance in perception and even if this is done without awareness, it manages, at least, to continue to give the option of choosing how you interpret your reality. So, an Idealist may tend to be very critical and skeptical as a means to balance his Idealism; the Spiritualist may find she is becoming less and less emotional and more passive as she seeks balance for her Beliefs. We shared as much as we could within your time allotted. We have much more to say about this topic, of course. We will conclude here. Good Night to all of you.
  3. Energy Report September 2009 [note: Every year has a pattern of energy that can be described as a kind of "personality," so the energy reports are Michael's interpretation of that energy using the Overleaf System; these are not predictions, but merely observations of momentum and pattern generated by actions and choices, similar to how weather patterns can be observed and reported.] September appears to be moving in the direction of a "fresh start" for many of our students. It is the last month of emphasis on the Attitude of Idealist, which could be said to be the exploration of the "philosophy of improvement." This emphasis on the Attitude began in July, launched from what some may have been considered "high hopes," moved through August's deep sense of disappointment, distraction, and disheartenment with life as Ideals were measured against reality, and now moves into September with a more solid sense of footing. The extremes of Idealism having been explored, most can now find the balance between Naivety and Coalescence, the negative and positive poles of Idealism. For most, this appears to be showing up as some form of "fresh start," as we said, and this fresh start is most likely marked by inclusion of the Moving Center. By this we mean that ACTION is the key that appears to have been missing in the equation of your ideals for improvement of your life, self, relationships, etc. For some, this may be marked by a literal TO DO list; for others this may show up as a literal move from one location to another; and for others it may show up in the form of traveling; but in all cases, it would show up as some form of MOVEMENT. When the Attitude of the Personality is in the negative pole, it brings down the entire Personality, in most cases. The Attitude could be said to be the hub of the Personality, so to speak, around which all other components function. In other words, if your primary philosophy about life is askew, everything is askew. Therefore, the key to True Personality, (which is the energies that are "you" when governed by conscious Choice) is held in the Attitude. When one wishes to change one's Attitude, there are many ways to do so, but one of the most effective ways is to engage the most-neglected Center (Moving, Intellectual, or Emotional) in the Personality. On an individual level, this would vary, but when speaking in terms of participating in, and contributing to, the collective weather of energy patterns, this would be determined by the most common denominator that is generated out of a group, and in this case, this year, it is the Moving Center. To participate in, and contribute to, the collective pattern of Idealism this year, it would be done through the participation and contribution toward MOVING, or taking action. Despite the fact that the Moving Center has been evident in global and local events in varying degrees, it has not been as evident for many on a Personal level beyond Frustration, a negative pole description of the Moving Center, which can also be described as Frenetic. Frustration is generated when energy is moved in a direction that lacks fulfillment of intention, whereas Productivity, the positive pole, is the fulfillment of intention. If improvement is intended, then not only will thinking and feeling be required, but action will be, as well. A renovation job is not fulfilled by mere excitement and blueprints alone; someone needs to DO something. And the same goes for moving Idealism out of Naivety and into Coalescence. Put another way, you are the one who has to do the work to accomplish, transform, or embrace what you have set out to accomplish, transform, or embrace. To go further behind the dynamics that can help to bring the Idealism to the positive pole, we would suggest looking at what helps the Moving Center continue to work Productively, rather than Frustratingly: LAUGHTER. Laughter is a biological product from the higher functions of the Moving Center, which then fuels the lower, more mundane levels of the Moving Center toward Productivity, which then provides the conscious and creative navigation toward fulfillment of an Ideal (or on an individual level, whatever Attitude may be of relevance.) Laughter is vital for Productivity, and though we do refer to the physical elements of laughing, we also refer to the internal laughter that allows you to not take yourself or your life so seriously. There is a vast difference between treating yourself seriously, and taking yourself seriously. Treating yourself seriously emphasizes you as a valuable and meaningful Being, while taking yourself seriously merely emphasizes and amplifies (and defends) the question of your value and meaning. In other words, treating yourself seriously is simply another way of describing Confidence, whereas taking yourself too seriously is Insecurity. Treating yourself seriously, ironically, means being able to laugh at yourself and your experiences, creatively navigating through your hardships and disappointments, and being able to decide on your own what those experiences mean to you. September, then, may not only be a month of activity and movement, but a month that may be peppered with downtime for reflection on the comedy vs tragedy aspects of your life. Some of you may be ready to, at least, chuckle at this year's frustrations, absurdities, and tragedies, both in terms of experiences or in terms of your behavior and choices, shaking your head affectionately at the realization of your confidence and trust that has been built within you from the experiences. That confidence and trust is there, regardless of your realization of it, but your realization of it transforms it from a hidden stockpile into an collection of accessible tools for you to use for fulfilling your Ideal; your chosen direction of improvement. We remind you that we speak to those participating in, and contributing to, the collective energies we can see moving in larger patterns, but it is just as true that we have pockets of students who do not have any interest in "improvement," or Ideals, and have opted out. For those who have opted out of this energy, we have seen a rather fast-paced, but rather smooth, momentum of the year, bringing with it a sense of movement and change, but without such fluctuations and challenges. These fragments will seem to be moving right along in their protected bubbles of reality that seem untouched by the reality of ups and downs that others are experiencing, but neither reality is any more or less desirable or valid. The reality that is valid and desirable to you is the one you are experiencing; there are no exceptions. September 5th through the 7th is a NEXUS for many of our students, but just as many will experience their Nexus at various points (individually) over the days between the 15th and the 20th. This means some may be the 15th through the 17th, while others may be the 16th through the 18th, etc., but most will be around 3 days. A Nexus is a pivotal period of time where collective choices either create a convergence (a coming together of group paths/realities) or a divergence (a splintering of group paths/realities). There tend to be themes around these that help describe the direction the Nexus might take. These happen fairly regularly on a Personal level, and almost monthly on a Community level, and one to three times a year on a Global level. This Nexus is a Community Nexus, which usually means that this shift occurs in pockets of time close together that eventually "add up" to the collective shift of your community. A "Community" would be anyone remotely meaningful within your social or family circle. If you communicate with that person, he or she is a part of your community. This means that those within your more immediate circle would most likely move through the Nexus together, or close together. Keep in mind that having contact with someone is not the same thing as communicating. Not everyone with whom you have contact, even on a regular basis, is someone with whom you communicate (engage in meaningful exchange). This Nexus is a divergence, which would mean that most of you may feel a diversion of directions, a parting of paths, a scattering of attention from within your community, but this is not a "bad thing." When a divergence happens on a personal level, parts of you literally spin off into new realities that pursue different paths of reality. When a divergence happens on a community level, the community either comes together to address the various needs of the community, or the community dissolves. For most of our students, we see the emphasis moving in the direction of addressing various goals, directions, and needs within the community as a means to continue nurturing that community. This is not to say that some will not dissolve, but that most will simply find a way to multi-task toward fulfillment of group ideals. To the degree that your community addresses its needs and works together toward an ideal, is the degree to which October, November, and December would generate prosperity, feelings of abundance, and the nurturing that this year has been moving toward as a Server year. To the degree that your community loses its sense of humor, disregards its needs, and does not act, is the degree to which October, November, and December would be submerged in the exploration of panic, distraction, intolerance, and victimization, the hallmarks of Impatience and Martyrdom. Whether now, or in the future of this life, or in between lives, or in a future life, or at the end of your Physical Plane incarnations, all of you will eventually discover one of the most profound truths of your existence, and that is: Despite what you have been taught by others, or have interpreted through your experiences, life is hilarious. Put in terms more expressive of this channel: "Life is a hoot!" This Truth is not a cruel or dispassionate statement, but quite the opposite: full of deep compassion and trust. When a parent sees the humor in the "tragic" stumbling of a child, or the "lethal" embarrassment of a teen, he or she is merely seeing the bigger picture of ultimate lack of threat to that child or teen, and so it is that you begin to see your own and others' experiences as ultimately without threat, therefore leaving room for the spectrum of humor, across the affectionate shaking of the head, rolling of the eyes, snickers, giggles, chuckles, and even into blatant bursts of laughter. Extracting, interpreting, or creating laughter from tragedy is part of manifesting one's Essence as an Older Soul. You are not expected by any means to rush into that truth, and nor should you expect that of yourself as some sign of enlightenment, unless you choose to impose that expectation upon yourself, of course. This truth is one that naturally comes to light at the pace in which you integrate and comprehend your experiences, and there simply is no race to do such a thing. Many do not "get it" until the final breaths of the final life, while others "get it" in bits and pieces throughout every lifetime. It is never beneficial to force this process of realization because then one moves away from humor and and into hysterics. Life is hilarious, not hysterical. Hysterics is a defense against, and an evasion of, experiences, not an embrace and comprehension. For those of you who wonder if you've experienced the truth of the humor of your life, we can say that if you experience a tragic or challenging experience of your past as now being nostalgic to any degree, then you have a hint at the beauty that is ultimately your life. Everything taken from your lives will ultimately range from nostalgic to hilarious. We remind you that humor is simply the resolution of paradox, which is when two or more surprising, unexpected, or conflicting elements come together and then resolve into comprehension. One thing that every reunited entity shares is a "good laugh" as we go through the collective catalog of lifetimes and the comical nature of tragedy is even more glaringly revealed. Some of you already suspect, and it is valid, that we do often share "laughs" with even your own Essence, but we do promise that we never laugh AT you, only WITH you. KEY PHRASE FOR THIS MONTH: Everyone is ultimately safe. Everyone. Including me.
  4. NWM - Aug 15, 2015 - Blind Spots of Attitude Channel: Troy Tolley MEntity: Hello to you each of you. We are here, now. We will begin. ClaireC: Hi! Diane_HB: Hi Michael! MEntity: Today we will speak to the "blind spots" of your Attitude. Though we have clear delineation of each Overleaf in terms of polarities, there can come a time in the evolution of an Essence when all of the "tricks" of fear, Chief Features, and Negative Poles are exhausted as methods defense, division, and isolation. This can take many lifetimes to exhaust because every lifetime brings with it a new Personality, so all of these methods are still "new" every single time. Fearful choices and reactions can be used over and over and then overcome, only to be found anew in the next life. However, the older the soul, the thinner that "veil" is between the Personality and Essence, and you begin to live AS Essence. And Essence knows all of the tricks of fear. We speak in convenient terms here that may seem to personify fear as something independent from you, but that is not the case. We know you know this. As the Personality evolves in a lifetime, and particularly when studying and applying a teaching such as this, it can become quite obvious and clear when one is in the Negative Pole by definition, and choices can be made to remedy this. These means of navigation, choice, and self-observation are quite beneficial to reducing unwarranted fear. And while this can reduce the hold of Chief Features by up to 90% and beyond, it will not address the blind spots that each of you develop. These blind spots are your downfall. They are your bad days. They are your "people suck" scenarios. They are your "I suck" scenarios. They are your haunting undercurrents of pointlessness, or your ominous dread that you keep in check. In short, they are your means of evading responsibility for your fear. The fear we speak of will be relative to your Chief Feature, but we likely not speak to those today. We speak of the means by which that fear gets a hold and becomes acceptable to you in ways that perpetuate the hold of Chief Feature so that it is comforting, addictive, and "sensible." Before we continue: do each of you know your Attitude? Name your Attitude now, if you do. PeterK: Skeptic. Diane_HB: Pragmatist ViP: Spiritualist Maureen: Realist ClaireC: Spiritualist Bobby: Pragmatist Diane_HB: Troy/Geraldine are Idealists MEntity: Keep in mind that you may not like what we have to say today. Diane_HB: LOL ViP: hmm MEntity: We will prioritize details based on the Attitudes here, then expand into those that are not listed, if time permits. PRAGMATIST The Pragmatist, basically, interprets the world in terms of WHAT WORKS. The Pragmatist at his or her best has a keen sense of efficiency and elegance. We have defined "elegance" as that economy of energy that gives the greatest amount of return for the least amount of expenditure. When the Pragmatist is in the Negative Pole, it can be quite obvious as Dogma. The Pragmatist thinks that it is his or her way "or the highway," or they simply continue to repeat and impose methods that work for themselves even as they may not work for others. There are many ways that Dogma can show up, but it is often fairly obvious in that it is immovable and unwavering in perception. However, the Blind Spot can be far more "sensible" and more difficult to call out within the self as a Pragmatist, or for others to call out in the Pragmatist. Because the Pragmatist sees the world in terms of WHAT WORKS, their Blind Spot can be related to any area where they do not wish to do that work. If it is someone else's problem, it is THEIR problem. If it is not an issue that the Pragmatist struggles with, then it is a silly issue. If it is a struggle that the Pragmatist has overcome, then why cannot others do the same? The Pragmatist sensibly falls into Dogma by dismissing, distancing, and even denigrating the oh-so-inefficient struggles of others. The Pragmatist Blind Spot may then be described as INSENSITIVITY. It is the tiresome extra effort necessary to inefficiently empathize. Diane_HB: ? MEntity: Solutions to struggles seem quite obvious to the Pragmatist who is not directly involved with that struggle or that type of struggle: simply stop struggling. Do something else. Walk away. Do not respond. Let it go. When the Pragmatist finds this is his or her response to the struggles of another, it may be the Blind Spot in effect that allows him or her to justify Dogma. This is also true of his or her own struggles. There are times when this same policy is imposed upon the self. Why am I upset? That is so inefficient. I can just walk away and leave it alone. Or "suck it up." The emphasis shifts only to WHAT WORKS and away from the WHY of what is being experienced. Life is inefficient. Experience is not organized. It is messy. For the Pragmatist, the Blind Spot convinces him or her that if it is a struggle, if it is messy, if it is not efficient, it is not worth it. It does not work. As Pragmatists, if you find this oversimplification in effect, you are probably being blind to the messy depths of an experience that is either yours to experience, or yours to help another through. You are being Insensitive. Do the Pragmatists relate? Bobby: Oh yes! Diane_HB: Yes MEntity: SPIRITUALISTS The Spiritualist, basically, sees life as if it has never been seen before. There is an awe as an undercurrent to the basic philosophy of the life when at its best. The Spiritualist looks for signs, interconnectedness, resonance, and meaning in "everything." This is why they must VERIFY, the Positive Pole. So much of "everything" can be interpreted as messages, interconnectedness, signs, etc., that life can become a din of symbolism that drowns out all of the messages. When the Spiritualist is overwhelmed by the messages and meaning of life, they can retreat into an isolating system of BELIEFS that removes the noise of life, and simply decides what is true, decides what people mean, decides what will happen, decides what happened, and that is that. If the Spiritualist believes it, then it happened. That is that. Now the world is interpreted through that system of Belief, and the inconvenience of Verifying lets the Spiritualist simply decide what is true. This is the obvious polarization within the Spiritualist, and most older souls begin to realize this and make the effort to Verify. They do not let themselves simply decide what is true; they ask questions. They question themselves. They are OK with being wrong. They allow room for nuance and context so that nothing is only True or Not True. However, the Blind Spot then comes into play as these polarities come to be navigated more consciously. For the Spiritualist, this Blind Spot is EXCUSES. The Spiritualist can tend to justify his or her behaviors, attitude, and choices by deferring to "the universe" as the force behind the reasoning for those choices, attitudes, and behaviors. By "the universe" we mean circumstances, behaviors of others, obligations, responsibilities, expectations of meaning and message. Though all Attitudes may be use this method, it is often the Spiritualists who "leave it up to the Universe," or "we'll see what happens," etc. The Spiritualist takes a passive seat to the efforts necessary for choice. This allows two things: Beliefs to stay intact, and responsibility to be evaded. In other words, the Spiritualist may find that he or she always has an excuse. If the Spiritualist is upset, there is a "reason." It is not merely that he or she interpreted events through Belief. If the Spiritualist does not succeed at an expectation or intention, then it is "the universe" who decided this, not that the Spiritualist merely need alter or adapt efforts. And so BELIEF remains unquestioned. Do the Spiritualists relate? ViP: yes ClaireC: Oh yes. MEntity: IDEALISTS The Idealist, basically, sees life in terms of how it SHOULD BE, or how it can be improved. Though all fragments will navigate with some level of expectation, the Idealist navigates almost entirely based in expectations. Expectations are healthy. They are a means of navigation and help one to shape choices and actions and feelings in response to the possibilities of life. Both Spiritualists and Idealists are quite familiar with rocky terrain of expectation, but the Idealist takes this to a new level. The Spiritualist can tend to have expectations of the world around him or her as a means of navigating potential, but the Idealist can tend to generate expectations from others of himself or herself that the Spiritualist can avoid. The Idealist in the Negative Pole can be obvious in his or her naive approach to fulfilling an ideal. They set high expectations without considering the necessary components that need to be in place for coming together to fulfill the ideal. While the Spiritualist will make Excuses for his or her disappointments and failing of potential, the Idealist will COMPARTMENTALIZE. The Blind Spot, however, we will describe as REPERCUSSIONS. The Idealist, when in Naivety, will distance himself or herself from the Repercussions of failed expectations by using compartmentalizing. The Positive Pole of the Idealist is a Coalescing of parts that must come together to fulfill the ideal, so when the Idealist is in the Negative Pole, the parts become divided and compartmentalized so that the whole picture can no longer be seen, experienced, felt. The Repercussions are avoided, ignored, or distanced from the self. This is an insidious form of Naivety Troy can attest to his relating to all of this. As may Geraldine. REALIST The Realist, basically, sees life FOR WHAT IT IS. Sometimes "it sucks" and sometimes it does not. When the Realist is in the Positive Pole, it is not personal. They are OBJECTIVE. Life happens. Choices have consequences. Actions have impact. Feelings are important, but not the truth. The Realist knows all of this and interprets life and experiences accordingly. It can be quite obvious when the Realist falls into Subjectivity because then things become personal. The Objectivity is lost and Subjectivity is in effect. The distance and clarity is lost in favor of how personal something has become. When things get personal for the Realist, it is unnerving, disorienting, and even paralyzing, though sometimes a lashing out can occur to help force a false distance to return. By "personal" we mean that the individual can no longer see himself or herself as PART of a dynamic, but begin to see themselves as sucked into middle or as the focus of the dynamic The Realist in the Negative Pole can be quite obvious as their defenses tend to rise quite high. But as the soul grows older, the Realist can begin to recognize these defenses and transform a "personal" experience so that it moves from being Subjective to being Objective, and the Realist is returned to be a part of the dynamic, instead of the focus or center of it. But the Blind Spot of the Realist is INCONVENIENCE. The older soul Realist can navigate the precarious balance between Objectivity and Subjectivity, but heaven forbid you interfere with their convenience. This can "set them off" into Subjectivity faster than even your pressing and imposing problems that spill unwelcomed into their space. The more inconvenient you are, the more you can send the Realist into the Negative Pole. The more inconvenienced the Realist, the more he or she can feel he or she has been imposed upon in ways that lock them into Subjectivity. We do not say this mockingly. It is not a superficial term we use here. Convenience is a prized state that the Realist works hard to secure in his or her life. They know life can be hard, so they hone the life into ways, paths, and patterns that uphold the quality and benefit of convenience. This is a natural byproduct of having such an Attitude, and it is a healthy response to the acknowledgement of the range of experience that life can bring. Hardship and struggle WILL happen, so why not secure as many conveniences as possible to help balance that out. This helps the Realist, then, remain Objective. But it can become their Blind Spot, as well. If inconvenienced, Subjectivity can take hold, and then the defenses come up. Does the attending Realist relate? Maureen: Yes ClaireC: And the friend of the Realist too. ? ViP: ? Maureen: I can see all the Blindspots of the other Attitudes, as well. ? MEntity: If we are doing our job correctly, all of these will be clearly represented among you and around you. Diane_HB: I can see them ClaireC: Very clearly. MEntity: SKEPTIC The Skeptic, basically, sees life as if it to be inherently questioned and disproven. Put another way, the Skeptic sees life as something to Investigate. When the Skeptic is in the Positive Pole, the Skeptic is comfortable questioning assumptions, patient in his or her search and research for answers, and does not experience this constant questioning as anything more than a means to learn, understand, and build insights. The effort to disprove is not an effort to tear down, but to ensure that there is strength in the proof. The questioning is a means to flesh out meaning and depth, not to strip of value and integrity. The reason the emphasis is on disproof over proof is because there are far more claims in life than there are lack of claims. When the Skeptic falls into SUSPICION, he or she does not stop questioning or disproving, but does so from the premise that there are inherent and intentional deceit and hidden truths involved. The Blind Spot of the Skeptic, then, is DISSATISFACTION. This is a sense that nothing can truly satisfy the questions, the doubt, the investigation, and leaves the individual locked in Suspicion. The Skeptic can find that this Dissatisfaction is sensible and then continue in Suspicion, never truly learning or expanding in insight, but cycling through layers and layers of presumed deceit and lies and misinformation. This is another of the Attitudes that often has to learn that it is okay to be wrong, or that lack of solid validation and empirical evidence does not imply deceit. Does the attending Skeptic relate? PeterK: Yes, very much so. I have several files on my computer titled, "Investigation of ..." ClaireC: lol MEntity: We know we have not covered all Attitudes, but these are for those in attendance. We will now take your questions. We have about 10 minutes remaining. QUEUE IS OPEN ViP: Hi Michael, if a person slides from one Attitude to another, does that make them open to that Attitude's blind spot, as well as their own "native" blind spot? MEntity: The native Overleaf is key, but the additional Blind Spots can become double-blind spots. If you notice a Blind Spot that is not of your resting Attitude, you can use this insight to then see how that is serving that default Attitude. Bobby: Claire was forfeiting her question, so without elaborating due to time restraints, would you at least name the blind spot of the other two Attitudes: Stoic and Cynic? MEntity: STOIC - DISCONNECT; CYNIC - OBSESSION. PeterK: I often have trouble seeing possibilities. Is this related to my Skeptic blind spot? MEntity: Inherent in the Ordinal Attitudes is a more focused range of perception and interpretation. Inherent in the Cardinal or Exalted Attitudes comes the broader interpretations that require a greater sense of possibilities. Your focus is not a blind spot. You would not be able to truly Investigate if a wide range of possibilities were acceptable to you. It is a strength of Skeptic to narrow possibilities before they propagate into meaninglessness. This does not mean you will always find your answers, but it does mean you will have a greater probability of this than other Attitudes that may allow room for a wide range that is never validated. However, if Dissatisfaction has narrowed your sense of possibilities to such an extent that you are no longer searching for answers, but only searching for evidence to support your suspicions, then, yes, it can be related to that blind spot. We will conclude here for today. Good day to each of you. Goodbye, for now. Blindspot for STOIC was obtained by JanetE on 8/19/2015: MEntity: The Stoic, basically, sees the world as if it has all been seen before. Most things are not surprising. Most people are not surprising. Enthusiasm is not denied, but it is a prized resource that is used quite carefully. When the Stoic embraces the mundanity of life, there is a kind of TRANQUILITY that is embraced. Things and people are not required to be surprising. They are not required to entertain or be more than they are. There is a kind of peace in the familiar, rather than a boredom or resentment. This familiarity is not something that is clung to, but rather accepted as a force in life that is as meaningful as anything new and exciting. However, while the Stoic embraces the mundane, it is done so with the understanding that surprises will happen. They are as built into a life as mundanity. If the Stoic goes too long without a surprise, then the Attitude can fall into Resignation. If the Stoic is overwhelmed with too many surprises, then the Attitude can fall into Resignation. The Stoic, then, has her Blind Spot as DISCONNECT because she is either tired of the same old things being repeated and presented as if new and surprising when she presumes she already knows all there is to know or experience regarding that thing, or the Disconnect comes because too many new and exciting surprises are tossed into the mix that pushes the Stoic into Resignation. It becomes sensible to the Stoic to simply Disconnect, turn off, tune out, because it is all going to be the same things again and again anyway. It becomes sensible to the Stoic to simply Disconnect, turn off, tune out, because too much is too much and rather than navigate it, it simply needs to stop being the focus. When the Stoic finds she is tuning out, turning off, Disconnecting, it is likely because she has found it difficult to process too much of the same thing, or too much of a new thing. The return to Tranquility can come when the "too much" is removed from the equation, and is replaced with moderation, rather than shut down. In addition to this, the Stoic in Disconnect and Resignation can do well to remember Experiential Differentiation. This is the truth that, regardless of how many times one experiences something, there is always potential for that experience to bring something new, meaningful, and valuable. There is more we can say on this subject, of course, but this is a quick synopsis. Blindspot for CYNIC was obtained by Kurtis on 8/23/2015: MEntity: The Cynic, basically, sees the world in terms of opposing the obvious or appearances or common assumptions. The Cynic knows there is almost always more than meets the eye. The Cynic, then, is always looking beyond the surface, always willing to look in the opposite directions, always interested in the contents, not the packaging. This is CONTRADICTION. When in the Positive Pole, the Cynic simply Contradicts the obvious. This is similar to questioning, doubting, and allowing room for being wrong. However, when the Cynic falls into the Negative Pole of Denigration, it is because he cannot accept that what is known is all there is. The simple truth or the lack of complexity can trigger Denigration, or the breaking down of something or someone beyond its capacity to break down. It is Contradiction for the sake of contradiction rather than as a means to know more. The Cynic learns that sometimes, and more often than not, there is nothing more, no hidden or secret meaning, no blind dichotomy. Something or someone is simply what can be seen, experienced, and known. So the Cynic questions and then that is that. However, the Cynic can develop a Blind Spot that prompts them to continue questioning, continue breaking something or someone down, and this turns into an Obsession. Some of the most outlandish conspiracies are perpetuated by Cynics in Obsession. Denigration is seen as a necessary evil that is noble and important to impose, even as it means making up and stretching facts beyond recognition. The Spiritualist and Cynic are similar in their fall into "beliefs" in this regard.

    IDEALISM

*This is a summarized description using my own interpreted understandings and a mix of many quotes from Michael that can be read+studied in the source material below. Feel free to check in for updates, as more information may be gathered on this topic from newer sessions. IDEALISM- Philosophy of IMPROVING Idealism is chosen to see a broader perspective that helps fuel an unending sense of forward movement, and forges creativity. It is an Optimistic Stance. The Idealist sees as though everything can be improved upon and should be better. This means they’re constantly comparing, measuring, assessing, and sizing up to an ideal, and look where things are not of better quality. Idealists will always challenge where you stop expecting more of you, them, or others. On a day-to-day basis, they’re adepts at reading body language to see beyond facades and measured responses; and they’re the first to look at what isn’t said/done to see where patterns can be shifted. In -Naivety, he sets high expectations+ideals for himself+others but doesn't know how to fulfill those, or how/if they can be fulfilled- forgetting or ignoring the time, patience, steps and energy needed to get there, and ending up falling short, feeling it'll never come to be- disappointed+frustrated by how things are when they should be *this* way. Naivety can be fueled by expectation and demand that the pieces come together. He constantly pits you/him against what SHOULD be, or he continues to see the best in you/him even through any pain/neglect/abuse. Which prompts his BLIND SPOT of COMPARTMENTALIZING- ignoring, avoiding, or distancing from the REPERCUSSIONS of his failed expectations- so that the whole picture(of his failure to meet his ideals) can't be seen/felt/experienced any longer. To move from Naivety to Coalescence, the Idealist must Investigate what's missing as part of fulfilling his ideal. What information, communication, skills, steps, efforts, emotions, behaviors, improvements etc. are needed? This Idealist uses his critical faculties well. In +Coalescence then, he discerns what’s required for improvement, and brings together the steps, efforts and parts needed to fulfill his ideal or assessment, while allowing for setbacks in that process as information for redirection, rather than as burdens to his ideal's fulfillment. This Idealist may be very accurate in his assessment of someone/thing, but he always makes room for variables- he isn't conclusive. He sees patterns leading to the evolution of a person/event/thing, and moves toward supporting, creating or altering parts to fulfill that pattern. -------------------------- SOURCE MATERIAL: You and your Attitude Blind Spots of the Idealist Idealists in Social Situations Coalescence through Skepticism Member: Diane- Essence Report Member: Diane- CF Report Idealism, Martyrdom, Greed Tidbit on Coalescence September 2009 Energy Report July 2013 Energy Report August 2013 Energy Report September 2013 Energy Report Member: Nadine- Comparisons for Navigation vs Negation Idealist Community
  6. May 23, 2002 Troy Tolley, Channel Open Floor [M_Entity] Hello to all of you. We are here. And, yes, we will begin with an energy report. We realize some of you do find validation and benefit from these reports. For the following few weeks, it could be said that a theme of REGENERATION is at hand. Some may have seen the past month as showing signs of many things coming to an apparent “end,” but we have seen this as being a means to regenerate energy into new levels of Form to accommodate the broader climates of consciousness. Many things that are symbolic to you are “ending,” ranging from long-term television series to major changes in physical locations among friends and family. If you have noticed a theme of these “endings” and major changes, you are quite conscious of the effects of this passing Nexus, shifting a great deal in reality from being symbolic to being “REAL.” These shifts from symbolic to physical imply that a great deal of you incarnated are highly interested in making changes in your lives in a direction that would make your physical reality as accurately representing your internal ideals as possible. In other words, it appears more fragments are willing to use the Moving Center from the Positive Pole, more than has been the case in a long time. For the next 23 weeks, then, it would not be surprising if you find yourselves feeling pulled to “get out” more, to go for ponderous walks, dance, be playful, and surrender to an enthusiasm that may or may not be directional. A strong drive toward physical affection and embracing of people you normally would find challenging, appears to be a potential result of this regeneration. Things you have carried internally categorized as “unacceptable,” “annoying,” “agitating,” or any other abrasive term, will seem a general “waste” of energy to sustain. This is due to the second wave of energy moving out from the “terrorist” threats that brought down your World Trade Center Towers One and Two, and general war-related tensions from that. The productivity gained from major internal realizations and profound release of “old energy” is finally able to come into tangibility. There have been many “major” shifts on this planet and within your lifetime, but we would say that the passing Nexus has found more participants from a conscious level than we have ever seen. There is a general sense of “waking up” that we have not seen in nearly 25 years. The most meaningful suggestion we can give in light of this energy report is to gently, and with trust follow your impulses. Internal “Maps” and Essence-driven patterns for the life are more accessible than ever, for most of you. When we say to “follow your impulses,” we differentiate this from your “compulsions” and “addictions.” Impulses are gentle and easily dismissed, while compulsions have a force about them. This is not to say that some compulsions do not have valid, meaningful paths, but that Impulsions are usually more aligned with Essence, as Impulses are from a force you may consider from within, while Compulsions are derived from external feedback and stimulation. Both Compulsion and Impulsion are valid, but Compulsion is based in Personality, which may or may not be using data and feedback accurately, and Impulsion is derived from the desires of Essence. We do not dismiss the intelligence and accuracy of Personality. We did not say that, nor did we imply it. We merely point out the difference and the appropriate potential use of Impulsion in the context of the current energy. We will take your questions now, whether on the Energy Report, or otherwise. [mdfsage_val] How would an Idealist relate to the chief feature of Martyrdom/greed? [M_Entity] The Idealist sees everything in terms of how it can be improved. This can be a benefit, in that it can help a fragment find ways to successfully evolve many things within the life, Personality, and Essence, but it can also lead to tremendously oppressive bouts of comparing. When the Idealist is seeing through the Positive Poles, he can see the patterns that would lead to an evolution of an event, person, or thing, and he will move toward supporting, creating, or altering energy to align with that pattern. When he is seeing through the Negative Poles, he simply reverts to the use of “SHOULD,” and merely sees the major gap between the way things are and how they SHOULD be. Using the Chief Features of Martyrdom and Greed, the Idealist may feel that the gap between where he is and where he should be is too far out of his control and hopeless (martyrdom). He may tend toward being a physical, emotional, spiritual, or intellectual “black hole” that cannot seem to find anything to fill the gap so painfully perceived (greed). This response is but a simplified response, but we believe this will allow you some insights. [samnemo] What happened to Soleal who was mentioned in the transcripts of Sarah Chambers? [M_Entity] Though validity was given to this energy as an “alien consciousness,” this was more a personification of 3 fragment's Essences who were involved in refining contact with us. A valid off-planet consciousness was involved, but as the mediums were quite new in making this kind of contact, a great deal of personification, projection, and identification was a part of that exchange. When contact with any non-physical presence is first made, it is safe to say that an important part of the process IS personification, projection, and identification. Something acceptable or exciting must be created as a conduit for the energy to take “shape,” making the exchanges much more comfortable. Some fragments still find contact with “Soleal” currently, and while the “alien” consciousness is validly a part of these exchanges, those who contact “Soleal” are also using this medium as a means to communicate with Essence. The actual Essence and Personality of the fragment who is the “alien” is still incarnated and unable to pursue his experiments of physical contact due to more restrictions of contact with Earth. [Leela] I would like a basic “snapshot” of the world situation as it currently stands; could Michael please comment on the potentialities that exist right now for the Bush administration and other political entities, and for peace vs. war, or more nuanced versions of same? [M_Entity] As it stands currently, the probabilities are leaning AGAINST war on any large scale. There are very few fragments interested in this means of conflict resolution, and those who are interested, are already directly involved. The highest probability is leaning toward one more major attack on the United States in a way that rallies even the most passive of countries to join in a stand against violent conflict. Though the United States is treated with resentment and has strong “love/hate” relationships with many countries, the symbolism and model of the United States is still deeply meaningful to many fragments. With communications and travel bringing the world into more of a global tribe, any assault to any major country of influence will more than likely not be tolerated by even the most opportunistic politicians. The shift on the planet recently seems to have most probabilities pointing to a “let's get this out of the way” mentality, which means the crux of any threats from “terrorism” will most likely manifest and pass before 18 months. As for the “Bush administration,” most probabilities will move into light the “real” intelligence and power behind handling crisis, especially as the fragment known as Bush begins to manifest more of his health issues. Though this is not a prediction, we can say that when the fragment known as the President manifests a surprising health issue of serious concern, the potential for attack will most likely be highest. Health issues for both President and Vice President are quite unstable at this time. [LoriA] What kind of attack and where would the most probability be (location wise), here in the U.S.? Thank you. [M_Entity] We still see what is called the “Midwest” as being the highest probable target, ranging from the Sears Tower to attack on a small town. The second highest probability is Hoover Dam, while New York City Subways and the White House are tertiary concerns. Again, we believe this to be most likely within the next 18 months. [MaryBV] I would like to know about Chandra Levy. What is the story here? Is this a monad playing out or an agreement? What can Michael tell us? [M_Entity] This is neither a Monad or an Agreement, but the creation of Karma. The original Karma existed between the fragment known as Condit and the female known as Levy, but the burning of that ribbon was “botched” and compounded. Condit could not bring himself to burn the ribbon, himself, but the compulsion to do so was still present, leading him to hire “hit men.” Levy's Essence, in a previous incarnation, of course, had directly committed murder of the fragment who is now Condit. The burning of this ribbon would have had Condit directly ending the life of Levy, but, as we said, this is now compounded by including the two “hit men.” Now there are two Major Murder Karma between the Essences of Levy and Condit, and Major Murder Karma between the Essence of Levy and one of the “hit men,” along with Major Bondage Karma between the Essence of Levy and the other “hit man.” In addition, there is new Karma formed among the “hit men” and the fragment known as Condit. We think even more Karma would be formed when indictments and imprisonment cause the fragments involved to have to abandon their families and positions of authority. [JNelson] Could you clarify “Major Bondage Karma”? [M_Entity] “Major Bondage Karma” is in the major physical restrictions imposed against the will of one fragment from another fragment, which most likely leads to death. “Minor Bondage Karma” might be the holding down of a fragment while another fragment punches him. [ClaireN] Do some spiritual practices promote access to the higher centers, such as Devotion (Bhakti) to the higher emotional center, or concentration to the higher intellectual? If so, please elucidate. [M_Entity] There are many “spiritual” practices that promote accessing of the Higher Centers. Some are more refined than others, and some are more inclined toward meaningless access, but the impact of the access can be profound, in any case. We would say that “Bhakti” is quite capable of encouraging access to the Higher Emotional Center, as well as the festive Southern Baptist Church vocal orgies. The act of Concentration can truly refine your access to the Higher Intellectual Center, as can the various versions of “speaking in tongues,” particularly in the churches of Pentecostals. Physical Sexual contact with awareness, which is part of Tantra, can move a fragment to Higher Moving Centered access, as can Shamanism practices. As we suggest these correlations, we do not suggest they are the ONLY means of “spiritual practices” that can access these Centers, nor do we suggest they will work for all fragments who would choose to pursue them. A car accident or serious illness can work as well as a long-term pursuit and discipline. If the interest is there, we would of course be able to comment on the many varying practices and disciplines in terms of how inclined they are toward access and refinement of access to the Higher Centers. We can suggest noting this as a possible subject of discussion in future exchanges. [mdfsage_val] What is the difference between a tandem evolution & a tandem monad, thank you. [M_Entity] A Tandem Monad is a general non-binding, but strongly devoted, sharing of life experiences and major turning points in a life, whether the fragments are in contact with each other, or not. The Tandem Monad is not dependent on physical contact, but more of an Essence-based parallel of experiences gained by the Personalities of those in the Monad. The Tandem Monad will have these major experiences and major shifts, along with strikingly uncanny similarities in lifestyles and choices, all seemingly parallel between the fragments. We use Tandem Evolution to refer to fragments who have decided as Personalities to pursue similar paths of experience and to actively share in that progress, allowing each other to act as support, security, feedback, insight, etc. [clavis] I have noticed “things ending” or “things changing” around me, but I am at lost as to “where I should go next” (and no impulses). Could Michael give any insight? [M_Entity] There are always impulses. In most cases where the sense of “no impulse” is present, the impulse is actually, quite simply, to “wait.” The impulse is informing you to manage reality as it stands currently, but that more information may be needed as a means for determining further impulses. In other cases where the impulse is not recognized, it is because the impulse contradicts the momentum the fragment has invested in. [clavis] So can I say that right now I need to wait for these impulses to lead me to the next step in my 4th IM? [M_Entity] If the latter is the case, it seems to be quite helpful to consult an oracle of preference, such as I Ching or Tarot or Horary Astrology. Using these nonlinear means of insight can lead the fragment into either finding the impulses leading to preferred change, or at least how to find impulses WITHIN the decision to remain with the momentum. In response to your clarification question, we would say, in your case, seeking insight from an oracle would be satisfying, in conjunction with the validity of your impulse to make no major changes just yet. In many teachings, this stage you are experiencing is called “the void.” It is the space and time “byproduct” resulting from a major creation of change. While in “the void,” the opportunity to find trust and contact with Essence is heightened as you experience gentle surrender. This is an experience similar to the long night before the opening of gifts on Christmas Morning. In most cases, if “the void” is being experienced, you can rest assured that a major manifestation of some sort (a gift) is “around the corner.” In other exchanges, we can also suggest an exploration of this phenomenon would be Good Work. [essences] Sorry I got disconnected so I have lost the last 10 minutes of conversation. My question was: Michael, how can I better understand if I am being impulsed to say change a career, or if it is a compulsion to change? If it is compulsion can it also be essence driven? [M_Entity] As we said before, but will say again with more clarification: Impulsion is more silent, easily dismissed, yet persistent. Compulsion is that which seems more forceful, easily carried out, and is usually repetitive in its effect. Impulses lead to major and minor changes in the life, while Compulsions seem to repeat themselves in varying layers and levels. BOTH are valid as a means to create and unfold the life, but they are different. An example may be that a fragment may have an IMPULSE to change his direction or medium of his career, while a COMPULSION may be to remain in the career that is working, even if other more satisfying options are available, though risky. These are neither positive nor negative. They are simply two of seven ways to create and sustain a lifetime. More specifically, these are two of seven ways to Choose. We will discuss this in more detail, as well, in other gatherings. We will conclude here. Good Night.
  7. June 9, 2005 Troy Tolley, Channel Michael Speaks Online: Open Floor MEntity: Hello to all of you. We are here. As usual, we will respond to questions as they are presented to us in the order created from the queue. [H2OSprtlvr] Just last week on the news they showed a pod of orcas that beached themselves. Can you tell us why this particular pod ended up beaching themselves, since this is very odd for orcas to do? MEntity: We are not clear as to the details regarding any recent “beaching” of “Orcas,” but there is indication that pollution may have been the cause, altering the navigational capabilities. Though we are not clear as to whether this has to do with the Orcas to which you refer. Several species have become compromised in their navigational capabilities, due to the consumption of toxins that affect these senses, some of which create severe hallucinations. Unfortunately, we do not have more information specific to the pod in question, but we will continue to search as we work through the next questions. [Annsge] I would like to know about the secondary chief feature. I’ve heard that it affects the mode and/or it affects relationships. Is there anything in particular that is helpful in working with the 2nd CF? How does it affect relationships–and/or does it affect relationships more than the Primary CF? MEntity: We have spoken of the Secondary Chief Feature as affecting the Attitude and the Mode, depending on the context of the questioning. When we spoke of the Attitude being affected, there was less understanding as to how the Mode worked. The Mode is not one of the more understood Overleaves. We would, then, say that there are three tiers to the effects of a Chief Feature, making a Primary, Secondary, and Tertiary Chief Feature system. Primary Chief Feature affects the GOAL; the Secondary affects the MODE; the Tertiary affects the Attitude. It is NOT that there are three distinctly different Chief Features in your Overleaves, but that there are three AREAS in which a Chief Feature will be distinctly visible. Although these areas may very well have three distinctly different Chief Features, it is also quite common to have one Chief Feature rule all three areas. These areas, then, would be the areas of Self-Fulfillment, Relationship-Fulfillment, and Philosophical Fulfillment, or the Goal, Mode, and Attitude, respectively. The Chief Feature that affects the Mode is the Chief Feature that affects your experience of EXPRESSION. In addition, then, the Chief Feature that affects your GOAL affects your experience of ACTION, while the Chief Feature that affects your Attitude affects your experience of INSPIRATION. The Chief Feature that affects your Mode/Expression/Relationships is the Chief Feature that is used to protect you from INTIMACY. Your Mode describes not only how you express yourself internally and externally, but it also describes how you approach or repel Intimacy. When we speak of Intimacy, we are speaking of the spectrum of experience that could be described as SAFETY. In other words, the Chief Feature that is enlisted as your protector against Intimacy is doing so because you have learned that you are UNSAFE in your Expression and in your Relationships. We remind you that a “relationship” and “intimacy” is not exclusive to human interaction, but can include your sense of relationship to and intimacy within yourself, your aspirations, goals, etc. This subject can be explored much more deeply in a more appropriately provided format. We believe what we have shared is a good start. We, of course, have much to say on this subject. In terms of alleviating the effects of the Secondary Chief Feature, one would always find the quickest and “easiest” route to be through that of the Attitude. In ALL cases of Chief Features, the Attitude is the one overleaf that can dismantle them all. If one can find a conscious means to implement a behavior to bring the Attitude into the Positive Pole, one can dismantle the effects of the Chief Features in a powerful “domino or cascade effect.” [Note: I suspect Michael meant Third Chief Feature rather than Secondary Chief Feature in the paragraph above.] Using the Positive Pole of the partner Attitude on the shared Axis, one can then move directly into the Positive Pole of the original Attitude. For example: If one is an Idealist, one can move from Naiveté (negative pole) to Coalescence (positive pole) by using INVESTIGATION, which is the Positive Pole of the Skeptic. To explain this more personally: The Idealist sees life in terms of how it SHOULD BE. This often leads to Naiveté because he tends to believe he can or should do far more than he is capable of doing. The Idealist then piles his life full of obligations and improvements to the point of disappointment and sometimes to the extent of harming himself or others. He has not accepted that to get from point A to point Z requires the steps in between. This is a form of Naiveté. This “negative” Attitude then cascades throughout the Overleaves, weighing them down into the Philosophy of CONSTANT IMPROVEMENT (or that everything should be “better”) without the means or method to do so. The Philosophy is not the problem; it is simply the lack of Coalescence that blocks this fragment. Coalescence could be defined as the culmination of several factors that can eventually manifest the Ideal. One can now see how INVESTIGATION might help an Idealist to dismantle his fears. If he would simply seek to understand (investigate) the steps required that would create his Ideal, he would not remain under the weight of Naiveté. Once he grasps and implements the process of realizing the Ideal, he is immediately back in Coalescence and free from Chief Feature. This same method can be applied to ANY Overleaf, but starting with the Attitude is the most empowering and immediately revitalizing because Attitudes are linked to the energy of Inspiration. Once the feed of Inspiration is returned to the Personality, most often “anything” can then be done. Next question [Tibtyc] Good evening, Michael. How can one speed up the work on karma, external and internal? I begin to realize that I have procrastinated a lot in my life. Also, in what way can the concept of Triads helps us to understand, and work on, karma? That is my question. MEntity: In answer to your first version of the question: One can “speed up” the process of Karma simply by doing it. There are no “shortcuts,” but there can be resistance, which can greatly delay the balancing of Karma. In terms of external Karma, all Fragments involved must be present, so a great deal of the “speed” of that process is dependent on group effort. [Tibtyc] Present on Earth? MEntity: If the Karmic scenario originated “on Earth,” then it is most often balanced in the same arena. There are exceptions, however, if the primary element of the Karma is Intellectual or Emotional. In terms of internal Karma (self karma), one merely need drop all resistance and choose to do the work that is required. In answer to your second version of your question: The concept of the Triad is tremendously helpful in approaching, processing, and integrating the experience of Karma, internally and externally. ALL KARMA is approached from either the Positive or Negative and is concluded in the Neutral. In MOST CASES, the Karma is approached from the POSITIVE, moved into and through the Negative, and finding resolution in the Neutral. We will clarify here that we are speaking in terms of Balancing Karma, not Creating it. If one were to think of the process of walking as the same process of balancing Karma, one can understand the Triad: A step is taken forward (Positive), there is an off-balance, mid-air moment that leaves everything dependent on one leg (Negative), with a final landing of both feet on the ground (Neutral). Karma is one of the many reasons so many relationships seem to go “bad.” They are initiated with an alluring, compelling magnetism simply to get the Personalities into the Karmic Sequence, which then allows the elements for the Negative phase to unfold. Often, when the Karma is balanced, there is no longer an interest in the relationship; the relationship is often just a means of balancing that Karma. For most Older Souls, there is little external Karma with which to deal, but a seemingly unending source of Self-Karma to endure. In terms of Self-Karma, we would say that to find conscious Neutrality, one must first determine the battle that is occurring internally and name it. In other words, if one has Self-Karma around Body Image, it will be helpful to define the Positive and Negative aspects that create the inner polarization, such as “I AM UGLY” vs “I AM BEAUTIFUL.” In all cases of Self-Karma, there are “two sides” to the battle. There is a perpetual conflict between The Truth and The Lie. The Neutrality comes only when one is capable of seeing the commonality between the two. In other words, the commonality between the concepts of “I am beautiful” and “I am ugly” is… I AM. The definitions beyond “I AM” are merely a means of dividing yourself. [Tibtyc] Sorry, what would Intellectual Karma be like? MEntity: Lying to an individual wherein he makes a choice that is affected by that lie can lead to Intellectual Karma. That is one example. [kittlekats41] thank you. I am curious about how much of what actually happens to us on earth could be considered truly accidental. How often does a true accident such as an unplanned injury or an unexpected illness or even environmental genetic damage cause us to make a significant change in our life’s plans – a change made ‘on the fly’ so to speak? And is this rate fairly constant or increasing with the greater degree of environmental damage our bodies now face? MEntity: In the true sense of the word, accidents DO happen, but only on the level of Personality. In terms of Essence, there has never been and never would be an accident. Personality CAN, but does not, anticipate everything, but Essence can and does. Even when Essence is “surprised” by an event that was caused by the choices of its Personality, the array of effect from a single choice can be easily seen, and it is not interpreted as an “accident.” [kittlekats41] Are all ‘unplanned events’ then foreseen by essence or essence just accepts what comes and rolls with the punches:-)? MEntity: There is nothing in your reality that isn't CREATED or ALLOWED by either Personality and/or Essence. Those are the only two methods of existence. You Create your reality or you Allow it. Most Fragments do not entirely Create or entirely Allow, but utilize a mix of both methods, leaving room for the so-called “accidents.” An example of the mix of Creativity vs Allowance is in that many Fragments focus their conscious, creative energy in the direction of Relationships, while leaving their Bodies unattended; guided only by the events that unfold around it (Allowance). The Older Soul eventually begins to have Personalities who share in the process of Creating the entirety of the life along with Essence, but many souls do simply resign the life to some higher force to direct all events, or specific areas. It would do all of you well to know that any “higher force” simply has no investment in your experiences beyond EXPERIENCE, so the life left “up to god” tends to be more like a “pinball” in a game dictated by unconscious drive, reactions, and the choices of others. All experiences are foreseen by Essence, but never rejected. Choice and Decision are the tools of Personality for creating its life. While Essence can see that an “accident” is about to occur, it is keenly aware that this “accident” is merely the result of Personality’s choices, decisions, creation, and/or allowance. This does not mean that one should then “blame herself” for all of the pain and accidents within the life, unless one believes that is the path of most interest, which is as valid as any other choice. What this knowledge does mean is that you are not trapped by any accident, regardless of your awareness of its approach. You simply make another choice. And continue making choices beyond that. You are never condemned by any event, accident, or situation, no matter how much time has passed or how recent the experience. You can always continue to choose, and choose again, creating within and beyond the apparent confines of the situation. [kittlekats41] thank you very much Michael. I didn’t see it when I asked the question, but your answer allows me to see that my question and your answer very much relates to my chosen ‘platform’ for this year – I just love synchronicity! [merri korman] About a year before an accident occurred, I dreamed it, yet when it presented, I didn't recognize it and proceeded anyway. It has led me down a really painful road and I am having trouble forgiving myself and moving on. Any help? MEntity: Many fragments are presented with information, insight, or intuition that is then dismissed and only upon retrospect seen as having been valid. This is simply a part of living and learning and experiencing. [merri korman] How can we shift into making better choices so we learn with grace and ease instead of pain? MEntity: The key to the forgiveness is in your moving your attention from the concept of having made a mistake, to the concept of your having simply made a CHOICE. You made a choice based on more than intuition and prophetic dreams. The path that you describe as having been painful was the path that you chose; not because you made a mistake, but because you were courageous. Many Fragments are given the clues and warnings of potential pain “ahead,” but they continue into that pain, not because they are stupid, limited, or making a mistake. They are simply making a choice. Many Older Souls continue to struggle with the battle between that of choosing Pain or choosing Pleasure. There is a deep belief in the nobility of Pain and a deep belief in the Sin of Pleasure. While we described you as “courageous,” we do not mean that you were more noble or “right” in your choice toward Pain, but that you are courageous enough to have known that you could seek Forgiveness on the other side of the experience. [merri korman] whoo yeah, but why is it so hard to see the courage and so easy to see the mistake, self-forgiveness? MEntity: Often, those who struggle with the concept of Forgiveness are simply meaning that they ache for someone to tell them that everything will be okay and that you are safe now. We tell you that, now, not as an act of consolation, but as a truth. We do not tell you anything that you do not already know, but we do act as a form of validation, and we can tell you that it is over, Merri. It is now your choice as to whether you are ready to be free, and you will choose when you are ready. We will continue this conversation with you in private. [Fyredeva11] Recently, conversation on TV3K has brought 9-11 back up and conspiracy theories concerning the events. My question is: did the planes that hit the towers bring them down or were there also bombs planted that the government knew about? Also, did a plane really hit the Pentagon? [upstaate] or was it a missile? MEntity: The towers in question were not brought down by the planes, but by explosives that had been in place for at least 24 hours previous to attack. It does not appear that your “government” knew about these explosives, but did have at least conceptual knowledge of an impending attack. [Fyredeva11] was it the Israeli Secret Service? MEntity: Although a connection could be found to the Israeli Secret Service, it would not have been of an official capacity. Those directly involved with the destruction were extremists. It is valid that a plane did crash into the Pentagon, but it does not appear to be of the same identity as that which was understood to have done so. [Fyredeva11] it just seems so convenient…giving our govt an excuse to go into Iraq MEntity: We would say that the attack was exploited as an opportunity, but was not created through a conspiratorial event. The greatest contribution to the events labeled as “9-11” was negligence. [Fyredeva11] why didn't these bombs make the news? MEntity: The materials used in the materials for bombing were of advanced and unheard of explosives. These materials appear to be under investigation by only a few who could recognize them as having explosive properties. [H2OSprtlvr] What steps can we take to overcome the blocks that keep us from doing what is good for ourselves? What prevents us from finding the “switch” inside of ourselves to turn on to get us to do what is right and good for us to do? Thanks! MEntity: There is no other “switch inside” beyond CHOICE. We remind all of you that it is more than a new age catch phrase that we say that you are here to learn how to choose, and to choose how to learn. [H2OSprtlvr] I knew you'd say that, but I can't make myself do what I think I'm choosing to do. I choose to lose weight, but find myself not following the program MEntity: Let us suggest that it is not “weight” that is the issue. It is Love. You would lose the weight if you believed it was an issue. Many fragments choose false goals as a means to fit into the current social game, but underneath this falsity is a truth that is implemented more powerfully, and that is that you love yourself more than you give yourself credit. The key then is not in losing the weight, but in honoring what your body knows is the truth, even if your heart and mind have forgotten. We have said this before to many of our students, but we will say it here, again: How can one expect the Body to adjust to your ideals under the pressure of criticism, hatred, and resentment? This can easily be likened to the limited ability of a child to learn math while being beaten with a ruler as he flounders. When you begin to see your exercise, health, and diet as GIFTS to your body, and not as PUNISHMENTS, you will find your motivation. [H2OSprtlvr] that’s very true. I need to wrap my mind around that. MEntity: It can be a powerful transformation for all of you to take a good, long look at your Bodies in a mirror and with as much heart as possible, honor it with your most loving approval. Your Bodies are not imposed upon you, but consider the fact that every cell, molecule, and layer is the most innocent level of consciousness that completely, utterly, absolutely believe in you. When we say “believe,” we use the word to capture the imagery, not the literal meaning. Quite often, weight is gained as the inner sense of resentment and criticism rises. This is often a direct result of the Body’s defense system against its annihilation. As “you” seek to escape its confines, “it” seeks to ground its source. Once you begin to be present, loving, and offering of gifts to the Body, its shape begins to reflect that Beauty, which is NOT ALWAYS within the confines of social definition, but ALWAYS within the perimeters of “good” health. In conclusion, when you find you are not choosing in the direction you feel is “good” or “right” for you, it is never outside of your reach to AT LEAST choose to love anyway. However controversial this statement may be, it is a truth that eating a bag of chips on the couch while watching TV can be as “good” for you as a run on the treadmill, when consciously offered as a gift and let alone to be just that. There are no rules.

    Energy Report: JULY 2009

MBLOG Energy Report July 2009 [note: every year has a pattern of energy that can be described as a kind of "personality," so the energy reports are Michael's interpretation of that energy using the Overleaf System; these are not predictions, but merely observations of momentum and pattern generated by actions and choices, similar to how weather patterns can be observed and reported.] June's spike of final emphasis on Passion and Mode manifested in several interesting ways on a scale that shook large pockets of fragments and their sense of identity and symbols, from the seemingly unusual string of deaths among popular icons to the bloody battles of Iran. It would be helpful to look back over June to examine how these events on a global scale are macrocosmic reflections of the microcosmic events in an individual life. We see that most of our students found themselves in positions that questioned their sense of identity and if that questioning is followed by comprehension and resolution, then this can help set the tone for the move through the next few months of emphasis on the Attitude of Idealism. Comprehension and resolution would come from an honest look at the attachments to symbols as a form of identity and to embrace those symbols while understanding that the symbols are not the same as the qualities. Symbols can come and go, but the qualities inherent in your identity and being exist with or without their external representation. Being dependent on symbols is like being dependent on paper and pen for your thinking. Your thinking exists with or without the pen and paper. Even when paper and pen become extensions of your thinking, your thinking does not cease if the pen and paper are removed. July brings with it a shift from an emphasis on relationships and personal identity to an emphasis on philosophical perceptions and your sense of need for improvement. The Attitude in our system is a component of Personality that describes the philosophical stance of the lifetime, the basic perception of the world and how experiences are interpreted through that primary philosophy. There are 7 basic philosophies, or Attitudes, and while each of you will already have your own as part of your Personality, the time frame of a year can also be described in terms of the general philosophy "in the air," so to speak. This year, it appears the general mood is one of continued improvement and an emphasis on seeking out, identifying, and altering flaws. This would mean to us that most of our students may find themselves intentionally focusing on, or "accidentally" stumbling upon, one or more components of the life, Personality, or environment, internally or externally, that are ready for improvement. For those who have come to comprehend and resolve the exploration of identity and symbols over April, May, and June, then July may start off with "your feet hitting the ground, running." It will be clear to those fragments WHAT needs or wants improvement, and the direction would be on the HOW. For those who feel some amount of overwhelm, confusion, or dismissal of the events of April, May, or June, then July may start off with the exploration of WHAT. For those who start off July with an emphasis on exploring WHAT, it would mean a sense of distraction with what exactly it is that holds you in a pattern, or keeps you from feeling as if you are fulfilled, moving forward, or making an impact in areas of effort. For some, this will show up as a literal distraction, generating a sense of lacking concentration or presence, until there is a grasp on exactly what to improve. This would be a time of strong, self-scrutiny on the positive end, and a time of vague disappointment on the more negative end. For those exploring the WHAT, we would suggest that your exploration not be one of discovery, but one of DECISION. In other words, you do not have to wait for the so-called flaws to reveal themselves, or for the obstacles that can use some transformation to be uncovered. Instead, you can remind yourself that this is YOUR life, and that the design of your being, your days, and directions are simply a product of your choices. Decisions are the path to Choices. Decisions are a Path, and Choices are a Pivot. Decisions shape your days, and Choices shape your life. So, instead of being distracted, waiting, or wandering, you can make the decision as to what to improve TODAY. It does not have to be that pivotal thing that would improve everything, but you will find your way to that pivotal thing much more comfortably and quickly when you start making Decisions to shape your focus of the day, which will then lead to Choices, and those moments of Choice will be clearer when they come around. For those who found a strong sense of awareness about personal symbolism and identity over April, May, and June, your July might start off immediately aware of WHAT could use some improvement, even if begrudgingly, and so your month may emphasize the HOW of the process. By this we mean that it is no longer a mystery as to what part of your development has lead to a pattern of immobility or repetitiveness and it is now up to you to do the work of either transforming that or embracing that. In both cases of What or How, the spectrum of Idealism may come into play. On the positive end of the spectrum there is COALESCENCE, which is not only the awareness of all of the ingredients and steps that must come together to fulfill a vision, but also the awareness of the effort that this requires. On the negative end of the spectrum there is NAIVETY, which is the experience of being blinded or distracted by the end-goal, or vision, without any attention to the steps and efforts that may be required to get there; it can also be the constant disappointment and frustration with how things SHOULD BE vs how things ARE, forgetting the time, energy, and patience that may be required for change. Idealism always sees room for improvement, and there is always room for improvement, so it is an exhausting philosophy for some. Since there is always room for improvement in nearly everything, since evolution is in an on-going process, then there can tend to be a constant emphasis on flaws and short-comings. When this comes from the positive pole of Coalescence, the flaws, short-comings, and improvements are seen as a gentle informative process for directing visions, efforts, and choices. When this comes from the negative pole of Naivety, the flaws, short-comings, and improvements are seen burdens, disappointments, and a constant source of comparisons that always leaves one feeling empty, angry, depressed, or frustrated. Keeping these poles in mind can help each of you through the next few months of self-improvement and your sense of progress toward your visions. KEY CONSIDERATIONS FOR JULY might be: BECAUSE I CAN SEE IT DOES NOT MEAN I AM (or he/she is) THERE. BECAUSE I CAN SEE IT DOES NOT MEAN EVERYONE ELSE CAN (or cares to). DECISIONS CREATE THE PATH TO CHOICES; CHOICES CREATE THE LIFE. FULFILLING A VISION IS A PROCESS, NOT A PREDICTION. FLAWS ARE ONLY BREAKS IN THE PATTERN YOU CONSIDER THE IDEAL THE PROCESS OF IMPROVEMENT IS KIND AND PATIENT
  9. ENERGY REPORT September 2013 2013 OVERLEAVES ROLE: SAGE (emphasized all year) CENTER: INTELLECTUAL (emphasized all year) GOAL: FLOW > acceptance/discrimination (emphasized Jan - Mar) MODE: POWER (emphasized Apr - Jun) ATTITUDE: IDEALIST (emphasized Jul - Sep) CHIEF FEATURES: SELF-DESTRUCTION (emphasized Oct - Dec) SEPTEMBER brings a last look at the emphasis on the Attitude, which is Idealist this year. While every month of every year is important and potentially pivotal, September tends to bring with it a great amount of weight as it is, essentially, the last month in the cycle where one finds the most support for a return to the Positive Poles. Once October comes, and the “holiday season,” the Chief Feature emphasis is in effect, and if one enters this in the Negative Pole of one’s Overleaves, especially on a collective scale, those months can be quite challenging, or set up a pattern of challenges for the next year. We do not wish to attribute undue anxiety to the month of September. We merely describe the collective pattern that has come to be fairly standard. Regardless of one’s own Attitude as described in their Overleaves, if one is participating in the world in any way, there would tend to be the effects of the Idealism felt among fellow fragments. AN ASIDE: the “seasons” of the Overleaves for the year tend to move through a progression of exploration as Personal, Community, Global as each month unfolds. So, for instance, July would be a more personal exploration of how collective Idealism affects you, while August explores how that Idealism is playing out among personal circles of relationships, and then September would explore more of how this shows up “in the world,” overall. From what we can see, there has come a slow decline toward the Negative Pole of Idealism in “the world,” with a healthy rebuttal of Skepticism (the partner Attitude). Remember that the Negative Pole of Idealism is the intent to fulfill a vision or ideal without full consideration of the steps, responsibilities, or consequences. One simply thinks the vision or ideal is enough. That vision or ideal either justifies whatever comes next, which can lead to some fairly heinous and irresponsible behaviors, or there is complete shock and dismay that the ideal did not pan out. Idealism is fueled by the concept of “should,” because it is an Attitude that compares what is with what should be. That “should” is subjective, of course, but that is not often the challenge. The challenge is in the presumption that because something or someone “should” be, then it will or can be. That presumption is Naivete. And so the world of politics, government, and countries are shifting into the collective expression of the variations on “should” from the most naive positions, and this may lead to a challenging shift into Self-Destruction over the following months and into 2014. This is not “bad news” or ominous, but merely reflective of the challenges of Flow and Power and Idealism. The world stage is set to reflect some of these challenges, which we can address more directly in the months ahead. In terms of the individual, and our students, the work on one’s own Idealism, or “shoulds,” is one of the more meaningful places to make your own efforts to contribute to the whole of world events. If you find yourself struggling with a wave of “shoulds,” and distracted with a vision or ideal against which you hold yourself, yet have no plan, no steps, no help, no sense of responsibility for the necessary efforts to fulfill that ideal, no willingness to do the work, or if that ideal comes at the expense of other important things in your life, you may be dancing with Naivete. This would tend to feel as if the reality of that vision is “so close, yet so far away.” And then you may fall into limbo. If you find you are in a state similar to the above, then it may be time to either make the choice to do the work that fulfills the vision (which includes the research, planning, effort, etc) or to realize that you may have other priorities that require being addressed before you can fulfill your vision. For example, some presume they “should” not have financial struggles, but then do very little to pursue an income. This is because they often have ideals on top of ideals about where and how that income “should” come, and anything less or different must be failure or deemed not worth the effort. Or one may be seeking a long-term change, but presume the change “should” be faster, easier, and is an entitlement, not requiring so much effort. We speak of those who are in positions where the capacity to choose is not removed, not of everyone who struggles in the face of imposing adversities, of course. If you find yourself in any positions where “should” is descriptive, then you are playing with Idealism in some way. In a year that emphasizes Idealism, those areas of the life and how you think about your life in terms of “shoulds” will tend to become more obvious. If you choose to make the most of the collective energy of the year and the month, and if it matters to you how your private, personal life can contribute to waves of collective energy represented in the world stage, then it can be helpful to look at how you work with your visions and ideals in more effective ways that do not harm, and can be effectively fulfilled. Our many treatments of Idealism in previous exchanges can be of help. Helpful thoughts over SEPTEMBER might be: “SHOULDS” AND “COULDS” AND “WOULDS” are friends If you “should,” then it is best to know and feel if and how you “could,” and even if you “would.” This may seem shared in jest, but they are the triad of empowerment for the fulfillment of ideals. Should is the idea/ideal; Could is the potential and possibilities that must then be narrowed down to a workable plan; and Would is the willingness and effort one is capable of affording. These are the Intellect, Emotion, and Action necessary. These are the Truth, Love, and Energy in everyday words that build your momentum in the life. If any one of these is emphasized without the consideration of the others, there is often little movement or fulfillment. DATES OF INTEREST August 28 - 31 -- NEXUS - a more “spontaneous” divergence Nexus that was generated from events pending in the “world stage” of politics regarding ideals and responsibilities. On an individual level, this may bring some apocalyptic, disastrous, or disturbing imagery in dreams as there is a “weeding out” of many worst-case scenarios. This Nexus would have played out over September 1st through the 4th, but appears to have been “bumped up.” September 18 - 19 -- ENERGY THEME (not a nexus) - [note from troy: michael recently referred to one of these as a “vortex,” so maybe that term will be used in future reports] - these couple of days appear to bring a high emphasis on communication about the unsaid or unexpressed, or on the confusing being clarified.

    Energy Report: AUGUST 2013

ENERGY REPORT August 2013 2013 OVERLEAVES ROLE: SAGE (emphasized all year) CENTER: INTELLECTUAL (emphasized all year) GOAL: FLOW > acceptance/discrimination (emphasized Jan - Mar) MODE: POWER (emphasized Apr - Jun) ATTITUDE: IDEALIST (emphasized Jul - Sep) CHIEF FEATURES: SELF-DESTRUCTION (emphasized Oct - Dec) *************** AUGUST brings our students into the middle of the “season” of the Attitude of Idealist. We shared details in our last report about this Attitude and what this would mean, so we suggest a review of that report so as to bring more context to this report. As students move through the heart of this Idealistic “season,” there may come an evaluation of where one is in terms of moving toward an Ideal, and/or a continued clarification of what one’s Ideals are in the first place. If one has not clarified personal ideals, August would tend to bring a kind of anxiousness and pressure. If you feel an undercurrent of anxiousness, or a more obvious sense of anxiousness and pressure, you may be in need of clarifying exactly what it is you are seeking to improve. When there is an emphasis on Idealism, the support is there for helping to improve upon some element or aspect of the life, a relationship, or the self. That sense of support can turn into a sense of pressure or anxiousness if it is not used to move you toward an ideal. That support is like a current that is dammed, and it will, eventually, help move you toward the ideal, break the dam, or recede. To clarify one’s personal ideals, all that is necessary is to pick one. Regardless of one’s Overleaves, there are always elements and aspects of the life, a relationship, or the self that one seeks to improve. Pick one. That is all that is necessary for allowing the current of support to be of benefit, and to shift from being a pressure. Once you have picked one, the energy would shift to being supportive, but you will still have to do the work of the steps necessary for bringing fulfillment to the ideal. However, with the sense of pressure shifted to a sense of enthusiasm and support, your creative processes, openness to Agreements, and your synaptic pathways begin to be used far more productively. If you have clarified your ideals, but still feel a bit of anxiousness or pressure, it is most likely because you have not considered your part in the next steps necessary for fulfilling that ideal. Simply having the ideal is not enough. You must map out your next steps. For these students, we suggest writing down your next step or steps. We suggest literally writing this out. There is a drastic difference between typing and writing when it comes to synaptic pathways and body memory. Typing is beneficial for a number of reasons, and can always complement writing, but freehand writing is vastly more beneficial for any method of expression regarding memory, planning, or changing/nurturing synaptic pathways. Write out your next steps, then type them up. Typing will tend to leave your words “floating above the neck,” so to speak, while writing will help move thoughts and feelings throughout the body for use in planning, memory, and shifting of synaptic pathways. Clarifying and mapping out your ideals now can be key to helping shift away from the pull of the Chief Feature “season” coming in October. Pick one thing you wish to improve, describe your next steps, then do the work. If you find you are blocked, or that the improvement is daunting, choose a different one. The important thing here is that you experience your participation in the active improvement of at least one thing. That experience then helps to bring momentum to the more daunting improvements you may wish to pursue. Not everyone wishes to improve or aim for an ideal. This is a valid position. If you are one who is content, sees no room or necessity for improvements, and are satisfied with your ideals, then August may be more about a distanced observation of world ideals as they are in the process of being fulfilled. Though you may be content, there are many who are not, and you are invited to contribute to the support by picking one or more of those distanced ideals being fulfilled in the world. For instance, any effort for Human Rights; Equality; Animal Rights; access to foods, medicine, and healthcare; transformation away from violence and war; relief from suffering; etc. These are not necessarily issues that affect you, but you can pick one that appeals to you, and see if there are any differences you can make that may help contribute to improvements. You may consider your part to be minimal, but in simplistic and monetary terms, ten people contributing a dollar is better than ten people presuming someone else will be able to make more of a difference. You make a difference. Not only in your own process toward an ideal, but in the network of Humanity who choose to make a difference. In general, August would appear to be a fairly introspective and contemplative time, fairly slow-moving in terms of experiencing time, and may be helpful for “catching your breath” for shifting gears, directions, recovery, and then moving forward again in September. Helpful thoughts over AUGUST might be: TO MAKE A DIFFERENCE, CHOOSE DIFFERENTLY Undermining your power of choice by presuming you make no difference is proof, in itself, as to just how much of a difference you make. You stopped yourself from making a difference, because you presumed you make no difference, and that makes a difference. Choosing to make a difference... MAKES A DIFFERENCE. If this is relevant to your own life, that difference will be seen, eventually, and may take time, effort, and patience. If this is relevant to a community or a world ideal, then you may not experience the immediate gratification of impact from your choice, but your choice makes a difference. So, if you choose to make a difference, yet worry that you make no difference, simply choose differently. Choose something different from not choosing. If you choose. DATES OF INTEREST August 2 - 5 -- NEXUS - a divergence Nexus that continues to “peel away” those versions of the self whose ideals are collapsing, being ignored, rejected, or eclipsed August 16 - 19 -- ENERGY THEME (not a nexus) - these dates appear to bring with them a specific window of support for regrouping, rest, recovery, and rethinking of directions.

    Energy Report: JULY 2013

2013 OVERLEAVES ROLE: SAGE (emphasized all year) CENTER: INTELLECTUAL (emphasized all year) GOAL: FLOW > acceptance/discrimination (emphasized Jan - Mar) MODE: POWER (emphasized Apr - Jun) ATTITUDE: IDEALIST (emphasized Jul - Sep) CHIEF FEATURES: SELF-DESTRUCTION (emphasized Oct - Dec) *************** JULY enters the emphasis on the Attitude for the year, which we see as Idealist. The Attitude is a description of one’s basic philosophy about life. It is the filter through which experiences are interpreted. The Idealist, then, interprets life in a way that is optimistic, but is constantly aware of the room for improvement. The Idealist always sees how things can be better, often in terms of how they “should be,” but rather than use this comparison to undermine the moment, the Idealist usually just aims for “better.” This can work for or against the individual who is an Idealist, depending on factors in the function of other Overleaves, and the presence of the Chief Negative Features. When Idealism is in its Positive Pole as Coalescence, it will not only see the room for improvements, but it seeks to understand and implement what that vision of improvement will require. Coalescence is the coming together of parts for the fulfillment of an idea that has become a vision. When idea and vision combine, they become an ideal. When Idealism is in its Negative Pole as Naïveté, the room for improvement will still be seen, but the aim for that improvement will come from an uninformed, ignorant, or innocent unawareness of what that vision of improvement will require. It is presumed that because one has decided upon how things “should” be, then it is only matter of deciding that is how they should be. There is no concern or consideration for all that would have to come together for that ideal. Furthermore, there is often a complete lack of understanding that the entire concept of an “ideal” is relative, and not always the same for everyone. When speaking of Idealism in terms of the year, and in terms of this being a philosophy on a more collective level, it would tend to be a year that is focused on grand improvements in some obvious ways. Because this is a Sage year, we would think this would come in terms of anything regarding entertainment, technology, information, communication, and social structures. Though the emphasis on Idealism comes in around July, the validity of the effect of the Attitude builds throughout the year. Over the course of 2013, there can be found examples of advances toward breakthrough ideals based in Coalescence, and examples of collapsing momentum toward ideals based in Naïveté. Over the course of July, August, and September, there would tend to come the impact of the breakthroughs or collapses of those ideals, and an effort to continue building upon the ideal, or an effort to return to the Positive Pole for those that have collapsed. Even with the best of intentions, the greatest ideals can fail if there is naïveté in the process. One can push and push for the ideal, but if the parts are not coming together in coalescence, the ideal will remain an ideal. Recent examples can be seen in the differences between steps forward in Marriage Equality versus Immigration Reform and Gun Control in the United States. We use these examples as they are familiar to the channel, but there are more happening on large and small scales beyond these examples. As with any of the Energy Reports, the relevance to you is dependent upon participation and experience of the world beyond the self. If one lives a life of insularity, familiarity, or some amount of withdrawal from worldly events, the Energy Reports will likely be less meaningful. On a personal level, the next 3 months may come with a wave of perception that aims to see the best, to make the best, and to build toward the best of ideals that shape the whole of the life. This is an Exalted, Expressive Attitude, so this is not a quiet Attitude. The gentle “voice” in your head, the impulses, the nudges and the intuition would tend to become more pronounced over these months, even if you are not an Idealist in Attitude. The sense of necessity for making things better may focus on specific areas of the life, or the overall quality of the life, or even toward the world in general, or toward the lives of those close to you. In general, the next three months would be tend to be about how to see things differently so that an ideal can be fulfilled. As July unfolds, you may begin to sense a wave of enthusiasm, a renewed sense of vision, and/or a sense that one should not give up on ideals, personally or collectively. While we are not a fan of the concept of “hope,” for convenience and familiarity we will say that there may come a sense that “there is hope.” This has not been an easy year for our students, in general. We remind you that this has been a year of learning how to FLOW, the Goal of the Year. This shows up differently for people, but the end results are about learning how to navigate the greater forces that move your life, rather than to fight them, deny them, hate them, or fear them. Freedom is found when one learns to differentiate between that which one can control, and that which one cannot, and then navigating the life in a beautiful balance between Allowing and Choosing. The experience of Idealism over the next three months would tend to refer strongly back to how one has come to experience Flow in the life, or how one has come to see how it works in the world. It may be of importance to you to consider that this move into an emphasis on Idealism is not to show you that you have not reached your ideals, or that you have a long way to go in reaching them, or that you cannot reach your ideals, but that your ideals are still alive, meaningful, and capable of being implemented. This may mean that a period of evaluation, examination, exploration, experimentation, updating, etc. is necessary for the ideals to be updated in clarity, or clarified at all for the first time. This will take some internal work, and will require communication, expression, with a clear idea of the form these ideals would take when fulfilled. As you move through July, it may be important to your heart and to the mind not undermine your ideals through this wave of comparisons between where one is versus where one wishes to be. It is far more helpful to simply address the requirements for the fulfillment, and then to return to the work of that necessity. It can also be helpful not to presume that any successes in the fulfillment of an ideal is now concluded. It is often the case that these successes require a stabilizing stage to follow. Helpful thoughts over JULY might be: FULFILLING AN IDEAL MUST BE IDEALLY FULFILLED What we mean by this phrase is that the mere idea and vision is not enough: there must be the effort, the information, the communication, the enthusiasm, the clarity, the direction, the parts, etc.. that come together to fulfill the ideal. There are no shortcuts. The ideal way for fulfilling any ideal is through Coalescence of all parts necessary for that fulfillment. Ideals are not truly fulfilled through demand, entitlement, or imposition, because the majority of, if not all of, the parts necessary for the fulfillment of an ideal must be on board. DATES OF INTEREST July 3 - 4 -- ENERGY THEME (not a nexus) - these dates appear to bring with them a general sense of clarity of direction for ideals, or the state of them at the moment. A period of time to allow for the pause, the taking of a metaphorical, deep and thoughtful breath before the choice to trust the return of enthusiasm to come. July 24 - 26 -- ENERGY THEME (not a nexus) - these dates appear to bring with them the general shift of return to enthusiasm, if this has not happened, yet. Because we cannot predict, this may alternatively come as a sobering and shocking few days of a “wake up call” for the necessity of ideals, and/or the resistance involved toward the implementation of ideals.

    Ask Michael - April 5, 2015

Ask Michael Live Chat April 5, 2015 Channel: Troy Tolley Kurtis: Hi Michael, today i'd like to continue with the Idealist in a social situation. I especially liked your additions of "What did you expect" and other such phrases last time, so if you can include those I'd appreciate. Kurtis: The phrases were in the response to the Realist question btw, just to jog your memory MEntity: The Idealist in social situations is constantly measuring against an ideal. Both the self and others are being assessed, sized up, compared, measured, and calculated in ways that can be mind-boggling to those not an Idealist. Idealists can be of the most clearly and strongly-opinionated of the Attitudes, with some of the strongest arguments in support of those opinions and perspectives. MEntity: Idealists can tend to read the languages of your body in ways that go far beyond the use of your words. Idealists will often respond more to what was not said than to what was said, because Idealists can see/hear beyond the facades or measured responses. MEntity: Idealists are so prone to looking beyond what IS and into the projected patterns from what is, that they can sometimes be out of sync with the experiences of others around them. In other words, while others may see/hear exactly what is being said/shown, the Idealist is accessing dimensions that extend from there. MEntity: In the Positive Pole, there is Coalescence. This is the pulling together of the necessary parts that fulfill the ideal or the assessed pattern. MEntity: This means that the Positive Idealist may compare, measure, assess, and predict accurate patterns, but always remembers that there is more. There will always be more. This Idealist may be very clear and accurate in her understanding of the self or another person, but always makes room for variables. MEntity: The Positive Idealist is not conclusive. MEntity: This lack of conclusivity and room for variables is also what makes them of the most Naive, the Negative Pole. MEntity: Idealists will often "see the best" in you, in herself, even as there is neglect, abuse, and pain. MEntity: Idealists can, also, hold you or the self to a standard of expectation that is often unmatched, leading to another version of Naivety that is constantly pitting you against what SHOULD be. MEntity: So Naivety can show up here as the inability to discern what further parts might be necessary for fulfilling an ideal, or show up as the inability to see that there are no further parts so the ideal cannot be fulfilled. MEntity: Idealists will always tend to challenge your resting place for what is expected of yourself, themselves, and others. MEntity: As usual, there is always more to explore in these topic-length questions, but this can be added to the explorations. Janet: I believe you have said that after death the personality experiences -- for awhile at least -- whatever that personality expected to experience after death. So, for instance, if they believed there was no life after death, they would experience nothingness until they finally woke up and realized that there was something there after all. Janet: I am wondering about people whose personalities are more or less gone well before death. Those with Alzheimer’s, for instance, don’t show any trace of the beliefs the personality had before losing touch with reality, but of course it’s hard to tell what they actually believe when they are lost to the condition. Janet: Do those with Alzheimer’s or dementia experience their personality’s core beliefs after death? Or maybe even before death? Or do they become more in touch with the truth about what happens after death due to what I assume is more astral activity after the personality loses touch with physical reality? MEntity: Janet, many who die experience a very different death from what was expected, even if they professed to know what to expect. Death brings the truth to the surface. Many Personalities cloak their inability to comprehend death by embracing others' stories of death, or ignoring it, or distracting themselves. So even if someone professes to believe in a heaven after death, this heaven is not necessarily what is experienced because the Personality did not truly believe there is a heaven. Or a hell, for that matter. But it is true that when the Personality is truly invested in and believes in an after-death expectation, it is generated and experienced. MEntity: The after-death reality is as varied as cities in the Physical Plane, so the Astral is populated with "cities" dedicated to the more sustained versions of after-life. There even variations on themes, so that there are multiple "heavens" and "hells" to accommodate. They remain a hoot to visit. MEntity: As for those who disconnect from a life over a greater length of time, the realization and waking up is less about the after-life, but about the current life. MEntity: The etheric body loses its anchor in time, and is free to explore within the timeline of that lifetime. MEntity: Review tends to be the theme for most, as the life is replayed, revisited, and recreated. MEntity: This can leave the Body as an anchor point in time that is, quite literally, hosting for the Personality as it existed throughout the life. MEntity: All sub-personalities are freed. MEntity: It is both chaotic and beautiful, but "death" is not experienced until the body is no longer breathing. MEntity: As long as the body is breathing, or "alive," the Personality is, too. MEntity: Though the Personality is not anchored in time, it is processing the life, not the death. GeraldineB: This is from Brian: I'd like some basic level information on how can we recognize and stop thinking of things in terms of "black and white" / polarized thinking? MEntity: First, it is fairly impossible not to think in terms of "black and white," as duality is natural and helpful. We describe polarities for this reason. However, one way to help keep one from locking into one or the other is to always remember that one is inclusive of the other. There will always be one part of a duality that is inclusive of the more exclusive part. "White" is the presence all color, whereas "black" is the absence of color. However, it could be said that there is nothing inherently "wrong" with black or white, only differences in function or nature. MEntity: White reflects, and Black absorbs. Positive reflects, and Negative absorbs. Love remembers and Fear forgets. MEntity: So thinking in polarities is not the problem. It is when one does NOT think in polarities that the problems come. MEntity: In other words, if one thinks that one should only aim for light, then shadows will be terrifying. If one thinks that there are only shadows, then one cannot see. MEntity: If black is consuming your life, you are merely forgetting about what is reflecting, what is present, and what is color. If one only thinks that white is pure, then he is forgetting that white cannot exist as itself. It is a higher sum from the parts. MEntity: So when you feel as if you are thinking only terms of black and white, or polarized, remember that it is not the polarity that is the problem, it is that the polarity now presents you with the responsibility of CHOICE. MEntity: Choice is the color between the extremes of black and white. ViP: Do the body types influence how Centering operates, or vice-versa? For example, if a person has a passive/negative Nature body type, does that influence the types of forms or feelings that are generated from the Part of the Center that one habitually operates from? This was just to illustrate one possible example, but any more general explanation would be great as well. MEntity: Yes, there are some consistent correlations to consider, but they are only for consideration, not presented as rules: MEntity: Martial and Venusian TEND to require and generate TANGIBLE effects from the processes of their Centering, regardless of the Centering/Part. They tend toward the benefit of affection, touch, and seeing/feeling the impact of their presence. MEntity: Mercury/Jovial TEND to require and generate FEEDBACK from the processes of their Centering, regardless of Centering/Part. They tend toward the benefit of conversation, expression, and exchange of ideas. ViP: Are these in terms of these body types as Nature, or just based on which body type is Primary/highest percentage? MEntity: Lunar/Saturn TEND to require and generate ALLIANCE from the processes of their Centering, regardless of Centering/Part. They tend toward the benefit of mutual interests, raw honesty, and consistency. MEntity: All of the above are in terms of the Body Type that dominates, regardless of Nature, Appearance, or Health. MEntity: However, there will always be a mix. MEntity: The above are tendencies as described in very simplistic and short paragraphs, but you may be able to see the validity that can lead to more detailed exploration. Luciana: "Could you explain the potential reasons for unjustified fears in life, such as a fear of dogs despite not having been attacked or bitten by one?" MEntity: We cannot explain them with one explanation, no. We can suggest that phobias are often symbolic of deeper issues, or speak to imprinted ideas that have origins that are forgotten. Many phobias are as simple as having heard a loud sound at the same time as the object of phobia being presented for the first time. For instance, many who fear buttons do so because of the experience of MEntity: rushed buttoning of clothes while toddlers or younger. Many who are afraid of dogs when one has no obvious cause for it are afraid because a parent was afraid. These instances can register and remain intact as indications of threat, even as there is no threat. Many fear snakes, not because they have been threatened by snakes, but because "everyone" is afraid of snakes. MEntity: Some phobias are inherent in the Instinctive Center and activated by those around the individual through imprinting. Some phobias are taught. Some are deeply symbolic. Some are not relevant to the object of phobia at all, but the object just happens to work. For example, if someone has a fear of intimacy that is repressed, he might redirect this as an allergy to cats, denying his fear of intimacy. MEntity: Many who are afraid of dogs are afraid of people. MEntity: Dogs become the focus of that fear. MEntity: A distrust in people translates into this phobia for dogs. MEntity: One must deal with people on a regular basis, so the fear is repressed to a great degree and redirects toward "man's best friend," since this can quite easily play out the actual fears and distrust of "being bitten" by people. MEntity: This is because dogs have come to regarded as extensions of people. MEntity: It is then "safer" to fear dogs and to navigate around them than it is to cripple oneself to the fears and distrust of all people. MEntity: Some phobias come up because of triggers that resonate with past lives, of course, when that which is feared is somehow linked to harm or death that went unresolved. However, it will still be true that this is relevant to issues in the current life. Experiences from Past lives are not imposed on a life, but they can be activated by the current life. MEntity: The above are some broad examples to help understand the nature of phobias.
