  1. *This is a summarized description created from the many sessions that can be found+read in the source material below. I tend to update these summaries often, so feel free to check in as more information may be gathered on this topic from newer sessions. An Emotionally Centered, Intellectual Part habitually processes life, things, people, events in terms of how those move+inspire them, and bypass their prejudices and logic to reach a place of direct perception. In short they process how they feel about what’s right, wrong, dangerous, safe, trusted or not. They will then think about and analyze those feelings; trying to conclude ideas, reasons, or insights from them, and communicating this. In short, they reason them out, or gain insight on what to choose. The TRAP of this Center/Part combo is that the emotions continue to listen to the symbols of life, while the intellect attempts to organize all the feelings and sentiments that result. There is no tangible outlet, so this cycle leads to agitation, restlessness, distraction, escape etc. The emotions become familiar then, and attached to the past, to wishes, to longings that the intellect desperately wants to resolve. The key to balance is in Moving Meditation; doing something with the body- exercise, yoga, tai-chi, stretching, attending to its health, dancing, taking a walk, or just taking a chance: taking a risk. -------------------------- SOURCE MATERIAL: Health of the Emotional Center Centers and Memory Center of Gravity Intellectual+Emotional Wounding/Healing Moving Center Meditation More on Meditation Sentimentality The 7 Emotions Member: PPLD- Pat's Essence+Blindspots How Insight+Productivity create Perception Member: Maureen- Trapped in Emotions & Music How Moving breaks Traps

    What is a Trap?

[Excerpt from Michael Speaks: Freedom from Life Traps] MEntity: So first we will say that there is a concept that could be described as a trap, but also described as weight, an anchor, a vortex, emptiness, and so forth, that describes the experience of your life in some way being held back to a degree that you have become aware of this. Some people have these same traps or anchors, or holes or emptiness, that do the same thing. It holds them back, but they are not aware of it and it does not matter to them, and these fragments can function in their lives in a way that is acceptable to them. But for some, who are either self-aware enough or sensitive enough, there is awareness that something is wrong, and by wrong we mean by your standards, and that is why those who have the same conditions that we will talk about today could function and be happy and fulfilled even though they have these same conditions as another person who has become aware of these conditions and feels the necessity for healing it. It is up to you how you deal with those conditions. So when we say that you know something is wrong, we mean that in the most relative and subjective sense possible. On your terms something is wrong. Something is holding you back. In our system of Overleaves we describe centers that help you understand your navigational process through a lifetime. On the most mundane of levels these are the Intellectual, Emotional and Moving centers. By the age of 3, most of you have decided which one of these centers is the most comfortable for your body, for your patterns of choice, for your intentions and so forth, and you will have that centering: Emotional Centering, Intellectual Centering or Moving Centering. This of course is flexible and can change all the time and at any point become replaced by new habits that you implement, but for the most part most personalities tend towards a centering that becomes habitual. This is relevant because as you progress through the lifetime you will develop preferences for your centering, not only primary centering, but a secondary centering, which is often what is described as the part of the centering. The third centering is the most neglected and/or the resolving center that helps to bring balance to the other two that are more habitually used. The goal for those of you who are self-aware enough is to use the centerings appropriately and at will, and consciously so that if you are in a situation that requires intellectual centering, then that is what you can pull up, if you are in a situation that is emotionally centered, then you are able to use that and if action is required then you can use that. All of this is relevant to the concept of healing your life, or freeing yourself from the traps that have developed over a period of time. You tend to try to solve your problems and issues and cumulative effects of wounding, using the most familiar and preferable combination of centering, and what you will end up doing is creating a trap, and that is why that term is relevant in regards to this topic. You will find yourself cycling through two components of your centering in a way that keeps that part of your life stuck and unchanging, becoming a form of weight, or vortex, emptiness, loneliness, unfulfilled intentions and dreams and so on, blocked creativity. What we are talking about today is the chronic aspects of these, not something short term. Are you aware of that sense of a trap that feels like it is holding you back, or blocking a sense of being fully alive, currently in your life now? It is not uncommon and certainly is not unsolvable. First we will point out that your primary centering is how you take in life. The part of your centering is how you put it back out there, and the tertiary centering is how you bring balance to those two — the center and the part — or break the pattern that has become a trap.

    Neglected Emotional Center

[Excerpt from: Michael Speaks: Freedom from Life Traps] MEntity: The same would apply to those who are Intellectually Centered Moving Part or Moving Centered Intellectual Part. That the allowance of feelings and the exploration of feelings and the embrace of inspiration, which is where the emotions and Inspirational Axis are tied together, would be a common neglected area of the life that might be obvious to a person with that centering combination. We realize that this sounds quite simplistic, to say that whatever centering of the three lower centers is neglected is the solution, but it truly is that simple. For an individual whose life feels as if it is blocked who is Emotionally Centered Intellectual Part, more action is necessary in that life to break that cycle and to free that individual from the effects of the Life Trap. Nothing else is required. For the individual who has neglected the Emotional Centering, allowing feelings, allowing affection, allowing anything that related to trusting and perception, would break the cycle. The emphasis on the neglected centering would be proportional to the weight of the Life Trap. So while someone who has neglected the Emotional Center could allow the experience of being hugged to be felt, it would not change the life in that moment. But in the same way that the Life Trap became a Life Trap through cumulative insults and wounding, so would the resolution come in cumulative effects. However it does not take as long as the Life Trap took to develop. It can be changed depending on the commitment and the awareness of the emphasis of the neglected center. ... Question: I have a question about Moving Part of the Intellectual Center. I never really did grasp what it meant not to use Emotional Center, as I don't feel that I am without feelings. I don't really see how it is applied in certain situations. MEntity: All of your centers are present and all of them are active to some degree. Some of them more restricted and in the negative poles and some of them more towards the positive poles and freer flowing of the energy relative to that centering. And in your case, you have continually, from what we can see, moved towards a greater capacity towards the positive poles of your centers, but the Life Trap would have come from frustration and annoyance, not only with others but with yourself, because of that Intellectual Center Moving Part trap. You would have developed many reasons for your experiences, and as you navigate it is based on reasons. And then the Moving Part would be bringing it back out into the world in forms of frenetic activity, doing just to be doing, or even frustration. Often this can also show up as rage and anger, which then of course can flip and become depression and defeat. It is not that you don't feel, but with this cycle being your trap, it is going to keep the emotions in a state of sentimentality, so that you blurred the line between symbols and meaning. That is how we describe the negative pole of the Emotions; that you have lost the differentiation between symbolism and meaning, so that if you are not showing up in a way that you feel you should be, that means something about you. If others do not show up the way that you expect them to show up, that means something about them. Or there may be attachments to figures in your life from the past that you feel have impacted you in some way. That if these individuals had not been that way, or were not that way or are not that way, then you may be clear. We could come up with many examples but we will leave it to you to find more relevant examples or more specific examples. The most obvious way, and the greater context in which the Emotions being neglected would show up for you is in the difference between trust and distrust. In the neglect of the Emotional Center, there is a greater distrust of yourself, of your life, of those in your life. Whereas the positive pole of the Emotions, which is Perception, moves into a state of trust, develops, builds and accumulates experiences that develop a sense of trust in the self in the life and in others. When that part or that centering is neglected, trust is a great issue. ... So what you would want to do as part of your solution to breaking that cycle is to consciously choose trust in situations that allow for it. By that we mean to fall back on experiential differentiation. You may have developed a distrust based on some things that have happened to you in your life, but every experience has the potential to bring new results. So therefore it is an opportunity to trust yourself, because at least you have that to depend on. You have survived situations, you have risen above situations, you have gotten through situations. You have been there for you. Even if you have been harsh sometimes, you have been there for you, and that is the first place that you can start for developing or choosing trust that at least I trust myself. No reasons, no necessary logic involved. No actions necessary, just the choice to trust. And in doing so, this can begin to extend to people around you and that doesn't mean always trusting in obvious ways. It can sometimes mean trusting that what is frustrating you about this person is okay, because that person has to make the choices necessary for his or her life, and whether they correspond elegantly with your own or not, does not determine your capacity for trust.
  4. [Excerpt from the July 2008 Energy Report, supplied by Ingun and Maureen] MEntity: By “meditate,” we describe a triad of effort that starts with Examination, moves into Implementation, and then into Realization. ... t would do our students well to Examine which of the primary centers (Moving, Emotional, or Intellectual) is least-used or most out of balance, (this should be rather obvious to most of you) and then Implement a behavior that brings about that Centering into your life. If you lack balance of Movement, then for a part of your week, your day, emphasize Movement: take a walk longer than you normally would; literally exercise; dance; stretch; do Yoga, etc. If you lack Emotional balance, then expose yourself to elements that provoke or soothe your emotions, such as listening to music (actually listening to it, not just having it as background); experiencing a live concert or performance; watching the sky, sunset, clouds; sitting with nature; etc. If you lack balance of Intellect, then for part of your week or your day, implement Intellectual experiences such as crossword puzzles, brain teasers; singing; shouting out randomly in nonsensical sounds to provoke laughter; telling the truth to a friend or self; writing a list of gratitude; sitting still; etc. On the other side of these experiences one would find the Realizations that come as part of Meditation.
  5. OMW - Jun 21, 2014 - You and Your Centers Channel: Troy Tolley MEntity: Hello to each of you. We are here, now. We can begin. Today we are asked to discuss each of the Centers/Chakras, not only in terms of their nature, but in fairly personal terms of where and how you are with the health, function, habits, blocks, and balance of your own. Instinctive Center - Regulates Choice What we will do is speak a bit about the Instinctive Center, then address that Center for each of you who are present, then the Lower Centers, then the Higher Centers. We know that time is limited and that we may not cover all of them, but we will attempt to do so. To help deliver this in as succinct a manner as possible, we will cover these elements of each Center: Basic Function, Most Obvious State of Positive Health, Most Obvious State of Negative Health, Most Direct Means of Healing, and then your assessment. The reasons that the "most obvious" states of health can be useful is because these states can help one to sense fairly easily which direction one is leaning, even if nowhere near the extreme. By "health" here we will mean this in terms of the Center, not necessarily in terms of symptoms in the body, which can often be symptoms of combinations of issues and not specific to a Center. For the most part, the more obvious health of your Centers can be seen in your behaviors long before your bodies. First, we will say that Center and Chakra are often used interchangeably because they are the same systems. However, in our teaching, "Center" is a reference to one's habitual "center of gravity," which is how one navigates the life. It is the funnel through which all experiences tend to first be processed by the Personality. Chakras, on the other hand, are more a teaching of the complex system of circuitry that runs as part of the various bodies, including how that links to Essence. In our teaching, "Center" extends to include all of those that are not your habitual "center of gravity" because each Center still has its use of all of the other Centers, its "Parts." So it is fair and safe to use these systems of understanding interchangeably, but there is a difference. Though none of you here are Centered in the Instinctive, your Instinctive Centers are as active as your Primary Center. No body or Personality can function without the Instinctive Center. It is from the Instinctive Center that the Personality arises. This is the only Center that is ever carried forward from each life. All others "die" with the bodies. Think of this as the "floppy disc," to use a rather outdated technological term that is carried from one life to another. It can also be "copied" easily among Concurrents, and then recombined in Reviews. No matter what your Primary Centering, the Instinctive Center will be your Center that regulates your capacity to CHOOSE. So in its simplest terms for this particular exchange on the topic, we will say that its Basic Function is the means by which the Personality will Regulate Choice. When the Instinctive Center is in its Positive Health, it shows up as owning the responsibility, consciousness, and capacity for choice. This means that the individual understands that, however restrictive the contexts, there will always be levels of choice with which one can work. One can be held captive in a box and still know that there is the capacity for choice for one or more bodies. The Physical Body, in that case, may have been stripped of choice, but the intellectual and Emotional bodies may still utilize Choice. This is an extreme, and disturbing, scenario to be used as an example, but we only do so to illustrate that some of your most restrictive scenarios in your life are nowhere near as restrictive as they could be. And you still have choice. The healthy Instinctive Center knows this. This does not mean you like your choices, or your range of choices, and that you may wish to work on expanding your range of choices, but there is, at no point, a sense that one no longer has a choice. The negative health of an Instinctive Center is when one begins to relinquish the responsibility of choice, and default only to reaction (rather than response). This Instinctive Center functions only as a means of navigating away from perceived or real threats. The life is spent only assessing threats. Possibilities become elusive and lose priority. This is sometimes necessary, so we do not mean "negative health" in terms of "bad," but more in the sense that the capacity for conscious choices has been reduced or honed toward only survival. Depending upon your Primary Centering, this can take the form of Emotional Survival, Intellectual Survival, or Material Survival. You will know if your Instinctive Center is leaning toward the Negative Health if you perceive your Emotional realm, Intellectual (expressive/social) realm, or Material Realm to have been reduced to a point of dependency, defense, or desperation. The most direct means of healing the Instinctive Center when in the Negative State of Health, or when damaged or "blocked" in any way, is to ask for help. Even if one were locked in a box, this is true. And most already know this, regardless of Soul Age, and "instinctively" call out for help, even to unknown or invisible forces when having fallen into Negative Health. We can safely say that each of you here lean toward your Negative end of Health for this Center. This is not a static state, but probably relative to your Primary Centering. [ViP1] i'd estimate i'm at the negative end at least 60 or 70 percent of the time [Janet] I’m very surprised. I would have said I lean toward the positive end [ClaireC] I know I fluctuate a lot. [ViP1] these days, at least, I think I've had times in the not too distant past that may have been closer to the opposite [GeraldineB] I'm somewhat surprised, too as while I have medical issues that are ongoing, I am seeking help for them [Ingun] I'm not surprised, I think most people lean more toward struggling in some way with survival issues, but fluctuating a lot. [ClaireC] Defense and desperation ring a bell. :) MEntity: Janet, we are not speaking in static terms, nor in assessment of more recent times, but in broader terms. However, it should be noted that even as each of you are far more conscious and in Positive Health of the Instinctive Center than most, you would not grow if not for the challenges that the Negative bring. [Ingun] Yes, that makes sense. [Janet] I agree that makes sense. [ViP1] what are those broader terms, Michael? [Maureen] I know I have had anxiety for, oh, about 6 million years or so. It's a hard habit to break. MEntity: It is not a report card, but a fact of incarnation. We could have posed the question as a "test" of your own understanding of this, but we do not think that the Instinctive Center is covered enough for that to be a fair question. [Janet] We incarnate in order to learn to choose. Once we have mastered that, we no longer need the experience. MEntity: It is natural for each of you to dip into the Negative on a regular basis, though some will tend to do so in more extreme ways than others. What may be new to you is the context in which this is most often played out, and this would TEND to be through what you identify as your Primary Centering. [GeraldineB] oops -- I slipped up again and used a standard definition for negative pole, not the Michael one MEntity: Even if someone struggles financially, but is Emotionally-Centered, it is in terms of Inspiration, self-esteem, meaning, etc. that this struggle plays out. Yes, there will still be the material, of course, but this person may have a much more difficult time separating his status from his sense of value. So when each of you sense your move into Negative Health of your Instinctive Center, note that, first, there is likely still a great range of choice, even if not what you would wish for it to be, and that you can make the effort to respond, rather than react, as a means of navigating a scenario, and finally, that you can ask for help. You may not get it, or you may have to ask more than you would like, but remembering that you can ask, that you have a right to ask, and that you may need to ask, is healthy. By "asking for help" here we do not mean coaxing someone else to do the work that you can do. Though we described each of you as leaning toward the Negative Health, we did so to point out its necessity to do so as a part of your living a life. Now we ask that each of you consider your own assessment. Share what you think is your likely percentage of Positive Health vs Negative Health as you see your life right now. [ViP1] for me, same as mentioned earlier - 60 to 70 percent in the reaction/survival in response to "threats" mode, which I understand now as Negative end of health of the instinctive center [GeraldineB] I would say that I'm reasonably healthy both mentally and emotionally, am in a state of wellbeing -- maybe 80% -- but, physical, am declining, so would put that at 50% or less even though I am seeking help [ViP1] by the way, that "right to ask for help" - is that one of the 7 basic Rights, Michael? [ClaireC] I could definitely ask for help a lot more, from my guides and Essence I suppose. [ClaireC] Positive 75% Negative 25%. [Maureen] I would say I may be at 80% Negative Health but I'm finding it hard to put a number to it. [Janet] It is hard for me to ask for help but I think I do it more often than I used to do. I’ve been working to avoid being reactionary. I am generally conscious of my right to choose. I can’t give a percentage for right now. I will have to give it thought. [Ingun] Fluctuating, but between Pos 40 - Neg 60 [GeraldineB] I still am locked into a belief system of "permanent conditions," rather than one that could be changed by other beliefs and/or Essence [ClaireC] I think our physical health affects our emotional health and outlook. MEntity: Visaish, yes. The "right to ask for help" is a subset of the most basic Right to Be Real, to Exist. No one exists in a vacuum. [ViP1] great, thank you (as I saw from other material you shared through Troy, that is indeed the Right that is related to the Instinctive Center.) [Ingun] I would guess I sometimes can be in more than 60% Neg Health also, and also in more than 40% Pos Health [Ingun] I'm also working on asking more for help. [Maureen] I have a hard time asking for help. Half the time I wouldn't even know what to ask for. It's more feelings. MEntity: We would wish to add that "asking for help" includes asking this of yourself. For some, this does not occur to them. There is a complete sense of paralysis, fear, defense, distance, etc. They can even use their conscious choice to refuse to choose. [ClaireC] Our interactions with Michael are a way of asking and receiving help. [ViP1] agreed, Claire MEntity: Claire, we agree. [Maureen] I agree too Claire. MEntity: We would point out that our exchanges with you, in that regard, are not one-way. You help us. Our invitation to our teaching is a request for your help. We cannot evolve without you. [ViP1] oh wow, that really touches me for some reason... [ViP1] but I'm glad to help [ClaireC] That is touching, ViP. MEntity: Existence is never a vacuum. Not even in the High Planes. [ViP1] "Vacuum" and "aloneness" are different things, in the way you use those terms, right Michael? [Maureen] I do ask Essence and my Guides for help and Michael, of course. It's just harder to ask for what I need from a living, breathing person. [Maureen] maybe it's a Priest thing. [ClaireC] But you're really good at offering and giving help, Maureen. MEntity: Correct. Aloneness is recognition of one's existence as singular representative of wholeness, while being a part of a greater wholeness. Vacuum is an emphasis on a false sense of distance between the self and other. Maureen, eventually, it is understood that help is effective and accessible from all realms of relevance. [Maureen] understanding it and asking for it are two different things -- aren't they? MEntity: It is often useless to ask "God" or guides to help one with material concerns, for instance, and much more effective to ask for help from those within the relevant realm. "God" and guides can help one with the less-dense dimensions. We agree, Maureen. [ViP1] you agree that this is a difficulty that Priests especially have, Michael? MEntity: That is the case with any learning. The gap between learning and application. [ViP1] oh sorry, never mind MEntity: It is not unique to Priests. [ViP1] that's what I thought, I misunderstood which of Maureen's comments you were responding to - please ignore, sorry MEntity: We understand. To continue with the Centers: [ViP1] by the way Michael, what do you think of our assessments of ourselves in terms of negative vs positive percentages for the Instinctive centers? MEntity: We think they are fair, even if leaning a bit on the high side for Negative Health. We think that each of you are closer to the middle than that. [ViP1] ok, thank you! MEntity: The assessments we see are when you are at your "worst." To clarify: the assessments each of you offered are more accurate to when you are at your "worst." [Maureen] When I am bad -- I am really bad. :) [ClaireC] :) [Ingun] How will it be played out if an Intellectually-centered person struggles financially? MEntity: This might tend to show up more in terms of how this represents the individual, how others might see that individual, and/or how this person struggles to express himself or herself, to give presence and form to the self in the world. It is a struggle with havingness and self-worth. Which is different from self-esteem, by the way. Self-esteem is how one feels about the self, while self-worth is about how one thinks about the self. Self-esteem is the use of relationships as reflections of self. Self-worth is the use of things as expressions of self. [Ingun] Thanks. Please continue with the centers/chakras ... Moving Center - Linked to Goal MEntity: MOVING CENTER has as its Basic Functions the regulation of your movements, directions, and paths. In its simplest description for this exchange, we can say that it is how one navigates WHAT WORKS and WHAT DOES NOT WORK. This is everyone's means of creating or clearing his or her path through life. It is directly linked to the Goal. No matter what your Goal, in terms of Axis, it is your ACTIONS that create or clear your path to fulfilling it. One cannot fulfill their Goal in any lifetime without ACTION. In Positive Health, this shows up as an evolving capacity for LEARNING. Though learning happens among all Centers, there must be application and implementation for true learning while in a body. Regardless of one's Primary Centering, this Center is where one actually learns, at least in terms of the lifetime. Not necessarily how one learns math or how to raise a plant. Those who are Moving Centered will tend to have greater emphasis on the Goal as their priority for the life. When the Moving Center is in Negative Health, it often shows up for the older soul as AGITATION. One of the most direct means of healing this Center is to apply what one has learned. It is that simple. Keep in mind that this prompt for application of learning can come in the form of impulses, a quiet sense of knowing what one "should" do, and often as your means of handling pain. On the scale between AGITATION and APPLICATION/LEARNING, where do each of you feel you might fall in terms of learning? You need not use a number, just a sense of direction. [ViP1] I think I lean more toward agitation, but not too far off the "50/50" mark [Janet] I have been studying and have received many tips from you Michael that would aid in my goal of (self-)Dominance. But the tips are hard to apply so I clearly haven’t learned them. I am definitely on the negative side here. [Maureen] I have one foot in agitation and one foot in application -- on average I'm uncomfortable. [ClaireC] Confusion at times, some Agitation. [ViP1] I think I tend to react to agitation with freneticism and/or tendencies to addictive behaviors as a distraction from the agitation, but I do believe I'm getting better at applying what I am learning [ClaireC] I work on Application constantly. MEntity: The reason there is a Goal is because it will require the use of the Moving Center in some way, even if one is not Moving Centered. When looking at how you are Agitated, look to your Goal. In most cases, it is directly relevant. [Maureen] That makes sense. [Ingun] Fluctuating, but 45-55 [Janet] Oh that’s good advice. MEntity: It would indicate that you may not be applying all that you have learned. [GeraldineB] I could be self-deluded, but I don't feel all that much agitation with my Goal -- I've gotten quite patient with myself MEntity: Agitation tends not to come unless there is Learning that is not being applied. Agitation is a kind of short-circuiting that indicates the gap between action and experience/knowledge. [GeraldineB] I'm in such a constant state of learning, it's like all of it just keeps rolling over and into itself [ViP1] I like that description of Agitation [ClaireC] Me too. [Maureen] Me too [ViP1] :-) [Ingun] I know I'm not applying everything I have learned MEntity: For example, if you you find yourself in a pattern of Agitation with certain "kinds of people," or a circumstance, or relationship, you may not be applying the experiences and knowledge that has come from previous fulfillment of the Goal. [Janet] That definitely happens to me. I’m doing better though. MEntity: Each of you continue to do better. If not, you would not be here. [ClaireC] I would imagine that one's Frequency of processing would help here. MEntity: It is relevant, but one end of the range is not better than another. Not allowing oneself to process at one's natural Frequency can be troublesome, though. [ViP1] you said that when not manifesting Essence, one tends to process closer to the default Frequency of their Role, rather than the Frequency of their Spark/Essence, right Michael? [GeraldineB] I'm not familiar with that idea -- does each role have a default frequency? [ViP1] it appears so, it was in a question that I asked in a Michael Speaks [ViP1] or a default range of frequencies [ViP1] or an Ask Michael, I can't remember which MEntity: In the same way that Bodies are 100% Male Energy when of the male gender or 100% Female Energy when of the female gender (in most cases), so are Roles locked into a range of frequency. This range of frequency is not the same as that of Essence, so Essence will trump that frequency, in the same way that it does in the Body's Energy Ratio. This is how one can find a low Frequency Priest and a high Frequency Priest, even if the default range of frequency for the Priest Role is high. And how one can find a high "female energy" man and a high "male energy" female. When one neglects the care of the body, Energy Ratio starts to move toward the default. When one rejects Essence, the default range of frequency for processing in the Personality is that of the Role. [GeraldineB] Do we have a list of the defaults for each Role? [ViP1] ok, so that is the case when rejecting essence, rather than NOT Manifesting essence then (rejecting Essence is not the same as not Manifesting Essence) [ViP1] Not through Troy, G [ViP1] not that I know of at least [ViP1] sorry if I'm derailing the topic of the session by now though... please continue with the Centers if we can take up Frequency further in a different exchange :-) Emotional Center - Linked to Mode MEntity: The EMOTIONAL CENTER has as its Basic Functions the regulation of your intimacy, empathy, and sensitivity. In its simplest description for this exchange, we can say that is how one navigates between MEANINGFUL and MEANINGLESS. This is everyone's way of infusing or extracting meaning from his or her path/experiences in life. It is directly linked to the MODE. No matter what your Mode, in terms of Axis, it is your EMOTIONS that create or destroy your sense of meaning from your experiences. One cannot fulfill any range of significance in intimacy, sensitivity, without having infused or extracted Meaning. One cannot implement the Mode in any healthy way without evolving one's range of INSPIRATION. The more one limits his or her sense of Inspiration, the less-likely one can relate to others, to see himself or herself in others, and more importantly, less-likely to recognize others in himself or herself. By "others," we speak of any creature, sentient or non-sentient. In Positive Health, this Center could be described as showing up as GIVING/GENEROUS. In Negative Health, it can show up as RESENTFUL. The means by which the Mode is fulfilled at its best is when approached from this state of Giving/Generosity. The trick here is that no lifetime can be experienced without some experience in giving, but when one begins to keep score, to stand in righteousness, to give when not fully capable of giving, then Resentment begins to step in. So the evolution of Giving is a matter of one's evolution of Meaning. As each of you look at your Emotional Center, how often do you feel Resentment? How often do you feel that you Give in meaningful ways? How honest are you in your stating Yes? No? [Janet] ‘Resentful’ feels strong but I recognize it at times. I am definitely on the negative side here. [Janet] I think we are hoping to pursue intellectual center to get a balanced transcript. [GeraldineB] Yes, I agree with Janet MEntity: In that case, we will close on the Emotional Center by stating that the state of your relationships is a fair means of assessing where you are in terms of Health in the Emotional Center. Intellectual Center - Linked to Attitude The INTELLECTUAL CENTER, then, has as its Basic Functions the regulation of your impact, effect, and presence on your path in this life. In its simplest description for this exchange, we can say that it is how one navigates between HONESTY/Innocence and DECEIT/Jaded. This is everyone's way of testing out behaviors, traits, and negotiation in terms of their effects, impact, and presence in form. It is directly linked to the ATTITUDE. No matter what your Attitude, in terms of Axis, it is your INTELLECTUAL CENTER that runs the core of your basic philosophy about this life. One cannot test out one's philosophy without experimenting in the range between Honesty and Deceit, both in terms of others and the self. The Attitude cannot function in any healthy way without this Center moving more and more toward Honesty. The more one limits his or her sense of Expression, which can show up as false personas, lying to oneself, lying to others, not questioning inherited philosophies, avoiding contact, evading society, etc. the more one falls into Deceit. Or Jaded. In Positive Health, this Center could be described as ENCOURAGED. In Negative Health, it can show up as DISMISSIVE. The means by which the Attitude is held in the Positive Pole is at its best when one is Encouraged, or Encouraging. The most direct way of healing this Center is through QUESTIONING. By this we mean that one does not operate from a higher proportion of presumptions and prejudices than one does from curiosity and inquisitiveness. So the questions here, for your assessment of health of the Intellect, is in how often you feel discouraged, jaded, avoiding of contact vs curious, inquisitive, and having an impact. How often do you turn to your sense of encouragement over your sense of dismissiveness? [Janet] This is one center where I think I’m on the positive side. [Janet] Recently anyhow. [ViP1] I think I too might be slightly more on the positive side recently, than the negative [ClaireC] Michael, does this apply to the Intellectual Part as well? MEntity: We are speaking today of these Centers, regardless of Part or Primary. [ClaireC] Okay. [ClaireC] I tend to be on the Positive side here. [GeraldineB] I'm definitely on the more positive side -- it's a major component of post-5th IM MEntity: All of these Centers are functioning in each of you in many ways at all times, though the range varies in terms of health and awareness. [Ingun] I'm sure I have a potential for healing here as well as in all my centers. [Janet] Since yours is an intellectual teaching MIchael, are most of us here more likely to lean toward the positive side of this center? Is there a correlation between being drawn to these teachings and the impact on the intellectual center? MEntity: We think we have shared enough for each of you to consider how these can be checked on for their health, and how to bring them back into positive health, if you choose to do so. It can also help you to understand the point of your falling into negative health, which is not because of failure or doing something "wrong," but that you have a chance to evolve. [Maureen] I'm been focusing on the internal dialogue that goes on in this center as a way towards better health. It isn't always what other people see or how you are in relationships that need "the work". MEntity: Ingun, yes. We will conclude here today by saying that each of you, while allowing yourselves the room for the Negative Health of these Centers, always move back into Positive Health as your integration and evolution. That is the nature of the older souls in positive poles. That is the nature of a true student.
  6. I found it interesting a while back when I saw some mental illnesses are caused by Centering Issues, when not caused by actual physical damage. I'm not inclined to automatically agree with this, but I am intrigued by it. It states OCD(Obsessive Compulsive Disorder) is often caused by a breakdown in communication between physiological aspects of self. Schizophrenia is often caused by a breakdown in communication between emotional aspects of self. And Multiples(Dissociative Identity Disorder) is often caused by a breakdown in communication between intellectual aspects of self. It also states Bi-Polar is often attributed to those operating in the Intellectually Centered, Moving Part function. While Schizophrenia is often attributed to those operating in the Emotionally Centered, Moving Part. Assuming this is true, I wonder what the other Center>Parts would specifically struggle with? Perhaps OCD is of the Moving>Emotional function more specifically, and DID is of the Intellectual>Emotional function? Specific anxiety disorders could be of Emotional>Intellectual, while Moving>Intellectual might be inclined to Cluster B Personality Disorders. Dunno, those are just theories based on what I've read. I'm aware Centering does change frequently though, because it's habitual.
  7. *This is a summarized description created from the many sessions that can be found+read in the source material below. I tend to update these summaries often, so feel free to check in as more information may be gathered on this topic from newer sessions. A Moving Centered, Intellectual Part habitually processes life, things, people, events in terms of how their body feels, moves in the world around, and processes energy in reaction/response to those. They will then think about and analyze those actions/sensations; trying to conclude ideas, reasons or insights from them, and communicating this. In short, they reason them out, or gain insight on what to choose. The TRAP of this Center/Part combo is that reactions beget plans, reasons and strategies from the intellect that seek a straight-forward path and easy explanations, but it lacks heart. Emotional sensitivity can show up in thin-skinned ways, and double-standards that are quite confusing- all while there’s a lack of understanding of the feelings, aspirations and perspectives of others and the self. The key to balance is in Emotional Meditation; Cathartic Expression, Actively listening to Music they resonate with, Taking in Beautiful Sceneries, having a night of tears+intensity at the movies etc. -------------------------- SOURCE MATERIAL: Health of the Moving Center Centers and Memory Center of Gravity Intellectual+Emotional Wounding/Healing Emotional Center Meditation More on Meditation The Moving+Higher Moving Centers September 2009 Energy Report- Laughter is Vital for Movement Trump & Hitler- "Heartless"

I tend to update these summaries often, so feel free to check in as more information may be gathered on this topic from newer sessions. An Intellectually Centered, Moving Part habitually processes life, things, people, events in terms of how they’re expressed, formed, logical, make sense and bring insight to them. They think through it. They will then act on those thoughts; either in agitated, frustrated and repetitive ways- or in productive and graceful ways. In short, they will then direct their energy out of themselves to act in the environment. The Moving Part turns thoughts into impulses, hunches, intuition, activity. The TRAP of this Center/Part combo is that when emotions and inspiration are pushed to the side- actions can simply become frustrated reactions, and they feel like life is out of control- a series of putting out fires or endlessly juggling a bunch of spinning plates. The key to balance is in Emotional Meditation; Cathartic Expression, Actively listening to Music they resonate with, Taking in Beautiful Sceneries, having a night of tears+intensity at the movies etc. -------------------------- SOURCE MATERIAL: Health of the Intellectual Center Centers and Memory Center of Gravity Intellectual+Emotional Wounding/Healing April 2016 Energy Report- Reasoning vs Insight Emotional Center Meditation More on Meditation Member: AlG- Intellectually Centered- Moving+Emotional Parts How Emotion/Inspiration breaks Traps

An Intellectually Centered, Emotional Part habitually processes life, things, people, events in terms of how they’re expressed, formed, logical, make sense and bring insight to them. They think through it. They will then feel through and intuit their thoughts, feeling provoked or inspired by feelings, inspirations, longings, knowings or attachments. However, the Emotional Part is mute and internal- they would have a difficult time expressing their thoughts and speaking about their feelings+experiences; instead, they would just live them out. The TRAP of this Center/Part combo is that they will often seek to analyze + understand their emotions, yet emotions are not logical, and so they analyze endlessly- leading to anxiousness, obsessiveness, overwhelm. The body then cries out from the stress, leading to over reaction or breakdown as a last resort. The key to balance is in Moving Meditation; doing something with the body- exercise, yoga, tai-chi, stretching, attending to its health, dancing, taking a walk, or just taking a chance: taking a risk. -------------------------- SOURCE MATERIAL: Health of the Intellectual Center Centers and Memory Center of Gravity Intellectual+Emotional Wounding/Healing April 2016 Energy Report- Reasoning vs Insight Moving Center Meditation More on Meditation Member: AlG- Intellectually Centered- Emotional+Moving Parts Member: Daniela- Essence Report Member: Ingun- Intellectually Centered Emotional Part How Moving breaks Traps
  10. Michael Speaks, October 28, 2012 Open Floor Questions 12:41 PM 10/28/2012 [tkmppi] As the votes in municipal elections are just being counted, I'd like to hear a short comment from Michael on the populist party Perussuomalaiset (”The Finns”), with candidates of foreign background as well as those opposed to immigration, which appears to be the only winning party in these elections, although not as many votes as it got in the parliamentary elections last year [MEntity] We will offer a short comment: This Party appears to be comprised of early Mature souls who are working to clarify what they deem is an optimal balance between the social and economic contexts. If it were put into terms familiar to our teaching, it might be described as the "self-karmic" Party, with those feeling resonance with it working through internal conflicts that go hand in hand with evolving consciousness that also wants to retain familiarities. This is just a short comment with no emphasis or direction, so if you would like for us to clarify, or if you do not find this valid or relevant, you may say so, if you choose. [tkmppi] It's relevant, and clarifies my own feelings about the party. [Ingun] Could you share some of the overleaves or any comments on what Anders Behring Breivik did, the perpetrator of the 2011 attacks here in Norway. [MEntity] This appears to be an early Young Priest in the Negative Poles who could not fathom a direction of a world away from his own ideals, which appear to have been imprinted heavily and never questioned. It goes beyond this, in that it was not about the world moving in a direction away from his own ideals, but about removing those who represented that move away from the ideals. When one has deemed oneself a keeper of an ideal that does not allow for variations or inclusion of differences, it can lead to delusional violence that range between the acts of this Priest to political maneuvers to enact oppressive laws. With a Goal of Submission, Mode of Passion, Attitude of Idealism, and Chief Features of Impatience and Martyrdom, all of which were in the Negative Poles, were used to funnel a violent assault that was consciously chosen with conviction and with a sense of justification. [Maureen] Michael – you said: “Every Entity 5 is themed in Expansion vs Adventure, and in this case, this Entity is scattered across the planet, constantly moving, with not too many fragments from that entity getting too close together.” Considering we are usually spread out around the world, I know of 7 C1E5s (including me) living in Toronto. I feel like we are starting to gather together for some reason as many of us have had first contact or have gotten back in touch in the last 2 years. Is this a high number for one location or is this just a “coincidence”? One thing of note -- we do have different levels of contact with each other (i.e. I've never met one of the other Entity 5 members, in person). [MEntity] Maureen, many entity members who can, will manage to cross paths in some way, or be brought to the awareness of, the 7th Level Old who may or may not return. This is not unusual, and it is one of the "fun things" that is attempted for one who is 7th Level Old. Especially if that entity has been themed in keeping intimacy across time and space barriers throughout lifetimes. [Maureen] Thank you! [MEntity] That is not the only reason, of course, because these fragments have lives that are being shaped by their own choices, but it is part of the consideration. And though this entity can tend to be scattered, as the entity members age in Soul Age, the gravity of the reunion begins to become priority. [Diane_HB] When people are regressed into the Theta state, they remember their time between lives and the procedures that they go through to reincarnate. They talk about taking a certain amount of energy to earth -- between 35% to 75%. Why do people under hypnosis experience themselves as choosing new lives and not Essence making new fragments? [MEntity] When the regression is valid, there is little differentiation between the Personality and Essence, much in the same way that one might begin to live when Manifesting Essence. The "I" is Essence. The Essence includes the current Personality. The differentiation is moot. In those descriptions of quantifiable "energy," it may be a description of the Instinctive Center being carried forward after Review, or the uploading of the relevant data, so to speak. Beyond that, the perception would, naturally, TEND to be from the perspective of the current Personality, regardless of how deep the state. [Diane_HB] I thought uploading of data is from personality to essence, whereas the Michael Newton books talk about "bringing down energy" in terms of the "soul" using a percentage of its energy to incarnate. [MEntity] Both would be true. Data can be "uploaded" from Personality, especially while still incarnated, but is often still in charge of that work during Review, after a lifetime. This is, basically, a dumping of all data relative to the Chakras used by that Personality. The Instinctive Center, sans those extensions that were the Chakras for that lifetime, is then moved into another life and Personality, which will then extract and build its own relative Chakra system. Imagine the Instinctive Center as a kind of Annual Plant that always returns with new growth, but always from the same starting point. In terms of incarnation, that plant grows faster and stronger in each successive life, if you will. Every incarnation takes a certain amount of energy, and each lifetime comes with a certain amount built in from which to then build from, either with or without Essence. That allotted energy tends to be relative to the amount of data extracted from the Instinctive Center from the previous life and Personality, if we are going to describe this in a linear way. For example, if 75% of the Instinctive Center was usable data that was completion of Monads, Karma, etc, or as data that must be returned to in much later incarnations, then when the incarnation is set up, it might be said to have been sent with "75%" energy. That would be because 25% of the Instinctive Center is being carried forward, with 75% of new Essence energy for new experiences, plans, momentum, etc. [Diane_HB] Would somebody with "75%" energy *feel* more energetic than someone with "35%" energy? [MEntity] It is not that it is 75% of Essence, but rather a description of that which is refreshed in the Instinctive Center. For instance, those who are in the 6th Level of a Soul Age tend to have carried over a rather full Instinctive Center, whereas those in the 5th Levels tend to have a higher percentage of new space in their Instinctive Center. Again, this is a crude and limited description, but it is valid enough for beginning to understand. The amount of "new energy" versus carry-over of Instinctive data has no bearing on the feeling of "energy" of a lifetime, because everyone responds to either of these extremes in different ways. For example, there are those on the 6th Level with "jammed-packed" Instinctive Centers carried over so that as much Karma (both internally and externally) can be addressed as possible, and some will feel the weight of this and feel the pull below the water, while others keep their heads above water and gain a kind of optimistic strength, even as they tread the exhausting waters of that life. The feelings of "energetic" are shaped by choices, health, priorities, diet, geography, projects, etc. not by past lives or energy dynamics of Essence or Instinctive Center. [ClaireC] Hello, Michael. We touched on Dementia at last Wednesday's POF. Since this is such a difficult Choice to understand and knowing that a lot depends on the individuals' soul ages, can you elaborate more on this in view of our aging Baby-Boomer population and the dismal statistics facing us? Is there a large physical component too? [MEntity] Though we tend to emphasize the more metaphysical components of an ailment, disease, or injury, there are basic physical factors that are involved that matter. We can expound upon the metaphysical matters that are behind a person who is hit by a bus, but the fact that will remain that anyone hit by a bus is probably going to get injured, or die. A bus is a large object that, when hurdling through space toward a softer object, may tend toward devastating results. And so it is with the Human body: as it moves through time and space, it does not regenerate and renew in ways that enable it to live "forever," but as the time frame for life expands, so does the body begin to house a brain with diminishing capacities for functioning as it used to function. For many fragments, however, this is not as ugly an experience as it would seem to be, anymore than birth is an ugly experience. The developing brain in a "useless" body is no different than a diminishing brain in a "useless" body. The return to an infantile state can be greatly liberating to a Personality who may have repressed a great deal over the lifetime. The development of some form of Dementia tends to be relative to the level of repression that may have been involved in the life, relative to the denial of dependency, relative to the insistence on control, and so many other factors. It is as diverse in "reason for having" as any other condition. But we can say that diet contributes greatly to the eventual condition. [ClaireC] I thought so. Thank you. [Martha] Yesterday I met Damien Echols and his wife Lorri Davis, and read Damien's very priest-y book about his spiritual journey while on death row for nearly 20 years in brutal conditions. Their story seems full of major karma, monads, and the makings of an epic tale. His focus on staying an awake and growing spiritual person, while surrounded by what sounds like much younger souls and/or those who never progressed through even the earliest internal monads, is very inspiring. He's had some truly amazing support as well from lots of people. I know some of their story may still be private due to ongoing karma, but can you share something about what all is going on here? He and the rest of the West Memphis 3 were recently released but not exonerated. I think Arkansas does not want to admit how badly they fucked up. [MEntity] This is an example of a Server and how one lifetime can be the equivalent of 30 for other fragments. This is a cluster of "classic" Monads come to full completion (or near completion) in one lifetime for the fragments involved: Attacker/Victim; Healer/Healed; Rescuer/Rescued; Dependent/Independent; Pivotal Facilitator, Facilitated; Passive/Aggressive; Artist/Patron; Deserter/Abandoned; Defender/Defended; Player/Pawn; Hidden/Disclosed; Slander/Slandered; Jailer/Prisoner; Tandem Monads. [AnnH] jesus [Martha] holy shit [MEntity] The "priest-y" qualities may come from the Sage Casting and imprinting from his culture, and contribute to his efforts to turn this experience into a teaching. [Martha] is he a Michael student? [Martha] not this life, but in general? [MEntity] Yes, he is. He is from Cadre 11. [Martha] I had a recognition hit with him and his wife [MEntity] Your Cadre 11. This is not to say that this was planned or imposed upon the Personality, but that once there was a situation that presented itself as being optimal for "making the best of it," these Monads were pulled in over time. [Janet] My attitude is Stoic and I have found little documentation -- only generalities -- as to what this attitude entails. (For example: “sees life as if they have seen it all before”.) Most of the references to Stoic that I've found are in association with those who are Spiritualist and need to use the positive pole of Stoic to get out of negative pole of Spiritualist. For the benefit of all of us Stoics, can you perhaps provide little more info about this attitude? Are there identifiable degrees between the positive and negative poles? [MEntity] Janet, the Stoic is one who interprets life in terms of behavior and character vs claims and descriptions. Character and behavior must take priority over other facets of interpretation. For instance, it will not matter what one says, but what one does, who one IS. The Stoic explores the world of ethics as sustained and nurtured through self-management, self-awareness, self-control. This realm of ethic evolves from being standardized in the younger Soul Ages to being highly individualized by the Old Soul Age, with nuances granted. We have described the Stoic as "one who sees the world as if it has been seen before" because the Stoic uses one's "nature" as the defining force against which to measure ethics and authenticity. This nature is a constant, even if individualized. In short, the older Soul Stoic might simply see the world in terms of how true one is to oneself. And "oneself" is one's nature, and this is fairly constant, if not completely constant. It can be built upon, evolved, expanded, destroyed, crippled, wounded, but it is a constant that is fairly easy to discern by the Stoic. The Stoic interprets life with a spectrum of understanding that one's nature is naturally limiting, that one's environment is naturally constricting, that one's upbringing has its effects, and so on, and that all of these things contribute to the character and behavior of a person in a way that is somewhat deterministic. That a person is the way he is because that is what he has to work with. [Janet] I assume the Stoic applies this yardstick both to herself and to others. [MEntity] In the Positive Pole, Tranquility, the Stoic is not disappointed, not disoriented, and not reactionary to the ups and downs of life, or the behavior and choices of others. This Stoic does not see these as "good" or "bad" things, but as symptoms of the nature of someone or something. This Stoic works with that. As this is an Ordinal, Inspirational Attitude, it can see itself in anyone around, as Inspiration is merely reflection of potential used for benefit. The Negative Pole Stoic has moved into Resignation and no longer bothers with the nuances and potential, but determines that everyone is the same, or potentially the same, and that there is no use or hope in seeing anything differently. And, yes, this is both internal and external, Janet. None of this is to say that a Stoic is not expressive or that she does not wish for more, have opinions, experience expectations, because there are several elements at play in a Personality, but the older Stoic in the Positive Pole WILL tend to aim for that recognition of the nature of a person or situation over the expectations and demands of that person or situation, while the older Stoic in the Negative Pole will tend to dismiss any effort to consider beyond a conclusion drawn. Do you relate? [Janet] Yes. Very much so. [jesuislulu] Hello Michael, I felt the recent divergence quite viscerally. Feeling like I had begun walking away from this city and overall almost all aspects of political polarization. I would like you to elaborate on what the effects were regarding the current crossroads we are finding ourselves with such a polarized political situation. I have been living in a highly republican state feeling a fish out of water and am going tomorrow for a job interview in yet another state with a similar political climate. I was asked the other day what would be any different. Could you speak to the overall energetics of the Wilmington NC area? [MEntity] All Old Souls are going to experience the "fish out of water" experience to some degree in a world that currently hosts only a maximum of 10% of an Old Soul perspective (mostly found in science fiction and non-religious metaphysical circles), no matter where one lives. This will probably not change in your lifetimes. One of the challenges of an Old Soul is how to balance the higher perspective of life that works for the Old Soul, while teaching it, which is inherently a part of every Old Soul to do in some way. So the matter is not so much about what the rest of the world, or state, or county, or province, or city or town is doing or believing or practicing, but how you go about teaching what you want to teach. [jesuislulu] ok I get this [MEntity] Some of the truths learned by Old Souls is that their perspective (teaching) cannot be imposed, cannot be forced, and cannot be immediately understood or accepted. [jesuislulu] hence the fish outta water [MEntity] And that the teaching must come naturally, not from reaction, urgency, or manipulation. By "naturally," we mean that it is born of example, conversation, encouragement, education, etc. And most importantly: that not everyone wants to, or can, understand or learn your teaching. Yet. If an Old Soul is in a body, he or she is teaching. It is not something that is necessary to organize or focus. It is quite difficult for most Old Souls NOT to live their own teachings, and this is their most consistent means of teaching. However, some of the Old Souls' most difficult and challenging teachings is to move beyond the focus of how others are failing, and to continue learning, themselves. The Old Soul who is distracted with the failings of others has stopped learning. Not literally, but figuratively, in many ways. All of this is barring the conditions of someone, or a group, somehow interfering with, or removing, your capacity for choice, or your Rights within that shared paradigm. In that case, it is no longer a matter of teaching, then, but a matter of putting into effect everything relevant that you have learned, as best you can. You may not change the city, but you do not have to diminish your value as a person for the sake of someone else's imposed beliefs put into action. Beliefs are one thing, but when put into action that may interfere with your choice or Rights, then the choice to counter this, or not, becomes its own teaching. We are speaking in broader contexts than your city in question, of course, but this is relevant to all of our students in the world, wherever they are. The United States is quite clearly divided in its embodying of the shift from Young to Mature, with the Baby and Young on "one side" and the Mature and Old on the other. This is the most definitive we have seen it in a long time, but tends to be one of the symptoms of a paradigm shift forward, not backward. By "forward" we mean more inclusive. The more inclusive a paradigm, the more blatantly the exclusive are allowed to be. This is true of your own Personalities, as well. You can be in your Positive Poles, and still throw a tantrum, because you know you will, eventually, make the choice that is the best you can make. You can be in your Positive Poles and still worry about a job interview, because it is fair to be uncertain about the future when it is dependent upon the decision of someone else, all the while still knowing you will adapt and evolve with whatever you may encounter. The greater the inclusivity, the louder the exclusivity, both in the world, and in yourselves. Because it knows it is safe, so to speak. You are in the middle of an area that is quite unlike yourself, not for any other reason than that you have evolved to a point where this can be allowed in your world, even as you find great distaste for it. We must conclude here for tonight.
