Since the original material was obtained within days of the event, I have added it to the collection of 2001 transcripts. Since we are coming up on the 9/11 Anniversary, and I came across this "Reissue" of the World Trade Center Report -- I'm including it verbatim as posted on the group list. Its point of reference is Sept 11, 2004 with a reissue of the report written and posted on Sept 21, 2001. With the 3rd year anniversary of the World Trade Center attacks coming up, and the Republican Convention looming, and with a rise in recent requests to dig out this original Q&A with Michael, I have decided to send out this report for discussion. Reading it again after all of this time is strange and comforting, and now I have plenty more questions I feel I can ask. Please offer discussion and feedback at your convenience! I am sending this in an email and as a Word Document. Part of the editing I did was add Footer Notes to help define or explain some of the more complicated terminology. No other channeling had been publicly offered by that time and I felt it was very important to gain a metaphysical perspective of the event as soon as possible (for my own sake, if for no other reason). Some grammatical editing has occurred since the original sharing. ORIGINAL LETTER: Hello all, This channeling is by no means complete or even that useful, but here is what I got so far. I felt the clarity of connection to Michael opening and took advantage of that, even though I have been deeply affected by physically seeing the event unfold, including seeing one of the towers collapse before my eyes. This channeling may conflict with other channel’s work, but I only ask that you use each piece offered by channels as parts of the same event as described in the dark. Maybe a whole picture could come from that. I am also embarrassed to say that I am in no way an historian and I do not feel comfortable going too far into historical information. I have no clue if "wenis" (what the hell kind of name is that??) or teti are real and part of that time frame (I can't do any internet research from here to validate the channeling), so I am putting this out there with a gamble. PLEASE be gentle, but I would also love any insights to be shared, or questions to be asked, if more information is wanted. Since I posed the question to Michael broadly (“Michael, please comment on this event”), they responded from multiple angles. I am sure some of you can come up with far better, more direct questions. Ha ha... 092101 Michael on the terrorist attack of 091101 MICHAEL: We doubt we will bring much solace to the reality of events that took place on September 11, 2001 in the United States, but we can provide what we are able to gather as the dynamics behind the event, what those dynamics might mean literally and symbolically, and where events may go from there. We have experienced our own tragedies and losses while we were extant and fragmented, feeling deep grief, loss, confusion, and pain over events that were relative to our own progress on Earth. We bring this up to remind you that we have not forgotten what it means to be in a body and a part of humanity. The fact that we are in a position to view events from a Causal perspective does not diminish the process that is part of being Physical. Life can be painful. We remember. We will begin with the dynamics behind this event: This event is one of tangled, yet elegantly-played out Karma between Cadres, Fragments, and Countries. There are symbolic properties to this event, but first we will address the various players as they are known at this time. We will describe them in terms of our system. The fragments involved in the collapse of the World Trade Center were nearly-entirely from the same Cadre. There were other fragments involved from outside of that single Cadre, but most who perished were from entities within Cadre 9, Energy Ring 7[*] . Cadre #9’s are always in the DISCIPLINE Position[†] within its own Energy Ring. Incidentally, nearly all fragments from Energy Ring 7 are involved in some way with the major political positions of the world of the current time. The Discipline Position is defined as the influence that heightens the awareness of the decision making process. People who are in the Discipline Position in your life do not “ride you”, so to speak, nor to they discipline you in the traditional sense of the word, forcing the fulfillment of plans. They simply help create or generate scenarios that bring awareness to the impact of decisions and choices. DISCIPLINE helps see the end results of decision making, often highlighting the far-reaching impact. Through any means available, the Discipline Position will focus on helping move others through procrastinations and distractions toward a more purposeful goal. DISCIPLINE always shows you the road of original intent and keeps you "awake". While this Cadre 9 is the Discipline Position within its own personal Energy Ring, it has also taken upon itself that same position symbolically for the world. Nearly all Cadre #9’s will feel a deep motivation to play their parts in their own Energy Rings as a Discipline theme and this motivation will be amplified by this event. Many fragments who are organizing actions for fund-raising, protests, and even further attacks in the shadow of this tragedy are from Cadre 9 of other Energy Rings. The Configurations[‡] on each jet liner were Septets[§], consisting of Cadence Mates[**] of various forms. For example, two groups of 5 have been brought to light and these are all Warrior Fragments within the same Cadences within their own Entities. These two groups of 5 are missing the other members of their Configuration/Cadence (2 fragments missing from each group). Another two groups of 4 were of varying Roles from within a single Cadre and from different Entities. The latter Cadence/Configuration consists of one Cadence/Configuration being the 33rd Fragment from each Entity within that Cadre; the other Cadence/Configuration consists of the 107th fragments of each Entity from within that Cadre. Each of these groups of 4 is missing 3 members each from the Cadence/Configuration. The missing fragments from each Septet appear to be discarnate. It is important to note that it just happens to be that the Septet Configurations are made up of actual Cadences. This is not always the case. A Septet can be made up of any fragments from anywhere, while a Cadence doesn’t necessarily create a Configuration. There were many other Septet Configurations involved that day, but they were diverted without much mention in the media. We are aware of at least 10 other hijackings that were diverted that morning, all unwittingly and/or specifically removed from the count for fear of a larger panic. We also believe the actual count of those who perished in the World Trade Center will be higher than the factual count. (Note: the number originally assumed dead turned out to be much lower in the end) The fragments on each jet liner who perished did so for their own “reasons”, of course. It may be obvious to many of our Students that this event in nearly all its manifestations was not a Karmic Balance, but rather a Karmic Creation. Those who perished in the Pentagon were most involved with the burning of Karmic Ribbons, but nearly all others involved were not. The Karmic Ribbons of those in the Pentagon and Philadelphia crashes were shared in various fashions between the hijackers, the passengers, the families connected, and occupants of the one building. We encourage you to “feel” the difference between the World Trade Center energy and the energy of the other two attacks. You may sense the difference then between Karmic Balance and Karmic Creation. The complexities of all the Ribbons created and/or burned is a topic unto itself and we would offer discussion of this angle if our students wish. The fragment who is the media’s focal point of responsibility behind this entire event is Osama bin Laden, a 5th Level Young King with Priest Casting, an Idealist in Observation Mode sliding to Perseverance, Moving Centered, Intellectual Part, with Chief Features of Stubbornness and Arrogance, with a discarnate Priest Essence Twin, and 3 Task Companions consisting of all Servers, Server Cast. He is from Energy Ring 5, Cadre 9, and Entity 6. This fragment, ironically, is acting primarily from his True Personality[††], completely true to his Soul Age and Level. Whether this is compatible with the rest of the world is not the consideration of a Young Soul. There are many atrocious fragments in history who were living from the Positive Poles of their Overleaves. The 5th Level of any Soul Age is entirely about creating Karma and pushing the boundaries of limitations that have been instilled from previous generations. The 5th Level in the Young Soul Cycle is going to push these boundaries and limitations within the playground of competition and physical effect. Though this fragment is enthralled in creating Karma, this event was inspired by a Karmic Ribbon shared between himself and the current President of the United States. We will address this in a moment. This King fragment truly believes his mission is guided by and supported by his god, and we would say it would be hard for him to think differently, considering the near-consistent successes and uncannily smooth implementation of his plans being fulfilled across time. He feels his god is on his side. Though his actions are corrupt in relation to the more loving paths that could be chosen, so are the many things that have led this fragment into the position in which he believes himself to be. Part of his motivation stems directly from actions and choices made by the collective choices of the U.S. as they affect his beliefs and country. This is not our stance of justification, merely a reminder that this situation has a larger dynamic than what is seen on the superficial level. This leads us to the crux of this Karmic situation: the culmination of a high-profile Karmic balance between the Late Baby Scholar fragment who is George Bush, Jr. and Late Young King Fragment known as Osama bin Laden. The Karma between them is a Major Ribbon seeking to be burned, though many more Karma will likely be created in the process, which is not unusual for the early Soul Ages. A side note: It may appear that the fragment who is now George Bush, Jr. would be a Warrior, or at least a Young or Mature Soul, but these deductions are based on outward characteristics that can be attributed to generic interpretations of our terminology. This Scholar does have strong Warrior imprinting and is Warrior-Cast, however. It may appear this Scholar is strategic, but the strategies are those of his strong Support Circle. This is not to say that the Scholar does not agree with or contribute to these strategies, but for the most part this fragment would be lost without that support and direction. It may also appear that this fragment is bent on eager Young Soul values or identifying Mature Soul equality and fairness, but these qualities are only a relaying of that which is being expressed through him of others’ ideals. Stripped of this strong circle of support, this fragment is terrified and confused as to what is going on beyond his personal world. The Karma between the King and the Scholar originated in Egypt, nearly 4000 years ago at the beginning of the 6th Dynasty. The King fragment, known then as Wenis, was murdered by those directly assigned by the Scholar fragment who was then known as Teti. Investigating this history (which appears to be accurately recorded) should shed light on this now-escalated Karmic event. The destruction of the icon of the World Trade Centers parallels a past bold erection of the Pyramid of Teti, which also collapsed in a pile of rubble, killing many. The memory and records of Wenis and all of his fine contributions to the kingdom led him to be equated with the god, Osiris. Those who “follow” Osama now are those who revered him as Wenis/Osiris then. Teti is obscured by history and found to be a minor, if not negligible, leader in history. That same Scholar intends to be “remembered this time”, despite the repeated fall of his “pyramids”. We remind you that this channel is not one of our stronger historians, but we do believe enough information has been conveyed that extrapolations can be made on your own. The symbolic archetype from this event is, of course, the dance of the ancient concepts of “Good Vs Evil”. This is where the Baby Scholar’s own contributions come in, creating a scenario of War against an Evil Enemy with a Twisted God. Ironically, with further education about the “Evil” being fought, most fragments extant and part of the Mature Soul consciousness shift will begin to empathize with the motivations behind the troubled, religious zeal of the turbulent lands where the “Evil” comes from. Another level of the symbolism of this event is in seeing this as playing out the continued global shift to Mature Soul Consciousness. Though Young and Baby Souls are the catalyst, their motivations nicely dove-tail with the larger picture of Soul Age transition on the planet. Nearly all fragments who perished in the Pentagon and in Philadelphia are in part of their normal process of review and after-death experiences. The members of the Cadre of fragments involved in the World Trade Center collapse are variously, in hundreds of Configurations, completing Tasks that are part of a larger picture. Each fragment will examine his or her Personality and most recent life as each fragment senses a completion of his or her Task after death. Most of the Configurations within the Cadre who “died” include fragments from other Cadres who are still extant, and the discarnate fragments are acting as Inspiration, Expression, Action or Assimilation influences within these groupings. The probabilities as they extend from this point are still volatile and precarious. War of some sort is nearly imminent, standing high in probability at 86%. How and where this will manifest is not clear. The probability of more terrorist attacks is quite high, as well, standing at 74%. We have said before, but will say again, that New York City has always had a high probability of chemical or biological weapons being unleashed on the city. Nearly 5 years ago we mentioned the probabilities would drop after 5 years; 2001 being the final year of that time frame, though now an even higher probability of manifesting is present (even if diverted). A biological attack would be quickly contained and have minor effects, but it is still high on the options for the terrorists local within the U.S. (note: as of August 2004, Michael says that the probability of terrorist attacks on U.S. soil is still high, around 70% probability, while the use of biological attacks in NYC have dropped to a 30% probability). One major terrorist plan of probability stands as the taking hostage of a small town (or various small towns) in the United States. Though the probability is fairly low at 48%, dropping from 67% 3 weeks ago, it is not shifting enough over these days for us to discount it. (note: as of August 2004, Michael states that the probability of small-town hijacking is at 48%) Small bombings and interruptions of communication and transportation will continue to be a primary means of attack, along with assassination attempts. (note: as of August 2004, Michael states that this probability is at 80%) (Probabilities are asked to Michael in terms of “will this happen again within 10 years?”) We do not share these probabilities as a means to express “doomsday mentality”, but rather to respond to the request and questions posed to us about this pivotal situation on your planet. Please remember that the long-term effects from this event and its shadows may have the world in a far more peaceful, tolerant, and humble state of mind and heart eventually. Though this violent type of growth for a population is not necessary, it is the choice of many to experience that drama, adventure, emotional embracing and turmoil, and the excitement of such a precarious shift. Those qualities are the hallmark of early Mature Soul paths, even if within the context of Young/Baby wars. Many Americans were “bored” on all levels, but now nearly all fragments are “awake”. We have not seen such a vast manifestation of Essence and True Soul Ages in the United States before. This will not last, of course, but the potential for general peace and transformation is high, currently. A final mention of probability will be that the Scholar will most likely be directly involved (even if discarnate) in the rebuilding of “his pyramid” in place of the World Trade Center. The buildings may literally take pyramidal shape or a similar architecture to the Eiffel Tower, in a set of two or four buildings. Q&A 1) Could Michael comment on the reactions people have had, of pulling together, and of suddenly feeling like we are one family? I know they said a bit, but if there is any elaboration on this that can be made, any comment on this sudden state of being "Awake", I think it would be interesting. MICHAEL: The primary reaction/response that most fragments have found as a result of the terrorists' attack was a temporary shift into one or more of the Higher Centers. We have said many times that stress, anguish, and trauma tend to be some of the few ways any fragment finds their way to the Higher Centers, except in the case of the Higher Moving Center, which is specifically designed to be accessible without much effort. For nearly 7 days following the events of September 11, most fragments were dealing with the effects of general, Higher Centered processing, mostly dealing with Truth (higher intellectual) and Love (higher emotional), and finding applicable ways to blend these realizations with Beauty/Energy (higher moving). It is not uncommon to have periods of time wherein the focus of a population may be from one of the Higher Centers, but it is rare that nearly an entire planet moves into one Higher Center, let alone all three. Tears are the biological reactions to Truth, and a great deal of Truth was revealed to many fragments in the wake of this disaster. Some realizations include: The "fragility" of life; unnecessary social facades; assumed isolations; the lack of Needs met within the life for self and for others; the importance of reaching out; the loss of Community over time; the forgotten importance of family and loved ones; mortality; Life Tasks and where you are in your life; Internal Monad processing; pointlessly-held anger and resentments toward self and others; who are the major Support Positions (primarily the Intimates, but all came under examination); that everything will change and nothing is permanent; what is important, in general, etc. The tears shed across the world after this disaster are personal and we only suggest the above phrases because they stand out to us, but there are many more Truths that are being examined. Every person had the opportunity to be free from their Chief Feature during those days, experiencing fully what their particular Chief Feature tends to create fear around. We remind you that your Chief Feature (fear aka “your protector”) is defined by a habitual, yet an unnecessary, protection against something NORMAL in life. In the 7 days following September 11, 2001, every individual had the opportunity to experience the very thing they struggle to protect themselves from habitually. For instance, Arrogance fears Vulnerability: those with this Chief Feature allowed themselves to fully experience Vulnerability without fear. Those who have Self-deprecation allowed themselves to experience Inadequacy (which leads to surrender). Experiencing a total sense of unknowing can free the Personality. Usually this kind of surrender is feared, but those 7 days allowed the Personality to accept that position in life, briefly, but without fear. Stubbornness usually fears Change, but as is obvious, the disaster would not allow a fragment with this fear to dismiss the reality that Change is imminent, constant, unpredictable, and sometimes sudden. Self-destruction fears Worthlessness, but there was a great amount of insight gained for several days, allowing those fragments to realize that what is normally seen as "worthless", including themselves, actually has high value in the context of a life that is lived while awake. Greed fears Lack, but those several days allowed one to realize how much one has, even if just for a moment in time. Impatience fears Time (more specifically, losing control of Time), but realized how very precious the Time has been that was actually spent (or how better to spend it). Martyrdom fears Space (more specifically, losing control of that space), but realized how good they have their life (or how good they could have it, with a slight attitude adjustment), even with the fragment's complaints, chaos or redundancy in the current life. On the whole, anything unnecessarily being carried in the Instinctive Center[‡‡] was released by most fragments. For those 7 days the Higher Intellectual Center of most fragments was highly-stimulated and examined, followed immediately by a stream of stimulation to the Higher Emotional, leading many to examine exactly what it is in the life that brings Pleasure and True Love, and how these can be appreciated, expressed, and given more appropriately. These realizations are now settling in with the Higher Moving Centered experiences of Oneness and camaraderie. Most of the world is experiencing itself for the first time as "One", even if pitted against a vaguely perceived enemy and even if not “on the same side”. Countries have felt this synchronization occasionally, but not the entire world. It is not random that people tend to describe some of the events since the attack as "moving", since this is the center related to feeling one with another. We remind you that although the entire world shifted into a Higher Centered perception, how that is experienced and expressed can differ greatly among continents, cultures and even neighborhoods. "Real life" is moving back into routine for most fragments now, and what was learned from the Higher Centers will either be dismissed or applied profoundly. Nevertheless, it will be long time before the experience is forgotten, if at all. When that many people are synchronized, nothing is ever the same after that. 2) What, if anything, can those of us who do feel our compassion and wider awareness awakened here do to bring some good to the situation? MICHAEL: As events unfold, the impact from these recent events will be proportional to how much resistance there is to the concepts of the Mature Soul. The Positive manifestation of Mature Soul energy might not be obvious as it shows up through what is normally interpreted as "corny" or "syrupy" or "sentimental" and even "weak" or "passive" but still sharing connection, empathy, and progress. The Negative manifestations of the Mature Soul concepts might show up in emotional devastations, submersion into “reality” broadcasts, massive events of deaths and disasters, and global or local tragedies that make the headlines more often. Older Souls may find themselves responding from distrust and typical cynicism, returning to the "old codger" way of living within a hermitted life, or they may choose to adapt a personal "lightness in their step" as they flow with their more spiritual and trusting nature. Mature Souls will respond dramatically no matter what happens, but this will either manifest insularly and protectively or through the need to reach out. Younger Souls (we include troubled Late-level Baby Souls) will be the most resistant and troublesome over the next 5 years or so, as everything that has been held dear in the established routine of standards changes drastically. Balanced Baby Souls will be turning to the Mature and Old Souls for direction and guidance, tuning their lives to the Mature Soul as their new Authority. We will comment for the Mature and Old Souls as to what might be able to be done to "bring some good to the situation": If you are a Mature Soul (or an Early Old Soul, Level One or Two), it would not be surprising to find yourself suddenly surrounded by Baby Souls seeking your life as a haven. Do not hesitate to share your spirituality, your concepts of life and how you live it, if you choose to take on that responsibility. Find your own spiritual haven and implement this as a regular part of your life. We suggest the Unitarian Church, study groups incorporating your search and philosophies, hobby groups, anything that includes you in a regular group activity of healing or spirituality. Reach out to family, friends, and strangers, spending more quality time exchanging and sharing and supporting. If you are an Older Soul (Level 3 or older) it is time to implement all of your knowledge to-date, and we do not limit this to the current life. You are the sum total of all lives lived to this point, and we suggest assuming your ancientness as something worth trusting. The world is still not ready to embrace the values of the Old Soul, but there is an opportunity here to help your fellow Humans through troubling experiences you know as all too familiar from other lifetimes. The Older Soul knows there is a choice in every instance as to how the life can be seen, created, and experienced. We suggest that the Older Souls practice releasing attitudes of fear and distrust. We suggest acknowledging the overall picture, practice feeling the greater motion of the Tao, recognizing the events unfolding as a collective choice and part of a larger pattern of certain progress. For now, this can best be done by creating "vividry" in your daily routine. This simply means to slow down your consciousness for a few moments, widen your eyes, release any tension in your face, shoulders, neck, hands, tongue, legs, and experience FULLY the environment you are in at that moment. It will not matter where or when you are, the effects will be profound after some time. Look closely at every texture, color, face, while feeling/sensing your own skin and looking at your body as this amazing extension of the "you" who is observing. Recognize that all people around you are their own ideas, manifested. Marvel at the creativity of these souls and personalities, trusting in their process as part of the Tao. Creating vividry in the moment can help you align with your own Essence and the potential Higher Center Energy that is available to you. The greatest contribution Older Souls have for the planet at this time is to "hold consciousness" (or vividry) right where you are, with as much generated compassion, trust, and acceptance as possible. This has the potential to incorporate a potential matrix of "safety" for all fragments who prefer to choose other than the more violent, tragic paths. We do not suggest this activity as a means to “protect from” or “fight against” the times, or as a means to save yourself and others from some vague threat, but more as an opportunity of choice to simply "float to the top" of the turbulence, releasing your energetic investments in any chaos. If you have not successfully navigated the 4th Internal Monad, or if you are under the age of 40, it may be more appropriate to take the Mature Soul stance we suggested above. You will know what is more appropriate, even if you feel a need to combine the ideas. Whatever your choice, all includes recognition of Others as Self. To summarize: Older Souls lighten up; and Mature Souls, reach out. The path to agape has just potentially "shortened" for your species. We cannot save you from yourselves, but we can assure you that there is nothing to lose when your choices include truth, love, and oneness as often as possible. We have no investment in how you choose, because we will see you through to the end of any path. END In reference to Michael commenting on the karma between Bush and bin Laden: COMMENT/QUESTION: Oooohh, I resent being caught up in personal karma between these two! Or at least, I would resent it, if I weren't so full of LOVE and COMPASSION and UNIVERSAL FELLOW FEELING. Hmmph. But why couldn't they have agreed to work it out on more intimate terms? Why do the rest of us have to get dragged into it? MICHAEL: We do not believe the current scenario is one that was planned or agreed upon before the life began. During times of great shifting in Soul Ages, there are multitudes of potential scenarios to help perform the catalyst for permanent implementation of the newer perceptions. A Soul Age shift on a planet requires a catalyst, whether positively or negatively implemented and any Soul Age group may contribute to that. The fragments who have shown interest in being that catalyst have nearly all been late Baby or Young Souls. Examining the events of major media shocks of an emotional nature across the past 7 years or so will reveal that truth. The greatest catalyst before the attack on the World Trade Center was the "Columbine Shootings". To be the catalyst for change while completing personal agenda is not only highly appealing to fragments, but creates enormous leaps of possibility for the fragments involved. Most who are directly involved on such a scale of shift literally condense their progress through the Soul Ages by several lives. Both of the fragments in question [Bush/bin Laden] are past the mid-points of their Soul Age, both near the end of their current levels. We believe their 7th Levels will be reached within a few lives or so. Although it would appear to be unfortunate, many find the greatest opportunities for progress and growth in the excitement of danger, war, death, trauma, and general anxiety. We believe this to simply be the nature of the soul as it progresses through the discovery of more comfortable forms of growth. In a world where it is acceptable to the Personality to harm many forms of life as a means of convenience, to exploit as a means to gain knowledge and ensure comforts, it may not be surprising that Essence then has no reference for what might be a more compassionate form of growth and progress on a larger scale. In other words, when compassion is so severely limited within a species, Essence has not gained experiences enough to know that pain and struggle and suffering do not have to be “normal”. We remind you that your lifetimes contribute to your Essence's growth and it processes ONLY what it learns from/through the Personality. Compassion for self begins first, extending then to your family, community, other species, other kingdoms, and eventually to your entire species. The average level of compassion on your planet is currently limited to a community level. Essence is only intelligent from a "higher perspective" because of what it can glean from all the lives lived to that point. It is not “all-knowing” or even “all-loving” to a point that negates the need for growth; if that were the case, incarnating would be pointless. Essence is LEARNING. From YOU. If its basic input to-date has been from the experiences of self-preservation, then the contexts in which the newer Personality finds itself will be using that as a base. It is up to the new personality (your current self) to grow beyond what Essence has learned so far. Many Older Souls are drawing from that primary base of self-preservation because the scale of this event is larger than what is in their own instinctive history across time. Self-preservation has sufficed to this point in your planet's growth, but with this catalyst, combined with the immediate access to the world-at-large, more than self-preservation of the immediate life and environment are being drawn in. In other words, regardless of the age of your Soul, a level of realization for the need for compassion beyond your own community, responsibility in choices, and emotional accessibility is new to everyone. TO EVERYONE. Each Cadre, Entity, and Fragment will learn their own versions of what growth means, and this is why there is no standard or external force waiting to "grade", approve, or "pass" you. When you are done learning what you want, you are done, ON YOUR TERMS ALONE. There are no exceptions. In light of that, we would suggest that as the planet progresses in average Soul Age and population, the more "advanced" the lessons you will begin to seek. All of you present currently “wanted” to be present for this shift, regardless of how it feels now. You would not be involved on any scale if there was not agreement between Essence and Personality on some level to endure this event. The versions of you in this parallel[§§] were highly interested in "something" acting as a strong enough catalyst to being people into the awareness of the planet as a Whole, and to provide a more sudden excuse/justification for coming together. The attempts were originally, passively made in what you call "reality television", the numerous school shootings, Princess Diana's death, and several other events and films, but those were too gradual for most tastes. This recent event did what no other event has. It re-humanized the world. Previous to this, there was only the Young Soul context for interaction in that each feared that another was only out to "use you", "get something", or simply to impose on you. We have seen a 70% drop in this mentality across the planet within these past two weeks. These kinds of barriers do not drop momentarily, they are nearly always permanent. I got the impression that a situation was going to occur in some way, some how, and this Cadre ELECTED to be part of that, not really “knowing” how it would eventually unfold. This was a collective event, albeit using as a catalyst the Karma between George and Osama. And as far as a cure for Cancer; I think that is the same thing as asking what the cure for Fear is. When we can erase fear, then illness will probably have no home. I'd like to look further into the person who is Osama and his history, what is motivating him from other angles than Karma with George. Anyway, I am doing my best, and will continue to try! ENERGY REPORT OCTOBER 2011 2011 Overleaves are: ROLE: PRIEST (emphasized all year) CENTER: MOVING (emphasized all year) GOAL: FLOW (emphasized Jan - Mar) MODE: CAUTION (emphasized Apr - Jun) ATTITUDE: PRAGMATIST sliding to Cynic and Skeptic (emphasized Jul - Sep) CHIEF FEATURES: Impatience/Martyrdom (emphasized Oct - Dec) OCTOBER marks the shift of emphasis for the year toward that of the Chief Negative Features, which are those behaviors that are prompted as a form of defense against certain fears. When anyone moves into serious self-assessment of the past, it can either bring out one’s fears, or bring out one’s gratitude. Self-assessment happens throughout the year for everyone, but in terms of our “Energy Reports,” we speak to the general wave of collective processes, and October through December tends to be a time period where more than half of the planet goes through a self-assessment. This is largely due to the fact that it is the end of the calendar year for most of the planet, and any significant shift in measuring large arcs of time can prompt mass self-assessment. When mass self-assessment happens, then mass fears and their subsequent defenses can be prompted. The Chief Features we interpret for the year are those that reflect how collective fear may be played out in the world, not necessarily in one’s personal life, though it is difficult to evade the collective fears if one is even remotely participating in the world. Everyone will have his or her individual Chief Feature methods for responding to fear, but the Chief Features described for the year is how all of that collective energy may flow into the world and show up. This year, those whose self-assessment brings up fear may contribute to the fears that revolve around CONTROL. Impatience and Martyrdom are the defenses against fears related to Controlling TIME or Controlling SPACE, respectively. Keep in mind that our Chief Features do not describe the actual fears, but what one tends to do IN REACTION or DEFENSE against fears. Impatience is a reaction to, or a defense against, the fear that time is running out, is slipping by, is overwhelming, and cannot be controlled. Martyrdom is a reaction to, or a defense against, the fear that one’s life, environment, personal space or world is out of control, is hurting rather than helping, and does not comply to one’s wishes, demands, and expectations. Time and Space can never truly be controlled beyond a certain extent, and for the most part, one only has control over how one experiences, interprets, and uses these resources. The defenses and reactions that come up when one cannot control these things is useless against the experience of the passing of time, or the direction of everything in one’s environment or world. One can fear getting old all one wants to fear it, but one will grow older. One can prepare for the worst all one wants, or wish for the best, but one cannot control the entirety of economy, geological disasters, or the choices of others, etc. One can completely control his or her experiences, interpretations, and use of these qualities of life, however. This year appears to be bringing up a great deal of exploration around the issue of Control, and this is being played out in the world in ways that we have not been seen since the 1960’s. At this point, the fear of losing control in the world looks a bit like great fists desperately squeezing sand to hold on to it. For most of our students, we see that they are observing this more than experiencing it, but it may show up in the personal realm, as well, depending upon how much one is participating in the world at large. Even merely observing it is participation. We encourage our students to be a part of the world, if they choose. It is not an aim of our teaching to encourage one to rise above it or escape it, but to learn how to choose, and to choose how to learn within the experiences of it. There are two polarities happening the world at this point that are dealing with this issue of Control. On the positive side, we have a mass of fragments who recognize that a momentum is in place that is headed toward catastrophe on many levels. Their response is more along the lines of “steering” as a means of returning to control, but in order to get this steering under control, “the brakes” have to be put on. Hard. This has shown up in many ways this year where those who were at the mercy of a momentum that was not of their obvious choice have finally put on the brakes and are redirecting the momentum as best they can. This will most likely be seen even more so in the months ahead, where those who would most suffer from a harmful momentum are taking responsibility and doing what they can to help halt and redirect. It is the beginning of a revolution, and not in just the obvious ways, but in psychic ways, as well, and across several countries. On the negative side, a minority of fragments are digging in their heels from a paradigm that refuses to accommodate change, evolution, prosperity, sharing, empathy, etc. In short, they refuse to accommodate the shift from Young Soul paradigm of “there is you and me, and I’m going to win” to that of the Mature Soul paradigm of “there is you and me, and I know how you feel.” Furthermore, they refuse to accommodate the inevitable shift from the Debt-based Society of the past 100 year Platform to a Choice/Resource-based Society of the 21st Century Platform. Those fragments refusing to participate and adapt to this inevitable change among the masses of consciousness on the planet will most likely continue to do all they can to ensure their paradigm is not disturbed. Ironically, their paradigm would not be disturbed if they would not presume it should also be the paradigm of the masses. There is a way for them to carry on without too much inconvenience, but this is not particularly attractive to these Younger souls at this time. The scenario at this time is similar to that of a group of teenagers who have won the lottery because of tickets bought by the adults around them, with the teenagers not only refusing to share, but refusing to acknowledge that their winnings are precisely because of those who did not win. It is their right not to share, of course, but it is also their demise, as there is little value to anything that one does not share or exchange, from the wallet to the smile. Money (resources) has little value in the Mature Paradigm, unless it is shared, so a new system would either come into place to completely remove the value of money as it is currently understood, or a new way of distributing the resources and money of the world would come into play. Every fragment is free to live in his own world, so to speak, but there is never a time on the planet, regardless of predominant Soul Age, when one is not simultaneously, inherently in a shared reality with everyone else on the planet, and one’s choices and actions have impact on those with whom that reality is shared. This default of a shared reality is part of how a species grows in consciousness, because everyone’s choices and actions must be dealt with to some extent, and eventually these begin to be experienced in a way that is either pleasant or harmful. As one is on the receiving or contributing end of those experiences, more consciousness is brought to the process of choice, giving rise to greater pleasures and less harm. This aim toward pleasure is not required, of course, but it simply seems to be preferred, which would make sense because it feels good. We know of no Essence who truly prefers true harm over true pleasure, even if some Personalities choose to bring great harm in a lifetime. In the long run, Pleasure tends to be the higher aim, and is always the preference of Essence. Your world, at this point, is embracing the Mature Soul paradigm at an exponential rate, and every facet of the previous Young Soul paradigm that contributes harm is going to be addressed. Paradigm shifts are often brought about by masses, but in the Mature shift, the masses would most likely be geared toward the most peaceful, educational , and empathic of efforts possible for that change to take effect. Bumping up against the force of the Young Paradigm may, however, require some “fighting back,” and this may not be pleasant in some cases. So what you have in the world as Impatience and Martyrdom is being played out in a group that is struggling to retain control through the negative poles of Intolerance and Victimization, and another group that is struggling to regain control through positive poles of Audacity and Selflessness. There may be some cross over between the groups, but the division should be fairly clear. Most of our Older Soul students are as excited about this as they are terrified, and this is “just the beginning.” This polarized battle for control is more than likely going to end in control being lost by many before regaining footing again among the masses. For the next few months, this struggle may play out in the world much like a tug of war between a mass of ants and a Red Wood Tree, but it will only be in the breaking or dropping of the rope that either side “wins” and can move on to a preferable momentum. On a personal level, this playing out of Chief Features in the world may bring some anxiety and stress to our students. This would be natural, but not necessary. Your world is going to change. It is inevitable. And we can assure you that our students have the masses “on their side” in terms of moving everyone toward a paradigm that is more comforting to Older Souls than one has been in a long time. This is not a prediction, but a fairly stable probability that is consistent with many shifts we have seen. Every revolution is ugly for the chaos it brings at first, but then leads into patterns that can once again be considered beautiful. Translating all of this into personal terms, the next few months may find you feeling affected by unfolding of events in your inner or outer world that may look and feel rather chaotic, depressing, or even traumatic, but remembering that this is simply a process of rearranging a harmful momentum to be aimed toward a more pleasurable direction. To ignore, hide, or dismiss it is a choice to contribute to the chaos, but to observe, hold a vision, and live by example, would do far more for reducing the impact of such a revolution. Helpful thoughts over OCTOBER might be: 1) THERE ARE VERY FEW BAD PEOPLE, But MANY Better Choices The concept of “bad” is usually relative to your own ideas about what are important and meaningful choices, which may easily put you in the same position as “bad” to those on the other side of an issue. We dare say that nearly every one of our students have been on the receiving end of this label, or similar, when his or her own well-intentioned, personal choices were deemed as “bad,” or as harming another who stood against those choices, when in fact, nothing harmful was being done. Keep this in mind when making the choice to defend or condemn, as it may simply be a matter of differences in priorities, values, and meanings, and not a matter of good vs bad. To seek only to change the choices of another to accommodate your own, even if your choices are “clearly” better, is to do the same thing against which you are probably standing. To help keep your personal world from falling into an outdated paradigm that pits one side against another, it is always helpful to remember that every individual does the best he or she can with what he or she thinks are important or meaningful choices. Making your choices from there can help you to direct yourself toward what you choose, rather than spending all of your time trying to convince or halt another individual’s or group’s choices. Even in situations of oppression or true harm, it is more than likely your own capacity for making better choices that will save the day, rather than the focus on the condemnation of the oppressor. 2) BEING HURT IS NOT THE SAME THING AS BEING HARMED It times when the fears related to Control are emphasized, it is important to differentiate between the concepts of Hurt and Harm. Hurt is a reaction, and as such is an extension of choice. Harm is an intention. If you are slapped in the face, it may Hurt no matter who does it, or how it is done, but whether Harm was intended is a very important factor to consider. A person who is slapped in the face by someone who intends to Harm can experience far more damage than one who has been accidentally hit by a car, unintentionally. Harm must be intended for it to be True Harm. All True Harm Hurts, but not all Hurts are the result of True Harm. You have control over your Hurting, even when someone intended to Harm you. Your Hurt is your own, and can be processed as you choose, even if it includes Physical Hurting. A person who owns his or her Hurt tends to experience far less pain than someone who feels that his or her Hurt is someone else’s responsibility to heal. Even Physical recoveries are helped by this differentiation. Differentiating between Hurt and Harm, then, is vital for one’s health, recovery, or even revolution. If someone disappoints you, it can hurt, but if there was no intention to hurt you, and it is only a matter of someone making a choice that you wish he or she did not make, it is not Harm, no matter how hurt you feel. It is up to you what you do with this kind of differentiation, but it can be far less painful than waiting for, or pushing for, someone else to fix your Hurt. Hurt can be experienced in such moments as disappointment, as well as moments of True Harm, so it is easy to default to the presumption that your Hurt was intended, but more often than not, it was never intended. In an evolving consciousness and in an evolving world/paradigm, the responsibility of one’s own Hurting begins to be a priority for healing,and transformation to happen, rather than through resorting to blame. It is okay to hold someone accountable for the choices that he or she makes that may have been hurtful to you, or for you to make choices that will remove you from the hurt caused by the choices of another person, but your hurt is not something to which you must remain attached, even if Harm was intended. Knowing that Harm was or was not intended can help you to make better choices in response to the experience, rather than remaining in a state of reaction. Feeling Hurt is one way for you to become aware of what or who is not working in your life, and that is all it has to be. If you stub your toe, it would make no sense to blame the table leg. It simply means for you to be aware of that table leg and to be more careful, if you choose. If you were to wait for the table leg to apologize or do the work of healing your toe, it would be absurd. It is no different in cases where another person meant no Harm, even if you are Hurt. Your choices can be made from this awareness, and your hurt can dissolve, rather than turning into further ailments and patterns. NOTE: The current psychic revolution, or paradigm shift, on your planet is now in the process of grasping this differentiation, and making collective choices from there in as effective a way as possible. It is rather impressive. DATES OF INTEREST OCTOBER 3rd through OCTOBER 5th - a divergence (branching into parallels) Nexus with an emphasis on mass responsibility versus mass blame. Some will branch off into parallels where wars would most likely be of interest, while some will branch off into parallels where communication, education, responsibility from within is the emphasis, giving rise to revolutions and movements, instead of wars. This parallel shift is a divergence between those who are interested in a "Think for yourself" world, as opposed to those who wish to have others do the thinking for them. OCTOBER 20th through 29th- a major, lengthy divergence that extends from the previous, which may be marked by some rather spectacular world event, if this Nexus occurs. This Divergence would emphasize another round of examples for why everyone needs to work together, and not fall into the illusions of duality or delusional, divisive tactics. The "Think for yourself" may show up in problem solving patterns that are the result of matrices of contributing thought, rather than from an authority. The obvious effects from this Nexus may not manifest until the following year, as this appears to be relative to a long-term exploration.

ONE - MOVE A LITTLE MORE - Just when you think you have reached a point where you are certain, sure, and conclusively confident in your position, consider moving just a little more. Treat this as a curiosity, not as a concession. Treat this as an opportunity for true confidence, not defensive confidence. TWO - SAY NO TO NO - More often than not, if Stubbornness is in effect, there is some form of protection against change or the unknown being upheld by emphasizing the "NO" in your life. Allow yourself the comfort of NO, but by using it to help dismantle its stronghold against your even considering a YES. One way to do this is by using the phrase NOT YET, as in, you are still ready with your NO, but NOT YET. When you immediately wish to say No, say No, Not Yet. And give some breathing room for the chance to say Yes. THREE - TELL THE TRUTH - Stubbornness often prompts you to tell lies to yourself and to others about why you resist or reject change or moving into uncertainty or the unknown. These can show up as excuses, evasive language, sometimes to the point of having become an art. To help dismantle the fear of change, you have to tell the truth, speak up about what you want, what you need, and what you do not want or do not need. Stubbornness is often prompted because you have not owned the responsibility of your own authority over your life, so you learn to make excuses. Sometimes, all one must do is speak up and be present as a way of navigating uncertainty, rather than hiding and evading. FOUR - TRUST YOURSELF - Stubbornness can close one down to any new input and block any consideration of new experience or new information because if that new information or experience encourages you to change or expand, then you lose your sense of self that you have grown to protect so carefully. But who you grow to be is built from you, and is not a replacement of you. Trust not only who you feel you are now, but who you are in the next moment. You do not lose yourself when you change, and you do not lose yourself in change. You will always be you. FIVE - SHARE AUTHORITY - Stubborn often prompts one to interpret any source of authority or input or nudge to your life as an invasive maneuver out to challenge your comfort levels and peace of mind or even as a challenge to your own authority over your life. Sometimes that may be the case, but most often it is not. So when you feel yourself being triggered by what you see as someone trying to be smarter, trying to tell you what to do, trying to say you are wrong, trying to push you, remember that you do not have to constantly fight this source of authority, you can remember to share in that authority. In other words, no matter how much smarter, right, advanced, experienced, etc. another person may be, you are on equal ground in terms of the authority over your life. These individuals are authorities in their own life and they may be better at some things than you are, and you may be better in other things. Listen, learn, and share. Sometimes this is a one-way experience and then you must embrace this as a gift, not an imposition. SIX - DIE EVERY DAY - Practice experiencing each day as new, rather than as a continuation of the day before. Do not just dive into the new day, but Die into the new day. No matter how similar the days may be, wake up to one new thing, even if it is a small thing. Wake up to a moment of perfect temperature and nostalgic breeze. Wake up to a nice memory in the middle of the day. Wake up to a kind gesture, or a funny moment. You live many many lifetimes and from the point of view of Stubbornness, it would convince you that they are all alike, nothing really changes, and put you to sleep against your evolution. But every lifetime is new. Every lifetime is different. And every day is new. SEVEN - BE WRONG - One of the most entrenching states that Stubbornness can get into is the enduring insistence that one must be right, must not fail, must not be challenged, and this means one MUST NOT MOVE. This circles back to the first point to move a little more, but sometimes that move has to be in the willingness to be wrong, to embrace mistakes, to embrace a challenge. MEntity: ONE ) BABY STEPS - for those in Stubbornness there is a fear of change, either coming from themselves, or reflected around them in others. Change will happen no matter what, but if you wish to bring about change and fear it, you can begin with "baby steps." You do not have to overhaul or make a sharp turn. If you are in control of the change or you are inviting that change in others who resist it, go as slowly as necessary. TWO ) HAVE A PLAN - Stubbornness is terrified of change, and while a plan can always be derailed, it can be helpful to have created some form of structure that allows for you to navigate with sign posts and indicators that act as safety points to catch your breath. THREE ) CHANGE IS POWER - it may not always seem to be a "good thing" when change comes, but if you resist change you can begin to recoil from life and go into defensive stances. What is helpful is to ride change as if it were a wave, to harness it as if it is in your favor, even if you do not know for certain. Find one "good" thing in the mix of energies moving about and focus on that. For example, if you are losing or have lost your job, harness this energy and find or create another. We are not implying this is easy, but it is your best option for navigating. FOUR ) LOOK BACKWARD AS A WAY TO LOOK FORWARD - If you look to your past you will find a multitude of examples where change has come and gone and you survived. You may not always have certainty or comfort, but you always have YOU. And giving credit to your past for surviving or thriving change can help to empower you for the next wave of change. FIVE ) TELL PEOPLE YOU ARE SCARED - Let others know you are scared. When change comes that is terrifying or unexpected or chaotic, you are not expected to endure this alone. It is okay to be scared. It is okay to express this and share it. You may not find the perfect help for your situation, but you have let your panic move up and out of you so that you are no longer carrying so much of it. And this helps. SIX ) SHARE YOUR DREAMS AND DESIRES - You can get ahead of change by looking forward and allowing room for your "hopes," your dreams, and desires to be infused in the waves of change that will continue to come. Share these with others. You may not be able to anchor yourself and halt change, but you can plant the seeds of dreams so that change can bring with it the tools, probabilities, and opportunities that help change to be experienced as a "good thing." SEVEN ) YOU WILL DIE - the deeper core of the fear of change is the fear of death, the greatest unknown, the greatest change, so every change feels like a "death." You will die. Over and over. We may begin discussing with you the suggested concept of how you "matter" and how this might matter to you. [MEntity] Before exploring the nuances of "matter" as a matter of study and self-reflection, it is important to note, first, that there is no such thing as someone not mattering. Everyone matters. Everyone. There are no exceptions. [MEntity] As we explore the nuances of this, the validity of this may become clear. [MEntity] This quality of mattering starts to become clearer as one exits the Young Soul Age, and enters the Mature Soul Age. [MEntity] This is because it is when the Essence and the Personalities begin to truly grasp the impact of oneself and others in both figurative and literal senses. [MEntity] There are two ways in which one finds one matters: figuratively, or perceptually; and literally, or directly. [MEntity] As with nearly everything, there are ways to matter in positive ways and in negative ways. [MEntity] Keep in mind that our polarities are not degrees between "good and bad," but degrees between expansion and contraction, openness and closure, inclusivity and exclusivity, etc. [MEntity] In earlier lifetimes with earlier Soul Ages one tends to focus on how one matters from the negative pole. This brings an emphasis on how one matters to those defined as significant, as opposed to the older Soul Ages were it begins to matter to you if you matter to even the broadest range of strangers. [MEntity] As one grows in Soul Age, it will continue to matter if you matter to those you have deemed significant, but this will be included in the broader scheme of things regarding how you matter to the world, how your life matters, etc. [MEntity] In earlier Soul Ages, it will tend not to matter at all how one matters to "the world," as long as one matters to those deemed significant. [MEntity] Another way the Negative Pole can manifest is if one is only concerned with how one matters to "the world" over how one matters to those deemed signficant. [MEntity] Again, the poles are about inclusivity over exclusivity. [MEntity] How one matters to "the world" overshadows how one matters to those deemed significant is a hallmark of the Young Soul. [MEntity] The weight of how one matters begins to grow heavy for the Mature and Old Soul because how one matters to "everything and everyone" comes into consideration, and the balancing that can be required of this can be quite challenging. [MEntity] It is particularly heavy for the Mature Soul, and begins to lighten for the Old Soul over the Levels. [MEntity] This is because during the Mature Soul Levels, this is constantly measured and there is a constant monitoring and balancing in place that can be exhausting, but during the Old Soul Levels, the assumption that (every) one matters begins to integrate as part of one's base line. [MEntity] Depending upon where one is in Manifesting Soul Age, then the consideration of how one matters will take on different degrees of emphasis and weight. [MEntity] For most Old Souls, there is still some weight and emphasis to the concept because it has been a Young Soul world shifting to Mature Soul for a long time. It is difficult to transcend the resonance of considering how one matters. [MEntity] The first part of this workshop's activities is to respond to the following question: CREATE A LIST OF 5 THAT MATTERS TO YOU. This list is not definitive, but a sampling. Let whatever comes to your mind or heart be heard in this moment, and list those 5. It is okay if more come to you after that list. [MEntity] *****LIST OF 5***** [brian] 5 people, topics, events? [MEntity] We leave that to you. [MEntity] As we stated in the beginning of our discussion: there are two primary ways one tends to matter: perceptually/figuratively, and directly/literally. [MEntity] How one matters perceptually/figuratively is how one contemplates how one matters when alone. [MEntity] It could be described as how you see yourself. [MEntity] How you interpret yourself. [MEntity] But not just how you interpret yourself, but how you interpret yourself in the SPACE between EVENTS. [brian] could you give an example of what you mean by the "space between events?" [MEntity] Though only a minor play on words, "Matter" is always, almost completely, made up of SPACE. [MEntity] The depth you determine you matter is often defined in that space/time between experiences, between events, in your "down time," your aloneness, your fragmentation. [MEntity] No Essence or Personality is bombarded with experience 100% of the time; there is always space/time between those experiences, and this where perceptual matter comes in. [MEntity] This is inclusive of your Reviews, both within life and between lives, and your time between relationships, between events, within your boredom, your meditation, your dreams, etc. [MEntity] MOST of your life is aloneness. MOST of your life is the space between. This is because you are never where you are not, but you can often be where others are not, or where nothing is happening. This is not a sad or bad thing. It is a natural function of this universe. [MEntity] How you matter to you, then, is often determined in that space between, reflective of how matter exists in the universe. You are made up of the same materials, functions, and properties that can be found in the physics and quantum physics of matter, and so it is not merely novel to draw parallels to how you define the depth and degree of your own matter. [MEntity] This degree and depth of perceptual matter helps define the degree and depth of Manifestation of True Personality and Essence. [MEntity] It is the medium through which Essence Manifesting, and True Personality emerge. [MEntity] This entire function of perceptual matter is managed in the Personality by the ATTITUDE. [MEntity] How you perceive and interpret the world through your primary philosophy helps to determine the space between events, people, experiences, and how you determine how you matter to you. [MEntity] If your Attitude is in the Negative Pole, how you feel you matter may decline in value. [MEntity] If your Attitude is in the Positive Pole, how you feel you matter may increase in value. [MEntity] We describe this angle on how you matter as being perceptual or figurative, because it is not truly measurable. It is self-determined, and cannot be determined by anyone but you. [MEntity] However, it WILL BE what you present to others. [MEntity] Your Attitude is the first Overleaf offered up when interacting with others. [MEntity] In nearly every social exchange, it is the Attitude that is the primary medium. [MEntity] It is where you display your self-esteem, your trust, your confidence. [MEntity] It is how you display how you matter to you. [MEntity] And this is determined by you in your aloneness. [MEntity] Depending upon where one is in this determination can play out as activating the Chief Negative Features for protection of one's values, or for expressing, representing one's values. [MEntity] This is one of the reasons why Meditation is considered seriously as a matter of healthfulness for being extant, as it brings to the forefront of your consciousness the truth of your aloneness, your existence, and when you can sit with this, you increase your capacity for matter. [MEntity] Keep in mind that "meditation" includes a spectrum of methods that is not limited to simply sitting in a lotus position, but is a practice in allowing singularity, both in focus and in presence. [MEntity] Regardless of your Attitude, its poles, or where it may "slide," a quick check in with your Intellectual Center can help you to determine in the moment where you are in your Attitude and its expression of how you matter. [MEntity] Regardless of your Centering, the Intellectual Center is hooked into the Attitude Overleaf. [MEntity] The Intellectual Center is polarized by INSIGHT vs REASON. [MEntity] So a quick check in with yourself in terms of where you are in how you matter to you is to pay attention to how you interact socially, but also whether you bring Insight to those exchanges, or Reason. [MEntity] REASON is expressed in justifications, explanations, causes, usually removing oneself or another from an equation. [MEntity] INSIGHT is the capacity for accurate, intuitive comprehension of a person or event, inclusive of all parts of the equation. [MEntity] Insight will include Reason, but Reason will function differently than when it is exclusive of Insight. When Reason is a part of Insight, it is logical, critical, rational thinking, whereas when Reason is exclusive of Insight, it tends toward defense, excuses, blame. [MEntity] Reason within Insight is the parts that helped bring the whole of Insight, the bricks that build the platform. Reason without Insight is still bricks, but usually just thrown from where one stands, if you will. [MEntity] Does this make sense? [Janet] The description of insight vs. reason makes sense. [Janet] I don't yet see application to the topic. But I'm sure it's coming. [DianeHB] yes, it makes sense [MEntity] We will try to clarify here, then. [IngunD] yes [MEntity] How one perceives oneself in terms of matter is expressed through the Attitude. The degree to which one is in the positive pole of the Attitude is the degree to which one has determined one matters, and the degree to which one might be in the negative pole is the degree to which one may still feel one does not matter. [MEntity] This plays out in social scenarios and exchanges. [Janet] I see that. [brian] I understood that part [MEntity] This is because this is where one carries self-esteem, confidence, and trust, and how that is built, which is determined by how one matters to oneself, or perceives she matters. QUESTIONS [MEntity] We will take your question, then, to help us determine if we can clarify further, or if it is a matter of continuing on. [brian] I think I know what the answer will be, but I'll ask the question anyway [brian] how do we figure out how we matter to ourselves? [MEntity] Brian - here are a few considerations for determining your perceptual matter, or how you matter to you: the degree to which one can be alone without being lonely; the degree to which one can express his values without defense; the degree to which one allows trust; the degree to which one is confident. [MEntity] Keep in mind that we say "HOW" one matters, not "whether" one matters. You will always matter, but HOW you matter is what may matter to you. How one matters is described by your determination of how you "matter to the world," and/or "matter to others." [brian] That may explain why I think of "utility" when you say "how one matters" because I am seeing it through the lens of the pragmatist attitude [MEntity] When one of those excludes the other, it can be painful and heavy, or when there is a lack of connection between the two as extremes. [MEntity] Whomever may wish to ask a question at this point can do so, regarding what we have shared, so far. [GeraldineB] Does one's CF trigger the negative pole of Attitude or vice versa? [MEntity] Geraldine, it is the latter. Chief Negative Features are passive. They can only be activated by another Overleaf. [MEntity] We will continue. [MEntity] The other way one matters is in terms of Direct or Literal ways. [MEntity] This is managed in the Personality by the GOAL. [MEntity] This tends to play out in how you impact "the world" or "others." [MEntity] The emphasis here is on "impact." [MEntity] That is because the Moving Center is hooked into every Goal, regardless of your Centering. [MEntity] You can determine how you feel you matter in terms of impact by checking in with the Positive and Negative Poles of the Moving Center. [MEntity] This is a spectrum between PRODUCTIVE and FRUSTRATED. [MEntity] Your Goal is something that is never completed, with no finish lines, but is a state or quality your Essence/Personality aims to create, sustain, and share as an impact on the world and others. [MEntity] The more one tends toward the Positive Pole of the Goal, toward being Productive, the more one tends to determine that one matters. [MEntity] To the degree that you feel you create, sustain, and share the impact of your Goal, is often the degree to which you feel your presence and participation matter to the world and to others. [MEntity] Though the Goal, in itself, is not always something obvious and tangible, the impact of the effort to create, sustain, and share it is entirely measured in tangibility. [MEntity] Your Productivity or Frustration at any given moment helps to describe where you are in that aim for the Goal. [MEntity] And this, in turn, helps you to determine how you matter. [MEntity] OUR NEXT QUESTION: [MEntity] Do you see a similarity or a discrepancy between how you feel you matter to you, and how you feel you matter in impact? Do you feel they are difficult to differentiate? [GeraldineB] I think that's a nuance that's too fine for me to really grasp [Janet] I really think how I matter to me has an effect on how I matter in impact. [brian] I'm still seeing / experiencing so much through the negative poles that it seems the same to me. I haven't built up a gradient to be able to see the difference yet [Maureen] I feel there is a direct correlation between my impact in the world and how I see I matter. I wish it didn't matter to me -- but it does. [IngunD] How I matter to me influences how I matter in impact [brian] the only distinction I have is when others tell me that I'm making an impact, but it doesn't feel like one to me [GeraldineB] I think I'm usually at a place of just assuming that I have an impact, regardless of whether or not I can see it [DianeHB] I matter to me, though I have more doubts about how I matter in impact. [MEntity] The next part of our discussion on how you matter may bring this together into some realizations for each of you. [MEntity] As with most of our teaching, there is no isolation of parts, but a circuitry and networking that is beautiful and vast. [MEntity] In terms of how one matters, to the self, or in impact, to others, to the world, or both, and whether those are positive or negative, all ties back to your MODE. [MEntity] The MODE is the fuel for both the Goal and the Attitude in the circuitry for how one feels one matters at all. [MEntity] That is because the Mode is where you develop your CORE VALUES. Your Core Values are at the hub of what you use for determining how you matter in all ways. [MEntity] Your list of 5 is relevant here. [MEntity] To the degree that you IMPACT or EXPRESS those values is the degree to which you feel you matter. [MEntity] Core Values develop from how one RELATES, which is described by the Mode. [MEntity] The Emotional Center, or Inspiration, is hooked into the Mode, and thereby one's Core Values, regardless of one's Centering. Therefore, Core Values describe the medium that you use for REFLECTION or PROJECTION. [MEntity] HOW YOU MATTER IN IMPACT, TO YOU, TO OTHERS, TO THE WORLD is dependent upon your pursuit, fulfillment, creation, nurturing, sharing, etc. of those Core Values. These are either Reflected in your impact, in yourself, in others, and in the world, or you Project those Core Values upon those things. [MEntity] Even in your short list of Core Values, you will see the clues that shape your sense of matter. [MEntity] That list shifts, changes, evolves, updates, etc. but there is always a list. [MEntity] OUR NEXT QUESTIONS: Do each of you see how your list fuels your sense of how you matter? Do you see how these play into your Attitude and Goal, as they are expressed or used for motivation for impact? [MEntity] This list is not just about what matters to you, but how you wish to matter in the world, to others, and to yourself. [brian] under that guidance yes (took the thoughts and question right out of my head again) [Maureen] yes -- I do. It's like an entangled loop. [Janet] I see the connections [DianeHB] I can see it [ClaireC] Yes. [Bobby] I'll think on it some more [GeraldineB] I see the correlation [MEntity] ANOTHER QUESTION: Does it matter to you that you can map out the ways in which you determine you matter? [brian] yes [DianeHB] yes [ClaireC] Yes. [Janet] The connections you have pointed out between centers and attitude, goal and mode are enlightening and the interconnection makes mapping out the ways I matter valuable. [Bobby] yes [MEntity] Your Overleaves are far more than quaint Personality characteristics. It is a simple system that holds many truths about you. [IngunD] yes [Janet] I see those awesome connections more and more. [MEntity] The discussion of how one matters in a life is not a trivial discussion for comfort, but is entirely relevant to how one uses the Overleaves, how one brings oneself into the world and experiences oneself within. [MEntity] You matter. How you matter, is up to you. [MEntity] A final layer of consideration here is that your list of Core Values of the Mode, and how those play out through your Goal and Attitude, helps determine who and what matters TO you, as well. [MEntity] Today we explored how you matter, and how you matter determines everything about how everything else matters TO you. [MEntity] To conclude today, we will say again that you matter. There is no way around this. How you matter is up to you. The spectrum of how you matter is defined by the impact and expression of your Core Values to yourself, the world, and others. [MEntity] It may be difficult to quantify how one feels or thinks one matters, so this is another example of how the simple effort and consciousness of working with the positive and negative poles of your Overleaves can affect far more than meets the eye.   6. July 15, 1999 Troy Tolley, Channel Parallels and Processes [Michael_Entity] We are here. We will begin in one moment. What we will do is discuss the Parallel Shift coming up and respond to any questions you may have about it. Then move into another area if time permits. We remind you that the window appears to begin on a larger scale starting the 17th, with the actual shift window for most being on the 19th, and continuing through the 29th. The reason for the extended time window is due to the nature of the Community Shift. Some within your circle may begin or end their own version of the shift at a different point than yourself. A solidifying factor for this shift can be seen astrologically. We do not practice astrology, but a quick glance at some events at the end of the month and the beginning of the next should provide some insights from another angle. The process of passing through the parallel shift is in three stages; a Triad: Negative/Positive/Neutral. Though some may reverse the Negative and Positive phase, the process always moves to Assimilation/Neutral as a conclusive factor. It is rare to begin in the Positive. What we will describe can be experienced on all three levels of shifts, Individual, Community, and Global Levels, so this can be applied at other times than this shift currently unfolding. The window indicated by us through our channels is always the general window of the “positive” phase. It is most easily identifiable and marked, while the first and last thirds of the Triad are less defined by time. In the Negative phase (Phase One), Personality begins going through what some may consider a drop in energy, a sleep-like phase, sometimes depression or simple disorientation. This is what may easily be considered sedation of the Personality. This is caused by a more “horizontal” flow of energy and a time in which Personality must sustain itself on a basic instinctual level. In most cases there is a sense of disconnection from Essence, a sense of “just getting through the day”, and/or the dream state takes on a vivid life while the waking state seems gray or less-than. This is all due to the evaluation process occurring by Essence. Essence is “looking in” on all parallels, evaluating where energy has been utilized by all aspects of itself to date, in all of its manifestations, measuring this against several factors. During this first phase many “realities” are being generated in a potential state. Personality is in a state of sedation, so to speak, since this takes much energy that is usually available on a daily basis for creativity by the Personality, and redirecting it in a very specific manner. The very end of the Negative period is marked by a swift uplift in energy, a shift of sorts internally, marking the end of the exploration by Essence and an inclusion of Personality in the process. This is usually where Personality now suddenly feels inspired, senses potential on a vague but motivating level. This is where Personality will then make final decisions in what directions to go through the shift, selecting from the potentials generated by Essence. Shortly after this, the Positive phase begins (Phase Two). The window for the actual shift in parallels occurs during this phase. This phase is interpreted/experienced differently by different Roles and is further affected my Attitudes and Centering. In general, the more fluid Roles (Priests, Sages, and Artisans) can feel giddy and inspired, confused, but uplifted and energetic. The more solid Roles (Scholars, Kings, Warriors, and Servers) can feel slightly agitated, introverted, “serious” and feel a need to focus. The more solid Roles will usually find “projects” that focus the energy for this period of time or find sexual arousal distracting. This is their way of “staying in the body” during the shift. The shift tends to find an individual feeling scattered and this is not particularly comfortable for a solid role. This is all highly general, but accurate for the most part. Once the shift is finalized (and an astrological event usually parallels this), depending on the individual or community or planet (relative to the type of shift) the fragments settle into their new vein of experiences. This third phase can take as long as individually required, though it is usually within 60 days from the shift. During this phase you begin to experience that which is “next on your agenda” as determined by Personality and Essence. We will stop here and ask for your responses, validations, etc. Any questions. [Jn] Are these shifts “cosmic” events or determined by Essence or groups of Essence (community)? [Michael_Entity] They are determined by Essences, individually, and/or collectively. For instance, the Cetaceans have their own parallel shifts. The highest level, the global level, is more likely to include all of sentience on that planet. [Jn] So do the shifts happen mostly during Internal Monad periods? Like the 4th IM? [Michael_Entity] No, shifts happen all the time. More individual shifts may occur during personal revelations, but that is individually determined. Each year, there are an average of 4 Individual Shifts, 2 Community Shifts, and one Global Shift. They are all built upon by “decisions” that lead to the major “choices”. [aa] Can personality’s desires and wishes influence essence choices regarding a shift? [Michael_Entity] Personality is entirely influential. In fact, parallel realities would not be a necessity if not for the dynamics of a Personality. This is the Tao’s way, and Essence's way, to accommodate the wishes, creativity, and even rejections of Essence from the Personality. Just previous to a shift, however, a momentum has already begun long before by your Personality’s day-to-day reactions to experiences, your decisions, your thoughts, feelings,… all this is fed to Essence as factors for consideration. Once the Negative phase has begun (Phase One), most of what is considered for your “future” parallels is already “collected”. As you begin as an older soul to recognize these shifts, processing them more consciously, there may be a tendency of the Personality to want to “be a part” of the shift by trying to “influence” it through focusing at that time, etc. It is actually more empowering and influential a perception to consider your daily reactions, responses and decisions are what “matter” in terms of creating your future, not the window for the shift. We know of some Personalities being anxiety riddled at the nexus points, “hoping” they pick the “right” parallel. This is completely invalid. Once the shifts begin, Personality is in a space where surrender is the most empowering strength. There are some things the Personality was not designed to do. Trusting Essence is the primary challenge for the Personality during a parallel shift. [Jn] For Global shifts, all sentience on our planet experienced the shifts, but what about alien visitors here? Do they participate? I am curious to know if our shifts (parallel universes) have effects on other planets (or vice versa). [Michael_Entity] There are actually 7 levels of shifts that occur or are possible in the Universe. We remain dealing with only these basic 3 shifts until more off-planet concerns are a factor. We will discuss the fourth level at the end of this year. In answer to your question: If there would be an alien visitor, it would participate in the shift relative to this planet as well, yes. Your local shifts for your planet affect other planets only to the extent that off-planet exploration is utilized. For now, other civilizations off-planet would have more influences on your planet, than the reverse. Next question… [La] So far, most of what you’ve told us would apply to the Individual Shift, but I’m unclear as to the dynamics of a Community Shift? [Michael_Entity] The primary difference is that MORE of you are shifting together in one context. It still occurs individually, without exception, but there is a factor of agreement in a larger circle. This means that a group of fragments have agreed on a future that would like to be experienced in terms of interaction with each other after evaluating Agreements, Karma, contacts, Sequences, Vectors, etc. When done on the Individual Level, after a shift you may view many things differently, feel different motivations, all of which seem detached from the perceptions of those around you. You will notice that in a Community Shift or Global Shift, more media is involved, more gatherings, more impact FROM others or ON others around you. Each Community shift usually has a theme. This shift is specifically about manifesting True Soul age on a Psychological Level. The mundane effects of this are in the loss of people or the gain of people in a significant way in your personal support circle. This is why we spoke earlier of the window being a longer time frame; to accommodate the actual Individual shifts involved. If there are no more questions about the shift, we will take a question from each of you. Depending on its nature, we will respond to it tonight. [aa] I had a dream where images were flashing in too fast to recognize. Was this some sort of “processing”? About twenty images in a sequence of flashing. [Michael_Entity] We would think so. This is not unusual. The Dream State becomes a meeting ground for Essence and Personality for some considerations of potential futures. This is usually the “uploading” of certain experiences that have not been “updated” for Essence evaluation. You may experience them as if they are being fed to “you”, but this is natural since they are moving to a conscious level from your Centers where they were stored previously. It may be assumed that Essence is involved in all activities and experiences and “knows all” while you are incarnated, but this is just not the case. Essence, of course, is involved on all levels, but in many cases “allows” the Personality its own terms for much of its life. The Personality will report or check in or make contact when wanted or needed. This contact can easily be sustained so that Essence is purely manifest, but we rarely see a Personality interested in this except in extreme trauma. [Dd] What does the maxim: You create your reality NOT entail? [Michael_Entity] Though this is a rather “large” question, we can assure you that most mistake this as the Personality’s potential, when it is not. The Personality is highly limited in its “creation” of reality. Personality, though, is the highest consideration by Essence in terms of what DECISIONS Personality has made for a length of time. Essence takes these factors into consideration as the Essence creates reality. The Personality is a sensory unit for the Physical Plane, and though it has the definite potential and goal for pure manifestation of Essence, allowing Personality a co-creative stance, it will always be Essence that creates the actual reality. This is why we encourage Essence Contact. The more consciously involved “you” are (as Personality) with Essence, the more influence on Physical Plane manifestations and abundance. A missing link in many endeavors for “creating your reality” is in the lack of actually “asking” for what you want directly to Essence. It is most often “left to the Universe” or “released” to a vague source or “God” for its manifestation. The most irresponsible and indifferent mantra we have seen used by Personality in reality is, “It will happen if it is supposed to happen”, or similar. We say “irresponsible” in its true sense, not in the judgmental manner this word usually entails. Since Essence (and certainly the Tao) does not “think” in terms of “supposed to” this lends little direction to an event and what results is usually another opportunity for Chief Feature manifestation. [Dd] So has the Seth material been largely misinterpreted much like the words of Christ were? [Michael_Entity] There is no such thing as misinterpretation. Nothing can be misrepresented or misinterpreted; only individually perceived. It is an individual determination and based on relativity. What is seen as “misinterpretation”, at least in this context, is more a frustrating need for validation of that individual perception. This has been the contributing factor behind most religious conflict, in fact, most conflict. [Dd] We all yearn for the truth. [Michael_Entity] It has never been the “words” themselves that contribute to the situation, but rather the need for validation externally of the words as seen individually. We are being truthful when we say that all is true on some level. Reminding yourself of the three levels of Truth (Individual, World, and Universal) can alleviate many distractions with conflict. All of the material from Seth is valid and applicable. If it is to be used for personal exploration of power and conflict, then it is still serving the students. We would suggest looking beyond the surface to what the personal challenge is. We do not see it involving philosophy, but simple self-karma. We will take another question, then conclude. [By] First, as I understand it, essence can split off and create alternate or parallel realities so it can experience different “what if” scenarios – right? [Michael_Entity] This is a valid angle, yes. [By] Then can through some form, say meditation, can I contact essence with intense desire that it try something else and then when it is finished, it will merge the split off fragment back and at some level I will benefit from the learning of the fragment? [Michael_Entity] You already do this; it is inherent in the process of a life. It does not require meditation. Frustrations, reactions, responses, decisions, emotions, thoughts, ideas, etc. all contribute to the diverging/branching of parallels. The merging is based on a quantity of similarities in certain parallels and the lack of need for individual realities. “Benefit” is gained on many levels. A drive to have children might spawn a reality where that is the choice, lessening the drive in “this” reality so as to focus on other agenda. Benefit can also be more consciously gained through simple visualization and if you prefer, meditation. Visualize what “you” are like in a reality that has done or is doing or having, etc. what it is you are seeking. We have spoken on this many times, stating that your imagination is all that is needed for this exercise. Though we realize it is highly mistrusted, the imagination is the highest frequency owned by a body and extremely empowering. In your visualization, choose a simple habit, style change, or activity that “you” do “there” that you do not do “here”. In the replication of this in your reality, you will create a link, or bleedthrough, helping to direct a manifestation. [By] So that the direction to try a different existence comes from me and not from essence as such? I have trouble distinguishing between “me” and “essence”… [Michael_Entity] We have said before, but will here say again, that the dynamics of Parallels is designed to accommodate both the Essence’s AND Personality’s development of a life. The “direction to try a different existence” comes from both Essence and Personality, sometimes in harmony, sometimes in complete discord with each other. Essence will never interfere with the ideas of a Personality however removed they are from the “original plan”. There is plenty of “room” for “all of you” Another reason for parallels is that Essence CANNOT experience all of the Physical Plane while the Personality IS of the Physical Plane, therefore, Personality has an “edge” on what is important, needed, or wanted. Personality gives the Essence a source of “feedback” from the Physical Plane so as to make more and more complex, elaborate and meaningful choices as Soul Age progresses. [By] I guess “I” am a creation of essence so if “I” wish essence to try a different scenario, then it is the same as essence doing it. Or am I getting confused here? [Michael_Entity] There is really no need to distinguish between “you” as personality and essence since as older souls you are seeking alignment more and more. [By] ok, I think the subject of who can initiate the creation of parallel realities is a little clearer for me now, thank you. [Michael_Entity] If there is confusion in your life, it is best to assume yourself as Personality. This will allow a clearer path of communication to Essence when important. A sense of knowing and trust for the next moment or experience being felt may be considered being in Essence. Either way, there is the same amount of impact available on reality. It is merely within the acceptance or resistance of this that a challenge can occur. We will conclude here.
  7. Michael Speaks Live "Transforming Chief Features" May 25, 2014 Channel: Troy Tolley MEntity: Hello to each of you. We are here, now. We can begin. We have had much to say about the subject of the Chief Negative Features, and much more can be said, of course, so what we will offer up today is not definitive, but simply more to consider as you work to understand and embrace your fears, transforming them away from being obstacles and paralysis to being informative and helpful. Fear was never "meant" to be a challenge or something to undermine any fragment's life, but much like anything that exists, it is a tool that can become a pivotal resource toward Agape or a restrictive halt away from everything. Fear, or the Chief Negative Features, are inherently "negative" because they describe the gap between "you" and "other," or "something else." Anything inherently divisive is "negative" in our teaching, but this does not mean it is inherently "bad." Fear is inherent in Personality because Personality is inherently divided from all other things and people, and even from Essence in many ways. From the moment one is born, the first, most primal fear is born along with you: the fear of non-attachment. This fear is biological. It is what keeps "you" alive. It is what clings to the mother, to the caretaker, what keeps the toddler close to the camp, to the tribe, and attached to its resources. It is what keeps the body searching for foods, for water, for tools, etc. Anything that is necessary for survival. So, fear is quite "good" in that regard. Any threat to the attachment of the biological self to its resources is highlighted and avoided, either by fight or flight. Keep this in mind as you explore your own Chief Features, then, because at the heart of everyone's fears, it is this struggle with non-attachment that is key. We will elaborate further upon that consideration as we explore the subject, if time permits. For today's focus, we understand that the interest is in the various ways one can consciously make choices in behavior so as to relieve the effects of a particular fear, or Chief Feature. The point of transforming your relationship to fear is because when fear is informative, it is simply a means of enhancing your capacity to choose. It is not much different from any warning system built in to any vehicle that alerts you as to when you may be in close proximity to a collision. It would not make sense to argue that warning systems are removed from vehicles because the mere presence of those alerts implies something is wrong, flawed, or bad. That warning system is an advantage that increases the capacity for choice, for better navigation, for success in one's direction and endeavors. However, when most struggle with the Chief Features as an issue, it is because the "warning system" goes off randomly, goes off without relevance, goes off constantly, etc. It is no longer associated with an actual threat, or with information. Imagine the difference between enjoying a walk through the woods, watching the birds, the creatures, enjoying the sunlight, the babbling brook, your thoughts, and then noticing a bear in the distance to which you then steer clear of in a smart way, as compared to a walk in the woods where you presume that every twig cracking and every shadow is a bear. Both of these methods are helpful for keeping you alert to bears, but one keeps you from noticing pretty much anything else. If one's "warning system" is random, constant, or irrelevant, then that warning system becomes useless for navigation, and simply keeps you on one end of the spectrum of life. It keeps you on the side of "Being Alive" vs "Living." We will speak of each of the Chief Features now, with a brief synopsis, and then a list of methods for how one can use his or her consciousness to transform that fear so that one is not just being alive, but can live again, so to speak. Synopsis of Self-Deprecation and Arrogance SELF-DEPRECATION and ARROGANCE are attachments to how one defines one's self. Self-Deprecation is the fear of NOT BEING ENOUGH, while Arrogance is the fear of BEING TOO MUCH. Self-deprecation fears not being seen clearly, while Arrogance fears being seen too clearly. Self-deprecation finds its scraps of self-esteem in being first to the punch for cutting himself or herself down. This is Self-deprecation's way of protecting the self from being invisible or feeling invisible or incompetent. The defense here is that if the individual can call out or showcase his or her own flaws first, then it is a way to show that he or she is on board with what they presume you will undoubtedly see, or are seeing already. It is the only way they know how to be seen: through the lens of failures, flaws, insecurities, and doubts. Arrogance, on the other hand, tries to protect its self-esteem by creating as protective a veneer as possible, hiding his or her insecurities behind a persona of false-confidence, offense, and defense. Since there is very little self-esteem here, it must be protected at all costs, often by deflecting through pointing out someone else's flaws or incompetence. It is the only way they know how to keep any sense of self-esteem, by pretending that it exists in greater quantities than it does. Self-deprecation points out its own flaws, and Arrogance points out yours. Self-Deprecation The 7 Angles of Behavior for help in transforming Self-deprecation might be: 1. YOU ARE NOT IN TROUBLE For those who struggle with Self-deprecation, there can often be a haunting sense of constantly being on the verge of being caught, being called out, humiliated, made to be an example, or "in trouble." Even when there is nothing to warrant such concerns. And even more so when there is such a need for concern. Allow for failure, for being incompetent, and build on your experiences so that you can learn, or make choices to pursue other directions. If your only concern is whether you will be in trouble, or not, then you will never truly be your best. 2. YOUR BEST MAY NOT BE THE BEST There are going to be times when you do not meet the expectations of others, or yourself. And the very best that you can do may not be the best that someone else can do. That is a fact of existence. Embrace this and allow kindness as a process in your improvement, or as a part of your freedom to pursue your strengths. 3. CLEAN YOUR CONSCIENCE That is not a typo. We speak to the necessity for those in Self-deprecation to CLEAN their conscience. By this we mean that the individual take time to note just how much clutter is in the mind that is from the past, buried like shallow graves, gathered there like a cemetery of failures and flaws, ready to be dug up at a moment's notice. It is important that those in Self-deprecation regularly look at these experiences as a PART of who they are, and not defining who they are. CLEAN your conscience of these metaphorical graves and begin to make room for life, for living things to grow there. Let the failures of the past act as fertilizer, if you will, rather than preserved as some sort of trophy that makes up for competence. 4. CLEAN YOUR ENVIRONMENT In addition to the clutter of the mind, those in Self-deprecation can fall into clutter of their space, reflecting the building debris of flaws, failures, failed expectations, etc. For those with Self-deprecation, there can be a high tolerance for clutter, and this can be reflective of the tolerance for the the clutter in the mind, heart, and body. A regular effort to clean, organize, and experience one's space helps to clean, organize, and experience one's self. Attention to personal hygiene is important here, too. Those in Self-deprecation may not "smell" as a result of lacking personal hygiene, but they may very well skip on certain routines of care for the body that would help them to transform the sense of invisibility and inadequacy into self-nurturing and personal attentiveness. 5. CARE FOR YOURSELF Do not presume that someone else needs to, or should, or could do this for you. Care for yourself in as many ways you can in a day. Give yourself good food, good entertainment, good bathing, good hygiene, kindness, patience, etc. 6. STOP APOLOGIZING/EXCUSING As long as you constantly apologize for yourself, you are not being responsible for yourself. As long as you are making excuses, you are not being responsible. Apologies and excuses are deflection from responsibility. We are not speaking here in terms of the social courtesy of acknowledging grief, or acknowledging a slight, but apology and excuses as a buffer to protect from the ownership of response. 7. OWN YOURSELF By this we mean that you freely acknowledge your behaviors, your failures, your flaws, but respond to them through ownership, not as a way to deflect from further responsibility. When you apologize or offer excuses, you are reacting. You are not owning. When you own yourself, you can respond as opposed to react, and this is key to responsibility. AN ASIDE: Keep in mind that the Chief Features will not just show up as behaviors in yourself, but as behaviors you endure or attract in others, as well. Arrogance The 7 Angles of Behavior for transforming ARROGANCE might be: 1. NO ONE IS LOOKING For those in Arrogance, the fear that everyone is watching them is high. There is a keen sense that every move and choice and action is being scrutinized and of high relevance to others. In most cases, that is simply not true. No one is watching you. Most do not care if your hair is messed up, you stumbled, or if you are meeting your own standards or expectations. 2. CELEBRATE PRIVATELY For many in Arrogance, there is a compulsion to make it known to others every little success, to point out immediately a win, or to even "humblebrag," which is a self-congratulation tucked into a false self-deprecation. Allow yourself celebrate yourself with yourself. Your successes are just as real with or without being used as a means for defining yourself to others. See if you can embrace a success on your own without recruiting others to celebrate you. 3. CELEBRATE OTHERS Sometimes those in Arrogance can be so preoccupied with presuming everyone is watching them, that they forget to pay any meaningful attention to others. 4. LEAVE YOURSELF ALONE Those in Arrogance can be even harsher in self-criticism than those in Self-deprecation. Self-deprecation can slide into a quiet defeat, but Arrogance can be relentless. Many in Arrogance are their own worst bullies, if you will, taking on the voices of their past that criticized them, owning them so as to find some of their self-esteem in "siding" with this self-loathing. 5. LEAVE OTHERS ALONE Those in Arrogance can be of the worst bullies toward others, as well, actively or passively condescending in tone, words, behaviors, etc. If you find that you are talking down about another person, or yourself (see 4), behaving in a way that is not constructive, or helpful, but simply emphasizing flaws, then it may be time to look at how you are giving rise to voices of criticism that you carry about yourself. Criticism is helpful and meaningful, but not when only used as a means of deflection or protection. 6. EMBRACE EQUALITY By this we mean that while there will always be nuances among everyone and everything, with great gaps between common grounds, with some being better at some skills than others, or more socially celebrated than others, or even unfairly rewarded more than others, there is still profound relevance to the common ground of humanity and existence. In other words, allow comparisons to be informative, not defining. When you see or feel you are better than another, or that another is acting as if better than you, then remind yourself of as much that you share as possible. This does not mean you are not better at what you do than someone else might be, or that another person is not more attractive to more people than you may be, but let yourself have that which is equally true, as well. You do not have to pretend there are no differences, but do not pretend there are no similarities, either. 7. INVITE INTIMACY More than most other Chief Features, Arrogance will keep others at a distance, even as they often feign being very open and up front with you. Many in Arrogance will carefully construct a spectrum of revealing behaviors and expressions that others presume is all there is to know or see about that person, thus protecting the person in Arrogance from those who might otherwise pry. So it can be helpful for the person in Arrogance to take some responsibility and care in consciously inviting others to be close, not presuming that others will find their way, and then looking up and wondering where everyone is. Those in Arrogance can be of the loneliest people because they create the greatest moats of protection, but crave so desperately to be close at the same time. And so it can be helpful to actively invite intimacy, either in obvious ways such as literally asking for conversation, inviting to social events, etc, or by simply allowing the self to be present with another, listening, paying attention, and responding with care. Intimacy is not always about receiving attention, but about giving it. Due to the extensive elaboration on each of these Chief Features, we must suggest that this be broken up into a couple of sessions for delivery. We started with Self-deprecation and Arrogance, as these are most common for older souls, but we will have to elaborate upon the remaining Chief Features in another exchange. We will open the floor here for the next 15 minutes so that questions can be asked. FLOOR IS NOW OPEN [ViP] Is there any difference in how these Angles of Behavior should be interpreted or applied, based on whether the CF attempting to be transformed is primary, vs secondary, vs tertiary? MEntity: Each of the 7 Angles we offered would likely be relevant in any context, but one of the angles may be more relevant than others of that Chief Feature. [BrianW] Realizing there is not enough time to go over it in-depth, could you give a way to counteract the sliding of the negative poles of self-deprecation to self-destruction? MEntity: If Self-deprecation is sliding to Self-destruction, it would mean that it is, first, accessing Stubbornness. Self-deprecation cannot slide to Self-destruction otherwise. This means that Self-deprecation's Negative Pole of Self-abasement is sliding to Stubbornness' Negative Pole of Obstinance, and then over to Self-destruction's Suicide. When that is the case, it is likely that the Personality has decided what is so awful about the self, then refuses to change in any way that could be beneficial, which then leads to a sense of complete waste of life. To help counteract this, one would need to slide to GREED's "positive" pole of APPETITE. Though no Chief Features is truly "positive," the positive poles do describe the path out of that Chief Feature. In this case, having an appetite for life again, an embrace of what one wants and needs, can greatly counter the sense that life is simply being wasted on the self. Once that sense of appetite for life is remotely available, more life can come, more living. And that matters, even if only on a day to day basis. [Mariusrehm] can it in any way be helpful to make others aware of what you think their features might be? is a certain amount of intimacy/closeness needed for them to not feel accused when that is addressed? or does everybody has to completely explore these things on their own? MEntity: Marius, it is often more helpful for you to know the Chief Features of others than for you to point them out to them. Pointing out the Chief Features of others is only helpful if there is a mutual agreement to allow for this. Trust is necessary here, and even then it can be tricky. Of course, it is your choice as to whether you do this for someone, and how you do it, but we can say from experience that it is true that meaningful common ground and trust is fairly vital for the "photographing" of another to be useful to them. By "photographing" we mean those moments when one would offer up a "snapshot" of a moment or behavior of another for consideration. In some cases, however, intervention may be necessary if a person is completely unaware. When intervention is offered, the one who is offering must be willing to endure the reactions, deflections, defenses, and denials that might come from the confrontation of the reality of one's harmful impact on the self or others. This must be considered carefully, if intervention is deemed necessary. If one is not to the extreme of necessity for intervention, then one's most effective means of inviting another to consider his or her Chief Feature is to simply ask if that person knows that his or her behavior has a particularly harmful or divisive effect. In that invitation through asking, you will likely see if there is any room for meaningful discussion, or if there will only be more of the same. [Tyrone] Mine can just be a yes or no type answer, I'm just suspicious: [Tyrone] Were each of these 7 angles you gave related to the Centering Parts? Or I guess more generally, related to the axes and cardinality/ordinality? [Tyrone] (I am currently thinking in the order you gave them: 1. Instinctive, 2. Intellect, 3. Emotion, 4. Moving, 5. Higher Int., 6. Higher Emot., 7. Higher Moving) MEntity: Correlations could certainly be made, though further elaboration may be necessary to point out how these resonate. [Tyrone] I guess just were you guys thinking along those lines when coming up with them MEntity: Everything we ever offer can be mapped in correlative terms. Today's information is not an exception. However, we are not certain as to the order that Troy "unpacked" the delivery, so we would not consider these static correlations as far as the sequence. We think they are close, though, if not already in the sequence you describe. [Kurtis] Hi Michael, I hope this fits in relatively good context with this discussion, but I've been noticing a difficulty in understanding Caution's -Phobia in comparison to the CFs. Could you elaborate or clarify the difference between these CFs and -Phobia? MEntity: All Negative Poles of any Overleaf will be hooked into Chief Features, so Phobia, for example, would hook into that person's Chief Feature. The same would be said for Ingratiation or Identification, as Negative Poles for Acceptance or Passion, respectively. In other words, the Negative Poles of an Overleaf are what activate Chief Features, not the other way around. Caution is a means of relating, or reaching the Goal, by refining one's thoughts and expression, so Deliberation is when one is able to carefully select a thought or expression as that means of relating or reaching the goal. Phobia comes in when the person begins to overanalyze, overthink, and can no longer refine his or her interpretations or expressions. This person becomes frightened of his own thinking. This, then, would trigger whatever Chief Feature has come to be habitual as a means to protect the self. But this inability to refine one's thoughts would come first. To clarify: this person's over-thinking starts to scare him, triggering his Chief Features. Do you see the difference? [Kurtis] Yes I definitely do [Kurtis] I've been meaning to ask this kind of question for a while now MEntity: We will conclude here for today, and continue this discussion into the other Chief Features. We know we have many students who are in Arrogance and Self-deprecation, so a good number of you can begin to consider how you can transform these, if you choose to do so. From a different channeling session: Impatience [CocteauBoy] 1. TAKE TIME OFF - separate yourself from the steady stream of influence time has over you, and move yourself into a position that is intended to be free, such as going for a nice walk, a night off to the movies, a meeting with a friend for conversation, etc. Anything that you would normally NOT do because you "do not have enough time," TO DO. [CocteauBoy] 2. QUIET YOUR MIND - Impatience can scramble your thinking process to such an extent that you are no longer effective, so it would do you well to SLOW DOWN your mind, your thinking, and find your quiet, internal space. This could be done in the shower, or in a bath, or any other moment you think of it. Simply relax your face, your jaw, feel the weight of your tongue in your mouth, the presence of your chest, and for a full handful of minutes from 3 to 30, JUST BE. This practice of BEING will allow you to come back to your moment with far more effectiveness. [CocteauBoy] 3. EMBRACE ONE THING - Impatience can often leave one feeling as if she must be on top of everything that is on the agenda, thus everything clamors for the attention of the priority spot. Instead of thinking of one thing causing the delay of another, it would do you well to think of your focus on one thing as an EMBRACE of that thing, much like your hugging of a child or puppy, knowing that you will happily and quickly hug the next child or puppy, as soon as you are done hugging one. This will help you to keep out intrusive thinking and distracted emotions. [CocteauBoy] 4. USE YOUR BODY - Impatience can often leave one feeling the burden of Time on the body, which can leave one ignoring the effectiveness of the body, leading to clumsiness and erratic behaviors or reactions. One of the greatest ways to use your body is to LISTEN. Most fragments who suffer from Impatience tend to presume the intent, meaning, and words of others who are communicating. [CocteauBoy] There is rarely any patience for the act of LISTENING. Some who suffer from Impatience do not even realize how little they listen because they simply go deaf to the outside world, so to speak, but have learned to speak for everyone around them so effectively they think their own words are those of others'. Taking a moment to ask if you are LISTENING can help you to come back to the moment and actually make more effective decisions and responses in the moment. [CocteauBoy] 5. CREATE PATTERNS - Impatience usually drives an individual into patterns that are comforting, rather than productive. When one is in impatience, and creating only comfort patterns, there still must be a sense of proof for the use of Time, so this leads to lying to oneself, lying to others, so that the time appears to have been met with enough challenge to validate ones existence, or one will escape into routines that are simply "going nowhere." Patterns are perfectly valid, but when one is Impatient, these patterns can move into entropy, so one must bring an awareness to the process of one's patterns and ask if they are being CREATED, or if they are merely being fulfilled. Make a simple change as a means to create or alter a pattern and the results can often be rather amazing. [CocteauBoy] 6. PRESENCE - Though we have mentioned this already, it is worth pointing out as its own concern, to be PRESENT. Those afflicted with Impatience are often NOT where they are in time. They are often somewhere else, such as an elusive future, or a sentimental past. It would do you well to practice being present when you are doing something. To do so would mean to be fully aware that your actions are being driven by your choice, and that your skin, your hands, your face, your body, Personality, are all on board for the moment, even if you would rather be doing something else. The more you escape the moment, the less you can bring change to your momentum. [CocteauBoy] 7. LAUGH AT TIME - by this we mean to point out that Time has very little to do with your life beyond your experience and interpretation of it. If you can find the humor and heart in your relationship to Time, you can find it as an ally, instead of as an oppressive dictator. Laughing at Time can mean finding fun things to do, playful things to do, meaningless and pointless things to do, as long as you enjoy them and they help you to lose your focus on time. In doing so, you can begin to help your Personality and Body to see just how little REALITY there is time beyond your use of the moment, and your interpretation of that.
  8. [Extracted from Michael Speaks: June 2005] [Annsge] I would like to know about the secondary chief feature. I’ve heard that it affects the mode and/or it affects relationships. Is there anything in particular that is helpful in working with the 2nd CF? How does it affect relationships–and/or does it affect relationships more than the Primary CF? MEntity: We have spoken of the Secondary Chief Feature as affecting the Attitude and the Mode, depending on the context of the questioning. When we spoke of the Attitude being affected, there was less understanding as to how the Mode worked. The Mode is not one of the more understood Overleaves. We would, then, say that there are three tiers to the effects of a Chief Feature, making a Primary, Secondary, and Tertiary Chief Feature system. Primary Chief Feature affects the GOAL; the Secondary affects the MODE; the Tertiary affects the Attitude. It is NOT that there are three distinctly different Chief Features in your Overleaves, but that there are three AREAS in which a Chief Feature will be distinctly visible. Although these areas may very well have three distinctly different Chief Features, it is also quite common to have one Chief Feature rule all three areas. These areas, then, would be the areas of Self-Fulfillment, Relationship-Fulfillment, and Philosophical Fulfillment, or the Goal, Mode, and Attitude, respectively. The Chief Feature that affects the Mode is the Chief Feature that affects your experience of EXPRESSION. In addition, then, the Chief Feature that affects your GOAL affects your experience of ACTION, while the Chief Feature that affects your Attitude affects your experience of INSPIRATION. The Chief Feature that affects your Mode/Expression/Relationships is the Chief Feature that is used to protect you from INTIMACY. Your Mode describes not only how you express yourself internally and externally, but it also describes how you approach or repel Intimacy. When we speak of Intimacy, we are speaking of the spectrum of experience that could be described as SAFETY. In other words, the Chief Feature that is enlisted as your protector against Intimacy is doing so because you have learned that you are UNSAFE in your Expression and in your Relationships. We remind you that a “relationship” and “intimacy” is not exclusive to human interaction, but can include your sense of relationship to and intimacy within yourself, your aspirations, goals, etc. This subject can be explored much more deeply in a more appropriately provided format. We believe what we have shared is a good start. We, of course, have much to say on this subject. In terms of alleviating the effects of the Secondary Chief Feature, one would always find the quickest and “easiest” route to be through that of the Attitude. In ALL cases of Chief Features, the Attitude is the one overleaf that can dismantle them all. If one can find a conscious means to implement a behavior to bring the Attitude into the Positive Pole, one can dismantle the effects of the Chief Features in a powerful “domino or cascade effect.” Using the Positive Pole of the partner Attitude on the shared Axis, one can then move directly into the Positive Pole of the original Attitude. For example: If one is an Idealist, one can move from Naiveté (negative pole) to Coalescence (positive pole) by using INVESTIGATION, which is the Positive Pole of the Skeptic. To explain this more personally: The Idealist sees life in terms of how it SHOULD BE. This often leads to Naiveté because he tends to believe he can or should do far more than he is capable of doing. The Idealist then piles his life full of obligations and improvements to the point of disappointment and sometimes to the extent of harming himself or others. He has not accepted that to get from point A to point Z requires the steps in between. This is a form of Naiveté. This “negative” Attitude then cascades throughout the Overleaves, weighing them down into the Philosophy of CONSTANT IMPROVEMENT (or that everything should be “better”) without the means or method to do so. The Philosophy is not the problem; it is simply the lack of Coalescence that blocks this fragment. Coalescence could be defined as the culmination of several factors that can eventually manifest the Ideal. One can now see how INVESTIGATION might help an Idealist to dismantle his fears. If he would simply seek to understand (investigate) the steps required that would create his Ideal, he would not remain under the weight of Naiveté. Once he grasps and implements the process of realizing the Ideal, he is immediately back in Coalescence and free from Chief Feature. This same method can be applied to ANY Overleaf, but starting with the Attitude is the most empowering and immediately revitalizing because Attitudes are linked to the energy of Inspiration. Once the feed of Inspiration is returned to the Personality, most often “anything” can then be done.
  9. March 7, 2002 Troy Tolley, Channel Racism [M_Entity] Hello to all of you. We are here. We understand the topic tonight to be “Racism.” We can begin by stating that we believe Racism, as it is understood, is simply a subcategory of a larger categorical rejection of, abuse of, neglect of, or dismissal of a particular group. We believe Racism is included along with Sexism, Species-ism, and other minor “-isms” within the larger context of “Classism.” Classism exists across the board, so to speak, and is included even within the sub-groups who claim to be victims of any particular “-ism.” To understand Racism, one must first understand Classism. Classism is not particular to any Soul Age as it might be guessed to be of Young Soul origin. It is not. Classism exists even within the gentler Old Soul communities, as well. We will define Classism as “the inherent need for identity that creates the illusion of division within social constructs.” Classism in not linked to particular Soul Ages because it is actually linked to particular Overleaves, which can be used in any lifetime by any Soul Age or Essence. Classism tends to be rooted in the interesting dynamic within a society as it is defined by the predominant Centering. In nearly all cases, the Classism moves in this direction: Intellect over Emotional over Moving. Inherent within Races, there ARE certain genetic inclinations that make that particular Race more potentially Moving, Intellectual, or Emotional in Centering. Naturally, the darker the pigmentation of skin, the more inclined that Race is toward Moving. The lack of pigmentation tends an inclination toward Intellect. This is NOT a rule, but an INCLINATION. We do not say, nor do we mean to imply, that there is a rule to define Centering based on skin color. In nearly all cases of Slavery and Racism within your history, the basis has almost entirely been based in differing Centers. When Centers are the same, the Classism moves to division based next on the PART. So, even within a society of intellectually centered Caucasians, the Emotional PARTs will usually take dominance over the Moving PARTs. This seemingly “natural” hierarchy is NOT VALID, of course, but is based in the vague longing toward “perfection.” Inherent in all fragments is that “longing”, however vague or clear. This longing is from the sense of separation and the apparent struggle to rise beyond that that seems to epitomize that separation: the Physical Plane. The Physical Plane is the most “separated” you will EVER be from anything; even internally there is the greatest rift you will ever experience as the division between “you” and Essence. If there could ever be an “original sin” identified, we believe it would be more accurate to identify the unconscious misinterpretation of the Physical Plane as a trap that must be risen above. By extension, this misinterpretation has manifested in many divisive ways. ALL “-isms” are a means to gain that illusory rise above what is most symbolic of what has trapped you here. If you examine your films, literature, history, you will find that most forms of SERIOUS praise and awards are given to those of intellectual stature. Frivolous forms of praise and awards are given to the more emotional categories of entertainment, charity, and the more moving centered sports. As we said that Classism is not exclusive to any Soul Age, we CAN say that the Mature Soul Age does the greatest work in alleviating as much of this as is possible within a Sentient Species. As can be seen in your world today, more and more methods of honoring all forms of Centering are coming forth and being taken far more seriously. With all of this being said, we must make it clear that Classism IS NOT a result of Centering, but a result of Fear, or Chief Feature. This fear is simply justified through the tool of Centering. The Exalted Chief Features will almost always be the dominant oppressor over the Ordinal Chief Features, many times despite the Centering. We will continue now with your questions for us. Otherwise, this is a strong foundation for beginning to understand the dynamics behind divisions within Class, Race, Gender, etc. QUESTIONS? [sam-nemo] What is the origin of races? How did they begin? I read a story in the Urantia book. [M_Entity] The origins of races is a grand topic, but we can say that we agree that the species eventually used by what is our Sentience began approximately 8 million years ago in what is now known as East Africa. [sam-nemo] To shorten the topic, did they pop up at one time or were they affected by genetic manipulation or alien experiments? [M_Entity] The varying Races had their development in part due to nomadic movement across lands, but more due to the genetic splicing effects when our Sentience moved to this planet. To respond to your question “in short,” we believe the “genetic manipulation” had more to do with varying Races than anything. Approximately 6 million years ago, the most dramatic divisions began. This was based on the genetic splicing and the care that the “aliens” had in creating the most effective and practical genetic bodies for the varying locations seeded. [MaryBV] How much of racism is based on bad past life experiences with or as part of a culture/people? [M_Entity] We would have to say that ANTI-racism is more indicative of past life experiences with or as part of a culture/people. Racism in its truest form is based in LACK of experiences. [Val] Please expand on the word “trapped” in your explanation and Exalted chief features, what is your meaning is? [M_Entity] We meant the word “trapped” literally, as in a confining and unchosen/unwanted condition of which there is great difficulty in escaping. The Exalted Chief Features are Greed, Arrogance, and Impatience. Because “you” exist primarily as “spirit,” the confines of the Physical Plane from the very beginning are quite uncomfortable and the challenges inherent to the Physical Plane are quite a shock to Essence. This affects the lifetimes in ways that are conscious and unconscious, leading nearly all extant to seek a vague sense of “somewhere else,” or “home,” be that in another person, a career, another location, or even another life, etc. This seeking eventually finds a balance and turns into “spirituality,” and eventually, as well, you realize you have never actually left “home.” [JNelson] Why would genetics predispose certain people towards certain overleaves? [M_Entity] Overleaves ARE genetic. Personality, while affected by environment, education, conditioning, is primarily based in genetics, in the same way a Body is. There is, literally, a gene that predisposes a Personality toward Intellect, as there is also a gene that predisposes a Personality toward Moving. We remind you that we say PREDISPOSES. This is overridden or flowed with as the life unfolds and choices and reactions are experienced. The Personality, even as it is defined by our system, is a biological description. In some parallels where genetic identification and manipulation is more accurate and acceptable, Personalities can be altered or at least identified and described quite early in a child’s life. This can and will be abused, of course, but as its more practical uses are found in some parallels it is a form of healing and/or preparation for a child’s life. [JNelson] So do fragments incarnate into specific bodies simply because they’re programmed with the desired overleaves already or would the fragment reprogram the overleaves itself upon incarnation? [M_Entity] The Overleaves are chosen first, as the Soul ages, and then the closest parental genetic pool is chosen to create the body. In early incarnations, predominate Essence dynamics usually determines the body a Soul uses, based on an already-defined Personality developing. For instance, a female body is 100% Female Energy (or Creative Energy) when a Soul is not using it. An Essence with predominantly Creative Energy in its ratio will be inclined to have female bodies in their earlier lives. Later, the Essence will more consciously choose against this as a means to learn balance and other various lessons. Eventually, the Energy Ratio can be used effectively regardless of the body’s gender. Infant Souls do not discriminate their choices of bodies as they would simply rather be born as soon as possible to escape the discomfort of being dead. Eventually, as the lessons of survival teach, they learn to choose and create more and more consciously. As the Soul learns, the creation of a lifetime and a body becomes an art form.   10. June 6, 2002 Troy Tolley, Channel The 7 Methods of Choice [Includes additional channeling after the chat for clarity and detail] [Michael_Entity] Hello to all of you. We are here. We understand the topic to be that of what we would refer to as the “7 Methods of Choice”. There are 7 methods of choice. This does not mean they are in any way hierarchical, but rather that they are as distinct and available as any Overleaf or Role, even more so. This information is not to complicate the experience of Choice, but to help bring understanding to the varying methods that you may find are your personal preference, or to find more appropriate methods to suit your circumstances. Though these methods can be said to relate to the Roles, Goals, Modes, etc., they are by no means as binding as your Overleaves, in terms of defining you. Though one may find that a predominance of certain Overleaves, impact of Role, Casting, etc, MAY, and we stress MAY, lend influence toward a default, this default is not defining or binding. In other words, you ALWAYS have a Choice as to how you CHOOSE, and you are always choosing. We will begin with the most Neutral of methods, which would be Passivity or Surrender. This method of choice is quite simply concerned with observing the unfolding of life from the most passive of stances, much like a scientist observing an experiment. This method of choosing usually has the fragment not touched by the impact or effects of life so much as the fragment is in awe of it, for better or worse. When a fragment uses this method, he can sometimes appear to be apathetic or indifferent, which MAY be the case, but many times, they are simply fascinated in ways that are difficult to describe on a daily basis. Scholars, and the Assimilative Overleaves, can lend this influence on a fragment. The Positive and Negative Poles are +Awe and –Apathy. This method of passive choice is helpful in situations where true surrender is important. This kind of surrender can mean a profound recognition in differentiating what you CAN control and what you just CANNOT. An example would be the awe and thrill of being caught in a rainstorm without any protection. Another may be in the throes of an illness that is terminal. In any case, this kind of surrender can be profoundly liberating. We note here that the older the soul, the less inclined it will be to remain with these basic defaulted influences as inclined by Role, Casting, and Overleaves, but he will learn to choose all methods as are appropriate to every occasion. The Inspirational methods of Choice are Impulsion and Compulsion, as we have mentioned in recent exchanges with you. To use Impulse as a means of choice means that you are able to assess situations, anticipate them, and make intuitive choices without necessarily having tangible evidence as to its impact. Servers, and the Ordinal Inspirational Overleaves, lend this influence on a fragment. Following Impulses means making choices based on primarily internal navigation, using “gut instincts”, “following your heart”, using intuition. This means of choice is good for times when a perpetual movement in the life is felt, but the path ahead is unclear. Using Impulses can get you in the “right place at the right time”, to find your Agreements, Karma, and generally synchronize your life to a more practical inspiration for you. The Positive and Negative Poles are +Enthusiasm and –Urgency. To use Compulsion as a means of choice means that you are able to navigate based on more pressured influences from within and with tangible feedback from external sources. Where Impulses are quiet and inviting, Compulsions are pressing and pushy. Compulsion is difficult to manage, if that compulsion leads to experiences that do not feel good, or are simply for escape. The healthy means of using Compulsion as a method of Choice is in realizing that a Compulsion is a broader message, or influence, that comes in as a means to seriously alter the life. In most cases, those who use Compulsion either find a repetitive means of escaping the messages, through addiction, for instance, or they create behavior disorders to short circuit the more useful aspects of Compulsion. Compulsions are to be used in circumstances, as we said, when the life is need of a great change, not necessarily as a means for daily decisions. Priests and the Cardinal Inspirational Overleaves lend influence in this direction. The Positive and Negative Poles are +Revolution and –Repetition. Creation and Maneuvering are the Expressive methods of Choice. Creation is the act of literally bringing into fruition the reality of your desire. This can be done through many mediums, such as visualization, dread, worry, anxiety, and beliefs. Creation is the method most useful when wanting to bring something into reality that has no evidence of being available at the time of wanting. Creation, of course, is an influence from the Artisan and Ordinal Expressive Overleaves. This method of Choice can truly seem magical, and the concept of “miracles” comes from this method in many cases. The Positive and Negative Poles are +Manifestation and –Meditation. Maneuvering is a method of choice for fragments who assume the honoring of all other creations, and one finds a means to incorporate those realities into one’s own. This is not necessarily passive, but it is definitely, highly interactive. Those who use this method are usually in positions of counseling, guiding, teaching, entertaining, etc., and as such, you can see the Sage and the Cardinal Expressive Overleaves have an influence here. The Positive and Negative Poles are +Anticipation and –Prejudice. The Action methods of Choice are, of course Active and Reactive. The Active method of Choice is the rearranging of your reality with what you have, making it into something more to your liking. It is a more authoritative, participatory, responsible means of bringing about changes. Action methods are used when what you have in your life is just in need of direction and arrangement. This method then relates to the King and the Cardinal Action Overleaves. The Positive and Negative Poles are +Management and –Exploitation. The Reactive method is the method of finding the stimulation from your reality eliciting responses from you, rather than you eliciting responses from it. This is a method used most when reality is acceptable, but in need of being sustained or “protected”. It is a method of insurance, whether the reality is healthy or not. This then relates to the Warrior and the Ordinal Action Overleaves. The Positive and Negative Poles are +Sensitivity and –Irascibility. Of course, there is much more, as usual, to elaborate on these methods of Choice, but we feel this is an acceptable introduction. Although you will always have the ability to choose any of these methods of choice, you can examine your own defaults by assessing the amount of influences in your own Essence and Personality Profile. Simply look at your Overleaves and the Axes they fall on, and relate them to the methods of Choice relative to that Axis. Looking at your Role, Goal, Mode, and Attitude can reveal your most common and comfortable methods of choice, which will have been used within their spectrums between Positive to Negative. Looking at your Primary Centering and Chief Features can reveal those defaulted methods of Choice that tend toward the negative poles.
  11. May 16, 2002 Troy Tolley, Channel You and your attitude [M_Entity] Hello to all of you. We are here. We understand the topic to be that of Attitudes as they are defined within our teaching. Of course, there are 7 Attitudes, as there are 7 of every other Overleaf in our system. The 7 Attitudes are the Neutral or Assimilative PRAGMATIST, the Inspirational Stoic and Spiritualist, the Expressional Skeptic and Idealist, and the Actional Cynic and Realist. The Attitudes are specifically your personal means to interpret reality. The Attitudes could easily be said to be The 7 Basic Philosophies, as much of what is our more complete system now has been found isolated in various teachings throughout the ages. Each Attitude can easily find a correlation of a philosophy, which can shed a great deal of light on your personal Attitude. The Attitude could be said to be the “pivot” or “hinge” within our Personality System around which all other facets of your Personality move. Because the Attitude is intrinsically linked to your Intellect, the Attitude can “make or break” your sense of peace, trust, wholeness, etc. Whether you are Intellectually Centered or not, you still have an Intellect, and that Intellect works hard to interpret and make sense of reality. So, too, does your Attitude. It will go a long way toward freeing you from the traps of the Attitude and Intellect if you understand that it is not necessarily “the point” to “make sense” of reality, because literally, it is the opposite: your senses MAKE reality. Though we say your Attitude “interprets” reality, it may be more effective to understand that your Attitude “filters” reality. Both are valid descriptions. Though an Attitude is far from an imposition, it CAN be a limitation if you find you are not able to function within your ;particular Attitude's full spectrum of use. It can easily be said that, from the absolute worst struggles, to the most trivial of frustrations, these experiences are directly a reflection of how you are using your Attitude. When your Attitude is in its Negative Pole, regardless of what that may be, you have determined that you have completed your need for input for your basic philosophical stance. When the Negative Pole of the Attitude is in control, reality loses its creativity and flexibility, and instead becomes a tangled mess that must be understood immediately, even if the means to do so have not even come to pass. We can speak generally of Attitudes because the basic experience is quite consistent; it is the HOW of it all that is different among them. For instance, an Idealist in the Negative Pole and a Cynic in the Negative Pole will both share the struggle of trying to understand something within a limitation of input, but the Idealist will “naively” bumble his way through, while the Cynic will use “denigration” to destroy anything outside his comprehension. In the case of the Cynic, we do not mean an attempt to literally destroy, but that the Cynic will actively fight to remove any contradictions from his determined perception. In the case of each Axis of Attitude, you will find when they are in the Negative Pole, the reaction of the Attitude is to eliminate the Positive Pole experiences. When the Stoic is “resigned,” he will use inspiration to lead others into resignation, to validate his own perceptions. The Spiritualist will use inspiration to impose his beliefs on others as strongly as possible, to remove the need for verifying his perceptions. The Skeptic will simply express strong suspicions, riling others into an insecure space of perception, to remove the need for investigation. The Idealist will naively take on lofty goals and intentions, either with or without awareness, setting himself up for failure, so as to remove the experience of coalescence, which is the bringing together of parts to make a whole. The Cynic will actively remove all that contradicts his own determined perception. The Realist will insist that her perceptions are based in fact, even against the strongest of feedback that she is inaccurate, so as to remove her from having to be Objective. In addition, the Pragmatist will continue doing things, thinking about things, expressing things, exactly as they have worked for her to her satisfaction, regardless of the fact that input is dictating that there are more practical ways for the same things. The reason the Negative Pole is so strongly interested in eliminating the Positive Pole experiences is because the Attitude is the “brother or sister” to the Chief Features. We speak of these traits with anthropomorphic descriptions, only for the sake of relating, but we do not wish for you to mistake this means of description as if these parts of you are a separate consciousness. We do not say that they are, nor do we imply that they are. Because of our limitation of time, we will quickly point out what we believe may be the most important concern for your understanding of the Attitudes. Since the Attitude can be your prison or your means to complete freedom, we believe that when you are struggling in any area of your life, the first place to look would be to your Attitude. In understanding your Attitude, you would clearly be able to see that you may be in the Negative Pole, but the fastest and most effective means to move yourself out of it, is simply to choose a different angle of perception. Since the Attitude, while in the Negative Pole, so intently seeks to remove the experience of the Positive Pole of your Attitude, the “trick” is to use the Positive Pole of the Attitude that shares your Axis. If the effort is made, within minutes your life can change; or at least your attitude toward it, which can then lead to changing your life. When the Spiritualist is lost in her Beliefs and continues to find she is blocked from real, fulfilling Verification of her perceptions, it can free her to “slide” to the Positive Pole of Stoicism, which would be Tranquility. When Belief is in control, there is usually a strong need to get others to share in the belief, even if you, yourself have not Verified its place in your life. When the Spiritualist slides to Tranquility, she relaxes and surrenders gently to her perceptions. This then allows her to Verify things for herself, instead of finding others to do it for her. On the other hand, the Stoic may have given up on his life, resigning, which is a passive stance to the life. If he were to slide to Verification, he would be able to find that much of what he has resigned himself to is not even valid anymore as an imposition. We may not be able to go through all of the Attitudes with examples, but we will note that the Pragmatist has the ability to slide to ANY of the other Attitudes as a means to free himself from Dogma. We will now take any questions you may have, so we can respond to you, rather than use your time teaching what may already be available in print. QUESTIONS [MDFSage_Val] Can you describe a “spectrum of use” for an Idealist, or is this more an individual fragment thing/issue? [M_Entity] An Idealist lives within the spectrum of being “cursed” and “blessed” with the constant want for improvement. The Idealist has such a wider vision of most things that he can see patterns where others cannot. Within those patterns, he can also see how they can be improved, manipulated, or altered for the better. The struggle then comes from the Idealist being able to see the big picture, but not putting the effort into defining the STEPS it will take to get there. Therein lies the spectrum from Naivety to Coalescence. An Idealist can see that he has potential to run a marathon, but instead of taking the steps to prepare, he simply, naively runs in the marathon, until he collapses from the pain he could have avoided. [Suzanne] Michael, How would be best for an idealist & a spiritualist to relate to each other, one expresses while the other inspires? [M_Entity] The Spiritualist will always interpret relationships in terms of how inspiring they are, while the Idealist will interpret the relationships in terms of how much improvement is coming from them. [Suzanne] Rather interesting, as it can compliment. [M_Entity] If the Spiritualist feels her relationships are not inspiring, or that she is not inspiring, she will lose interest. The Idealist must feel as if the relationships are somehow improving each other, or he will feel they are not worth it. [Suzanne] Thank you, I understand better now [M_Entity] We are using pronouns randomly, for the sake of grammar. We are not intending anything to be specifically assigned to a gender. [Suzanne] Understood that too, thanks. [M_Entity] The Spiritualist could be said to be “cursed” and “blessed” with the philosophy that everything has potential. Within that spectrum, you will find the experiences ranging from blind faith or belief to valid verification of those potentials. We will point out one last point for your consideration before concluding tonight. When you are in the Negative Pole of your Attitude, you may find you are behaving more and more like the Attitude sharing your Axis, or attracting, or attracted to, those who share your Axis. This is your inherent move toward balance in perception and even if this is done without awareness, it manages, at least, to continue to give the option of choosing how you interpret your reality. So, an Idealist may tend to be very critical and skeptical as a means to balance his Idealism; the Spiritualist may find she is becoming less and less emotional and more passive as she seeks balance for her Beliefs. Today we are asked to speak of the micro versions of you that make up what you consider to be "you." There is not a single form of consciousness, in a body, or outside of a body, that is not "made up" of smaller parts, if you will. There is no "beginning" or "end" to this that we can see. We know there must be, but we have not found it, nor have we seen it. There is a kind of fractal beauty in this structure of existence, and "we" are one part of that. By extension, there is not a single one of you who are not part of something larger in context. This subject is far too vast to cover in one sitting, but a valid teaching will always strive to help one to understand the whole that is greater than the sum of the parts, while helping to understand those parts. Today we will speak only of that which makes up your existence unique to being extant. However, your Essence is also a complex structure that is built from parts. It is not merely a sphere that moves from one body to the next. It is an ever-evolving geometry that grows in complexity and beauty as experiences are gained. The same is true of "you" as a Personality and body. Understanding the dynamics of the parts that are you may not change a lot in terms of how you live, but understanding those parts can help you to feel a wholeness, an embrace, a sense of dynamic aliveness that is not simply about getting through the day. You are a complex and beautiful ecosystem of existence. How you feel about those parts makes a difference in how those parts function together as you. The health of one's body is definitely affected by material input, such as healthy or damaging diet, exercise or strain, psychological balance or stress, etc., but it is also affected by "everything" that is you, including your thoughts and feelings. WELLNESS is always directly affected by all of you and how you feel about you. ILLNESS is often a byproduct of you and how you feel about you, but not always. Illness, like any other form of scathing, can come simply because you crossed paths with it. It is simply a part of the obstacles of the Physical Plane. So while illness can be linked directly to one's choices, and intellectual and emotional processes, it is not always the case. You can get sick just because bodies can get sick. We differentiate WELLNESS from ILLNESS here because you can control your Wellness, but not always your Illness. There are many who are Ill, but uphold their Wellness. Wellness is the cohesion of the parts that make up the greater sum that is you. There are many who discover illness and there is no reversing this, leading to death, but this does not mean wellness was missing. Illness does not mean one has done something wrong, and health does not mean one is doing something right. So, the first thing we would suggest for all of our students is to focus on WELLNESS. The wholeness of you, the cohesion and inclusion of all that is you, including illness, forgetting, depression, craving, loving, hating, frustration, joy, etc., ALL of it is you. The more this truth is understood, the more one's wellness increases so that choices can be made that better serve wellness. For example, you may be frustrated and angry, but that is not ALL THAT YOU ARE. But accepting that you are frustrated and angry frees you to include the options for effectiveness and creativity. Being frustrated and angry is not the same thing as being permanently ineffective and incapable of creative problem solving. Focus on your Wellness, your greatest state of inclusion, and this is Love. This helps every part of your Being, both in terms that are limited to biology and being extant, and in terms of existence as consciousness. To return to the more specific discussion of "you" as a collection of parts, we will start with how your body is built in ways that reflect the awesome structure of the universe. Each of you as bodies can be said to be a complex organism that is built from 7 tiers that range from the simple to the wholeness that is complexity. "YOU" exist as YOU because of a vast collection of parts that work together to allow for your existence as consciousness in the media of matter. No matter what your beliefs, your ideologies, your position, your state of mind, your condition, your choices, you cannot escape that you are built from from these 7 tiers: ATOMS, MOLECULES, CELLS, TISSUES, ORGANS, SYSTEMS, and finally, the whole that is the ORGANISM. On the most basic of these tiers, it is the SERVER TIER, the Atoms. In the same way that existence could not be sustained as a Design without Servers, neither could existence in material form. Atoms are not Servers, of course, but this layer of existence in form correlates to the entire concept of Servers. The Artisan Tier is how those Atoms come together. The multitude of combinations of Atoms that become Molecules is the Artisan tier of existence in form. Molecules form into Cells that become the most basic functions and protections of an Organism. This is the Warrior tier of existence in Form. Cells create cohesive networks of Tissue that reflects the Scholar tier of existence in form. Without the vast variations of arrangements that can come from Tissue, there would not be Organs, which run the communication and dissemination systems of the Organism: the Sage tier. Organ Systems are the sympathetic and empathetic combinations of Organs working together for the benefit of the whole, or large parts of the whole. This is the Priest tier. And the wholeness that comes to be the entirety, the wholeness that is greater than the sum of its parts, is the King tier. This is where consciousness comes in, and allows for some form of choice to make a difference over all other tiers, either passively or actively. This is the Organism. We wish to clarify here that your own Role or Casting does not give some hidden clue to which tier you relate to the most, or control the most in your body. The tiers we describe are correlations, but nothing more. These tiers are a reflection of the awesome order of the universe, and how it functions from the greatest contexts to the most minute. Before we continue, we will open the floor here for questions or comments on what has been shared so far. AnnaElisa: Hello, Michael! Autoimmune diseases, in which the body attacks its own organs/parts, are becoming more and more common. What makes the body attack itself and, apart from eating right and trying to live as healthy as possible in order to keep the antibodies down, what message do autoimmune disorders carry, if any, to us as individuals and as a community, and how can one learn to live with them or confront them on a deeper level? Thanks! MEntity: Nearly all autoimmune diseases are a result of chronic self-esteem issues. In the same way that the psyche of the individual will "attack" itself in constant destructive criticism, dislike, disgust, and loathing of the self, repulsion of the self, anger at not being like an ideal, eventually take a toll. AnnH: Funny how that happens. MEntity: The programming of the various lower tiers begins to follow the commands of the greater tier. For those who accepted any imprinting of self-loathing from media, caretakers, peers, or even as part of the social contract of false humility, autoimmune issues can develop. Currently, the most prevalent Chief Features among humanity's members are Arrogance and Self-deprecation, the two Chief Features most directly linked to self-esteem. Even if one does not have these Chief Features, the paradigm almost insists that you comply as a part of the social contract of protecting one's vulnerability and never allowing for incompetence or failure. You must hide who you are in some way, and only display your successes. LadTheHun: Facebook! MEntity: This has been in effect for a long time because of the Young Soul paradigm, but this is shifting. The move toward Martyrdom and Impatience will bring a different wave of ailments. TyroneT: How much does Michael have insight on the physical plane bodies and organisms and how consciousness interact with them? TyroneT: As in, what's the limit to their knowledge? TyroneT: (or what can be channeled) TyroneT: In future sessions, I'd like to delve deeply into the mechanisms of how consciousness interacts with our organic matter, but I don't know how detailed Troy can get. TyroneT: If it has to do with his working knowledge and it's possible to extend or help this, I'd like to know how (i.e. can maybe a working group's akashic knowledge help with that? or a scholar's intentional global akashic uploading) MEntity: Troy has no considerable limits in that regard. His limitations would come in the form of terminology that may relate to the medical field, or in terminology that could describe something more succinctly than a long, roundabout description. Sometimes we have to describe what could otherwise have been summed up in one term, if the limitation were not present. A simplistic example might be if we wished to convey the term "fuel" in regard to a discussion about automobiles, but had to use "the liquid that runs through the system that helps the engine move the wheels." Beyond this, we would have to say, we do not know what our limits are, or what Troy's limits are, until the questions have been asked. If one is willing to work around any discovered limitations, then they can almost always be worked around in some way. GeraldineB: I'm just making sure by requesting further explanation during this session for all of the colonies of various viruses and bacteria which inhabit our bodies and act in both what we deem to be beneficial or non-beneficial ways. So, this isn't really a Q -- just a request. MEntity: Yes, we will move into that area next. To continue... In terms of your complex colonial organism that is "you," there is a universe of existence within you that is just as much "you" as any of the tiers. While the condition and state of each tier can make a great difference in one's experience of the body, and affect how you make choices, it is on the microbial level that the effects move into the whole that is the Personality and its behaviors. We will include viruses, bacteria, fungi, and parasites in this. Viruses represent a kind of dimension of you that deals with the reprogramming of cells, most often in destructive ways. Though a virus can be harnessed for benefit, the virus tends to be detrimental in effect. Viruses correlate to the Inspirational Axis and tend to reflect any imbalances that one is addressing related to Inspiration and Emotion. The "common cold" is a direct and readily available example of this, in that when one does not process grief, sadness, disappointment, etc., it can show up as a "cold." The reason we correlate Viruses to the Inspirational Axis is because they often function similar to how Priests and Servers must function as a means to help one to deal with issues that have been resisted, either in personal terms or even social terms. So the concept of Viruses is reflected in greater contexts, as well, such as religion being a social virus. Bacteria would relate to the Action Axis, functioning in both effective beneficial ways and in destructive ways, all in ways that are reflected by the poles of the Roles on that Axis. Bacteria can be tyrannical and coercive, or help lead wellness and persuade beneficial choices. Of the various microbes, bacteria are the most directly relevant in terms of how the Personality functions as a baseline. The healthier one's ecosystem of bacteria, the more enthusiastic, energetic, and motivated an individual. The more imbalanced one's ecosystem of bacteria, the more agitation, anxiousness, depression, and addictiveness. Bacteria are reflected in society in terms of how groups work together or against one another in their attempts to control, influence, and bring change. Fungi would be the Expressive of the microbes, producing spores that continue to propagate and disseminate. As with Expression Axis, this can come in the form of propagation and dissemination for the sake of itself, or for the benefit of all involved. Parasites would fall into the Assimilation Axis as this can be an umbrella term to include any of the other categories. The parasitic nature of all microbes allows for their sustained existence, "for better or worse" for the host. This subject cannot be fully explored in one exchange, but what we have shared today can help each of you to consider the dimensions of yourself that exist right here, right now, that carry your consciousness. You are not just what existed before and after this incarnation, but you exist as an entire ecosystem of consciousness in various forms. This microbial world contributes to your navigation in terms of DIET, SOCIAL EXCHANGES, STRESS, and FUNCTIONS OF THE BODY. You exist as a complex organism, that hosts other organisms, and that exists as one part of an even larger complex organism. You are atoms, molecules, cells, tissues, organs, systems, and the entirety of these things as the complex organism. You are not just soul, not just Essence, not just Personality. You will live and die just fine without ever considering these other dimensions of existence as "you," but if you choose to explore these as a means of loving the self, as a means of bring cohesion to the parts that are you, and as a means of increasing your wellness, it is all there for you to consider.   13. August 17, 2000 Troy Tolley, Channel Open Floor [Michael_Entity] We understand we will start with your Energy Report. This will cover the weeks from the 19th through the 1st. First we will comment that the past weekend was a rather powerful energy flux for many of you, particularly on Sunday. If you did not notice anything, this is nothing to be concerned about. Many of you, though, experienced something similar to an “energy wash.” For those participating in that “wave,” this could have been a slow accumulation or you may have been “hit” rather hard. This “wash” was not uncommon. It is a processing of parallel shifts to date. After many Parallel shifts, sometimes there tends to be what might be considered residual plans, ideas, hopes, etc., that have long begun to be fulfilled in other parallels. When an assessment occurs, which it did over the past week within the first three Cadres of your Energy Ring, a “fresh” alignment occurs similar to a “domino affect”; an alignment among Entity and Cadre Members. There are many ways to look at it, but it is a purging. This is sometimes laced with depression and grief for the first day, even preoccupation with your mortality. Then the stronger, more focused motivation, inspiration, and feelings set in. This then sets up what the next couple of weeks are about. Though some of you may not have experienced what we just described, most of you still are processing your Intellect and Attitudes toward your current life. That is what this “season” is about in general. For the next two weeks, the 19th through the 1st, this appears to be energy moving through Sentience that will allow a respite from your personal Chief Features. Every year there is an opportunity at some point, a window, that allows the Personality to have a “break,” an ability to experience perception without Chief Feature. The next two weeks appear to be that window. This does not mean you are not going to experience your fears or Chief Features, simply that you are in a time frame that will allow you experience the enhanced potential of alleviation from Chief Feature, if you consciously choose that. In fact, you may be highly exposed to your Chief Features, but the energy available will allow you higher consciousness in alleviating their grip. We will suggest a few things that will help, if you choose to experiment. Over the next couple of weeks you can use your body as a tool in this alleviation. You can create any physical cue you find to be a reminder, but we will suggest simple cues for each Axis. These are to be used in any single moment when you “photograph” yourself in the potential throes of Chief Feature. For Sages and Artisans, the physical cue to help you dissolve a moment of Chief Feature, is to gently SMILE. Literally Smile and generate internally a humor in the moment, an affection for your “trickster.” Smile, feel it move through your centers, and then proceed. We state here that this is not a solution, it is a tool. When the Sages and Artisans can see their Fears as children simply demanding attention, they can smile, “wink” internally to acknowledge the distraction, and affectionately “scoot” the Chief Feature on. Remember times when you, yourself, were a nuisance, but merely sought acknowledgment. For Warriors and Kings, we suggest a moment to bring your attention to your POSTURE. Kings and Warriors are either too rigid while in the throes of Chief Feature, or they are wearing down and slumping, protecting the Moving Center. In your moment, simply adjust your Posture. Just for a moment, sit up straight, feel yourself return to a place of empowerment, or relax, sigh out a relief and just let your posture go. When Warriors and Kings can see their Fears as servants and protectors that are overworking or without direction, they can easily transform them. Remember times when you became overbearing in your impact on someone, but merely sought to do what you thought was “right”. Priests and Servers can use the physical cue of taking their palms and gently resting their face in them, spreading the palms and pulling the hands back as if to wash the face. Do this gently and with a conscious realization that you were hiding. This symbolic gesture will literally have the potential to remove a layer of energy you carried as a mask of strength. If you are in public, using one hand, caressing one cheek then the other, as if you are wiping away a spider web, can do a great deal in reminding you that you are “human.” If Priests and Servers can see their Fears as Healed Events that have overstayed their welcome, they can encourage a release of them, making a decision that it is not necessary to nurture or uphold these things that were once important. Remember times when you, yourself, had completed a relationship in someone’s life, knowing it was time to “move on”. Many Priest and Servers hang on to fears because they assume their release will make them lose a part of their identity. Your physical cues, Priests/Servers, go a long way in reminding you that you have an updated identity to fulfill. Scholars, your physical cue appears to be linked to two body parts, your arms and your stomach. When in the throes of your Chief Feature, we suggest making an effort to unfold your arms. This will help you feel more like a participant than an “outsider.” We also suggest taking a moment to place on palm on your stomach, one on over your Heart. In that moment, simply remind yourself, “I am alive.” Scholars can alleviate many of their fears by seeing the Fears as navigational tools, not obstacles. Some Scholars can then allow the Fears to be indications as to what they are studying next, or an indication of what they are least interested in studying and let that go. Remember times when you, yourself, have overpowered a person with your “information” without realizing the need for it was unnecessary or out of context. Your fears behave similarly in their “informing” you. All of the physical cues can be handy to any Role, but we believe these shared here are helpful specifically. We encourage you to discern this for yourselves. We will conclude this topic. We will now open for questions. [ludmila] Many of us will be meeting up in NYC in a few weeks. Were we part of the Alexandrian Mystery School, or some other study group, and if so what is the agenda for our meeting up with each other at this time? Your gathering is based on your search for your Entity Members. It is part of your paths as Older Souls and many of you are ready. We could say your only agenda is in validating what many of you have experienced as Essence Recognition. This will catapult many of you into a greater acceptance of self and your individual paths. Some of you are already aware of this, but your contact with each other, even electronically, is changing you. If you choose, trust the embrace of your old friends. [Az61] I am wondering about the sunken Russian Nuclear submarine, the men aboard, etc. I get the feeling that this incident has to do with Russia’s collective evolution after communist rule. Can you comment on it? [Michael_Entity] This event appears to have two levels/angles since one was karmic while the other symbolic. Karmically, this was a group of fragments choosing this as a means to balance previous ship sinking Karma. Nearly all involved have created deaths due to drowning an anonymous vessel. The symbolic level is in the humbling of the search and rescue efforts to require an admission of need for help. This helps move maturity in many directions. As we have said, this period of time recently has been a period of time to ASK for help. It is part of a global experience. This sinking symbolized this to a great degree for many. [Jan] What is the task phrase of Entity 3 in Cadre 1. Also what are the positive and negative poles of Entity 3 (Cadre 1). [Michael_Entity] It could be described that the Task of Entity 3 in your Cadre is “to present alternative angles on reality.” The Positive and Negative Poles of any Entity 3 are +Enterprise and -Versatility. These poles indicate the ability of Entity 3’s position within the Cadre to manifest cohesively any imaginative idea or to manifest them in pieces without depth. Imagine the differences between a complete stage production vs a variety show with no discernible theme. Entity 3’s tend to leave the most records of a civilization behind. [Dewliet] Would Michael please comment on occurrences in other parallels that have an impact on my life now, and the manifestation of such impact? [Michael_Entity] Parallels without exception never impact another Parallel, except on an informational level. Random impact would defeat their point. What can occur though is a search, either done specifically as Personality using techniques for viewing the parallels, or on an Essence Level. This search, or openness, to the various Parallels can then be bridged into making an impact on you. The only way they impact you is through your search though, never as a “surprise” or random bleedthrough. Some of you are very open to your Parallels and have many conscious/unconscious receptors “checking them out” all the time. This still does not mean they impact you on their own, it simply means you are bridging the “gap” and allowing the affect based on information and choice “here”. In the case of the “washing” we spoke of earlier, that was not an indication of other parallels impacting you, but of THIS parallel’s comprehension of paths not chosen. This is occurring with you, too. This forum is not conducive to exploring your personal parallels, but we can work with you individually or when this forum is used for that topic specifically. [MaryBV] Could Michael please expand a bit on the information available about Entity 01, Cadre 01? Perhaps a bit more information on the agreements Terri has with her entity mates on the list, a bit more information on the “rift” in the She-hulks and what the “fight” is all about, and why re there no other Kings around from the entity? [Michael_Entity] In general, the fragment known as Terri is entertainingly creating a context to explore the strengths of being female and being “strong.” She will play out many instances where her private and public life will clearly be about serious decisions centered on her personal strength in the context of a woman. This is inspiring to many fellow Entity Mates and allows dialogue, support, camaraderie, and community to evolve into a definitely tangible space, internally and externally. There are too many individual Agreements to cover within this forum and many are quite personal and “private.” We will leave her discovery and choice to act on them to her. There is no real “fight” within Entity One, merely a rift in alignment. Some of Entity One is recovering from lives chosen that created a great deal of emotional pain in other lives. That part of the Entity is spending a great deal of this life healing and recovering, sometimes manifested in territorial and reactive ways, as those who were harmed are interacted with. Another part of the Entity, those you relate to, have a different rate of comprehension and healing, therefore the work of communion and reunion can occur more fluidly. As for the Kings, they will come. They are not missing. We have seen two more Kings looking at your list, females. We believe they will introduce themselves quite clearly on their own. [Note: Yes, Barbara/Bobbie is a King.] [Momhawk] Relating back to the E-report. I definitely got ‘hit’ last Sunday (very interesting info too btw…thank you :-)…Got hit 4th, 5th and 6th chakras, ie; bronchitis, sore throat, and head cold, all at once. Michael has stated that colds are often fear related. What ‘core’ or ‘central’ fear is this reflecting that I may be ‘dealing with’ currently? [Michael_Entity] This is not about Fear in this case, it is about mourning. Considering the amount of externalized energy you have expended toward the expectation of several changes, you finally allowed the energy to just move down to a tangible level to handle the mourning. There were many versions of you being explored over the past few months. Many of those “selves” will not manifest in “this” reality. You know this. In that knowing, there is mourning in the recognition of unmet expectations and paths that will simply not “fit” in right now. Your physical symptoms are your process of the past. We suggest you to allow your move forward be freed from the distractions of what has “gone wrong” in the past. Let your body work through this all, if you choose to, and trust that process. On your daily level then, approach ONE thing with enthusiasm and renewed inspiration. Just choose one thing. Allow yourself to be concerned all you want about many things, but include at least one thing that you will simply “know” will work out. Input all that is obviously necessary for that one thing, but “know” that whatever course it takes, you have decided it will be the “right” one, no matter what the expectation. We will close here. We will begin with a quick Energy Report for the weeks between March 2 through March 15. We had spoken of some “awe-inspiring” event, either private or public, that seemed to be generating for the Older Souls on the planet. We believed to this to have had some root in manifesting in February, but we do not see that this came to pass. We can NEVER predict an event; we can only share what we see as probabilities and even the highest probabilities are not to be relied upon, merely used as a guide. Because of the vague quality of this event and its potentially different meanings for each Older Soul, this makes it more difficult to gauge. At this point, we will merely point out that what we had seen as a probability, still is, but we can only say the time frame has extended for its manifestation. It is significant enough that many of you will easily report that something either privately, independently, OR something publicly, struck you with a moving sense of awe. We believe you will know that has happened synchronistically when several of you report similar experiences to each other. On other, more common levels, the energy in general seems stable and the focus is moving toward literally, the weather. Drastic shifts in temperature and climate seem to be the distraction over the next few weeks. As we have shared before, in other exchanges, the weather is directly linked to the basic, shared emotional state of a population. That emotional climate is then reflected in the weather. The delays in effect are varying from geographical location to geographical location, and population to population, but in general, the weather shows the emotional climate of the previous 3 months. In the United States, the Emotional climate of the West is usually around 6 months behind in the weather, while the East is sometimes less than 30 days. We will remind you, but will elaborate more in our next exchange, that the shared energy has so far been focused on the implementation of the GOAL for the year. As the season of Spring moves closer, a shift toward the MODE may alter many fragment's contextual focus. When we say the focus has been on the GOAL, we mean that the shared context has been about taking action, asking questions about what to DO, making changes in directions and plans, determining how what you are doing fits with what others are doing. When the shift of focus comes to the Mode, the context will be more about intimacy and relationships. We will conclude the Energy Report. We would like to note that included in the Energy of the planet at this time is a great deal of unrest from obvious areas and mentalities, but to report every potential disaster or attack would be useless to most of our students. We do not see a point in emphasizing the dangers of the Physical Plane in this context. We do not have to remind you that this time frame is not an easy one, nor a particularly peaceful one, in general. Attacks will happen. That is as useful as we can be in that area. We will now take questions. We understand this is in Open Floor evening, though we will also respond to questions about the energy report. [SusanSF] As to our community I’m sensing the same. A hidden has been uncovered that I want to respond compassionately. This is not a personal but a community I would like clarification on for All of us. It came from a validation from the astral dream time that could affect us All. [M_Entity] And what is your question, Susan? [SusanSF] Do I do anything about it or just let it ride? Or I can pass on to the next in queue. [M_Entity] Though we are not completely clear on your question, we do think you are referring to a phenomenon that is occurring for many of the Older Souls, which is an exploration of many potential catastrophes and disasters as they may manifest for people. [SusanSF] In our community…. [M_Entity] For some, the experiences are being taken literally as signs of potential disaster. This may or may not be true. We can only say that part of the evolution of an Older Soul is in learning to interpret his/her emotional realm and astral experiences in ways that are applicable to the life. In short, it is your choice in what to do with what you know. In most instances where a prophecy is valid, any verbal sharing of that knowledge is rarely heeded. Until intuition and dreams are commonly understood, and alarmists stop predicting catastrophes each month, most will not hear even the most founded warnings. [ludmila] What can you tell us about our individual guides and angels? Do they have overleaves and are they our discarnate ET's or TC's? [M_Entity] Guides do not have Overleaves. Unless you are referring to a Physical Plane Guide, such as a Tour Director, which we believe you do not mean. We do not differentiate between “angels” and “guides,” in terms of nonphysical support and assistance. Most of your more intimate and “felt” presences of Guidance do tend to come primarily from discarnate Entity Mates, Cadence Members, Essence Twins, Task Companions, and Cadre Mates. [ludmila] What is a tour director? [M_Entity] We would define a “tour director” as a human being in a position to direct a group of fragments through a popular setting, pointing out its history, features, and entertainment, etc. In general, ALL fragments have at least 3 nonphysical Guides. [MaryBV] Could Michael please tell me what percentage of Cadre 1, entity 1 is cycled off? Of those remaining on the physical plane, what is the average soul age? [M_Entity] We see currently that 23% of Cadre One, Entity One is Cycled Off. The average Soul Age is 3rd Old. We did not include those who are Cycled off in that average, though we did include those who are not extant, but still within the cycles of incarnation. [kathryn41] (If this is too personal, I will withdraw the question) Four of us in this community are questioning whether we are a working quadrate. We wish to know how best to determine if this is so, how to validate our relationships with each other, and, if we are a quadrate, how to gain a more a conscious awareness of our project. [M_Entity] We encourage you to assume you are a Quadrate. Following the draw to work or socialize in a certain group is where your answer lies. Within that exploration, your Tasks will become evident. The validation can be done internally and externally. Internal validation is simply that you have determined it is true; there is no need to “test” that knowing. External validation would be if the other fragments in the group agree with your perception and knowing. [SusanSF] Could that include true study, besides true work then? [M_Entity] True Validation includes BOTH internal and external. The way to bring to light the combined goal of the Quadrate is simply to determine if you share a common interest and project at all. Whoever appears to have been the initiation behind the group would share what she believes are valid aspirations for that group. Knowledge will, by default, step in to refine those ideas and aspirations. In response to Susan's sub-question: The “Trues” that support the Life Task/True Work would inherently be included, though not necessarily as obviously. [JNelson] What is guilt? [M_Entity] Guilt is pointless self-punishment. It is entirely based in Chief Feature. There are 7 Guilts, then, linked to each Chief Feature. It is a prolonged version of “learning a lesson.” We have shared extensively on this subject and Troy will include in this transcript a copy of our deeper treatment of that subject. [Talyn] Do our discarnate spirit guides ever “resign or hand us off” to a new guide during a single incarnation or lifetime? As in a prearranged “agreement” on the other side? Particularly if our task companions this lifetime are discarnate guides? [M_Entity] We would not describe a Guide as “handing you off” to another Guide, but there are Guides who are temporary, and Guides who are “permanent” for the life of the Fragment. Each Fragment has at least the 3 Guides permanently for the life. The three Guides are specifically related to the Centers/Axes. Each working with that element of that Fragment's life, such as the EMOTIONAL/Higher EMOTIONAL Guide, the INTELLECTUAL/Higher INTELLECTUAL, etc. [Talyn] So it would not be totally unusual to sense the presence of a newly discarnate recently deceased guide? [M_Entity] It is fairly unusual for a recently deceased Fragment to become a Guide, though it does happen, of course. In most cases, that which “feels” like a Guide is merely the etheric presence of the Personality remaining attached to the relative or friend as a means to help comfort in both directions. That is part of the process of the 7th Internal Monad. The successful completion of the 7th Internal Monad is not merely in dying; it is in comprehending the extended impact on those who were attached to that Personality. [LisaC] Is there anything in particular that Michael would like to impart to us here now, other than the e-report? (kind of a just-for-fun question ;-) [M_Entity] No. Though we make ourselves available as a teacher and share in high interactivity, we never solicit or determine a topic or “impart” without your questioning to generate the exchange. We have a lot to share; we have a lot to teach, and all of the questions have not been asked, but we have nothing personally to impart. [Val] Healing: I believe we all have the power to heal ourselves & others, physical and spiritual (Buddha, Jesus etc) many say they heal in the name of religious figures can you comment on this, and on what would you recommend to us in order to succeed in healing ourselves and others: from Mike [M_Entity] “Religious Figures” give “permission” to a Fragment to use energy that is easily available already. That method helps a fragment “call on” the healing energy of the Higher Moving energy (Buddha) or Higher Emotional (Christ), both linked to the theme of the Logos taught through the Manifestations of the Infinite Soul in your example. Because most Fragments believe deeply that they are less-than, it makes sense to call upon a “higher power” for use of energy in healing. In truth, that energy, however accessed, will always be from the source of your own Essence. The greatest method of healing, in terms of channeling a specific energy, has been for Older Souls to think in terms of RESONATION, not “sending” energy to another. Creating a sustained resonance of healing gives the fragment focused upon an opportunity to align their own energy with that resonance. Those who are sensitive enough can sense in another where the energy is blocked or inhibited, can then generate a resonance for the ill one, and allow that Fragment to use it as needed. We remind you that not all illnesses and disease are necessarily interested in being “healed” by the common standards. There are beautiful experiences for a soul in many sicknesses and diseases. Knowing this, a form of healing can sometimes NOT be about alleviating the illness, but discussing and comprehending the impact of that illness. [sam-nemo] How can we attract guides, people or entities with similar goals to ours? [M_Entity] There are parts of the life in which the Personality manages, and parts in which Essence manages. “Attracting” Fragments, physical or nonphysical, is managed by Essence. Personality need only communicate to Essence if there is a particular interest determined. Communicating to Essence is as simple as thinking. If you choose to be clearer, set aside time before and/or after sleep to softly communicate to Essence what you seek. Essence has a limited “view” of the lifetime, and without the conscious input from Personality, the lifetime can be in agreement with or against the wishes of a Personality. When Personality is clear in what it wants, or seeks to attract, Essence is there. We will conclude here, then. Good night.
  15. [Excerpt from POF on May 1, 2011. Permission was granted to post the student content in the library.] [Martha] Self destruction is my primary CF and self deprecation is my secondary. Can you tell me when my primary CF was settled on and its status today? I don't feel too self destructive these days. [Michael_Entity] Self-destruction is one of the more insidious of the Chief Features, and does not always show up as so obvious, especially in the Older cycles. In your case, the fear of worthlessness was planted in the early teens, but quickly countered by a dive into self-expression and self-confidence. It was not until the relationship between the self and the body started to come into question did the issues of worth come back into focus. While you may not be self-destructive in any obvious sense, it could be said that you still fear that you, particularly as a body, are worthless. However, it is not in the fear that any problem arises, but in how one handles that fear. [Martha] I think the difference between that and self-dep may be blurry, or they work together [Michael_Entity] In your case, you are doing Good Work. You are turning all issues related to your fears into motivations that are generating worth and self-esteem in the long run. All Chief Features dovetail “nicely” together so that they play off of each other. However, Self-deprecation is quite different from Self-destruction, in that Self-deprecation is rooted in fears related to inspiration and Self-destruction is rooted in fears related to expression. [Martha] I don't think I quite get the distinction. [Michael_Entity] In other words: Self-deprecation is an internal standard that, when not met, inhibits or removes self nurturing and compassion, whereas Self-destruction tends to be an external standard that, when not met, inhibits enthusiasm and self-expression.
  16. Material obtained by Geraldine during a private session on March 16, 2010. [QUESTION] How do we let go of judging others? I try so hard not to have those "He is so..." "She is such a ..." thoughts, but they pop in uninvited, like little snarky gremlins. I know that I am doing it and breathe and release the thoughts, but it is like my mind pops back and again says, "Yes, but she IS a ..." [Michael Entity] One cannot "let go" of judging others. It is a natural part of Being. This is why we describe one of the Chief Negative Features as being "fear of judgment." It is not judgment that is the issue or obstacle, but the fear of it. However, one can learn to manage judgment to be a tool and not just a form of entertainment or defense. Judgment is an important part of any sentient being's form of navigation through life. This is one way to help with the problem of judging unnecessarily: to ask if it is helping you to navigate, or if it's just entertaining you or defending you. We use the word "entertain" specifically here, because however uncomfortable or negative one would like to think of those "snarky gremlins," they are often purely for entertainment, much in the same way a cat will hone its hunting skills by swatting at anything moving. Judgment is a SKILL. It requires practice. Most of you practice by entertaining yourselves through judgments of others and of things, but those judgments are not a form of navigation anymore than the swatting cat is actually hunting. Seeing those judgments for what they are can help you to use the skill more effectively when applied as a form of navigation. You are taught that it is wrong to judge and that it is unhealthy, bad, etc, but as with many natural, beneficial elements of life, the problem lies more in the misunderstanding and misuses than in the element, itself. Fighting judgment as if it is bad only complicates the problem of developing the skill to be of benefit to you and others. For most, you are taught that it is wrong to judge because it is not your right, and if you develop the skill of judgment, then your skills of discernment and validation are benefited, and most institutions and religions can do quite fine without your fine-tuned skills of discernment. In addition to this complication of misjudgment, we have yet to see a person be able to "stop judging" without actually using judgment to judge the process. What we would suggest for those who wish to develop the skill of judgment is to simply clarify where that judgment falls in terms of its usefulness: Navigation, Entertainment, or Defense. Making a mental check mark next to the judgment against the mismatched colors of a woman entering the coffee shop as being entertaining can be helpful. Making a mental check mark alongside the judgments against a person that are voiced with intent to hurt as being a form of defense can be helpful. Making a mental check mark next to the judgments that allow you to maneuver your way out of difficult situations as a form of navigation can be quite helpful. Using your judgments to help refine and define your judgments will help you to build it as a skill, but using judgment as a way to suppress your judgments will only enforce the wriggling "gremlins" that do not disappear simply because you judge yourself.
  17. March 2, 2000 Troy Tolley, Channel Conscious Connection to Essence 3 of 3 Note: This series begins with Michael Speaks -- Conscious Connection to Essence (1 of 3) [Michael_Entity] Hello to all. We are here. One moment. In our sharing with you our various perspectives of what is and isn’t being conscious of Essence, we believe a practical examination of each Essence Role would be beneficial. In our examination we will share what we perceive are the Maya (or Great Lesson) of that particular role and a more ‘organic’ approach to determining what might be considered rejection of Essence or what might be considered acceptance of Essence. We will note here that the positive and negative poles of the Essence ARE NOT indications of being conscious or accepting of Essence. A fragment in the Negative Poles is just as potentially “in Essence” as a fragment in the positive poles, at least in terms of experiencing its life. What we have sought to exchange with you is what it means to reject Essence or accept Essence as part of your primary being. Those who reject Essence are in deep isolation and a myriad of other traumatic or deteriorating experiences, regardless of how together their life appears or how wonderful their work and relationships and successes are. Those who are accepting and conscious of Essence usually have the enthusiasm to ‘make the best of everything’, even in the midst of what ‘should’ be devastating. Poverty, drama, accidents, horror are NOT signs of disconnection from Essence, they are merely experiences. A positive pole role can still be at its apparent ‘best’ yet still be disconnected from Essence. A negative pole role can be as difficult and trying as expected, and be conscious. The keys are in the act of Decisions and CHOICES. In the moments of your darkest despair, if you can “look up” and recognize that this space is simply where you are at the moment, even if you seek no resolution beyond that realization, half of your battle is completed. When you say “yes, this is where I am right now, I know I could do something but I do not feel like it right now”, you have granted yourself an open door to Essence. Acknowledging your state of mind, your resistance, your struggles, etc. are in that very moment your decision and choice to allow or change, you become immediately centered and present, regardless of your choice in either direction. This will immediately and in that moment connect you consciously to Essence. This does not mean your mood or situation will magically remove itself from your life, but you have opened your world and option for greater probabilities by that single choice, a millionfold. Besides your initial acknowledgment that you may have dropped your connection to Essence, we will say that the most powerful and profound choice you can make next is to ASK FOR HELP. The body is not designed to sustain animation and life without connection to Essence for any extended period of time once sentience has moved in. We want to note at this point that there is no REAL disconnection from Essence; we merely use these terms for convenience, even the term ‘rejection’ is inaccurate in light of the truth, but these terms capture the experience and we will continue to use them with this understanding. We will begin now with each Essence, but first, we will pause for a few questions, if there are any, about what we have shared thus far. [nemo999] What are the most common states of mind? Pleasure, pain, depression, sadness, happiness, attention, boredom … are these states of mind or are they illusion? [Michael_Entity] This set of descriptions are only conveniences to describe whatever a person interprets as their reality in the moment. They are highly subjective and can refer to either illusions or what you have called ‘states of mind.’ They are all ‘real’ to a person experiencing. The definition of ‘illusion,’ or Maya as we prefer, is in the apparent indulgence in a ‘truth’ that is subjectively inappropriate for the fragment. There are some Maya that are shared collectively, some that are individual. Despite the fact that Personal Truth will render all of these experiences “real”, we will share a little of our perception. Depression from your list can be considered a collective ‘illusion,’ and one that is a deep indulgence in Maya, though very ‘real’ when inside of it. Depression is a resigned stance toward the life, an emotional suicide based on one or more of the Chief Features. This is not a judgment. When one is in Depression, we differentiate this from Grief. Depression is literally the consistent and insistent effort to reject the life. If Depression is being experienced, acknowledge that you are where you are in your experience, and ask for help. Depression is one of many Maya that creates a situation where intervention from outside forces is required. Pain from your list can be either Maya or “real”, but is always a symptom of resistance or friction, which we do not see as inherently good or bad, merely resistance to some Growth. Pleasure is always a symptom of higher awareness and connection to Essence. Sadness can be either, though if tears are involved, recognition of a truth on some level is occurring. If there are no tears, this is most likely a form of Depression. Boredom is always a symptom of Maya and is a literal self-lie to remove responsibility. When Boredom is indulged in, you are living in a space of time that was created from want of “having more time”, then when it arrives, you seek to fill it. This all happens because creation on the Physical Plane is denser and slower, therefore the space and time sought “shows up”, but sometimes out of synch with your faster moving mind. Making a note that Boredom is a sign of forgetting your original intentions can help make more of that time. It is not required, of course, that you continue with your original intentions, but release the judgments about EXPERIENCING the slowing of time and take a moment to stop. When we say this is a self-lie to remove responsibility, we mean this in terms of being able to respond, not in terms of discipline. [Azure362] What happens when one fragment is deriving pleasure from another fragment’s pain? Here is where I get confused. This encompasses all these levels, personal or collective, as in when society feels some sort of pleasure at putting some fragment to death, as in capitol punishment. So this would not be true connection to Essence then? So it is safe to say that some pleasures are of Maya? [Michael_Entity] That is difficult to reconcile within the confines of the Physical Plane. We do not expect you to reconcile that, nor do we think it can be. Sometimes events are not understandable by Personality. We will say, however, that True pleasure is rarely experienced at the expense of another, unless both Essences involved have a mutual agreement for something that is otherwise seen as horrific. We will define true pleasure as being that which retains the recognition of the choice of others. If the choice of other is interfered with, then this cannot be true pleasure, it is only stimulation. And, no, it is not correct to say some pleasures are of Maya. Pleasure that interferes with the life, path, or choice of another is stimulation, not true pleasure. [Azure362] And then it is true pleasure that connects to Essence? I think I am getting it. Sorry, lol, but I see some fragments getting pleasure out of stimulation as such ? [Michael_Entity] Consider the image of a person gratified by eating a chocolate bar versus that of one being gratified by stealing the chocolate from a child. You will most likely intuit the difference. It is not complex when examined and the differences between self-stimulation and true pleasure are glaring. Again, the difference is in the lack of interference of choice in another. Our system of Personality and Essence is comparatively quite simple and each part of the system is dynamically linked to other parts, leading to what many have called Michael Math. Each role, attitude, CF, center, etc. are all linked by their axis. For instance, the Ordinal Inspiration will have re-evaluation, reserve, stoic, emotional, self-deprecation, and lunar body types, along with the Server, and the attributes of the number one. Therefore, as we discuss each role tonight in its disconnection from Essence, you might also recognize in that disconnection a link to that role’s inherent Chief Feature. In this instance, though, we might call it “The Great Lesson”. This is not a term we prefer, but it is one our channel found appropriate and we do not disagree, though more creative ways of seeing this will surely come from our sharing with you. Therefore, each Essence will have its “Great Lesson” and this ‘lesson’ will always recur each lifetime in some form. There will be no lifetime that does not struggle with this ‘lesson’, however briefly. Regardless of the dynamics of personality and its chosen emphasis of challenge, the Essence IN ITSELF has its challenges, though it is seen from a very different perspective and eagerly played with. This results from Essence “forgetting” the inherent challenges of the physical plane while being Astral. The body has to regain consciousness each lifetime regardless of soul age and seeks to grow back into the soul age last reached in the previous life. We will also note here that each of these scenarios we might mention in regard to the Roles can be applied to each of you since you may relate it to your own CF that then relates to the Role we are describing. Each Role and CF relates to a Chakra, or Center, and this can also lead to connections. We suggest you only focus on your Role for now, figuring in the consideration as to when or whether you are conscious and accepting of Essence, regardless of these extrapolations. We will begin with the SERVER. For now, we will examine the basics. When a Server is conscious and connected to Essence, regardless of its struggles and fears in the life, its Great Lesson is in discovering that it can take care of other things, nurture them, help them, be tremendously effective in catering to the nuances of needs in another all the while being able to care for self. The Server connected to Essence and conscious of that connection chooses to take care of itself no matter what is happening in the life, knowing inherently that this is the only way to truly be successful in any endeavor. The Server who is not connected to Essence chooses not only to slack in its care of self, but loses its enthusiasm to seek to care for others. This Server will seek in its universe and emphasize in its universe any and all ways to prove that things are not loving, that there is discord and that their own lives are not making a difference. They are self-deprecation, manifest. This Server has its roots in only emphasizing its own and all others inadequacy, or lack of being. This can be overt or subtle, but it will show. Their keys to bringing back a conscious connection to Essence (besides the first vital two steps, recognizing choice for where you are, and then asking for help), is in doing anything physically stimulating. Running, jogging, going dancing, anything with dirt and the ground, and getting a massage. Anything that allows contact PHYSICALLY with what is considered the “outside world” that provides data without judgment. The SERVER more than any other Role can use the past as their world and choose to gauge everything within that context, therefore, it is successful to release the past and choose experiences that bring the Server more “presence.” Next we will comment on the ARTISAN. The Artisan who is conscious of and connected to Essence is one that has learned to allow happiness into the life. This may seem deceptively simple and universally applicable, but any true Artisan can tell you that it is one of their Great Lessons to learn to like receiving and indulging in the pleasures of this world. An Artisan who is connected and conscious with Essence has true joy and enthusiasm for the life, allowing whatever levels of prosperity and abundance are appropriate at that moment. They have admitted to themselves what they wanted, what they needed, and they are allowing themselves to have it, to create it. The Artisan that is disconnected or rejecting of Essence feels their needs are too great, that they will never get what they deserve or are not worth the life used on them. Artisans are clever in their disconnection from Essence because they have helped to construct a culture that supports it. It plays on other fragments, deriving from them false compassion and pity, but nothing of value to make the life seem “worth it.” The Artisan disconnected from Essence is self-destruction, manifest. They have determined that they are not worth what they want. The Artisan can endure for years and years in this state, far longer than any other role disconnected from Essence, because this state eventually requires others to reach out and care for them, even if they are not making changes, themselves. Eventually, the Great Lesson is learned and the life is transformed. At some point, and probably more dramatically than any other role, a shift in the life occurs. This brings the Artisan into a space that says YES to life, to what it wants, recognizes its needs and says they are worth pursing it for. Ways for the Artisan to connect to Essence in times of recognized disconnection are through any form of artistic expression, but most especially painting or sculpting, making a concerted effort to GET OUT OF THE HOUSE. They can purchase things that feel fun are usually labeled “trivial”, interact with small animals, or dance privately to music. Next we will comment on the WARRIOR. The Warrior when connected and conscious with Essence finds itself in many a challenge against or within the life where there appear to be imbalances. A Warrior that is Conscious recognizes that their very nature requires them to live intentionally and with purpose of action. This means, regardless of its tediousness or turbulence, they are always out to conquer something. The Warrior connected to Essence finds itself in many situations of chaos and disorder as a means to exercise and emphasize what is and isn’t Power or Empowering. More than any other role they are more perpetually in crisis or challenge because this is truly where their “heart” lies. It may not be acceptable or as “easy” as other roles’ experiences or what the culture supports, but it is their world and it is vital. The symptoms of a Warrior connected to Essence can most likely be seen in gauging the strengths of their relationships. The Warrior disconnected or rejecting Essence feels that their life is one unrolling world of chaos and they determine they are just ‘lucky’ for what they have, relinquishing effort to make a path. More than any other role, even if arguably, the Warrior that is disconnected from Essence spends it life seeking approval and recognition, while consistently remaining in the shadows. The disconnected Warrior lays low, evades conflict, and depends on others heavily. The disconnected Warrior has a deep sense that at some point it needs to do or be something specific in order to be loved or recognized. Most of the time, this Warrior has no idea what that “something specific” is and will continue to close its circle of life down until it learns to make choices for itself, grasping that they are in control of their lives; this is their Great Lesson. The disconnected Warrior is Martyrdom manifest. This is another role that can regain connection to Essence by incorporating or balancing with heavy physical activity. Making contact with life in a physical manner that brings data into the body emphasizing security and control, such as Tai Chi or the Alexander Technique, a sport that requires coordination, or can all bring the Essence back into the picture. Asking to be held, or holding someone important can help, as well. We will address the SCHOLAR now. The Scholar that is connected to Essence and conscious has learned its Great Lesson, which revolves around the reality of shared love. This Scholar has realized with a great amount of profundity that they will not love another until they have sought to love themselves. As we have said, there are many of these Role symptoms you all may find applicable, but for each Role, you will see they are a deeper lesson when specifically considered. All other Roles have an “easier” time at loving and being loved than the Scholar does. The Scholar who is connected to Essence has realized they are whole and complete, that they like themselves and have decided to trust and open their hearts to their life. They recognize that ALL aspects of life are capable of being loved, even themselves and all the hard times passed through. When the Scholar is disconnected or rejecting of Essence, they do their best to ignore their lives, to resist the examination that not everything is fine. This Scholar refuses to examine their vulnerabilities and have not dealt with their shadow feelings, resulting in acts of dominance or power struggles. They have never experienced intimacy of any depth due to these things. They become adept at arguing their points, ignoring the pains of their past, destroying or deteriorating any relationship or person whom touches too closely too personal areas of pain and sensation. They are Stubbornness manifest. They, more than any other Role, truly fear what is called love. The disconnected Scholar can still bring in a definite resource of love into their lives, but this is usually sought only out of need for refuge, a place to securely hold up the walls around their own hearts. The Scholar disconnected from Essence can be one of the most painful and emotionally tormenting of all exchanges for someone trying to love them. Some suggestions for bringing more of Essence in might be to talk to children about their perspective on life, actually play with children or play on a child’s playground. Seeking laughter of any kind brings Essence immediately back in for a Scholar. Seeking the experience of the aroma and visuals of botanical gardens or observing the ocean can help, or having flowers within visual and olfactory range. We will address the SAGE now. The Sage in connection to Essence is the most obvious and closest to what the positive pole describes. They are TALKING. The Sage connected to Essence, regardless of what they are communicating, is at least communicating. They seek to express any and all feelings and thoughts as a means for communication. When they are angry, you know it, when they are sad, you know it, when they are happy, you know it; they will gladly tell you and tell everyone else. The Sage who is disconnected from Essence becomes silent. Of all the roles, the Sage is the most tender and fragile of all roles. We do not imply this negatively. This is simply because they are the “children” of our universe, and no physical age or soul age will ever change this. It is their “job”. As this Role pertains to communication, children, and the Intellectual Center or fifth (Throat) Chakra, you can see the fragility in a child who has been driven or shunned into silence, when the child hangs its head to cover the vulnerable communication center. This can be reflected in all ages of a Sage, as well. When a Sage has gone silent they are rejecting Essence, losing consciousness. In fact, forms of silence can range through all forms of suppression. This means this Role more than most is susceptible to addictions and substance abuses, anything to redirect the energies from having to address what wants to be said. They are Greed manifest, as they fixate on something they feel they do not have enough of, and remain struggling to attain this at the expense of life and self. Their Great Lesson is in realizing their expression and feelings are important, that what they have to say about what they are experiencing is important to someone, even if this starts out being just themselves. Ways for the Sage to regain consciousness and connection are through writing letters, reading personal journal entries to someone who will listen, sharing a personal story or poetry, trusting what you feel about a person when you first meet them, and singing out loud. We will address the PRIEST now. The Priest who has a connection to Essence realizes that life is full of many truths and each experience has its own truth. More than any other role, this role when connected to Essence has a deep and profound trust in life, knowing with true perception how to pass through the next moments and lead others through those confusions in life as well. Life is intuitively navigated. When disconnected, this Essence lives in a world of concepts and ideas, rational thinking and over-analysis. This would normally seem harmless, but the Priest disconnected from Essence enforces these rationales, ideas, and over-analysis to the point of destroying the life or misleading others as a means for false validation of beliefs. They lose their ability to adapt to the nuances of life and seek only to remain in a predefined, structured, and thought out picture of life. This removes their ability to intuit and trust in life, but creates severe judgment and enforcement of fear. This Role more than any other Role can make a lie become a profound but false truth about themselves, life, or others. They are Arrogance manifest. To help bring the Priest back into connection, we suggest to this Role more than any other to literally make time to communicate to what you consider to be your higher self, every day. We also suggest purchasing or making a set of cards with inspirational affirmations or a book of quotes that can be a “message” or “thought for the day”, or whenever in need, to help lend insight from someplace beyond analysis. And finally the KING, we will comment on. The King who has a connection to Essence is keenly aware of the fact of all possibilities, a sense of connection to all of its life. The King connected to Essence does not just live the life, it IS the life as well. This King recognizes that it is the source of all of its life, through choice, creation, and from even higher. This King sees no separation based on time or space, but only the beautiful unfolding of a life as perfect, no matter what. They do not judge the life, themselves, or others for their position in it, but instead recognizes itself in everything around it. This King has dealt with what might be called its “dark side” and now sees through that state in others, recognizing all the illusions. Limitation is never seen as an obstacle, but an important aspect of life to help direct growth. A King who has rejected Essence becomes highly separated from its life, separated within itself, and from others. Its Great Lesson is in acknowledging they are a PART of everything and everyone, not APART. This King is caught in circles of self-gratification and simple distraction for stimulation. They feel they alone are completely responsible for all achievements in life and resist any help in any form, in fact, sometimes violently. This King rejects people outright due to imperfections reflected from self and creates enormous amounts of Space and Time between those who are their most powerful support. They are Impatience manifest. This King who is rejecting of Essence will forever remain in a circle of development since they allow no other influences or support into their lives. Ways for a King to bring back a sense of connection to Essence is through visiting spiritual temples for moments of quiet and reflection, watching or reading information shared by spiritual leaders they resonate with. They can make changes in the life that reflects a commitment to the acknowledgement of the life force in all others, such as through vegetarianism or volunteer work. What is good about it, what are tools to fight it and are there some particular difficulties and challenges in neutralizing it? Thank you. Ladislaus [MEntity] Greed is a Chief Negative Feature that describes how one defends oneself against the fear of lack. Greed develops when one is taught, or decides that there is not enough of something specific to share. It tends to fixate on one to three things. [These "things" are more tangible in the younger Soul Ages, but as the soul ages, these fixations become less tangible, making the challenge of Greed both less likely to develop, but also the most difficult to transform, once developed. It is difficult to manage the fear of lacking something that is difficult to quantify. For instance, someone may fixate on fear of not enough Love. The definition of Love for this person is not only varied over time, but is difficult to quantify without conditions, negating the whole point, creating a perpetual spiral of fears. There is nothing "good" about any Chief Feature, but there is a Positive Pole, and in this case, it is described as Appetite. What this tends to mean is that the fragment has a constant filter on reality for the search for this thing that is lacking, or perceived to be lacking. [Mstudent_86] Could it help to revise one's view about "emptiness"? [MEntity] The finding of it will tend to trump many other things so that choices, reactions, pursuits will focus on obtaining that thing. Imagine this Positive Pole as the thing on your plate that you would always choose to eat, first. [Mstudent_86] What's "trump", folks? [MEntity] However, as this is a Chief Negative Feature, this eating is not for the enjoyment of it, but for the sake of keeping someone else from eating it, if you will. And this translates into how Greed's Appetite is motivated. Not for the pleasure of having, but for the sake of keeping it from being taken. (Trump is a term that is used to describe something that takes priority of importance and value over others - it is a term used in many card games) [Mstudent_86] thanks [MEntity] So while Appetite will help Greed find what it seeks, it consumes it just to keep others from having it. [Mstudent_86] Doesn't sound positive [MEntity] Positive is relative here. The Negative Pole is Voracity, which is when Appetite is not satisfied. At all. A kind of hoarding, indulgence, and a loss of control over one's choices as they are led by getting more and more, regardless of how much there is. Appetite is "positive" because it is satisfied when it has a taste, and there is little loss of control, but when that taste cannot have a break in satisfaction, it falls into Voracity. In other words, that which is pursued is consumed by Appetite, but when that which is pursued consumes YOU, it is Voracity. There is no "fighting" a Chief Feature, and it is not helpful to think of it as a slaying of a dragon, either, but to see this as any other source of information about yourself: a chance to listen, to care, to pay attention, to heal.     Self-Destruction

    [Excerpt from Energy Report: OCTOBER 2016] Self-Destruction is the fear of worthlessness. It is a reactionary defense against any challenge or questioning of one’s value, place, contribution, and meaning. Having your position in life, in relationships, in the universe questioned is natural. It will happen from within and from outside of you. The questioning is important, healthy, and encourages awareness. In addition to the natural and healthy questioning of one’s place, value, contribution, and meaning, there will come different answers to those questions that are both your own and that of others. You must sort through these answers to discover the truth of your value, place, meaning, and contribution. The range of answers is nowhere near as important as the answers you choose to emphasize, allow, and ultimately accept. The “best” that Self-Destruction can do in defense against the sense of worthlessness is to Sacrifice. This shows up in many different ways. It shows up in the literal sense that a person puts every other position of value and meaning above himself or herself as a way to prove worth. It shows up as aches, pains, ailments, and other disabling effects that give visible and viable reasons for why one cannot contribute or be of any value to anyone. It shows up as one who loses himself or herself in work to support a family. It shows up in the individual who decides his life only has meaning if it is willing to be given in place of someone else’s, such as the person who drowns while rescuing someone drowning, or the fireman, or the police officer who dies in the line of duty protecting another. Sacrifice is upheld as a virtue and one that unquestioningly proves or secures one’s value or protects one’s reasons for lack of value, but Sacrifice is a falsehood. As with all positive poles of Chief Features, none are truly “positive,” as they are still rooted in fear and do nothing to solve the problem from which the fear arises. Sacrifice is often confused as Devotion, but Sacrifice is very different. Devotion is a choice. Devotion serves both the giver and the receiver. Sacrifice is presumed to be the only choice, if a choice at all. It is motivated by the appearance, by the guaranteed position of value or the deflection of questioning value. Sacrifice demands recognition, or deflects and redirects it. Devotion tends to be quiet and personal, while Sacrifice is dramatic and theatrical. Self-destruction in the negative pole is Suicide. This is the “ultimate” Sacrifice. Suicide is a statement, the ultimate demand for recognition and proof of one’s value and meaning, or the ultimate condemnation and ending of one’s questioning of value. This shows up in literal suicide, in suicide bombings, in terminal illnesses and any chronically destructive addictions or habits. This is not to say that all terminal illnesses are Self-Destruction/Suicide, of course, but many debilitating and terminal illnesses have some roots in the deep uncertainty of one’s value and meaning in the world, relationships, in life.

[MEntity] It is the only way they know how to keep any sense of self-esteem, by pretending that it exists in greater quantities than it does. [MEntity] Self-deprecation points out its own flaws, and Arrogance points out yours. Arrogance [MEntity] The 7 Angles of Behavior for transforming ARROGANCE might be: [MEntity] 1. NO ONE IS LOOKING [MEntity] For those in Arrogance, the fear that everyone is watching them is high. There is a keen sense that every move and choice and action is being scrutized and of high relevance to others. In most cases, that is simply not true. No one is watching you. Most do not care if your hair is messed up, you stumbled, or if you are meeting your own standards or expectations. [MEntity] 2. CELEBRATE PRIVATELY [MEntity] For many in Arrogance, there is a compulsion to make it known to others every little success, to point out immediately a win, or to even "humblebrag," which is a self-congratulation tucked into a false self-deprecation. [MEntity] Allow yourself celebrate yourself with yourself. [MEntity] Your successes are just as real with or without being used as a means for defining yourself to others. [MEntity] See if you can embrace a success on your own without recruiting others to celebrate you. [MEntity] 3. CELEBRATE OTHERS [MEntity] Sometimes those in Arrogance can be so preoccupied with presuming everyone is watching them, that they forget to pay any meaningful attention to others. [MEntity] 4. LEAVE YOURSELF ALONE [MEntity] Those in Arrogance can be even harsher in self-criticism than those in Self-deprecation. [MEntity] Self-deprecation can slide into a quiet defeat, but Arrogance can be relentless. [MEntity] Many in Arrogance are their own worst bullies, if you will, taking on the voices of their past that criticized them, owning them so as to find some of their self-esteem in "siding" with this self-loathing. [MEntity] 5. LEAVE OTHERS ALONE [MEntity] Those in Arrogance can be of the worst bullies toward others, as well, actively or passively condescending in tone, words, behaviors, etc. [MEntity] If you find that you are talking down about another person, or yourself (see 4), behaving in a way that is not constructive, or helpful, but simply emphasizing flaws, then it may be time to look at how you are giving rise to voices of criticism that you carry about yourself. [MEntity] Criticism is helpful and meaningful, but not when only used as a means of deflection or protection. [MEntity] 6. EMBRACE EQUALITY [MEntity] By this we mean that while there will always be nuances among everyone and everything, with great gaps between common grounds, with some being better at some skills than others, or more socially celebrated than others, or even unfairly rewarded more than others, there is still profound relevance to the common ground of humanity and existence. In other words, allow comparisons to be informative, not defining. [MEntity] When you see or feel you are better than another, or that another is acting as if better than you, then remind yourself of as much that you share as possible. This does not mean you are not better at what you do than someone else might be, or that another person is not more attractive to more people than you may be, but let yourself have that which is equally true, as well. You do not have to pretend there are no differences, but do not pretend there are no similarities, either. [MEntity] 7. INVITE INTIMACY [MEntity] More than most other Chief Features, Arrogance will keep others at a distance, even as they often feign being very open and up front with you. [MEntity] Many in Arrogance will carefully construct a spectrum of revealing behaviors and expressions that others presume is all there is to know or see about that person, thus protecting the person in Arrogance from those who might otherwise pry. [MEntity] So it can be helpful for the person in Arrogance to take some responsibility and care in consciously inviting others to be close, not presuming that others will find their way, and then looking up and wondering where everyone is. [MEntity] Those in Arrogance can be of the loneliest people because they create the greatest moats of protection, but crave so desperately to be close at the same time. [MEntity] And so it can be helpful to actively invite intimacy, either in obvious ways such as literally asking for conversation, inviting to social events, etc, or by simply allowing the self to be present with another, listening, paying attention, and responding with care. Intimacy is not always about receiving attention, but about giving it
  21. [Excerpt from TT: 2014] The 7 Angles of Behavior for transforming IMPATIENCE might be: [CocteauBoy] 1. TAKE TIME OFF - separate yourself from the steady stream of influence time has over you, and move yourself into a position that is intended to be free, such as going for a nice walk, a night off to the movies, a meeting with a friend for conversation, etc. Anything that you would normally NOT do because you "do not have enough time," TO DO. [CocteauBoy] 2. QUIET YOUR MIND - Impatience can scramble your thinking process to such an extent that you are no longer effective, so it would do you well to SLOW DOWN your mind, your thinking, and find your quiet, internal space. This could be done in the shower, or in a bath, or any other moment you think of it. Simply relax your face, your jaw, feel the weight of your tongue in your mouth, the presence of your chest, and for a full handful of minutes from 3 to 30, JUST BE. This practice of BEING will allow you to come back to your moment with far more effectiveness. [CocteauBoy] 3. EMBRACE ONE THING - Impatience can often leave one feeling as if she must be on top of everything that is on the agenda, thus everything clamors for the attention of the priority spot. Instead of thinking of one thing causing the delay of another, it would do you well to think of your focus on one thing as an EMBRACE of that thing, much like your hugging of a child or puppy, knowing that you will happily and quickly hug the next child or puppy, as soon as you are done hugging one. This will help you to keep out intrusive thinking and distracted emotions. [CocteauBoy] 4. USE YOUR BODY - Impatience can often leave one feeling the burden of Time on the body, which can leave one ignoring the effectiveness of the body, leading to clumsiness and erratic behaviors or reactions. One of the greatest ways to use your body is to LISTEN. Most fragments who suffer from Impatience tend to presume the intent, meaning, and words of others who are communicating. [CocteauBoy] There is rarely any patience for the act of LISTENING. Some who suffer from Impatience do not even realize how little they listen because they simply go deaf to the outside world, so to speak, but have learned to speak for everyone around them so effectively they think their own words are those of others'. Taking a moment to ask if you are LISTENING can help you to come back to the moment and actually make more effective decisions and responses in the moment. [CocteauBoy] 5. CREATE PATTERNS - Impatience usually drives an individual into patterns that are comforting, rather than productive. When one is in impatience, and creating only comfort patterns, there still must be a sense of proof for the use of Time, so this leads to lying to oneself, lying to others, so that the time appears to have been met with enough challenge to validate ones existence, or one will escape into routines that are simply "going nowhere." Patterns are perfectly valid, but when one is Impatient, these patterns can move into entropy, so one must bring an awareness to the process of one's patterns and ask if they are being CREATED, or if they are merely being fulfilled. Make a simple change as a means to create or alter a pattern and the results can often be rather amazing. [CocteauBoy] 6. PRESENCE - Though we have mentioned this already, it is worth pointing out as its own concern, to be PRESENT. Those afflicted with Impatience are often NOT where they are in time. They are often somewhere else, such as an elusive future, or a sentimental past. It would do you well to practice being present when you are doing something. To do so would mean to be fully aware that your actions are being driven by your choice, and that your skin, your hands, your face, your body, Personality, are all on board for the moment, even if you would rather be doing something else. The more you escape the moment, the less you can bring change to your momentum. [CocteauBoy] 7. LAUGH AT TIME - by this we mean to point out that Time has very little to do with your life beyond your experience and interpretation of it. If you can find the humor and heart in your relationship to Time, you can find it as an ally, instead of as an oppressive dictator. Laughing at Time can mean finding fun things to do, playful things to do, meaningless and pointless things to do, as long as you enjoy them and they help you to lose your focus on time. In doing so, you can begin to help your Personality and Body to see just how little REALITY there is time beyond your use of the moment, and your interpretation of that.

    True Humility vs. True Pride

    What is true humility, and what is true pride – as opposed to, respectively, self-abasement and chest-thumping? [Troy] This is a great question, especially when a Chief Feature having a “positive pole” seems a contradiction. According to my work with Michael, they have commented on why Chief Negative Features can never, truly be “positive” and that is because the entire premise of a Chief Negative Feature is that it is based in DIVISION, or Separation. The negative pole usually describes a division that is BOTH within the self and between the self and the external world, whereas the positive pole describes a closure of the division within, but then remaining standing in division from the world. Don’t forget that Chief Negative Features are all just terms to describe the act of protecting yourself from something that is NATURAL. FROM MICHAEL: Self-deprecation is the act of protecting oneself from the natural experience of inadequacy. Inadequacy is not only NATURAL, but a vital part of the internal Inspirational process; somewhere within the life those in Self-Dep have determined they must fight against the experiences of Inadequacy, thus reducing all forms of personal Inspiration. The negative pole is Self-Abasement, which describes a division internally as created by an over-emphasis of every, single Inadequacy, while another part of you struggles to protect you from that. Protection comes in the form of proving to you that you are inadequate so you never try that again, using much external evidence to support this, thus dividing you from the world through amplified weaknesses and showcased failures. Humility is a step toward integration as internal divisions begin to mend, allowing room for successes, despite inadequacy, yet shunning any external acknowledgement of this, thus remaining divided from the world. Arrogance is the act of protecting oneself from the natural experience of Vulnerability. Vulnerability is not only NATURAL, but a vital part of process of gathering external Inspiration; somewhere within the life those in Arrogance have determined they must fight against the experiences of Vulnerability, thus reducing the experience of all forms of external Inspiration. The negative pole is Vanity, which describes a division internally as created by an over-emphasis of every, single Vulnerability, while another part of you struggles to protect you from that. Protection comes in the form of proving to you that you are exceptionally vulnerable so that you never expose yourself again, using much external evidence to support this, thus dividing you from the world through calculated, showcased superficialities or through private, wounded resentment (shyness). Pride is a step toward integration as internal divisions begin to mend, allowing room for exposure despite vulnerability, yet celebrating or highlighting differences as a means to remain divided from the world.

[Excerpt from TT: 2016-02-17] The 7 Angles of Behavior for transforming MARTYRDOM might be: ONE - NOT EVERYTHING NEEDS FIXING - it is important for those in Martyrdom to remember that not everything needs to be fixed. TWO - YOU ARE NOT THE ONLY ONE WHO CAN FIX IT - even when something may need fixing, you are not always the one necessary for fixing it. THREE - THE ONLY SPACE YOU OWN IS YOU - for those in Martyrdom it can be a struggle to control the space around the self, but the self is the only boundary that is truly owned by you. You end where your skin ends. It is okay to expand into the space around you, but you cannot always control that space. FOUR - YOU ARE A SURVIVOR (not a victim) - If you are alive, you are a survivor. It is undermining to your efforts to navigate life if you presume you are a victim, but it can be empowering to remind yourself that you are a survivor, that you care enough to continue, that your struggle does not define you, but guides you. FIVE - YOU ARE NOT THE ONLY SURVIVOR - there are true victims in life, and true survivors. True victims have been harmed in ways that force the choices of life toward survival, but victimhood only exists to the extent that one resigns from making choices. Others are surviving along with you in life, and it can be helpful to reach out so that a network of strength can be built, instead of ignoring this survival bond. SIX - YOU CAN SEE FURTHER THAN YOU THINK - you may be dealing with survival and boundaries and control to the point where you seem to only be able to see what is in front of you, but you can see further than this. Look forward, look further, look beyond. There are truths and inspiration there that can help guide you. SEVEN - BE NICE - those in Martyrdom can sometimes think it is justified to be difficult, to ignore boundaries, to uphold expectations and entitlement, to fault others for unhappiness, etc. And this often nurtures a license to be insensitive to others until someone is sensitive enough to break through and save you from your Martyrdom. No life needs to be perfect before being nice. And being nice brings a great wave of support and more valid control over the life than one might expect, and certainly in more effective ways than being difficult can bring.

YOU ARE NOT IN TROUBLE For those who struggle with Self-deprecation, there can often be a haunting sense of constantly being on the verge of being caught, being called out, humiliated, made to be an example, or "in trouble." Even when there is nothing to warrant such concerns. And even more so when there is such a need for concern. Allow for failure, for being incompetent, and build on your experiences so that you can learn, or make choices to pursue other directions. If your only concern is whether you will be in trouble, or not, then you will never truly be your best. 2. YOUR BEST MAY NOT BE THE BEST There are going to be times when you do not meet the expectations of others, or yourself. And the very best that you can do may not be the best that someone else can do. That is a fact of existence. Embrace this and allow kindness as a process in your improvement, or as a part of your freedom to pursue your strengths. 3. CLEAN YOUR CONSCIENCE That is not a typo. We speak to the necessity for those in Self-deprecation to CLEAN their conscience. By this we mean that the individual take time to note just how much clutter is in the mind that is from the past, buried like shallow graves, gathered there like a cemetery of failures and flaws, ready to be dug up at a moment's notice. It is important that those in Self-deprecation regularly look at these experiences as a PART of who they are, and not defining who they are. CLEAN your conscience of these metaphorical graves and begin to make room for life, for living things to grow there. Let the failures of the past act as fertilizer, if you will, rather than preserved as some sort of trophy that makes up for competence. 4. CLEAN YOUR ENVIRONMENT In addition to the clutter of the mind, those in Self-deprecation can fall into clutter of their space, reflecting the building debris of flaws, failures, failed expectations, etc. For those with Self-deprecation, there can be a high tolerance for clutter, and this can be reflective of the tolerance for the the clutter in the mind, heart, and body. A regular effort to clean, organize, and experience one's space helps to clean, organize, and experience one's self. Attention to personal hygiene is important here, too. Those in Self-deprecation may not "smell" as a result of lacking personal hygiene, but they may very well skip on certain routines of care for the body that would help them to transform the sense of invisibility and inadequacy into self-nurturing and personal attentiveness. 5. CARE FOR YOURSELF Do not presume that someone else needs to, or should, or could do this for you. Care for yourself in as many ways you can in a day. Give yourself good food, good entertainment, good bathing, good hygiene, kindness, patience, etc. 6. STOP APOLOGIZING/EXCUSING As long as you constantly apologize for yourself, you are not being responsible for yourself. As long as you are making excuses, you are not being responsible. Apologies and excuses are deflection from responsibility. We are not speaking here in terms of the social courtesy of acknowledging grief, or acknowledging a slight, but apology and excuses as a buffer to protect from the ownership of response. 7. OWN YOURSELF By this we mean that you freely acknowledge your behaviors, your failures, your flaws, but respond to them through ownership, not as a way to deflect from further responsibility. When you apologize or offer excuses, you are reacting. You are not owning. When you own yourself, you can respond as opposed to react, and this is key to responsibility. AN ASIDE: Keep in mind that the Chief Features will not just show up as behaviors in yourself, but as behaviors you endure or attract in others, as well.
