OMW - Sep 16, 2012 - The Circuitry of Overleaves Channel: Troy Tolley (Note: The following Chart was referred to - the Overleaf Map.) [MEntity] Hello to each of you. We are here, now. We can begin discussion on the topic of choice. Though the Overleaves function as a whole, they do function in a similar way to how one might understand how the body works. The body works as a whole, but, depending upon circumstances, various parts are of emphasis, serving the whole. Understanding your body as a network of circuitry, all entwined in a way that is inseparable, but distinct in parts, is much the same way that your Overleaves can be understood. What we will discuss, first, is the broader types of circuitry, and then move more into your variations. We are using the term "circuitry" here for this workshop, but we do not mean to imply it as a permanent term within our teaching. It is simply a way to visualize this topic. We have shared a bit about contextual circuitry in previous exchanges with our students, and we will review those, first. The Personality always leads with one Overleaf, however swiftly the circuitry is ignited to cascade throughout the rest of the Overleaves. In various circumstances and contexts, various Overleaves will lead. Those with higher Frequencies may find their circuitry "faster" than those with lower Frequencies. CONTEXTUAL CIRCUITRY The Contextual Circuitries are: PROJECT, SOCIAL, INTIMACY, and MEDITATION. These are fairly straightforward in correlation: When one is working on a project, the Personality will tend to lead with the GOAL. When one is in a social setting, one tends to lead with the ATTITUDE. When one is seeking or nurturing Intimacy, one tends to lead with the MODE. When one is in any state of meditation, one tends to lead with the Centering. This is fairly easy to validate, as well. Consider these contexts in the workplace, for instance. When a project is the priority, one will tend to find one's Goal is challenged and/or fulfilled. When one is socializing, one may find that one's perceptions, philosophy, Attitude are challenged or highlighted. When one finds any eventual bonding, it is usually secured by the Mode. When pondering any of this, the Centering is activated. It will not matter what the project is, if your Goal is Acceptance, you may find that your capacity for Acceptance is challenged and/or fulfilled. It will not matter the social situation, you may find your Spiritualism challenged, revealed, and/or highlighted. And so on. Those are the Contextual Circuits. We will get to how the Body Type, Role, Casting, and Chief features get involved. Before we move on, do each of you find a sense of validation for these contexts? Do you have any questions? [Bobby] Yes, and not yet for me [ClaireC] Ditto [Maureen] yes -- I have a sense of validation for these contexts [MariLynn] moreorless... [GeraldineB] So, far those make pretty good sense -- especially Mode -- my relationships do tend to be more in observation mode, wait and see, few strong emotions (often in surveillance) [Janet] Yes, but I have trouble imagining how my Power mode works (or doesn't work) for Intimacy [MEntity] Janet, keep in mind that Power Mode is about Being Present. It is an Expressive Overleaf, not an action, so it will be about making your presence known in some way. [Janet] I keep forgetting that. Thanks. [MEntity] It is about owning your presence, being comfortable in your skin, "being yourself." [Janet] The names of the overleaves sometimes give first impressions that aren't necessarily accurate [MEntity] In other words, how you might evolve intimacy is in how much of "you" can be present, be permitted, allowed, without shame, silencing, etc. [Maureen] Observation for me -- when I am intimate means yes -- I can truly "see" you. [AnnH] So I would expect others to "see" me? [MEntity] Ann, was that a question about Observation? [MariLynn] thank you. well clarified. [AnnH] Yes [MEntity] Then, yes. For Observation to foster intimacy, each is expected to be willing to "see," to truly see one another. As an aside, for another discussion, for intimacy to be fulfilling, it is key that one understand the Mode, as this gives insight into how you relate, and what you may expect of one who is growing closer to you. [MariLynn] I have a similar question-hard to see how aggression mode bodes well for intimacy! [MEntity] For you, MariLynn, Aggression is an exalted action Overleaf. Aggression evolves intimacy by way of constant change, movement, activity, progress. One must be able to "keep up." Intimacy is nearly impossible with someone who might wish to slow you down, tame you, or fault you for constant change of focus and directions. The Mode also describes what is expected of others, as well, as a means of relating. [MariLynn] yes! and it's been hard to find a partner who can, or wants to [MariLynn] omg, yes!! concur!! [MEntity] MariLynn, that is okay, or, at least, can be "okay." It is a "King" Overleaf, and is not intended to foster superficial intimacy and relationships. In addition to this for Observation, Sages inherently NEED to be seen, so Observation compounds the necessity for it. [MariLynn] is this also true to a large extent if someone is sage casted? [Diane_HB] I often notice myself using Observation in social situations, not necessarily Pragmatism. [MEntity] Diane, keep in mind that Observation Mode is not literal observation. You may find yourself observing others, but this is Pragmatic for you. [Diane_HB] I see [MEntity] Keep in mind that Pragmatism is a philosophy, a filter on reality. In a social situation, that will either manifest as being Practical, in your actual expression of self, in your exchanges, and in your evaluation of the worth of those exchanges, or as Dogma, stuck in routines that you have learned as a way to filter people out. [Janet] Clearly we need that future discussion about modes and intimacy. [Janet] And maybe one about social situations and attitudes. [MEntity] Dogma may show up as an inflexibility in what you find worth talking about, if you talk at all. Many with Pragmatism will be those who walk into a social situation, and then quietly, eventually, exit and wonder why the attempt was even made. Continuing. [Diane_HB] Thank you, that makes sense [MEntity] If there is a leading overleaf, then there would be a second, third, etc. in the circuit. [Bobby] Is this leading overleaf indicative of which one developed first in the life? [MEntity] Bobby, no. Centering is always developed first, in that case. It becomes the Meditative context of the life, then. [Bobby] I think what I may be referring to is for example, K's daughter, you've stated that a certain overleaf was turned on first... [MEntity] That would be one's core overleaf, and we will discuss that, next. [Bobby] lol... ok :-) [Diane_HB] I thought the centering wasn't fixed until the 2nd IM, or are those different things? [MEntity] That would be correct, Diane, except that Centering is habitual, not fixed. The Overleaves are always present, even from birth, but until a fragment is approximately 7 years old, the Personality tends to be reflective of the caretakers, not the actual overleaves. However, Centering tends to be activated upon mobility, and habitual at the close of the 2nd Internal Monad. [Diane_HB] I see [MEntity] The sequence of the Contextual Circuit would tend to be dependent upon the expectations or intentions that are fueling or distracting the leading Overleaf. For instance, to fulfill a Project, the Goal will lead, but if that Project is one that is for the sake of Relating, then the Mode might be secondary; or if it requires a lot of discussion and sharing, the Attitude may be secondary. If it is done alone, it may be from the Meditative Centering. This secondary part of the circuit is vital for how the leading part is sustained in a Positive or Negative Pole. For example, if you are obligated to a Project, the Goal will still lead, and if you are not "into it," you may distract yourself with your Attitude, or more Social contexts. If you are evolving Intimacy, but your Projects are, ultimately, what you feel defines you, then you may be leading with your Mode in that relationship, but your Goal will draw you away from the intimacy. Circuitry is always shorted out by dishonesty. By "dishonesty" we mean it in a fairly clear way: that one is denying a truth by cloaking it. For example, if you are obligated to a Project, it may be true that you are not "into it," but distract yourself with social contexts as a way to avoid that truth. Honesty would either not do the project, or it would call upon the social context as support, not distraction. When a "circuit" is weakened, so to speak, the Chief Features come into play. Can each of you think of examples for yourself? Do you understand this path of circuitry? [Bobby] and others even :-) [GeraldineB] I can remember instances, but I got a lot better quite a few years ago about not committing to something I had no intention of doing [AnnH] I think this happens constantly for me. [AnnH] Since just about everything is "supposed" to be a social context for me. [MariLynn] omg.....I DEFINITELY am in this right now. my 'project' is my obligation to be my father's FT caregiver [MariLynn] and, I am NOT into it. [Janet] Yes I see this. Work projects are often forced by circumstances rather than personal desires. But I can see this effect in past relationships as well. [Maureen] I would rather burn myself out -- rather than not complete something I`ve committed to -- which is another problem! [MariLynn] and, I can see this whole pattern as you've described....incl. the CF's have come up....esp. today [Diane_HB] I used to do this A LOT but have gotten better at being aware of it now. [MariLynn] ditto Maureen! [AnnH] From reading this, I realize in my 20s my goal was career and not so much social. [Maureen] ...which inherently shows a dishonesty with myself -- not good! [MariLynn] another ditto [MEntity] We are not speaking only to projects, but to relationships, social contexts, with secondary distractions or fuel, etc. We ask if you can see how this circuitry is at work in various contexts? [GeraldineB] I've learned to take the flack for saying "no" [Janet] Definitely can see it in all contexts. [MEntity] Even in your Meditative contexts. Can you not find your "center" because you are distracted with projects, relationships, etc? [ClaireC] Yes, Michael, and particularly how the CF's come in. [Janet] Yup. [Bobby] yes [MariLynn] yes [AnnH] yes [GeraldineB] yes [MEntity] The easiest way to determine if your circuitry, regardless of context, is weakened, is the question of whether you are DISTRACTED or ENTHUSIASTIC. [Janet] Oh! Good one! I see that right off. [MEntity] Enthusiastic here is not meant as prancing in pom poms and a perma-grin, but simply a "looking forward." [Maureen] yes! (sorry ...I couldn't find my centering!) [Maureen] :) [GeraldineB] and for Distracted, I would say caught up in the "should" or "ought to" mode of thinking [Maureen] (...that was a joke!) [MEntity] Maureen, we know. [Maureen] LOL [GeraldineB] LOL [AnnH] Yes, G. Very much. [MEntity] Geraldine, that is fair, but the "should" or "ought to" would not be the distraction; it would be what the distraction tried to avoid or ignore. [AnnH] Ah! [GeraldineB] which is . . .I don't want to do this and will PROCRASTINATE to NOT do it [AnnH] I often feel a lot of "I don't want to." [AnnH] Heh, psych [MEntity] There are plenty of "shoulds" and "ought to's" that are important and valid responsibilities, but distractions can make them difficult to fulfill. [Janet] I think of my life in terms of whether I'm bored or not bored. I see correlation to distracted or enthusiastic. [MEntity] That would be fair, Janet, as boredom is a lack of presence and connection to Essence. If Essence is put at a distance, boredom tends to be a result. Often, when one is not enthusiastic, one shuts down the resonance to Essence. We think that each of you see this clearly enough to benefit from the use of it in your choices and contexts, if you choose to apply this insight. We will add here that if one is looking at the Meditative Circuit, it is beneficial to understand that this is the first of the Overleaves to be activated and sustained, even if it is changeable and habitual. Centering will always go back to a more precognitive state of being, and therefore, is a context of innocence. In other words, when one seeks to find his "centering," or to meditate on his life, it is a return to innocence. Techniques and methods are helpful for the meditative state and circuitry, but this circuit is the context in every instance when you are alone. This is why aloneness is vital for the health of any Essence or Personality. Though aloneness is given a bad name in modern, highly-populated and dense societies, it is vital. Every time you are alone, you are leading with Centering, and that is supported or undermined by your distractions or enthusiasms. [AnnH] I am sorry to make this all about me, but I find that emotional centering makes it difficult to get things done when I don't "feel" like it. [MariLynn] I agree Ann [Diane_HB] I'm intellectually centered and I still can't get things done when I don't feel like it [MEntity] So to help heal or strengthen the circuitry of your Meditative context, your return to innocence, it can be as simple as fostering enthusiasm as the secondary circuit. This is a simple circuitry to address: For those who are Emotionally-Centered, there tends to be a necessity to foster or allow enthusiasm for Relationships, or The Mode, as the secondary circuit. For those who are Intellectually-Centered, there tends to be a necessity to foster or allow for Social and philosophical interactions, or the Attitude. For those who are Moving-Centered, there would tend to be a necessity for fostering enthusiasm, or allowing, for Projects to be fulfilled. In other words, the Emotionally-Centered can look at her Mode for how to relate to the self when alone. The Emotionally-Centered must be able to relate to herself as a means to be centered. [Maureen] What do you mean by: ``The Emotionally-Centered must be able to relate to herself as a means to be centered.` [MEntity] The Intellectually-Centered can look to her Attitude for how to interpret her life, how to interpret her place in society, as a means to return to her innocence and centered state. [Maureen] in general or something specific? [MEntity] Maureen, those who are emotionally-centered, when the Meditative circuit is weakened, can tend to wait or want for external inspiration to bring them back into a strengthened circuit of meditation and centeredness. [Maureen] I see [MEntity] They must find themselves to be inspiring again, to relate to themselves again. That is all that "relating" means: being inspired. [Maureen] ..and can look for distractions through other people? [MEntity] Maureen, yes, the Emotionally-Centered can often think that if the right relationship would come along, all would be well with the self. They are most prone to co-dependence. They can be distracted with relationships, which take them away from themselves, their centeredness, their innocence. When the Meditative circuit is weakened, it can greatly affect how the life is digested, how you see and experience yourself, and how divided or fractured you are within. Do each of you find resonance with this insight into these circuits, so far? [Bobby] yes [AnnH] Yes, sort of. [ClaireC] Very much so. [GeraldineB] yes -- it just doesn't "stick" with me -- it makes sense for the moment [Diane_HB] yes [Maureen] yes [AnnH] There's an intellectual resonance, but I can't really get a hold of it. [MariLynn] yes [MEntity] To help it "stick" with you, we suggest carrying with you the simple navigation between Distraction and Enthusiasm. The rest can be put into place after that. We have described contextual circuitry, which changes in any given situation, but there is also a Core Circuitry. CORE CIRCUITRY This is how your Overleaves network when not being led by a context. Though not an exact accuracy in all cases, it is easiest to assess your Core Overleaf by looking at how your various Essence and Overleaf patterns fall in the system. Looking at the "map" that Troy has shared with you, note where your known Overleaves fall. Include your Essence, Casting, Soul Age, and Level in your count. [MariLynn] do you mean what axis is most dominant? [MEntity] Your final assessment would be the count of how many fall into Inspiration, Expression, Action, or Assimilation. MariLynn, yes. [MariLynn] ok. that's what I thought [MEntity] Through a Sage, we can tend to be "wordier" than necessary, though we try to be succinct. [Bobby] lol [Maureen] LOL [Maureen] actually Michael -- that was pretty succinct! [MEntity] Do not include your Chief Negative Features. And only your Primary Centering. [GeraldineB] Michael was peeking again [Diane_HB] how about body types? [MEntity] Only the Primary [MariLynn] I didn't get the map but I have another chart....however what does old soul tend to fall into, ie. what axis? [MEntity] That would be Expression, MariLynn. Share your dominant Axis when you are ready. If you find that there is a tie among them, we will address that, too. [Maureen] I am 2-2-2-2- Michael [AnnH] Assimilation [Janet] Heavy on Expression axis; hardly any in the others (2-6-1-0) [Bobby] Action, followed by Inspiration [MEntity] We are unclear as to the numerical references, so we suggest either clarifying, or simply sharing the dominant, or tied, Axis or Axes. [Maureen] I am even across the board Michael [Diane_HB] I have 3 in Assimilation and 2 in all other axes [MariLynn] I am super dominant expression (5) 3 ins., 3 action and NO assimilation....no wonder I'm on disability!! [GeraldineB] I have big numbers 5s & 6s [MEntity] There should be 9 elements considered in your assessment: Role, Casting, Soul Age, Level, Goal, Mode, Attitude, Centering, Body Type. [Janet] Six of nine on Expression axis for me [AnnH] I have only 1 action [GeraldineB] I don't see anything for Level [MariLynn] with my body types, I am not sure which one is dominant. I feel almost equal in mars/merc. [GeraldineB] I have three and when Michael gives BTs, they're never in any particular order (or so I've seen them say) [MariLynn] yes [MEntity] For those with dominant Action, then the Goal is the Core Overleaf, and the Project Circuitry would tend to be fairly comfortable and appealing. [ClaireC] Can someone enlighten me on how to read this chart? [Maureen] OK -- Bingo!! I have a winner! 3 are in Action and 2, each, are in the other axis! [GeraldineB] I have three in 5 and three in 6 [MEntity] For those with dominant Expression, then the Attitude is the Core Overleaf, and the Social Circuitry tends to be the most comfortable and appealing. For those with dominant Inspiration, then the Mode is the Core Overleaf, and Intimacy tends to come easily, or is most appealing as a circuitry. For those with dominant Assimilation, the Core Overleaf is Centering, and the Meditative Circuitry (aloneness) tends to be the most comfortable and appealing. If your elements are evenly distributed, you may tend to go with the default HUB of the Personality (which is different from the Core), and that is the Attitude. The HUB of the Personality is similar to the Brain being the hub of the body, but not necessarily the main emphasis of development for an individual. Understanding your Core Overleaf can help you to understand where most of your emphasis is on development. It helps you to understand the state of your moods, your health, and your energy levels. If your Core Overleaf is not fed enough, so to speak, the Personality starves, it begins to deteriorate in circuitry, which reflects in energy levels, health, and mood. So consider this, in light of your Core: if your core is Social, and your life is mostly aimed at Projects, you may find it impacts you in ways that are challenging. If your core is Intimacy, Relating, and your life is focused on Social or Philosophical circuits, you may find yourself challenged in mood, energy, health. And so on. [ClaireC] Michael, with 3 Inspiration and 3 Expression, which would be the Dominant Core? [GeraldineB] Ditto Claire's question -- I, too, am 3 Expression and 3 Inspiration [MEntity] Geraldine, we have stated that if your elements are evenly distributed, you may find that you default to the Hub (the Attitude). [GeraldineB] OK ... I misunderstood [MEntity] That would mean that it is quite important to develop and feed one's philosophies in the life. From this discussion, each of you can now see your Contextual Circuits, understand which Overleaf leads in those, and understand your secondary circuit as being a realm of distraction or as a fulfillment of enthusiasm. We have also shared your Core Overleaf, based on the distribution of elements that make up your Essence and Overleaves, and how this must be developed and tended to for your healthy mood, body, and energy. If one's health, mood, and energy levels may seem compromised, take a look at your Core Overleaf, and determine if you are "feeding" it well enough, tending to it, nurturing it, giving it the experiences it may naturally desire, etc. If one can move the Core Overleaf into some kind of strength of circuitry, it can make a great difference in the body, energy, and mood. [MariLynn] that's for sure!! I thought I *got* it....and then I think I started overthinking it [MEntity] We will conclude here for today. This is an introductory consideration for how the Overleaves work in more useful and meaningful ways beyond their basic definitions. [AnnH] What if we're lacking in one area? [Bobby] the final test will be given on the Causal and it will be open book(Akashic) har har har [Diane_HB] lol [MariLynn] lol Bobby!! [MEntity] Ann, where one tends to be lacking the most, one would tend to attract others who may have that area as dominant. Or one would tend to generate experiences that keep that circuitry alive in some way. (Note: In the editing process, I moved some lines around so they'd make better sense; also, there are a few that were duplicated -- again, to give clarity glb)
February 7, 2002 Troy Tolley, Channel Education Part One Note from Janet: This transcript refers to the session as 'Part 1', but it does not appear another session on the topic was ever held. [M_Entity] Hello to all of you. We are here. We will begin with the Energy Report as it stands for the weeks between February 9th through the 22nd of the same month. You are now well into the energy described as Discrimination, and so far, the energy has seemed to be generally maintained in the Positive Poles for most. The most obvious effect from this energy will be in the heightened awareness of a single or couple of MAJOR choices needing to be made. We said the first couple of weeks looked to be calm and an opportunity for restful interaction with Essence, but the next couple of weeks appear to be focused on making the one or two major choices that will alter the life in some way. It could be said to be a pivotal period of time for many of you on a personal level. The period of time that supported time for restful interaction with Essence apparently was to help in the process of gaining more consciousness in Choice. Although Decisions are made all of the time, Choices are made that alter the life and create Parallels. Decisions lead to Choices. When Decisions are made, Personality can be aligned with Essence or not. When Choice is made, the alignment is seriously examined and this is a strong factor in how Choice is made. This could indicate an upsurge in most people, particular Mature and Old Souls, to implement a regular routine now of communicating to Essence in more personal ways. As this is a Moving Centered Year, as we have said in other contact, this will most likely mean you will be taking into consideration how your immediate environment reflects your relationship to Essence. Symbolism is very high right now, too, in terms of home arrangement, dreams, and “omens.” It is a particularly clear time to consult your favorite oracles, mediums, or channels. It is a particularly clear time to speak to and listen to (communicate with) people around you who might have insight, whether they realize it or not. February 12 appears to be highlighted as significant and pivotal. We realize this is the “Chinese new year,” we believe, but we do not refer to the date because of that. It simply seems to be the most sensitive and unformed day within the period of time in question. This tends to imply significance on a larger level. We will take your questions about the Energy Report now. If there are no questions, we will begin on the Topic. [Glenn] I notice a correlation to the period you discuss with the Mayan calendar. According to that, we are just ending a period of “core days,” where we work on core issues. Can you comment? [M_Entity] We have found through many of our students and channels that there tends to be a correlation between our perspective of energy patterns and the Mayan pattern mapped by their calendar. We can only say that this serves to act as validation for us and our students that the Mayan Calendar and its implications are worth examination. The mapping of celestial tides and patterns so far into the future are valid. The interpretations of these patterns, however, are symbolic. This is what makes the validity so uncanny. Astrology as you know it, is certainly not as clear and it does not claim the same detail. The only “flaw” in the Mayan interpretations is when the calendar “ends.” The commonly accepted date is off. [Kieran] Would the teaching of a simple core speaking language (one exists) make a big difference in breaking down cultural barriers and misunderstandings world wide? [M_Entity] Yes, of course. This does not usually occur as a World Truth until the latter part of a Mature Soul Age. Until that time, the focus is from a stronger Young Soul influence on maintaining “culture,” “heritage,” “history,” and “tradition.” The beginning of a Mature Soul world goes through a long and tedious period of “reaching out” in ways to acknowledge and understand all minority groups’ identification. This allows everyone to feel as if they have been included and are a part of the world. Then the task of weaving these differences into cohesion is taken on, and the first method of choice is choosing a common language. This concept is met with less reaction and pride by that time. [Anne49] With reference to the Mayan Calendar’s end date being “off,” will you tell us what the correct date is? [M_Entity] We will look at the Mayan Calendar’s accurate ending as we move through tonight. We are having a block at this time in that area through this channel. [NOTE from TROY: I have not made time to get Michael’s response to this, yet] If there are no more questions, we will begin with the Topic. Education, Part One The topic of Education is a broad one. We will be sharing some basic considerations we believe would help fragments begin a life with optimum potential and development of personal tools. “Education” begins within 48 hours of Physical Birth. The Body is a complete sensory unit and focal point “into” the Physical Plane for Essence at that time. We say the Body is “complete” as a sensory unit at that time because, relative to later influences, certain senses may or may not be heightened or diminished over time. For the first 7 years of a life, in general, the Essence gradually “moves in.” Essence does not live through the Body before that period of time, though there are exceptions. During the first 7 years, past life Personalities of relevance, as well as Essence, “care” for the Body and direct it and those fragments of importance around it for as many opportunities for imprinting as possible. When we say the “Essence and past Personalities direct those of importance,” we do not imply this is done through deceit or imposition. It is done through Agreement formation and fulfillment in most cases, or Karma. However the Body is cared for and guided, between the ages of 2 and 3 the Centering has become habit. This then would become one of its Overleaves. This is the first Overleaf of importance in determining the beginnings of Education on a higher level than primal. Children, then, can easily be said to be from three basic groups: Moving Centered, Intellectually Centered, and Emotionally Centered. There are, of course, those who are Instinctive Centered, and we will address these rare fragments another time. If intentional Education is addressed to fragments before the age of 7, it is helpful to acknowledge their primary Centering during that time as the priority. Moving Centered children, indicated many times by Physical symptoms in the skin (barring basic “diaper rash”) and tendencies to hit, bounce, stand, and/or pull more strongly, would gain more from focus on toys that encourage the EARS or HEARING. Intellectually Centered children, indicated many times by far more vocalizations, screaming, and “tantrums,” would do well with an emphasis on toys that require physical contact, touching. Emotionally Centered children, indicated many times by more quiet, smiling, and “good” babies, would do well with an emphasis on toys which require balance, combining, and color. (Emotionally Centered children see color far earlier than other children.) Before we continue, we will pause for questions about educating children up the age of 7. Are there any questions? [ClaireN] How does the environment affect learning? [M_Entity] If you consider the basic route of education for the child under 7 years of age, then it could be said that any emphasis on the more distracting influences could diminish learning. It could also be said that an OVER emphasis can be damaging. For instance if an Emotionally Centered child has a focus on Hearing, they may lose the important development from the more complementary route of Color, Balance, and Combining. Then again, if they are overexposed to harsh colors and chaos, they may tend to inhibit all interest in anything to complement their Centering. If an Intellectually Centered child has more of a focus on Hearing and Music, for another example, they may lose the important shaping from the more complementary need for Touch and Physical Interaction; though if they are carelessly touched, or indifferently cared for, they can be greatly damaged. As you can see, most caretakers intuitively provide ALL of the possible complementary toys and methods for education. But we can say that if an emphasis of a healthier development is a consideration, the more specific suggestions are important. Did this answer your question? [ClaireN] Yes, thank you. [M_Entity] You may have noticed that what we have suggested as educational focus is not primary to the Centering that is developing. Instead, it is complementary in that the emphasis will create a contrast to create a “rounding out” of the Center, creating less of an opportunity for the Center to live in a TRAP or PART, later. By the Age of 7, the Part is a habit. The greater the comprehension and strength of the Center by that time, the less it depends on a Part, but instead, uses ALL Parts appropriately. From the Age of 7, the focus of Education would best be geared toward defining the “Primary Essence Influence.” We say “Primary Essence Influence” because Essence may or may not be supported by the Overleaves as they rest on a predominate Axis. When it comes to a lifetime, especially before the 4th Internal Monad, the Personality, as the OVERLEAVES define it, is the most important concern, not necessarily the Role of Essence. Emphasizing discovering the Personality and its focus is key in allowing Essence to manifest as clearly and consistently as possible later in life. With that being said, it must be considered that past the age of 7, Education must address 3 very vital areas of the Personality: The Goal, the Mode, and the Attitude. Currently, those with an emphasis on Overleaves resting on the Inspiration, Expressive Axes are lost to the emphasis on the Moving and Assimilative Axes. Creative, Inspiring activities and outlets are not available in any meaningful way until after what is called High School, in most cases. Because the system is focused on only supporting only the Moving or Assimilative Axes, even if programs are in place for Expression and Inspiration, they are ridiculed, belittled, and under-funded, separating that group of Personalities in potentially detrimental ways. We suggest an overhaul of this basic inconsiderate system of education by not only creating methods of teaching that accommodate each Axis, but also accommodate each area of important development in terms of the Goal, Mode, and Attitude. This would mean teaching children from the primary axis of Inspiration through methods that encourage Emotional associations, feelings, and intuition. Teaching children from the primary axis of Action to be taught through sports, physical interaction, and tactile methods. Teaching Expressive Axis children through stories, expression, acting, communication, art, performance and stage. This is highly simplistic, but we realize the time frame we have through this channel is limited. Using the appropriate methods based on Axis, the school “day” would then be emphasized in 3 segments, each focusing on either the Goal, Mode, or Attitude. This basically means developing and encouraging the basic tendencies and interests of the child as he or she has shown interest (the goal), teaching the very basics of intimacy, sexuality, relationships, and exposure to varying cultures (the Mode). Teaching the 7 basic philosophies on the planet (the attitude). We cannot emphasize enough the importance of teaching the 7 basic philosophies before or during the teen years. If there is one, single aspect of education that condemns a society to unhealthy development and division, it is in the lack of understanding your own personal perceptions/philosophy and those of others. We will add here that we have not forgotten the Assimilative Axis. This Axis, of all of them, is the most adaptable and would gravitate itself toward the Axis most meaningful at varying points of development. The irony is in the “backward” approach to using, instead, the whole of Assimilation as the means to teach, rather than allowing those who are naturally Assimilative to adapt. We will pause here for questions, noting that this topic is far from concluded here, though the time is running out. If there are no more questions, we will conclude here. [JNelson] How do the Overleaves figure into how to teach a specific subject matter that a culture has already decided to teach? For instance, how would you teach Inspiration or Emotionally inclined fragments about math? [M_Entity] The premise of a subject would not change. In the case of Math, of course the focus must be on objects and their relation to each other. For each Axis, it is not necessarily that the means to teach would vary so wildly, but that the emphasis in the environment would change. For instance, the Inspirational children would learn Math based in an environment that is less structured, more intuitive, and made room for feelings. The Expressive children would learn through socializing, acting out the theories in story or song, and playing. A stereotypical classroom for the Inspirational children would be calmer, working with 3 dimensional representations, and using discussion, guessing, and emotional language. A Stereotypical classroom for the Expressive children would be boisterous, loud, using humor, food, and smells and lots and lots of personal associations to learn. The difference we propose is that a room with structure, pen and paper, and facing forward, are only specifically beneficial to Assimilation, and secondarily to Action. Beanbags chairs, toys, and stage, regardless of the subject, would keep a Sage’s or Artisan’s attention in any subject all the way through High School. Although we are not complete on this subject, we will conclude here. We will continue this subject at the request of our students, if the interest is there. Good Night.
[MEntity] We will continue on, then, to discussion of 2012 and its overleaves, along with an Energy Report for January and February. 2012 OVERLEAVES ROLE: KING (emphasized all year) CENTER: EMOTIONAL (with INSTINCTIVE) (emphasized all year) GOAL: GROWTH (emphasized Jan - Mar) MODE: PASSION (emphasized Apr - Jun) ATTITUDE: SPIRITUALIST (emphasized Jul - Sep) CHIEF FEATURES: STUBBORNNESS ] Impatience/Martyrdom (emphasized Oct - Dec) [MEntity] In an Emotionally-centered year, the tendency is toward a launch that is more unpredictable than usual, which often translates to the individual as a sense of not having words to describe one's feelings about tomorrow, and what it will bring; like a kind of careful floundering in the dark in a way that emphasizes an unknowing. [MEntity] The shift from the Moving-centered year into the Emotional year may come with some disorientation, as so much "energy" had been used to simply "hold on" through 2011, and it may take some time get your intuitive legs back, if you will. [MEntity] As the year is Emotionally-Centered, and launched from Growth, there is a great deal of emphasis on the Inspirational Energies as setting the stage for the year. [MEntity] This is further extended by Passion and Spiritualist later in the year. [MEntity] As Growth is the Goal that seeks to explore, find, and create Meaningful Experiences, we think that many will begin the year with an emphasis on returning to a sense of importance, meaning, and purpose in the life, instead of simply "getting by," or, as in keeping with last year, simply "hold on." [MEntity] This importance, meaning, and purpose may not be able to take shape very easily, or be expressed very clearly, as the year is so Inspirationally-based, and the Emotional Center is voiceless and expressionless. [MEntity] Instead, the Emotions bypass logic, reason, and explanations. It is a function that is fueled by one's capacity for "knowing," trusting, and more technically, Perceiving. [MEntity] Perception is the capacity to know without needing to understand how you know. [MEntity] And so it is that each of you may begin this year with a bit of stumbling around in the dark, but "knowing" you feel a necessity to return to that internal trust in your navigation again, even as you are not particularly certain about the direction, shape, or meaning it is to take. [MEntity] With the King being emphasized, all of this may take on a greater importance than usual, in that this is not just a personal matter, but one that you may find is important in terms of how you show up in the world to others. [MEntity] How you lead your life. What you want to make of it. What you want to show for it, or leave behind. [MEntity] The King year can tend to bring to light that core of any individual who wants to take back his or her life in a way that is on his or her own terms, and in this Emotional year with Growth, this would tend toward being in terms of what is most meaningful for you that can be used by others to help them lead their lives. [MEntity] This is not going to show as so grand for some, but on smaller scales, and tighter circles of intimacy, but for many, this is a rather pivotal year in this context. [MEntity] We see that most of our students, even as they are stumbling about, so to speak, are working hard to reassert themselves into some kind of position of self-leadership, meaning, and direction, through a return of trust internally. [MEntity] January, then, could be said to have had a theme described by the phrase: OK, WHERE WAS I? [MEntity] Most of our students seem to have taken a step away from the internal nurturing that is required for your sense of participation, joy, trust, intuition, and mastery of your life as you have tended to many external demands. [MEntity] The King energy of this year is generated from a collective sense of the "OK, WHERE WAS I?" in terms of how one feels he or she may have lost track of the self over the past couple of years. [MEntity] It is not that these past few years have been wasted by any means, but that they have been focused in more external directions that may have ranged from feeling like a necessary detour by some, exhausting for others, and/or even resented by others. [MEntity] It is not that these past few years have been wasted by any means, but that they have been focused in more external directions that may have ranged from feeling like a necessary detour by some, exhausting for others, and/or even resented by others. [MEntity] January, then, may have been the first month in a while that brought with it the slowing of time and energy to a point that can now see possibility for that return of nurturing to the self again. [MEntity] However, because of the momentum from 2011, it may not have come easily, if at all, yet. [MEntity] We think that most of our students would not feel the full settling of the shift into the Emotional year until next month, near the end of February. [MEntity] Once there is a bit more clarity as to what is most meaningful to each of you, then would come the return of the sense of intuition, trust, and sight in the dark, if you will. [MEntity] February moves more fully into Growth, and this may start to be more obvious as more exciting plans, personal experiences, and a sense of evolving comes back for many of you. [MEntity] February may be described the phrase, "OH, THERE, I AM!" [MEntity] We think that February 7th might be the shift for most as the Nexus is a Converging Nexus that brings a merging of parallels that originally branched out from 2005. [MEntity] That Divergence in 2005 appears to have been related to a "what if" kind of shift that explored the ideas of a range of "the worst" to "the best" scenarios relative to, and extending from, important events of that year. [MEntity] Many of those "versions" of the self, then, may be merging back as each have "returned" from those paths of exploration over time, and have moved the life into nearly the same state as what "you" perceive yours to be "now." [MEntity] For many of you this might bring a wave of Sentimentality with it, as the Emotional Center takes full effect, and your past is grieved, or reminisced about, or embraced in a new way. [MEntity] On the other side of this, the experience may be, as we said, one that could be described as "Oh, There I Am (again)." [MEntity] This may not be obvious, at first, but in the few weeks after, and into March, this may become more obvious as a kind of confidence, stride, and trust comes up from the self and into the life. [MEntity] Overall, the year ahead appears to be rooted in themes that are all about individuals or groups returning a sense of mastery back to their participation in life, fueled by what inspires them. For some, this will play out as mastery and perceptive evolution, but for others, this may show up as tyrannical, sentimental confusion. [MEntity] This is most likely going to be played out quite distinctly in United States' Politics. [MEntity] We have much more to say about the Overleaves for the year, but this is a start. We will now take questions regarding 2012, its Overleaves, what we shared, and any other relevant questions. [Question] Is the attempt at internet censorship by the music and movie industries and certain U.S. politicians through SOPA and PIPA due in part to the King energy in place this year? They certainly seem to be attempting to impose their will on others in a tyrannical manner. [MEntity] Oh yes, DB; it is an example of the Tyrannical, Sentimental, and Confused. This appears to have been an example of imposing meaning that is from "the good old days" while not understanding anything about the current state of days. [MEntity] The intentions were not sinister, as much as they were simply motivated by a disconnect from the present state of technology, people, and the nature of the Mature Soul paradigm, which will continue to increase in its sharing of "intellectual properties" and ideas that can never truly be "owned." [Question] With the rhetoric of various nations regarding the politics of the Middle East and the nature of the US to economical need to be at a constant state of war, what is the outlook for war in the middle east to break out into a full-scale global war? [MEntity] The potential for a global scale of war is still rather low, though existent, at what might be described as being a 25% probability. [MEntity] Not very many fragments are interested in a global war, and for that to be accommodated on any meaningful scale would require a great many of the Mature Souls to exit so that Younger souls could implement it. [MEntity] As long as there is a means for launching a global war, then there will always be probabilities for it, but, for the moment, they are low probabilities. [Question] So then the rhetoric is just that then? [MEntity] Yes, for the most part, there are many "puffed up" scenarios generated from the various fears, but as with any fearful state or projection, it is often generated from thinking that one is doing the best thing for protection from that which is feared. [Question] Does Michael believe that conscious astral projection training is beneficial for the essence? If so, is it true that around the time of December the 21st there will be a "massive spiritual awakening"? [MEntity] Consciousness brought to any endeavor can be described as "beneficial for Essence," but Astral Projection is mostly for the entertainment and exploration of the Personality, as Essence is already "projected," if you wll, and has direct access to the Astral. [MEntity] Astral Projection is a matter of sustaining a cohesion of consciousness beyond the confines of the body, and when that is practiced (consciously, or unintentionally through dreams), it is profoundly liberating to the Personality, as it is a kind of experiential proof of its existence beyond those confines. [MEntity] As for a "massive spiritual awakening," we would say that this could be said to be true, if that "awakening" is understood as a shift of a dominant paradigm from Young to Mature, and having started long before December 21st, and continuing long after for approximately 50 to 100 years. [MEntity] There has never been, and probably never will be, anything that could be described as a "massive awakening," or a specific date to mark a shift in collective growth, except insofar as one might describe it in retrospect, and in terms of a great scale of time. [MEntity] For instance, it could be said that a "massive awakening" last occurred over the Harmonic Convergence of 1988 when the official number of Mature Souls within the sentient population actually shifted to be the most dominant Soul Age, but as one can see, the implementation of that shift is still in the works. [MEntity] With each "important date" that has come since then, there are minor shifts that are valid in ways that are not massive or obvious, but are valid, nonetheless. [MEntity] December 21st, 2012 has moved to become a kind of anchoring effect of the Mature Soul consciousness and paradigm shift. [MEntity] Since 1988, the population that has been incarnated has fluctuated over and over between having more Mature and more Young, almost on a yearly basis, but this current year may bring that to a conclusion, with a momentum in place that keeps the population sustained as having mostly Mature Souls at any given time. [MEntity] In that regard, some may consider this a "massive awakening," or an important shift, but we simply see it as part of the process of evolution that is quite slow, relatively speaking. [Question] Relatedly, since 2012 has been so hyped up by so many for a while, and from various angles from doomsday to miraculous ascensions, how might the expectations and hype influence the events, or probability of events, for the year (if at all)? [MEntity] On Personal and Community Levels, the interpretation of events will cater to many of these various angles on the year. The events of a year can mean anything to the individual or group, depending upon their preferred or defaulted processes of growth. [MEntity] It is not so much that these beliefs and "hype" will generate events as much as the events, which could have happened in any year, may feed into the beliefs and hype. That being said, we do not think 2012 can be moved through without at least one individual or group actively doing their best to impose their idea of what "2012" should bring. [Question] On a more 'personal level' for some of us - how are a year's overleaves experienced by those who have those particular overleaves themselves, such as a King role in a King year, or an Emotionally centered fragment in an emotionally centered year? [MEntity] This would depend upon Soul Age. The younger Kings will "eat this up" and excel into positions they have longed for over a great length of time, such as the Young Mitt Romney. [MEntity] For the older Kings, it can bring about a shift in positions more quietly, but still with the emphasis of a return to their potential for Mastery. [MEntity] Whatever Role is emphasized in a year, the fragments who are that Role tend to escalate their own participation in the world in some way that emphasizes their positive and/or negative poles as Essence. [MEntity] For our older students who are Kings, we think this would be a year when confidence is supported for return in them, particularly in terms of how inspired they feel toward their own efforts. Kings have had a very difficult time sustaining a sense of inspiration over the years since 2005. [MEntity] For those who are Emotionally-Centered in an Emotionally-Centered year, this can range between being hypersensitive and more sentimental than usual, to being highly inspired and perceptive, often fueled by nostalgia. [MEntity] Nostalgia is the capacity for extracting the most meaningful, important, and beneficial of events from the past as a means to build upon them, whereas Sentimentality is a wish to return to the past, or a state of grieving for the past, and an attachment of meaning to symbolic representations of the past. [MEntity] That polarity may be heightened for those who are Emotionally-Centered in an Emotionally-centered year. [MEntity] Of course, these are simplistic examples, but they are fair in their description of possibilities for the Role and Centering in question. [Question] For a slightly different take on Brian's question, will we possibly be looking at a "Persian Spring" this year? [MEntity] Yes. [MEntity] The probability for a "Persian Spring" is rather high, but keep in mind that even the "Arab Spring" is a misnomer to describe a great process that has taken a great amount of time, and if there is to be a "Persian Spring," many more effects from the "Arab Spring" must continue. [MEntity] But the momentum is in place to help bring about this so-called "Persian Spring," and that may come this year, though we can only speak to the fact that it MAY come this year. We cannot predict it beyond stating that the probability is rather high at 44%. [MEntity] We will conclude here for today. Good evening to each of you. [MEntity] Goodbye. MORE ON "Energy Reports" WHAT IS AN ENERGY REPORT and “OVERLEAVES FOR THE YEAR?” Though energies shift, change, and adapt all year, there is a general energy that can be said to affect the calendar year, at least in terms of your shared reality. Our Overleaves system can be used to describe any collection of energies, ranging from the dynamics of the actual Personality to the general “mood” of a room, society, fictional character, theme of groups, or a planet’s general atmosphere of consciousness. In addition to this, when a block of time is selected, that time frame can be translated into a description of energies based on what we perceive as the momentum of events, consciousness, and choices that will POTENTIALLY contribute to that period of time. The Overleaves for a year, then, are our interpretation of those events, consciousness, and choices as we see that they are most likely to be brought to bear in your world. The more participating one is in “the world,” the more likely these energies will be of concern, though one’s inactivity does not exempt one from world or local energies, anymore than staying inside can take away the fact of a rainstorm. The rainstorm outside can have as much an effect on one inside as on one who is outside, depending on personal interpretations and experiences of that rainstorm. The very basic energy, or basic context, of a year can be described in two Overleaves: the Role and the Center. These two basic energies are those that can contribute to your year feeling “comfortable” or “challenged” during the year unfolding, depending on your own Overleaves and your method of participation in “the world.” These two energies are most obvious in the first three months of a year, but their effects will remain steady throughout the year. It can be said that ALL of the Overleaves we use to describe the year are in effect ALL year, but the particular frames of time described below are the “seasonal” emphasis of those particular Overleaf qualities.
Michael Speaks Live Online "Seven Emotions" March 23, 2014 (3 Hour Session) Channel: Troy Tolley [MEntity] We understand the topic of focus is that of the Emotions. First, as you explore the concept of Emotions, we will point out that "feelings" and Emotions are not, technically, the same things. They are so interconnected that they are often considered the same thing, but for the sake of the topic today, it will be helpful to understand that the "feeling" aspect is a bodily reaction/response to the energy that is Emotion. Emotions are more like a surge of energy, a kind of electricity, if you will, and your processing of that is what you call "feelings." All Emotions originate from the Emotional Center. These are then distributed, or processed, through the Parts of that Center, which funnels the energy into the other Centers relative to the Part. So, for example, if an Emotion is a Moving Part Emotion, it still originates from the Emotional Center, is processed by the Moving Part, and directed toward the Moving Center then. We will return to this circuitry a bit later. All Emotions Are Personal -- Only About Oneself Because all Emotions are of the Emotional Center, this means they are always related to ORDINAL INSPIRATION. This means that all Emotions are personal, and they are either a result of PROJECTION or REFLECTION. Emotions are personal (ordinal) in that they only ever tell you about YOU. Emotions never tell you anything about anyone other than yourself. Ever. It is an information circuitry that is entirely unique to you, about you, and is all about your collection of experiences, organized in layers of time, and that are then used to measure against your current experiences. All of this is a form of navigation. This is all true whether one is Emotionally-Centered, or not. When one is Emotionally-Centered, it simply means this form of navigation is relied upon far more than the other two forms (Intellectual and Moving). All fragments will have all three forms inherent to the incarnation, of course No matter how provoked, your Emotions are informing you about you; not the other person or even the event. When we say that they are "informing you about you, we mean that they are sifting through your collection of experiences over time and comparing the current experience to a past one for reference. If you have a painful experience in your records, a current experience might trigger that painful association and the current experience will be regarded as painful, even if it may not be painful. Because Emotions are Inspirational, they are LOADED with POTENTIAL. They are not reality. They only speak to the potential of a reality. So, for instance, this reference to a painful experience from the past is only meant to suggest that the current experience MIGHT BE painful, too. It is not meant to tell you that your current experience IS painful. And therein lies the difference between PROJECTION and REFLECTION. Projection is a reactionary processing of Emotions that presume that what is "felt" is the conclusive truth. If you feel it, it must be true. That is that. This is Projection. This is why we continue to remind our students that Emotions are not the truth. In a sense, Emotions are ALWAYS about the PAST. So the truth that you "feel" is about the past, not the present or the future. This is not a bad thing or a good thing, it is simply how Emotion functions. Even the best of how you feel is a product of the past. For example: you may find that the watching of the setting Sun is one that brings joy. But this is because it is not your first sunset. First sunsets for many fragments (in those early lifetimes) was terrifying. The world was plunged into darkness and new creatures emerged in that darkness, and nothing was ever the same again. Until the morning, of course. But then it would happen again. This was terrifying. Eventually, enough experience with sunsets brings Trust, and it is known that the Sun has not died, and it will rise again in the morning. To be clear, this Trust still cannot speak to the TRUTH. It can only speak to experience. MORE THAN LIKELY the sun will rise, and MORE THAN LIKELY the sun has not died, but there may very well come a night that never ends. As you can see, Trust then becomes an important Emotion for navigating because one cannot constantly fight and fear a sunset. If there comes a day when the sun does not rise, you will deal with that. Until then, you live as if the sun will rise again, because you Trust that it will, and you Trust that it will because you have enough experience to do so. This is no different in processing when it comes to relationships. It is fair to be wary of new relationships if one has experienced pain in one or more. Your Emotions are telling you to be careful, and that another round of relating COULD result in another round of pain. But, remember, Emotions are not the truth. They are only referencing your experience, and your experience, while your own, is not a constant. You lived in terror for years, afraid that the sun may not rise again. That fear and pain and terror was real. It is fair to be wary as the night falls again. But your fear, pain, and terror are not a constant, because you continue to gather experiences. And as your days are found to be filled over and over again, despite the terrors that the night will come, you begin to note this and grow from it, and face each day and night with Trust. The same is true of your relationships. The fear and pain and terror of your losses when a relationship ends or departs from expectations can make the next relationship seem a breeding ground for more terror, fear, and pain. But a new relationship is like a new day. IT WILL END. AND YOU WILL NOT. And just like the passing of days, you will find that relationships, like your days and nights, are uniquely filled with what you put into them, and are not defined by their beginning and "end." This is REFLECTION, then. PROJECTION is when you impose your past on an experience, relationship, or event. REFLECTION is when you learn from your past, but allow the greatest potential of the present or future. What we have shared, so far, is how Emotions function, how they are processed, what they are for, and what they mean. Though there many words to describe Emotions and how one feels, all Emotions can be traced back to one of seven basic Emotions, or as a combination of two or more of these basic Emotions. Those SEVEN BASIC EMOTIONS are: TRUST, DISGUST, ANTICIPATION, SADNESS, JOY, ANGER, SURPRISE. Trust is of the Instinctive Part. Anticipation is of the Higher Emotional Part. Joy is of the Higher Intellectual Part. Surprise is of the Higher Moving Part. Disgust is of the Emotional Part. Sadness is of the Intellectual Part. Anger is of the Moving Part. FEAR is not an Emotion, technically, anymore than Truth is or Love or Energy, in any technical sense. Many "emotions" that are referenced by other terms are combinations of the above, either in negative or in positive pole combinations. None of these Emotions are bad or good, but all can be experienced in beneficial or harmful ways. QUESTIONS Before we break down these Emotions into polarities, we will open the floor to any questions relative to what we have shared so far. [DianeHB] What IS Fear, if not an emotion? [MEntity] Fear is a "feeling," a secondary response or reaction to the processes of Emotions of Anger and Surprise. Fear, then, could be said to be the body's reaction of protection against negative experiences relative to Anger and Surprise. Keep in mind that the entire concept of Fear is one that is far more insidious and pervasive than this simplified version we speak of. We are speaking of Fear in terms of Emotions here, but we may speak of fear in larger terms in other discussions. But for the point of discussion regarding Emotion, Fear is often that bodily reaction to protections against all that is related to negative experiences of Anger and Surprise. In broader terms, it could be said that Fear is also the bodily response to all of these Emotions in their negative poles. [Juni] I am wondering about the difference between feelings/emotions and intuition. If feelings/emotions only ever tell you about oneself, how do you distinguish that from a "feeling" about another? [MEntity] Intuition is different from Emotions. Again, these are often presumed to be the same things, which is why many who use "intuition" are merely guided by a maze of emotions, and not insights. This is not a bad thing in the end, because when "intuition" is thought to be a process of navigating Emotionally, it can still be helpful, since Emotions always lead one back to the self. This can be just as important as guiding one outwardly. However, to more directly respond to your question, one's "feelings" about another person can still be useful, even if those feelings or Emotions are informing one about the self. It simply means that one has owned the feeling as one's own, and not as having originated from another person. If a person "makes you feel good," it is informing you as to how you feel about that person, but it is not necessarily how anyone else might feel about that person. And it only tells you how you feel about that person RIGHT NOW, not about how you will feel about that person in the future. All of this speaks to your past as a reference, too. If you meet someone and presume that your good feelings are the truth about that person, you have immediately cut yourself out of the picture as a source of those good feelings. This is often the case when "falling in love." Presuming that these Emotions and feelings are sourced by someone else means that there will likely come a day that the other is then blamed for less pleasant feelings. This becomes problematic for relating to someone because then the emphasis shifts away from how you contribute to your range of emotions and feelings, and the emphasis shifts toward how to get the other person to make you feel the way you had expected to feel. So there is no real differentiation here. Your feelings about a person are your own, and are not the truth about another person. There is a big difference between "I feel good" and "You make me feel good." Intuition, however, is another topic, and it is a synthesis of input from all of your senses so that comprehension can be gained. [ViP1] Hi Michael. I've read in psychology articles that insufficient contact or interaction (as an infant) with one's mother (or perhaps both parents) in the form of touch, and responses to facial and other cues, can inhibit peoples' abilities to recognize and describe their emotions (or perhaps, feelings?) And hence, leading to difficulties in dealing with them (emotions - or perhaps feelings, I'm not sure which based on your earlier distinction between them. Probably feelings.) Would you say that there is validity to this, and if so, if someone has had this experience in early life, how the processing circuitry is affected (and if possible, tips on how to rectify it, ie, recognize and process emotions effectively?) [MEntity] Any issues with care taking during the first 7 years can affect the Instinctive Part and, therefore, affect one's TRUST. Trust is reset in every lifetime, but how one is handled, treated, nurtured, born, etc. can skew that function so that it has some range of challenges. All Emotions are reset in every lifetime. But as one progresses through the Internal Monads, these Emotions are explored in a way that locks them into Projection or frees them into Reflection. These are not tied to the Internal Monads in a way that leaves an Internal Monad unfinished if the Emotion is not freed, but there do tend to be periods of the life where the various Emotions are emphasized in exploration. For example, Trust is explored and emphasized between the 1st and the 2nd Internal Monad. The 1st and 2nd Internal Monads can be successfully closed, even if Trust is not freed, but there is a rather high correlation to the level of trust vs distrust that one has in relation to whether one has completed those Internal Monads. In other words, there does TEND to be a much higher level of distrust among those who have not successfully closed their 2nd Internal Monad. DISGUST is explored and emphasized from the 2nd Internal Monad all the way through the 3rd Internal Monad. This is why you will find your toddlers to teens emphasizing this in ways that can be repellent and difficult. ANTICIPATION is explored during these, as well. Whereas SADNESS and JOY are explored and emphasized during the 4th Internal Monad. While ANGER and SURPRISE are explored and emphasized during the 5th Internal Monad. This is not to say that these Emotions do not exist as emphasis at any other time. We did not say that, nor did we imply that. But it is to say that those stages tend to be when those particular Emotions come to be truly resolved and freed, or locked into a more restricted state. Speak to a fragment who is successfully navigating the 5th Internal Monad and you will speak to someone who has all but lost the charge of Anger as a form of helplessness, and has freed it to become a form of motivation. Emotions as Polarities This may be a good segue into these Emotions as polarities. Think of the poles below as describing the Emotion as restricted or freed, and therefore more subject to Projection vs Reflection. TRUST as restricted might be FOOLISH/DISTRUST, and freed as CONFIDENCE/AWARENESS DISGUST as restricted might be CAUSTIC/LOATHSOME and freed as HUMOROUS/PREFERENCE Keep in mind that our polarities here are not necessarily emotions. These are merely adjectives to help understand the spectrum of that particular Emotion. SADNESS is restricted as PATHETIC/SELF-PITY and freed as GRIEF/HONESTY. ANGER is restricted as DEPRESSION/BLAME, and freed as MOTIVATION/PURPOSE. ANTICIPATION is restricted as AGITATION/DISDAIN, and freed as ENTHUSIASM/CONSIDERATION. [ViP1] Michael, just to confirm, you are giving negative poles first, then positive, as usual (eg, ENTHUSIASM: -ve, /CONSIDERATION: +ve?) [MEntity] What we are sharing with the two terms for each pole is the branching that the restriction or freeing can show up as. For instance, some restrictive Trust shows up much more like Foolishness or blind faith than as Distrust. But Foolishness and Distrust are fair ranges to include how the Freed end would show up. JOY is restricted as OBNOXIOUS/SELF-INDULGENT, and freed as INCLUSIVE/INVITING SURPRISE is restricted as RESISTANCE/DISREGARD, and freed as ADAPTIVE/PLAYFUL. To bring further correlation, it could be said that these Emotions are more inherently explored and emphasized in various Essence Roles, as well, though this is certainly in no strict sense of delineation. Scholars - Trust; Servers - Disgust; Artisans - Sadness; Warriors - Anger; Priests - Anticipation; Sages - Joy; Kings - Surprise. These inherent Emotions might be said to be a long-term spectrum for each Role to truly comprehend from its worst to its best. Furthermore, one COULD look at one's overleaves and "translate" his or her profile to show how the Personality might be emphasizing certain Emotions as exploration and emphasis. For example, if one has a greater emphasis down the Moving Axis, one might be exploring the wide range of Anger and how this is both debilitating and motivating. QUESTIONS We will open the floor for 2 or 3 final questions. We think we have covered a good amount on the subject of Emotions tonight, and these can be further explored in other exchanges with us. [Tyrant] Do each of the emotion types when blocked or repressed (or stuck in negative poles) have certain types of illness/ailments to them that manifest/what are they? as in, are there consistent patterns in types of ailments [MEntity] Yes, there can be. However, by the time most ailments are showing Physical symptoms, it is often a mix of two or more Emotions that have remained restricted. We can delineate these in another exchange. We would, first, want to share how illnesses/ailments can be broken down into 7, before correlating. If there are no more questions, we will conclude here for today. Good day to each of you
