    Core Values of Priest

[This material was originally posted by NickG as a private session transcript on May 18, 2016. Permission was granted for placement in the Study Library.] Nicholas33: Hello to you too Michael. When we had the session on manifesting essence you stated something along the lines of the role having core values as a foundation to build upon. You gave me some examples for the Sage but I was wondering if I can have the core values of the other roles as well. MEntity: Yes ... PRIESTS - Understanding, Inspiration, Meaning, Consistency, Presence, Integrity and being living examples of Self-Awareness. ... Keep in mind that these Core Values will be upheld in some way, even if they are upheld in desperate and unhealthy ways. These can be upheld in ways that serve only the self, serve only others, or serve a balance between the two. ### end of transcript ### Note: You may comment on the original post. 2. NYC Michael Speaks Live: The Art of Discipline [original date: Mar 25, 2012] Channel: Troy Tolley Edited for Clarity Transcribed by Eric Mielke [MEntity] We are here. We may ask you some questions that will ask of you an answer that may contribute to your understanding of the topic. So if there is somebody who wants to help document these responses, organize this now as we’re working to come through. [MEntity] Because of time constraints, we may have to limit our information today to the dynamics involved with the concept of Discipline. Troy has decided to call this the Art of Discipline, which is appropriate as we see anything that is involving a conscious effort or practice that leads to the evolution of whatever it is that you are practicing to be an art. [MEntity] Asking questions of us is even an art. It is something that evolves with practice. And so it is with your efforts toward Discipline. It takes practice and it evolves in terms of satisfactory results. [MEntity] So what we will do first is talk about Discipline and what that means in our terminology so that you can understand it differently – possibly differently – so that you can apply in a more useful way than you might be doing based on colloquial understanding or current societal understanding. But before we go into that we will ask you a few questions so that you can set yourself up for insight later. [MEntity] The first question we’ll ask you is “Who” – and when we say “who” here, we are speaking in terms of anybody, not necessarily someone you know. It could be a celebrity, but it would be somebody active in your life in some way. So first, “Who in your life makes you laugh? Who in your life helps you to laugh at yourself? Who in your life brings levity to your challenges, indirectly or directly?” [Answer] We can say them out loud if we want to for fun. Anybody interested in that? Well, I will pick people from the room, because Troy and Nick both make me laugh very much and at myself quite a lot. Do I…I don’t have to pick one, it doesn’t really matter, right? [MEntity] That is correct. [Comment] Okay [Answer] Oh I’m next? This is so sad, the only thing that makes me laugh is my cat. [Comment] I don’t think that’s sad at all. [MEntity] We will encourage you to think into a human circle of options. This could be a celebrity even. [MEntity] You are not on the spot, these are questions that, if you cannot answer now, or you feel on the spot, you can come back to or think as we continue. [Answer] I have coworkers I guess that, you know, we laugh, and, you know, we have levity. [Answer] For me, it’s my sister. [Answer] I wrote “Cyprus, my mother, Troy, myself, Kathy Griffen and Lucille Ball. Lucille Ball’s dead. [Comment] She is dead. [MEntity] Being dead or being alive is not a requirement, as long as they are active. And in this case, recordings or episodes certainly can still help to fulfill that. [Comment] Lucille Ball does make me laugh. [Comment] I was just saying today that Cyprus makes me laugh. I was telling Mark. Especially when she’s in distress. 6:50 [MEntity] Our next question for you, because we know the time is limited, “Who in your life is there no matter what.” [Answer] I pick the same two people. [Comment] Who are the two people? [Comment] You and Troy. [MEntity] Whether you are on good terms, bad terms, ups and downs, and even if that person is not currently active in your life, it is still someone who is there, that if you had to you could contact. You know where he or she is, you know how to contact them, and you know that you can. [Comment] Well, I may have to take Troy off my list in that regard then. (laughter) [Answer] I would say my father. [Comment] Me too. [Comment] Nicki? Paragraph? [Answer] I wrote “my mother, Cyprus, Troy, Christina, and my sister.” If I needed her, I know she’d be there. [Comment] With a switchblade out. [Comment] Oh yeah. [MEntity] Our next question would be, “Who or what circumstances tend to push your buttons, tend to agitate you?” [Answer] I’m gonna pick Troy and Nick! (laughter) [Comment] Circumstances… [Comment] Oh Mark… [Comment] It’s my turn to write a paragraph. [MEntity] Or put another way, “Who or what circumstances pushes you into discomfort at times.” [Answer] Um, I still might go with Troy and Nick, but also work. I get very stressed at work. But, Nick’s finding humor in my stress level earlier does not help with my life, does not make my stress level better. So, I’m sticking with what I have. [MEntity] Of course, these answers may change as you continue to explore these concepts, but this is a start. [Answer] That would be my job as well; the unstable, disfunctional company I work for. [Comment] Bobby? [Answer] I’m going with circumstances, and I said “being taken advantage of or being manipulated,” pushes my buttons. [Comment] Nicki? [Answer] I’m still thinking. Now I feel under pressure, I’ll just say that I wrote, “the neighbors lack of consideration, things not being good enough, people being really selfish and inconsiderate on the train,” really drives me crazy. That’s just…I’m sure there’s more, but that’s what I thought of. [MEntity] We will move on and we will come back to these. 10:25 [MEntity] First we will talk about Discipline. As you know, we like to share our perspective of concepts as a spectrum from positive to negative in terms of polarities. Discipline can be described as a polarity or spectrum, with polarities of encouragement as the positive pole and reinforcement as the negative pole. [MEntity] Keeping in mind that most of what passes for Discipline in current culture and even in past culture has been on the reinforcement side of things. Often, it is negative reinforcement, such as punishment. But there is also positive reinforcement, such as rewards. If you do something, you will be rewarded. If you don’t do something, you will be punished. Most people tend to then keep Discipline out of their lives, or at least resist the concept of Discipline, because of that emphasis of the negative pole. [MEntity] As you know, the negative pole, for our students who are familiar with our terminology, describes the more limited end of the spectrum, the more restricted end, the more focused end. [Question] Reinforcement is the negative pole you said? [MEntity] Yes. [MEntity] Therefore, when Discipline is being experienced from that negative pole, or taught from that negative pole, or brought into the life from that negative pole, it will tend to be something that you do not enjoy. Not always, some people do enjoy that: the rewards or the punishments. And especially in a Baby and Young soul paradigm, that end of the spectrum tends to work very well. If you are afraid, you will do what you are told to do. If you are rewarded, you will do what you are told to do. And so on. [MEntity] But as the soul grows older, this no longer works, and you would rather just stay away from the concept of Discipline unless you are told otherwise that it can work in your favor from the positive pole. And so what works better for the older soul is encouragement. There is no reward other than the experience itself. You do it because you want to do it. You do it because it evolves you. You do it because it moves you closer to whatever you were aiming for, rather than walking a tightrope between reward and punishment. [MEntity] Discipline is a position in your support circle of twelve, which we will not go into here, but is a familiar concept for our longterm students, and one that can be explored in our recordings or teaching elsewhere. [MEntity] There are twelve positions in your life that are always present as a form of support for you. These positions are played by other fragments who are active in your life. When you resist those positions, when you keep them from being fulfilled, when you do not allow the familiar fragments to step in and play those roles for you, then circumstances tend to fulfill those roles. [MEntity] As Discipline is basically a process of learning how to choose, then what will tend to happen, if you do not have a person in your life who is being encouraging or helping to provide structure, then you will tend to find yourself in circumstances that will push your buttons, that will challenge you, that will push you into a position where you become acutely aware of the process of choice. [MEntity] And we have used a simplistic example of standing in line behind somebody who is taking their time counting out their pennies and their coupons, and the frustration of standing and waiting. In that moment of agitation, you are experiencing the position of Discipline active in that moment. You are now in a position to make the choice to leave the line, to speak up and cause a scene, or to simply patiently wait. So the experience in those instances is an experience of acute awareness of the process of choice. [MEntity] For a lot of older souls, this is the only Discipline they have, because it is a passive form of Discipline. It just shows up, and it pushes your buttons, and it keeps you acutely aware of that process of choice. Those who are the least disciplined tend to have the most agitated experiences. Or those who have passively accepted the negative pole of Discipline will tend to draw those experiences in, so that it is always black and white, negative reinforcement or positive reinforcement. [MEntity] Do you understand so far? [Answer] Yes. 17:35 [MEntity] So to bring your consciousness to the process of Discipline means becoming active in the process of choice. Keep in mind that the whole point of Discipline and its reason for being in your support circle is because it is the very thing that helps to support your experience of freedom. [MEntity] Freedom and Discipline do not exist without each other. There is no such thing as freedom without structure. If you think about freedom without structure, you are thinking about a person free-falling. Yes that person can flail about as freely as they would like, but that is not quite the idea of freedom that most people think of when they are seeking freedom or would like to experience it. There must be something to hang on to, there must be structure, there must be parameters. [MEntity] So Discipline helps to shape the space in which you experience freedom, to shape the space and the time in which you experience freedom. This is why it is so important. When you do not have that structure, then you do not even recognize most of the time that you are so free, that you are capable of that freedom or the experience of that freedom. [MEntity] We will go further in this context to describe freedom as not being a slave to your emotions, not being a slave to time, not being a slave to your environment. In other words, Discipline frees you to make a choice that overrides anything else that you would normally find to be controlling you, such as your emotions or your anxiety. [MEntity] The circuit that must be understood for Discipline to work well in your life, begins by understanding that Discipline is an external process first and foremost. Discipline does not start internally. It works its way inward. Therefore, it takes your active effort in the world external to your consciousness to begin that process of Discipline, to begin that process of shaping the space and the time for your freedom. It is an active process. [MEntity] Once you have put into practice that external component, it begins to then become internalized so that it is no longer an effort. It is a part of you. It becomes an internal process. This is often seen by those who are wishing to become more fit and the process of exercising or putting into effect a routine of exercising. It does not happen from within. You must go to the gym. You must stand up. You must get up and move. You must take those steps first. Then it becomes a part of you. [MEntity] There are some concepts that start from within and then become more evident externally. In this case, it is something that starts externally and becomes an internal reality. But you must take those steps to do as a way of implementing Discipline. And when you do that, in general, it must come through the process of encouragement, not necessarily reinforcement through reward or punishment. [MEntity] However, in the same way that concepts that you would like to bring into your life anew begin internally or externally, so do the negative poles of a concept have to be processed first before moving into the positive pole. So when you begin the process of Discipline, when you begin the effort, you will begin from the end of reinforcement. You will have to have a sense of reward and punishment at the beginning. [MEntity] It usually works better for the older soul to use a reward reinforcement. So that if, let’s say, you are interested in exercising, that if you do your exercises for the day, you get to have a treat. This is positive reinforcement. This is not where you would like to stay, because then if there are no treats for that day, you may not implement the Discipline. [MEntity] So you must move into encouragement. And by encouragement, again we mean doing it for the sake of doing it. It is its own reward. And that means that when you go to exercise, you start to recognize that it is a value in itself. It is the treat, or whatever it is you are disciplining yourself to do. 25:12 [MEntity] Discipline is — we were originally speaking about it as a circuit — a circuit between the emotional and moving centers, or the inspirational and the action. These two components are the energy that must be in motion for Discipline to continue. In most cases, the reason you seek the process of Discipline is because something has inspired you to do so. You would like to lose weight, you would like to become fitter, you would like to whatever it is that would require Discipline. You are inspired to do so, and then you must take the action. And as you take the action, then the inspiration will show up again in different levels. And that cycle will continue. The more you do, the more you are inspired. [MEntity] That is very important to understand if you are going to actually practice the art of Discipline. It does not happen just because you are inspired. You must do. And just because you do, or rather when you do, the inspiration will become amplified. As that becomes amplified, your action becomes amplified and easier. Keeping that cycle going helps you to stay disciplined. [MEntity] This is supported by…let’s use a visual of a triangle so that at the foundation of your Discipline is action. That is the most important element of Discipline is the action. You must do even when you do not want to do. At the top of the pyramid or the triangle is the inspiration, because this is what you are aiming for. This is why you are implementing the Discipline in the first place. However, the sides could be described as being supported by the intellect and the assimilation, or the expression and the neutral. [MEntity] What this means is, in the process of the cycle of being inspired and doing – amplifying your inspiration, amplifying your doing – you must have some sort of plan, and that would be where the intellect comes in. You must have a plan. If you are going to practice the art of Discipline, it helps to have steps. It helps to have a path mapped out. This path can change. This path can be updated. It can be flexible, but you must have at least a few steps in mind as to where to go. If you do not have this, then you will not be able to reach, or continue, or sustain that cycle between the inspiration and the action. [MEntity] The assimilation side of the triangle is your comprehension or your digestion of the experience. In other words, when you get to step two, you must recognize it, you must assimilate, omprehend what you have done, give yourself credit, allow yourself to enjoy that process. Or, if you’re still at the negative end of that Discipline, allow yourself that reward. The assimilation side can be said to be the flexible side. You have to have that along with the structure or the plan. [MEntity] Are all of you following this? [Answer] Yes. 30:15 [MEntity] When we asked you your questions earlier, we asked them because in the circle of support that we have as part of our teaching, there are twelve positions. That circle of twelve is basically groups of three, because one of the ways – or rather the only way – in which evolution occurs is through the triadal process, which is also why we described the pyramid or the triangular visual so that we can make this point: that it is a process of three. There are always three sides or three elements that perpetuate or evolve a process. [MEntity] So in the circle of twelve, your Discipline support position is flanked by a Humor position and an Anchor. If you wish to implement Discipline in your life, it can help you to recognize where the Humor is in your life – or the sources of Humor in your life – and the Anchor in your life. This helps you when you are having difficulty remaining disciplined. [MEntity] Those support positions, your Humor position and your Anchor position, will help you to laugh at yourself, or to laugh. When the difficulties of implementing Discipline may seem overwhelming or daunting, turn to your Humor as a way to not lose your footing. This would be the equivalent of the intellectual side or the expression side of the same triangular visual. You must have Humor as a part of that process for you to truly be disciplined, to truly be experiencing it as an art. [MEntity] And you must have an Anchor. The Anchor is that neutral space that you can turn to that you know will not judge you, or that if the person does judge you, is doing so as a form of support in some way. So whoever was identified as Anchor can be turned to, not necessarily to be actively involved in your endeavors, but simply turned to to talk to, to ask for advice, or even to be thought of as an example to help you keep your focus. [MEntity] The Discipline itself would be the base of the triangle. So those circumstances that push your buttons, let those help in being supportive of your capacity for not being ruled by your emotional reactions, not being ruled by reactions at all, freeing yourself from those moments where the process of choice has become extremely acute. [MEntity] As you are implementing the art of Discipline, because that is the base of your triangle, so to speak, that is going to be what you will see the most, that is what you are going to come across the most: the challenges to your capacity to choose. So it is in those moments that you, in making a conscious effort, can say, “Yes I will get up off the couch even though I do not feel like it, because I am not ruled by how I feel. I am ruled by my capacity to choose. I am free to choose despite how I feel. I am free to choose despite the limitations I experience in terms of time or in terms of environment.” You can work around it, you can work with it, but you are not ruled by it. [MEntity] As we said earlier, at the top of your triangle was the inspiration. In this case that would be you. Where Humor, Discipline at the bottom, and Anchor on the side, you are at the top. You are what is being supported. And ultimately you are the inspiration, because inspiration, which is different from Discipline, is something that is generated from within. However much you may think it is external because you see it outside of you and something else inspires you, it is because it is a reflection of something that is potential within you, that you’ve already recognized as a part of you. [Comment] I think that’s one of the greatest things that you’ve said. I remember that from before. [MEntity] Yes. Inspiration is never generated externally. It is reflected externally, but it is always a reflection of that which is already internal, or a part of your capacity or potential. Not always is it understood. For instance, there may be an inspiring artist that you love or find to be encouraging, but it does not necessarily mean you are supposed to replicate that person’s art or path, but to find what it is within that is artistic, for example. 37:48 [Question] I have a question. So, I understand that Discipline is the base of the triangle. So your Discipline position, like who is in that position for you, how does that apply too? [MEntity] If you have identified an actual person…we started off our questions for you in terms of the Discipline base of the triangle, asking you about circumstances, because those are most likely what you will comes across as you are trying to implement your efforts towards Discipline. It’ll be more circumstantial. However, if you know of a person who is in your life who helps to provide you with structure – who helps remind you of the importance of what you are doing, helps to remind you of the point of what you are doing, helps to remind you of the next steps – that individual can be turned to then for help in keeping your choices in order. [Question] Well, I already know Nick plays my Discipline position. He’s just a vacuuming gestapo mostly. So how does that really apply? He is a button-pusher, that’s for sure. [MEntity] We used that angle on that question because, as we said, that is what you will come across when there is no one around. Often it is because of those circumstances that you do not make the choices that you wish would contribute to your Discipline, but rather you fall out of Discipline because of circumstances. So it is important to understand that it is not just a person, but circumstances in this case that you will have to contend with in that process of Discipline. However, if you do know your Discipline position, that would be someone you can turn to to ask you to help make a plan, to help you to stay on track, to be your accountability partner, for instance. Do you understand? [Comment] I think. [MEntity] So it is not necessarily that they will push your buttons. That is the circumstantial side. However, the person who plays that role in your life can be the person who helps bring the structure to your plans, to help keep you on track and to help keep you responsible and accountable. [Comment] Okay. [MEntity] So that might be the person you confide in to say “This is what I plan to do, can you help me stay on track? Can I report in to you?” [MEntity] If you look at what we described, these are the elements that are what makes certain organizations successful in their endeavors because they implement these things…such as weight watchers or other fitness programs. [MEntity] We use those as examples because they are quite difficult for a lot of people to implement and they epitomize to a great extent the examples of the obstacles to the art of Discipline. But they are implementing these elements that we have described and that is why they can be successful if the person who is pursuing them stays on track. They may not describe their program in quite the same way, but all of those elements are still there. [MEntity] Understanding this or hearing what we have shared with you today, is just the beginning of putting into effect the art of Discipline. We understand that this is an intellectual sharing and a sharing of information, and you may take it and set it aside and forget about it. But if you take it and work with it, if you look at the components that we have shared with you and keep in mind the polarities and keep in mind that cycle of inspiration and action, you can accomplish or aim towards pretty much anything that you wish to accomplish or aim for, even as an old soul who is quite tired. [Personal Q and A section omitted due to privacy] 43:11 [MEntity] This prompts us to add one more element: that the greatest pitfall for all of you in the process of implementing the art of Discipline is comparison. You can defeat yourself faster than you can even begin if you start from a place of comparison. It is very difficult to sustain the cycle of inspiration and action if you are comparing yourself to those who are already successful or who exemplify your aim. It is one thing to see them as inspiration and quite another to compare yourself. So we want to point that out that comparison is not necessary as a part of your process [MEntity] For instance, in your pursuit of being a singer, if you compare yourself to other people, or compare yourself as to your age versus another, or your style versus or another, or your anything versus another, you are whittling away, chiseling away at your foundation. And you more often than not, will undermine your effort if you use that process of comparison. [MEntity] The other thing your comment prompted was a question to ask each of you that, in our description of Discipline, “How often do you feel you have used the negative end for your life versus the positive end?” [Answers omitted] [MEntity] You have just pointed out what we shared at the beginning of our session with you. Your culture tends to identify Discipline as a reward/punishment system, whereas the positive pole of Discipline is doing it for the sake of doing it, for the pleasure of it. It is not something that is necessarily tied to any reward or punishment. Therefore, it is important to understand that Discipline is always, and always will be, and always has been, a part of your life. It is that spectrum between reinforcement and encouragement. [MEntity] We will say that as you work through the spectrum of Discipline, it starts from the negative pole, from the end of reinforcement. So when you are being raised, it is important to understand cause and effect. It is important to understand the reward and the punishment. That is a healthy way to introduce children to the concept of Discipline. [MEntity] As you grow older and you begin to develop your own sense of your capacity to choose, then you must be able to choose or make choices based on your own system, your own compass, your own desires, your own parameters. If you fall back on a reward/punishment system that was defined by somebody else, you have locked yourself into somebody else’s paradigm for your life. It is not necessarily that you have to get rid of that, but you must grow beyond it. You can include it, but it does not have to be the same exact structure. [MEntity] For instance, the things that were important for you to understand as being right and wrong as a child become second nature as an adult. It makes sense to you that you don’t put your hand in the fire. It is not a matter of reward or punishment, it is simply just true. [Comment] The reward is not being burned. [MEntity] However if you live in fear of fire, because you were taught to be afraid of it as a way to protect you, then you are locked into a pattern that is not necessarily helpful or healthy. So as you grow older, you must eventually – and we say older not only in terms of physical growth, but your essence’s growth as well – you must eventually move toward the positive pole so that you are making choices based on encouragement rather than fear. [MEntity] Discipline is a part of your life every single day, whether you are aware of it or not. In the same way that Humor is a part of your day every single day, whether you are aware of it or not. It is always there. All of the positions that we describe as your support circle are there every single day: Love, Knowledge, Compassion, all of the twelve support positions. And for the sake of this session, Humor, Discipline, and Anchors are there every single day, whether you recognize them or not. 49:18 [Comment] I just want to bring up one other thing. I think I’m understanding it correctly, but I don’t think it can be emphasized enough the importance of that at some point in one’s development, even when you first start learning right from wrong, positive and negative reinforcers, whatever…but at some point along the journey if you’re not told you can choose, or if you are not encouraged to choose, or if you don’t learn to choose, I think maybe you’ll never develop a natural affinity towards something. [Comment] For me, case in point, I’m a person who doesn’t necessarily like to read, and hearing what they were just saying about you start off with our parents giving you these sets of values. I wasn’t necessarily read to as a child, but I was very intellectual and I read. But really all through high school, and even up through college, I would say ninety-five percent of the time I read because it was required reading for school and for education. So I didn’t read. I mean, I read comic books. [Comment] But I read because someone else was telling me there was something to be gained from reading, and I never developed this innate love for reading, which as an adult…you know, all my friends, all my coworkers: “What’d you do this weekend?” “Oh I went and got to read my new book.” And I’m like, “That is the last thing I would want to do is pick up a book.” That’s like the last form of like therapy or pleasure for me. And it’s because, at some point along the way, when I should have realized, “you can now turn it over and you can choose to read,” I never made it a choice to read. It was always about positive and negative reinforcement. [Comment] And so I think that’s very important, in terms of Discipline: to realize or to have someone share that with you at some point, that you can now start making the conscious choice to love things or not love things. [MEntity] Your point is valid, and that is part of the growing up process, especially for those who go through the 4th internal monad of developing their own identity. That is a part of a rite of passage in every life. If an individual chooses to take that rite of passage on, they will be able to go beyond their programming. As a part of the perpetuation of your species, your first many years, up through the 3rd internal monad, you are receptive to imprinting, because knowledge has to be shared with you as a way of evolving the species. Everything that is known is then programmed into you, and then what you do with that is up to you. [MEntity] Many people do not go beyond their programming. They live within the confines of what has been taught to them. When you go through the 4th internal monad, you go through a process of keeping what works for you and expanding beyond that through your own capacity to choose, through your own capacity the shape yourself and to move forward in your life. [MEntity] And so your point is valid and is relevant to the topic. That is Good Work. [Comment] Heh. Score for you. Now it’s ten after five. [Personal Q and A omitted due to privacy] [Comment] It’s twenty-five after. [MEntity] With that we then will conclude and say goodbye to each of you. [All] Goodbye. Thanks. [MEntity] Goodbye.

    Core Values of Server

[This material was originally posted by NickG as a private session transcript on May 18, 2016. Permission was granted for placement in the Study Library.] Nicholas33: Hello to you too Michael. When we had the session on manifesting essence you stated something along the lines of the role having core values as a foundation to build upon. You gave me some examples for the Sage but I was wondering if I can have the core values of the other roles as well. MEntity: Yes ... SERVERS - Caring, Inspiration, Peace, Intuition, Permission, Vulnerability, and being living examples of Interdependence. Keep in mind that these Core Values will be upheld in some way, even if they are upheld in desperate and unhealthy ways. These can be upheld in ways that serve only the self, serve only others, or serve a balance between the two. ### end of transcript ### Note: You may comment on the original post. Clear White Light

These challenging times are leading us all to a Clear White Light. We all know this. Curiously, the music of my youth has chosen to return to my ears in the last few days and it brings me great comfort, joy and hope to remember it. Lindisfarne were a local Newcastle band during the 70's, we shared the same stomping ground and they were much loved. This song is an inspiration to me. If you've never heard it, please listen and if like me, you know it well, please recreate your former joy.
  6. OMW - May 17, 2014 - You and Your Reflections Channel: Troy Tolley [CocteauBoy] ANNOUNCES: okay, I had planned for everyone to receive the OMW in advance so these chats could be used for more interactive time, but that flopped miserably. Just like the other Reports that had been offered over the years, I've come to discover that some things require the presence of others for the channeling to flow. I don't know why that is. [CocteauBoy] CONTINUES: so, for the next OMW, I am going to meet with Bobby and/or Geraldine so we can get the OMW in early. That should work. [CocteauBoy] So to accommodate today's chat, since we are going to get the details live, if anyone feels as if they do not get much interactive time, please feel free to grab a 15M Time Bloc 9:32 AM 5/17/2014 [MEntity] Hello to each of you. We are here, now. We can begin. [MEntity] The subject of focus today is the Inspirational Axis and how this works for each of you as a source of information. [MEntity] All Axes are in constant effect around and within an individual, regardless of whether these are consciously acknowledged, utilized, or rejected. The Moving, Intellectual, and Emotional, or the Action, Expression, and Inspirational, are constantly at work in a dynamic dance within and without. [MEntity] Even the most sedentary of bodies will still have the Action Axis at work in the functions of the body, for example. [MEntity] Of course, the mere existence and presence and functioning of these Axes do not inherently mean they are serving you well, or helping. Consciousness must often come into play for the benefits to be extracted. [MEntity] Yes, the functions of a sedentary body will automatically continue with or without your effort to move, but your conscious effort to move makes a world of difference. [MEntity] When speaking of Inspiration, it is to speak of what you see as YOU in something or someone. [MEntity] When one feels inspired, it is not a force that is emitting from the inspiring art or person, it is you seeing you in that art or person. [MEntity] In most cases of what people think of as "inspiring," that "you" is a higher "you," better you, different you, full of potential, possibility, and then if this inspiration is utilized, you would seek to match that in your own behaviors, efforts, perceptions, etc. [MEntity] If you see an armless woman creating art with her feet, it is not that you now wish to create art with your feet if you feel inspired by that person. It is most likely that you simply see in her that you, too, can overcome what might have seemed like an obstacle to your own expression or accomplishment, and then you work to bring that "you" to the forefront of your challenges. [MEntity] All forms of Inspiration are inspiring TO YOU because they are telling you something about YOU. [MEntity] If you are inspired by music, it is not often that it is meant that you wish to re-create that music, but that it is music that brings you back to you, to a part of you that may easily be forgotten, overshadowed, etc. So all Inspiration is really about bringing you back to you. [MEntity] What we have mentioned, so far, is Inspiration that is fairly easy to spot. This is what most mean by "inspiring." [MEntity] But Inspiration, like everything, has its spectrum, and not all of it is obvious. [MEntity] If Inspiration is all about seeing yourself around you, and seeing ways to bring you back to you, or to bring more of you out of you, then nearly everything you see is some form of Inspiration. [MEntity] More accurately put: nearly everything that catches your attention is some form of inspiration. [MEntity] On the Positive end of the spectrum of Inspiration, it is REFLECTION. [MEntity] This is the end of the spectrum where you tend to see the best of you in others, in events, in arts. [MEntity] REFLECTION can be broken down into PASSIVE and ACTIVE forms of Inspiration. [MEntity] PASSIVE REFLECTION is basically Empathy. [MEntity] Empathy is triggered in you when you see you in someone or something. It is when there is no differentiation between yourself and that which is benefiting or suffering, successful or failing, happy or sad. [MEntity] It is not that you confuse yourself with that person or thing, but that you simply see yourself through or in that thing or person. [MEntity] There is no effort necessary. It is a dynamic that is inherent in your evolution from experiences. [MEntity] ACTIVE REFLECTION is Awareness. [MEntity] This is a state the comes before the Passive State. [MEntity] This is a kind of inspiration that continues to return to you in a way that seems to be asking for your attention, inviting you to see something different, but that you must actively participate in as a means to truly bring empathy. [MEntity] For instance, it may come to one's attention on a regular basis that the suffering of animals is unnecessary and that one can make a difference in that suffering, but it would take effort, action, changes. It is just outside of the edge of empathy. It is not that Reflection is missing, but that there is active resistance. This means active embrace would be needed. [MEntity] One might feel a draw toward the plight of homeless children, but be overwhelmed by what actions could possibly be made to make a difference, so it is kept in the realm of Awareness, but not Empathy. [MEntity] Awareness and Empathy are very close together. This is why there can be some confusion about what one "cares about" versus what one does something about. It is the difference between passive and active, empathy and awareness, but all of those things that matter to you are REFLECTIONS. [MEntity] Awareness is not just in terms of suffering, but also in terms of successes and happiness. One can be fully Aware of how one can make a difference in his or her life when inspired by another, but simply choose not to do so. You are AWARE because you see yourself in the happiness of that person, but you choose not to act. [MEntity] Keep this in mind when inspired by both suffering and pleasures; struggles and successes. Empathy is Passive because you are already there. Awareness is prompting you to do something so you can evolve. [MEntity] Do not pit these against one another, of course. They are merely informative. [MEntity] On the more restrictive end of the spectrum of Inspiration, or the Negative Pole, it could be said to be PROJECTION. [MEntity] Where Reflection invites you to see yourself in things and people around you, Projection is when you impose or superimpose yourself on things and people around you. It is no longer about what you see, but about what you wish to see. [MEntity] PASSIVE PROJECTION could be described as OMENS. [MEntity] "You have seen this before so it must mean this again now." [MEntity] If a person is behaving a certain way, it MUST be because his intentions are "this." [MEntity] Because you know this from your own experience, and your experience is all that matters. [MEntity] If it happened to you, then it must be universally true. Or if you have seen it before, it must always mean the same things. [MEntity] You are no longer reflected in something or someone, but you are projected. This Passive side to Projection is prejudiced, biased, invested, and conclusive. [MEntity] This is still Inspiration because it is still about YOU SEEING YOU. You are still seeing YOU in that person or event or thing. But on this end of the spectrum, it is about protecting yourself from your experiences. [MEntity] On this Passive side of Projection, it is about patterns that you are ready to heal. [MEntity] On the ACTIVE side of PROJECTION, it is DEFENSE. [MEntity] Active Projection is when one does not like what one sees about oneself in others. [MEntity] You see a "weak person" and it disgusts you. This is because you see yourself as weak, and it disgusts you. And the best way to keep from being disgusted with yourself is to be disgusted by others. It is an active defense against that which you refuse to heal. [MEntity] You see an obnoxious or inconsiderate person and you are repulsed. This is because you self-monitor and criticize yourself to such a degree that it angers you that someone else might not have to do so, as well. It is unfair. [MEntity] Your Defensive Projections tell you where you refuse to heal. It tells you where you have gained some righteous footing in your wounding. [MEntity] Your Ominous/Omenous Projections tell you what you are willing to heal, but that you still wish for others to do the work of that healing. [MEntity] Your Aware Reflections tell you where you are in your evolution, and what steps could move you forward in this life. [MEntity] Your Empathic Reflections tell you where you have been, and how far you have come, and where you are, even if you have forgotten. [MEntity] Do each of you see these variations in your life? [ViP1] I do Michael [Maureen] Yes [ViP1] although some stand out more than others [LisaC] yes [Claire2] Oh yes. [GeraldineB] Yes, I see that I'm far more Aware than Empathic -- and do see that Projection issue has still solidly in place [DianeHB] Yes [MEntity] We wish to clarify that this map is a matter of information, not a matter for reprimanding yourselves or assessing where you are lacking or should do differently. That is not our point, and that approach would not be helpful at all. Instead, this is information. It can help you to make the choices you wish to make, to take the steps you wish to take, that you are ready to take, and to accept those areas where you may now realize are helping you to heal. [Jana_K] I can clearly understand Defensive Projections [Jana_K] Still catching up with the other ones (I was a bit behind reading the transcript) [MEntity] All of you are wounded. Most of you will be all the way until your last breath and beyond the last life. Many wounds require Review to fully heal. However, the more consciousness you bring to where you are wounded, and how you project that wounding upon others, the more choice you have within a life to free yourself from that, and to move into awareness and empathy. [MEntity] YOUR HOMEWORK: (if you choose) [MEntity] Look at what inspires you in the most common sense of the word. What elates you, lifts you, makes you feel a return to yourself, "inspired." List a few of these so you can look at how these might reflect your evolution, your experiences that have been integrated, and let yourself embrace that vastness. [MEntity] Look at what keeps coming to your attention for making a change. Something gentle, but somehow important. Haunting you in some way without being nagging. Look at what a few of these might be, and realize that these are messages from you, asking you for that one step or action that might shift you into a different perspective, experience, and empathy. [MEntity] Choose one or two, and let yourself make that leap. [MEntity] Look at what you constantly see around that is irritating and agitating, constantly meaning something distracting to you. Let yourself in on the fact that there is wounding here that may need your attention, and it might be time to do the work of that healing, instead of presuming it is someone else's problem or cause. [LisaC] Are we meant to list them here, or just think about it? [MEntity] In those instances where you are ready to heal, it is often only a matter of choice in that moment when you are next triggered. Do you react? Or do you respond? Let yourself be triggered, but unless you are in some way being truly violated, you may simply be able to soothe your feathers and see the experience in a different way. [MEntity] You do not have to know exactly what the wound is, or how it got there, or what to do to heal it. Just shifting the experience will usually begin that process. [MEntity] (Lisa, this is for you to do on your own.) [MEntity] And finally, look at what you righteously stand on as justified disgust or repulsion. List 3 things that "really get to you." These are almost incapacitating in their effects, angering, or depressing, defeating. [MEntity] These are areas where you refuse to heal because you probably have more work to do in that area of your life, or across lives. [MEntity] This can help you to gain insight into your Self-Karma and Karma. [MEntity] Now, before we leave you with all of that, we will return to the point that this is only INFORMATIVE. [MEntity] For example, if you are repulsed and angered by the raping of a child, there is nothing wrong with you. For most of you, this wounding will carry forward through to the last of your lives, as most of you will have had this experience stored in your Instinctive Centers and networked among the species. Some wounding is IMPORTANT. [MEntity] The quadrants of Inspiration are there to help you sort out your experiences, to use them in ways that evolve you, and to use them in ways that help you to help others. [MEntity] So what you would want to do is look at what wounding may be serving you, and which ones are not. Those that are not serving you are probably those that can be healed, shifted, and moved toward Empathy. [MEntity] If your wounding helps you to navigate, then it is serving you. If it debilitates you and incapacitates you, then it is not. [Maureen] Michael, you said: The quadrants of Inspiration are there to help you sort out your experiences, to use them in ways that evolve you, "and to use them in ways that help you to help others". In what ways can we help others? [MEntity] If it is not serving you, it can move into healing. [MEntity] Maureen, if a child is being raped or abused, or an animal is fighting for its life on a factory farm, and there is repulsion at these ideas, then your prompt to intervene is helpful, not just for yourself, but others. Inspiration is always about you, but it can often be about how you can help others to be more of themselves, too. The point is not to aim for apathy, but empathy, so some wounding will always stay sensitive and raw. [MEntity] Repulsions do not have to be toward such obvious scenarios, but about how another makes choices, behaves, affects others, etc. However, in those more nuanced scenarios, one must do the work of assessing whether this Projection is based on beneficial wounding to help you navigate, or if it is simply a deflection from your own responsibilities to make different choices and behaviors, yourself. [MEntity] As a simplistic example, if one has been threatened when walking down a street at night, it is fair to then reconsider a different route the next time. This is helpful and increased your navigational skills. If you, instead, now never go out at night at all, you have probably fallen into a Self-Karmic or Karmic scenario. [MEntity] As Troy has suggested, if any of you would like to discuss a couple of your forms of Inspiration as both Reflection or Projection, you would now schedule 15 minutes with us so that we may focus on that with you. For now, we will leave you with this mapping of Inspiration to help you take a new look at your spectrum of experiences and how you arrange them. [MEntity] Good day to each of you. 11:22 AM 5/17/2014

    Michael on Inspiration

Inspiration channeled by Troy 2004 Keep in mind that the nature of Inspiration is generated from within, not found outside. When one feels a lack of inspiration, one speaks of a lack of motivation. Lack of motivation is often the result of lacking specificity and direction. We would suggest the following steps for revitalizing your Inspiration, Motivation, and Direction: 1. Determine SPECIFICALLY what you wish to CHANGE. When one lacks Inspiration, it is because something needs to change that is not changing; even more accurately, it is because a great deal of energy is being used to sustain a direction that is outdated and unfulfilling and, therefore, requiring an equal amount of effort to change it. The main reason one continues in a direction that is unfulfilling or lacking inspiration is because one has not defined EXACTLY what one wants to change. Your change may be multifaceted, and if that is the case, choose the most obvious and accessible facet for which to start your efforts. 2. Determine your first 3 steps toward implementing the actions required to nurture that change. Even if this step takes more than a few efforts, determine your next 3 steps and map them out. It is necessary for this step to be in place because it will be important to be able to measure your redirection. Your next 3 steps should tangible. In other words, these steps should include your Body, your Actions, Doing something. Your Emotions and Intellect are often far ahead of your Body in terms of Change and awareness of your needs and wants, but your Body needs to follow through. 3. Follow through. Once action has been implemented, you can adjust your flow of direction and choices, but you must follow through for results to being resonating to your internal flow of inspiration.

    Energy Report: APRIL 2012

ENERGY REPORT APRIL 2012 APRIL marks the shift of emphasis for the year into the explorations of the Mode, which is Passion this year. The Mode describes one’s method for pursuing the Goal, and for how one relates and interacts. Passion describes the process of freeing the Emotions/Inspiration as a means of achieving one’s Goal and relating. This freeing of Emotions results in an expansion of the self and Essence in a way that encompasses anything within the range of attention and focus. In the Positive Pole, this is Self- Actualization, or the process of becoming more of who you are through this encompassing energy. In the Negative Pole, we find Identification, which is the process of losing oneself through that same encompassing energy. As April unfolds, there may be a burst of this Passion energy for our students that comes out of nowhere and surges through in a way that may feel quite nice, especially if the year has not been so invigorating so far. For those who have been fatigued, down, and rather flat as the year has begun, this surge may almost feel electrical, and while it may feel better than the flatness, it may also be a bit jarring and nerve-wracking. For those who have started the year energetically and feeling good, this Passion may not be as obvious, but simply help sustain a momentum. Regardless of how Passion shows up, for most there will begin a shift of emphasis away from accomplishments and intentions for the year (Goal), and toward attention to the quality of experience related to those general intentions and directions (Mode). In other words, the WHAT begins to include the HOW. In this case, the How is Passion. This means that there would now come to be an assessment that considers how Inspiration and Emotion may be blocked, ignored, unwieldy, etc. Passion tends to turn its attention toward reflections and representations. It begins to ask, “What does this say about me?” “What does this mean about me?” “How does this represent or reflect me?” “Where am I in this?” This kind of questioning leads to an assessment of one’s integrity, honesty, and clarity of the self and Essence in the intentions and relationships. When Passion Mode is healthy, it is a regular assessment of the self and its integrity, honesty, and clarity as it moves itself through relationships, goals, and intentions as ways to reflect and collect parts of the self. The more clearly and honestly this is done, the more one generates inspiration and emotional fulfillment, and this becomes a kind of circuit of benefit for all involved. When Passion is in the Negative Pole, that assessment shifts its attention toward others, to things and events, and becomes a constant monitoring of how those are expected to be extensions of the self, instead of reflections. For instance: a Positive Pole Passion Mode might make dinner for a loved one and let that dinner simply reflect his or her honest and clear intentions to fulfill a practicality, or to express love, or to be nurturing, and if that loved one likes the dinner, or does not, has no bearing on what that dinner reflects about the self. A Negative Pole Passion Mode would lose his or her sense of self in the dinner as it becomes an extension of the self. The sense of self is now hooked into, and dependent upon, whether the loved one likes, enjoys, rejects, praises, the dinner. The dinner no longer represents or reflects the self, but IS the self, and the value and meaning is then forced upon the dinner and the loved one to uphold. And so it is that over the April, May, and June, our students may begin an assessment and exploration that looks at one’s integrity and honesty in relationships and intentions, and determines if these are valid reflections of the self and Essence, or if they may be imposed extensions of the self. As you explore over the next few months, it may become obvious to you if you have imposed yourself upon others, or into intentions and things, as extensions of yourself, expecting them to comply and fulfill and validate your sense of self. It will then be up to you to free them from that imposition, and to bring them back into being honest reflection of parts of you through which you become more, become self-actualized. Helpful thoughts over APRIL might be: 1) BECOMING MORE OF WHO YOU ARE DOES NOT MEAN MAKING OTHERS BECOME YOU As you move through Passion Mode, allow room for everyone to represent and reflect themselves. Anything, anyone, and everything can be a reflection and representation of you, but when you begin to expect them to be extensions of you, Self-actualization takes a backseat to the panic of Identification. When your world is presumed to be only extensions of you, there is no room for anyone else. 2) INSPIRATION IS A MATTER OF REFLECTION, NOT EXTRACTION Inspiration is generated from within, and then reflected around you. What you find inspiring is a reflection of what you know as potential, value, honesty, integrity, clarity within you. What you find inspiring is a means of creating a circuit between your inner and outer world, but your inner world is not dependent upon extracting potential, value, honesty, integrity, and clarity from other people or things. It is helpful, then, to embrace your own potential, value, honesty, integrity, and clarity because that is when it begins to show up all around you in your world, helping you to become even more of you. DATES OF INTEREST APRIL 1st - APRIL 3rd - a Divergence (branching of parallels) Nexus for those who have some versions of the life ending in some way, where “the passion has died.” APRIL 25th - APRIL 29th- A Convergence Nexus with an emphasis on reunion, community, and a leap into exponential expansion of potential through meaningful group dynamics.
  9. ENERGY REPORT 2010 Overleaves 010110 WHAT IS AN ENERGY REPORT and "OVERLEAVES FOR THE YEAR?" Though energies shift, change, and adapt all year, there is a general energy that can be said to affect the calendar year, at least in terms of your shared reality. Our Overleaves system can be used to describe any collection of energies, ranging from the dynamics of the actual Personality to the general “mood” of a room, society, fictional character, theme of groups, or a planet’s general atmosphere of consciousness. In addition to this, when a block of time is selected, that time frame can be translated into a description of energies based on what we perceive as the momentum of events, consciousness, and choices that will POTENTIALLY contribute to that period of time. The Overleaves for a year, then, are our interpretation of those events, consciousness, and choices as we see that they are most likely to be brought to bear in your world. The more participating one is in “the world,” the more likely these energies will be of concern, though one’s inactivity does not exempt one from world or local energies, anymore than staying inside can take away the fact of a rainstorm. The rainstorm outside can have as much an effect on one inside as on one who is outside, depending on personal interpretations and experiences of that rainstorm. The very basic energy, or basic context, of a year can be described in two Overleaves: the Role and the Center. These two basic energies are those that can contribute to your year feeling "comfortable" or "challenged" during the year unfolding, depending on your own Overleaves and your method of participation in "the world." These two energies are most obvious in the first three months of a year, but their effects will remain steady throughout the year. It can be said that ALL of the Overleaves we use to describe the year are in effect ALL year, but the particular frames of time described below are the "seasonal" emphasis of those particular Overleaf qualities. General “Seasonal” Energy emphasis: The ENTIRE YEAR is based within the energies described by the ROLE and CENTERING. January through March implements and emphasizes the GOAL. April through June implements and emphasizes the MODE. July through September implements and emphasizes the ATTITUDE. October through December implements and emphasizes the CHIEF FEATURE. With all of that being explained, we would describe the highest probable energy for the year 2010 with these Overleaves: 2010 OVERLEAVES ROLE: Sage CENTERING: Emotional PART OF CENTER: Moving GOAL: Dominance MODE: Power ATTITUDE: Spiritualist CHIEF FEATURES: Arrogance/Self-deprecation While we do not, and cannot, "predict", we can share with you what the basic energies of the Centering and Role may mean for you in the year ahead. 2010's OVERALL TONE and CONTEXT The greatest shift between last year's energy and this year's energy is the movement from passivity, flow, and surrender into activity, direction, and creativity. Last year's energy was all about adjustments, adaptations, waiting, watching, dealing, learning, while this year appears to be a pattern of exploration showing up through inspiration, action, leadership, direction, possibilities, confidence, and self-esteem. The base energy, or Centering for the year looks to us to be Emotional, which means to us that this is a year that would emphasize the INSPIRATION Axis, which might prompt revitalized dreams, ideas, plans, and intentions that may have felt to be on hold for some time before. The Part of Centering is Moving, which means to us that the Inspiration would be followed by Action. In other words, the time of rest, flow, surrender, waiting, and simply adapting to what has come to unfold from last year is over, and a renewed wave of energy is surging and rising among people for making a difference in preferred directions, and having the motivation and energy available to make that effort. The Emotional Center has as its Positive Pole PERCEPTION, which is the capability of assessing a relationship, person, or event with accuracy beyond any intellectual or physical contradictions. Perception is a non-linear, non-logical form of intelligence that is dependent on resonance and empathy as a means to discern. It is the process of "seeing past the obvious" and into the heart of a relationship, person, or event. It does not require understanding, proof, or tangibilities, but simply "knows." If the emphasis moves in this Positive Pole direction, 2010 could see the dissolving of many factions, divisions, and conflicts that have plagued the past year, bringing a new sense of unity among various parts of countries that has been missing for quite some time. The Emotional Center has its Negative Pole as SENTIMENTALITY, which is the blurring of lines between symbol and essence so that the symbols become the very things they represent. Sentimentality is attachment to a perception that is locked in place by what represented that perception, and is often outdated. For instance, if one experienced a sense of freedom and innocence as a child, then Sentimentality would not only equate childhood with freedom and innocence, but it would leave the possibilities of qualities like freedom and innocence locked in the past of childhood. If the emphasis moves in this Negative Pole direction, 2010 may find itself falling into a struggle to return to the past, to revert, reverse directions in ways that falsely symbolize experiences that are felt to be currently missing. In general, 2010's Center and Part of Center will mostly show up as a fast-paced, rather impulsive tone that leads many on high adventures, both internally and externally, along with some amount of over-sensitivity and overreaction at times. We see the year ahead in terms of Role as being best described by SAGE. We see this as indicating a craving for knowledge, substance in communication and entertainment, and deeper and more intimate dialog about the issues at hand in your world. Based on patterns we can see unfolding among most, 2010 may become a rather entertaining, dramatic, suspenseful, theatrical, exciting, playful, and fun year ahead with a great emphasis on technology, media, performances, teachings, education, communication, and outrageousness. It seems to us that most are craving a brake from the seriousness of the past several years and from the impending concerns of 2012, so Sages and Sage energy is being called to the foreground of life and events. In fact, it would not surprise us if at least 3 new media icons come into awareness who are Sages, and 2 more well-known Sages coming back into positions of influence as a kind of rekindling of career. Because of the Sage influences, we see the year ahead as one that might find a wave of craving among people for knowledge, updated philosophies, changes in the school systems, a patronizing of more refined arts, and a leap in technology that would be in the realm of entertainment. Often the funding for more practical uses of technology comes first through the use of it as entertainment. One of the ways we see the straddling of practical, but entertaining, uses of technology in your next decade appears to be the establishment of personal robots as fairly common; to the extent that personal electronic devices have become rather common over the first decade. Those personal devices may find their uses extended to their uses in remotely controlling various robotic, or "intelligent" devices associated with the home, vehicles, and work. The Positive Pole of Sage is DISSEMINATION. This is the process of sharing information in a way that can be heard and comprehended. If the move is more toward the Positive Pole, 2010 could find a highlight being the dissolving of barriers among groups that had previously found challenges in communication, language, and sharing of information. The Negative Pole of Sage is ORATION. This is the process of dumping information upon those who have no interest, communicating with presumptions about the listeners, and speaking in ways that have no value beyond filling space and time. If the move of energy is more toward the Negative Pole, 2010 could find in retrospect to have been an exercise in information overload, mental masturbation, deceit, empty promises, arguments, grandstanding, obnoxiousness, and "bullshit." Keep in mind that both the Positive and Negative Poles would be explored in any year, but one end of the spectrum may tend to dominate as the year unfolds. Because so many appear to be ready for a break, and ready to make uplifting changes within their personal lives, it would seem to us that the pattern may find a Positive Pole leaning, but this cannot be predicted, only speculated. KEY PHRASES FOR THE YEAR Based on these two basic contexts for the year ahead, we would suggest a few key phrases in mind for helping to navigate your choices: IT IS NEVER TOO LATE TO BE HAPPY However cliche this phrase has become, we suggest this because it is simply true, in any year. Because of the emphasis of Emotional Sage energy over 2010, there may be a wave of nostalgia and longing for a return to simpler times when you felt you were happier. These waves of feelings are invitations for recreating the qualities you crave, but with new symbols. Experiences that bring joy are never locked in the past by the previous reasons for those experiences. It is simply that new experiences are required to act as media for your joy and happiness. Which leads us into our next key phrase. RECREATE THE QUALITIES, NOT THE SYMBOLS You may never be able to be a child again, but you can experience the joys you remember having as a child. You may never be able to return to a relationship you long for, but you can invite a new relationship that provides the same qualities of experience as one from the past. You may have missed out on fulfilling your intentions in your youth, but your intentions can be fulfilled at any point in your life, even if you have to alter the method, process, and details to accommodate your adulthood. INSPIRATION COMES FROM WITHIN, NOT WITHOUT In a year that is inspirational, it can be easy to assume that external things, people, and events are the source of inspiration, but that is never the case. Only when one has allowed room within oneself for his or her own inspiration does the external show up. If you find yourself inspired by an external thing, person, or event, it means you have already generated that source from within. All external sources of inspiration are only reflections of your internal resources, given shape. This can come in handy for those of you who might "sit around" and wait for inspiration to show up. You may have to still wait patiently for your inner world to settle so that you may access your sense of inspiration, but you will not have had to wait for it to show up outside of you somehow. This does not mean that you cannot look for it externally, but keep in mind that if one seeks inspiration externally, you merely seek a mirror for clarity of what is already within you. For instance, if you are suddenly inspired by a display of nature, you have simply found your reflection given form externally, and this can be helpful, especially when seen as information about your own resources, instead of being dependent upon these symbols.
  10. Ask Michael Live Chat Open Floor Q&A November 2, 2014 Channel: Troy Tolley MEntity: Hello to each of you. We were not "kidding" about the wave of short-circuiting issues over the next month or so. It is rather pervasive and growing. MEntity: We will leave the order up to Geraldine to manage. We will simply say that you may begin your questions. We are ready. TyroneT: My question is about human psychology. I know the Michael definition or explanation of male and female energy is a matter of focus versus creativity, but I don't remember exactly where I found it (it could have even been from another channel), but I'm sure I've seen somewhere the statement that one difference between human males and females is a tendency towards certain centering. TyroneT: One area that this knowledge for me would be applied are in the issues of the LGBT community, especially the transgender community, so if it's possible, I'd like connections to that. I doubt a full-enough elaboration will fit into fifteen minutes, so just a tidbit or foundational info from which to base later session questions on would be enough. TyroneT: Official Question: What are the psychological differences, tendencies, or characteristics inherent in having a physically male or female body/brain/subtle body? MEntity: First, we find there is little consistency among Gender correlation with Centering, but high consistency with cultural paradigms. Cultures and societies are predominantly of one Centering and/or Part over the others. Centering is not biological in any way. The Centering of an individual is not settled upon as a habitual form of navigation until the 2nd Internal Monad, and is then fairly stable, however, Centering is designed to be flexible and to change, not to be static. MEntity: Next, in response to your "official" question, we will say that the only differences between bodies in terms of male and female are the degrees of consciousness. The less-conscious a Personality, the more it's identity, behavior, processes, and navigation are based from the base functions of the sex. MEntity: To help in understanding this, a male body without an Essence is 100% Male, 100% focused, 100% linear, 100% the stereotype of the pervasive ideal of what it means to be a male Human on Earth. However, the Energy Ratio of an Essence alters this. This alteration begins at birth, and takes about 7 years for a full adjustment. MEntity: There will never be, and never has been, a Human who is 100% male or 100% female. TyroneT: ok. I'll ask about various lbgt phenomena later MEntity: However, regardless of one's Energy Ratio, if the Essence is rejected, then, say, if one has a High Female Energy, but is in a Male Body, that Male/Focused Energy will tend to dominate. MEntity: And by dominate, we do not mean that it would make the individual masculine or necessarily functioning by standards of behavior attributed to "males," but it will dominate in many ways, subtle or obvious. It will be aggressive, forceful, reactionary, etc. MEntity: This subject is far too complex and intricate for us to cover in 15 minutes. We know we have not covered a response to your question, but we suggest this be a topic for further exploration. 01:02:04 PM JanaK: Hello Michael. Can you please give generic tips for someone looking to move a country for the sake of personal and professional growth and adventure - other than obvious research? JanaK: I.e. how to gauge whether a particular place would be good for me - other than visiting it? JanaK: Or whether such radical move would even be good for me? JanaK: Or whether there are more desirable vectors where I am or where I am considering moving to? MEntity: Jana, to make a decision such as this, and to do so "blindly," would mean using one's intuition. Using one's intuition means LISTENING. By "listening" we mean to say that intuition is soft, subtle, and impulsive. It is not loud, pushy, or compulsive. So if you feel compelled to move somewhere, feel pushed to do so, and feel distracted by it, we suggest allowing that to come up and be acknowledged, then set gently aside as you listen to see what is beyond that noise. Your intuition may say the same things, but you just want to check in with that less-distracted, panicked, or anxious part of the self for validation of one's sense of direction. MEntity: In addition to this, if your compulsion to move is motivated by a feeling or idea that life will be better somewhere else, check in with yourself to see if that is valid. A change of scenery and geography can do wonders for altering the life in positive ways, but only if that change of scenery is the actual part that is key. In other words, moving to another location does not leave YOU or your life behind. You will still have to deal with your feelings, history, beliefs, wounds, etc. Our point being that if the move is motivated by escape from the self, then it is often more helpful to direct the movement internally, not externally. MEntity: If you can check in with yourself and listen to the softer voice of impulse and creativity within, and it is not hijacked by anxiousness and overeagerness to escape, then your next step is to look at the locations that appeal to you. MEntity: These locations appeal to you for various reasons, including potential, Agreements, Sequences, Vectors, etc., but they are only a part of the story. MEntity: Potential, Agreements, Sequences, Vectors, can be anywhere, and you could throw a dart at a map and these would spring up in activation relative to wherever you move. But there is validity to your sense of attraction to an area because those areas are already active with those elements. Though you can find Agreements, etc. anywhere, it can make a difference that they are already active and negotiated when you arrive. MEntity: So once you have concluded that you are choosing to move because you want to move, and not as a means of escape (unless there is a valid threat), then you can narrow your choices down by the simple sense of attraction to locations. Narrow these down to 3, and put up a symbolic image of each so that you can see these on a daily basis. MEntity: As you pass these symbols on a daily basis over a week or so, note which one your eye is drawn to the most. Be mindful that your eye may be drawn only because of the image you picked, but this will not matter. Once you notice which one is standing out, and you play with the idea that this is the location you will aim to move, you will feel the pang of resistance to that place versus one of the others. MEntity: From there, it is a matter of honoring your choice. 01:22:08 PM Kurtis: Hey Michael, like last time with Saturnine body type health, would you please elaborate on the martial body type health? Thanks. MEntity: Martial Body Type Health corresponds to the Adrenals of the body. This means that the Martial Body Type can be greatly affected by its capacity for management of stress. In fact, while stress is a factor for all body types, in the Martial Body Type, it is far more immediately converted into effects. MEntity: Various forms of Catecholamines are released on a regular basis in response or reaction to experiences. This range of hormones are responses and reactions to stress. These tend to have the Martial Body Type health in a constant state of fight or flight, regarding experiences. MEntity: Hormones that manage various minerals and water content of the body are connected to the Adrenals, and have direct effect upon the individual's blood pressure. Other effects from the Adrenals are reflected in the metabolism, as well as the differentiating processes between the male bodies and female bodies in Androgens. MEntity: When this is balanced, the Martial Body Type is long-suffering, enduring, and can manage to navigate some of the most debilitating obstacles of health and existence. MEntity: When this is imbalanced, it can show up as extreme lethargy, constant stress and anxiety, hyper-agitation and over-reaction, along with extremes of anger, temper, and depression. MEntity: In some extremes, there can come to be a developed hatred and self-loathing for the body as it is represented by its gender, and this can lead to self-mutilation and rejection of the gender. MEntity: Overall, the Martial Body Type is all about the physical manifestation of all energy that passes through that body, whether in thought or emotion. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Catecholamine 01:44:04 PM scott: Michael, i have a question about ORIGINALITY...i'm sure many artists suffer with this block of needing to be original. though upon looking at my favourite artists i wouldn't say their work is at all without influence...so what is it we are responding to when we say something is original? Is it the enthusiasm from the artist making it? Is there such thing as originality? I would love your take on originality to help put an end to this ancient crisis of the artist once and for all." MEntity: Originality is valid. Originality does not preclude influence and inspiration. There is a difference between originality that is inspired, and one who is copying or imitating. If one of our students were to write a book about his or her experiences of our teaching and conveyed that in a way that teaches what was learned, it will not matter that the core of what is being taught did not originate with that student. What matters is his or her original take on that, as he or she was inspired. Not even our own teaching originates from us, but is utterly original. We only teach our take on the truth, love, and energy that originated beyond us. But our teaching is utterly original in its form. MEntity: Originality is what one does with one's inspiration. MEntity: Beyond this, the judgments will continue to be subjective in terms of what is "truly" original, or not, but the dividing line fairly clearoriginality is inspired, while non-originality is a copy, imitation, or mimicking. MEntity: For instance, one does not need be inspired to put together a model airplane, or to sing a song that is a pop formula created by someone else. One may feel inspired, but the form taken is not. It is copied. It is mimicked. It is an attempt to capture what was inspired in the original. MEntity: Andy Warhol was an artist with originality, and he exemplifies the precarious, but clear line between copy and creation. MEntity: Consider one more thing when pondering originalityyou are utterly original. You are utterly unique. You are a single idea that will never be replicated. Yet you are not new. You are an evolution. You are built upon inspiration. You are not a copy, though "you" have existed multiple times. Art is similar. MEntity: Let your art, your originality, be an evolution built upon inspiration, and you will relieve yourself of this perplexing and distracting concern. 01:58:41 PM Juni: From a previous transcript Juni: Though it is rare, there are some fragments who do not settle on one particular Chief Feature, but these are usually cases of what some call "Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder," Juni: Schizophrenia," and "Multiple Personalities." This is due to a breakdown in communication among the Physiological aspects of self (Obsessive-Compulsive), the Emotional aspects of self Juni: (Schizophrenia), or Intellectual aspects of self (Multiples). Juni: Can you elaborate further on this with regard to OCD and how it might be possible to get the parts "back in communication" again? MEntity: The breakdown in physiological aspects of the self has to do with the preoccupation with the idea that nearly every single thing one does has a direct and relevant effect upon something else. It is a distraction with absolute control. It develops out of the sense that one is directly responsible for everything in some way. In many cases of "OCD," there was a point in the 2nd Internal Monad where the psyche drew a connection between a terrible thing and a reckless action. MEntity: That reckless action could have been anything, and often it is a completely unrelated and irrelevant action. MEntity: So the body and personality begin to breakdown the sense of cohesive picture of the actions in the life. To manage one part of the life, action in another must be kept under control, and so on, cascading in effect across the life so that the individual is mired in meaningless and repetitive actions that act like a web woven through the life that keeps it in precarious balance. MEntity: To bring these aspects back into cohesion would depend on the extent to which there is fracture. MEntity: For clinical OCD, intervention is often required, with a retraining of the mind and actions so that one can learn that life is not precariously held in balance by these repetitive and consuming actions. MEntity: For milder cases of OCD, it can be a matter of asking for help from a loved one, and making the effort. The help would come in the form of the loved one playing a trusted, but random force in the life. He or she would alter or interrupt patterns, and the one with OCD would do his or her best to LIVE THROUGH IT. MEntity: This is a highly simplistic description of the process, but over time, after one lives through a rearranged towel rack, a messy book shelf, and unmade bed, or had their hand washing, counting, tapping, etc. interrupted enough, the body begins to return to a state of cohesion. MEntity: Again, this is a subject that may require a more dedicated format, but this is our response in this limited format. 02:14:23 PM brian: Hi Michael. How can one create an effective anchor to ground themselves during anxiety or stress? MEntity: There are two ways to do so, Brianinternally and/or externally. It would always do one well to nurture the internal grounding, first, considering that external forms are not always accessible, but it is helpful to identify external forces for grounding that one can use for support. MEntity: Internal grounding methods to counter stress and anxiety would vary from individual to individual, but one can turn to the Attitude for help in determining methods for help with anxiety and stress. MEntity: When one is anxious or stressed, it is often a result of falling into the negative pole of one's Attitude. MEntity: The key to grounding for recovery from that stress and anxiety can come from the positive pole of the partner Attitude. brian: How might that work for the Pragmatist? MEntity: For example, the Spiritualist has fallen into BELIEF. Anxiety can come from deciding what is true over knowing what is true. When one decides what is true without knowing what is true, it can be quite precarious in terms of anxiety and stress. To help the person in BELIEF to move back into VERIFICATION, the use of TRANQUILITY (the positive pole of Stoic) can be key. MEntity: Internal Tranquility can come in the form of conscious breath, stopping all action, closing the eyes, and visualizing flying or floating. External Tranquility can come in the form of a bath, a conscious shower, with the flow of water moving over the body coming into focus to help dissolve the hardened beliefs that are causing stress. MEntity: Then the Spiritualist can ask himself or herself again, "is this really true, or do I just think it is?" MEntity: From that grounded space, Verification can come. MEntity: In a more dedicated format, we can go through all of the Attitudes to offer suggestions, but this is the general idea. Each of you can come up with creative ways to exemplify what it would mean for you to internally and externally use the Positive Pole of the partner Attitude as a suggestion for how to ground yourself from stress and anxiety. MEntity: Look at that partner Positive Pole and ask yourself what it would mean for that to be implemented internally and externally. We trust your creative ideas would help you to find what works for you. 02:30:24 PM DianeHB: Hi Michael, could you elaborate on the Mercurial Body Type Health like you did for Kurtis? MEntity: In much the same way that the Martial Body Type reflects an immediate translation of action/movement into form in the body, the Mercurial Body Type can reflect immediate translation of idea/intellect into form in the body. The Mercurial Body Type health correlates to the Thyroid, and is a communication system throughout the body, since the Thyroid regulates key hormones that relate to brain chemistry. MEntity: For those with Mercurial Body Types of Health, it will be vital to these bodies to always express ideas, to communicate and share and exchange in ways that are not just to satisfy the personality, but to keep the body healthy. Mercurial Body Types are highly susceptible to degradation of health if expression is blocked, ignored, or distorted by misunderstanding or lack of capacity to be clear. MEntity: Mercurial Body Types must keep the ideas and thoughts flowing in and out of the brain in a way that is as vital to that individual as the flow of blood in and out of the heart. MEntity: For those who suffer from an imbalance of the Thyroid, it is often reflective of an imbalance in the life regarding lack of permission for expression, or lack of stimuli for ideas, or panicked and over-eager, hyperactive processes that cannot be expressed well. MEntity: The Thyroid regulates key hormones relative how the brain uses these, which are adrenaline, ephinephrine, and dopamine, so when these are out of balance, the body can start to take on weight alterations that reflect the weight of thoughts, ideas, expressions that are not moved out of the body. MEntity: We will conclude here for tonight. We know that we can only respond briefly to some of your questions that are quite broad, or requiring further exploration, so consider these responses as invitations for further exchange, and not as conclusive responses. MEntity: Good evening to each of you.
