DanielaS posted a topic in 2013 Michael Speaks12:55 PM 1/27/2013 Michael Speaks "The State of the World" Channel: Troy Tolley [MEntity] As the topic in request is that of our perspective of "the state of the planet," we will begin with a review of what we see as the "Overleaves" for the time frame of 2013: [MEntity] Though we cannot usefully predict anything of any meaningful use, we can describe the general, collective tone and context of themes for a year by assigning a Role. In the same way that we can describe an Essence as being a certain Role, we cannot conclusively describe how that Role will show up, but we can describe fairly consistent symptoms that are inherent in that Role. [MEntity] Or, rather, characteristics inherent in that Role. [MEntity] 2013 appears to be a year best understood with characteristics described by SAGE. [MEntity] This means the year would most likely tend toward patterns, issues, and themes of truth, communication, learning/teaching, drama, laughter, playfulness, and innocence. These are quite broad terms, so it is important to understand what we mean by this so that one can validate and benefit from understanding the tone of a year. [MEntity] On a more collective scale, the themes, patterns, and issues as described by a Role would tend to show up in the dominant theatrics and media and politics and other collective arenas on the planet. [MEntity] On a personal scale, knowing the Role of the year can help one to find more immediate solutions to challenges between the self and "the world," understand the dynamics of those interactions in the world, and understand your part in the contribution to collective evolution. [MEntity] It is not that events and exchanges would be created by the energy of the Role, but rather that events would tend to be most easily understood and tended to through the understanding of the Role. [MEntity] For example: the tragedy that took place in the area known as "Sandy Hook" was directly related to the launch of the Sage year. [MEntity] This event was not something planned to make any point, of course, but that its unique launch into the spotlight was greatly because of the themes of interest this year. However tragic this scenario may seem to be, in any other year, it may not have gained the same attention or momentum of meaning. [MEntity] However, in a Sage year, this event's association with children, innocence, and the truth of an issue was regarded as extremely meaningful to those participating in the world. [MEntity] It's overlap from 2012 helped to highlight the divide generated by Stubbornness, played out by those in Obstinance and those standing up to the obstinance through Determination. [MEntity] As the Stubbornness fades from focus over January, the sense of need for Determination will fade, as well, and the work of change would become much easier for addressing the truths that the event brought to consciousness. [MEntity] The Center is another term we use to help describe a collective tone and theme for a year. [MEntity] This year appears to be more Intellectually-focused. [MEntity] This means more expressiveness, more ideas, more philosophical pondering, more emphasis on thinking before acting, more organizing of emotions and actions. [MEntity] In a year that is Intellectually-Centered and Sage, the trends would tend toward ideas to protect children, enrich communities, enhance schools, and make decisions and choices from thought. [MEntity] Usually, the first obvious, major event of a year can help exemplify the collective tone and theme of a year. There are many events that could be described as "major" and "obvious," but on a collective scale relative to our students, something like the tragedy of "Sandy Hook" would, clearly, be this example. [MEntity] This ties into the Goal of the year, as well, which tends toward emphasis in January through March. This year can be described as aiming for FLOW, with some sliding to Acceptance and Discrimination. [MEntity] The surrender to the necessity for gun control, for example, is Flow working in as a theme, with issues around "freedoms" coming up, and played out in spectrum between those who know that this must be addressed in some meaningful way versus those who are simply in Inertia (the negative pole), locked into their momentum of defense. [MEntity] There is a near-inevitability for any Mature Soul culture to give up its addiction to weaponry, and it is beginning to take hold in the United States as the Priest who is known as President Obama continues to anchor Mature Soul paradigm as a norm. [MEntity] The fears rising in response to the idea of gun control come from the experiences of life in a world ruled by Young Souls, and populated with many Baby and Infant. The necessity for weaponry was valid, and remains valid to some extent, of course. [MEntity] As the planet moves toward a Mature Soul norm, nearly all of the ideals of the Young Soul paradigm begin to fall, such as competition, privacy, and defense. These concepts no longer serve the Mature Soul. [MEntity] These concepts do not disappear, but find less emphasis and more organic positions in one's life, rather than as front and center as priorities. [MEntity] There would still be a concept of privacy, competition, and defense in culture of the oldest of souls, but these would tend toward a refinement that may be very difficult for those of you in the current paradigm to even conceive. [MEntity] For example: the Mature Soul discussions over gun control are not looking to be fulfilled through tactics of defense, competition, or concern for privacy, but with tactics aimed toward collective trust, networks of support, and education. [MEntity] The Mature Soul paradigm is inclusive of the Young Soul paradigm, so the concern for privacy and the need for defense would tend to be accommodated for those who still require that as a focus, and the mere discussion of gun control satisfies the competitiveness of the younger souls as they fight against any encroachment upon their individuality, even as the approach from Mature Souls is not with this intention. [MEntity] As the subject of gun control in the United States is quite sensitive, the approach toward it in an Intellectually-Centered year is beneficial, as there would tend to be a support for even the most resistant of individuals to have access to the thinking involved for why this is a beneficial measure for a society. [MEntity] So as 2013 unfolds, we think our students will begin to see more and more of the effects of anchoring of Mature Soul paradigm, played out specifically through those qualities inherent in descriptions and spectrums of the Sage and Intellect, expanding rather quietly and gently through the Goal of Flow. [MEntity] Rather than speak to general contexts relative to the state of the planet, we will now open the floor to questions about what we have shared already, and questions relative to the topic, in general. [MEntity] QUEUE IS NOW OPEN [Question] From Tex: There has been a lot of war-like chest-beating between China and Japan, and to a lesser extent other Pacific Rim countries, and India against China. Structurally, the situation is similar to the defense relationships before WWI, an illogical war with no possible positive outcome for anyone. There is no logical reason for what is happening now, either. Populations in Japan and China and the Philippines all feel threatened by each other and want revenge while trading mightily with each other. What are the chances for a stupid war? [MEntity] "Chest beating" is an apt description of nations shifting from Baby to Young, which is fairly inclusive of all you describe. When the Baby shifts into Young, in the same way that a "tween" shifts into teenhood, there comes a phase of rebellion. [MEntity] Though precarious on large scales, it is a healthy part of the process of a nation and its peoples to establish their individuality and their collective identity. [MEntity] However, the dominant Soul Age of the species will tend to influence how the various Soul Ages manifest. [MEntity] In Infant, Baby, and Young paradigms, war is quite easily launched as a potential solution to differences. [MEntity] Only when there is Mature Soul anchoring of paradigm is war more often avoided than not. [MEntity] If the Mature Soul paradigm continues with the anchoring that we see happening, then the "chest beating" would tend to remain only as that, and be used for display when negotiating differences. [MEntity] As with many teens, the rise of a collective consciousness into Young Soul Age is wrought with internal conflicts over needs, demands, resources, and issues of self-identity, and so it is for a country or nation whose population is awakening to concepts of individuality from within a Baby culture. [MEntity] We would say that, despite resistances and controversy, one determining factor contributing to stability in other shifting nations is the successful leadership of the United States' current President. If that continues along lines of successful policy changes, bringing more anchoring of a Mature Soul paradigm, then other Soul Ages on the planet would tend to align their behaviors within that paradigm. [MEntity] War would not be such an easy reaction, but one that is regarded with consequences beyond the satisfaction of assault or retaliation. [Question] That's my hope [Question] Also what are the soul ages of the leaders of China and Japan? [MEntity] Both the current Prime Minister of Japan, and President of Republic of China appear to be early Young Souls. [Question] Is this perspective focused primarily for North America/the US or will this perspective also be evident in other countries? In other words, how do you perceive these overleaves being expressed in other geographic locations, such as the Middle East, the European Union, Asia, etc?etc? [MEntity] There are a few different sets of overleaves that we deliver through our valid channels to accommodate the circle of students of that channel, or to accommodate the specific requests of that channel. In most cases, our delivery of overleaves is relative to the students who may resonate with the channel. Their reading of that set of overleaves is directly beneficial to their understanding of the overleaves, and then they extrapolate that understanding to their world view. In some cases, such as with this channel, the request is to bypass accommodation of the students, and to hear our own interpretation from a collective, planetary perspective. [MEntity] In the same way that we have described one as having Personal, Public, and True Overleaves, so are there these similar ways to interpret collective patterns over time. For some students who do not interact much with the world-at-large, the Role on a "personal level" for the year may make more sense to be described to them differently. For those who are quite active in the world, a different Role might make more sense to them as describing the year in a more "public" way. And those overleaves shared from our perspective should be most easily inclusive of both of those. [MEntity] Sometimes all of these will be the same, of course. [MEntity] For those channels who deliver more customized sets of overleaves for their students, this tends to be relative to geographic locality, as well, but as some of our channels take to modern options of expansion beyond locality, it is more specific to that circle of Agreements than to locality. [MEntity] In short, it could be said that some channels receive overleaves for how the world will tend to affect you (personal), while others deliver overleaves describing how you will affect the world (public), while our interpretation, as requested through this channel, is simply describing those patterns happening in the world. [Question] Are there any changes that can be seen at this time for this year pertaining to the debt based economy also are there any likely major economic upheavals in store this year? [MEntity] We cannot predict such things, and no upheaval tends to be "planned," but we can say that it is a pivotal and precarious year for such things. Three major areas are in need of being addressed "immediately": climate change and the exponentially-escalating effects, income disparities, and government debts, in that order. [MEntity] We do not see that the year ahead might show any obvious shifts in this regard, but if these three factors are not addressed and secured with support within the next 3 to 4 years, the results would probably tend toward unpleasant. [MEntity] Contending factors as associated with the above would be the sudden collapse of a currency value among those of more widespread value, and declining viable water supplies. All of these would seem to use to be of high priority for any group concerned with securing stability within the familiar economic dynamics. [MEntity] The latter two factors would tend to hinge on the combinations of the first three we described. [MEntity] We list climate change as the priority factor because it will not matter that the second and third factors are addressed, if the species is taken by surprise by the effects of climate to any degree that could be devastating. [MEntity] The effects of climate on economy is at 72% probability, at this point. [Question] I had a different question prepared, but I would like to expand on your answer to B - what can we, individually do, about climate change? [MEntity] There are two levels of climate change, one of which you have no direct control, and the other as a source of causation that leads to effects. The climate on the planet shifts is great cycles that are not understood from the relatively recent and limited recordings of data, so there would tend to come these shifts, with or without a species causation. [MEntity] However, these greater cycles can lengthen, shorten, or shift when there are new factors of causation in effect. "Greenhouse" gases would tend to be the greatest causation, at this point, generated from a vast industry generating this factor. [MEntity] The greatest contribution any individual could do, at this point, is to make conscious choices regarding one's part in generating or supporting this factor. In a society and culture where simply being alive will contribute to certain factors, it would tend to be most effective to educate oneself to how one's most mundane choices may be contributing to these factors, and to make different choices regarding those that can be changed. [Followup] What would be the most effective things we could change as individuals? [MEntity] Any reduction of "carbon footprint," however "trendy" this may have come to be marketed, is a valid and effective approach. It has a direct reversal effect of causation by, at least, slowing down the generation of the effect. [MEntity] There comes with this consideration a great inconvenience in many cases, but we can only say to this that there are far greater inconveniences in accelerated climate change to usurp any that may concern one now. [Comment] meanwhile we have people who don't believe it's real [Comment] yes, it all makes sense and we all know it, sometimes it's easy decide based on convenience vs inconvenience, or get discouraged and think it makes a little difference on the grand scale [MEntity] The climate will change. It always has. We have lived through many. We know. Most natural changes are fairly slow to come, allowing for us to adapt, with very few having been "sudden" in any meaningful sense for the species, but not only is the current acceleration of climate change nearing a point of "sudden," the current modeling for climate change seems to us to be off by 30 to 50 years. [MEntity] An acceleration of global tempuratures by nearly 10 degrees fahrenheit are not unlikely before 2075. [MEntity] Currently, we can see this as 45% probability and rising, based on current momentum. When we factor in potential of education and implementation of choices that would reverse this, it drops to 10%, relative to 2075, and moves the climate change toward "natural" by 2100, with a rise in temperatures coming over a 300 to 500 year period, if at all, instead. [Comment] so we can influence it considerably [MEntity] Yes. [Followup] Would choices such as choosing train over plane, and cycling to work instead of driving make a good difference if enough people did it? [Followup] what will create the biggest influence on hindering this massive change? [MEntity] K, the biggest hindrance would tend to be lack of comprehension. The scale of climate is difficult to comprehend, but coupling this with its drastic effects on life "as you know it," are difficult to fathom. It is easier to simply eat, take, and do as one has always done, particulary when "everyone else" is, as well. [Comment] so better education with a 'personal relevance' would have the biggest impact [MEntity] Choice can be seen as quite powerful on a personal level, but part of the evolving soul is to grasp the effects of choice in larger contexts. Choices make a difference in both personal and grand ways. [MEntity] One of the hallmarks of awakening, whether in Essence or Soul Age, or both, is that the impact of one's choices do not have to have immediate payoff or obvious effects. That equation is of the younger soul ages. The older soul grasps, at least intuitively, the threads of choices that weave together, collectively, to generate impact. [Question] Michael, how much does not eating meat make a difference in this matter? [MEntity] J, the industry of enclosing, feeding, watering, and processing of animals as food, and the subsequent disposal of waste from this, is one of the top means of contribution to climate change acceleration. [MEntity] We did not have to check the Akashic Records to see this as valid in your world today. [MEntity] Its part in the equation of economy, climate, and water supply is integral to their potential demise. [MEntity] When one begins to make choices based on effects beyond the personal, one is manifesting Essence, and the older Soul Ages. [MEntity] J, those choices are valid for having an effect, though in terms of the train, this would tend to depend upon the fuel. [MEntity] The last time there was an industry of equivalence on the planet, nearly 1 million years ago, our species was nearly destroyed. [MEntity] This was not from the same consequences, but that this disconnected type of process for storing, treating, and distributing a food has yet to have had beneficial consequences in the long run, even if contributing greatly to the convenience of a people in the short-term. [MEntity] By "disconnected" we mean that those processing the foodstuff are disconnected from the care necessary for healthy processes, and the average recipient of the foodstuff is isolated from the entire process. This disconnection and isolation comes with a toll, since "no one is home" to manage the quality and vitality of the foodstuff. And the recipient simply consumes it without question. [MEntity] This could be said of many industries in terms of consequences on the species, but when that industry then has impact on greater scales that involve ecosystems, other species, and atmospheres, the consequences are potentially far more than we can fairly anticipate for our students. [MEntity] Your choices in the matter, matter. [Question] What does our current paradigm look like as opposed the myriad of others out there? What do those other paradigms look like? [MEntity] Please clarify "other paradigms." [Question] In your statement you mentioned our current paradigm: "In Infant, Baby, and Young paradigms, war is quite easily launched as a potential solution to differences." [Question] Michael – What did you mean by “There would still be a concept of privacy, competition, and defense in culture of the oldest of souls, but these would tend toward a refinement that may be very difficult for those of you in the current paradigm to even conceive”? Would you give an example of what will be difficult for us Older Souls to conceive? [MEntity] M, from what we have seen in any older soul paradigm, the concept of competition would tend to be either in playful terms, or in how that competetiveness contributes to the joy and well-being of the others involved. There is no real concept of winning. Games would tend to seem either boring, confusing, or pointless to the younger paradigm of game players. Imagine a football game where there are no teams, no score, and no winners, and you may come close to a glimpse. [MEntity] This is starting to come into fruition in the world of video games where those games emphasize experience as the priority over the winning or scoring. [Comment] I can see that. One of the reasons I don't professional sports so much is that someone "has to lose". It's heartbreaking to watch at times. [MEntity] Privacy is all but gone in the old soul paradigm, at least in terms of how those from a young paradigm might see it. Body image issues lose all footing, and clothing becomes optional, while resources are no longer used from a base of competition and debt, but availability, so there is no currency or details about oneself that can be exploited in those ways relative to resources. [MEntity] Ownership of objects tends to be seen more in terms of borrowed, so that there is little attachment to "things." [MEntity] When one person may lean toward more ownership of things than another, they are considered available within reason to anyone, and expectations or demands to the use of anyone else's objects is minimal, since they are fairly readily available anyway, and when not available, it is not taken personally. [Comment] I have "imagined" that in the future Michael - about not "owning" most things - borrowing even personal things. [MEntity] There are some hints of this in terms of digital products in your world now, with confusion in place regarding the legalities of control and ownership for such products. [MEntity] It is a different world of rules regarding ownership when objects can simply be duplicated without effect on the original object. Theft is not only no longer of interest, but no longer of necessity or use. [MEntity] For now, this paradigm of borrowing is fairly limited to the world of digital products, but is mired in younger soul concepts of profit and ownership. The Priest who was known as "Aaron Swartz" is in a Configuration looking to change this paradigm of competitive ownership. [MEntity] In terms of defense, the older soul paradigm tends toward dynamics that usurp any necessity for assault and defense in any obvious sense, though there would tend to be tactics in place relative to any known threats. For instance, there would still be concepts of healthy preventions, and remedies, as well as physical weaponry relative to threats. [MEntity] However, the concept of defense would be relative to threat, not to paranoia, or speculative threat. [Question] So his death may have some meaning then? [MEntity] M, if those who remain from the Configuration choose to carry forth point of his vision, awareness could come, but the actual changes necessary for implementing his vision would seem to be for another generation. [MEntity] The "foot is in the door" of this precarious consideration for the future of digital data, so this was Good Work. [MEntity] We must conclude here for today.
May 16, 2002 Troy Tolley, Channel You and your attitude [M_Entity] Hello to all of you. We are here. We understand the topic to be that of Attitudes as they are defined within our teaching. Of course, there are 7 Attitudes, as there are 7 of every other Overleaf in our system. The 7 Attitudes are the Neutral or Assimilative PRAGMATIST, the Inspirational Stoic and Spiritualist, the Expressional Skeptic and Idealist, and the Actional Cynic and Realist. The Attitudes are specifically your personal means to interpret reality. The Attitudes could easily be said to be The 7 Basic Philosophies, as much of what is our more complete system now has been found isolated in various teachings throughout the ages. Each Attitude can easily find a correlation of a philosophy, which can shed a great deal of light on your personal Attitude. The Attitude could be said to be the “pivot” or “hinge” within our Personality System around which all other facets of your Personality move. Because the Attitude is intrinsically linked to your Intellect, the Attitude can “make or break” your sense of peace, trust, wholeness, etc. Whether you are Intellectually Centered or not, you still have an Intellect, and that Intellect works hard to interpret and make sense of reality. So, too, does your Attitude. It will go a long way toward freeing you from the traps of the Attitude and Intellect if you understand that it is not necessarily “the point” to “make sense” of reality, because literally, it is the opposite: your senses MAKE reality. Though we say your Attitude “interprets” reality, it may be more effective to understand that your Attitude “filters” reality. Both are valid descriptions. Though an Attitude is far from an imposition, it CAN be a limitation if you find you are not able to function within your ;particular Attitude's full spectrum of use. It can easily be said that, from the absolute worst struggles, to the most trivial of frustrations, these experiences are directly a reflection of how you are using your Attitude. When your Attitude is in its Negative Pole, regardless of what that may be, you have determined that you have completed your need for input for your basic philosophical stance. When the Negative Pole of the Attitude is in control, reality loses its creativity and flexibility, and instead becomes a tangled mess that must be understood immediately, even if the means to do so have not even come to pass. We can speak generally of Attitudes because the basic experience is quite consistent; it is the HOW of it all that is different among them. For instance, an Idealist in the Negative Pole and a Cynic in the Negative Pole will both share the struggle of trying to understand something within a limitation of input, but the Idealist will “naively” bumble his way through, while the Cynic will use “denigration” to destroy anything outside his comprehension. In the case of the Cynic, we do not mean an attempt to literally destroy, but that the Cynic will actively fight to remove any contradictions from his determined perception. In the case of each Axis of Attitude, you will find when they are in the Negative Pole, the reaction of the Attitude is to eliminate the Positive Pole experiences. When the Stoic is “resigned,” he will use inspiration to lead others into resignation, to validate his own perceptions. The Spiritualist will use inspiration to impose his beliefs on others as strongly as possible, to remove the need for verifying his perceptions. The Skeptic will simply express strong suspicions, riling others into an insecure space of perception, to remove the need for investigation. The Idealist will naively take on lofty goals and intentions, either with or without awareness, setting himself up for failure, so as to remove the experience of coalescence, which is the bringing together of parts to make a whole. The Cynic will actively remove all that contradicts his own determined perception. The Realist will insist that her perceptions are based in fact, even against the strongest of feedback that she is inaccurate, so as to remove her from having to be Objective. In addition, the Pragmatist will continue doing things, thinking about things, expressing things, exactly as they have worked for her to her satisfaction, regardless of the fact that input is dictating that there are more practical ways for the same things. The reason the Negative Pole is so strongly interested in eliminating the Positive Pole experiences is because the Attitude is the “brother or sister” to the Chief Features. We speak of these traits with anthropomorphic descriptions, only for the sake of relating, but we do not wish for you to mistake this means of description as if these parts of you are a separate consciousness. We do not say that they are, nor do we imply that they are. Because of our limitation of time, we will quickly point out what we believe may be the most important concern for your understanding of the Attitudes. Since the Attitude can be your prison or your means to complete freedom, we believe that when you are struggling in any area of your life, the first place to look would be to your Attitude. In understanding your Attitude, you would clearly be able to see that you may be in the Negative Pole, but the fastest and most effective means to move yourself out of it, is simply to choose a different angle of perception. Since the Attitude, while in the Negative Pole, so intently seeks to remove the experience of the Positive Pole of your Attitude, the “trick” is to use the Positive Pole of the Attitude that shares your Axis. If the effort is made, within minutes your life can change; or at least your attitude toward it, which can then lead to changing your life. When the Spiritualist is lost in her Beliefs and continues to find she is blocked from real, fulfilling Verification of her perceptions, it can free her to “slide” to the Positive Pole of Stoicism, which would be Tranquility. When Belief is in control, there is usually a strong need to get others to share in the belief, even if you, yourself have not Verified its place in your life. When the Spiritualist slides to Tranquility, she relaxes and surrenders gently to her perceptions. This then allows her to Verify things for herself, instead of finding others to do it for her. On the other hand, the Stoic may have given up on his life, resigning, which is a passive stance to the life. If he were to slide to Verification, he would be able to find that much of what he has resigned himself to is not even valid anymore as an imposition. We may not be able to go through all of the Attitudes with examples, but we will note that the Pragmatist has the ability to slide to ANY of the other Attitudes as a means to free himself from Dogma. We will now take any questions you may have, so we can respond to you, rather than use your time teaching what may already be available in print. QUESTIONS [MDFSage_Val] Can you describe a “spectrum of use” for an Idealist, or is this more an individual fragment thing/issue? [M_Entity] An Idealist lives within the spectrum of being “cursed” and “blessed” with the constant want for improvement. The Idealist has such a wider vision of most things that he can see patterns where others cannot. Within those patterns, he can also see how they can be improved, manipulated, or altered for the better. The struggle then comes from the Idealist being able to see the big picture, but not putting the effort into defining the STEPS it will take to get there. Therein lies the spectrum from Naivety to Coalescence. An Idealist can see that he has potential to run a marathon, but instead of taking the steps to prepare, he simply, naively runs in the marathon, until he collapses from the pain he could have avoided. [Suzanne] Michael, How would be best for an idealist & a spiritualist to relate to each other, one expresses while the other inspires? [M_Entity] The Spiritualist will always interpret relationships in terms of how inspiring they are, while the Idealist will interpret the relationships in terms of how much improvement is coming from them. [Suzanne] Rather interesting, as it can compliment. [M_Entity] If the Spiritualist feels her relationships are not inspiring, or that she is not inspiring, she will lose interest. The Idealist must feel as if the relationships are somehow improving each other, or he will feel they are not worth it. [Suzanne] Thank you, I understand better now [M_Entity] We are using pronouns randomly, for the sake of grammar. We are not intending anything to be specifically assigned to a gender. [Suzanne] Understood that too, thanks. [M_Entity] The Spiritualist could be said to be “cursed” and “blessed” with the philosophy that everything has potential. Within that spectrum, you will find the experiences ranging from blind faith or belief to valid verification of those potentials. We will point out one last point for your consideration before concluding tonight. When you are in the Negative Pole of your Attitude, you may find you are behaving more and more like the Attitude sharing your Axis, or attracting, or attracted to, those who share your Axis. This is your inherent move toward balance in perception and even if this is done without awareness, it manages, at least, to continue to give the option of choosing how you interpret your reality. So, an Idealist may tend to be very critical and skeptical as a means to balance his Idealism; the Spiritualist may find she is becoming less and less emotional and more passive as she seeks balance for her Beliefs. We shared as much as we could within your time allotted. We have much more to say about this topic, of course. We will conclude here. Good Night to all of you.
OMW - Sep 16, 2012 - The Circuitry of Overleaves Channel: Troy Tolley (Note: The following Chart was referred to - the Overleaf Map.) [MEntity] Hello to each of you. We are here, now. We can begin discussion on the topic of choice. Though the Overleaves function as a whole, they do function in a similar way to how one might understand how the body works. The body works as a whole, but, depending upon circumstances, various parts are of emphasis, serving the whole. Understanding your body as a network of circuitry, all entwined in a way that is inseparable, but distinct in parts, is much the same way that your Overleaves can be understood. What we will discuss, first, is the broader types of circuitry, and then move more into your variations. We are using the term "circuitry" here for this workshop, but we do not mean to imply it as a permanent term within our teaching. It is simply a way to visualize this topic. We have shared a bit about contextual circuitry in previous exchanges with our students, and we will review those, first. The Personality always leads with one Overleaf, however swiftly the circuitry is ignited to cascade throughout the rest of the Overleaves. In various circumstances and contexts, various Overleaves will lead. Those with higher Frequencies may find their circuitry "faster" than those with lower Frequencies. CONTEXTUAL CIRCUITRY The Contextual Circuitries are: PROJECT, SOCIAL, INTIMACY, and MEDITATION. These are fairly straightforward in correlation: When one is working on a project, the Personality will tend to lead with the GOAL. When one is in a social setting, one tends to lead with the ATTITUDE. When one is seeking or nurturing Intimacy, one tends to lead with the MODE. When one is in any state of meditation, one tends to lead with the Centering. This is fairly easy to validate, as well. Consider these contexts in the workplace, for instance. When a project is the priority, one will tend to find one's Goal is challenged and/or fulfilled. When one is socializing, one may find that one's perceptions, philosophy, Attitude are challenged or highlighted. When one finds any eventual bonding, it is usually secured by the Mode. When pondering any of this, the Centering is activated. It will not matter what the project is, if your Goal is Acceptance, you may find that your capacity for Acceptance is challenged and/or fulfilled. It will not matter the social situation, you may find your Spiritualism challenged, revealed, and/or highlighted. And so on. Those are the Contextual Circuits. We will get to how the Body Type, Role, Casting, and Chief features get involved. Before we move on, do each of you find a sense of validation for these contexts? Do you have any questions? [Bobby] Yes, and not yet for me [ClaireC] Ditto [Maureen] yes -- I have a sense of validation for these contexts [MariLynn] moreorless... [GeraldineB] So, far those make pretty good sense -- especially Mode -- my relationships do tend to be more in observation mode, wait and see, few strong emotions (often in surveillance) [Janet] Yes, but I have trouble imagining how my Power mode works (or doesn't work) for Intimacy [MEntity] Janet, keep in mind that Power Mode is about Being Present. It is an Expressive Overleaf, not an action, so it will be about making your presence known in some way. [Janet] I keep forgetting that. Thanks. [MEntity] It is about owning your presence, being comfortable in your skin, "being yourself." [Janet] The names of the overleaves sometimes give first impressions that aren't necessarily accurate [MEntity] In other words, how you might evolve intimacy is in how much of "you" can be present, be permitted, allowed, without shame, silencing, etc. [Maureen] Observation for me -- when I am intimate means yes -- I can truly "see" you. [AnnH] So I would expect others to "see" me? [MEntity] Ann, was that a question about Observation? [MariLynn] thank you. well clarified. [AnnH] Yes [MEntity] Then, yes. For Observation to foster intimacy, each is expected to be willing to "see," to truly see one another. As an aside, for another discussion, for intimacy to be fulfilling, it is key that one understand the Mode, as this gives insight into how you relate, and what you may expect of one who is growing closer to you. [MariLynn] I have a similar question-hard to see how aggression mode bodes well for intimacy! [MEntity] For you, MariLynn, Aggression is an exalted action Overleaf. Aggression evolves intimacy by way of constant change, movement, activity, progress. One must be able to "keep up." Intimacy is nearly impossible with someone who might wish to slow you down, tame you, or fault you for constant change of focus and directions. The Mode also describes what is expected of others, as well, as a means of relating. [MariLynn] yes! and it's been hard to find a partner who can, or wants to [MariLynn] omg, yes!! concur!! [MEntity] MariLynn, that is okay, or, at least, can be "okay." It is a "King" Overleaf, and is not intended to foster superficial intimacy and relationships. In addition to this for Observation, Sages inherently NEED to be seen, so Observation compounds the necessity for it. [MariLynn] is this also true to a large extent if someone is sage casted? [Diane_HB] I often notice myself using Observation in social situations, not necessarily Pragmatism. [MEntity] Diane, keep in mind that Observation Mode is not literal observation. You may find yourself observing others, but this is Pragmatic for you. [Diane_HB] I see [MEntity] Keep in mind that Pragmatism is a philosophy, a filter on reality. In a social situation, that will either manifest as being Practical, in your actual expression of self, in your exchanges, and in your evaluation of the worth of those exchanges, or as Dogma, stuck in routines that you have learned as a way to filter people out. [Janet] Clearly we need that future discussion about modes and intimacy. [Janet] And maybe one about social situations and attitudes. [MEntity] Dogma may show up as an inflexibility in what you find worth talking about, if you talk at all. Many with Pragmatism will be those who walk into a social situation, and then quietly, eventually, exit and wonder why the attempt was even made. Continuing. [Diane_HB] Thank you, that makes sense [MEntity] If there is a leading overleaf, then there would be a second, third, etc. in the circuit. [Bobby] Is this leading overleaf indicative of which one developed first in the life? [MEntity] Bobby, no. Centering is always developed first, in that case. It becomes the Meditative context of the life, then. [Bobby] I think what I may be referring to is for example, K's daughter, you've stated that a certain overleaf was turned on first... [MEntity] That would be one's core overleaf, and we will discuss that, next. [Bobby] lol... ok :-) [Diane_HB] I thought the centering wasn't fixed until the 2nd IM, or are those different things? [MEntity] That would be correct, Diane, except that Centering is habitual, not fixed. The Overleaves are always present, even from birth, but until a fragment is approximately 7 years old, the Personality tends to be reflective of the caretakers, not the actual overleaves. However, Centering tends to be activated upon mobility, and habitual at the close of the 2nd Internal Monad. [Diane_HB] I see [MEntity] The sequence of the Contextual Circuit would tend to be dependent upon the expectations or intentions that are fueling or distracting the leading Overleaf. For instance, to fulfill a Project, the Goal will lead, but if that Project is one that is for the sake of Relating, then the Mode might be secondary; or if it requires a lot of discussion and sharing, the Attitude may be secondary. If it is done alone, it may be from the Meditative Centering. This secondary part of the circuit is vital for how the leading part is sustained in a Positive or Negative Pole. For example, if you are obligated to a Project, the Goal will still lead, and if you are not "into it," you may distract yourself with your Attitude, or more Social contexts. If you are evolving Intimacy, but your Projects are, ultimately, what you feel defines you, then you may be leading with your Mode in that relationship, but your Goal will draw you away from the intimacy. Circuitry is always shorted out by dishonesty. By "dishonesty" we mean it in a fairly clear way: that one is denying a truth by cloaking it. For example, if you are obligated to a Project, it may be true that you are not "into it," but distract yourself with social contexts as a way to avoid that truth. Honesty would either not do the project, or it would call upon the social context as support, not distraction. When a "circuit" is weakened, so to speak, the Chief Features come into play. Can each of you think of examples for yourself? Do you understand this path of circuitry? [Bobby] and others even :-) [GeraldineB] I can remember instances, but I got a lot better quite a few years ago about not committing to something I had no intention of doing [AnnH] I think this happens constantly for me. [AnnH] Since just about everything is "supposed" to be a social context for me. [MariLynn] omg.....I DEFINITELY am in this right now. my 'project' is my obligation to be my father's FT caregiver [MariLynn] and, I am NOT into it. [Janet] Yes I see this. Work projects are often forced by circumstances rather than personal desires. But I can see this effect in past relationships as well. [Maureen] I would rather burn myself out -- rather than not complete something I`ve committed to -- which is another problem! [MariLynn] and, I can see this whole pattern as you've described....incl. the CF's have come up....esp. today [Diane_HB] I used to do this A LOT but have gotten better at being aware of it now. [MariLynn] ditto Maureen! [AnnH] From reading this, I realize in my 20s my goal was career and not so much social. [Maureen] ...which inherently shows a dishonesty with myself -- not good! [MariLynn] another ditto [MEntity] We are not speaking only to projects, but to relationships, social contexts, with secondary distractions or fuel, etc. We ask if you can see how this circuitry is at work in various contexts? [GeraldineB] I've learned to take the flack for saying "no" [Janet] Definitely can see it in all contexts. [MEntity] Even in your Meditative contexts. Can you not find your "center" because you are distracted with projects, relationships, etc? [ClaireC] Yes, Michael, and particularly how the CF's come in. [Janet] Yup. [Bobby] yes [MariLynn] yes [AnnH] yes [GeraldineB] yes [MEntity] The easiest way to determine if your circuitry, regardless of context, is weakened, is the question of whether you are DISTRACTED or ENTHUSIASTIC. [Janet] Oh! Good one! I see that right off. [MEntity] Enthusiastic here is not meant as prancing in pom poms and a perma-grin, but simply a "looking forward." [Maureen] yes! (sorry ...I couldn't find my centering!) [Maureen] :) [GeraldineB] and for Distracted, I would say caught up in the "should" or "ought to" mode of thinking [Maureen] (...that was a joke!) [MEntity] Maureen, we know. [Maureen] LOL [GeraldineB] LOL [AnnH] Yes, G. Very much. [MEntity] Geraldine, that is fair, but the "should" or "ought to" would not be the distraction; it would be what the distraction tried to avoid or ignore. [AnnH] Ah! [GeraldineB] which is . . .I don't want to do this and will PROCRASTINATE to NOT do it [AnnH] I often feel a lot of "I don't want to." [AnnH] Heh, psych [MEntity] There are plenty of "shoulds" and "ought to's" that are important and valid responsibilities, but distractions can make them difficult to fulfill. [Janet] I think of my life in terms of whether I'm bored or not bored. I see correlation to distracted or enthusiastic. [MEntity] That would be fair, Janet, as boredom is a lack of presence and connection to Essence. If Essence is put at a distance, boredom tends to be a result. Often, when one is not enthusiastic, one shuts down the resonance to Essence. We think that each of you see this clearly enough to benefit from the use of it in your choices and contexts, if you choose to apply this insight. We will add here that if one is looking at the Meditative Circuit, it is beneficial to understand that this is the first of the Overleaves to be activated and sustained, even if it is changeable and habitual. Centering will always go back to a more precognitive state of being, and therefore, is a context of innocence. In other words, when one seeks to find his "centering," or to meditate on his life, it is a return to innocence. Techniques and methods are helpful for the meditative state and circuitry, but this circuit is the context in every instance when you are alone. This is why aloneness is vital for the health of any Essence or Personality. Though aloneness is given a bad name in modern, highly-populated and dense societies, it is vital. Every time you are alone, you are leading with Centering, and that is supported or undermined by your distractions or enthusiasms. [AnnH] I am sorry to make this all about me, but I find that emotional centering makes it difficult to get things done when I don't "feel" like it. [MariLynn] I agree Ann [Diane_HB] I'm intellectually centered and I still can't get things done when I don't feel like it [MEntity] So to help heal or strengthen the circuitry of your Meditative context, your return to innocence, it can be as simple as fostering enthusiasm as the secondary circuit. This is a simple circuitry to address: For those who are Emotionally-Centered, there tends to be a necessity to foster or allow enthusiasm for Relationships, or The Mode, as the secondary circuit. For those who are Intellectually-Centered, there tends to be a necessity to foster or allow for Social and philosophical interactions, or the Attitude. For those who are Moving-Centered, there would tend to be a necessity for fostering enthusiasm, or allowing, for Projects to be fulfilled. In other words, the Emotionally-Centered can look at her Mode for how to relate to the self when alone. The Emotionally-Centered must be able to relate to herself as a means to be centered. [Maureen] What do you mean by: ``The Emotionally-Centered must be able to relate to herself as a means to be centered.` [MEntity] The Intellectually-Centered can look to her Attitude for how to interpret her life, how to interpret her place in society, as a means to return to her innocence and centered state. [Maureen] in general or something specific? [MEntity] Maureen, those who are emotionally-centered, when the Meditative circuit is weakened, can tend to wait or want for external inspiration to bring them back into a strengthened circuit of meditation and centeredness. [Maureen] I see [MEntity] They must find themselves to be inspiring again, to relate to themselves again. That is all that "relating" means: being inspired. [Maureen] ..and can look for distractions through other people? [MEntity] Maureen, yes, the Emotionally-Centered can often think that if the right relationship would come along, all would be well with the self. They are most prone to co-dependence. They can be distracted with relationships, which take them away from themselves, their centeredness, their innocence. When the Meditative circuit is weakened, it can greatly affect how the life is digested, how you see and experience yourself, and how divided or fractured you are within. Do each of you find resonance with this insight into these circuits, so far? [Bobby] yes [AnnH] Yes, sort of. [ClaireC] Very much so. [GeraldineB] yes -- it just doesn't "stick" with me -- it makes sense for the moment [Diane_HB] yes [Maureen] yes [AnnH] There's an intellectual resonance, but I can't really get a hold of it. [MariLynn] yes [MEntity] To help it "stick" with you, we suggest carrying with you the simple navigation between Distraction and Enthusiasm. The rest can be put into place after that. We have described contextual circuitry, which changes in any given situation, but there is also a Core Circuitry. CORE CIRCUITRY This is how your Overleaves network when not being led by a context. Though not an exact accuracy in all cases, it is easiest to assess your Core Overleaf by looking at how your various Essence and Overleaf patterns fall in the system. Looking at the "map" that Troy has shared with you, note where your known Overleaves fall. Include your Essence, Casting, Soul Age, and Level in your count. [MariLynn] do you mean what axis is most dominant? [MEntity] Your final assessment would be the count of how many fall into Inspiration, Expression, Action, or Assimilation. MariLynn, yes. [MariLynn] ok. that's what I thought [MEntity] Through a Sage, we can tend to be "wordier" than necessary, though we try to be succinct. [Bobby] lol [Maureen] LOL [Maureen] actually Michael -- that was pretty succinct! [MEntity] Do not include your Chief Negative Features. And only your Primary Centering. [GeraldineB] Michael was peeking again [Diane_HB] how about body types? [MEntity] Only the Primary [MariLynn] I didn't get the map but I have another chart....however what does old soul tend to fall into, ie. what axis? [MEntity] That would be Expression, MariLynn. Share your dominant Axis when you are ready. If you find that there is a tie among them, we will address that, too. [Maureen] I am 2-2-2-2- Michael [AnnH] Assimilation [Janet] Heavy on Expression axis; hardly any in the others (2-6-1-0) [Bobby] Action, followed by Inspiration [MEntity] We are unclear as to the numerical references, so we suggest either clarifying, or simply sharing the dominant, or tied, Axis or Axes. [Maureen] I am even across the board Michael [Diane_HB] I have 3 in Assimilation and 2 in all other axes [MariLynn] I am super dominant expression (5) 3 ins., 3 action and NO assimilation....no wonder I'm on disability!! [GeraldineB] I have big numbers 5s & 6s [MEntity] There should be 9 elements considered in your assessment: Role, Casting, Soul Age, Level, Goal, Mode, Attitude, Centering, Body Type. [Janet] Six of nine on Expression axis for me [AnnH] I have only 1 action [GeraldineB] I don't see anything for Level [MariLynn] with my body types, I am not sure which one is dominant. I feel almost equal in mars/merc. [GeraldineB] I have three and when Michael gives BTs, they're never in any particular order (or so I've seen them say) [MariLynn] yes [MEntity] For those with dominant Action, then the Goal is the Core Overleaf, and the Project Circuitry would tend to be fairly comfortable and appealing. [ClaireC] Can someone enlighten me on how to read this chart? [Maureen] OK -- Bingo!! I have a winner! 3 are in Action and 2, each, are in the other axis! [GeraldineB] I have three in 5 and three in 6 [MEntity] For those with dominant Expression, then the Attitude is the Core Overleaf, and the Social Circuitry tends to be the most comfortable and appealing. For those with dominant Inspiration, then the Mode is the Core Overleaf, and Intimacy tends to come easily, or is most appealing as a circuitry. For those with dominant Assimilation, the Core Overleaf is Centering, and the Meditative Circuitry (aloneness) tends to be the most comfortable and appealing. If your elements are evenly distributed, you may tend to go with the default HUB of the Personality (which is different from the Core), and that is the Attitude. The HUB of the Personality is similar to the Brain being the hub of the body, but not necessarily the main emphasis of development for an individual. Understanding your Core Overleaf can help you to understand where most of your emphasis is on development. It helps you to understand the state of your moods, your health, and your energy levels. If your Core Overleaf is not fed enough, so to speak, the Personality starves, it begins to deteriorate in circuitry, which reflects in energy levels, health, and mood. So consider this, in light of your Core: if your core is Social, and your life is mostly aimed at Projects, you may find it impacts you in ways that are challenging. If your core is Intimacy, Relating, and your life is focused on Social or Philosophical circuits, you may find yourself challenged in mood, energy, health. And so on. [ClaireC] Michael, with 3 Inspiration and 3 Expression, which would be the Dominant Core? [GeraldineB] Ditto Claire's question -- I, too, am 3 Expression and 3 Inspiration [MEntity] Geraldine, we have stated that if your elements are evenly distributed, you may find that you default to the Hub (the Attitude). [GeraldineB] OK ... I misunderstood [MEntity] That would mean that it is quite important to develop and feed one's philosophies in the life. From this discussion, each of you can now see your Contextual Circuits, understand which Overleaf leads in those, and understand your secondary circuit as being a realm of distraction or as a fulfillment of enthusiasm. We have also shared your Core Overleaf, based on the distribution of elements that make up your Essence and Overleaves, and how this must be developed and tended to for your healthy mood, body, and energy. If one's health, mood, and energy levels may seem compromised, take a look at your Core Overleaf, and determine if you are "feeding" it well enough, tending to it, nurturing it, giving it the experiences it may naturally desire, etc. If one can move the Core Overleaf into some kind of strength of circuitry, it can make a great difference in the body, energy, and mood. [MariLynn] that's for sure!! I thought I *got* it....and then I think I started overthinking it [MEntity] We will conclude here for today. This is an introductory consideration for how the Overleaves work in more useful and meaningful ways beyond their basic definitions. [AnnH] What if we're lacking in one area? [Bobby] the final test will be given on the Causal and it will be open book(Akashic) har har har [Diane_HB] lol [MariLynn] lol Bobby!! [MEntity] Ann, where one tends to be lacking the most, one would tend to attract others who may have that area as dominant. Or one would tend to generate experiences that keep that circuitry alive in some way. February 7, 2002 Troy Tolley, Channel Education Part One Note from Janet: This transcript refers to the session as 'Part 1', but it does not appear another session on the topic was ever held. [M_Entity] Hello to all of you. We are here. We will begin with the Energy Report as it stands for the weeks between February 9th through the 22nd of the same month. You are now well into the energy described as Discrimination, and so far, the energy has seemed to be generally maintained in the Positive Poles for most. The most obvious effect from this energy will be in the heightened awareness of a single or couple of MAJOR choices needing to be made. We said the first couple of weeks looked to be calm and an opportunity for restful interaction with Essence, but the next couple of weeks appear to be focused on making the one or two major choices that will alter the life in some way. It could be said to be a pivotal period of time for many of you on a personal level. The period of time that supported time for restful interaction with Essence apparently was to help in the process of gaining more consciousness in Choice. Although Decisions are made all of the time, Choices are made that alter the life and create Parallels. Decisions lead to Choices. When Decisions are made, Personality can be aligned with Essence or not. When Choice is made, the alignment is seriously examined and this is a strong factor in how Choice is made. This could indicate an upsurge in most people, particular Mature and Old Souls, to implement a regular routine now of communicating to Essence in more personal ways. As this is a Moving Centered Year, as we have said in other contact, this will most likely mean you will be taking into consideration how your immediate environment reflects your relationship to Essence. Symbolism is very high right now, too, in terms of home arrangement, dreams, and “omens.” It is a particularly clear time to consult your favorite oracles, mediums, or channels. It is a particularly clear time to speak to and listen to (communicate with) people around you who might have insight, whether they realize it or not. February 12 appears to be highlighted as significant and pivotal. We realize this is the “Chinese new year,” we believe, but we do not refer to the date because of that. It simply seems to be the most sensitive and unformed day within the period of time in question. This tends to imply significance on a larger level. We will take your questions about the Energy Report now. If there are no questions, we will begin on the Topic. [Glenn] I notice a correlation to the period you discuss with the Mayan calendar. According to that, we are just ending a period of “core days,” where we work on core issues. Can you comment? [M_Entity] We have found through many of our students and channels that there tends to be a correlation between our perspective of energy patterns and the Mayan pattern mapped by their calendar. We can only say that this serves to act as validation for us and our students that the Mayan Calendar and its implications are worth examination. The mapping of celestial tides and patterns so far into the future are valid. The interpretations of these patterns, however, are symbolic. This is what makes the validity so uncanny. Astrology as you know it, is certainly not as clear and it does not claim the same detail. The only “flaw” in the Mayan interpretations is when the calendar “ends.” The commonly accepted date is off. [Kieran] Would the teaching of a simple core speaking language (one exists) make a big difference in breaking down cultural barriers and misunderstandings world wide? [M_Entity] Yes, of course. This does not usually occur as a World Truth until the latter part of a Mature Soul Age. Until that time, the focus is from a stronger Young Soul influence on maintaining “culture,” “heritage,” “history,” and “tradition.” The beginning of a Mature Soul world goes through a long and tedious period of “reaching out” in ways to acknowledge and understand all minority groups’ identification. This allows everyone to feel as if they have been included and are a part of the world. Then the task of weaving these differences into cohesion is taken on, and the first method of choice is choosing a common language. This concept is met with less reaction and pride by that time. [Anne49] With reference to the Mayan Calendar’s end date being “off,” will you tell us what the correct date is? [M_Entity] We will look at the Mayan Calendar’s accurate ending as we move through tonight. We are having a block at this time in that area through this channel. [NOTE from TROY: I have not made time to get Michael’s response to this, yet] If there are no more questions, we will begin with the Topic. Education, Part One The topic of Education is a broad one. We will be sharing some basic considerations we believe would help fragments begin a life with optimum potential and development of personal tools. “Education” begins within 48 hours of Physical Birth. The Body is a complete sensory unit and focal point “into” the Physical Plane for Essence at that time. We say the Body is “complete” as a sensory unit at that time because, relative to later influences, certain senses may or may not be heightened or diminished over time. For the first 7 years of a life, in general, the Essence gradually “moves in.” Essence does not live through the Body before that period of time, though there are exceptions. During the first 7 years, past life Personalities of relevance, as well as Essence, “care” for the Body and direct it and those fragments of importance around it for as many opportunities for imprinting as possible. When we say the “Essence and past Personalities direct those of importance,” we do not imply this is done through deceit or imposition. It is done through Agreement formation and fulfillment in most cases, or Karma. However the Body is cared for and guided, between the ages of 2 and 3 the Centering has become habit. This then would become one of its Overleaves. This is the first Overleaf of importance in determining the beginnings of Education on a higher level than primal. Children, then, can easily be said to be from three basic groups: Moving Centered, Intellectually Centered, and Emotionally Centered. There are, of course, those who are Instinctive Centered, and we will address these rare fragments another time. If intentional Education is addressed to fragments before the age of 7, it is helpful to acknowledge their primary Centering during that time as the priority. Moving Centered children, indicated many times by Physical symptoms in the skin (barring basic “diaper rash”) and tendencies to hit, bounce, stand, and/or pull more strongly, would gain more from focus on toys that encourage the EARS or HEARING. Intellectually Centered children, indicated many times by far more vocalizations, screaming, and “tantrums,” would do well with an emphasis on toys that require physical contact, touching. Emotionally Centered children, indicated many times by more quiet, smiling, and “good” babies, would do well with an emphasis on toys which require balance, combining, and color. (Emotionally Centered children see color far earlier than other children.) Before we continue, we will pause for questions about educating children up the age of 7. Are there any questions? [ClaireN] How does the environment affect learning? [M_Entity] If you consider the basic route of education for the child under 7 years of age, then it could be said that any emphasis on the more distracting influences could diminish learning. It could also be said that an OVER emphasis can be damaging. For instance if an Emotionally Centered child has a focus on Hearing, they may lose the important development from the more complementary route of Color, Balance, and Combining. Then again, if they are overexposed to harsh colors and chaos, they may tend to inhibit all interest in anything to complement their Centering. If an Intellectually Centered child has more of a focus on Hearing and Music, for another example, they may lose the important shaping from the more complementary need for Touch and Physical Interaction; though if they are carelessly touched, or indifferently cared for, they can be greatly damaged. As you can see, most caretakers intuitively provide ALL of the possible complementary toys and methods for education. [M_Entity] You may have noticed that what we have suggested as educational focus is not primary to the Centering that is developing. Instead, it is complementary in that the emphasis will create a contrast to create a “rounding out” of the Center, creating less of an opportunity for the Center to live in a TRAP or PART, later. By the Age of 7, the Part is a habit. The greater the comprehension and strength of the Center by that time, the less it depends on a Part, but instead, uses ALL Parts appropriately. From the Age of 7, the focus of Education would best be geared toward defining the “Primary Essence Influence.” We say “Primary Essence Influence” because Essence may or may not be supported by the Overleaves as they rest on a predominate Axis. When it comes to a lifetime, especially before the 4th Internal Monad, the Personality, as the OVERLEAVES define it, is the most important concern, not necessarily the Role of Essence. Emphasizing discovering the Personality and its focus is key in allowing Essence to manifest as clearly and consistently as possible later in life. With that being said, it must be considered that past the age of 7, Education must address 3 very vital areas of the Personality: The Goal, the Mode, and the Attitude. Currently, those with an emphasis on Overleaves resting on the Inspiration, Expressive Axes are lost to the emphasis on the Moving and Assimilative Axes. Creative, Inspiring activities and outlets are not available in any meaningful way until after what is called High School, in most cases. Because the system is focused on only supporting only the Moving or Assimilative Axes, even if programs are in place for Expression and Inspiration, they are ridiculed, belittled, and under-funded, separating that group of Personalities in potentially detrimental ways. We suggest an overhaul of this basic inconsiderate system of education by not only creating methods of teaching that accommodate each Axis, but also accommodate each area of important development in terms of the Goal, Mode, and Attitude. This would mean teaching children from the primary axis of Inspiration through methods that encourage Emotional associations, feelings, and intuition. Teaching children from the primary axis of Action to be taught through sports, physical interaction, and tactile methods. Teaching Expressive Axis children through stories, expression, acting, communication, art, performance and stage. This is highly simplistic, but we realize the time frame we have through this channel is limited. Using the appropriate methods based on Axis, the school “day” would then be emphasized in 3 segments, each focusing on either the Goal, Mode, or Attitude. This basically means developing and encouraging the basic tendencies and interests of the child as he or she has shown interest (the goal), teaching the very basics of intimacy, sexuality, relationships, and exposure to varying cultures (the Mode). Teaching the 7 basic philosophies on the planet (the attitude). We cannot emphasize enough the importance of teaching the 7 basic philosophies before or during the teen years. If there is one, single aspect of education that condemns a society to unhealthy development and division, it is in the lack of understanding your own personal perceptions/philosophy and those of others. We will add here that we have not forgotten the Assimilative Axis. This Axis, of all of them, is the most adaptable and would gravitate itself toward the Axis most meaningful at varying points of development. The irony is in the “backward” approach to using, instead, the whole of Assimilation as the means to teach, rather than allowing those who are naturally Assimilative to adapt. [JNelson] How do the Overleaves figure into how to teach a specific subject matter that a culture has already decided to teach? For instance, how would you teach Inspiration or Emotionally inclined fragments about math? [M_Entity] The premise of a subject would not change. In the case of Math, of course the focus must be on objects and their relation to each other. For each Axis, it is not necessarily that the means to teach would vary so wildly, but that the emphasis in the environment would change. For instance, the Inspirational children would learn Math based in an environment that is less structured, more intuitive, and made room for feelings. The Expressive children would learn through socializing, acting out the theories in story or song, and playing. A stereotypical classroom for the Inspirational children would be calmer, working with 3 dimensional representations, and using discussion, guessing, and emotional language. A Stereotypical classroom for the Expressive children would be boisterous, loud, using humor, food, and smells and lots and lots of personal associations to learn. The difference we propose is that a room with structure, pen and paper, and facing forward, are only specifically beneficial to Assimilation, and secondarily to Action. Beanbags chairs, toys, and stage, regardless of the subject, would keep a Sage’s or Artisan’s attention in any subject all the way through High School.
