    Hello all!

    Howdy! New member here. Been studying the teachings for 7 or 8 years and finally got a channeling last year by David Gregg. I'm fascinated by the Michael Teachings and the more I learn about it, the more it makes sense. I generally don't bring it up to other people because if they aren't familiar with the teachings then I come off as crazy. (huh?, a Ouija board? what?) So I'm glad this community exists. Any 10/7 cadre/entity peeps out there? Anyone else have Aggressive, Impatient or Skeptical overleaves paired with the goal of Flow?
  2. Michael Speaks Transcript Open Floor Q&A February 24, 2013 Channel: Troy Tolley [DianeHB] Why are Kings interested in mastery? How would you define what mastery is? [MEntity] Kings are not so much "interested" in Mastery as they are inherently inclined toward such a state. It is at the positive pole of their Being. Kings are described as "Kings" because they are overseers, interpreting and interacting with life and other fragments in much the same way a literal King would tend to a Kingdom. Kings are about directing, allowing, encouraging, motivating, all of the parts that make up the whole that is greater than that sum of parts. When a King is in the positive pole, Mastery, they are capable of comprehending the inherent nature of the parts, and then directing those parts as means to function as a whole. Those "parts" can be people, aspects of the life, facets of the self, dynamics of a relationship, etc. When a King knows her part in that kingdom of parts, there is comprehension and Mastery. When a King separates herself from those parts, puts herself outside of, above, or below, then there is Tyranny. Tyranny is the demand that parts behave and comply as expected, not as they are inherently inclined. The greatest peace that comes for a King is when she allows for her state to be as she is inclined, rather than as she has demanded or expected. And this is why Mastery is vital for the wholeness of a King. [brian] You mentioned in previous sessions about the destruction of Atlantis and the mass migration of survivors from Atlantis to other areas. Are those events in this parallel, what caused the destruction, where was Atlantis located, and what remains of it today? [MEntity] In response to Brian: Yes, those events were a part of "this" parallel, and would appear to be in most. The destruction came as a result of a massive earthquake, and was located a great distance from the coast of what is now Ireland. Most of what remains of Atlantis today is in the form of romanticized lore, such as those of mythical animals that did, actually, exist such as the unicorn, and magical oracles, stories of Avalon, etc. [Maureen] You said to me in an exchange, about lives we (Michael and my Essence) had shared together, “The culture had declined into an observation-based system, so we did not get the extensive details about all 12 planets and our binary Sun into the subject, but it was a start. The art was lost before that. It was one of our last great projects among some of our Configurations.” What are the two “missing” planets you spoke of? What do you mean by Binary Sun? When I look up into the sky I only see one?? [MEntity] In response to Maureen: these planets are not missing, but simply fail to fall into the general acceptance of what a "planet" is, as the definition has been rather undefined. We consider Ceres, Chiron, and another planet we referred to by a name that is irrelevant by now is identified by simple numbers and letters at this point. Our response requires more elaboration, because we did not use this far-outer planet in consideration; only the first two. We used the Moon as a planet. As for your binary sun, one would not necessarily ever see the partner of a binary sun, as they are simply bound in orbit about a common center of mass. [Maureen] Like a Dark Sun? [MEntity] We clarify to say that one would not necessarily look up and see two suns, but it may show up as a star in the sky, or be seen by telescope, or other technology. [Maureen] What would it be identified as today? [MEntity] We cannot get a name through Troy at this moment. [Maureen] Thanks Michael! [MEntity] One that would be acceptable or understood. [Martha] Can you tell us more about how the Internet functions in terms of parallels? Is it possible to see information, posts, sites, comments, etc that is sourced from other parallels? I don't mean evidence to prove the existence of parallels themselves. Is the internet itself that we can experience is not 100% tied to “our” personal parallel? If we can see people in crowds from other parallels, then can we see their data on the internet? [MEntity] In response to Martha: Keep in mind that "parallels" are variations on frequency, to be simplistic. They are the same time, different space. That "different space" can happen emotionally, intellectually, or physically. In most instances where we mention parallels, we are speaking of physical variations that cannot access one another physically. However, in a crowd of people sharing the same physical space, there can be a multitude of representations from various "parallels" because each are, literally, not in the same space intellectually or emotionally, even if they remain physically in the same space. [Martha] so, how does that translate for online data [MEntity] To help clarify, we prefer to use the term "realities" vs "parallels." So that those who are in a crowd may be in the same "parallel" as defined by physical space, but they are not in the same "reality." We spoke a bit to this in our elaboration of the 9 Realities, and the process that occurs along the way to generating parallels as you understand them. [Martha] Well, I certainly think there are people who don't live in the same reality! I call them Republicans. I'll have to reread the 9 Realities piece [MEntity] Online would adhere to the same physics as offline. You may come across a great deal of varying realities in terms of emotional or intellectual, but there would be no access to physical parallel versions beyond anomalies formed by convergences or memory. You would be correct about those who align with various political parties. These represent various realities as generated by emotion and intellect. [Martha] I guess this explains why my experience of other versions of myself seems to be emotional/intellectual more than anything else, like imagining memories [MEntity] It is quite easy to access your parallels, even across physical divisions, via intellect or emotion, or imagination. [Oscar] Hey Michael(s) :) In 1912 a book dealer named Wilfrid Voynich purchased a manuscript (now named after him) full of mysterious texts and images. The texts haven't been deciphered so far. Could you tell me what the texts (and images) in this Voynich Manuscript are about, and in which language it is written (is it in a code?)? [MEntity] This script reflects the imagination of a Sage/Artisan fragment telling a story in an imaginary language. We do not think it is in code, any more than any language is code, but because it was being created "for fun," it was not as consistent in creation as a code or actual language would have been. It appears to have begun as a dream journal, and then grew into elaboration. [Martha] what I read had it as some kind of plant/medical compilation of knowledge [Oscar] well, at least that's what several of the images seem to indicate, yeah [MEntity] It may appear to be so, but it is more a story. [Oscar] what is the story supposed to be about? [MEntity] The illustrations would probably depict the devic lives that were dreamt, and pursued in understanding. It would include alchemical pursuits as understood from the dreams and interactions. [Martha] I don't think scholars have been able to identify many of the drawings :) [Maureen] I guess Scholars need to put on their Sage/Artisan "hats" Martha ;) [MEntity] The depictions were intended to be documentation from the perspective and half-understood, imaginative language of the devic kingdom, which would have variations of perspective on both existing plants and astral plants. There were many who pursued these lines of dream work and documentation as part of a growing spirituality at the time, but it happens that only this one manuscript was found. [Oscar] Was it (or others like it) written by anyone whose name we might know or recognize? [MEntity] The "story" aspect was intended to emphasize the potential for dissolving a divide between dimensions, particularly between those of Human and Nature. We do not have a name that would be of any meaning. That Artisan-Cast Sage, however, is incarnated and is one of our students. We will conclude here for today. Good day to each of you.

Although this session suggests that the missing content will be added, this has not yet been done. The roles covered in this session are those that were represented by session attendees. MEntity: Hello to all of you. We are here. We will begin with a discussion on the topic requested. Before doing so, we would like to point out that while it may seem to be the case, it is actually impossible to misrepresent, misunderstand, or misapply our teaching. When we say "impossible," we speak in relative terms that describe the fact of so many nuances and dynamics that go into representation, understanding, and applying our teaching. Our teaching cannot be misrepresented because it is either represented, or it is not. Beyond that, it cannot be misrepresented because if the student is not discerning and questioning beyond the representation, then he or she is not learning anyway. Our teaching cannot be misunderstood because this implies that there is a standard method and means for understanding. The only time this teaching is "misunderstood" is if one standard is held up against another. You will understand this teaching as you understand it. However, we will add to that statement that your understanding is never complete, and to presume that it is would be the end of learning. Our teaching cannot be misapplied, as again, this would imply a neat standard that describes how it "should" be applied. Even when our teaching is used as a platform for justifying behaviors, or to seek a sense of specialness, it is being applied on your terms, and those are the only terms we encourage. However, we would add to that statement that your terms are never fully understood, and to presume that your terms are static is to halt growth. When we say "halt growth" and "the end of learning," we mean these as temporary conditions of the Personality, and not permanent on any meaningful level for Essence. Though Troy's introduction was not intended to provoke this clarification from us, we do think it important to distinguish our channels' opinions from our own. That being said, there is validity to the fact that there is little recorded from us through our channels about the distinctions among the Roles in how they manifest through the Soul Ages, and we can address that today. We must point out, though, that anything we describe about any aspect of our teaching will, by necessity, be "generalized," as there is simply no way to describe ALL Old Sages, for instance. Numerous factors go into the manifestation of a Personality and Essence within a lifetime. Our Teachings can best be understood in both CONTEXTUAL and HOLISTIC terms. Contextual in that each phrase, term, or polarity is distinct within a specific context, and that context is an entity in itself, so to speak. Holistic in that this is a system that works dynamically, "organically," and when understood as a system, comes to life in a way that cannot be fully understood in its parts. For instance, if one were to be described or dismissed as being only a Kidney, it would not capture the full humanity of that individual, but to understand the functioning and purpose of the Kidney is vital on its own. Furthermore, lacking comprehension of the full humanity of that individual leaves one lacking understanding in how that particular Kidney actually functions for that particular person. We say all of this to you before delving into the topic at hand because what we will describe today, for the most part, is CONTEXTUAL. Within the time limits, we will cover Mature and Old Soul contexts for each Role, but will complete the subject with Troy so that Infant, Baby, and Young are included in exploring each Role. Each of the Roles through the Soul Ages could best be understood as manifesting more and more Essence through the Personalities that are created. Essence Manifestation can and does happen within all Soul Ages, but the degrees to which that manifestation occurs does grow. What we will describe today are what those degrees might look like for the Mature and Old Roles, in both positive and negative ways. Keep in mind that regardless of your technical Soul Age, you may be manifesting younger Soul Ages at various points within the life, or for the entire lifetime. For the most part, manifestation of various soul ages is proportional to the various contexts of your life, so that if you work within a Young Soul environment, you may call upon the Young Soul aspects of your Essence, and in Intimate circles, you may call on more of your actual Soul Age. "Manifesting Soul Age" is not static, and is not a description of limitations. It is simply a description of emphasis and resource for the lifetime, a relationship, a career, project, etc. What we describe today is a Role manifesting its actual Soul Age. Because of Personality, this may show up wildly different among that Roles "in the world," so what we describe may only be obvious to you privately. The progression through the Soul Ages for the Roles could be described as a progression of emphasis from DOING to HAVING to BEING. Infant and Baby emphasize DOING. Young emphasizes HAVING. Mature emphasizes the reconciliation between HAVING and BEING. And Old emphasizes BEING. Understanding this can help lend insights into the various Soul Ages and how the Roles manifest. Now we will walk through the Roles as they might be understood in Mature and Old Soul contexts. MATURE SERVERS Mature Servers tend to find themselves struggling with the reconciliation of Having Recognition, and Being Helpful. Over the course of the Young Soul Age, it finally occurs to the Server on a profound level that it is okay to be recognized, praised, rewarded, and that a reciprocating circuit of energy is vital to sustaining Service. Service is not a one-way circuit. One cannot serve where it is not received, and one cannot continue to serve without some form of exchange of nurturing at the very least. For many lifetimes previous to the Young Soul Age, this nurturing is either neglected until it cannot be any longer, or it is found in breaks between Serving. The Young Server then tends to use that entire Age to "catch up" on self-service to the extent that it can. In the Mature Age, then, the reconciliation begins between having that necessity of exchange in nurturing, and the core Being that seeks to serve in meaningful ways. Mature Servers, then, tend to be extremely busy, pulled in many directions, internally and externally, while they struggle with issues of utter availability and ineffective over-extension. The eventual reconciliation comes when the Mature Server only offers service when it can. OLD SERVERS The Old Server now emphasizes Being, and in this case, Being Helpful. At the very core of the Server is the design to HELP. (An aside: At first, all design in the early Soul Ages is manifested as compulsion as the default design is relied upon, but eventually becomes impulsion as the capacity for conscious choice grows.) Old Servers often do not "serve" at all in the capacity that one would think of as serving. The Mature Soul is ACTIVE. The Old Soul is PASSIVE. In this case, the Old Server "passively" Helps. The Old Server then begins to use exemplification as his or her means of offering Help. The entire life, self, and Being become the manifestation of Essence in that the Old Server WILL NOT allow himself or herself to suffer. If help can be gained from that by another, then the Old Server may extend upon that, but it has learned that suffering is a useless experience and will refuse to Help at the expense of self, but will unconditionally Help those who are willing to give up suffering. That may sound conditional, but it is not. It is simply a hard lesson learned that those who suffer most often choose not to be helped in any meaningful way. We define "suffer" here as that state of intellectual and emotional overwroughtness that leaves no room for solutions. Those who suffer in that way eventually learn that they are the only ones who can transform that experience, and all other influences are merely salves or addictions. The Old Server does not cater to that endless dynamic. MATURE ARTISANS The Mature Artisan has just come from an Age where it experienced being able to create and have everything it could possibly imagine within the constraints of resources at the time. The Mature Artisan now enters into an Age that must reconcile Having What It Wants and Being Who It Needs. Previous to this Soul Age, simply wanting something was often enough to have it, because it could either be created, or it could be discovered, and most of what was wanted was tangible and all "new" to the Artisan. In the Mature Soul Age, nothing tangible is "new" anymore, and what is most wanted is often intangible. This causes a struggle for the Mature Artisan so that cravings can often show up as a distraction with "things" as a means to compensate for the intangible, or as rejection of "things" as a means to hold out for the intangible. Mature Artisans can often find themselves in desperate relationships, devastating patterns of collapse and destruction, and manipulative methods for finding ways to be special. More than any other Role, this Role, in general, struggles with the inner battle between Specialness and Uniqueness. What the Mature Artisans eventually realize is that it is THEY whom they crave, desire, and want more than anything "in the world." Therein lies the reconciliation between Having and Being for the Mature Artisan. Artisans tend to develop patterns that leave them functioning only as conduits, often feeling as if "they" are left out, or left behind. During the Mature Soul Age, it is the first time in a long time that they "come home to themselves." And recognize their vital part in the equation of their desires and wants. Until that realization has been comprehended, there will be many instances where the Mature Artisan develops symbiotic relationships that continue to enforce the loss, or blurring, of self with environment or another. OLD ARTISANS The Old Artisan is often no longer concerned with creating tangible things, but struggles to make the entire life the creation, the work of art. Everything around the Old Artisan becomes symbolic and every symbol has meaning in relation to the self. The Old Artisan, then, is often tireless in the effort to showcase the life, the Personality, and even the relationships as symbolic extensions of the Soul. They become extremely sensitive to any deviation or distraction from their own symbology, and can often find themselves bewildered, hurting, and profoundly confused by these things. They develop systems of symbology that work, but often do not realize that these are not always the same symbols or meanings that others will tend to use. Eventually the Old Artisan realizes that there are a multitude of symbols and meanings for symbols that cannot be truly standardized, and this is when the Artisan is finally free. In conclusion for the Old Artisan, if the freedom is not found through the realization of various symbolic systems, then that Artisan may find he or she begins to tunnel-vision into a closed network that only supports his or her system of symbols, and anything beyond that is either a threat, or is ignored. Due to time constraints, we will do our best to streamline the details for each of the following Roles, and Troy will "flesh it out" for the final transcript. We will address Old Warrior, Old Scholar, Old Sage, and Old Priest now. We will include the rest in the final transcript. OLD WARRIORS The Old Warrior has now moved through the Mature Age that helped to reconcile the struggle between HAVING AMBITION and BEING SAFE. During the Mature Age, both of those terms become profoundly redefined so that "ambition" becomes "enthusiasm" and "safe" becomes "loved." The Old Warrior then begins to naturally generate enthusiasm over emphasis on accomplishment and ambition, and begins to persuade circles of love from the self and from others as opposed to circles of protection and safety. Protection is no longer seen in terms of defense against physical threats, but as a transformation of strengths through the capacity to love. This may go counter to what is often understood as a Warrior, but the Old Warrior is done fighting, and seeks to share what it has found to be the most bountiful resource and strength in the universe: Love. Of course, this can show up in many different ways and to several different degrees, but when the Old Warrior is manifested, it has a profound sense of safety in the world and seeks to extend that validity to others. If the Old Warrior has not comprehended that sense of safety, he or she will often show up as emphasizing warnings, concerns, preemptive strategies, and constant over-anticipation. OLD SCHOLARS The Old Scholar has now moved through the Mature Age that helped to reconcile the struggle between HAVING EXPERIENCE and BEING INTIMATE. During the Mature Age, the reconciliation between Experience and Intimacy is a long, often painful, road for the Scholar. Much of what is considered necessary by the Scholar for Experience is to have as "clean" an experience as possible, which often means leaving others out of the inner world that processes these experiences. QUESTION: Could you define intimacy in the sense of your meaning? MEntity: Intimacy here is meant as any form of Resonance, from sharing common ground to sex. The key being that it is INCLUSIVE, in that what is shared is not only mutual, but experienced as mutual. More than any other Role, the Scholar struggles with issues of Intimacy, of feeling connected to others, of finding common ground, and of feeling embraced. The Old Scholar has realized that Experience and Intimacy are not mutually exclusive, but Intimacy has been put off for so long for the sake of experiments, exploration, etc., that the world of Intimacy as an Old Soul is entirely new for the most part. Because the nature of the Scholar is to observe objectively, then this search for Intimacy may often be approached from the angle of provision, in that IF it exists, then it must be something provided for the Scholar, and not something he or she must work to generate from the self. Intimacy is such an amorphous concept to the Scholar that in the Old Soul Age, it will either feign intimacy as a means to have any kind of human contact at all, often leaving it to others to sort out the details, or to nurture that intimacy, or it will finally realize that he or she IS the source of intimacy, and begin to develop this from "the inside, out." The issue for the Scholar is often that if it is not found externally, then it is not a valid Experience, and therefore is not to be trusted. Ironically, anything that is already deemed as so amorphous that it cannot be trusted when generated within will also be deemed suspicious when generated from others. Therefore, the key for the Old Scholar in his or her embrace of Being Intimate is to begin comprehending TRUST. Trust is a mix of anticipated results and past experiences. It is not blind, and therefore it can be used by the Scholar. When the Old Scholar begins to recognize his or her embrace of himself, he or she can then begin to embrace others. If the embrace of others is attempted before the embrace of self, then there will always be an equation that returns the Scholar back to the beginning. They are highly mathematical that way. Trust comes in as the gathering of experience grows to show the Scholar that he or she will not die because he or she reached out, and that one is not alone just because one might actually like oneself. In short, the validity of Being for the Scholar cannot be proven through others, but the validity of others can be proven through the embrace of Being. OLD SAGES The Old Sage has now moved through the Mature Age that helped to reconcile the struggle between HAVING FUN and BEING HONEST. Now the Old Sage begins to emphasize Being Honest, even if it means at the expense of Fun. Old Sages often begin to withdraw from the "stage" and move into tighter circles that value honesty and true communication. It is no longer appealing in any way to simply perform the life. For the first time, the Old Sage values the importance of truly being SEEN. Even if there are a myriad of personas from habit and skill, the emphasis will still be there underlying every relationship and every opportunity: PLEASE SEE ME. This starts out as a kind of panic for some Sages entering the Old Soul Age, in that their existence depends on the utter honesty and rawness of being SEEN, and this can show up in desperate attempts to be understood, clarifying themselves, over-explaining, etc. This eventually levels out to a simple state of invitation. The emphasis moves from needing to be seen exactly how the Sage sees himself or herself to an emphasis on understanding how others actually see. This comprehension frees the Old Sage from the panic and loneliness of not being seen, and moves him or her into simply BEING HONEST. Once the Sage realizes that he or she cannot control how others interpret others, then Being Honest stands as an invitation, not as a prompt. QUESTION: How much of this "role in essence" material applies to casting? MEntity: All of what we have described can be extrapolated to apply to understanding Casting and Imprinting, in terms of Roles. INTERJECTION: I've never thought of Imprinting being a co-equal on use of role descriptors MEntity: For many who live as the Role that most influenced them, it can be helpful for freeing the self by transforming the dynamic that keeps the imprinting locked in place. Imprinting will always supercede Role and Casting, as Personality has the most control and influence while Physical. We should say, Imprinting will always supercede Role, Casting, and Overleaves. INTERJECTION: So, that's why it's especially important to figure out one's parents' profiles :) MEntity: Not necessarily. What would be more important is honest self-examination to determine just how conflicted one is within himself or herself. When Imprinting is useful, there is no conflict. When Imprinting is harmful, there is often pain ranging from apathy to tremendous turmoil. Harmful Imprinting ALWAYS shows up as the reprimanding voice that undermines your efforts. ALWAYS. Harmful Imprinting ALWAYS shows up as any conclusive voice within that divides you and defeats you. Your inherent nature, when free from harmful Imprinting, is truthful, loving, and energetic. When weighed with harmful Imprinting, you become divided with a dishonest, shameful, and undermining force against that inherent nature. However, it must be understood that Imprinting is NEVER PERMANENT and can be shed at any moment. If one struggles for any length of time with that Imprinting that is harmful, then some part of the self finds some value in it. We define "harmful Imprinting" as any Imprinting that has been kept beyond the 3rd Internal Monad that does not serve the Personality and Essence in any helpful way. QUESTION: why and how is it that a personality tends to manifest more essence as it progresses through the soul ages? QUESTION: still don't understand this... QUESTION is personality designed that way by essence? MEntity: The progression of Soul Ages is our way of describing a regaining of consciousness that allows for bridging between the Essence and Personality. That regaining of consciousness is done through experience. Therefore, in early lifetimes that have less experience, then it goes that less consciousness is involved, and thus less manifestation of Essence. Even the Oldest of Souls must regain consciousness within a single lifetime, yet that regaining of consciousness is accelerated because of the sheer weight of experience previous to that lifetime. It is not that manifestation of Essence does not happen within earlier lifetimes, but that the manifestation is specific to the degree of consciousness, relative to the degree of experience. So an Infant Soul can manifest Essence fully into the lifetime, but most of that manifestation would still be within the contexts (or degrees) of Survival. When an Old Soul is born into a body, that infant body is going to drool and wail and poop itself as it focuses on surviving. To that degree, that Personality's consciousness can manifest Essence. As that body grows, so does its capacity for consciousness. In that same way, the ROLE grows for ESSENCE. The Role and Essence are two different things. Therefore, the "body" that is the Role must grow over lifetimes as a means to manifest more of its Essence.

We understand the requested Topic to be that of “Inputs.” Very little has been said in terms of Inputs because the topic is a bit more nonlinear in appearance than most of the aspects of our Teaching. It “makes no sense” to some of our channels and students; therefore the topic is dismissed or vaguely understood. In nearly all aspects of our Teaching there is an order and consistency that can be counted on, but some aspects of the universe, while still sustaining an awesome order, may not “fit in” with the patterns of every other thing you have come to understand. We assure you though; there is still an awesome order and compassionate intelligence behind even the most bewildering parts of the universe, known and unknown. First, we will define “INPUT” as a channel or frequency through which an Essence becomes aware, processes, and comprehends. 3 of the Roles in Essence have ONE INPUT; these are the Scholar, Warrior, and King Essences. 2 of the Roles in Essence have TWO INPUTS; these are the Priest and Server. 1 of the Roles in Essence has THREE INPUTS; this is the Sage. 1 of the Roles in Essence has FIVE INPUTS; this is the Artisan. The strange distribution of Inputs has to do with the Roles themselves acting as “sensory units,” so to speak, for Tao. Because the Physical Plane is of the most unique and densest of all Planes, three Roles in Essence are distributed with ONE INPUT so as to gain awareness, Process, and Comprehend FROM BEGINNING TO END in a linear fashion inherent to the Physical Plane. By default, Warriors and Kings are ACTION AXIS Roles and therefore inherently have ONE INPUT, as that is “natural” to Action. Being the most comfortable and compatible with the Physical Plane, Tao (or “the universe”) is able to gain profound experiences through the linear process of gaining awareness and comprehension. The Scholars (who are the memory cells of Tao in many ways) have ONE INPUT so as to maintain a direct link to the Akashic Records/Plane. Because Scholars are specifically designed as ambient, experiential “sponges”, this ONE INPUT allows them to act as excellent, direct, recording devices and conduits between the Physical Plane and the Akashic Plane. Although all fragments update their own records (usually having to be done between lives or through conscious awareness), Scholars do so for themselves, their Entity, and/or Cadre. Because Scholars, Warriors, and Kings are by nature inclined to focus on very specific themes for study, conquest, or mastery (respectively), having One Input allows them to excel in the Task at Hand (by standards of Essence.) With this understanding, it would not be amiss to say that ALL FRAGMENTS have at least One Input focused on NOW, or in other words, capable of being focused on the present, the task at hand, the moment, etc. The Inspiration Roles of Priest and Server have an additional Input as a means to maintain a connection to what INSPIRES them. In general, the Two Inputs for the Priest will have one focused on the Task At Hand, while the other maintains the Vision, or Higher Ideal. For the Server, one Input is focused on the Task At Hand, while the other is focused on the Common Good, or WHAT IS NEEDED. Inspirational Roles were the Tao’s idea of providing the universe with a means to provide for ALL FRAGMENTS an access to something “beyond the moment.” It could be said that the Priest then provides access to “what is beyond the Self”, while the Server provides access to “what is within the Self.” In general, the Expression Roles are the means for the Tao to continue reinventing or transforming itself throughout the Planes. As Kings and Warriors we can attest to the importance of the “pesky Sage” and the “kooky Artisans” as the single- or double-input Roles can tend to take to life a bit more “seriously”. Artisans and Sages can certainly be serious, which tends to be interpreted as “dramatic”, but they do bring a much-needed levity to the density of the Physical Plane. The Sage, in addition to the one Input focused on the Task At Hand, will have a second Input to sustain connection to whatever that fragment deems is “the Truth,” while a third Input is focused on the expression of that Truth. This can be translated rather simply as a Sage having an Input for gauging his Audience (task at hand), his Truth, and how to express that to the Audience. The Artisan, having the most Inputs, is the Tao’s means to constantly keep the universe “fresh,” revitalized, and “alive.” They are the guarantee in the Universe that ideas of the Tao can continue to come into existence. All Roles are expressions of Tao, of course, but Artisans are more a direct conduit for Tao than can sometimes be comprehended by the mundane levels of life. The Single-Input Roles are focused on directly experiencing the Planes, the Dual-Input Roles are focused on expanding beyond them, the Triple-Input Role is focused on keeping the truth entertaining, and the Quintet-Input Role is focused on creating new contexts for it all. The Artisan then has one Input on the Task At Hand, another on generating creativity, another on maintaining or generating the manifestation of a previous creation, another on maintaining or generating the medium of that manifestation, and a final Input that is literally tuned to All That Has Come To Be. Artisans are CHANGE manifested; therefore they are tuned to those five dimensions of Creativity. This is simply a basic introduction to the Inputs and why they are distributed in this manner among the Roles, but there is a great deal more information available about these aspects of Essence. We will take your questions now. [val2] If a sage has three inputs what happens when they have an Artisan for essence twins and task companions; are they adding to their inputs? [M_Entity] Though “bleedthrough” can tend to lend seemingly extra dimensional awareness to the default Inputs of a Role, they are NOT “added” to the Inputs. Because of the intimate nature between Essence Twins and between Task Companions, there is a level of communication and assessment that does allow a potential, alternative angle of Input, but this is no different from asking for a friend’s opinion, so to speak. The use of the “opinion” may or may not influence the ability for you to use of your own Inputs appropriately, but they do not literally get added in. [Suzanne] Michael, how does frequency tie into the one input for warrior? I have a rather high 65 for a warrior, being sage cast, and can multitask well. [M_Entity] In the younger soul ages the Inputs can tend to manifest in ways affected by the general design of the soul, but as the soul gains experience, so does it gain the ability to utilize the Input more appropriately. As the Essence evolves, so does its ability to seek out the experiences through which balance can be attained and maintained. This eventual balance applies to all extremes of design, from the highly-Focused or highly-Creative Energy Ratio to high or low Frequencies. To respond directly to your example, a simple interpretation of a Higher Frequency matched with One Input could be that the movement toward Awareness, through a Process, and to Comprehension (the triad of each Input), is “faster” than a Lower Frequency with One Input. “Multitasking” is not an indicator of the number of Inputs; it is a sign of adaptability within your current culture. A One-Input Role and a Five-Input Role can equally “multitask”, but the method and internal experience for each may be quite different. [ClaireN] Could you please explain how the last 4 Artisan inputs are experienced in a life? [M_Entity] This will be highly simplistic, but we think we may be able to describe a familiar scenario: For an Artisan, other than the Moment, or Task At Hand, there will always seem to be a need for something NEW, a search inside or out for the Muse or Inspiration. This could be said to be Channel 2. This could manifest as simply as an idea or as profoundly as a deep, spiritual inspirational move to creativity. In general then Channel 2 would be the channel that Searches, Desires, Knows, and NEEDS to create change. Channel 3 then will be focused on trying to “finish” that which has being created previously, ranging from a new job, new move, to a new art project. Channel 3 monitors your “children,” so to speak. Channel 4 then is focused on the HOW of a project or path of change. This can range from choosing your colors and clay for an art project, to designing or finding the path that is capable of actually being the conduit or medium for the creation or change. Channel 4 can be said to be your “mapping system.” Channel 5 is the broadest Channel, or Input, as it is simultaneously aware of all that has come to pass and all the probabilities of the future, and the entire dance that is possible among them. This can show up in an Artisan’s life as the part of them that is painfully aware of the past and its supposed mistakes, while desperately aware of an idealized utopia of a distant future of their making. However it shows up, it can be said to be the Channel that is constantly COMPARING. As we said, this is highly simplistic, but a bit more for you to consider as we share this information over time. [Kathryn41] How does casting influence input? Does a multi-input casting position add dimensionality to a single input role, and a single input casting position adds focus for a multi-input role? [M_Entity] Your Role in Essence is how Tao experiences the Lower Planes “through you,” while the Casting (being more permanent and pervasive) could be said to be how Tao experiences “through you” while transiting the Higher Planes. While Physical, your Casting (in terms of Input) is the most directly available “alternative” means of Input, but it is ONLY THAT, an alternative. Casting is a POSITION relative to a group, while your Role in Essence IS YOU. Casting as an alternative Input is accessed in that way VERY RARELY and usually when access to multidimensional awareness is sought. Some Channels, Healers, and legitimate Psychics tend to access Casting Input influences, if necessary. For most, it is your Role in Essence that defines your Inputs. [JNelson] It would seem every Fragment is capable of experiencing the world like the way an Artisan does through each Input. How does it manifest uniquely in an Artisan compared to everyone else? [M_Entity] We remind you that what we describe is the ESSENCE'S experience, not necessarily the Personality's. This is where some confusion comes in. The Personality of every single Fragment, regardless of its Essence, has the ability to design Overleaves that are more or less focused, inspirational, creative, or entertaining. Examining your Overleaves in relation to the Axis can reveal the way your Personality filters the world FOR Essence. This expands on the possibilities of all Fragments then. That is why a Warrior can be absolutely creative, and an Artisan can “kick ass.” This is not to say the design of Overleaves has an effect on how Essence INPUTS, but rather, it does help explain why varying Fragments feel they EXPERIENCE or BEHAVE in ways different than our Input descriptions define. The way the Five Inputs manifest MOST uniquely could be in the final examination of how an Artisan processes a life. Artisans do not process experiences directly or with focus, but rather have varying levels of commitment to varying themes in their lives. A Warrior may find a theme and find himself compelled to stick through it until everything that can possibly be “milked” from it is. An Artisan, on the other hand, may find she has many patterns in her life, all repeating and being highlighted and revisited in varying stages of her life. The most defining aspect of the Artisan, in terms of inputs, could be said to be in their deeply restless search for “something.” Although this trait can be attributed to any fragment, we are speaking in far more profound ways than a simple distraction for a Personality. The Artisan has a “knowing” that there is so much more than what is seen and yet is it is not touchable until she creates it. This “knowing” vs “creating” can either fuse the Personality and Essence into a powerful force of creativity, or the Personality begins to splinter and reject the Essence. This is one of the largest problems I have understanding Inputs. How are they different from Centers? I'm used to thinking of Centers and their Parts are the "input" and "output" of a person. Here, Inputs seem to take the place of Centers. MICHAEL: CENTERS are a specific dimension of experience and/or expression, and while they are contexts with which the process of life occurs, they are not the actual processing, itself. As Centers do have an "input" and an "output" (which could be alternatively described as "Experience"/"Expression" of the Center), they are contexts shared by shared by most living beings and they are not unique to Sentience. ALL living things have an Instinctive Center, for instance, while Bees and other community Insects or schools of Fish are primarily, purely Moving Centered; Higher Mammals, especially those who live interactively with Humans are primarily, purely Emotionally Centered (even the Feline), while Higher Primates, such as Chimpanzees begin to become capable of being Intellectually Centered. Centers are functions and tools of the Bodies of the Physical Plane. "Outside" of the Physical Plane, they are seen more accurately as the varying contexts of interaction with Tao. Inputs, however, are part of the unique design of Sentience and the varying Essence Roles. The number of Inputs you have simply describes how you would use ANY of the tools available to you, whether this be your Attitude or your Centering. It would lend you greater understanding if you were to differentiate between the fact of Essence's manner of processing vs the tools available as a means to support that processing. Inputs, whether having One, Two, Three, or Five, is simply the number of themes ESSENCE is capable of: Stage 1. Gaining Awareness within Stage 2. Processes that Awareness Stage 3. Comprehends what has been Processed Applying that Triad to each Input, and that Input's main focus, can help you understand how your Essence processes the life. In general, Kings, Warriors, and Scholars, can "only" process one theme at a time, whether the Personality is submerged in several experiential themes or not. If needed, the focus of the Input can change for some lengths of time, but these Roles will not find the comfort and adaptability to be submerged in several themes at once. We are not speaking of their being capable of watching TV while sewing. We are speaking of actual life themes as they apply to Essence's digestion of them. Scholars, Warriors, and Kings move steadily and enduringly through their experiences until comprehension is attained. We say "comprehension" as it applies to ESSENCE, not necessarily Personality. Until the Older Soul Ages, Personality is not so concerned with comprehension simultaneously to Essence's comprehension. Question: I'm curious about the Michael Math behind the number of Inputs given to specific Roles. I suspect there is more to be told. MICHAEL: Though meaning could be found in the numerical values and distribution, it would an arbitrary assignment of meaning and symbolism. Inputs are similar to the function of varying digestive systems; some have one stomach, some have four, etc. The meaning behind the number of Inputs has more to do with the particular "species" of Essence and its inclination toward certain experiential "diets" than anything else. Question: This is a generic Michael question beyond just Inputs, but I'm wondering how Scholars keep "records" differently from other Roles. MICHAEL: Scholars not only manage their own Records, but as each Essence updates its own records within the Entity and Cadre, the Scholars update the Akashic Records. In other words, each Essence has its own "personal library", but the Scholar extends on that to make that information "universal". Keeping that information as up-to-date, so to speak, as possible allows many versions of consciousness and sentience to draw from it. This is the stuff of new universes. Scholars have One Input as having One Input increases the durability to indulge in specific experiences, rather than touching briefly on a theme, and then moving to new ones, then returning later with new awareness. Scholars complete their themes so as to have a "purer" experience. Question: Quoting Michael: "Channel 4, then is focused on the HOW of a project or path of change. This can range from choosing your colors and clay for an art project, to designing or finding the path that is capable of being the conduit or medium for the creation or change." Again, can't everyone focus on choosing colors and clay for an art project? Does this mean that the Artisan Essence is constantly focused on such selections? MICHAEL: A Warrior may choose its material for a creative project, but that will be within the confines of its One Input, or one theme. In other words, that creative project ALTOGETHER will have a Stage 2, which may BE the choosing of materials. For an Artisan, though, the choosing of a medium will have its OWN Stage 2.

    Kings and Mastery

    [Extracted from: Michael Speaks: February 2013] [DianeHB] Why are Kings interested in mastery? How would you define what mastery is? [MEntity] Kings are not so much "interested" in Mastery as they are inherently inclined toward such a state. It is at the positive pole of their Being. Kings are described as "Kings" because they are overseers, interpreting and interacting with life and other fragments in much the same way a literal King would tend to a Kingdom. Kings are about directing, allowing, encouraging, motivating, all of the parts that make up the whole that is greater than that sum of parts. When a King is in the positive pole, Mastery, they are capable of comprehending the inherent nature of the parts, and then directing those parts as means to function as a whole. Those "parts" can be people, aspects of the life, facets of the self, dynamics of a relationship, etc. When a King knows her part in that kingdom of parts, there is comprehension and Mastery. When a King separates herself from those parts, puts herself outside of, above, or below, then there is Tyranny. Tyranny is the demand that parts behave and comply as expected, not as they are inherently inclined. The greatest peace that comes for a King is when she allows for her state to be as she is inclined, rather than as she has demanded or expected. And this is why Mastery is vital for the wholeness of a King.

    The Role Kings play for their Entity

So, if Scholars function as information processing units and Priests as facilitators and counselors, what functions do Servers, Artisans, Warriors, Sages, and Kings perform for their Entity/Cadre? MEntity: ... Kings are the Roles that really do not come into full bloom until the Causal Plane. They are the delegators of the Cadres and Entity, they are the Role that eventually reminds everyone where their seats are, where their place is, and allows for a far more efficiently functioning Entity to occur so that the true exploration of existence can occur. Existence on a level that is not capable of being explored while fragmented. And Kings, of course, feel this even in their individual lifetimes because it will never, while across the entire spectrum of incarnations while in the Physical Plane, feel as if things are right, things are settled, or working the way they could be. Because of this inherent nature as a functioning part of a Cadre or Entity to bring that order on a scale that is very difficult to see or understand or implement while in a physical body in the Physical Plane.

    [Extracted from: NYC Michael Speaks: Wants & Needs of Essence Roles] MEntity: We understand that Troy has asked for us to discuss what we might describe as the WANT and the NEED of each Essence Role, so we’ve looked at this in a way that we hope will be easy to validate for each of you and your Roles. ... Next the Kings: Kings are consciously motivate by the WANT for INDEPENDENCE. There is a sense that they must hold their own, that they must fulfill that want in many different ways that all are associated with the term “independence.” We will say that that term is often defined differently among our different Kings, even among those in our own entity. We had our differences in what we considered “independent” and it is quite often contextual to the lifetime. But the King will tend toward that as a form of navigation, to want to fulfill their sense of independence, their sense of self-sufficiency, their sense of being their primary resource. This does not necessarily mean that they have to do this in any insular way, but they often do, cutting themselves off from others as a way of displaying or exemplifying their independence, but that is not necessary. That is why their NEED, and what they are subconsciously motivated by, is INTIMACY. [Comment] Wow. Look at that. Hooking up with the Sages! [Question] I feel independence, and this has been something that's been driving me crazy because of the contextual aspect of me being young and still supported by my family. Um, that factor made me actually doubt whether I'd even finished/exited my third internal monad in the positive pole. But you said it's not necessary to cut myself off? Because right now that's all I've been desperately trying to do. MEntity: To cut yourself off as a form of independence? [Comment] Yes. MEntity: No, that is not … as we said, there are going to be different definitions of what independence means. But, as we said as well, the wants and needs evolve over time. So the King realizes that “Oh, I do not have to cut out the rest of the world as a way of being independent. Oh, I do not have to cut out all of my resources as a way of being independent, but rather I can use my resources in a way that is my own.” They become a part of your independence. They become a source of your independence, a support for your independence. They are not in any way contradicting your independence. They become inclusive of your independence. And that is why the rite of passage that you described — the third internal monad, which is about the process of declaring and owning your independence, your self-sufficiency — can be done still while being supported, as long as you start to own the responsibility of how you use those resources. It is about that sense of responsibility for how you utilize those resources. But the need that will subconsciously motivate the navigations of life for a King often falls into terms of intimacy. They, more than — we will say not much more than the Scholar, but almost on par with the Scholar — have the most difficult time establishing a sense of intimacy, allowing that intimacy, that closeness to another, that confidence in another. In terms of the self, this intimacy is also about letting you get to know you as well. That intimacy is not just about others, as we said, these needs can be fulfilled on your own. Often, there is a denial of the self in the process of the life, and then the needs continually bring you back to experiences that, force you — not by external forces, but simply by terms of your navigation — put you in experiences that force you to learn more about yourself, to get to know you, and to accept you. So that is what we mean by intimacy in this case. It's not just about being close to another, but about also being internally aligned and close to yourself. Do you understand? Do the Kings in here resonate to these wants and needs? [Comment] Yes [Question] Is it common that Kings have a difficult time establishing intimacy because they want to be independent and they see that as a reflection of relying on someone else? MEntity: Yes. They can often pit those against each other. “To give in too much to intimacy means that I've given too much into dependence.” Ironically, one of the greatest ways for Kings to become the most independent is to allow dependence. Because the King, in terms of its manifesting essence, has to recognize its part in the dynamic of life, not as apart from the dynamic of life. They are not an island, but a part of a community. When the King owns that their sense of independence, their sense of resources, is also dependent on their exchanges with others, their recognizing valid resources, their recognizing and delegating appropriately around them … this is what mastery is. That is when the mastery comes in for the king, is when they are able to not just do it alone, but to have recognized who can do it with them. [Question] Is there a negative element to being a King where you might be very resistant or defensive to constructive feedback or criticism. So should you think “I can figure this out on my own,” and you almost, in a negative way that's self-defeating, don't want to accept what other people have to say that may actually help you? MEntity: Oh we remember the days. Yes, we are guilty of this in our incarnations as well. Many of us died for those very reasons trying to “figure it out on our own” and not allow input from other sources. We had to learn how to trust — and that would be the other term we might use in place of “intimacy,” is that you are motivated by that need for trust. You NEED to have that level of TRUST as a form of independence, because you have to trust those who are around you, providing for you, and contributing to your life in a way that matters to you. You must trust that. So the King will find himself or herself often in positions where they are challenging the concept of trust, and challenging the concept of intimacy/trust, questioning their level of trust and the trust of others. It can become quite a dominating issue in the life. Do the Kings here recognize this? To be more specific to your question, we wouldn't say that it is necessarily a negative thing to say “I want to do this myself.” It is only considered a negative thing if it is harming you to do so, or if it is not allowing you to get done what it is you'd like to get done when you are refusing support or input from another. Do you understand? [Comment] Yes [Question] We were talking about Role versus Casting earlier in conversation, and Troy had said on a daily basis we usually sort of project or demonstrate our Cast, but your Role, when everything's sort of in alignment is when your Role really shines. So I was thinking in terms of the king, ironically, does the king perhaps finally get to shine when he or she gets help when they need the help from other people, or rely on people for what they need to rely on them for, because they can't take care of those things on their own, and when they put all those ducks in a row, so to speak, that allows their essence to be made manifest and that's when they can shine. And sometimes they get in their own way because they don't think that they're allowed to reach out, and thus they're not shining. MEntity: You're speaking of Kings? [Comment] I'm speaking of Kings. I'm applying what we talked about earlier to this particular role of the King. MEntity: Yes. If we heard your question correctly, then yes. That sense of insularity and lack of independence can often be, as we said, precisely because they are not depending on and trusting those who are contributing. Did we hear the question correctly? [Comment] Right. Sometimes you need to reach out and get help elsewhere to put you in a position where you do get to shine as a King. MEntity: Yes. More often than not, the Kings will have that offered to them and it can become quite annoying to the King when people are trying to contribute when they are trying to figure things out on their own. They will often hear these forms of contribution as a din around them and miss that one key form of input that may have been beneficial to them, because they have written everyone off by that point, and it can be easy to miss that one or two sources that would have helped to elevate them in terms of independence. [Question] So what both of you were pretty much outlining was the process of delegation, right? Acknowledging that sometimes others will be able to do a better job at a certain task than you will. MEntity: Yes. There is that. We will say that delegation is combined with allowing as well. Delegation is more of an active recognition or seeking out of others who could contribute and allowance is that reception of those who are offering it. [Comment] Trusting them to do it. MEntity: Yes.

    King: Power of Legitimacy

    [Excerpted from OMW: Manifesting Power] MEntity: We will discuss the concept of Power with you today. First, we will clarify what is meant by Power in our teaching, which we think is a meaning that extends to include most uses of the word. In our teaching, Power is an Expression Axis term. This is because Power can come from any number of sources and be implemented through any number of methods, but it requires Form, Expression, for it to be in existence. All terms on the Expression Axis require a move into Form for existence. The terms we choose for our Overleaf system are part of every individual life in some way, even as each Personality is a particular combination of emphasized terms. For example, one grows in a lifetime even if one does not have a Goal of Growth. Each fragment will have to contend with his or her relationship to Power, even if the Mode is not Power. Power is a spectrum that describes one's presence. The form of any kind of Power can range from between violent oppression that destroys to a quiet lucidity that awakens. Each Essence comes with a kind of built-in source of Power. How that comes into form is up to that fragment, and we have seen that every fragment will explore the entire range from violence to lucidity. Each Essence Role has a specific source or style of Power. We will share these with you, now. Keep in mind that Power is either GENERATED or EXTRACTED. There are other terms that could be used to describe these, but these terms will do. Power either comes from within, or without. Power that comes from within is regenerative and unlimited. Power that comes from without is dependent and limited. Keep this in mind as we describe the various Power of each Role. ... KINGS KINGS carry within them the Power of Legitimacy. When this Power is Extracted, it is a path of Power that depends upon adhering to inherited, imposed, or implied rules, standards, and principles. A King can do this for a long time, even for lifetimes, as a means for access to Power. "If I play by the rules, if I behave, if I enforce what I am told, I have Power." Then their Presence is legitimized. "I did what I was supposed to do." This can then carry over into how the King legitimizes others. If they adhere to the principles, rules, standards of which the King has determined are set, then you are legitimate in their eyes. When the King shifts toward an internal source of Power, this Legitimacy shifts toward being self-defined, flexible, and self-purposed. This Power regenerates in unlimited ways because the Legitimacy is defined by a sense of internal integrity, and this is then extended as respect for others who carry within them this internal integrity. The King who comes into Manifestation tends to be able to see the shift in the life from where Power was dependent upon external standards that isolated them from others in various ways, to where Power is a matter of internal definition and integrity that then draws them to others who uphold that, as well. For the KING, Legitimacy can show up as SPIRIT when regenerative, and as RULING when dependent. By Spirit here we mean that all superficialities fall away for the sake of a more authentic theme, intention, self, etc. Ruling is a blind adherence to an enforcement of an inherited standard, limitation, or law. ... For both the King and the Warrior, this Power tends to come into effect in terms of DOING. What the King or Warrior DOES, or what others are DOING, is where this Power comes up, either positively or negatively.

    [Excerpted from Michael Speaks: Living as Essence.] MEntity: Today we will speak to you about "living as Essence," or "manifesting Essence," which essentially translates into living from the Positive Poles of your Overleaves. What we will share today is relative to the Essence Roles, so your particular dynamic of Overleaves is not relevant to how one's Essence Manifests, as there are consistencies to the core qualities of each Role. However, because of your own Overleaves' dynamics, you may find variations on what we share. ... If one thinks of each life being a story, then what we can do to help each of you understand how you live as Essence is to put this in light of the story of your life. ... For the KING, the question is: IS THIS THE STORY I WANTED TO LIVE? Or put another way, "AM I ALIVE IN THIS STORY?" Kings, more than most other Roles, will endure the stories of their lives to such an extent that they no longer feel alive. They will continue down a trajectory for decades before hitting a wall that forces them to wake up from their stupor and BE ALIVE. So for the Kings who seek to live as Essence, the vibrancy of living must be considered as a parameter for staying on track and in the positive poles. If the King does not feel alive, he is likely not living the story he meant to live, and is likely not living as Essence. Kings, more than other Roles, often feel that enduring boredom and tedium are honorable and noble, so there is some sense of great pride in enduring this. And they can and will do so for years. However, there are few things as emotionally moving and inspiring than to see a King wake up. To see and hear a King laughing and giddy with excitement is profoundly touching. We dare say that our King students may actually cringe at the association of "giddy" with King, but it happens. And so the King who seeks to live as Essence must regularly ask, "AM I ALIVE IN THIS STORY?" "IS THIS THE STORY I MEANT TO LIVE?" and in asking these questions, she will be able to help herself navigate her choices, actions, and paths to higher ground.

I recently had some issues with my assistant's attitude that made me really angry with her. Occasionally when I point out mistakes or instruct her to do something differently on the computer, she would interrupt me and repeatedly deny any mistakes so that I couldn't even get a word in to explain the mistake or train her how to do it correctly. ... MEntity: As for how to get through to the individual in question, repetitiveness is likely the only way. DianeHB: You mean just keep addressing the issue as it comes up? MEntity: It may require patience, but if the goal is to break through and to bring about change, then you must bring to her attention these mistakes over and over. But each time, you must reset your energy as if it is the first time. Any exasperation or anger motivating your approach may break the progress. "Oh, hey, let me show you how this is supposed to be done." "Oh, hey, let me show you how this is supposed to be done." "Oh, hey, let me show you how this is supposed to be done." DianeHB: My challenge is I'm overworked myself and I'm really not in the mood to babysit people. MEntity: There are definitive dynamics in the workplace that arise as positive and negative roles/positions. Understanding how to navigate these as they arise can be quite empowering. Diane, it is important to consider two things here: If it is not part of your position to "babysit," then you likely have the right and power to escort the situation to someone who is in that position. Inform the individual that you will be partnering her with the person who can further help her. If it is part of your position to "babysit," then you must first stop referring to it as "babysitting." This is Tyranny. You may be overworked, and it is fair to be frustrated and exhausted, but you have the capacity to lead. Choose Leadership. They are not just people filling cogs, and then inconveniencing you when they fall short. They are human beings with lives, with fears, with inabilities and insecurities and overwhelm, as well. Choose Mastery. This is not just a scenario that is out to get you, but a scenario that can provide a rich learning experience and possibly change everything for you as you continue to claim your right to the energy that is yours. There will always be failing people. There will always be flailing people. There will always be mistakes. There will always be ups and downs and great days and stressful days. What Mastery allows is for you to keep the Human alive in there. DianeHB: Mastery is hard. People are hard. MEntity: When life becomes a matter of THINGS that need to stay in their place, you have moved to Tyranny. Life and People are a glorious mess. They are not just moving parts or made up of moving parts, but are containers of creativity, feeling, desire, sadness, joy, etc. You are not in optimum conditions. You know this. It is part of the built-in atmosphere for the moment. It is stressful. We know this. You know this. Everyone knows this. None of this will ever be a valid excuse for anyone to strip another of their Humanness. You were taught to strip yourself of your Humanness as a method for being a successful and silent cog. You called bullshit on this long ago. Now you are okay with being angry when you are angry and you know you have a right to be happy in your efforts to be successful. But in your waking up to this right for yourself, you may have forgotten to include freeing others along with you. Weakness and defensiveness in others is not something with which to be disgusted. It is an invitation to help another remember her Humanness. DianeHB: Thank you for reminding me. MEntity: This is not to make an excuse for poor performance or lack of skill that may cause more harm than good, but if it is only a matter of patience and kindness, then we can say that choosing the patience and kindness is valid. If others are at risk because of the lack of skill or mistakes, then that is a different context that requires action to help keep everyone from harm. You must make that call. We remind you of this Humanness, not just to help in your managing of others, but as a reminder of your own work toward Mastery. You do not seek the path of Mastery at the expense of your Humanness. Being responsible with and for your feelings is Good Work. Consider this: How effective would we be with our students if when they repeated "mistakes," we simply expressed anger, took it personally, or saw it as babysitting? Would it have been more effective for us to say, "For Tao's sake, get with it!"? Probably not. For some students we have to speak more directly, for others more poetically, for others in repetition, for others in layers, and so on. You may think that the comparison of our position to yours is a bit of a false equivalency or entirely different, but this would be untrue. DianeHB: LOL. That's exactly what I was thinking. But I don't disagree with your point about effectiveness. MEntity: One of the final "lessons" of the Old Soul is the ownership and responsibility of her position as Teacher. You are, all, Teachers. Your life is a Teaching. And your relationships, however brief, professional, deep, or shallow, are your Students. You may not be able to make this situation better. WARRIORS - need to be Won Over - defaulting to Reciprocal Love KINGS - need you to Let Them Love - defaulting to Agape Love These needs are correlated to MARTYRDOM and IMPATIENCE, which are about Losing Control of Space, and Losing Control of Time. In other words, the Warrior needs shared "territory" to Love, and The King needs shared "time" to Love.

    I'm a king soul. For most of my life I've operated from the negative pole. I really want to move to the positive. How do I gain patience? I tend to get frustrated easily and give up. For any role how do you become the happiest version of yourself? What techniques do y'all use? How do you overcome depression? Is it normal for a king soul to become withdrawn? Around age 8 I shut down socially. I'm in college now and have gained a little confidence. Every time I try to socialize I'm pushy and don't act the way I want. It makes me feel awful. I was listening to the podcast about the real you. Michael said gaps between the real you and the you that's presented are places where you lack nurturing. Any tips for the king soul to nurture itself?

I don't know if you guys know this, but some channels get in the Overleaves for the year as they relate to their particular group/community, or sometimes the entire region around the area of that community, and other times it is just relative to their nation or continent, and then some receive the Overleaves for the globe. All are valid, but I've tended to find the global overleaves to be most relevant for use in the year for more people and helps us understand what is happening outside of our doors and not just in our personal circles. For instance, California can have its own set of overleaves, while the United States might have another set of Overleaves, and the planet having yet another set of Overleaves. Sometimes they are a match, sometimes they are in conflict. This year there is a LOT of pockets of varying Overleaf sets within the global set, which the global set helps explain. MICHAEL'S STATEMENT ABOUT THE OVERLEAVES FOR A YEAR Our Overleaves system can be used to describe any collection of energies, ranging from the dynamics of the actual Personality to the general “mood” of a room, society, fictional character, theme of groups, or a planet’s general atmosphere of consciousness. The more participating one is in “the world,” the more likely these energies will be of concern, though one’s inactivity does not exempt one from world or local energies, anymore than staying inside can take away the fact of a rainstorm. The rainstorm outside can have as much an effect on one inside as on one who is outside, depending on personal interpretations and experiences of that rainstorm. The very basic energy, or basic context, of a year can be described in two Overleaves: the Role and the Center. These two basic energies are those that can contribute to your year feeling "comfortable" or "challenged" during the year unfolding, depending on your own Overleaves and your method of participation in "the world." These two energies are most obvious in the first three months of a year, but their effects will remain steady throughout the year. In addition to these basic energies, the GOAL of the year will become implemented in those first three months, approximately. It can be said that ALL of the Overleaves we use to describe the year are in effect ALL year, but the particular frames of time described below are the "seasonal" emphasis of those particular Overleaf qualities. General “Seasonal” Energy emphasis: The ENTIRE YEAR is based within the energies of the ROLE and CENTERING. January through March implements and emphasizes the GOAL. April through June implements and emphasizes the MODE. July through September implements and emphasizes the ATTITUDE. October through December implements and emphasizes the CHIEF FEATURE. 2008 Global Overleaves ROLE: King Center: Emotional GOAL: Growth MODE: Perseverance ATTITUDE: Spiritualist CHIEF NEGATIVE FEATURE: Arrogance MICHAEL: As the year of 2008 begins, so will the unrolling of the energy that we would describe as KING and EMOTIONAL energies. These energies will more than likely describe the basic context of the coming year, based on our observations of momentum and patterns for your planet. Most fragments intend for this year to emphasize a true shift in leadership, authority, and guidance on a global scale (and on a personal level), but with the exploration rooted in Emotional Centering, the shift might come at some cost to some degree for some who will be disappointed, with near-bliss for others who are not disappointed. In a King year, politics tend to be amplified in the media and brought to an important individual level, and since this appears to be an Emotionally Centered year, we imagine this process will tend toward being "very personal," with reactions and expressions strong in response to the shifts during the year. This could be said to be a year of EXTREMES, emphasizing strong divisions of stance and approach to almost everything, as this is a year of Growth and this would mean to us that everyone will be searching for, and creating, MEANING from their perceptions and experiences. Contrasts in Meaning can indicate Division and Herding will ensue as each person seeks to find the "like-minded" and merge with the sanctuary of that crowd. With Perseverance in the air, we would expect that very few will "back down" in their personal perceptions and meanings when confronted with a difference, leading us to observe high potential for gang wars heightening in activity, political chaos to rise and flow forth, and escalation of war, in general. With Spiritualist in effect for the year, it can indicate a great deal of energy generated from unfounded BELIEFS and the efforts to impose those beliefs upon others as a form of validation, rather than seeking the inherent validation of a perception through verification. This could be said to be a year of absolute redirection toward a potential that has yet to have been tapped among the populations of the globe as a whole community, or an extreme set back in entrenching the divisions among various populations. The same could be said among smaller communities and families as those in authority persevere, unchanging in their agendas even at the cost of those who are "below" him or her. What we've described so far has been based on the momentum as it stands at this very point, but it is still a high probability that shifts can occur in the directions that would be deemed more "positive." While extremes will most likely remain a factor of 2008, those extremes could be seen as defining lines among populations and communities as a means to more clearly bring to each what is needed and wanted, using the heart as a bridge across those differences and sharing resources, offering inclusions, and either moving into authority a person who can tend to these variations, or moving the current authority toward a broader consciousness that can then tend to all differences. In another Emotionally-centered year, it might not be surprising that floods, pipe breaks, dehydration, and other water-related issues come up for individuals and smaller communities. As this is not a Higher Centered year, we don't suspect any major disasters resulting from floods, but this could change. From our perception at this point, the highest potential for "disaster" in terms of flooding might come in the form of a dam bursting. This disaster would be relative to the consciousness generating energy around the planet and if the extremes move increasingly toward division and battle, a dam burst would not be surprising. Because of the King energy and the Emotionally-centered year, we also suspect that "discoveries" will be a major theme throughout the year, though many of these discoveries will have happened rather further in the past, it might be deemed that announcements are appropriate now. We say this because when the King is mixed with Emotional Energy, it tends to be important to expose "secrets" as a means to maintain peace. In other words, the more people know (or think they know), the less restless and intent they tend to be in attention toward the authority at hand. Highlights during the year for the Older souls might be in the exciting transcendence of current levels of communication between Gorillas and Humans; a dramatic display of compassion from a pod of dolphins helping a family; and potential resurgence of several papers that were thought to have burned in the fires of Alexandrian libraries. We speak of these not as a prediction, but as having high probability for showing up in your current year. For our students we can suggest as the year unfolds from January through March that most of your emphasis is going to move toward creating or uncovering meaning in your days, your relationships, your work, etc. It will suddenly seem a strong motivating factor to continue doing what you are doing because you realize that you truly bring meaning to your life through its implementation, or you shift directions drastically, finally saying YES to the directions that you know now can generate and support meaning for you. This is the energy of Growth as it brings into emphasis the Evolution that is possible in every experience. Evolution on this level can only occur if one has created meaning for the experience. If no meaning has been created, Confusion occurs. We can say to those who relate to the Confusing energies that we suggest defining what you wish to gain as Meaning from your experiences FIRST before trying to randomly find meaning imposed upon you in ways that make no sense. We see most of our students feeling a burst of "taking charge" of the direction of life and "standing tall" within the chosen context. For instance, those who wish to Love might find a strong emphasis on standing strong and stating with conviction, "I CAN Love. I Love." Those who might have been quieter and more humble in their display of skills and talents might now find the energy to "own" those skills and talents without downplaying or dismissing them, finding better footing for the direction one would like to go with those skills and talents. It could be said that they might now "stand tall" and proclaim, "This IS who I am! I bring this to the world for all of us!" For some, the emphasis might be on finally "standing tall" and doing what has been avoided for years, gaining the strength to proclaim, "I CAN DO and I WILL! I am SAFE!" Regardless of the emphasis, the potential for fulfilling intent is high during 2008 and we can encourage all of you to consider harnessing that energy for leadership, growth, perseverance, potential, and perception. As this century emphasizes more than ever the importance of CHOICE, it could be said that the choice this year for the globe is based in the decisions along personal paths that then lead to choices on larger scales between PEACE and WAR, literally and figuratively. -Michael

I suspect there is a flavor associated to the role that has Artisan casting. My sister is a Server, I work with a man who is an Artisan-cast Warrior, and I of course am an Artisan-cast Artisan. Can you briefly explain how Artisan casting provides flavor to the Server vs. the Warrior vs. the Artisan? Or is there no real difference to the effect of casting to each role? MEntity: As for Artisan Casting: the Role makes a definitive difference in how Casting is used, yes. In the simplest of terms, it could be said that: The Server would be CREATIVELY NURTURING/SERVING, or DELUSIONALLY BOUND/TRAPPED. The Artisan would be INNOVATIVELY/INGENIOUSLY/PRODUCTIVELY CREATIVE, or UNREALISTICALLY/CONFUSINGLY/NEUROTICALLY/PARANOID DELUSIONAL. The Warrior is CREATIVELY PERSUASIVE, or DELUSIONALLY COERCIVE. The Scholar would be CREATIVELY EXPERIENCED/KNOWLEDGEABLE, or DELUSIONALLY THEORETICAL/LOGICAL/ABSTRACT.
