This question was originally posted by ladthehun on 5/31/08. I have a question with three facets for Michael. 1) What is a typical last life on earth, after having finished the Old cycle? Is there a uniting pattern, or are all last lives different? 2) How often is a last Earth life a life of "enlightenment" , like we find in Nisargadatta, Maharshi, etc. Is that more the rule or the exception? 3) How many of you, Michael, were "enlightened" in the above sense while living on Earth? MICHAEL 1) What is a typical last life on earth, after having finished the Old cycle? Is there a uniting pattern, or are all last lives different? We would have to state that all "last lives" are different, but all last lives are lived as Essence, exemplifying that fragment's favorite ways of Being and this can show up discreetly or as extreme as the fragment determines. For most fragments, a "last life" is not planned as a last life, but becomes a last life. Once a fragment is 7th Level Old, any life can be a last life. 2) How often is a last Earth life a life of "enlightenment," like we find in Nisargadatta, Maharshi, etc. Is that more the rule or the exception? The concept of "enlightenment" is a relative term that cannot be contained by one method of expression. It is a higher form of the Goal of Discrimination and some last lifetimes end with this Goal, and some do not. 3) How many of you, Michael, were "enlightened" in the above sense while living on Earth? Approximately 3% of us (or 32 of us) had a last lifetime with a Goal of Discrimination that you might recognize as "enlightened." Clarification from Troy on the responses to the last 2 questions: I think they are saying that the concept of enlightenment as most people think of it, as some state of comprehension and bliss, can be found at the end of our exploration of Discrimination. They also point out that this traditional concept of enlightenment isn't the only form of enlightenment, and in fact is not of interest to everyone as a goal. But for the sake of the question, asking how many of our last lives are the kind that are comprehension and bliss, Michael didn't give a number, but only pointed that it's an exception, not a rule. And then in response to how many from the Michael entity had that kind of last lifetime enlightenment, they said about 3% of the fragments from their entity ended on a lifetime of Discrimination that led to the experience of that comprehension and bliss that are associated with the traditional interpretation of Enlightenment.
