  1. [Excerpt from Energy Report: July 2008] MEntity: By "meditate," we describe a triad of effort that starts with Examination, moves into Implementation, and then into Realization. For July, it would do our students well to examine which of the primary centers (Moving, Emotional, or Intellectual) is least-used or most out of balance, (this should be rather obvious to most of you) and then implement a behavior that brings about that Centering into your life. If you lack balance of Movement, then for a part of your week, your day, emphasize Movement: take a walk longer than you normally would; literally exercise; dance; stretch; do Yoga, etc. If you lack Emotional balance, then expose yourself to elements that provoke or soothe your emotions, such as listening to music (actually listening to it, not just having it as background); experiencing a live concert or performance; watching the sky, sunset, clouds; sitting with nature; etc. If you lack balance of Intellect, then for part of your week or your day, implement Intellectual experiences such as crossword puzzles, brain teasers; singing; shouting out randomly in nonsensical sounds to provoke laughter; telling the truth to a friend or self; writing a list of gratitude; sitting still; etc. On the other side of these experiences one would find the Realizations that come as part of Meditation.

    Health of Your Moving Center

[Extracted from MMW: The Health of your Moving Center] [Note: The session was originally slated to cover all the "lower" centers but became a session focused on the Moving Center.] MEntity: We have been asked to discuss the health of your "lower" Centers. We will begin with a quick review of these Centers. The "lower" Centers are thought of as the MOVING, EMOTIONAL, and INTELLECTUAL Centers. Though the Instinctive Center may be thought of as "lower," it is actually the meeting ground of all Centers, or the "hub," if you will. This can be confusing in terms of correlating to the Roles, but we will address this at another time. We will define "healthy" here as the Positive Poles of the Centers discussed today. We will define "unhealthy" as the Negative Poles. The discussion today will be about the Centers, not your Centering. In other words, your Centering merely describes your habitual and prioritized use of the Centers, but all of your Centers are working. So as we discuss a Center that is not a part of your Centering, it will still be relevant. MOVING CENTER: +Productive -Frustrative The greatest indicators of one's Moving Center Health is where one is in terms of patterns of Productivity or patterns of Frustration. When one feels as if progress is being made, there is Productivity, and this feels expansive. When progress is hindered, delayed, or halted, it can show up as Frustrating. The key here is not in a day of frustration or a day of productivity, but in the consistency of one over the other. The more you are frustrated, the more you are in the Negative Pole. The more you are productive, the more you are in the Positive Pole. It is the patterns that matter, not the pauses. There are times when a single event may come into play that feels as if it destroys progress or suddenly catapults one into progress after a long term of frustration. However powerful these single events are, it is the follow through, the larger pattern that will always matter most. If you have a tremendous breakthrough and then do not follow up on this, that pattern of frustration matters more than the breakthrough. If there is a tremendous setback, a blow to the life, to progress, it can seem all progress is lost, but it does not have to be. If the pattern of Productivity is upheld, then the blow to the life shifts into a curve, not a wall. [Participant interaction omitted] Two factors are key symptoms to the overall patterns of use of the Moving Center besides the obvious Production and Frustration. Your relationship with your BODY and your SELF-CONFIDENCE. The relationship with one's Body and the state of one's Self-Confidence are the deeper elements that indicate the foundation of one's Moving Center. If these are in poor states, then all use of the Moving Center will be affected. In other words, no matter how Productive you may be, you will have a much more difficult time experiencing this as progress if you have a poor relationship with your Body and lack Self-Confidence. Full access to the Positive Pole of your Moving Center means having a healthy and loving relationship with your Body and a strong sense of Self-Confidence. If you give "100%" of your effort to success and progress in the life, yet despise your body and/or bombard yourself with self-doubt, you may only have access to about 10% of your energy. Conversely, if one has great confidence and love for the body, then the slightest efforts can yield tremendous results. Loving your Body means accepting it AS IT IS and as an accurate representation of you, even as you may seek to improve and maintain it. Self-confidence means allowing room for self-doubt, but making choices based on intentions, not on fears and defenses. [Participant interaction omitted] ... It is important to note that older souls, and in particular Old Souls, have the greatest challenges with the Moving Center, even if Moving Centered or using the Moving Part. This is because the Moving Center tends to accumulate understanding about its nature and function only from actual action and movement, but as your Essence and Personalities move into more philosophical states of existence during lifetimes, the Moving Center is explored in its more subtle and expanded terms. The Moving Center does not merely manage movement and action, but all of your processing and movement of energy and resources, both tangible and intangible, obvious and subtle. The Old Soul does not tend to move away from immersion in the Physical Plane because she is "tired," but the Personality experiences this "being tired" because it is learning how to manage energy differently. When it was merely an equation of cause and effect, of physics, it was "easy." Hit the ball. Ball moves. But now you must be responsible, not only for the final form and action, but for the energy that fueled the action into form. [Participant interaction omitted] We think that Troy was a bit ambitious in asking us to cover all three Centers, so what we will do now is open the floor to your questions and save assessment of the other Centers for another exchange. Digging deeply into the Moving Center today is vital and your living with the thoughts and feelings from today for a while can help in further assessments.

    Moving Center: Linked to Goal

[Excerpt from OMW: You and Your Centers] MEntity: MOVING CENTER has as its Basic Functions the regulation of your movements, directions, and paths. In its simplest description for this exchange, we can say that it is how one navigates WHAT WORKS and WHAT DOES NOT WORK. This is everyone's means of creating or clearing his or her path through life. It is directly linked to the Goal. No matter what your Goal, in terms of Axis, it is your ACTIONS that create or clear your path to fulfilling it. One cannot fulfill their Goal in any lifetime without ACTION. In Positive Health, this shows up as an evolving capacity for LEARNING. Though learning happens among all Centers, there must be application and implementation for true learning while in a body. Regardless of one's Primary Centering, this Center is where one actually learns, at least in terms of the lifetime. Not necessarily how one learns math or how to raise a plant. Those who are Moving Centered will tend to have greater emphasis on the Goal as their priority for the life. When the Moving Center is in Negative Health, it often shows up for the older soul as AGITATION. One of the most direct means of healing this Center is to apply what one has learned. It is that simple. Keep in mind that this prompt for application of learning can come in the form of impulses, a quiet sense of knowing what one "should" do, and often as your means of handling pain. ... The reason there is a Goal is because it will require the use of the Moving Center in some way, even if one is not Moving Centered. When looking at how you are Agitated, look to your Goal. In most cases, it is directly relevant. It would indicate that you may not be applying all that you have learned. [GeraldineB] I could be self-deluded, but I don't feel all that much agitation with my Goal -- I've gotten quite patient with myself MEntity: Agitation tends not to come unless there is Learning that is not being applied. Agitation is a kind of short-circuiting that indicates the gap between action and experience/knowledge. ... For example, if you you find yourself in a pattern of Agitation with certain "kinds of people," or a circumstance, or relationship, you may not be applying the experiences and knowledge that has come from previous fulfillment of the Goal.

    Neglected Moving Center

[Excerpt from Michael Speaks: Freedom from Life Traps] MEntity: We realize that this sounds quite simplistic, to say that whatever centering of the three lower centers is neglected is the solution, but it truly is that simple. For an individual whose life feels as if it is blocked who is emotional centered intellectual part, more action is necessary in that life to break that cycle and to free that individual from the effects of the life trap. Nothing else is required. For the individual who has neglected the emotional centering, allowing feelings allowing affection allowing anything that related to trusting and perception would break the cycle. The emphasis on the neglected centering would be proportional to the weight of the life trap. So while someone who has neglected the emotional center could allow the experience of being hugged to be felt, it would not change the life in that moment. But in the same way that the life trap became a life trap through cumulative insults and wounding, so would the resolution come in cumulative effects. However it does not take as long as the life trap took to develop. It can be changed depending on the commitment and the awareness of the emphasis of the neglected center. Question: So if, using your example, emotional center intellectual part, having to use the moving center, is it in general or does it have to be specific to what your trap is? Moving is moving? We would say it has to be the positive pole, so in terms of a neglected moving center, you would not want to move to just move in terms of the negative pole of being frenetic or in some cases frustrated. Frustration and frenetic behavior are results of an imbalanced moving center. So having random fidgeting or restlessness, or sexcapades, or masturbation, or simply running errands and so forth, does not bring the resolve that is necessary. You would want to be in the positive pole which is productivity. In other words the actions would show results. The actions that you are taking bring about some sort of result that you intended. And that is our definition of productivity, in that the results that you intended you achieve.
  5. [Excerpt from Michael Speaks: September 2008] QUESTION: You have told earlier about suitable ways to meditate for people with emotional/intellectual and intellectual/moving centering. What about the rest: intellectual/emotional, emotional/moving, moving/intellectual and moving/emotional? MEntity: In nearly all cases for effective meditation, it is not so much about the Primary Center/Part, but about the Centering that is most often neglected. So an Emotionally-Centered/Intellectual Part, and an Intellectually-Centered/Emotional Part could both do well with a MOVING-CENTERED Meditation. Whatever your Centering/Part, you might find the most effective meditations to be in the realm of that third Center of Gravity that is not usually accessed. Moving-Centered Meditations can include anything that involves the Body, from taking a simple walk, to Tai Chi and Yoga to dancing the night away. Intellectually-Centered Meditations can include anything from crossword puzzles and brain teasers to such focused meditations as Transcendental Meditation, to good night of hilarity and comedy. Emotionally-Centered Meditations can include anything from a good listen to music that resonates with you, to cathartic expressions such as can be found in Primal Therapies, to night of tears and intensity at the movies. So a Moving Centered/Emotional Part or Emotional Centered/Moving Part can both do well to get out out the crosswords, brain teasers, or make their way to the nearest comedy venue. The point of meditation, in general, is to bring about a full functioning of all of the lower Centers, so it will always be most effective to focus first on that Centering that is most neglected. However, if one wants to just feel good and bring some awareness to one's natural, habitual processes, one can focus on a meditation that is resonant to the Primary Centering. Rather than compile a list of meditations for each Centering, each of you can consider this fairly accurately on your own: if it tends to emphasize the Body, it can be used as a Moving-Centered meditation. If it tends to draw up and emphasize the Emotions or feelings, it can be used as an Emotionally-Centered meditation. If it tends to bring about emphasis on the Intellect or thinking, it can be used as an Intellectually-Centered meditation. The difference between an experience being just another experience and its being a meditation is AWARENESS. When you are dancing, listening, or laughing, for example, bringing your awareness to the moment can instantly turn it into a kind of meditation.

    Goals & Triad of Movement

(Excerpt from Wholeness of Soul, Chapter 2, shared with permission) Movement can be said to be built from the triad of Action, Interaction, and Reaction. Life can be created or allowed through any point within that triad, but in any case, the ability to do so Confidently, and Without Attachment to results, will be the key to your more pleasant and pleasurable experience. Keep in mind that non-attachment is not apathy, nor is it a lack of desire. Non-attachment simply means that you acknowledge the inherent nature of change. GOALS & TRIAD OF MOVEMENT In most cases of the Ordinal Goal, the experiences of life will lean toward learning how to “REACT more Responsibly,” while the experiences of the Cardinal Goals will lean toward learning how to “ACT more Successfully.” Those Personalities who have the Goal of Relaxation/Flow will have experiences that lean toward learning how to “INTERACT more Navigationally.” We will define REACTION as your effort to minimize effects on you. We will define ACTION as your effort to maximize effects from you. We will define INTERACTION as the freedom from effort as a means to move with the fluctuations of Energy within the life. Reaction, Interaction, and Action can be done appropriately (positive) or inappropriately (negatively). When Reaction is appropriate, there is a RESPONSE to the Patterns within the life, like the use of an umbrella in an unexpected downpour of rain. Rain is a natural pattern in life, even if it is often unpredictable. However, how you respond to it often determines your experience of it. When Reaction to something as natural as rain is inappropriate, there is Defensiveness, such as anger, helplessness, and agitation at the rain’s effect on you. When Interaction is appropriate, there is NAVIGATION within the Patterns that are unfolding, much like a surfer on a wave, or the use of oars in a boat, but when Interaction is inappropriate, there is a crash into Paralysis, much like a sense of drowning in that wave, or losing one’s oars. When Action is appropriate, there is SUCCESS that is measurable and personally-fulfilling within the Patterns of the life, such as the fruits gathered from a watered crop, but when Action is inappropriate, there is a sense of Failure, as if one’s efforts meant nothing, such as might be the case if one were to find the yield from that crop not as expected. Appropriate Action does not undermine honest effort. POSITIVE > Responsible Navigation Success NEUTRAL > Reaction Interaction Action NEGATIVE > Defensive Paralysis Failure GOING TO EXTREMES Within all Goals there is a spectrum of experience that ranges across Reaction - Interaction - Action. Within that spectrum, there are extremes to which one might be inclined to fulfill his or her Goal that are counterproductive. In all Goals, the eventual point of balance will be in your capacity to REACT, INTERACT, and ACT effectively and appropriately, with confidence, trust, and non-attachment to results. If your Goal is Flow/Relaxation, you may find your “natural” counterproductive extremes lean toward Patterns of Inappropriate Interaction within events and relationships, so you may find an emphasis on your constantly learning how to Navigate, not control, the Actions and Reactions that are a part of life around you. Your increasing capacity to Navigate can then become the basis of more flexible and evolving definitions of Success, and improves your ability to Respond. If your Goal is Discrimination, Submission, or Re-evaluation, you may find you “naturally” lean toward Patterns of Inappropriate Reaction within events and relationships, so it could be said that there would be an emphasis on your constantly learning Responsibility (ability to respond) as a foundation for your definitions of Success, which then improves your ability to Navigate. If your Goal is Acceptance, Dominance, or Growth, you may find you “naturally” lean toward Patterns of Inappropriate Action over events and relationships, so it could be said that your emphasis is on constantly learning to define what Success even means to you in the first place so that you can build your foundation for understanding your Responsibilities, which then improves your ability to Navigate. Although we described the above as inclinations toward specific, inappropriate extremes relative to certain Goals, there are no rules to these inclinations, and one may experience any of these extremes, regardless of Goal. To help you examine further as to which extreme you may be inclined, regardless of your Goal, you can explore the following statements: When one experiences Inappropriate Actions, one tends to be disappointed in what one is GETTING OUT OF LIFE. When one experiences Inappropriate Reactions, one tends to be disappointed in what one is GETTING OUT OF OTHERS. When one experiences Inappropriate Interactions, one tends to be disappointed in what one is GETTING OUT OF ONESELF. People who are Responsible, Successful Navigators realize and behave in ways that recognize that WHAT YOU GET OUT OF LIFE, OTHERS, and SELF IS BASED ON WHAT YOU GIVE. THE TRUTH ABOUT THE LIE Some of you may delude yourselves into thinking that you “give and give and give” or “try and try and try” and you get nothing (or very little) in return, or that you are constantly imposed upon in some way that does not allow for your true nature to shine. This is one of your Great Lies to sustain the momentum of false security in the routine patterns of frustration in your life. The truth is: Your life is exactly as you need it; EXACTLY; without exception; including your defensiveness, your failures, your successes, and your responsibilities. This does not mean you like it or understand it. When you no longer need things the way they are (or think you need them the way they are), they can change. When you no longer want things they way they are, you can change them. There is something of value in your life AS IT IS, even with the effort and intent to change it. To interpret differently is to lie to one’s self. Unless there is another fragment, or group of fragments, who are creating a karmic imbalance by removing your ability to Choose, which would be in the form of some kind of imprisonment, torture, or death, then you have the ability to Act, Interact, or React in a way that can evolve in alignment with your wishes as a Personality and Essence. This means that any person who is undermining you, or any situation that is disempowering you, that you cannot describe as unlawful imprisonment, unsolicited torture, or murder, is a condition sustained ONLY by your participation in it. If you wanted things to change, you would change it. If you have not changed it, then there is some kind of value seeming to be gained from it. While this truth may seem harsh, it is, in fact, quite freeing. There is no fault here. No blame. Only a recognition of the nature of those undesired things in your life that could, can, or would change, but have not. You may not have control over many circumstances and conditions in your life, but you will always have control over your perspective of those circumstances and conditions, which is where the greatest and truest change exists. How you interpret your circumstances and conditions makes a difference. Being honest with yourselves about the investment you have in the supposed “worst,” or most uncomfortable, patterns of your life can be quite freeing, potentially unbinding your energy to move in ways that are far more genuinely alive, and beneficial for all involved. Some of your “worst” situations, conditions, or perspectives of those situations and conditions, may actually have a great deal of “payoff” for you in ways that you have not taken the time to explore because your Reactions are defensive. Or you may have the capacity to change your situation, condition, or perspective, or do things differently, but you have not made the effort because your Actions continue to be interpreted as Failures, instead of as processes of learning.

    Martial Body Type - Health

[Excerpt from POF - Cat Update and Lunar/Venusian/Martial Body Types] Juni: I was told my body types are Lunar, Venusian and Martial. Which of these are appearance, nature and health and how do I keep them healthy? MEntity: As for your Body Types, we see the Lunar as Appearance, Venusian as Nature, and Martial as Health. Of course, these blur across the categories so that Lunar and Venusian are actually Appearance, and Venusian Martial are Nature and Martial Lunar are Health, but those are the primary correlations. ... The Martial Health would mean exercise. The Martial body needs to move, to get motion in through and out of the body. There must be some routine of circuitry made with all of the vitality that is basic to the body, such as movement, food, water. [Juni] I dance a lot, and I know I feel much better when I do. MEntity: Yes.
