OMW - Jun 15, 2012 - Tending To your 7 Basic Rights Troy Tolley, Channel [MEntity] What we are asked to discuss today is rather vital to the health and well-being of a lifetime of incarnation, and is fairly directly hooked into the capacity for Personality to Manifest Essence for any extended period of time. For the sake of clarity, we will state here that while Chakras and Centers have resonance that can draw meaningful and relevant correlations, they are not the same system. Chakras are inherent energy management systems of varying complexities that are formed by bodies as a means to sustain form of some kind, whereas "Centering," in our teachings, while referencing Chakras, describes one's "center of gravity," or how one navigates the physical plane while in the body. Primary Centering is how one takes in the world around the body, while the Part is how one tends to emit themselves back out into the world. So while one may have Emotional Centering as a form of navigation, this would not necessarily mean that one has a strong or emphasized Heart Chakra, for instance. Nor would it mean one has an underused or de-emphasized Heart Chakra. We point the difference out here because there are Correlations and then there are Resonances between the systems, and they are not consistent with each other. We will not get into those differences here, but it will be important not to draw tight parallels between the two while exploring both systems, as they are, indeed, different systems. For today, we discuss the Chakras, and if we draw parallels to the Centers, it would be relevant in that context, but not necessarily in another context. The Chakras, then, are the connecting portals between Essence and Personality, or the Essence and Bodies. We speak in plural of the bodies, as there are various layers of the body that vary in density and function, and these bodies are the parts that bring the whole to "life," but each body, or density, could function on its own. Each body has a different experience of time and space and dimension, and each has a different emphasis of management for what and how to share with Essence, and each may have a different agenda, different wounding, different version of history, etc. And each body is in charge of fulfilling its own "right." We are speaking of these bodies as delineated, only for the sake of convenience and comprehension, but they function seamlessly and as a whole. It will not be helpful to think of these as separate, except insofar as it helps you to first grasp this particular topic. In other words, in much the same way that we could speak to you about how your fingers function as very specific tools as compared to your arms, they do not function without each other, and to focus on one over the other would be pointless. In order for Essence to experience the various Planes of Existence, there must be bodies. Essence, alone, has no bodies, no form, no location. As Essence is FIRST Cast from Tao, its most amorphous "form" is actually something more like a recording device: the Instinctive Center, or what would become the Root Chakra in a Physical Body. This is because Essence is actually "formed" from the Akashic Plane, which, in itself, is the only "plane" that is not a Plane. There is no incarnation or processing through that "plane," as it is only a memory bank and probability generator. This Instinctive Center is inherent in ALL that is Cast from Tao, which means that if it is "not" Tao, then it has an Instinctive Center, and if it is on the Physical Plane, no matter what it is, there is a Root Chakra, at the very least. In terms of Rights, then, this would be the very basic Right To Exist. Once a portion of energy is Cast from Tao, it is "forever" its own thing. We know of nothing that has lost that Right, regardless of form, return and exit from Tao, etc. It would be important, here, to define what we mean by "Rights." We mean the term in much the same way that it is already understood. These Rights are those qualities and states of Being, Having, and Doing that are fully guaranteed, inherent, and due. Once one is Cast from Tao, these Rights are permanent. For example, there will never be a "when" that you do not Exist. It is permanently your Right as Essence. In much the same way this works for Essence, this Right is inherent in its own creations, as well. So the Personality is always "born" from the memory bank and probability generating Instinctive Center of Essence, and cast with the very basic Right To Exist. This means that "you," as you know you, will "never" go away, even when "you" die. The form may change, the identity may evolve, and the attachments will wane, but the "you" that is you, cannot be undone. This is why we use the term "fragments" as both a reference to your Essence as a part of its higher contexts, but also in reference to the Personalities that exist as parts of an Essence. Essence is a microcosmic Tao. This Right to Exist translates into the individual Personality as its Right to its memories and its capacity for generating probabilities. In short, its Right to Choose. The capacity for choice exists in every known form, even if the contexts for choice are relative. The parameters of choice for an atom, a rock, or a chicken are very different from the choices of a Personality. The parameter of Choice of a Personality is very different from that of Essence, as well. This does not undermine the capacity for choice, though. One way of understanding this is to consider the choices necessary for a fighter pilot to make versus those of a housewife, or the difference in parameters of choice for a child in kindergarten versus those of the college graduate. These are not limitations imposed, but simply contextual. Your Essence must make Choices that a Personality will never have to face. And Personality must make choices that Essence would never have been able to make on its own. Grand Cycle after Grand Cycle, lifetime after lifetime, the Instinctive, or Root Chakra, is the only element carried forth, over and over and over. It becomes multilayered, as each Grand Cycle "stacks" a layer upon a layer so that there is no bleedthrough, and so that there is a fresh layer for recording, but those layers are always accessible by Essence. All other Chakras are new and relative to the Grand Cycle. That is because these other Chakras become the means by which the recording of experiences are funneled to the Instinctive. And those Chakras must be relative to the systems in place for that "universe." As no universe or Essence can be in existence without inherently owning an Instinctive Center, or Root Chakra, this is the only one that is at the root, if you will, of any existence. It is a misnomer to describe Essence as "owning" this, as Essence is, essentially, the same thing, but the same could be said of a Personality in relation to Essence; we delineate for purposes of understanding the parts that are the whole. In the same way that the developing Chakras relative to a Grand Cycle become the funnels for recording experiences to the Instinctive Center, so are Personalities within a specific Sentience funneling experiences to Essence. The first Chakra, then, that is developed, is that which allows for location. That would be the Second Chakra, or the Sacral Chakra. This Chakra is the first form of differentiation within a universe. This is not the same thing as separation. It is the capacity for form within form. Thus, it is also the Chakra of Creation. Because this is a Chakra that allows for location and form and creation, it is also the first body that "feels." Form within Form allows for intimacy, unison, oneness. We describe the Highest Plane, which inherently has these qualities, as the Buddhic Plane. This Right is vital for the use of Existence. It is the capacity for Existence to have location, and to create form. Everything "feels," then. Everything. However, what is often thought of as "feelings" are not the same thing here. Having the capacity for form within form means being aware of the self in relation to something else. All matter has that capacity to some degree. We refer to it as Consciousness. A rock, flea, and chicken have a consciousness just as your Essence does, and "you" do. The capacity for choice determines the capacity for Consciousness. A rock has a very different parameter of Choice from a chicken or a Sentient Human, so there are varying degree of Consciousness involved in each. However, for an Essence to ever move into a Sentient Species, it must evolve though all of those parameters of choice, or degrees of Consciousness, before considering Sentient exploration. Before doing so, the first "form within form" or creation of Essence is its formation of Entity, Cadre, and Energy Ring, etc. This is its first experience of location. And this is done through "feeling." Every Essence, then, could be said to "feel" its way through the universe to find its Entity Mates, old friends from other Grand Cycles, and the formation of what is the actual "Casting" begins. "Feeling" here, then, is the inclination toward the organizing of patterns, or the creation of harmony and resonance. When this is carried into a Physical Lifetime, or a Personality, this Right to Feel translates into your Right to Intimacy, to Creativity, to Pleasure. The next Chakra that is developed, then, is the 6th Chakra, or the Brow Chakra. This is first time that "Time" begins to be experienced. It is often said that "time is an illusion," but that is another misleading cliche. "Time" is simply a term that describes the organizing of experiences. Time for Essence is very different than Time for Personality, because they organize experiences very differently. Time for a gnat is very different from Time for a rock for the same reasons. This organizational capacity must be in place early on, if you will, so that experience can be funneled into Essence in a way that can be comprehended, for that is the "entire point" of Existence. In terms of Personality, this Right is quite similar, in that it is your Right to see beyond any circumstances, beyond the self, beyond the moment, to dream, to imagine, to be visionary, etc. The next Chakra that is developed, then, is the 7th Chakra, or the Crown Chakra, as this is the means through which Essence will comprehend its experiences of existence. It is the Right to Evolve. This is inherent in all matter, as well. The Rights to Exist, Feel, Dream, and Evolve, then, are inherent in all matter or energy. There are better words that may be considered, but this is a fair enough reference here. Yes, even Rocks have these Rights, at least in terms of the energy and matter that is the Rock. However, something very different begins to happen for those forms of Consciousness who choose to aim for exploration in Sentience (and not all forms of consciousness aim for that). The Chakras, or Rights, that we have described so far are the Rights that come from the very nature of energy as representative of Tao, and this gives all a vast range of exploration in form throughout that universe, since all matter would inherently have these Rights, or portals/chakras. Entire Entities and Energy Rings can then exist as mountain ranges, weather systems, herds of animals, insects, birds, amoeba, fish, water systems, etc. or whatever other terms might be used to describe the planet of interest that may house a candidate species for sentience. All of the Rights inherent in Essence are carried through those forms and implemented in ways that evolve the planet and its species and life forms. Nothing in existence was formed in matter without some consciousness involved in its coming into that existence of form. Nothing in existence of form is evolved without the consciousness that is experiencing that form and its parameters of choice. But what makes Sentience so unique is that it learns to use the inherent Chakras of the denser bodies, and turns those into an extension of Essence Rights. In the exploration through the Physical Plane, there comes a time when the aim for Sentience includes having the Rights of Essence represented through the bodies of that Plane. The first of these to be established is the 3rd Chakra, or the Right to Move, to Change, to Be Free. This tends to prompt the evolutionary chain of events that lead to the candidates for Sentience much later. This is because the Third Chakra is the Second Chakra, made Ordinal. Or, in our terms, the Moving Center begins being used for manifesting the Higher Moving Center. This 3rd Chakra, then, is developed in anything that can move or grow in form, and that Right will exist for anything that can move and grow within the Physical Plane after that Chakra has been developed for that form. Again, at least in terms of the consciousness exploring that form. In a Sentient Species, this Right continues as a similar Right. It is the Right of the Personality to make its own choices, choose its own actions, choose its own directions, grow in its own way, be free on its own terms, etc. The 4th Chakra is developed among species whose wiring has evolved to a point where it can become aware of itself beyond itself. This is not the same thing as self-awareness or Sentience, but a kind of empathy, and an awareness of Time, and a capacity for learning. In non-sentient Species this would be the Right to Nurture, to Care, to Empathize. In a Sentient Species, this becomes the Right to Love. And then the 5th Chakra is developed and explored through species who have gained the capacity for language. This becomes the Right to Communicate in non-sentient species, and becomes the Right to The Truth in a Sentient Species. By "language," we do not mean speaking English, but some form of complex symbols in sound, body, or other form that allows for the transfer of ideas. This 5th Chakra becomes the practice portal for the use of the 7th Chakra of Essence. As an aside: We will not go into detail about the Kingdoms that were developed and then explored on this planet by Essences aiming for Sentience, but we can say that, while this planet was explored by our Design of Sentience before choosing a different planet, and because our bodies were "moved here," many fragments within our Design are wholly unfamiliar with the the Kingdoms here, and therefore have evolved over time with a gross lack of concern for the Rights of the creatures who evolved here. What we have shared with you so far has been an overall picture of these Rights, why they are called Rights, and how they came about. When a species shifts from non-sentient to sentient, it tends to be because of the capacity for that species to not merely be experienced by Essence, but to represent Essence. [GeraldineB] Is this the basic reason that taking a sentient life requires karma to expiate it? The right to life? [MEntity] To some extent, yes. And that is because it is very different to experience a Physical Plane through a form, versus AS a form. We will point out here that before there is an incarnation as a Sentient Species, there is no 3rd, 4th, or 5th Chakra. But once locked into an incarnational cycle as a Sentient Species, that Essence is then locked into a path back to Tao that will require the full exploration of those Chakras AS ESSENCE, which means a process through not only the Physical Plane, as represented by the 3rd Chakra, but the Astral Plane, as represented by the 4th, and the Causal Plane, as represented by the 5th. It is important to understand the greater context for these Rights and the Chakras, but for the point of this workshop, we will now point you toward the ways in which you can use this information on a daily basis so that it is meaningful to "you" "now." [Janet] Do you mean before there is a plan to experience sentience there is no 3rd, 4th or 5th chakra? Earlier you said it was necessary to experience nurturing as non-sentient. [MEntity] Janet, those Chakras are developed as inherent in the species being explored, but only upon Sentience do they then become a part of Essence. That is because, when exploring the Chakras through non-sentience, they are stationary, if you will, in that species, but once Essence is exploring Sentience, those Chakras rise out of the Instinctive Center that is "inserted" into every body of each life. This is the difference between being a fragment that is Sentient, and being a part of a Hive Soul. Those stationary chakras act as portals for the exploring consciousness of that species. That species becomes like a hive of portals, or Chakras, through which various Essences, Entities, or even Energy Rings explore, diving in and out, etc. In Sentience, however, the bodies die without the consciousness that holds them together. To continue: In exploring your Rights as a Personality that is representative of Essence, and having all of the Rights that are inherent in both Essence and Personality, it will help you to understand one simple question for assessing what Right you are either blocking, ignoring, or undermining: What makes you Angry? Anger is the means through which bodies develop the capacity for alerting itself to the violation of Rights. We are using the term "anger" here because it is the most obvious, but anger is another term for helpless, and is the underlying factor in sadness or depression, as well. [Bobby] no offense taken [MEntity] If it helps, then, one can ask, what makes me sad? what makes me depressed? what makes me feel helpless? Most of what makes one helpless, sad, depressed, or angry is relative to one's capacity for fulfilling one's own Rights. None of the reasons or causes are relevant for anything other than your own process of awareness, as there are often limitations in what one can do to change the what, or the who, or the when of anger. [Maureen] How does the “Right to Life” or the “Right to Exist” play into being a Carnivore vs a Vegetarian? Do Humans have more “rights” than Animals? Do Animals have more “rights” than Plants? Is there a pecking order? (no chicken jokes here ) [MEntity] The point would be in helping you to understand how you can bring more fulfillment and flow to your Chakras, or Rights, to help you to Exist, Feel, Grow, Love, Communicate, Dream, and Know. No one species has more Rights than another, but eventually, Sentience begins to acknowledge the spectrum of Rights inherent in all form, and makes choices relative to how those are honored. A Sentient Species is the only species with the capacity to grasp the concept of Rights while in form. A factory animal may know anger, sadness, depression, helplessness because it is aware that its Right to Be Free has been violated, but it does not know that it has that Right. On their own terms, the creatures would exemplify their Right to Be Free, to Nurture, and to Communicate, as these are inherent in the species, but they would not know to defend these until they are violated. This is why many species can be enslaved and farmed, as they know only the instinctive defense of the Rights, but not the Rights. [Janet] Michael, my primary source of anger relates to limitation of choice -- in the form of people seeking to impose their beliefs on others via rules or laws and also in the form of individuals mindlessly accepting whatever their church or peer group say is best. I cannot see how this ties to a specific Right or chakra. It seems to affect all of them. Although, given your last statement, perhaps it most affects my right to be Free -- similar to the animals you have described. [MEntity] Janet, when you cannot seem to clearly identify what Right is in violation, what you might want to do is look at or feel where the anger is felt in the body when noting this violation. Where it is felt in the body is often a sign as to what Chakra is being violated. If you feel this in your stomach, or your gut, it may be that it is the Right to Be Free. [Janet] Well, that is helpful. I do feel it in my gut. [MEntity] Keep in mind, however, that while the "cause" may be consistent, the Right is not always the same one being violated. For instance, another time you may find that it is a violation of truth, or the right to the truth, and all of the variations on the truth. This may be felt in your body by wishing you would say something when you end up not speaking up. And so on. [Maureen] Do Plants "suffer" the same distinction then? [MEntity] As for Plants, they only suffer in terms of their Right to Grow. They do not experience suffering in other ways, for the most part, as they do not have the 4th and 5th Chakras developed. [Maureen] Michael -- Then Headaches may represent that your "Right to Dream" is being curtailed? .. and so on? [MEntity] Maureen, that would be correct, though one must be careful to explore the spectrum of interpretation that can be attributed to a Chakra and Right, so as not to become too literal in correlation. For instance, a headache might also speak to the refusal to see beyond one's circumstances, to explore imaginative solutions, etc. When one feels that his or her Rights are obstructed in some way, there is only one solution: YOU. [Maureen] Do Creatures have developed 4th and 5th Chakras then? [MEntity] Not all creatures have developed 4th and 5th Chakras. Creatures that have developed the capacity for Nurturing have developed the 4th, and Creatures that have developed the 5th have created a means of sharing ideas and concepts. In some way, somehow, you must acknowledge that your Right is actually still intact, or find a means through which you can acknowledge that it is implemented. When one feels that his Rights are violated, by the self or by others or by circumstances, there will ALWAYS be a way that those Rights can be fulfilled, or that are already being fulfilled. This is not the same thing as the Rights that are fought for within societies and communities, though these do represent internal battles within various groups. We are speaking to your Rights as Sentience, the combination of Essence and Personality, and these are always intact. We have gone rather long in our exploration of this topic, and we think that we could do well to follow up with more discussion in your Forum where this will be archived. As you explore the concept of these Rights over the next weeks, we can respond through Troy for further discussion about your questions and experiences. We must conclude here for today. It has been a long journey to Sentience, and these Rights are yours. They will be intact with or without your acknowledgment, but to acknowledge them, and occasionally manage your way back into that acknowledgment, can have profound effects upon your capacity to choose, and to be conscious.
  2. Next Wave Michael - Sept 19, 2015 - Your Center of Gravity Channel: Troy Tolley MEntity: Hello to each of you. We are here, now. We can begin. Today we will speak on a topic that is one of our early pieces of the teaching that made it through fairly concisely during the 20th Century CE. Despite this clarity, the details have become simplified in a way that left behind a great deal of the layers and details that help add dimension to this piece of the teaching. This is the information on the Centers or "brains" of the body. We have said this before, but will say it again here for review: though the correlations between Centers and Chakras are virtually inseparable, the concepts are different. In other words, though the Chakras and Centers can be spoken of in interchangeable ways, Chakras describe the stationary locations/portals of energy as they function relative to the body, while Centers expands upon these and are not stationary or are not necessarily local to the body. One of the reasons we use the term "Center" is that it is short for "Center of Gravity." Center of Gravity describes an average location of the "weight" of an object, by which that object can then be understood in terms of its motion through space and time, as well as an even deeper understanding through how that object is bound in rotation around that Center of Gravity. The "object" here is most often understood as the self, but can extend to refer to events, relationships, time periods, etc. There is a "natural" or starting point Center of Gravity for each "Center," but these change over the lifetime. For example, the Emotional Center of Gravity is in the Heart, or rests in the Heart Chakra. Your Moving Center of Gravity is in the Gut, or the Solar Plexus Chakra. Your Intellectual Center of Gravity is in the throat, the Vishuddhi, or the Throat Chakra. Your Instinctive Center rests at the base of the spine and throughout the spine, or the Root Chakra. This is where they begin, their natural resting point, and this is because your Centering DEVELOPS out of these points. You are born with Chakras. You are not born with Centering. Chakras are the electrical currents or connecting points through which the dimensions of Essence animate and live the life. The Personality, then, develops from those points the Centers of Gravity. To understand the depths of Centering, then, you would want to understand that your Centering describes the "brain" with which you use to process life, or the Center of Gravity around which you "rotate" within yourself, and the PART tends to describe that which you then "orbit" around. For example, an Emotionally-CENTERED person tends to rotate/process within the self in terms of how things, people, events, life moves them, inspires them, and bypasses their prejudices and logic to get to a place of direct perception. An Intellectually-CENTERED person tends to rotate/process within the self in terms of how things are expressed, make sense, are logical, formed, and bring them insight. Now, look at these in terms of Center and PART. The Part tends to describe that which one likes to orbit around as input for the primary Center. But it also describes what one reflects back from the surface of one's self, if you will. So the Emotionally-CENTERED navigates and processes in terms of Inspiration, but its Intellectual PART means that this is both given back to the world in Expression and is taken in from the world of Expression. Think of your Primary Center as that which holds you together, and your Part as that which you tend to gravitate toward and around and reflect. Now, what tends to happen over the course of a lifetime is that your Primary Center of Gravity (and all of your Centers of Gravity) move out and away from the natural resting place in you, and you place these in other people, in events, in the past, in the future, in relationships, etc. So, rather than your Emotional Center being within you in a way that allows you to process on your own terms, you may have placed your Center of Gravity in your Mother, in your mate, in your career, etc. This means that you then begin to look to that which you have placed your Center of Gravity for how to process and navigate. So while you may be Emotionally-Centered, your Center of Gravity for the Emotions is in the PAST, and everything is processed in terms of the gravity of the past. It could be said that there are 7 locations beyond the natural resting point, or the SELF, in which one places one's Center of Gravity: HEALTH or the Material World; CARETAKERS or The Past; LIFE, or the forces bigger than oneself; INDIVIDUALS, or intimacy and relationships; THE WORLD, or the faceless OTHERS; THE FUTURE, or Unknown; and SPIRIT, or non-specific dispersion. These are broad and overlapping categories, but can help our students to look at these areas where Centering may have a gravitational force. Keep in mind that even though you may be Emotionally-Centered, you may have several locations beyond you where there are Centers of Gravity for the Emotions. While it is not "bad" that one's Center of Gravity may beyond the self, it can be difficult for the older soul for this to be the case, because when one's Center of Gravity is in someone else, or in an event, etc., then SELF-AWARENESS IS LOST. For many, the Center of Gravity is a literal gravitational pull that draws one's attention on a regular basis. Does your Health take up a lot of your attention? Do Others take up a lot of your attention? Does your Relationship take up a lot of your attention? Do you find yourself stuck in The Past and comparing everything to that? Do you find yourself worried about The Future, or thinking that there are solutions found only in the Future? And so on. As you can see, none of these are probably unfamiliar to any of you because, regardless of your Centering, your Center of Gravity can be in many locations. To bring your Centers of Gravity back to the SELF is to bring your attention back to yourself. SELF-OBSERVATION is the only way. Self-Observation is Self-Awareness is the awareness of your part in the equation of all dynamics in your life. Self-Observation brings your attention BACK TO YOU, and therefore brings your Center of Gravity back to a resting place, to its origins. This is not to say that The World or your Health or your Past or The Future will no longer be relevant as factors, but that your emotions, thoughts, and actions will no longer be dictated by these. You will no longer rotate and process from within those external factors, but bring that rotation, that calm, that centering, that process back home to you. We know this may be a lot to consider, so we will now open the floor to questions. QUEUE IS NOW OPEN Yes, Maureen. Maureen: I can see I move towards INDIVIDUALS, with my Emotional Centering but interestingly as a Caretaker would. It does feel better when I get my power back. It's more restful. Maureen: I don't think that was a question. MEntity: Caring for others is not the same thing as putting one's Center of Gravity in Individuals. Caring feels good. Placing one's Center of Gravity in Individuals will often feel more like obligation, annoyance, dependency, etc., and one's Emotions (in this case) would be dictated by these Individuals. ClaireC: Michael, I am Emotionally-Centered, Intellectual Part. Although I am concerned about the Future, I feel the gravitational pull towards my heart most of the time. Would that constitute being self-aware according to your description, of bringing the rotation back home? MEntity: Claire, your question brings us to the next area we would have covered. It is important to differentiate between Self-absorbed and Self-aware. Self-aware is a sense of observation of how one is a part of the equation of dynamics in the life, whereas self-absorbed is cutting off of all sense of participation in the dynamics in the life, and a protection or defense of the self against those dynamics and equations. This comes when the Center of Gravity returns to the self, but is then protected or defended. We will leave to each of you to determine how self-aware or self-absorbed you may be, but the difference is usually in the sense of calm vs the sense of defense. To return to your question more specifically, we will say that if you feel that gravitational pull toward your heart, toward that resting place, but there is defense involved around your heart, then you may find that a return to self-awareness means allowing, inviting, and embracing one of those areas outside of the self that may have been the context for your hurt. If you find that the Center of Gravity in your heart brings a sense of calm, healing, and balance, then it is likely a state of Self-awareness. ClaireC: Thank you, that's helpful, Michael. MEntity: Your question prompts another piece of the puzzle, as well: Keep in mind that while each of you receive an indication for your Primary or habitual Centering, ALL Centers are active and working. So while you may be Emotionally-Centered, it may be that your Center of Gravity for the Emotions has returned to the heart, but your Intellectual Center of Gravity is in The Future. Just keep in mind the difference between that which dictates your processes (Center) vs that which your processes rotate around (Part). Diane_HB: So in the case above, the Future would dictate your thoughts but your feelings would be centered within the self? I'm not sure how this works. MEntity: Diane, it can go one of two ways: If there is Self-awareness, then the Emotions are processed on one's own terms, and this is then funneled into what one aims for in The Future. If there is Self-absorption, then the Emotions are still processed within the self, but in defense against and in reflection of the threat of The Future. To be clearer: reflected in what one THINKS and EXPRESSES into form about The Future. Does that make sense? Diane_HB: Yes, thank you Bobby: I'm Moving Center, Intellectual Part and looking at what you've described so far, I would guess that I tend to project my Primary Centering into relationships which would be toward the Intellectual Center? I'm guessing since I know the Mode deals with intimate relationships which falls on the Inspirational Axis. Does this sound like a fair assessment to you? MEntity: We will leave out the Mode for now as a means to help focus on this concept being discussed. Your Center of Gravity is certainly in Relationships. This means that your Actions, Feelings (how your body feels, processes, and moves energy), and your Effectiveness are often dictated by the states of your Relationships, and processed through those Relationships. This is then reflected back in your Expression (or lack of Expression), in your ideas, thoughts, and the form that your expressions take. In other words, in your case, your Moving Center of Gravity is dictated by and processed by your Relationships, and these revolve around the gravitational forces of you where your thoughts, ideas, reasoning, and insights take you, and are reflected in your thoughts, ideas, reasoning, understanding, and insights. If you were to move into Self-observation and awareness, you would bring the Center of Gravity home to you, and realize that how you feel, react, act, and your sense of effectiveness is less about how others understand you, how they express themselves, their ideas and thoughts, but about yours. Bobby: Ok MEntity: You are aware of this and we know that you can feel when your Center of Gravity comes home, and when it is left in Relationships. GeraldineB: I'm Emotionally Centered, Intellectual Part. I interpret Rotation to be regular and/or constant movement, especially as one ages and expands experiences. While I've had severe Health issues and focus during this past year, in many ways I've avoided making it my sole Center of Gravity. I've not felt emotionally “attached” to my health. I think I've approached it far more from an Intellectual perspective. Can you describe the process that I'm using? Or is my Center completely elsewhere? MEntity: One's Center of Gravity tends to be drawn to places outside of the self for three reasons: TO ADD to the self (learn, grow, evolve, experience), to DISTRACT from the self (defense, fear, blame, anger, etc) or to BALANCE the self (healing, comfort, acceptance, understanding, etc). It is not a "bad" thing for one's Center of Gravity to be placed beyond the self. The dynamics of living require great fluctuation of location for the various Centers of Gravity. However, as one grows older in Soul Age, it begins to be more and more important to learn how to bring those home to the self in a way that allows one to be a conscious and aware participant in the life, and not just a receptor that will review later. In your case, your Emotional Center of Gravity is in THE WORLD, in OTHERS. How "others" behave, and what is happening in The World, have great impact on your state and processes of Emotion, Inspiration, and Perception. Your health is demanding and a great focus in the life at this time, but it is not where your Center of Gravity is. Your Center of Gravity still remains in processes that are dictated by Others and The World around you. GeraldineB: I can validate this. MEntity: Your health, however, has been the catalyst for you to bring that Center of Gravity home, to yourself, and a great deal of calm and healing and stability has been generated by these lengthy returns of your Emotional Gravity to the self. You have fluctuated between the Self-aware and Self-absorbed, and you may likely know when each of these are in effect. GeraldineB: Since I know that it's possible to monitor, I will definitely be paying more attention. MEntity: Though "monitor" is not particularly charged, it can be more inviting to consider self-observation rather than monitoring, as observation is participatory, whereas monitoring may provoke a division within. GeraldineB: Well, and Observation is my Mode, too :) MEntity: We will take a final question from Diane. Diane_HB: Would having your self-worth be dictated by others' opinions about you be an example of having one's Emotional Center of Gravity in Relationships? Diane_HB: And if it's not as bad as before but still recurs, is that an example of the fluctuation of the Center? MEntity: It can be, yes. It can also be in the vague and faceless "OTHERS" that are The World. Yes, the fluctuation may be felt in terms of how calm and how well you process on your own terms, or how distracted you are so that your processes are dictated by the terms of a Relationship or Others. Diane_HB: Thank you. This is a lot to think about. MEntity: We understand. That is why we offered this up in the context of "next wave" as it must be built upon and expanded.   3. OMW - Aug 7, 2010 - Me and My Karma Troy Tolley, Channel (Note: At the end, the enthusiasm of asking more questions kept on. Troy is supposed to answer those questions. glb) [MEntity] The subject of Karma can be broken down into the two familiar categories of Karma: Self-Karma and Essence-Karma. Most of our students use the term "Karma" to mean that Karma generated between Essences, or Soul-Karma. But these are two distinct categories of Karma: Self-Karma and Soul-Karma, or Essence-Karma, if you prefer to keep with terminology familiar to our teaching. Karma, regardless of category, is a word that describes an imbalance generated from INTENSITY. The degree to which that Intensity is initially experienced is the degree to which that Karma is sub-categorized further within its own category: Major, Minor, and Sundry. This applies even to the category of Self-Karma. The difference between Self-Karma and Soul-Karma is that one is generated on a scale that is contained within the single lifetime and the current Personality, and the other is on a scale that transcends any particular lifetime or Personality. Self-Karma is generated within a lifetime, is contained within that lifetime, and is either resolved, or not, within that lifetime. Motion in this universe is a result of imbalance, so it could be said that Karma is one of the major evolutionary tools that is used by consciousness to grow and move forward. Aside from Essence Recognition, Karma is one of the only ways through which an Essence does evolve, hence its popularity and appeal, despite how messy or painful it can often be to the Personalities involved. Self-Karma is generated within oneself when one begins to generate issues, interpretations, and/or conflicts that divide oneself in a way that pits part of the self against another part. These Self-Karma may be generated from a burst of Intensity or from a build of Intensity, but it is the Intensity that generates the Karma. An extreme of polarities is what generates the Intensity. We know that most of you are familiar with much of the basics we will share here, but for a succinct delivery here, we will not presume to skip those basics. Soul-Karma is generated between one's Essence and another Essence when Intensity generates Imbalance between oneself and another. The key ingredient within all Karma is INTERFERENCE; more specifically, Interference of Choice. Self-Karma and Soul-Karma are not generated without some degree of Interference of Choice. This is obvious on the scale of Soul-Karma, but it is not as obvious on the scale of Self-Karma. On the scale of Self-Karma, those divisions within the self must be interfering with your own capacity to choose for it to be Self-Karma. And so it is that those three elements must be involved for true Karma to have been generated: INTENSITY, IMBALANCE, and INTERFERENCE. One can have an issue with body image, and not have Self-Karma if those three elements are not involved. One can murder another person and not generate Karma if those three elements are not involved. An example of the former might be one who does not enjoy being overweight, and so he keeps himself on a strict exercise routine. He still has body image "issues," but he is actively choosing how to deal with that. An example of the latter might be in the form of euthanasia wherein the very act of murder is embraced. We give those as obvious examples, but there are more complex examples that may not be as easy to understand. In the end, however awful or complicated an issue or event may be, it may or may not involve Karma. Karma is a very personal thing, if you will. [Geraldine] Are the tit-for-tat External Monads karmic? [MEntity] They may or may not be. They are often excellent contexts for Karma, so most often they are Karmic in generation or resolution, but that is not necessary. When one generates Soul-Karma, we describe the record of that imbalance between two Essences as a "Ribbon." We use that term because it almost-literally describes what remains between two Essences when Karma is generated. From an Astral and Causal perspective, one can see literal ribbons stretching among fragments still entangled in Karma. Since there is no physicality as you experience it, those Ribbons do not get snared or entangled with other ribbons, but remain stretched only between those who have generated them. They are more like frequencies than anything, and lock onto each involved. These are "connected" between the Instinctive Centers, or the Root Chakra. At the end of each lifetime, the Instinctive Center is the only Center that remains, with all other data from the other Centers burned to that disc, and this is "pulled" from the body much like a disc from a computer, and carried forth to be used for review, and in the next lifetime. When that disc is "plugged into" a new life, it does not inherently demand that the new Personality burn the Ribbons that have carried over. And this is very important to understand if one is to understand the nature of Choice and Free Will. One is NEVER affected by Past Lives, and one is NEVER obligated to burn Ribbons generated by a previous Personality. Instead, the current Personality will develop its own interests and directions and choices, and those will act as a kind of play of notes within the lifetime that then may resonate with a past life, and resonate with relevant Karmic Ribbons. [Bobby] sure seems like a lot of chance at play there [AnnH] Do we need to burn our ribbons, however, to cycle off the physical--move beyond the 7th Old and reunite with our Entity? That's been my understanding. [MEntity] So the Past is never imposed upon the Present, but the Present pulls in from the past what is relevant. This same equation applies from within a single lifetime. Your childhood never truly imposes itself upon your adulthood, but your adulthood may draw from childhood what is relevant for the present. To address Bobby and AnnH: Therein lies the art of creating a Personality. Essence learns over time how to create a Personality that is more inclined toward certain themes and interests, and while chance may still be involved, it does help the odds of at least one version (parallel) choosing to be open to the past and Ribbons. The 6th Level of every Soul Age inherently finds interest in the past and begins opening to Karmic Ribbons and the search for balance. As many Ribbons as possible are burned during each 6th Level, but not all get burned and then carry forth into the next Soul Age. ALL Major and Minor Karma will be burned before cycling off from the Physical Plane. By the time one is 7th Level Old, not only has most Karma already been addressed, but what might remain is mostly conceptual or emotional and can be done in dream state. Karmic Ribbons are also burned by generating very appealing pay offs for getting involved. [Bobby] I knew it... bribes! :-) [MEntity] For instance, Sex Karma is a very common, beloved, dramatic lure into burning a Ribbon. This is when one "falls in love" only to find that the one with whom one has had this lovely bonding suddenly springs a Ribbon up for burning. Karmic Ribbons, once brought up, are extremely compelling, much like being on the down-side of a hill on ice. [Brian_W] well, that explains most of the male gender [AnnH] Not just men, Brian. I've been on that slippery slope :) [MEntity] It is difficult to break the momentum once one has begun burning a Ribbon. Once the Ribbon is burned in Sex Karma, the partner suddenly seems like a stranger and one can hardly remember why one would ever be attracted to that person. [AnnH] What is Sex Karma, actually? [MEntity] As mentioned before, there are levels of Karma within Karma, so that there are Physical, Emotional, Intellectual, and Spiritual Karma. These are defined by technicalities, but they are often involving more than one of those areas. For instance, an Intellectual Karma may be when one has been tricked into thinking an investment is brilliant. Technically, this is a Conceptual Karma (Intellectual), but one can see that this will also affect one Emotionally and Physically. But for purposes of simplicity in burning Ribbons, the default context will always go to that technicality. Ann: Within those Karmic Contexts, there are lures that are set up for Personalities to find appealling in pulling up and addressing Karmic Ribbons. One of those lures is Sex. We refer to that as Sex Karma. There are a multitude of lures used. Money Karma, Sex Karma, Love Karma, Affection Karma, Acceptance Karma, Specialness Karma, Talent Karma, Power Karma. Depending on the Soul Age and the Personality, certain lures are planted and appealing over others. Despite our calling them 'lures,' it is important to point out that however compelling a Ribbon may be, one may reject the burning of that Ribbon, so one still has Choice. [Brian_W] But wasn't it just stated that it was much more difficult to stop the burning of a Ribbon once it has started? [MEntity] Much more difficult is not the same thing as lacking choice. [AnnH] Is it more difficult for the one who owes the karma to stop the burning than the one who is owed? [MEntity] It must be a mutual exchange. There are many times when one has set up for the burning of a ribbon "owed" to someone, and that person is not interested in taking that on. Balancing a Karma is just as disruptive as creating one. Or we should say, CAN BE. Continuing: Major Karma is that Karma which affects all levels of one's Being: Physical, Emotional, Intellectual, and Spiritual. Minor Karma is that which affects from one to three levels. Sundry Karma is the only Karma that does not actually qualify as Karma, but is included because it is treated the same when it is involved. Sundry Karma never interferes with Choice, but interferes with intentions. It is still an Intensity and Imbalance and Interference, and so is treated as Karma. [Brian_W] would Sundry be considered "those mild annoyances of life?" [MEntity] For instance, you are excited about your wedding and have hired a hairdresser who chops off your bangs and burns your scalp just before the wedding. This is a survivable event on all levels, but certain throws a wrench into the life in a way that generates Imbalance, Intensity, and Interference. Sundry Karma is the only Karma that is not compelling to balance. You may never get to burn off the hair of that hairdresser in another life. Sundry Karma is also often balanced WITHIN the current lifetime and does not carry over. So that the Wedding Fiasco is balanced by a lawsuit or non-payment, etc. All Karma is Imbalance, so all Burning of Ribbons is Balance. To burn a ribbon, or to resolve Self-Karma, the process is always Tri-fold. NEGATIVE-POSITIVE-NEUTRAL, or POSITIVE-NEGATIVE-NEUTRAL. Always resolving in Neutrality. Most "negative" Karma, or those Karma that do not feel so great, are generated from Positive-Negative direction, and received from the Negative-Positive direction. For instance: the one who murders is coming from the Positive-Negative angle, while the one who is murdered receives from the Negative-Positive angle. To bring balance, those polarities must be reversed between the two. [Maureen] In the initial murder - what's the positive and what's the negative? [MEntity] Murderer=Positive since this is the person who activated/created the Karma. Positive in this case is used as the active force, whereas Negative is the receptive. [Maureen] polarities [MEntity] We are not using the terms as describing "good or bad." For most "positive" Karma, or that Karma which feels good, the reverse is true: it is initiated from Negative-Positive, and received as Positive-Negative. This is because most "positive" Karma, such as Philanthropic Karma, is an act of GIVING, not TAKING, and the recipient is Expanded by the experience, rather than Contracted. However, it is still Karmic because it is still Intensity, Imbalance, and Interference. Consider a fragment who is poor who has decided to live a life inspired by his experiences as a resource for his art. Upon having his first attempts at art discovered, a philanthropic gentleman funds the artist entirely, removing all obstacles and challenges that had initially inspired the artist. The artist is certainly not harmed, but does experience his loss of inspiration and artistic motivation, and while his life is for the better on many levels, he still experiences Intensity, Imbalance, and Interference because now he has a new life that was not anticipated or chosen. This same reversal of Polarities for balancing is important for understanding how to resolve Self-Karma, too. And it is also important to understand that Self-Karma also has such instances of "negative" or "positive" Karma, in that some feel good and others do not. "Negative" Self-Karma is obvious as body type issues, habits, addictions, etc. [Private] The artist though, in this instance, is not a victim. He did have a choice, did he not? And he chose to be helped. Maybe I'm just mincing words here. [MEntity] "Positive" Self-Karma can show up as winning the Lottery, having a completely fulfilling intimate relationship, and even having a beautiful day. In response to Private, it is true that he would have had to have chosen to receive the money, but that does not mean he could have anticipated the effects of that, much in the same way that one may "choose" to invest money in a false promise, only to find total loss. [Private] Thanks for the clarification, it was a little cryptic for me initially. [MEntity] The idea of money being a solution for so many problems is very enticing for many in your culture, so to have a windfall of sorts can often throw the life into a spin that could never have been anticipated, and does not solve any of the problems that exist beyond the paying of bills, or the having of certain things. [Private] Right on. [MEntity] In the same way that many have thought that suicide ends emotional despair, only to discover that those emotions are carried over even into the afterlife, so do many who think that money can solve the problems of life find that only new problems arise and old problems fester, even as the bills are now paid. Now, to lead into more personal territory, we will point out that despite the balancing of Karma, either Self- or Soul-, there tend to be patterns for each fragment. Infant Souls generate mostly Spiritual Karma, Baby Souls generate mostly Intellectual Karma, Young Souls generate the most Physical Karma, while Mature Souls generate mostly Emotional Karma. Old Souls tend to move from the emphasis on Soul-Karma toward Self-Karma. Those are patterns, but they are not rules. Across those Patterns, there can tend to be the patterns of Karma specific to a Fragment. [AnnH] I think money is physical. I'm betting Young (Maddoff). [MEntity] Yes, this was technically a Physical Karma in that case, though, of course, it touched on all levels, and is therefore a Major Karma. Each of you have found certain patterns across your incarnations as "fascinating" patterns for exploration in Karma. [Brian_W] I'm curious what those are, even if "I" as a personality didn't create them. [MEntity] For instance, even though one may learn as an Infant Soul what the effects of murder are, and the subsequent balancing of that, one might then murder again as Baby, Young, Mature, so as to experience it from all Soul Ages. As an Old Soul, those patterns can often turn into Self-Karmic explorations. We will share our perspective of each of your patterns as we can see on record for your past incarnations. ANN appears to have a large pattern that revisited the Karma generated from PILLAGING. BOBBY appears to have a large pattern that revisited the Karma generated from WRONGFUL IMPRISONMENT. BRIAN has a larger pattern that revisited the Karma generated from RAPE. Private has a larger pattern that revisited the Karma generated from POISONING. GERALDINE has a larger pattern that revisited the Karma generated from MIND FUCK. MARTHA has a larger pattern that revisited the Karma generated from ABDUCTION, or Kidnapping. MAUREEN has a larger pattern that revisited the Karma generated from LYING. Each of those patterns are not limited to your initial ideas prompted by the term. [AnnH] I get it, if you look at it differently than just physical pillaging. [Brian_W] uh, can't get too more specific with mine. [Geraldine] actually, it can be mental and physical, Brian. [Geraldine] it's taking something with force. [MEntity] None of these terms are specific other than their larger context that includes all versions of that word. [Bobby] If I'm understanding this, these are things we have done or have had done to us? [Geraldine] and I can see why you'd have a Life Task of "intimacy" -- rape is the antithesis of intimacy. [AnnH] wow, yes. [Geraldine] well, both, Bobby -- a pattern would imply payback, too. [MEntity] For instance, POISONING may be literally poisoning another into death, but we include the times when anything physical, emotional, intellectual, or spiritual was sneaked into another without their consent in a way that caused harm. [Private] that happened this lifetime, did it not emotionally, with my mother's actions? [MEntity] Keep in mind that if we are accurate in our assessment, one should be able to see these patterns reflected in your Self-Karma, in some form. [AnnH] I'm having trouble seeing it in my case. I have a feeling, but I'm not quite sure how it works with Self Karma. [Geraldine] sort of bending over backwards to NOT do it? [Bobby] your accuracy is also validated from the humor we find in it/ourselves. [MEntity] Ann, yours may show up in issues that revolve around what is rightfully yours vs what you think/feel is rightfully yours. Be it positions of recognition, fulfilling relationships, material well-being, etc. [Maureen] I think Geraldine hit on something - I have had the urge and did so all my life - to be so honest it hurt me many times. [AnnH] Ok. Now it just went from funny to painful. [MEntity] Geraldine, yes, often that is the case in these larger patterns: one is either extremely repulsed by association with it, and/or extremely fascinated by it. For instance, Troy's larger pattern is TORTURE. He is actively fighting against all forms of harm against innocent animals and people, yet his favorite genre of film is Horror. Maureen, we would agree with your assessment. Keep in mind that these patterns are not generated because of some kind of morbid interest, but because the exploration adds to the eventual resolve of those experiences for others, as well. [AnnH] I can see this with my creative work, in terms of Self-Karma. [Private] Could you elucidate more about my pattern of poisoning? This life it certainly showed up emotionally by my mother's treatment of me, did it not? And subsequently, the Self-karmic issues with my Realist Attitude. [Brian_W] so how does one work through it, knowing that we get extremely repulsed and / or fascinated by it? [Brian_W] as for me, as soon as I saw it come across my screen, its like the laughter and everything else died inside - rather suddenly too I might add. [MEntity] For instance, the pattern of RAPE is explored by Brian as a contribution to the learning in this universe about the range between literal Rape, all the way to the gentle comprehension and consideration of boundaries that may exist, even if one does not think they should. [Geraldine] but, I think, truly, that your Life Task of intimacy is tied to this pattern -- it's how you perceive being able to be "other." [Bobby] As for me, I'm like, if it balances it out, bring it on baby, bring it on! [Maureen] You Warriors and your challenges! [AnnH] Man, I can feel the domino effect of this all the way through this life. [Bobby] Now, I want to schedule another private with a list of names :-) [MEntity] In response to Brian: to the extent that one is still personally offended by the term we chose may be the extent to which one is in the middle of resolving issues related to that term. The extent to which one could laugh is also an indication as to how far one may have come in resolving, though still recognizing, the experiences related to the term. [Geraldine] I can feel the attraction/repulsion -- being able to perceive others' mindfucks -- absolutely no desire to do one of my own -- other than "maybe" as pranksterisms [Brian_W] Oh I absolutely understood why I was offended by it, it's still the easiest way to make me want to hit the "abort" button and run. [Maureen] Lying and Deception are still a Hot Button for me (well maybe used to be - could be old emotions!) [Geraldine] also, Brian, in our culture, it's considered far more heinous in many ways -- you're conditioned to be more reactive. [MEntity] (BRIAN) To resolve the issues related to the term we chose would mean simply continuing to do what you are doing. There are no shortcuts. In your case, in this current lifetime, it appears to us that the key would be in losing any sense of offense when boundaries are clarified for you. If boundaries are not easy for you to discern on your own, then it is important to receive feedback from others when that is offered, and that has to be seen as a resource of information, not as a source of offense. In response to Private: your interpretation of the term Poisoning appears to be fair, and your resolution would come from the fact that you are aware of the "poisoning." The key to the Poisoning as a pattern of Karma is that it was often injected without the awareness of the one who was poisoned (literally or figuratively). In your case, you are aware of the poisoning and have the opportunity to generate, find, or create an antidote. [Private] As you know, I'm working on it really hard. [AnnH] Somehow I feel like "pillaging" is what happened in some way to my work as a writer. It feels like anything I do is going to be taken and decimated. [MEntity] Private, that is all that one can do, actually. To continue to work through it. [Bobby] and in my case? :-) [MEntity] There are no shortcuts. [Bobby] how does one balance false-imprisonment except to be falsely imprisoned? [MEntity] To Bobby: your pattern may show up in issues around feeling trapped, isolated, or stuck in a position that is beyond your capacity to free yourself. Your resolution would come through the realization of CHOICE, and the responsibilities that the word implies. [Bobby] I completely understand that, thanks! [MEntity] The range that we include under "False Imprisonment" is between the obvious, literal wrongful imprisonment, to the act of blaming others for effects that were not of their cause. [Geraldine] After Martha's followup -- I'd like to know the difference between Mindfuck and lying -- or is it more of a power and control use? [MEntity] We will quickly leave each of you with our assessment of where you are in terms of your resolving your outstanding Karma in both Self- and Soul- levels. [Bobby] I sometimes feels I am enduring an at home imprisonment due to my lack of options... it makes sense. Before that, we will respond to the two remaining questions: In response to Martha: We use the term ABDUCTION to include the range between obvious stealing of another human being against his or her will, all the way to seduction and infidelity. This may show up in the current life as issues related to the latter, in terms of how much power Martha may feel she has in context of winning others over, even in specific cases related to seduction and being seductive, attractive, alluring, etc. In response to Geraldine: Mind Fuck is rooted Spiritually, whereas Lying is Intellectual. Mind Fuck is about convincing another to completely betray himself, whereas Lying is about betraying another. PERSONAL ASSESSMENTS: keep in mind that these are not competitive numbers, but relative numbers, and the higher the number is no indication of "better" or "worse." Keep in mind that one may have resolved 99% of his Self-Karma, yet still be consumed by that 1%. ANN has burned 79% of any Major or Minor Karma for this lifetime, and has resolved approximately 82% of her Self-Karma. BOBBY has burned 98% of his Major and Minor Karma for this lifetime, and has resolved approximately 65% of his Self-Karma. Brian has burned 60% of his Major and Minor Karma for this lifetime and has resolved approximately 80% of his Self-Karma. Private has resolved 77% of her Major and Minor Karma for this lifetime and has resolved 40% of her Self-Karma. Geraldine has resolved 100% of her Major and Minor Karma for this lifetime, and has resolved approximately 79% of her Self-Karma. Martha has resolved 89% of her Major and Minor Karma for this lifetime, and has resolved 90% of her Self-Karma. Namely, Jerg Jergensen and his friend? Also, Prasanna's household with Beni and Mary? [Geraldine] especially since so many are taught first in their learning curve that karma is "punishment" [Geraldine] I've also seen some good stuff that karma is still a "you create your own reality" construct, too [AnnH] Do these percentages relate to what Soul-Karma we thought we'd take on this lifetime? [Brian_W] true, I'm still curious what the Philanthropic Karma has been that I've generated over the centuries. [Geraldine] yes, Ann -- Michael prefaced it that way. [AnnH] That's an interesting one, Brian. [Brian_W] might be a good way to counter-balance the thoughts of "bad horrible mean karma." Comment from Troy on August 28, 2015: MIKE S WROTE: I can't quite reconcile these two statements. 1: 'Much of what happens after birth is out of the hands of Essence, so to speak, and a matter of choice, decisions, or lack thereof relative to the Personality.' 2: 'One is NEVER affected by Past Lives, and one is NEVER obligated to burn Ribbons generated by a previous Personality.' TROY REPLIES: Actually, these statements dovetail completely. Try this: 1) after you are born, choice is handed over to Personality. 2) Personality can choose to pick up the ribbons of previous Personality choices/karma, but that's optional, even if compelling. The key here is that Karma and themes/threads are compelling. It is all very enticing. So even though "you" are never obligated to pick up the thread of themes or the ribbons of Karma started by another Personality, those themes and ribbons and the payoff of completing or balancing these is oh so enticing. In very simplistic terms, imagine that one Personality-A walks into a room and bumps a picture hanging on the wall so that it now hangs crooked. Personality-A leaves the room. Now Personality-B walks in and that picture on the wall is crooked, and sure, you can ignore it, but ohhhh mannn, it's so crooked! So you reach out and balance it. Okay, so that's not as complicated as messy Karma, but you get the idea. As for how infant and toddler lifetimes work with Karma, Michael has said this: How do we handle Karma that is created as children? What happens when children are harmed or killed? MICHAEL: Karma is always optional for a Personality, regardless of age. If intensity and interference of choice is registered, Karma is generated. It will not matter if the Personality is fully present, or not. Essence tracks Karma. Personalities do not. Personalities help to generate Karma, forgive Karma, balance Karma, but they do not track Karma. If a child is murdered, the Personality may not have been awake enough to register the event as Karma, but Essence is fully aware, and this interference and intensity is immediately assessed. If a child is abused, tortured, or harmed in a way that interferes with Choice, Essence manages this. This is true of adults, as well, who are not with full cognitive capacity, or mentally unstable. The Personalities are a great part of the dynamic, but Essence has the clearest picture and does the tracking. This is true between Essences, as well. It is a given that any imbalance, intensity, and interference of choice generated in a life is part of what Essences must negotiate and consider across lifetimes. Karma is between Essences, not Personalities, and this is why any lifetime can bring the balance. While it is true that Karma is between Essences, the Personalities that generate Karma are directly involved in the balancing, either through a direct and intimate link to the current Personality doing the balancing, or through Astral replication of that balance. In other words, no Personality can walk away from its Karma. The intensity must be experienced from "both sides" for the Personality to burn that Ribbon. In lifetimes through the Young Soul Age, this balance most often comes in terms of "eye for an eye," but as the Essences mature, the interference of choice is not balanced by a reverse scenario of interference of choice, but is balanced through the return of choice. If one was murdered, then the balance is not found by murdering. Instead, the older souls will set up a scenario where the life is saved, and choices are expanded because of that saving of life. An abuse of a child in a previous life might be balanced by an adoption that provides profound nurturing. And so on. I hope this helps.
