  1. This material originated with the March 2010 Michael Speaks. Special thanks to BrianW for posting his copy of the session or the content would have been lost. Although this session suggests that the missing content will be added, this has not yet been done. The roles covered in this session are those that were represented by session attendees. MEntity: Hello to all of you. We are here. We will begin with a discussion on the topic requested. Before doing so, we would like to point out that while it may seem to be the case, it is actually impossible to misrepresent, misunderstand, or misapply our teaching. When we say "impossible," we speak in relative terms that describe the fact of so many nuances and dynamics that go into representation, understanding, and applying our teaching. Our teaching cannot be misrepresented because it is either represented, or it is not. Beyond that, it cannot be misrepresented because if the student is not discerning and questioning beyond the representation, then he or she is not learning anyway. Our teaching cannot be misunderstood because this implies that there is a standard method and means for understanding. The only time this teaching is "misunderstood" is if one standard is held up against another. You will understand this teaching as you understand it. However, we will add to that statement that your understanding is never complete, and to presume that it is would be the end of learning. Our teaching cannot be misapplied, as again, this would imply a neat standard that describes how it "should" be applied. Even when our teaching is used as a platform for justifying behaviors, or to seek a sense of specialness, it is being applied on your terms, and those are the only terms we encourage. However, we would add to that statement that your terms are never fully understood, and to presume that your terms are static is to halt growth. When we say "halt growth" and "the end of learning," we mean these as temporary conditions of the Personality, and not permanent on any meaningful level for Essence. Though Troy's introduction was not intended to provoke this clarification from us, we do think it important to distinguish our channels' opinions from our own. That being said, there is validity to the fact that there is little recorded from us through our channels about the distinctions among the Roles in how they manifest through the Soul Ages, and we can address that today. We must point out, though, that anything we describe about any aspect of our teaching will, by necessity, be "generalized," as there is simply no way to describe ALL Old Sages, for instance. Numerous factors go into the manifestation of a Personality and Essence within a lifetime. Our Teachings can best be understood in both CONTEXTUAL and HOLISTIC terms. Contextual in that each phrase, term, or polarity is distinct within a specific context, and that context is an entity in itself, so to speak. Holistic in that this is a system that works dynamically, "organically," and when understood as a system, comes to life in a way that cannot be fully understood in its parts. For instance, if one were to be described or dismissed as being only a Kidney, it would not capture the full humanity of that individual, but to understand the functioning and purpose of the Kidney is vital on its own. Furthermore, lacking comprehension of the full humanity of that individual leaves one lacking understanding in how that particular Kidney actually functions for that particular person. We say all of this to you before delving into the topic at hand because what we will describe today, for the most part, is CONTEXTUAL. Within the time limits, we will cover Mature and Old Soul contexts for each Role, but will complete the subject with Troy so that Infant, Baby, and Young are included in exploring each Role. Each of the Roles through the Soul Ages could best be understood as manifesting more and more Essence through the Personalities that are created. Essence Manifestation can and does happen within all Soul Ages, but the degrees to which that manifestation occurs does grow. What we will describe today are what those degrees might look like for the Mature and Old Roles, in both positive and negative ways. Keep in mind that regardless of your technical Soul Age, you may be manifesting younger Soul Ages at various points within the life, or for the entire lifetime. For the most part, manifestation of various soul ages is proportional to the various contexts of your life, so that if you work within a Young Soul environment, you may call upon the Young Soul aspects of your Essence, and in Intimate circles, you may call on more of your actual Soul Age. "Manifesting Soul Age" is not static, and is not a description of limitations. It is simply a description of emphasis and resource for the lifetime, a relationship, a career, project, etc. What we describe today is a Role manifesting its actual Soul Age. Because of Personality, this may show up wildly different among that Roles "in the world," so what we describe may only be obvious to you privately. The progression through the Soul Ages for the Roles could be described as a progression of emphasis from DOING to HAVING to BEING. Infant and Baby emphasize DOING. Young emphasizes HAVING. Mature emphasizes the reconciliation between HAVING and BEING. And Old emphasizes BEING. Understanding this can help lend insights into the various Soul Ages and how the Roles manifest. Now we will walk through the Roles as they might be understood in Mature and Old Soul contexts. MATURE SERVERS Mature Servers tend to find themselves struggling with the reconciliation of Having Recognition, and Being Helpful. Over the course of the Young Soul Age, it finally occurs to the Server on a profound level that it is okay to be recognized, praised, rewarded, and that a reciprocating circuit of energy is vital to sustaining Service. Service is not a one-way circuit. One cannot serve where it is not received, and one cannot continue to serve without some form of exchange of nurturing at the very least. For many lifetimes previous to the Young Soul Age, this nurturing is either neglected until it cannot be any longer, or it is found in breaks between Serving. The Young Server then tends to use that entire Age to "catch up" on self-service to the extent that it can. In the Mature Age, then, the reconciliation begins between having that necessity of exchange in nurturing, and the core Being that seeks to serve in meaningful ways. Mature Servers, then, tend to be extremely busy, pulled in many directions, internally and externally, while they struggle with issues of utter availability and ineffective over-extension. The eventual reconciliation comes when the Mature Server only offers service when it can. OLD SERVERS The Old Server now emphasizes Being, and in this case, Being Helpful. At the very core of the Server is the design to HELP. (An aside: At first, all design in the early Soul Ages is manifested as compulsion as the default design is relied upon, but eventually becomes impulsion as the capacity for conscious choice grows.) Old Servers often do not "serve" at all in the capacity that one would think of as serving. The Mature Soul is ACTIVE. The Old Soul is PASSIVE. In this case, the Old Server "passively" Helps. The Old Server then begins to use exemplification as his or her means of offering Help. The entire life, self, and Being become the manifestation of Essence in that the Old Server WILL NOT allow himself or herself to suffer. If help can be gained from that by another, then the Old Server may extend upon that, but it has learned that suffering is a useless experience and will refuse to Help at the expense of self, but will unconditionally Help those who are willing to give up suffering. That may sound conditional, but it is not. It is simply a hard lesson learned that those who suffer most often choose not to be helped in any meaningful way. We define "suffer" here as that state of intellectual and emotional overwroughtness that leaves no room for solutions. Those who suffer in that way eventually learn that they are the only ones who can transform that experience, and all other influences are merely salves or addictions. The Old Server does not cater to that endless dynamic. MATURE ARTISANS The Mature Artisan has just come from an Age where it experienced being able to create and have everything it could possibly imagine within the constraints of resources at the time. The Mature Artisan now enters into an Age that must reconcile Having What It Wants and Being Who It Needs. Previous to this Soul Age, simply wanting something was often enough to have it, because it could either be created, or it could be discovered, and most of what was wanted was tangible and all "new" to the Artisan. In the Mature Soul Age, nothing tangible is "new" anymore, and what is most wanted is often intangible. This causes a struggle for the Mature Artisan so that cravings can often show up as a distraction with "things" as a means to compensate for the intangible, or as rejection of "things" as a means to hold out for the intangible. Mature Artisans can often find themselves in desperate relationships, devastating patterns of collapse and destruction, and manipulative methods for finding ways to be special. More than any other Role, this Role, in general, struggles with the inner battle between Specialness and Uniqueness. What the Mature Artisans eventually realize is that it is THEY whom they crave, desire, and want more than anything "in the world." Therein lies the reconciliation between Having and Being for the Mature Artisan. Artisans tend to develop patterns that leave them functioning only as conduits, often feeling as if "they" are left out, or left behind. During the Mature Soul Age, it is the first time in a long time that they "come home to themselves." And recognize their vital part in the equation of their desires and wants. Until that realization has been comprehended, there will be many instances where the Mature Artisan develops symbiotic relationships that continue to enforce the loss, or blurring, of self with environment or another. OLD ARTISANS The Old Artisan is often no longer concerned with creating tangible things, but struggles to make the entire life the creation, the work of art. Everything around the Old Artisan becomes symbolic and every symbol has meaning in relation to the self. The Old Artisan, then, is often tireless in the effort to showcase the life, the Personality, and even the relationships as symbolic extensions of the Soul. They become extremely sensitive to any deviation or distraction from their own symbology, and can often find themselves bewildered, hurting, and profoundly confused by these things. They develop systems of symbology that work, but often do not realize that these are not always the same symbols or meanings that others will tend to use. Eventually the Old Artisan realizes that there are a multitude of symbols and meanings for symbols that cannot be truly standardized, and this is when the Artisan is finally free. In conclusion for the Old Artisan, if the freedom is not found through the realization of various symbolic systems, then that Artisan may find he or she begins to tunnel-vision into a closed network that only supports his or her system of symbols, and anything beyond that is either a threat, or is ignored. Due to time constraints, we will do our best to streamline the details for each of the following Roles, and Troy will "flesh it out" for the final transcript. We will address Old Warrior, Old Scholar, Old Sage, and Old Priest now. We will include the rest in the final transcript. OLD WARRIORS The Old Warrior has now moved through the Mature Age that helped to reconcile the struggle between HAVING AMBITION and BEING SAFE. During the Mature Age, both of those terms become profoundly redefined so that "ambition" becomes "enthusiasm" and "safe" becomes "loved." The Old Warrior then begins to naturally generate enthusiasm over emphasis on accomplishment and ambition, and begins to persuade circles of love from the self and from others as opposed to circles of protection and safety. Protection is no longer seen in terms of defense against physical threats, but as a transformation of strengths through the capacity to love. This may go counter to what is often understood as a Warrior, but the Old Warrior is done fighting, and seeks to share what it has found to be the most bountiful resource and strength in the universe: Love. Of course, this can show up in many different ways and to several different degrees, but when the Old Warrior is manifested, it has a profound sense of safety in the world and seeks to extend that validity to others. If the Old Warrior has not comprehended that sense of safety, he or she will often show up as emphasizing warnings, concerns, preemptive strategies, and constant over-anticipation. OLD SCHOLARS The Old Scholar has now moved through the Mature Age that helped to reconcile the struggle between HAVING EXPERIENCE and BEING INTIMATE. During the Mature Age, the reconciliation between Experience and Intimacy is a long, often painful, road for the Scholar. Much of what is considered necessary by the Scholar for Experience is to have as "clean" an experience as possible, which often means leaving others out of the inner world that processes these experiences. QUESTION: Could you define intimacy in the sense of your meaning? MEntity: Intimacy here is meant as any form of Resonance, from sharing common ground to sex. The key being that it is INCLUSIVE, in that what is shared is not only mutual, but experienced as mutual. More than any other Role, the Scholar struggles with issues of Intimacy, of feeling connected to others, of finding common ground, and of feeling embraced. The Old Scholar has realized that Experience and Intimacy are not mutually exclusive, but Intimacy has been put off for so long for the sake of experiments, exploration, etc., that the world of Intimacy as an Old Soul is entirely new for the most part. Because the nature of the Scholar is to observe objectively, then this search for Intimacy may often be approached from the angle of provision, in that IF it exists, then it must be something provided for the Scholar, and not something he or she must work to generate from the self. Intimacy is such an amorphous concept to the Scholar that in the Old Soul Age, it will either feign intimacy as a means to have any kind of human contact at all, often leaving it to others to sort out the details, or to nurture that intimacy, or it will finally realize that he or she IS the source of intimacy, and begin to develop this from "the inside, out." The issue for the Scholar is often that if it is not found externally, then it is not a valid Experience, and therefore is not to be trusted. Ironically, anything that is already deemed as so amorphous that it cannot be trusted when generated within will also be deemed suspicious when generated from others. Therefore, the key for the Old Scholar in his or her embrace of Being Intimate is to begin comprehending TRUST. Trust is a mix of anticipated results and past experiences. It is not blind, and therefore it can be used by the Scholar. When the Old Scholar begins to recognize his or her embrace of himself, he or she can then begin to embrace others. If the embrace of others is attempted before the embrace of self, then there will always be an equation that returns the Scholar back to the beginning. They are highly mathematical that way. Trust comes in as the gathering of experience grows to show the Scholar that he or she will not die because he or she reached out, and that one is not alone just because one might actually like oneself. In short, the validity of Being for the Scholar cannot be proven through others, but the validity of others can be proven through the embrace of Being. OLD SAGES The Old Sage has now moved through the Mature Age that helped to reconcile the struggle between HAVING FUN and BEING HONEST. Now the Old Sage begins to emphasize Being Honest, even if it means at the expense of Fun. Old Sages often begin to withdraw from the "stage" and move into tighter circles that value honesty and true communication. It is no longer appealing in any way to simply perform the life. For the first time, the Old Sage values the importance of truly being SEEN. Even if there are a myriad of personas from habit and skill, the emphasis will still be there underlying every relationship and every opportunity: PLEASE SEE ME. This starts out as a kind of panic for some Sages entering the Old Soul Age, in that their existence depends on the utter honesty and rawness of being SEEN, and this can show up in desperate attempts to be understood, clarifying themselves, over-explaining, etc. This eventually levels out to a simple state of invitation. The emphasis moves from needing to be seen exactly how the Sage sees himself or herself to an emphasis on understanding how others actually see. This comprehension frees the Old Sage from the panic and loneliness of not being seen, and moves him or her into simply BEING HONEST. Once the Sage realizes that he or she cannot control how others interpret others, then Being Honest stands as an invitation, not as a prompt. QUESTION: How much of this "role in essence" material applies to casting? MEntity: All of what we have described can be extrapolated to apply to understanding Casting and Imprinting, in terms of Roles. INTERJECTION: I've never thought of Imprinting being a co-equal on use of role descriptors MEntity: For many who live as the Role that most influenced them, it can be helpful for freeing the self by transforming the dynamic that keeps the imprinting locked in place. Imprinting will always supercede Role and Casting, as Personality has the most control and influence while Physical. We should say, Imprinting will always supercede Role, Casting, and Overleaves. INTERJECTION: So, that's why it's especially important to figure out one's parents' profiles :) MEntity: Not necessarily. What would be more important is honest self-examination to determine just how conflicted one is within himself or herself. When Imprinting is useful, there is no conflict. When Imprinting is harmful, there is often pain ranging from apathy to tremendous turmoil. Harmful Imprinting ALWAYS shows up as the reprimanding voice that undermines your efforts. ALWAYS. Harmful Imprinting ALWAYS shows up as any conclusive voice within that divides you and defeats you. Your inherent nature, when free from harmful Imprinting, is truthful, loving, and energetic. When weighed with harmful Imprinting, you become divided with a dishonest, shameful, and undermining force against that inherent nature. However, it must be understood that Imprinting is NEVER PERMANENT and can be shed at any moment. If one struggles for any length of time with that Imprinting that is harmful, then some part of the self finds some value in it. We define "harmful Imprinting" as any Imprinting that has been kept beyond the 3rd Internal Monad that does not serve the Personality and Essence in any helpful way. QUESTION: why and how is it that a personality tends to manifest more essence as it progresses through the soul ages? QUESTION: still don't understand this... QUESTION is personality designed that way by essence? MEntity: The progression of Soul Ages is our way of describing a regaining of consciousness that allows for bridging between the Essence and Personality. That regaining of consciousness is done through experience. Therefore, in early lifetimes that have less experience, then it goes that less consciousness is involved, and thus less manifestation of Essence. Even the Oldest of Souls must regain consciousness within a single lifetime, yet that regaining of consciousness is accelerated because of the sheer weight of experience previous to that lifetime. It is not that manifestation of Essence does not happen within earlier lifetimes, but that the manifestation is specific to the degree of consciousness, relative to the degree of experience. So an Infant Soul can manifest Essence fully into the lifetime, but most of that manifestation would still be within the contexts (or degrees) of Survival. When an Old Soul is born into a body, that infant body is going to drool and wail and poop itself as it focuses on surviving. To that degree, that Personality's consciousness can manifest Essence. As that body grows, so does its capacity for consciousness. In that same way, the ROLE grows for ESSENCE. The Role and Essence are two different things. Therefore, the "body" that is the Role must grow over lifetimes as a means to manifest more of its Essence.

    SCHOLARS - Loving and Being Loved

    [Excerpt from: OMW: Loving and Being Loved] MEntity: Before we go into the dynamics of the Personality and how Loving and Being Loved works within each Lifetime, we will point out the general themes for each Role and how that pursuit of Loving and Being Loved shows up over lifetimes. Every Role has its blind spot to love, and when that blind spot finds light, that Role usually experiences a profound exposure to Love. ... The SCHOLAR, more than any other Role, tends to require you to LOVE THEM ANYWAY, as a means to bring light to their blind spot. Scholars, of all Roles, have the hardest time understanding and experiencing Love, and therefore can be quite obtuse to these matters. Your Love must "make sense" to them before they can experience it, and no matter what you do, say, or are can alter the process of the Scholar needing to find the equation that fits to make that sense. The more data you can provide, the better, which means this Role more than most needs to be pushed into Love, led with a strong hand and heart. SCHOLAR - needs to be Pushed to Love - defaulting to Appreciative Love The Scholar's needs are extensions of Stubbornness, and this means in terms of Love that there is resistance to new input, new data, new meanings, etc. The Scholar, then, needs EXPERIENCE/Experiments to Love.

    Scholars as Akashic Record Keepers

    This material is excerpted from an Essence Report created on September 2, 2010. MEntity: Scholars within any Entity or Cadre tend to act as record keepers and act as the responsible party for updating the Akashic Records involving events within and throughout the Entity and/or Cadre. Each individual fragment is in charge of doing this updating for itself, either during the life, or during the review of the life, but part of that updating is through delegation to trusted Scholars within the Entity or Cadre. ... Because Scholars are fairly good at storing information for great lengths of time, it can become a habit of Scholars to overextend themselves in ways that are rarely understood by the Personality who is the Scholar. This over-extension simply begins to feel like it is just a haunting, vague problem with the self that is either something to learn to live with, or something that needs fixing, when in reality it is literally a simple matter of hygiene. Every fragment needs to purge its energy on occasion as a means to help clarify exactly where one is within the life, within a relationship, within a journey, and then begin to collect new experiences within that updated framework. However, the Scholar would do well to do this at least once a week, or once a month at minimum. This purging is done easily through several methods: either submersion in water, such as a pool, bath, or shower, along with a conscious sense of releasing the energy that is “sticking” to the body; or through visualization that is releasing any sense of energy that is clinging to the body, finalizing with an imagined mesh cloak of gold to help reduce the clutter in the body and cells; or through exposure to high winds so that the energy is almost literally cleansed from the body by that physical sensation. If this were done on a more regular basis, the Scholars would find a new freedom that is rare to experience within a lifetime because of the presumption of weight to carry the experiences of others and the self for far longer than is necessary. ### End of excerpt Note: You may discuss this content in the original post. Laughing is result of the reconciliation of paradoxes, and paradoxes are part of the pain of a Scholar. The Scholar, more than any other Role, is more likely than any other Role to remain Emotionally isolated, generating the most elaborate of walls around his or her Personality. This Emotional isolation becomes an art and the ends to which the walls are justified by a Scholar are incredible. In many cases, the Scholar is literally clueless to the extent his walls isolate him. The effect this tends to have is a stagnancy of energy, for lack of a better phrase; the Emotional body grows “stale,” “moldy.” Laughter, then, is an immediate rush of fresh energy into the system of a Scholar, infusing for a moment the Emotional cells, so to speak. The walls that isolate the Scholar are in place because the Scholar cannot reconcile some things that require an Emotional element; therefore it becomes a paradox to the Scholar and he must isolate until it is “figured out.” Until he realizes that not all things can be “figured out,” but that they can sometimes require absurd hilarity as a means to bring resolution, he is locked in a cycle of theories. For the Scholar to identify several constant, reliable sources of laughter can literally save his or her life, or at the very least, alter the flow of energy to the point of bringing peace and resolution and health to a number of areas. How absurd for us to suggest for those Scholars battling cancer to “laugh it off,” but that is precisely our point. It is not a magickal solution, but it is one through which a Scholar can then find the means to more effective solutions, if needed.

    Scholars: Knowledge vs. Theory

    [Extracted from Energy Report: January 2015 ] MEntity: ... With the Scholar energy coming in, a kind of detached, cool-headedness might be involved around all of this and throughout the year. Even as there may be startling realizations or events, the Scholar year tends to help minimize the drama. In the Positive Pole, KNOWLEDGE, our students will likely pull from experience as a means of keeping perspective, gaining insight, and exploring options, while if in the Negative Pole, THEORY, our students may decide what is true without having any basis of experience for this conclusion, making decisions and taking actions based from lack of experience. The latter is how one learns to make decisions based on experience, so it is not a “bad thing” to be in Theory and to take risks that then gain one experience that can be turned into Knowledge. However, sometimes the decisions and choices are to take no risk, take no action, and to remain locked in familiarity, which is one of the slowest forms of “death” for a Scholar. By “death” we mean that the life force slowly drains from them in ways that become reflected as a lack of enthusiasm, a lack of curiosity, a lack of effort, a lack of interest, a lack of openness and inquisitiveness. These Scholars “know what they know” and that is determined to be enough, even if it is painfully outdated knowledge. And so the year of the Scholar can be explored in such a way, as well, locked in familiarity, lack of enthusiasm and curiosity, distanced from the very life force that fuels you.

When looking at any given period of time in terms of overleaves or patterns, one must always consider that, no matter how tightly the view, or how broad the range, those overleaves or patterns are a part of vast cycles and cannot truly be isolated. But for simplicity, we can look at a given year of time and its patterns, both in advance and in review, to help bring insight to the more immediate state of collective consciousness. Time has vast cycles that cannot truly be segregated, but this is also true of Essence in existence. The current overleaves of you are but description of a cycle of time as Essence, and that cycle of time cannot truly be separated out from any other cycle. But the fact that time cycles cannot be truly separated has no bearing on the fact that those cycles are made of cycles are made of cycles, etc. Decades are made of years are made of months are made of days are made of hours are made of minutes are made of seconds, etc. Those PARTS may add up to greater cycles, but those parts matter. Those PARTS ARE the cycles. Just like your cells ARE your body. The body would not exist without the cells, and your days, your months, your years, are cells in the bodies of time, if you will. 2014 was a particularly challenging year for many of our students and beyond our students. Priest years can tend to be that way. Everything that was or is taken for granted as a pattern, or that has been in momentum for a great period of time while in need of redirection or change, will come to the surface for awareness, redirection, change, or put in more relevant Priest terms: for orientation. In many ways, the Priest years emphasize this alteration of patterns in the most spiritual sense possible. No matter how physical, the patterns brought up are relevant to spirit. When this is done through Compassion, the year has great breakthroughs in patterns that had been blocked. Even if there is resistance or complaint, the changes are toward inclusion and built from empathy. When this is done through Zeal, the year will tend to have waves of mass deaths, illnesses, outbreaks, slaughters, and destruction of any efforts that encourage or support progress and change. This could be said of any year, but in Priest years, these events tend to stand out more. In fact, it is often not a matter of unique events happening relative to what Role the year is, but that the Role helps point out what is catching the attention of fragments at the time. In another year, the very same things that might move you in one will not phase you in another. Knowing the Overleaves for a year may not reveal to you the events of that year, but they can reveal the collective responses and meaning of events of that year. In general, events over 2014 for our students brought a lot of pain for our students. If not directly, then because of the empathy inherent in the Soul Age. Sometimes it may seem a bit "too much," and that the world is disintegrating. But what we see are growing pains, not disintegration. Much like the destructive teen who must outgrow his or her hormonal wash before thinking clearly, so does the world move through its tantrums and stomping and fighting before owning a position of maturity. The Ebola outbreak is yet another example of how the world is smaller and smaller in terms of shared space and connectivity, and this is often not as clearly exemplified than through the potential spread of deadly illnesses. This was not generated as a "lesson," but is another event that took on spiritual significance to many as it brought home the validity of mortality and potential collapse of civilization due to a single event. It has been quite some time since a "reset" of civilization, so when there are legitimate examples of possible scenarios, this plays on the deepest core of Humans' Instinctive Center because it is known that a "reset" is possible and potentially long-overdue. Isolating a part of the world, ignoring it, and presuming one is safe within the bounds of an invisible line of territory is still strong in the psyche of Humans when responding to threats such as this, but these events help to remind individuals that what is taken for granted is precarious. Like illness, the spread of ISIS is another example of the world growing smaller in terms of shared space and spirit. No longer is there a fringe group that can be kept at bay and monitored, but an ideology can spread like a virus, like Ebola, to infect in greater numbers locally, but also "jump" to weaker psyches across borders to act of their own volition, fueled by the ideology. The Internet acts as a kind of neural pathway among Humans, and it can strengthen healthy pathways or strengthen unhealthy pathways. What you "put out there" matters. This is not to say that one should only post sweet nothings, platitudes, doe-eyed kittens or "grumpy cats," but that what you "put out there" matters. This matters, not so much because of what is received or how it is received, but in how these reinforce and reflect your own neural pathways. What you "put out there" reinforces and reflects your pathways. YOUR pathways. Note how often it matters more to you to share what you wish to reinforce than it is for you to consider a challenge to that reinforcement. We point this out because it is relevant to how a year is shaped by the individual. It is not just true via the Internet, but in general. Unless you are directly touched by the major events of a year, they are concepts. You will use them to reinforce and reflect your spirit, your neural pathways, or they will challenge you. "The news," no matter how accurate or inaccurate, is fodder for reinforcing and reflecting or challenging. But we digress. We digress for the sake of pointing out that it is not just ideologies or viruses that can represent the shrinking of a planet and the threats of precariousness to civilization, but how one responds to these events in the world can be revealing in where you are in your own and your collective evolution. In terms of an Intellectual year, it matters what you THINK and EXPRESS about these things in terms of adding to the collective momentum. Because this is where you embrace or reject your part in humanity. The horrors of the world are yours. The beauty of the world is yours. The Nigerian School girls abduction, the disappearance of the Malaysian flight, the expansion of ISIS, the persistence of Ebola, the breakthroughs in US/Cuban relations, the rapid shift in marriage equality and immigration rights, as well as the Israeli conflicts with Hamas and the South Korean Ferry sinking, etc. these reflect the ZEAL or the COMPASSION that this year asked of you, if you will. These events are not happening outside of your reality. They are in your reality. If you were exposed in any way to any "news" that is happening in the world, then it was for you. However distant and conceptual the event, you would have either used it to reinforce, reflect, or challenge your ZEAL or your COMPASSION. We feel that understanding this is far more useful than dissecting these events into terminology. The more something mattered to you, the more it ties into this reflection, reinforcement, or challenge to "the priest in you." One of the reasons Sentience is slow to mature and can take 6 million years is because there is only a short range, acute circles of reflection, reinforcement and challenge to one's spirit. Once there are breakthroughs, either telepathically or technologically, allowing for access to a stream of world events that would otherwise never touch you, leaps in evolution begin. This is a fraction of a fraction of a taste of how the integration process of an Entity works on the Astral. You cannot "turn it off" there. Learning how to manage your intake of world events and your response to these is practice for how you will contribute to the exchanges to come among your Entity. Look back over the events of the year, both in terms of world events and personal events, and see which direction you went in terms of choosing ZEAL over COMPASSION/EMPATHY. Choosing Zeal would mean that you felt your spirit, ideologies, expression, and beliefs were threatened and you may have bristled up in defense with hostility or anger. Choosing Compassion would mean that when you felt your spirit, ideologies, expression, and beliefs were threatened, you remained comfortable in your center and responded as best you could with patience, information, invitation, and empathy. We suspect many of you fell into Zeal and felt quite "riled up" at points over 2014. If that is the case, it is not a failure. It is information about where you are in your evolution, and that means that you found where you remain in need of healing. For many of our students, looking into the blind spots of the life was far more important than reinforcing that which was already secure. As 2015 comes in the week ahead, many of our students will likely begin to feel the shift into the Higher Moving Centered energy that will weave through 2015. In a higher centered year, the default will often rest in the lower center, but will rise into the higher quite often. Though the calming effects of the Scholar will likely be felt alongside the Higher Moving, it is the Higher Moving that will settle in, first. If you feel the latter, it is likely a direct result of not having had many patterns in place that were your own, or that were under your control, so this "stirring up" is a "good thing." For those of you who may launch into blissful optimism, it is likely because you are coming upon the horizon line and finally being able to see a bigger picture again. It is not a sign that your work is done, but that you have some breathing room. We will open the floor now for a few questions. We can take about 3 questions. QUEUE IS NOW OPEN (3 questions) GeraldineB: During this past summer, we had a major convergence of two parallels. What are some specifics we might look for on how the integration is proceeding in both 2014 and 2015? Since there would be personal, community, and global truths emerging out of this – please look at global truths or integration indicators. Will it be part of the “bliss vs depression” scenario? MEntity: The major convergence that you speak of brought with it major polarization between "progress/inclusion" vs "entrenching/exclusion." This polarity is part of the "heart" of the continued shift toward true integration of Mature Soul ideals. If there is no entrenching and exclusion, those who are younger than Mature can "lose themselves." There are far more loving ways that this can play out, but it is playing out fearfully. For instance, there is no threat to any of the younger ideals by allowing progress. The ideals of the younger would continue to work well within their circles of experience. It is only because "the world is smaller" that many of these younger groups are lashing out as a means to sustain definition of themselves by imposing this on "the world." The bliss vs depression is more indicative of one's own integration and resolution between the divided parts within. The bliss comes from the willingness to embrace the struggles of that integration. The depression comes from the distraction of it existing in the first place. In general, the collective truths that must be accepted is that the world includes ALL of you, not some of you. ViP: Hi Michael, I would have expected Fukushima to be one of those global scale events that would have come into focus in 2014, but it didn't, compared to the others that you listed. Is that because Fukushima and its fallout are not as much of a problem as it previously seemed, or it just hasn't become obvious enough yet and hence missed the spotlight in 2014? MEntity: Fukushima's emphasis is likely to come to full scale awareness of any greater impact over 2015, in the Higher Moving-Centered year. In the Intellectually-Centered year, the emphasis tended more toward ideologies, expression, mystery, etc. over environment. In Higher Moving Centered years, "the Earth" and environment tend to come far more acutely into focus. Much has been done to deflect concerns, but 2015 will likely help to point out that there is no way to hide these concerns any further. Kurtis: I was wondering if you could give us a baseline of how the Scholar might operate in its poles (Knowledge and Theory) for this year. Like a "system" of sorts to gauge our progress? MEntity: A Scholar year tends to have a high emphasis on EXPERIENCE as the medium for collective evolution. This means that events tend not to seem so distant and conceptual, but often "hit home" in both figurative and literal terms. In Scholar years, it is difficult to hide from experiences, but for those who try, it will likely be behind a wall of Theory. A Scholar in Knowledge uses the past as a means to understand and expand into the present and future. A Scholar in Theory uses the past as a way to escape or deflect the present and the future. So if one finds he or she is deflecting, ignoring, resisting experiential navigation of the year, resorting to only what is already known, familiar, and presumed true, then one is likely in Theory. If one embraces experience, takes on new challenges, and allows room for risk, he or she is likely trusting in past experiences as a way to help navigate new experiences. SCHOLARS - Knowing/Experiencing (diving in), Neutrality, Sharing, Efficiency, Independence, Information, and being living examples of Everything. Keep in mind that these Core Values will be upheld in some way, even if they are upheld in desperate and unhealthy ways.     What Scholars WANT and NEED

    [Extracted from: NYC Michael Speaks: Wants & Needs of Essence Roles] MEntity: We understand that Troy has asked for us to discuss what we might describe as the WANT and the NEED of each Essence Role, so we’ve looked at this in a way that we hope will be easy to validate for each of you and your Roles. ... we will move on to the final role of SCHOLAR: What Scholars are motivated by on a conscious level in terms of WANTS for the lifetime we might describe as PROJECTS. Scholars want projects. They want to be working on something. They want to be studying something. They want to be calculating something. They want to be crafting something. It depends often on their casting in this case as to what that project would be. It could be helping someone. Or it could be any number of things, but they want projects. This is what motivates them often. Underlying everything else is that sense of creating or participating in or contributing to a project. Now again, in terms of the Scholar, this definition of what project will mean may vary. But we would think that, if one is truly a Scholar, it would be difficult to find a Scholar who has not in some way thought of “what is my next project?” or “who is my next project?” or “how is my next project?” Their NEED, however … again we have two words that might work here … but their NEEDS, what they are subconsciously motivated by and will find ways to fulfill it would be REST or SURRENDER. Scholars need more True Rest than most other roles, or often need to recognize the value of surrender more than other roles. Now, surrender is a word that often gets confused with resignation, and we will clarify here that surrender is the conscious acknowledgement of forces that are not particularly in your immediate control. So there is a sense of allowance for those things that are going to happen whether you are contributing, participating, or able to control them at all. So Scholars have to learn to surrender, and they need that. They will find that they navigate into positions where they have to surrender to forces greater than themselves. This is also how that rest comes about, because when the Scholar surrenders, they can “sigh” a sense of relief and truly become more centered again, centered back into themselves, into a more assimilative position in the life, rather than constantly distracted by the navigation of it. Do we have Scholars that would like to comment or validate or question? [Question] Yeah, it sounds like you are pointing to Scholars having some control issues. The question would be maybe how to differentiate between when to let go and allow for and when to know when you're more needed to step in. And this could be a reflection of my Server Casting as well. I have some trouble differentiating between the two, but I recognize the need to allow for things to just take place. MEntity: In terms of just the Scholar — we'll address the Server aspect in a moment — in terms of when to know when to surrender and when to rest versus when to step in is when you know that you will not be able to control it. This may require you to step in maybe once or twice to try, but more often than not, it's quite clear when you can and cannot control a situation. When you recognize “I cannot control this,” that is when you can step back and rest, because it is not in your hands. This does not mean that you do not have to contribute, or in any way participate, and what we'll do is we'll use a more simplistic scenario that you can then apply to more personal scenarios. If it is going to storm outside, you cannot change that it is going to storm. It is going to rain, it is going to have wind, and you cannot change that. You cannot change that, but what you can do is decide how to navigate that, and that would mean either choosing to stay inside — let the storm happen and stay inside — or be prepared with your raincoat and rain boots and your umbrella and go outside and know that you are still probably going to get wet and that you cannot necessarily control to the degree that you might get wet. Do you understand? [Comment] Yes MEntity: So it is the same in your personal life. There may be a storm brewing around you, and there may be a storm happening. So acknowledging that you cannot change that storm, but you can change how you navigate that storm makes a very big difference for the Scholar. It allows them to get their sense of power back, their sense of capacity to make sense of a situation back, because that is one of the things that Scholars have the greatest distraction with is trying to make sense of things, and it can drive them crazy if it seems senseless or there is a lack of capacity to assimilate the scenario. So knowing where the line is to draw between what you can control and when it is time to simply navigate what you can't control will help to bring that sense of rest back, that sense of centered state back. Do you understand? [Comment] Yes [Question] For a Scholar, you said True Rest earlier, so is it individual to each scholar, obviously, what their True Rest is, so that's what has to come into play or is it really, literally rest? MEntity: We meant it in a broader term. Your Life Task and the Pillars that support your life task — with one of them being True Rest and all the different examples that might fulfill True Rest — could come into play. But we meant the term, or the phrase, in the way that that category is defined in the first place. True Rest means that you feel inspired again, that you are truly replenished, that you come back feeling motivated and enthusiastic from the experience. [Question] So Scholar hygiene I've read, like taking baths and laughter, would that fall into the category of rest? MEntity: It most certainly will help the Scholar, yes. That is the case when it comes to your generalities, you can go take your bath and you can pursue moments of laughter and have a good time. But what matters here, in the context of this topic today, is when you are in a situation you cannot control and you find yourself struggling. You won't probably be able to run off to a bathtub or necessarily laugh in those circumstances, though you would want to resort to your capacity to discern how much control you have and then how to navigate within that. [Comment] So detachment would come into play, in terms of stepping back and letting things happen as they may. MEntity: That is a word that you could use, yes. We will say more that discernment would be more specifically applicable here, because that is what happens for the Scholars. The detachment will help, but the discernment — that being able to define and differentiate between what I can control and what I cannot — is what's important. If that requires detachment, then that will be of help for you. But the key is that discernment … and then, of course, integrating that into yourself so that when that scenario comes around again, you know that “I don't have control over this. I can only navigate this, and here's how I choose to navigate it.”

First, we will define “INPUT” as a channel or frequency through which an Essence becomes aware, processes, and comprehends. ... 3 of the Roles in Essence have ONE INPUT; these are the Scholar, Warrior, and King Essences. ... The strange distribution of Inputs has to do with the Roles themselves acting as “sensory units,” so to speak, for Tao. Because the Physical Plane is of the most unique and densest of all Planes, three Roles in Essence are distributed with ONE INPUT so as to gain awareness, Process, and Comprehend FROM BEGINNING TO END in a linear fashion inherent to the Physical Plane. ... The Scholars (who are the memory cells of Tao in many ways) have ONE INPUT so as to maintain a direct link to the Akashic Records/Plane. Because Scholars are specifically designed as ambient, experiential “sponges”, this ONE INPUT allows them to act as excellent, direct, recording devices and conduits between the Physical Plane and the Akashic Plane. Although all fragments update their own records (usually having to be done between lives or through conscious awareness), Scholars do so for themselves, their Entity, and/or Cadre. Because Scholars, Warriors, and Kings are by nature inclined to focus on very specific themes for study, conquest, or mastery (respectively), having One Input allows them to excel in the Task at Hand (by standards of Essence.) With this understanding, it would not be amiss to say that ALL FRAGMENTS have at least One Input focused on NOW, or in other words, capable of being focused on the present, the task at hand, the moment, etc. The following information was appended to the original Michael Speaks transcript from which this material was extracted: MEntity: In general, Kings, Warriors, and Scholars, can "only" process one theme at a time, whether the Personality is submerged in several experiential themes or not. If needed, the focus of the Input can change for some lengths of time, but these Roles will not find the comfort and adaptability to be submerged in several themes at once. We are not speaking of their being capable of watching TV while sewing. We are speaking of actual life themes as they apply to Essence's digestion of them. Scholars, Warriors, and Kings move steadily and enduringly through their experiences until comprehension is attained. We say "comprehension" as it applies to ESSENCE, not necessarily Personality. Until the Older Soul Ages, Personality is not so concerned with comprehension simultaneously to Essence's comprehension. Question: This is a generic Michael question beyond just Inputs, but I'm wondering how Scholars keep "records" differently from other Roles. MEntity: Scholars not only manage their own Records, but as each Essence updates its own records within the Entity and Cadre, the Scholars update the Akashic Records. In other words, each Essence has its own "personal library", but the Scholar extends on that to make that information "universal". Keeping that information as up-to-date, so to speak, as possible allows many versions of consciousness and sentience to draw from it. This is the stuff of new universes. Scholars have One Input as having One Input increases the durability to indulge in specific experiences, rather than touching briefly on a theme, and then moving to new ones, then returning later with new awareness. Scholars complete their themes so as to have a "purer" experience.

    Old Scholars

    [Excerpted from Michael Speaks: The Roles for Mature and Old Souls] MEntity: ... there is little recorded from us through our channels about the distinctions among the Roles in how they manifest through the Soul Ages, and we can address that today. ... The progression through the Soul Ages for the Roles could be described as a progression of emphasis from DOING to HAVING to BEING. Infant and Baby emphasize DOING. Young emphasizes HAVING. Mature emphasizes the reconciliation between HAVING and BEING. And Old emphasizes BEING. Understanding this can help lend insights into the various Soul Ages and how the Roles manifest. ... OLD SCHOLARS The Old Scholar has now moved through the Mature Age that helped to reconcile the struggle between HAVING EXPERIENCE and BEING INTIMATE. During the Mature Age, the reconciliation between Experience and Intimacy is a long, often painful, road for the Scholar. Much of what is considered necessary by the Scholar for Experience is to have as "clean" an experience as possible, which often means leaving others out of the inner world that processes these experiences. QUESTION: Could you define intimacy in the sense of your meaning? MEntity: Intimacy here is meant as any form of Resonance, from sharing common ground to sex. The key being that it is INCLUSIVE, in that what is shared is not only mutual, but experienced as mutual. More than any other Role, the Scholar struggles with issues of Intimacy, of feeling connected to others, of finding common ground, and of feeling embraced. The Old Scholar has realized that Experience and Intimacy are not mutually exclusive, but Intimacy has been put off for so long for the sake of experiments, exploration, etc., that the world of Intimacy as an Old Soul is entirely new for the most part. Because the nature of the Scholar is to observe objectively, then this search for Intimacy may often be approached from the angle of provision, in that IF it exists, then it must be something provided for the Scholar, and not something he or she must work to generate from the self. Intimacy is such an amorphous concept to the Scholar that in the Old Soul Age, it will either feign intimacy as a means to have any kind of human contact at all, often leaving it to others to sort out the details, or to nurture that intimacy, or it will finally realize that he or she IS the source of intimacy, and begin to develop this from "the inside, out." The issue for the Scholar is often that if it is not found externally, then it is not a valid Experience, and therefore is not to be trusted. Ironically, anything that is already deemed as so amorphous that it cannot be trusted when generated within will also be deemed suspicious when generated from others. Therefore, the key for the Old Scholar in his or her embrace of Being Intimate is to begin comprehending TRUST. Trust is a mix of anticipated results and past experiences. It is not blind, and therefore it can be used by the Scholar. When the Old Scholar begins to recognize his or her embrace of himself, he or she can then begin to embrace others. If the embrace of others is attempted before the embrace of self, then there will always be an equation that returns the Scholar back to the beginning. They are highly mathematical that way. Trust comes in as the gathering of experience grows to show the Scholar that he or she will not die because he or she reached out, and that one is not alone just because one might actually like oneself. In short, the validity of Being for the Scholar cannot be proven through others, but the validity of others can be proven through the embrace of Being.

    Scholar: Power of Information

    [Excerpted from OMW: Manifesting Power] MEntity: We will discuss the concept of Power with you today. First, we will clarify what is meant by Power in our teaching, which we think is a meaning that extends to include most uses of the word. In our teaching, Power is an Expression Axis term. This is because Power can come from any number of sources and be implemented through any number of methods, but it requires Form, Expression, for it to be in existence. All terms on the Expression Axis require a move into Form for existence. The terms we choose for our Overleaf system are part of every individual life in some way, even as each Personality is a particular combination of emphasized terms. For example, one grows in a lifetime even if one does not have a Goal of Growth. Each fragment will have to contend with his or her relationship to Power, even if the Mode is not Power. Power is a spectrum that describes one's presence. The form of any kind of Power can range from between violent oppression that destroys to a quiet lucidity that awakens. Each Essence comes with a kind of built-in source of Power. How that comes into form is up to that fragment, and we have seen that every fragment will explore the entire range from violence to lucidity. Each Essence Role has a specific source or style of Power. We will share these with you, now. Keep in mind that Power is either GENERATED or EXTRACTED. There are other terms that could be used to describe these, but these terms will do. Power either comes from within, or without. Power that comes from within is regenerative and unlimited. Power that comes from without is dependent and limited. Keep this in mind as we describe the various Power of each Role. ... SCHOLARS SCHOLARS carry with them the Power of INFORMATION. The Power of Information is the means of providing missing, valuable, and important facts. When this Power is dependent and extracted, it can show up as TRIVIA. This is the expounding of facts without context, value, importance, or meaning. When Power shows up like this for the Scholar, it can trivialize their power, prompting them to expound even further as an effort to amplify that power as it weakens. It can also show up as trivializing others in their sharing of facts and information. When this Power is from within and regenerative, it shows up as TIMING. This is the Power of Information as "perfect" timing. It is the availability of information and facts as they are needed, wanted, and in context. When facts are expounded upon without timing, it is trivia.

    Scholars: Living as Essence

    [Excerpted from Michael Speaks: Living as Essence.] MEntity: Today we will speak to you about "living as Essence," or "manifesting Essence," which essentially translates into living from the Positive Poles of your Overleaves. What we will share today is relative to the Essence Roles, so your particular dynamic of Overleaves is not relevant to how one's Essence Manifests, as there are consistencies to the core qualities of each Role. However, because of your own Overleaves' dynamics, you may find variations on what we share. ... If one thinks of each life being a story, then what we can do to help each of you understand how you live as Essence is to put this in light of the story of your life. ... For the SCHOLAR, the question would be: IS THIS THE STORY I WANTED TO KNOW? or, put another way, "AM I LEARNING FROM THIS STORY?" The questions are not "what do I know from this story?" or "what can I learn from this story?" but more pointed at choice in the phrasing of "IS THIS THE STORY I WANTED TO KNOW" and "AM I LEARNING FROM THIS STORY." The difference here is that the Scholar can feel obligated to learn from everything, to extract wisdom from every experience, and this can sometimes spread them so thinly in terms of quality of experience that they fall into Theory and never really KNOW much, or at least, not much in terms of what they wanted to know. There is such a disconnect between the knowledge and the experience that the Scholar merely becomes a barrage of tales, information, empty words to fill the space, but very little in terms of depth and passionate knowing. So for the Scholar who seeks to live as Essence, it can be revitalizing to ask, "IS THIS THE STORY I WANT TO KNOW?" and "AM I LEARNING FROM THIS STORY?" To ask these questions bring active participation in the quest for knowledge, rather than simply gathering it because it is there.

So if one finds he or she is deflecting, ignoring, resisting experiential navigation of the [Scholar] year, resorting to only what is already known, familiar, and presumed true, then one is likely in Theory. If one embraces experience, takes on new challenges, and allows room for risk, he or she is likely trusting in past experiences as a way to help navigate new experiences.

[upstaate] I am asking for a Mini Energy Report for this month. [Michael_Entity] November marks the middle of the cycle emphasizing the processing of this year’s Chief Features of Self-deprecation and Arrogance on a collective level. This means that you have entered the psychological season, so to speak, which will allow the processing of the fears that are collectively generated in response to “inadequacies” and “vulnerabilities.” In most cases, this season of processing the collective fears is not done intimately, but played out in politics or larger-scale events. In this season, the emphasis on inadequacies and vulnerabilities has been glaringly evident in American politics. Even the concept of “Democracy” is being scrutinized to the point of revealing the absurdity of its lack of true implementation and weak points. There is a “quiet storm” brewing in the American (north) politics and November appears to be a pivotal month in defining how that will play out publicly. We are not speaking ominously, but simply stating the obvious: revelations are on the horizon and they will occur with grace or they will occur with tragedy, but probabilities show that they WILL occur; more specifically, a “domino-effect” of infrastructure collapse in what you call your current government (in the United States). When we state that that this “will” happen, we realize this word implies solid prediction, but we say that word in response to a 97% probability. In other words, the momentum is in place, regardless of how drastic a change might be made at this point, and is headed toward a “wall.” It is highly likely this momentum will hit that wall. At this time, we simply do not see your current President of the United States completing his term. We can also state this with some amount of unusual certainty because of the anticipation of those in the Astral; “all eyes” are focused for “the show.” To summarize the “mini-report,” then, in terms of world events: it appears most of you will find some kind of impact at some point as a result of the inadequacies and vulnerabilities being revealed within the current government of the United States. The pivotal period of time appears to be during this month, November, but the public results may not be obvious until later. On a more personal note, you may find yourselves walking through a period of time now wherein the flaws of OTHERS seem to be taking their toll on you. Distractions with the failures of OTHERS may be used to your advantage as a means to avoid your own flaws and vulnerabilities. This year's passage through the season of Chief Features appears to have a stronger emphasis than usual. A great many things have happened in the world over your year that have left the public angry and in want of finding someone to blame. Some years move through the Chief Feature season with ease and other years are buried in its emphasis. This year's months of October, November, and December may find each of you with at least one major challenge involving how to maneuver through the effects on you because of another person's choices or actions. It is a powerful opportunity to explore your own Overleaves, how you respond to the flaws and choices of others as they impact you, and doing this from the angle of the positive poles and make a shift in the dynamic that would normally leave you trapped. Regardless of your own Chief Features, there will still be an emphasis around you in relation to the year's chief features of Self-deprecation and Arrogance. The end of your year is always a passage through the evaluation of what you accomplished in the time that has passed since beginning of the “new year.” Therefore, November usually marks the painful passage of time wherein COMPARISONS begin to be your means of assessing your days. We suggest keeping check on your own Chief Features as you begin to find yourselves comparing. Comparing is a valid process of evaluation, but many of you use it against yourselves or against others. Reminding yourselves that it is a TOOL for use, not for abuse, will help in the month ahead. [Annsge] Deciding whether to follow up Lori's question….What are the probabilities of a complete change in government? What will this change expose? [Annsge] In US gov't? [Michael_Entity] The probabilities of a complete change are nearly inevitable, though most likely not fully implemented before another approximate 50 years. However, the current administration is precariously built in a way that as one member is: pulled into scrutiny, the entanglement from that person reveals other flaws, creating a near-cascade effect in revelation. The long-term change will be based on the exposure of a corrupt government whose impact upon the public is far more insidious and oppressive than ever considered possible. This is not sinister, but merely a result of withholding and hoarding of resources that have always been available. Much of what are concerns in the American culture and society are concerns that are utterly reversible within a single year, if resources were freed. The short-term change for which we see November as being pivotal is simply the revelation about the incompetence, manipulation, and deceit that permeates the current administration. We have always seen this presidency as the pivotal presidency that has the potential to end an outdated system of government, voting process, and public assistance. [Tmk1802] Back to basics. Is Male/Female ratio constant or does it change from life to life? [Michael_Entity] It is a constant. What changes is the ways in which this is expressed and the ways in which it is eventually balanced. The higher ratio is a good indication of how your incarnational process began, as Male bodies are 100% Male Energy and Female bodies are 100% Female Energy; therefore, if your ratio is higher Female, it is fairly safe to say that you began your incarnations in the bodies most comfortable. As the Essence evolves, so does the want for balance, so choosing bodies to counter your higher ratio begins at some point. Eventually, bodies are no longer the only means to bring balance and expression, but Events, Relationships, and Experiences are utilized. [Tibtyk] Greetings, Michael. “Essence” is, to be honest, mainly a word for me. Possibly a feeling, too, but vaguely so, at least not on a conscious level. How can I prove its existence to myself? [Tibtyk] And how to make the contact between Essence and Personality stronger, more reliable and more intimate? And, of course, more conscious. [Michael_Entity] The most powerful “proof” you have of your Essence is in any mirror you pass. It is only a matter of perception as to where you see the line drawn between “you” and “essence.” In the same way that one could ask for proof of Love, only symptoms can be highlighted or emphasized, giving an indication that something valid, yet amorphous, is involved. The line between “you” and “essence” is an illusion, so to simply see yourself as alive, animated, choosing… this is the most tangible proof. However, there are experiments to which you can invite your essence to partake. Essence delights in the opportunity to exist alongside the Personalities it creates. We cannot emphasize that enough. Much like an awkward parent standing on the sidelines from a teen who thinks he is “all that,” when Personality turns to Essence and asks if it wants to join, it is immediately available and with tremendous amounts of energy, truth, and love. Adjust your inner and outer vision to a decisive stance that you are gently and enthusiastically open to Essence. Then determine what you would like to have as “proof.” It could be as simple as a synchronicity or as complicated as a change in your life. Ask Essence to bring itself to your awareness at 7:07 every day. And watch this happen. Ask Essence to bring itself to your awareness by helping infuse you with the energy and empowerment to alter your life to a point of absolute abundance on your terms. And watch what happens. In all cases of experimentation YOU will be key. You will not see the 7:07 unless you LOOK. You will not experience the abundance you seek unless you DO. And in the end, you will then find the greatest proof of Essence, is you. [llawryf121] I've posted more detail over on the forum, but basically — what does it mean to “awaken the lightbody”? [Michael_Entity] That would be a phrase that is not one we would use, with the definition being relative to those who would use it. We suggest seeking definition with that context. In many cases of its use, we see that it is a more glamourous phrase to describe a process of owning the energy that is yours and using it in a way that we would describe as Good Work. In our system, then, it could be likened to the True Personality. Or Manifesting Essence. The fusion of Personality and Essence into a cocreative process. We believe that may help find a bridge between the original context for that phrase and how it might be translated into our system. They are the language of glamour [kittlekats41] For those scholars among us, I would appreciate any advice on how to release physical energy and injuries ‘held’ in the body or to process them more effectively [Michael_Entity] Laughing is the most powerful agent of healing for a Scholar. Laughing is result of the reconciliation of paradoxes, and paradoxes are part of the pain of a Scholar. [Carrot Wax 1] k, now my question has changed to extend this question to Sages and other roles :-) [Michael_Entity] The Scholar, more than any other Role, is more likely than any other Role to remain Emotionally isolated, generating the most elaborate of walls around his or her Personality. This Emotional isolation becomes an art and the ends to which the walls are justified by a Scholar are incredible. In many cases, the Scholar is literally clueless to the extent his walls isolate him. The effect this tends to have is a stagnancy of energy, for lack of a better phrase; the Emotional body grows “stale,” “moldy.” Laughter, then, is an immediate rush of fresh energy into the system of a Scholar, infusing for a moment the Emotional cells, so to speak. The walls that isolate the Scholar are in place because the Scholar cannot reconcile some things that require an Emotional element; therefore it becomes a paradox to the Scholar and he must isolate until it is “figured out.” Until he realizes that not all things can be “figured out,” but that they can sometimes require absurd hilarity as a means to bring resolution, he is locked in a cycle of theories. For the Scholar to identify several constant, reliable sources of laughter can literally save his or her life, or at the very least, alter the flow of energy to the point of bringing peace and resolution and health to a number of areas. How absurd for us to suggest for those Scholars battling cancer to “laugh it off,” but that is precisely our point. It is not a magickal solution, but it is one through which a Scholar can then find the means to more effective solutions, if needed. We have already addressed this issue in a lengthy session in the past, offering insights for all Roles. We will include that in the transcript for this session. In that case, we believe we have addressed Matthew's question for elaboration, and will respond to Suz's question as the final question. Please elucidate on the type of channeling agreements you have with students, Michael? [Michael_Entity] We have three tiers of Agreements with fragments who work with us in the form of “Channeling.” “Primary Students” are those fragments with whom we share Agreements that extend across many lifetimes and, of course, from before birth for this current lifetime. Our teaching is used by these students as one of their primary philosophies, if not their only primary philosophy. “Primary Channels” are those fragments with whom we share Agreements that extend across lifetimes and, of course, from before birth for this lifetime to use our teaching as a primary philosophy, and to help impart our teaching as a primary philosophy by giving us a medium of expression into the physical plane to our Primary Students. “Secondary Students” are those fragments with whom we share no original Agreement, but we develop an Agreement to accommodate their experimental exposure to our teaching. These fragments will most likely take only parts of our teaching as needed and not use it at a primary philosophy. “Secondary Channels” are those fragments with whom we share no original Agreement to act as our channel, but we develop an Agreement to accommodate these fragments who feel a strong drive to build their own teaching upon our philosophy. “Tertiary Students” are those fragments with whom we share no original Agreement and the student may never find valid contact with a channel, but we develop an Agreement to help guide in the use of our teaching as they might choose to use it as a guide for a period of time. “Tertiary Channels” are those fragments with whom we share no original Agreement, and these fragments do not have valid channeling skills, but we develop an Agreement to help build those skills, even as he or she may grossly misrepresent himself or herself. In other words, anyone claiming to channel us will automatically find a connection to us, though their ability to hear or convey us may be severely limited, despite their eagerness and sense of connection to us. “Regulators” are those fragments with whom we have Agreements (which may or may not have been generated before birth) to not only gather tangible records of all works offered by our Primary and Secondary Channels, but to help question, authenticate, and validate (and invalidate) this material. In some cases, there is overlapping Agreements, such as an Agreement to be a Regulator while also being a Primary Channel or Student. Ultimately, we come to all who ask. Our teaching is accessible to anyone.

    Releasing experience energies

    [Excerpt from Michael Speaks -- December 2008] [Kathryn41]: Scholars are said to hold experience energies in their bodies that may manifest as physical ailments or problems. What advice would Michael offer for releasing these types of energies (I suspect I am experiencing these problems right now) [Michael Entity]: Our response would be two-fold: Absorbing, Carrying, Processing experiences for a Scholar is so intrinsic that for a Scholar to ask this is almost the same as someone asking, "Essences are said to have bodies when they incarnate to the Physical Plane; what advice is there for alleviating Essence from having a body?" We point this out because it is a valid reality and substance that a Scholar contends with more than other Essences. In other words, it is not your imagination. Scholars not only absorb, carry, and process their own experiences, the experiences of those within observational proximity, but they share the work of being "drop points" for Entity members they may never even have known existed. Scholars are the equivalent of hubs and routers in many ways for the Entity and Cadre. [Kathryn41]: So, I guess I am asking about how to process more effectively [Michael Entity]: The second part of our response would be more specific to your question and that would be that Scholars would do well to create a ritual that allows for them to "upload" or "clear their cache." This can be done by simply sitting, standing, opening the arms, feet apart a bit, and consciously feeling the "LIFT" of energy being released to Essence. The wider this sense of openness, the more likely the effect will be profound and valid. Close the eyes, open the arms, and imagine the flow of release from all extremities moving to and through and out the Heart "up" to Essence. For most Scholars, the "tingle" will be tangible as the release flows. [Ingun]: Like surrender it to Essence? [Michael Entity]: Yes, Ingun, that is correct. The reason this is a valid practice for Scholars is because the Personality often "holds on to" all of the collected energy until is is UNDERSTOOD. And much of what is collected cannot and will not be processed by the Personality. [Kathryn41]: oh yes [Kathryn41]: any recommendations on how often to perform this 'ritual'? [marion]: would this work for other roles as well? [Michael Entity]: Adding to the physical actions of this release, a simple, ecstatic phrase/mantra during the release might be: "I don't have to understand it all." [Kathryn41]: (oooo - it works! I just tried it!) [Ingun]: Well isn't that a way all of us could use, like when we don't understand or can't cope with something ... just give it over to Essence? [Michael Entity]: Kathryn, we would suggest doing this any time you felt the impulse. Once it is done, one might begin to sense when one starts to "fill up" and needs to clear. [Kathryn41]: thank you Michael. That is a real help [Michael Entity]: Ingun and Marion: yes, we would agree. All fragments could do well to update, upload, and release accumulated experiences to Essence. In fact, this would help alleviate the burden on your fellow Scholars for doing it for you. What we described here is not the same thing as "surrender" when one is within a situation one cannot control. This is simply a clearing practice for releasing that which Personality does not have the capacity for processing or is already ready for uploading to Essence. Keep in mind that while Essence does have the capacity for observing and being a part of the most intimate details of your life, it is rather blind without the Personality's openness and sustaining of consciousness. [Kathryn41]: makes a lot of sense [Michael Entity]: Many fragments wait until Astral review during dreams, or between lives, to update Essence. The practice we described can help with keeping that line open to Essence and relieving the Body from unnecessary weights to process. [Kathryn41]: Thank you again [Michael Entity]: For Scholars, it can be, as we said, "I don't have to UNDERSTAND it all." For the Expression Axis it can be "I don't have to SAY/CREATE it all." For the Action Axis, it can be "I don't have to DEFEND/LEAD everything!" And for the Inspirational Axis it might be "I don't have to TEND/HEAL it all!" Or more simply put: "I don't have to Understand/Express/Do/Be it all!" Speaking this during the simple meditation we offered, and speaking it with realization, not defense, can be profound.
  18. [Excerpt from Michael Speaks: July 2004] [BingeBuddie] I know this may seem like a very basic question, but I have had a hard time validating my role in essence. With so many factors to consider such as casting, ET influence, overleaves, and entity position, etc. is there any definitive way to determine your role? I’ve went with channels in the past, but that causes confusion because it's difficult to tell what one input is as opposed to many inputs, such as Scholar having one and Artisan having 5. One channel Roles (Scholar, King, and Warrior) can concentrate in the midst of chaos right? So that’s kind of what I try to look at. Is that a good indicator? MEntity: No, we would not suggest using your ability to concentrate as your determining factor. The symptom of concentration vs. distraction in terms of Input is another of the simplifications that can happen when first learning about a part of the teaching. While it is true that an Essence with a single input can usually focus more intently in the midst of chaos, the influence of Personality, Imprinting, and Situations can greatly affect that level of concentration. What we would suggest as part of your validation of your Role in Essence is this: First, study the Roles. It is important to truly comprehend each Role. This means moving beyond the stereotypes that are a part of the initial stage of learning. Next, it is important to understand the vital differences between Essence and Casting. Casting affects how you behave “naturally”, how you express yourself to the world on a DAILY BASIS. Your Essence Role is most obviously comprehended in moments where you feel you SHINE. For instance: A Scholar-Cast Sage: In the daily life of this individual he may appear unkempt, distracted, refined, studious, directed, serious, and maybe even a bit out of synch socially, but this fragment would “shine” as soon as he was able to publicly share what he has gained as experiences in a way that was entertaining to at least a small group. A Sage-Cast Scholar, on the other hand, may be dramatic, socially obnoxious, emotional, depressed, extreme, performing, and chaotic in his daily life, but this fragment would “shine” when he is able to wholly comprehend something that can be finalized as a bit of profound personal knowledge. We do not know of a more appropriate word than “shine”. When you are in Essence, you feel complete, “on”, and you usually feel cohesion between your mundane self and your higher self. When we say “shine”, we do not intend to mean that everyone will see this, but rather that the Personality and Essence open to each other and a sense of lightness and wholeness pervade. We explain all of this to you in the context of an Essence having a different Role than Casting, but of course, there ARE Sage-Cast Sages and Scholar-Cast Scholars, but those fragments usually have little confusion as to their Role. Having explained those basic differences between Casting and Role in Essence, you can then figure out your Role or Casting by first determining if you feel you are more exalted or more ordinal in either of those contexts. In other words, in your DAILY LIFE, are you more one-on-one, but when you “shine”, are you surrounded by people? One-on-One might indicate a more Ordinal position, while being inclined toward groups can be an indication of an Exalted position. Once you have determined how you may behave in either context, you can then determine if you feel you are more compelled to have an inspiring, expressive, or active effect on your environment. This will then give you an indication as to the final role description you might be in your Casting or your Essence. For example, you may notice you are naturally more one-on-one in your daily life, thus indicating that you may be Ordinal-Cast, but when you “shine”, you notice you love to be in a group of people in some way, indicating you may be an Exalted Essence Role. Then you would determine if you are more inclined to be expressive, inspiring, or active in your daily life. If you find you are more concerned with inspiring, you could then safely start trying out the idea that you may be SERVER-CAST. When you “shine”, you may find you are more inclined to be expressive, entertaining, and teaching-oriented, which may indicate a SAGE ESSENCE. This would then be a Server-Cast Sage. We realize this can still be very confusing and difficult to determine, but it is a start. Because the Scholar Role is neutral, it can be the most difficult to determine and we would not be able to convey in this format the depth of questioning that would need to be explored for true validation of the Essence or Casting. One of the most important things you can do while studying our teaching and seeking to validate your Role, Casting, Overleaves, Entity, and Essence Twins, etc. is be open to an evolution of your understanding. You may discover that what you believed was inaccurate channeling is actually profoundly accurate to who you realize you are becoming (as you come into your own identity). Or you may discover that your self-determined Overleaves were highly inaccurate in your initial understanding and you now see that you are someone completely different after all. Never feel as if you must conclude who you are. Our system is designed to help you understand who you are, not complicate your self-perception. If you are thoroughly confused, pick a Role, pick your Overleaves, and begin “living with them”. You will begin to see what does and does not hold validity. [BingeBuddie] But would you have to be past the 4th internal monad to judge completely accurately as to what role you are? (not to ask ANOTHER lengthy question) MEntity: It does help to have completed the 4th Internal Monad in the Positive Pole for true self-awareness in terms of Essence, Casting, and True Personality. But then, that is the very crux of having a completion of the 4th Internal Monad in the Positive Pole, so it is not a matter of waiting for that rite to pass before seeking valid self-awareness. We are working with Troy in creating two new ways of determining your own basic profiles: a self-test, and a step-by-step process of elimination method. We believe this will help many of our students. We never sought to have any student dependent on our channels, so this is an important evolution to our sharing of the teachings. We believe we have given you at least some “food for thought” until then.
  19. I was reading one of a Michael Session were they mentioned that Sages, usually have a more organized way of speaking. I have Sage casting and I find that my writing tends to be very formal and organized it's tone. One of friend's also tells me that I speak on an organized manner. Do any of you Scholar's with Sage casting, find this to be true?
  20. This material was obtained in a private session on December 21, 2015. Janet: For xxxx — I am surprised that he is a Scholar. I had considered Artisan, but he has trouble with multitasking. He is often in trouble for lack of attention to detail. I find that strange for a Scholar. MEntity: First, he is Sage-Cast, so there may tend to be an "all or nothing" element of focus. Sages can multi-task quite well, but Sage-Cast can often show up as the "SQUIRREL!" or "ohh, shiny object" syndrome. Scholars are not inherently multi-taskers or focused. They have one Input. Mixing one Input with a Casting that has 3 can mean a Personality that shows up as fully present or fully distracted. Janet: Just to clarify — the casting does not add inputs does it? MEntity: Casting does not add Input, but it does affect Input. Janet: That is interesting. Can you expand on that a bit? I have not heard this. MEntity: Imagine the Input of Role as being how far one can turn one's head, and the Input of Casting is how many chairs one has for changing direction. So, a Scholar with One Input can only ever "look" straight ahead, but can change seats to see in different directions. An Artisan-Cast Artisan can not only turn her head in 5 directions, but she then has 5 different directions in which to seat herself. Janet: You beat me to the question. So I can see everywhere! lol MEntity: Being able to "see everywhere" can have its challenges and strengths, as well as the single seat and single input. No combination is a limitation over any other. They are merely different. Each will have their pros and cons and challenges and strengths.

    Artisan Casting

    This material was obtained in a POF session on December 21, 2014. Janet: ... you have given some general information about the effect of Artisan casting. I suspect there is a flavor associated to the role that has Artisan casting. My sister is a Server, I work with a man who is an Artisan-cast Warrior, and I of course am an Artisan-cast Artisan. Can you briefly explain how Artisan casting provides flavor to the Server vs. the Warrior vs. the Artisan? Or is there no real difference to the effect of casting to each role? MEntity: As for Artisan Casting: the Role makes a definitive difference in how Casting is used, yes. In the simplest of terms, it could be said that: The Server would be CREATIVELY NURTURING/SERVING, or DELUSIONALLY BOUND/TRAPPED. The Artisan would be INNOVATIVELY/INGENIOUSLY/PRODUCTIVELY CREATIVE, or UNREALISTICALLY/CONFUSINGLY/NEUROTICALLY/PARANOID DELUSIONAL. The Warrior is CREATIVELY PERSUASIVE, or DELUSIONALLY COERCIVE. The Scholar would be CREATIVELY EXPERIENCED/KNOWLEDGEABLE, or DELUSIONALLY THEORETICAL/LOGICAL/ABSTRACT. Sages would be CREATIVELY DISSEMINATING/PROPAGATING/COMMUNICATING, or DELUSIONALLY ORATING/LECTURING/SOAPBOXING. The Priest might be CREATIVELY COMPASSIONATE/WARM/BENEVOLENT, or DELUSIONALLY ZEALOUS/EARNEST/STRIDENT. The King would be CREATIVELY MASTERFUL/SKILLFUL, or DELUSIONALLY TYRANNICAL/REPRESSIVE/OPPRESSIVE.
