    True Change

An older channeling I came across today that took my breath away, again. From the November 2012 Energy Report: TRUE CHANGE IS A MATTER OF PERSPECTIVE Over the course of November, it can be helpful to remember that change really only happens in perspective. The constancy of change in the world around you, in the Physical Plane, is of such a constancy, that it is cycling over and over and over again in the forms of lifetimes, civilizations, weather, geography, and by extension, through politics, spiritualities, mythologies. It is true that these change, but this is not where the True Change occurs. True Change comes only in perspective. True Change is in the capacity to see another facet, another side, another part of the whole that is a constant, or to see it in a new way. The same Sun can come over your horizon for most of your life without your noticing, but one day, it is different. It changes. Not because it changed, but because your perspective did. Its beauty disappears in the same way. True Change can only be described by Soul Age in our system, and Soul Age comes only with a change in perspective, gained from experience within a constant sea and cycle of change. To resist or deny change is to deny your perspective, to deny evolution, to deny experience. There are going to be those who do not want to change, and do not want to see change, and only your perspective can free you to experience and create True Change. There are going to be times when you wish things would not change, or that those changes are terrifying, or painful, and it will be your perspective that frees you. True Change brings about True Possibilities, True Potential, which are based within a clear picture of the tools, resources, and paths necessary and available to you for making a change that you desire. That clarity, that observer, that stillness, the essence of who you are, allows for you to make the best use of those tools and resources, and to allow room for all of the changes, desired or unwanted, along the way.

    Soul Age Levels

I've been polishing the rad descriptions I have for the Soul Age Levels and have decided to post them now. I decided to delete the other topic discussion I made with the shorter descriptions and leave this one with more intricate summaries for both an individual manifesting each level, and a collective manifesting each level. These are all my interpretations however, but they're based on as much info I can find for each level. Each Soul Age will be its own post here so you can just scroll down to find it. :) I hope it's helpful for everyone! Remember that you can manifest a wide range of ages and levels so have fun looking at each of these and see how and where you've used them in the past and present. They're good measuring sticks for how you use your range of wisdom. :)
  3. February 13, 2005 Troy Tolley, Channel MICHAEL SPEAKS Online — Open Floor [M Entity] Hello to all of you. We are here. You may begin adding yourselves to the queue of questions and we will respond to you in that order. [sandt1222] Thank you. I still have a lot of questions of the basics. Tonight I would like to ask about the significance of the student groups who study together and the channel they choose. [M Entity] Channels through whom we work, (and channels who claim to work with us, but do not actually channel us) are all in some kind of Agreement with the students who are attracted to them. Some channels and teachers have Karma among their students, and the dynamic of their attraction to each other is based on that Karmic structure. Those who are attracted to Troy's channeling of us are in some way linked to the exploration of Perfect Imperfection; or put another way, “absolute comprehension, compassion, and acceptance of Self and Other.” For other channels, a student may be attracted to Empowerment themes, Relationship themes, Reality Dynamic themes, etc. It could then be said that each valid channel attracts three kinds of relationships: Monads, Agreements, and Karma. These Monads, Agreements, and Karma would be among the students as well as between channel and student. [See definitions at the bottom of this transcript for Monads, Agreements, and Karma.] [CearaQC] Greetings. Many books and websites speak about channeling one's higher self/oversoul. Do you have any advice and/or techniques to share with us on how this is accomplished? [M Entity] Yes. Through this channel, we have shared a great deal on that very concept. Troy will include those documents along with the transcript from this chat for your convenience. It is a collection of 3 sessions exploring that very topic and while we could briefly comment on it here, we believe a broader study of the topic as already explored would benefit you more appropriately. [NOTE FROM TROY: The series to which Michael refers was “Conscious Connection to Essence, Parts 1, 2, 3.” I am not really sure those transcripts will answer the question posed by Kara, so I am not sure why Michael suggested them. Unless they are seeking to emphasize a connection to Essence is the foundation for “channeling” your higher self, oversoul?] [BradburySE] I feel like I’m starting to notice the effect of this more and more lately in people around me and I'd like to see if my perceptions are valid. I would like to ask about the nature of sub-personalities. Are they something all of us have and carry within us; parts of our current personalities? Or are they negative influences that exist independent of a fragment? Are they parts of past-life personalities, or some astral fragment? [M Entity] Specifically-defined, a Sub-Personality is one facet of the Whole Personality that is usually unconsciously designated for specific management of specific feelings, situations, relationships, etc. Sub-Personalities are in communication with “each other,” which is the difference between a Whole Personality and a Personality challenged by Schizophrenia or Multiple Personality Disorder. Sub-Personalities are generated by the current Personality's experiences of the current lifetime. They are not independent of the Personality, as in “possession” of some sort, or some random “astral fragment.” To the extent that a Past Life is affecting the current Personality, then the Sub-Personalities MAY be a result of how the current Personality is managing that input, but this would still mean the Sub-Personalities are generated from within the structure of the current Personality, of course. Any “negative influences” or “astral fragments” affecting an individual's Personality behavior would not be considered in the same context as Sub-Personalities, but as rare and altogether different scenarios. Sub-Personalities can become nuisances and quite controlling of their particular psychological territory, but some can be quite beneficial and freeing of internal resources for challenges and growth. [BradburySE] Then someone in “whole personality” should surely remember what he or she said when a sub-personality was in control; is that right? [M Entity] You can identify when you are dealing with a Sub-Personality as you find yourself behaving in a seemingly automated manner within very specific circumstances. If a Sub-Personality is “cut off” from memory, it is no longer an issue of Sub-Personality, but of Multiple Personality Disorder, or Schizophrenia. Multiple Personality Disorder is the result of Sub-Personalities becoming disengaged from the Primary Personality Core, and each assumes it is the Core. Schizophrenia is the result of a specific Emotional element of the Personality being disengaged and assigned to a Sub-Personality to manage it. [Tibtyc] Greetings Michael. It seems to me that a lot of irritation, friction and strife between humans stems from differences in soul-age. Different ages have a hard time understanding, or just tolerating each other. Sometimes I think young and old should try to keep separate (as in the Indian caste system). Or at least that *I* should stay away from people whose valuations (probably soul age) are different from mine. But most of the time I mix & mingle, using lot of my energy to criticize, admonish, trying to correct what I see as “follies of youth,” in a collective, cultural sense. Maybe this is a mistake. What is a good attitude of one soul age to another, especially towards younger souls? Should one criticize? [M Entity] As with the progression of any maturation, the “older” will always be in the position of responsibility for understanding, teaching, redirecting, guiding, empathizing, and accepting the “younger.” So it is in Soul Age. The Older the soul, the more responsibility and capability there is within that soul to comprehend the previous soul ages. This does not mean one must condone or participate in the antics of the younger soul ages, but one can find peace, adaptability, and trust in those younger soul ages. In the same way that a parent must sometimes surrender to the power struggles of a teenager, so must the older soul surrender to the chaos of the Young and Baby Souls. Note that we use the word “surrender,” not “resign.” Surrender includes understanding and patience and trust, while resignation is the choice to abdicate all responsibility. We must also note that it can be quite tempting to stereotype the Soul Ages because of generalizations and media hype. It is assumed that only Baby and Young Souls, for instance, are responsible for the chaos in your world, but that couldn't be further from the truth. The apathy of an Old Soul does far more harm to your planet and people than any bomb from a Young Soul. The need to segregate one's consciousness from the rest of one's species as a means to uphold a false sense of spirituality or evolution is far more regressive than the zealousness of a Baby Soul. We make these statements as fact, not as judgments. As with every other aspect of life, a fragment may choose to do whatever he or she feels is most appropriate in all circumstances. In short, a “good attitude” toward younger souls is in the ability to see the innocence of their experimentation, chaos, and cruelty. Reaching into and resonating with the innocence of another Being is one of the most powerful means to transform the ripples of effect from those Beings' choices in your world. [Tibtyc] Should i take the part about “segregation” as referring to me? [M Entity] We do not specifically refer to you, though we are responding to the question as you stated it in terms of segregation based on a caste system. [flimflamdamn] So trying to connect with that innocence in another can help? [M Entity] Yes, Leela. That is what we said, but more specifically, we stated that it would “transform the effects on your world,” as in, “your personal experience” of the world. Changing your experience of the world is one of the most powerful means of creating your world in a “better way.” [Tibtyc] My understanding is that caste originally had to do with Age. [Annsge] (Think “Caste” had more to do with Essence Role) [M Entity] The caste system was originated and propagated only as a means of socio-political control, not as an extension of any mystical or spiritually-relevant systems; regardless of how that system can retrospectively be interpreted. [flimflamdamn] I know that I almost always ask about current events, so I'm sorry if this question is in any way redundant. But here goes: [M Entity] We do not require qualification of your questions, nor an apology. But you know this. [flimflamdamn] The government of my country seems to be more and more dangerous, both domestically and abroad. And so many of my fellow Americans seem to be asleep, self-obsessed, and ignorant of the rest of the world, just buying the whole program that's being sold to them. I and many people I know feel that our spirits have been broken, that we no longer live in a democracy, and we are frightened of our environmental and political future, not just here but all over the world. Right now, everything seems so status-quo, and the most destructive, selfish people seem to be getting their way in everything — I sense a future of diminished choice and degraded lives. What are the strongest probabilities this year, in this respect, and/or in terms of global or national events that affect us all? I should say I FEAR a future of diminished choice. [M Entity] In terms of “diminished choice,” we are assuming you refer to the privileged level of choices afforded the American lifestyle? [flimflamdamn] no…more like, the choice to control one's reproduction, the choice to live in a healthy environment, the choice to be part of a peaceful rather than war and fear-driven nation; not the choice to drive a Hummer or live in a McMansion; the choice to send one's kids to school, to be able to live rather than survive – that is what I refer to. [M Entity] The choice to “control one's reproduction, live in a healthy environment, and to be part of a peaceful nation” are still quite local to the United States' established privileges. [flimflamdamn] well then, perhaps that is what I am asking about. [upstaate] unfair distribution of the nations wealth? [flimflamdamn] Hard-fought freedoms [M Entity] If that is the case, we see no specific blows in the lack of choice afforded the United States' people in the year ahead. We suggest that the dynamic of division within the United States is not one-sided. The chief features of the older souls are as strong a contributor to the divisions and turbulence and fear as any younger soul. Consider the structure of a school: Physical Age would determine the levels of responsibility afforded the different groups of people participating in that school. Physical Age would determine the levels of (or circles of) choice allowed the different groups of people participating in that school. Physical Age would determine the available wisdom accessible to the different groups of people participating in that school. Consider that the “adults” are the Older souls and that they have resigned to levels of simple criticism, superiority, and other methods of huffing in disgust at the children. The population of children (younger souls), of course, outnumbers the population of the adults (older souls), so it is valid that there is very little that can be done to herd the mass of children into order by the adult standards. [flimflamdamn] but lately the children seem to be running things…and they seem bent on destruction. [M Entity] There are only two methods that an older soul can regain a sense of peace in that environment: through RESTRICTIONS or through FREEDOMS. [Tibtyc] Adults stand aside and just watch… [M Entity] Restrictions would require a great deal of energy that is usually not interesting to an older soul to expend. However, if that choice were to be made, it would mean a grand implementation of order to remove the ability of the young to make their own choices. [flimflamdamn] sounds disagreeable [M Entity] In fact, most literal adults use this method to train and grow literal children. The effects of that restriction, of course, are only to directly benefit one group of people, the adults (or older souls). The other choice is through the method of FREEDOMS. This means that the older souls, or adults, OFFER alternatives, educate those who are interested, and create paths that can help funnel the energy of the younger. [freyaisissuz] sounds like the Super Nanny's [Tibtyc] Choice, and not Laws… [M Entity] This then gives peace to the adults because now the experience of the personal world can begin to be filled with accomplishment, meaning, and support for the choice toward peace. This also diminishes the destructive effects of the younger souls because it only takes one fragment out of 1,000 fragments to change the minds, hearts, and actions of that 1,000. [upstaate] can you give us examples of the RESTRICTIONS? [M Entity] Examples of Restrictions might be: Lockdowns; Public Humiliation; Broad Judgments and Punishments; Removal of Services; Apathy; Callousness; Resignation; Force. Of course, the globe and life are not as simple as a school, but we use that analogy as a means of simplifying. [flimflamdamn] How does this apply to the very real dangers of what our leaders are doing, secretly and explicitly? [M Entity] Leela, this applies in a very real way. Rather than brooding about and condemning the children of your world, much can be done to funnel that energy into creating choices and paths for those who CAN support your vision of a peaceful world. The world is currently in no better or worse position environmentally, politically, socially, or politically than 10,000 years ago or before. There are simply more people, more choices, and more exposure. There is a tendency for the older soul to generate the worst visions of reality when there is an overwhelming diet of exposure to tragedies in the world. Those tragedies will exist with or without your consent and approval. We do not suggest one disengage from the reality of tragedies in your world, but we do suggest that you are not the parents of the world and that the children will eventually learn. You did. [flimflamdamn] thank you. This does help. I still fear the children who have nukes…but this does help. [M Entity] The horrors that each of you imposed on the freedoms of other fragments across your lifetimes are as much a part of this world as the current horrors being explored among other souls. Use your energy and your ability to choose a way to input into the world what you most want from it. Simply condemning the world to tragedy and impending loss is more telling of how you perceive your own life than as an accurate perception of your shared world. Leela, people do not “have to learn through horror.” People CHOOSE to learn through horror. It is quite popular. As soul ages become more condensed and exponentially accelerating in growth, so do the apparent horrors seem to match, as this is a very quick way to learn. Consider the deflection of a child’s hand from fire through your verbal restriction and intervention. Nothing was learned except that the adult is afraid of the orange light. A child who touches the flame will rarely, if ever, intentionally touch a flame again. [kittlekats41] My question is a follow up to Shannon's: are there a ‘usual’ or ‘reasonable’ number of sub-personalities each of us assume in a life, or does this vary based on soul age, levels and Overleaves too much to give an average? [M Entity] Most fragments generate at least 12 Sub-Personalities as an internal kind of support group. There would then be an internal facet who deals with Love, Knowledge, Compassion, Humor, Discipline, Anchor, Healer, Muse, Enlightenment, Child, Beauty, and Mentor. Each is actually assigned a name and a gender, internally and unconsciously. As a fragment begins to rely on their EXTERNAL Support Group, so does the sense of Wholeness and levels of consciousness/awareness begin cohesion. We are describing the classic picture of most Personality’s system of Sub-Personalities, but this is by no means a rule. We will conclude with the final question. [Annsge] Are there times when the sub-personality is perceived as negative by the Personality? If so, what can be done about it? [M Entity] A Sub-Personality is considered “negative” if the Core Personality is rendered helpless to the fearful choices and patterns of that Sub-Personality. The Core Personality will ALWAYS be able to override the Sub-Personality, but a “negative” Sub-Personality can be quite daunting and rooted. [Annsge] Is the Chief Feature a factor in this? [M Entity] Yes, Ann, the Chief Feature (when fear and division are involved) is always involved. Some means by which the Core Personality can override the patterns, fears, and momentum of a negative Sub-Personality are: ASKING FOR HELP — one should never underestimate the ability of an external resource to help one through difficulties. NAMING and GUIDING — one can consciously name the Sub-Personality and humorously begin to see how it has come to be in control, then use internal compassion as a means to educate that facet of self toward new ways of choosing. CORE CONSCIOUSNESS — this would be a deliberate, yet gentle, awareness of what AREAS of the life tend to be ruled by a Sub-Personality’s pattern and consciously examining those contexts, rather than waiting until the Sub-Personality has already risen to control. As a final note, we wish to clarify that these Sub-Personalities are NOT separate from you, nor are they “to blame” for your poor behavior. They are simply FACETS of you, in the same way that your Hand and Foot are still your Body. The more coordination and communication among your Body Parts, the more gracefully you live. The more coordination and communication among your Personality Facets, the more gracefully you live. We will conclude here. Goodnight to each of you. Definitions: Monad: A single unit of experience comprised of two polarized parts that eventually create inherent lessons and resolutions. There are internal and external Monads. Agreement: A casual commitment to share a specific experience usually made on a non-physical level of communication. Karma: The attempt to resolve a previous interference of someone’s choices that resulted in some kind of intensity.
  4. OMW - Apr 20, 2013 - How You Matter and Why This Matters To You 9:45 AM 4/20/2013 Channel: Troy Tolley [MEntity] Hello to each of you. We are here, now. We may begin discussing with you the suggested concept of how you "matter" and how this might matter to you. [MEntity] Before exploring the nuances of "matter" as a matter of study and self-reflection, it is important to note, first, that there is no such thing as someone not mattering. Everyone matters. Everyone. There are no exceptions. [MEntity] As we explore the nuances of this, the validity of this may become clear. [MEntity] This quality of mattering starts to become clearer as one exits the Young Soul Age, and enters the Mature Soul Age. [MEntity] This is because it is when the Essence and the Personalities begin to truly grasp the impact of oneself and others in both figurative and literal senses. [MEntity] There are two ways in which one finds one matters: figuratively, or perceptually; and literally, or directly. [MEntity] As with nearly everything, there are ways to matter in positive ways and in negative ways. [MEntity] Keep in mind that our polarities are not degrees between "good and bad," but degrees between expansion and contraction, openness and closure, inclusivity and exclusivity, etc. [MEntity] In earlier lifetimes with earlier Soul Ages one tends to focus on how one matters from the negative pole. This brings an emphasis on how one matters to those defined as significant, as opposed to the older Soul Ages were it begins to matter to you if you matter to even the broadest range of strangers. [MEntity] As one grows in Soul Age, it will continue to matter if you matter to those you have deemed significant, but this will be included in the broader scheme of things regarding how you matter to the world, how your life matters, etc. [MEntity] In earlier Soul Ages, it will tend not to matter at all how one matters to "the world," as long as one matters to those deemed significant. [MEntity] Another way the Negative Pole can manifest is if one is only concerned with how one matters to "the world" over how one matters to those deemed signficant. [MEntity] Again, the poles are about inclusivity over exclusivity. [MEntity] How one matters to "the world" overshadows how one matters to those deemed significant is a hallmark of the Young Soul. [MEntity] The weight of how one matters begins to grow heavy for the Mature and Old Soul because how one matters to "everything and everyone" comes into consideration, and the balancing that can be required of this can be quite challenging. [MEntity] It is particularly heavy for the Mature Soul, and begins to lighten for the Old Soul over the Levels. [MEntity] This is because during the Mature Soul Levels, this is constantly measured and there is a constant monitoring and balancing in place that can be exhausting, but during the Old Soul Levels, the assumption that (every) one matters begins to integrate as part of one's base line. [MEntity] Depending upon where one is in Manifesting Soul Age, then the consideration of how one matters will take on different degrees of emphasis and weight. [MEntity] For most Old Souls, there is still some weight and emphasis to the concept because it has been a Young Soul world shifting to Mature Soul for a long time. It is difficult to transcend the resonance of considering how one matters. [MEntity] The first part of this workshop's activities is to respond to the following question: CREATE A LIST OF 5 THAT MATTERS TO YOU. This list is not definitive, but a sampling. Let whatever comes to your mind or heart be heard in this moment, and list those 5. It is okay if more come to you after that list. [MEntity] *****LIST OF 5***** [brian] 5 people, topics, events? [MEntity] We leave that to you. [GeraldineB] Things that matter to me: the internet, my computer, the Michael Teachings, the Project, completing my 5th IM [DianeHB] Tex, my family, friends, the Michael Teachings, sustaining prosperity [brian] security, self-expression, ability to make a positive lasting impact to others by helping and teaching, figuring out where I "belong" in the world, and being accepted and relatable to others [Janet] Supporting my daughters in pursuing their life goals, Ensuring that my Mom and Dad are okay , Leaving a positive legacy in my work, Being perceived as a pleasant person, Being creative whenever possible in things I do at home or at work [Bobby] (in no particular order) Marty, my home, my cats, my freedom, this teaching [ClaireC] Family, friends, Ecology - all animals, plants, oceans, communication and Love. [IngunD] Joy, me, my sons, family/friends, the earth [Maureen] That “everything” be understood, people’s health and well-being that I come into contact with, sleep, rest, physical “security” [MEntity] We will return to these. [MEntity] As we stated in the beginning of our discussion: there are two primary ways one tends to matter: perceptually/figuratively, and directly/literally. [MEntity] How one matters perceptually/figuratively is how one contemplates how one matters when alone. [MEntity] It could be described as how you see yourself. [MEntity] How you interpret yourself. [MEntity] But not just how you interpret yourself, but how you interpret yourself in the SPACE between EVENTS. [brian] could you give an example of what you mean by the "space between events?" [MEntity] Though only a minor play on words, "Matter" is always, almost completely, made up of SPACE. [MEntity] The depth you determine you matter is often defined in that space/time between experiences, between events, in your "down time," your aloneness, your fragmentation. [MEntity] No Essence or Personality is bombarded with experience 100% of the time; there is always space/time between those experiences, and this where perceptual matter comes in. [MEntity] This is inclusive of your Reviews, both within life and between lives, and your time between relationships, between events, within your boredom, your meditation, your dreams, etc. [MEntity] MOST of your life is aloneness. MOST of your life is the space between. This is because you are never where you are not, but you can often be where others are not, or where nothing is happening. This is not a sad or bad thing. It is a natural function of this universe. [MEntity] How you matter to you, then, is often determined in that space between, reflective of how matter exists in the universe. You are made up of the same materials, functions, and properties that can be found in the physics and quantum physics of matter, and so it is not merely novel to draw parallels to how you define the depth and degree of your own matter. [MEntity] This degree and depth of perceptual matter helps define the degree and depth of Manifestation of True Personality and Essence. [MEntity] It is the medium through which Essence Manifesting, and True Personality emerge. [MEntity] This entire function of perceptual matter is managed in the Personality by the ATTITUDE. [MEntity] How you perceive and interpret the world through your primary philosophy helps to determine the space between events, people, experiences, and how you determine how you matter to you. [MEntity] If your Attitude is in the Negative Pole, how you feel you matter may decline in value. [MEntity] If your Attitude is in the Positive Pole, how you feel you matter may increase in value. [MEntity] We describe this angle on how you matter as being perceptual or figurative, because it is not truly measurable. It is self-determined, and cannot be determined by anyone but you. [MEntity] However, it WILL BE what you present to others. [MEntity] Your Attitude is the first Overleaf offered up when interacting with others. [MEntity] In nearly every social exchange, it is the Attitude that is the primary medium. [MEntity] It is where you display your self-esteem, your trust, your confidence. [MEntity] It is how you display how you matter to you. [MEntity] And this is determined by you in your aloneness. [MEntity] Depending upon where one is in this determination can play out as activating the Chief Negative Features for protection of one's values, or for expressing, representing one's values. [MEntity] This is one of the reasons why Meditation is considered seriously as a matter of healthfulness for being extant, as it brings to the forefront of your consciousness the truth of your aloneness, your existence, and when you can sit with this, you increase your capacity for matter. [MEntity] Keep in mind that "meditation" includes a spectrum of methods that is not limited to simply sitting in a lotus position, but is a practice in allowing singularity, both in focus and in presence. [MEntity] Regardless of your Attitude, its poles, or where it may "slide," a quick check in with your Intellectual Center can help you to determine in the moment where you are in your Attitude and its expression of how you matter. [MEntity] Regardless of your Centering, the Intellectual Center is hooked into the Attitude Overleaf. [MEntity] The Intellectual Center is polarized by INSIGHT vs REASON. [MEntity] So a quick check in with yourself in terms of where you are in how you matter to you is to pay attention to how you interact socially, but also whether you bring Insight to those exchanges, or Reason. [MEntity] REASON is expressed in justifications, explanations, causes, usually removing oneself or another from an equation. [MEntity] INSIGHT is the capacity for accurate, intuitive comprehension of a person or event, inclusive of all parts of the equation. [MEntity] Insight will include Reason, but Reason will function differently than when it is exclusive of Insight. When Reason is a part of Insight, it is logical, critical, rational thinking, whereas when Reason is exclusive of Insight, it tends toward defense, excuses, blame. [MEntity] Reason within Insight is the parts that helped bring the whole of Insight, the bricks that build the platform. Reason without Insight is still bricks, but usually just thrown from where one stands, if you will. [MEntity] Does this make sense? [Janet] The description of insight vs. reason makes sense. [Janet] I don't yet see application to the topic. But I'm sure it's coming. [DianeHB] yes, it makes sense [MEntity] We will try to clarify here, then. [IngunD] yes [MEntity] How one perceives oneself in terms of matter is expressed through the Attitude. The degree to which one is in the positive pole of the Attitude is the degree to which one has determined one matters, and the degree to which one might be in the negative pole is the degree to which one may still feel one does not matter. [MEntity] This plays out in social scenarios and exchanges. [Janet] I see that. [brian] I understood that part [MEntity] This is because this is where one carries self-esteem, confidence, and trust, and how that is built, which is determined by how one matters to oneself, or perceives she matters. QUESTIONS [MEntity] We will take your question, then, to help us determine if we can clarify further, or if it is a matter of continuing on. [brian] I think I know what the answer will be, but I'll ask the question anyway [brian] how do we figure out how we matter to ourselves? [MEntity] Brian - here are a few considerations for determining your perceptual matter, or how you matter to you: the degree to which one can be alone without being lonely; the degree to which one can express his values without defense; the degree to which one allows trust; the degree to which one is confident. [MEntity] Keep in mind that we say "HOW" one matters, not "whether" one matters. You will always matter, but HOW you matter is what may matter to you. How one matters is described by your determination of how you "matter to the world," and/or "matter to others." [brian] That may explain why I think of "utility" when you say "how one matters" because I am seeing it through the lens of the pragmatist attitude [MEntity] When one of those excludes the other, it can be painful and heavy, or when there is a lack of connection between the two as extremes. [MEntity] Whomever may wish to ask a question at this point can do so, regarding what we have shared, so far. [GeraldineB] Does one's CF trigger the negative pole of Attitude or vice versa? [MEntity] Geraldine, it is the latter. Chief Negative Features are passive. They can only be activated by another Overleaf. [MEntity] We will continue. [MEntity] The other way one matters is in terms of Direct or Literal ways. [MEntity] This is managed in the Personality by the GOAL. [MEntity] This tends to play out in how you impact "the world" or "others." [MEntity] The emphasis here is on "impact." [MEntity] That is because the Moving Center is hooked into every Goal, regardless of your Centering. [MEntity] You can determine how you feel you matter in terms of impact by checking in with the Positive and Negative Poles of the Moving Center. [MEntity] This is a spectrum between PRODUCTIVE and FRUSTRATED. [MEntity] Your Goal is something that is never completed, with no finish lines, but is a state or quality your Essence/Personality aims to create, sustain, and share as an impact on the world and others. [MEntity] The more one tends toward the Positive Pole of the Goal, toward being Productive, the more one tends to determine that one matters. [MEntity] To the degree that you feel you create, sustain, and share the impact of your Goal, is often the degree to which you feel your presence and participation matter to the world and to others. [MEntity] Though the Goal, in itself, is not always something obvious and tangible, the impact of the effort to create, sustain, and share it is entirely measured in tangibility. [MEntity] Your Productivity or Frustration at any given moment helps to describe where you are in that aim for the Goal. [MEntity] And this, in turn, helps you to determine how you matter. [MEntity] OUR NEXT QUESTION: [MEntity] Do you see a similarity or a discrepancy between how you feel you matter to you, and how you feel you matter in impact? Do you feel they are difficult to differentiate? [GeraldineB] I think that's a nuance that's too fine for me to really grasp [Janet] I really think how I matter to me has an effect on how I matter in impact. [brian] I'm still seeing / experiencing so much through the negative poles that it seems the same to me. I haven't built up a gradient to be able to see the difference yet [Maureen] I feel there is a direct correlation between my impact in the world and how I see I matter. I wish it didn't matter to me -- but it does. [IngunD] How I matter to me influences how I matter in impact [brian] the only distinction I have is when others tell me that I'm making an impact, but it doesn't feel like one to me [GeraldineB] I think I'm usually at a place of just assuming that I have an impact, regardless of whether or not I can see it [DianeHB] I matter to me, though I have more doubts about how I matter in impact. [MEntity] The next part of our discussion on how you matter may bring this together into some realizations for each of you. [MEntity] As with most of our teaching, there is no isolation of parts, but a circuitry and networking that is beautiful and vast. [MEntity] In terms of how one matters, to the self, or in impact, to others, to the world, or both, and whether those are positive or negative, all ties back to your MODE. [MEntity] The MODE is the fuel for both the Goal and the Attitude in the circuitry for how one feels one matters at all. [MEntity] That is because the Mode is where you develop your CORE VALUES. Your Core Values are at the hub of what you use for determining how you matter in all ways. [MEntity] Your list of 5 is relevant here. [MEntity] To the degree that you IMPACT or EXPRESS those values is the degree to which you feel you matter. [MEntity] Core Values develop from how one RELATES, which is described by the Mode. [MEntity] The Emotional Center, or Inspiration, is hooked into the Mode, and thereby one's Core Values, regardless of one's Centering. Therefore, Core Values describe the medium that you use for REFLECTION or PROJECTION. [MEntity] HOW YOU MATTER IN IMPACT, TO YOU, TO OTHERS, TO THE WORLD is dependent upon your pursuit, fulfillment, creation, nurturing, sharing, etc. of those Core Values. These are either Reflected in your impact, in yourself, in others, and in the world, or you Project those Core Values upon those things. [MEntity] Even in your short list of Core Values, you will see the clues that shape your sense of matter. [MEntity] That list shifts, changes, evolves, updates, etc. but there is always a list. [MEntity] OUR NEXT QUESTIONS: Do each of you see how your list fuels your sense of how you matter? Do you see how these play into your Attitude and Goal, as they are expressed or used for motivation for impact? [MEntity] This list is not just about what matters to you, but how you wish to matter in the world, to others, and to yourself. [brian] under that guidance yes (took the thoughts and question right out of my head again) [Maureen] yes -- I do. It's like an entangled loop. [Janet] I see the connections [DianeHB] I can see it [ClaireC] Yes. [Bobby] I'll think on it some more [GeraldineB] I see the correlation [MEntity] ANOTHER QUESTION: Does it matter to you that you can map out the ways in which you determine you matter? [brian] yes [DianeHB] yes [ClaireC] Yes. [Janet] The connections you have pointed out between centers and attitude, goal and mode are enlightening and the interconnection makes mapping out the ways I matter valuable. [Bobby] yes [MEntity] Your Overleaves are far more than quaint Personality characteristics. It is a simple system that holds many truths about you. [IngunD] yes [Janet] I see those awesome connections more and more. [MEntity] The discussion of how one matters in a life is not a trivial discussion for comfort, but is entirely relevant to how one uses the Overleaves, how one brings oneself into the world and experiences oneself within. [MEntity] You matter. How you matter, is up to you. [MEntity] A final layer of consideration here is that your list of Core Values of the Mode, and how those play out through your Goal and Attitude, helps determine who and what matters TO you, as well. [MEntity] Today we explored how you matter, and how you matter determines everything about how everything else matters TO you. [MEntity] To conclude today, we will say again that you matter. There is no way around this. How you matter is up to you. The spectrum of how you matter is defined by the impact and expression of your Core Values to yourself, the world, and others. [ClaireC] Thanks for the great material, Michael. [Janet] Really really helpful to me right now. [MEntity] It may be difficult to quantify how one feels or thinks one matters, so this is another example of how the simple effort and consciousness of working with the positive and negative poles of your Overleaves can affect far more than meets the eye. [MEntity] Whatever method works best for you in moving toward True Personality, and Manifestation of Essence, works to define how you matter. [MEntity] Good day to each of you. We will conclude here. 12:20 PM 4/20/2013
  5. Michael Speaks LIVE "Soul Age Levels" August 25, 2013 Channel: Troy Tolley MEntity: Hello to all of you. We are here, now. We understand the subject is further exploration and review of the Soul Age Levels, and that there is an initial question you would choose as a starting point. We can begin our exchange. [Maureen] DESCRIPTION: By request: an exploration of the Soul Age Levels and how these work as descriptions of where one is in the process of expanding consciousness. Michael, would you provide a description for each of the Soul Age Levels focusing on the progressive elements or perceptual states that come into play as we work our way through all the Soul Ages, with emphasis today on the Old Soul Age, with a follow-up of Mature if we have enough time. Would you elaborate on how learning and insight can be complemented, at the same Level, across Soul Ages. For example, are the same Levels at a different Soul Age complementarily equal? Would a Level 4 Mature Soul and a Level 4 Old Soul be in an advantageous position to learn from each other? MEntity: Each Soul Age has 7 Levels. Each Level has 7 Internal Monads. To progress through a Soul Age LEVEL, one must complete/fulfill each of the Internal Monads. Internal Monads may take several lifetimes to fulfill, progressively. This is fairly simplistic and is review for most of you. If one were to complete all 7 Internal Monads in a single lifetime, the Essence took only one lifetime at one Level. If one takes 21 lifetimes to work through all of the Internal Monads, then it took 21 lifetimes to progress through that Level. Common across ALL Soul Age Levels is this process. This is because there is no lifetime that starts completely intact with its memories, experiences, and consciousness. It must be regained, rekindled, accessed, activated. In short, every lifetime is a process of remembering. This loss of memory is not on the scale of Essence, but relative to the new body. A new brain with new cells means that it will take time for that body to represent the consciousness/sentience. The first 7 years of a life is almost entirely about this fusion. So in every lifetime, one must be born and stay alive (first internal monad), then activate independent mobility (second internal monad), then activate self-sufficiency (third internal monad), then shed imprinting and activate self-definition (fourth internal monad), then free the self from self-imposed limitations and recreate the self from wisdom and experience (5th internal monad), then profoundly embrace and comprehend one's mortality (6th internal monad), then exit without attachments (7th internal monad). Some of these are more difficult to complete than others, depending on the Personality, but once one is completed, even if no others beyond that are completed within the lifetime, it is done, and only the remaining would be required for progress through the Level. For example: if one were to complete the 3rd Internal Monad, but not complete any beyond this in that lifetime, then the next lifetime will not only have an "easier" time of moving through the first three, but now only has to complete the 4th (and beyond, if possible.) However, even if that subsequent lifetime only completes the 2nd Internal Monad, it is not a setback for progress through the Soul Age Level. It may be a lull in progress, but only technically. Every lifetime contributes. We know of one fragment who took over 100 lifetimes to move through one Internal Monad. We share the details and review of the Internal Monads as they relate to the Levels because where one is in his or her Internal Monads can help give you an idea of where one is in the Level. Essence is in no hurry, so this information is not to be used as a means for pressure and measurement, but more as a means for orientation and expansion of choice. Of course, if one chooses to use this information against himself or herself, or to use it as a means of feeling better than someone else, it is up to them, but that is a fairly useless use of the information. So these Internal Monads are common among ALL Soul Age Levels. The reason everything is reset upon progression into a new Soul Age Level so that one must now cycle through the progression of Internal Monads for each Level is because each Level is a new context and perception. Though this is a bit misleading, since no grading or approval is involved in any way. Another commonality among all Levels is the polarities of each Level: Regardless of one's Soul AGE, these Polarities will help to define the emphases of COURSES, if you will, relative to the Soul Age. The FIRST LEVEL is always about the spectrum between PURPOSE and SIMPLICITY. The SECOND LEVEL is always about the spectrum between STABILITY and BALANCE. The THIRD LEVEL is always about the spectrum between ENTERPRISE and VERSATILITY. The FOURTH LEVEL is always about the spectrum between CONSOLIDATION and ACHIEVEMENT. For many, there is a pivotal lifetime that we refer to as MID-CYCLE, which combines the elements of the Third and Fourth Levels. The FIFTH LEVEL has as its spectrum the polarities between EXPANSION and ADVENTURE. The SIXTH LEVEL has as its spectrum the polarities of HARMONY and CONNECTION. The SEVENTH LEVEL has as its spectrum the polarities of INCULCATION and ECLECTICISM. All of these are relevant to every Soul Age. Since your interest is in starting with the OLD Soul Age, we will start there for some combining that can help one to see how all of this comes together in helping describe where one is in the process of evolving contexts, perceptions, and consciousness. Because this is an incarnational process, it is not just a process of accepting oneself as BEING Essence, it is a process of accepting the creation of Essence that is YOU. On an Essence Level, this acceptance of BEING is about comprehending one's place in the vastness of the cosmos. This is difficult to comprehend while a Personality is rejecting itself. In order for Essence to learn to accept itself as a creation, it must work through the experiences of Personalities accepting themselves as creations. So every lifetime across the Old Soul Age is about self-acceptance, and this is played out through a multitude of ways. It could be said that every Soul Age, or fragment, works toward self-acceptance, and that is true to some degree, but it is the Old Soul who seeks to accept the unacceptable, to embrace totality of Being, both as Personality and as Essence. The Old Soul does this not through relationships as much as they do through exposure to "the world." This is because the Old Soul has already worked through the myriad forms of relationships during the Mature Soul Age to learn about empathy, but now seeks to work to resolve contradictions, paradoxes, and discrepancies regarding TRUTH. So the Old Soul gets preoccupied with how there are so many different truths when the greater truths are now being seen and comprehended. What is the truth, then? How can one be so invested in "this" truth, when there are "better" truths? It could be said, then, that the "school" of the Young Soul is Energy, and the "school" of the Mature is Love, while the School of the Old is Truth. The Old Soul must make sense of a multitude of conflicting, contradictory, dichotic, and paradoxical truths as a means toward acceptance of one's Being, and the unacceptable. Keeping this larger context in mind as the Old Soul AGE, or this School of Truth, then the Levels are one's map of exploration through that school of truths. So a FIRST LEVEL OLD SOUL would tend to emphasize "the truth" of one's PURPOSE. This tends to be explored through SIMPLICITY, first, and then moves into a sense of direction. It is utterly horrifying to have come "this far" and then find that "we did this just for the fun of it?" That phrasing is in jest, but it is fair. Most fragments who arrive at this Level, or are manifesting at this Level, will succumb to a sense of exhaustion, of a daunting sense that one just wants to "go home," and is dreading the work of making sense of it all, and making sense of the self. Now, adding in the Internal Monads within the Level, one who is, say, at the 3rd Internal Monad within the 1st Level of the Old Soul Age will be a combination of challenges and experiences around Self-sufficiency, Purpose/Simplicity, and Truth. Or put another way: discovering one's Truth of Purpose through Self-Sufficiency. The 4th Internal Monad would be something like refining one's truth of purpose through self-definition. And so on. This gives you the gist of how the combination of terms and levels within levels can have more personal sense made of them. Continuing on, then, the 2nd Level of the Old Soul Age would be about the Truth of Stability, or the Stability of Truth vs the Balance of Truth/Truth of Balance. The 3rd Level would be about the Enterprise or Versatility of Truth. Enterprise here is meant as a term to describe the comprehensive work that is required in an undertaking or project. Versatility is meant here as a scattering of the focus that would otherwise be Enterprising. The 4th Level would be that of the Consolidation or Achievement of Truth. Consolidation here is meant as the full expression of the whole Truth, whereas Achievement is the accomplishment of reaching and expressing the next truth. (We can return to each of these for further elaboration during questions and answers.) The 5th Level is about the Expansion of Truth and the Adventure of Truth. The 6th Level is the Harmony of Truth through the Connections of Truths. The 7th Level is about the Inculcation of Truth and the Eclecticism of Truth. Do each of you see how these simple combination of terms can be relevant to your own Soul Age, presuming it is accurate, and presuming one is not manifesting strongly in focus through a different Soul Age? The Old Soul, even if manifesting at a younger Soul Age, tends to find some conscious resonance to the Soul Age Level. [Maureen] Yes, I do Michael [Kathryn41] yes [MikeClev] yes [Bobby] yes MEntity: We will open the floor to questions now as they relate to the topic. We know the elaboration today has been rather synopsized, but it is packaged so that the terms can be explored by you as students to discover on your own some of the meaning of your Soul Age and Level. QUEUE IS NOW OPEN [DianeHB] Could you elaborate more on what is meant by the "Enterprise of Truth"? I'm not understanding how those two go together. MEntity: As one explores one's relationship to Truth, and the concept of Truth, it tends to be done in steps, or as "Achievements." "I now believe this." "I know this to be true, now." "I understand this, now." "This suddenly makes sense to me." Achievements are the steps, the individual truths upon which greater truths are built. Enterprise is the growing form that is chosen/created through which those truths are expressed. In many cases, this tends to be "the life." The life begins to model the wholeness of the truths. [DianeHB] Ok, I'm starting to see it now. :) MEntity: The 1st Level of any Soul Age is about the exploration of the new perceptions and context. The 2nd Level is about the experimentation with the new perceptions and context. The 3rd Level is about owning those new perceptions and context. The 4th Level is then about bringing that back out into the world in some way. For those who are 4th Level Old, there may be this understanding that one has progressed in the lifetime in definitive steps that lead to plateau, then more steps, another plateau, etc. The steps are achievements; the plateau are Enterprise. It is when one takes a break from learning and moves into applying. Neither is at the expense of the other, of course, but there is emphasis in cycles. Does this help? [DianeHB] Do you mean 3rd Level or 4th Level in that last metaphor? [DianeHB] And yes, it helps MEntity: Correction: we were describing Mid-Cycle, the combination of 3rd and 4th. The Enterprise of Truth as the 3rd Level is the cohesion of one's sense of the truth from all of the Versatility of Truth that one collects across the lifetime. Those at the 3rd Level are learning to own the new perspective and context, but they struggle with many different truths about themselves, about others, about life, the cosmos, etc, eventually pulling them together into a wholeness that is the Enterprise. This is much like the 3rd Internal Monad in that it is one's departure from depending on the truths of others, and collecting one's own. [DianeHB] I see MEntity: This then propels one forward into using one's own truths (enterprise). [DianeHB] I can see this in me as I go through the 4th IM MEntity: The Enterprise aspect is like the infrastructure built of parts collected through Versatility. [royce] I guess what I am looking for is a good definition of what makes adventure more narrow than expansion. for instance, i throw myself into very unfamiliar situations like a recent gathering i went to and from that adventure i feel like a lot of truths came to surface. Adventure leads to truth leads to expansion leads to clearer insight of same truth? thanks MEntity: Polarities often refer to "narrow," but they just as often refer to "divided," or "fragmented." Often these are the same things. You are correct in stating that Adventure can lead to Expansion. It is only when one stays focused on Adventure does one reject Expansion. Expansion will always include Adventure, but Adventure does not always include Expansion. Keep in mind that we are limited in selection of words in various languages, and keep in mind that our use of terms in different contexts can give them different meaning, so the use of Expansion and Adventure here as it refers to the polarities of the 5th Level is different from the use of those terms as Needs. One reaches the Positive Pole "through" the Negative Pole. Only the Negative Pole can be exclusive. The Positive Pole is inclusive. So if you are going on Adventures as means for Expansion, then your Expansion is built from Adventures. For some, though, the emphasis on Adventure is only for stimulation, for distraction, or indulgence and addictions and fetish. Does this help? [royce] very much so, thank you [brian_] Michael could you expand more upon details of the pivotal lifetime that you refer to as MID-CYCLE. What makes it pivotal, why is it important, what tends to occur during this lifetime, what effects does it have in Essence evolution? MEntity: Our earlier response to Diane was for this question, in that the Mid-Cycle is a combination of both the 3rd and 4th Level Polarities because those Polarities are so similar. They are so similar because one is about the cohesion of the infrastructure, or the underlying foundation, upon which, and through which the expression will come. It is unique in that two Soul Levels overlap, if you will. This makes the lifetime and Personality a bit confusing as there is a dance between the introspection and the expression, often as extremes, or at least as contradictions and inconsistencies. It can be a pivotal lifetime because it "makes or breaks" the infrastructure that was secured during the 3rd Level, and there would tend to be a Review within the life, or after, that pulls it apart and rebuilds it. [Maureen] Please elaborate on what is meant by the Inculcation of Truth and the Eclecticism of Truth at Level 7 MEntity: This might be understood as the difference between living your truths as a means of teaching, healing, contributing, versus using them to differentiate yourself from, above, or below others. Inculcation comes from repetition of application and modeling of your truths. Eclecticism is deriving the truth from various sources, often then adjusting one's truths to adapt to others' truths. Eclecticism is also an inconsistency in one's truths so that some are traded for more convenient ones, or appealing ones, or comfortable ones, etc. Eclecticism is that fragmentation of one's truths so that one begins to wonder what the hell one actually really knows. Inculcation is the ownership of the responsibility one now has that comes with wisdom. It is not just something that makes one special, or unique and different. Does this help? [Maureen] Yes it does, Thanks Michael MEntity: We can take one more question, but we must conclude after that. [GeraldineB] As Sage-casted Sage in the 4th Old Soul Level, I can't distinguish which plays a bigger role in my near obsession with truth. In fact, I can see this as a problem with all Old Sages. How do Sages validate being Old Soul vs other Soul Ages? MEntity: Sages tend to always be focused on some exploration and play with the "truth," but it is in the Old Soul Age that INTEGRITY and truth become synonymous. Another way to put this is that honesty becomes priority. By the time one is an Old Soul, or an Old Sage, the spectrum of definition for "the truth" is well-known and understood, so it becomes far more important to the Sage that there is integrity and honesty in one's truth, whatever that truth may be. This sense of honesty and integrity becomes extremely nuanced and sensitive to the Old Sage. More accurate meaning can often be found between the words and behaviors of others than the Sage often cares to deal with, but it grows like a "sixth sense." Does this help? [GeraldineB] Yes -- especially belief systems MEntity: That is one way for how the Old Sage can validate his Old Soulness: the sense of priority for Integrity and Honesty. [GeraldineB] When that is all one has, it's all one knows. [GeraldineB] so, it's not really a validation MEntity: To match that internal validation, it can also be of help to observe or be open to the feedback from others about one's own integrity and honesty. These may tend to be prominent areas of discussion, challenges, or sensitivity from others for the Sage, as well. For many Old Sages, this is a familiar area of defense because others may bring it up about the Sage, as well, in some way. We can elaborate on each Role within the Soul Ages in further exchanges.

    The 7th Level Teaches

[Excerpted from a private session posted by Diane on May 23, 2016.] Diane: It is interesting to me that I have had a lot of level 7 souls around me in primary relationships. My late husband, mature 7, oldest son young 7, youngest son mature 7 and my sister Maureen old 7. What is the significance? MEntity: They are your teachers. 7th Level fragments tend to be in some position of influence, even if only passively. Each has a kind of teaching to offer, and you can learn from each in some way that is beneficial, either in terms of what to do, or not to do. The theme of study from the influences of these teachers appears to be a kind of "BE WHERE YOU ARE" thread. Each appears to exemplify a sense of allowing themselves to be where they are at the moment, in terms of self-development and growth. It is not that they do not strive for more, but that there is no apology for where they are in that progress. This is part of what you seek to learn. ### Note: You can comment on this material within the original post. See Essence Report - Q&A My Youngest Son.
  7. OMW - Jan 12, 2013 - Checking In With Essence Channel: Troy Tolley [CocteauBoy] Okay, so today's topic is CHECKING IN WITH ESSENCE. [CocteauBoy] I thought this would be a good subject to explore because we tend to think of a new year as a turning point where we review where we've been, and look ahead at where we'd like to go. [Maureen] Will it be interactive Troy? [CocteauBoy] It's not that Essence is something separate from us, but that we (as personality) are a PART of Essence, so there is some sense of identity that is monadic (two parts that intrinsically create the whole). [CocteauBoy] So "checking in with Essence" we can think of it as checking in with something beyond ourselves, or as checking in with ourselves in a different way than usual, or whatever works for you. CocteauBoy asks - FIRST QUESTIONS: What does it mean to you to "check in with Essence," and why did this title for the workshop interest you? What do you expect to gain from this workshop? [CocteauBoy] Answer as you like... [Janet_] You mean, like, right now? [Martha] I think I do it a lot, but I think I could do it better [CocteauBoy] Janet, yeah! [Janet_] Like Martha, I think I do this, but it is hit or miss. [CocteauBoy] I want to read where each of you are with the idea, and what you thought this workshop might produce for you, before going into trance. [Martha] it's hard to tell "me" from "Essence", would like more of a sense of a conversation [AnnH] Because I don't think I'm all that good at checking in with Essence and would like to be more aware of it. [Nadine_AP] I thought it would be a good idea to keep in check while working through my 4th IM [GeraldineB] I've read and reread most of the articles on a Conscious Connection to Essence; however, I still consider it a whole lot like "praying," i.e., it's not an interactive process, I don't get feedback. So, it's like talking to thin air. [AnnH] (Exactly, Martha) [CocteauBoy] Make sure you read the question. It's not an assessment. [AnnH] Also, because it would be fun. I think my Essence is fun when I get tiny glimpses. [Janet_] I'm hoping for suggestions on how to more reliably check in and know I'm in contact. [Maureen] I see it Essence and Personality like a continuing discourse -- listening and talking. So I guess checking in with Essence would be to stop for a minute and and see where we are at. -- as a "team". [GeraldineB] Well, I'm trying to explain that this would be my "goal" or interest -- a sense of genuine interaction. [Bobby] Frequently, I'll be involved in something and will just say "oh, LET'S see where this goes" as in Let Us, me and Essence [Nadine_AP] Same as Janet and Geraldine, I would be able to make a more conscious connection, too [Diane_HB] I suppose I check in with Essence quite often, but I'd like to hear what suggestions Michael has on the subject. [Nadine_AP] *would like to be able [Bobby] I like to think of it as a partnership but like Geraldine suggested, one of the partners is blind, deaf, and mute :-) [ClaireC] I'd like to be able to truly differentiate between what the CF's are saying versus Essence feedback. [GeraldineB] I think I do pick up a fair amount of contact information through intuition, but I don't know where I end and Essence begins [CocteauBoy] I'll bring in Michael for the rest of this workshop now. If you have more to write, you can keep sharing as I go into trance. Have a great session, you guys! * CocteauBoy is bringing in Michael now... * CocteauBoy is now known as MEntity [MEntity] *********** [MEntity] The concept of "Essence" or a soul is one that is quite complicated for most who are extant, even when one is fully embracing of the general concept. [MEntity] When one is Infant, the lines between Essence and Personality are so blurred that there is no differentiation. When one is Baby, the concept is so skewed that Personality becomes the main navigator. When one is Young, the rejection of Essence is so strong, it does not matter much. [MEntity] When one is Mature, the concept is revisited through experimentation and intensities that promote a return to the blurring of differentiation. [MEntity] When one is Old, there is an eventual state that has no blurring, no skewing, and no rejection. One simply IS. [MEntity] Everything outside of that is imprinting. [MEntity] For the Old Soul, the wholeness that is Essence and Personality is inherent. To sustain a differentiation takes effort, requires lies, and feels painful in both tangible and vague ways. [MEntity] For the Old Soul, the effort to sustain a differentiation between Essence and Personality is the equivalent of trying to imagine NOTHING. Personifying Essence as something seperate from you can be useful, beneficial, and insightful, but only temporarily. To presume a personification of Essence as separate from you is like trying to sustain a the concept of Nothingness. [MEntity] If you try to imagine nothing, you imagine SOMETHING. [MEntity] You imagine something as representative of nothing. [MEntity] That is because there is no state of nothingness in the known Planes and Universes. It can only be represented, symbolically conceptualized, and usually only in comparison to something. [MEntity] The concept of Essence is similar. It never was NOT "you." It was never separate. It can never be rejected. It was always "you." [MEntity] We speak often of Essence and Personality being "separate" for the sake of learning and teaching about the various dimensions of "you," but this is no different from helping you understand how your hand functions during rehabilitation, even as your hand was always connected and a part of the whole of your body. [MEntity] The more your hand can function effectively, the more it is a part of the whole of the body. The more your Personality functions effectively, the more it is aligned with the whole of Essence. [MEntity] However, just as you focus your attention on the rehabilitation of the hand through exercises, experiences, rest, stretching, etc., it is that very "you" that transcends the divide between hand and body, between Personality and Essence. [MEntity] Because Essence is a spectrum that ranges across all Planes, Times, and Bodies, the necessity for focus is vital for the continual reawakening process, or "rehabilitation" of parts, if you will. Every lifetime is a part of the body of Essence. [MEntity] In some lifetimes, that focus is intense and myopic. In other lifetimes that focus is expansive and multidimensional. [MEntity] Relatively speaking, the Old Soul, extant, exhausts the body trying sustain differentiation of Essence from Personality. This is from the vast ocean of imprinting available from the Physical Plane about the concept of Essence, or soul. It ranges from being outrageously omnipotent and perfectly knowing, to being parental and absolute in guidance, to being non-existent. [MEntity] One thing that rarely has the same appeal and embrace is the idea that Essence... is "just you." [MEntity] In all of your mistakes, fears, cravings, longings, excitement, desires, appetites, pride, aloneness, joy, intimacy, distance, beauty, plainness, extravagance, indulgance, restraint, sadness, happiness, failing, successes, etc. YOU are Essence. [MEntity] From the perspective of Essence, the experiences of the Physical Plane and body are never NOT new. It may have experienced sadness a million times, but this does not mean it transcends the experience of sadness. No matter how many times a hand may touch HOT, it will always be HOT. [MEntity] Consider that no matter how many times you touch HOT within a lifetime, it will always be HOT, and always a new HOT; t is still always HOT, and always NEW. For Essence, across a multitude of bodies, that experience is never old, and never not true, and never not meaningful. [MEntity] This is the same of your experiences beyond mere touch. [MEntity] The only difference in your experience is your focus. [MEntity] When you first touch HOT, it may seem the end of the world, but when you have touched it a thousand times, it is still HOT, but you know you will survive. You know it is temporary. You know it is a natural part of experience. You know it is informative. You know. [MEntity] Expand upon this and you have your phases of depression, your phases of joy, your phases of intimacy, your phases of aloneness, lifetimes of suffering, your lifetimes of bliss, and Essence grows to know that it can survive it all, learn from it, and always gain from the experience. Always. [MEntity] By the time you are an Old Soul, you know this, too. And it gets harder to not know this. [MEntity] Because, by now, you know: You Are Essence. [GeraldineB] Question: If we are Essence, then why would we need to check in? [MEntity] You can pretend, imagine, lie, presume, fantasize, romanticize, and fragment yourself as Essence, but you will still know. [MEntity] Geraldine, Troy described the topic for our discussion with you; we are prompted by that description. We do not hand these topics to Troy. He decides upon them from his own ideas and perceptions. [GeraldineB] [laughing] OK [MEntity] However, we will return to that description in a moment, as it is relevant. [GeraldineB] Nevermind the interruption :) [Martha] ha h aha [MEntity] However focused one may be within Personality, one is always Essence. Even "the worst" of peoples. This is because Essence is vastly inclusive and incapable of truly rejecting experiences that parts of itself (Personality) bring to it. [MEntity] To presume that one person is not of Essence over another is like a fish judging another fish for not being of the same body of water. To try to convince someone of Essence, then, instead of allowing for their own growth and awakening, is about as useful as a fish trying to get another fish wet. [MEntity] "Checking in" with Essence is a valid phrase to consider while within a lifetime and body because most forms of "checking in" only occur in death. Death is the ultimate "checking in." [AnnH] lol [GeraldineB] Good Ole 7th IM [MEntity] As you embrace the idea of your being Essence, you will find that the phrase of "checking in with Essence" means something even more profound that previously romanticized. It is a checking in with yourself. [MEntity] This may not be as romantic as the idea of checking in with some higher parental guidance and force that is laced with religious and cultural imprinting, but it is far more profound and empowering. It is the ultimate responsibility for your life, your choices, you. [MEntity] Before we continue: How do you feel or think about this ownership of Essence as YOU, with Personality merely being a focus, instead of as a concept of being a flailing fragment tethered to omnipotence? [Martha] "flailing fragment tethered to omnipotence" lol [Martha] I do feel comfortable with it [GeraldineB] Well, I accept that fragment is a part of Essence, is the spiritual body, but I don't quite understand how Essence can be ME and still not be tuned into whatever I'm doing [Nadine_AP] It feels right. [Martha] I feel like Essence IS tuned in, but I don't feel much of a sense of conversation, other than just talking to myself [GeraldineB] Well, it's the paradox of Personality having all choice, not Essence . . they design, we dispose. [Janet_] I am comfortable about the concept. [Diane_HB] I think this is a much more peaceful concept than thinking of myself or others as separate from Essence. [AnnH] What Martha said. [MEntity] Geraldine: what makes you think Essence is not tuned in to "whatever you are doing?" [GeraldineB] If they are tuned in, I wouldn't need to review or check-in [MEntity] Geraldine, this presumption would not be true. [MEntity] Even while in a body, stretches of time can pass where you were fully engaged in your day, but if we were to ask you about a specific day and what meal you had on that day, or what someone said to you that day, or what tv show was watched on a certain day and time, you may not be able to call up that memory to save your life, so to speak, even though "you were there." [MEntity] However, you may find that you remember entire experiences from even further back in time. [MEntity] This is the difference between "checking in" and not. [GeraldineB] Do you mean that checking in is actually a way of accessing forgotten memories? [MEntity] Your brain will continue to store all experiences, from the most minute to the most profound. Your Essence absorbs all experiences for the Akashic Records, like a brain for the soul, but what matters to it is "remembered," and this can be enhanced through "checking in." [Maureen] I never feel disconnected from Essence. When I feel separate is when I know "I" am making a conscious choice to disregard Essence for awhile. When I do that I feel like a kid who wants to experience something on her own -- without any "influence". [MEntity] Checking in can help recall, but we prefer the term to be thought of less as a tool, and more of as a state. [MEntity] By this we mean: [MEntity] When you feel disconnected from Essence, in need of guidance, support, etc, that you not dismiss YOU as the greatest force behind your own life, choices, feelings, memories, plans, etc. but that you "check in" with yourself, allow for all of the feelings and fears, but not at the expense of your power, force, presence, and wholeness. [MEntity] Wholeness allows for all of it, so fear and panic do not need to be rejected for wholeness to return. Ironically, in the embrace of your wholeness and power, the fear tends to dissipate, transform. [MEntity] Checking in with Essence is a return to you. A recollection of the fragmentation of your mind, your heart, and even your body. [GeraldineB] this makes sense to me [MEntity] It is a moment, a practice, and eventually a state, that makes room for all of it without forgetting. It is ownership of your KNOWING. [MEntity] Your fragmentation, your fear, is merely forgetfullness. [MEntity] You cannot UN-know, but you can forget. [MEntity] Checking in is a practice in remembering. [MEntity] Keep in mind: [MEntity] In the same way that you do not have to consciously breath, neither do you have to presume that your knowing, your embrace of self as Essence, means having conscious access to all that is Essence. The hand does not have to understand the eye for itself to work, and the eye does not have to control metabolism for it to work, and metabolism does not have to know how to walk for the body to move, and so on. [MEntity] However, no part can be said to function independently of the whole that is the body. [MEntity] And so it is for you, as a part of all that is Essence. The hand is itself and does its own thing that the eye cannot, and the body, as a whole, gains from functioning of the hand. The hand, then, for its best and highest functioning, would consider itself as the whole, even if not completely aware and monitoring of all of the parts. To presume itself cut off, or to not consider the whole, is akin to being numb, or amputated, which benefits neither the hand or the body. [MEntity] The more you own your part in the body of Essence, the more the whole and all of its parts functions and benefits. [MEntity] This ownership of remembering, responsibility, power, presence, and wholeness is more than half of the battle for getting the best out of your life, healing the past, and creating the future. [MEntity] Before we move on, we will open the floor to your comments and questions regarding what has been shared, so far. [MEntity] ****** [Diane_HB] This makes sense to me. I have been moving toward this perspective in some ways. [Diane_HB] And, I check in with myself fairly frequently. I don't feel "myself" if I don't. [Maureen] You are right Michael -- in that people are often looking for omnipotence or some woowoo with Essence when actually Essence can be quite quiet and will "come to you" when you are still or "in the moment". [MEntity] The search for Essence is much like the search for a lost pair of sunglasses that are later found to be on your head. [Diane_HB] lol [Maureen] LOL [Martha] :) [Diane_HB] I know what that's like. :) [Nadine_AP] lol [AnnH] heh [Maureen] I'm getting a 3D Deja Vu on the sunglasses -- maybe I dreamed about this last night. [Bobby] Is any fragmentation caused if you imagine the relationship as a partnership? [MEntity] Bobby, as you may have come to see over time, the concept of "fragmentation" is even more of an illusion (a useful one, but an illusion, still the same) than the concept that one is seperate from Essence. To personify Essence can be helpful, even if as a temporary illusion. Dreams are illusions, but the symbolism is incredibly useful. Illusions (and fragmentation) are not to be thought of as things to avoid, but tools for use as necessary. When they are considered conclusive, then they can become problematic. [MEntity] Fragmentation is merely scattered foci. [MEntity] Illusions are merely symbolic extensions. [MEntity] Both are useful and important. [MEntity] Neither can sustain continuity or existence for long, relatively speaking. [MEntity] We highly recommend personifying Essence, particularly so if one can do so while holding the contradictory notion that it is not separate. [MEntity] We can recommend this, because Essence already does this. In being you, in the first place. [GeraldineB] Sparky! [Bobby] :-) [MEntity] And it is the nature of Tao. Our fragmentation from Tao is a profoundly beautiful and useful illusion, and all of our bodies through the planes are always creative personifications of our most current idea of who we are. [MEntity] The differences in higher planes is that we have learned to enjoy it more, to allow it, and to know that all of it changes. [MEntity] Your body, no matter how battered, worn, sick, suffering, pleasured, fat, skinny, ugly, beautiful, is your own idea, given form. All descriptions of our body that are born of comparison are as superficial and temporary as a preference for chocolate over vanilla, or one brand over another. [MEntity] Those preferences are meaningful and provide their own part in the dance of experience, but they will never supercede the perfection of reflection. [MEntity] This is not to say that one must accept his or her lot in life with the body that one has, but that the dance that your body prompts is far more relevant than your preoccupation with it for comparison. [MEntity] It is not YOUR Body. It is YOU. [MEntity] It is not YOUR Essence. It is YOU. [MEntity] Checking in with Essence, then, is the embrace of yourself as part of the bridging of all of these parts. [MEntity] If you are in this particular workshop, you are probably "done" with the distraction of fragmentation and the weight of being bothered with superficial comparisons. You know this. You cannot un-know it. But remembering this, and returning yourself from forgetfullness, is something you must take on as your responsibility from here. [MEntity] This is where this teaching is intended to help move your consciousness. Not just toward the novelty and brief comforts of remembering, but toward your capacity to live in that remembering, in your knowing. In Essence. [Martha] Sounds like vividry [MEntity] Here are three things that you can note to yourself as phrases for sustaining your wholeness, and allowing for everything to exist within that: [MEntity] When you feel ugly, fearful, anxious, upset, angry, helpless, lonely, etc. we suggest that you embrace those things, but always along with the phrase, "It is okay for me to forget for a while." [MEntity] This conscious embrace of forgetfullness does two things: relieves you of the internal conflict of fighting against those natural reactions, feelings, and thoughts so that they can move through like thunder clouds in the sky of who you are, but also, ironically, keeps you from actually forgetting. [MEntity] On a daily basis, at various points in the day, when nothing in particular is happening, it can be helpful to state out loud, or internally: "I remember now: I like me." [MEntity] This simple phrase can do two things, as well: it can bring a moment of remembering and awareness, of course, but it can also be a confession against all of your imprinting and superficialities of being bad, wrong, ugly, too fat, too thin, too alone, not enough, etc. This confession is more truthful than any of those things. [MEntity] You may only barely like yourself, and you can always like yourself more and more as you aim for agape, but if you are breathing, you like yourself enough, to some small degree, and this outweighs all of the "bullshit." [MEntity] We pause now to ask each of you to answer this question as sincerely and as honestly as you feel inclined: DO YOU LIKE YOU? [Diane_HB] YES!! [Maureen] YES!! [Janet_] I do like me. [GeraldineB] Yes, I do! [AnnH] For the most part. [ClaireC] Yes. [AnnH] Actually, I get a big kick out of myself. [Bobby] I will say it's much easier when everything is not taken so seriously :-) [Nadine_AP] yes, i do [Martha] Yes! [MEntity] We only ask this question to help you in seeing if you prefer forgetting over remembering. You would not be in this workshop, studying our teaching, wishing for more people to accept you, trying to accept others, standing up against injustices, moved by suffering, aiming for higher visions, etc, if you did not like yourselves to some great extent. [MEntity] Everything beyond your liking yourself is a lie, is imprinting, is useless for anything more than information about how to make your next choices and decisions. [MEntity] The third suggestion of phrasing that we can offer, then, is that part of your remembering include that it is okay that others may also tend to forget. Just like you do. Even more so, that many have not even remembered, yet. They may not know, like you do. [MEntity] "The more often I remember, the more often others can know." [MEntity] This is because you are the trainer of your reality, which is just to say that you are the one who chooses how you experience EVERYTHING. There are no exceptions. You may not be able to choose everything that happens to you, but you will always have the choice in what that means for you, and how you experience it. [MEntity] The more often you forget, the more likely your world is experienced as forgetful. [MEntity] The more often you pretend to not like yourself, the more likely you would keep others from their opportunity to like you. [MEntity] The more often you presume that others must remember and know as you do, the more you are forgetting, and making excuses for your forgetting. [Maureen] Michael -- so Alex Jones and Larry Pratt have just forgotten who they are? How can we see them as "Essence"? [AnnH] hrh [AnnH] heh [Martha] hahaha [MEntity] Maureen: there must be a remembering and knowing before there can be a forgetting. [Maureen] so their forgetting is a choice to forget -- with Essence "on board" with Personality? [Maureen] just like it is for the "rest" of us? [MEntity] The inherent nature of fragmentation, personification, and the Physical Plane, in particular, is amnesia. Evolution is a process of remembering. Forgetfullness, in higher terms, is a defense against responsibility and ownership. [MEntity] Every lifetime is a practice in remembering. Every death is a practice in "checking in." [AnnH] I love that. [MEntity] Your notions that a "bad guy" is less Essence than that of a "good guy" is based on a romantic idea that Essence is already "good." It is not. It simply IS. It goes through its processes of growth just as an individual personality does. That is why we describe Soul Ages. [MEntity] Soul Age describes where one is in the capacity for remembering while in a body. [GeraldineB] And the circle is rejoined and completed [MEntity] It also describes where Essence is in its capacity to remember its path home. [GeraldineB] OH . . .please expand on that [MEntity] Or rather, that it never left home/Tao. [MEntity] Soul Age is a description of the process from fragmentation toward reunion. [MEntity] Keep in mind that horrific personalities and the choices they make are not much different to the body of an Essence than one's choice in diet while in a body. The soul is omnivorous. It can survive the most toxic of experiences. The personality is the feeder of Essence. [MEntity] Your choices, and interpretations of experience, feed Essence, feed you. In much the same way that your realizations of what you eat actually do matter to your body, so do the Personalities, eventually, with their ever-growing capacity for remembering, begin to choose more consciously as to what its diet of experience is. [MEntity] So it is fair and useful to "see" the Essence of even the most hurtful of people, because your remembering of their soul helps. Your condemnation is pointless. Remembering the Essence of any individual is not the same thing as conceding to their actions and impact. It simply gives you a broader footing for what choices you will make, yourself. [MEntity] All of what we shared today helps in your creation of your next moment. And as you can see from where you are in your life right now, those moments add up. They become your life. [Maureen] ...I can do that. Thanks for helping me remember more Micheal :) [Maureen] (my comment was related to seeing other people's Essences...) [MEntity] And your life is no different from your body. It is something that benefits from your compassion and embrace, not your comparisons for condemnations. Your experiences of your life are your own idea and feelings, given form (interpretation) across time, in memory, and in motivation. It is Good Work to see your Essence across all of this, to see you, in everything. [MEntity] Today, in this workshop, if you have been engaged, you have "checked in" with Essence. [MEntity] While we did not share the words in this exchange with you merely to elicited comforting feelings, we did share them with you so that you can remember that you CAN be comfortable in your skin, in your body, in your life, in Essence. When you just take a moment to remember. To check in. [MEntity] And you did not have to die, to do so. [Martha] whew [Diane_HB] Heheh [Nadine_AP2] hahaha [Nadine_AP2] yeah, good. [GeraldineB] Neither did Ann when she changed Soul Levels [AnnH] hahaha [AnnH] Not this time, anyway. [GeraldineB] Maybe that was the real purpose of doing it . . .to experience brith / death / brith while conscious [AnnH] yes, I think so [MEntity] We will conclude with one last consideration: [MEntity] Remembering others, even when they forget themselves, is healing, is helpful, is meaningful. It is not lost on them, even if you cannot see proof of that. [MEntity] This is why we "came back" to teach. [MEntity] Because we remembered you, too. [MEntity] Everyone will inherently, eventually, remember "everything," but it helps if there is someone who remembers what you forgot. [MEntity] Or what you do not even know, yet. [MEntity] Good day to each of you.
  8. ENERGY REPORT NOVEMBER 2012 November comes in with a fairly clear dance of symbols representing the collective fear explored this year as Stubbornness. Though not shaking the fear of change (stubbornness), these symbols do appear to be telling a story of a collective move away from that fear, by focusing on the Positive Pole (determination), and leaving the Negative Pole (Obstinance) to be emphasized by fewer in the population. As we described in our previous report, Stubbornness is showing up as a defense of one’s beliefs, philosophies, and stances, because these feel threatened. When the Negative Pole is at work, these beliefs, philosophies, and stances are entrenched, with no room for change, updating, adjustment, healing, etc., but when the Positive Pole is at work, there is still a concern about threat, but these beliefs, philosophies, and stances are held, not entrenched. There comes to be some flexibility, some room for negotiation, some sense that there is more to be considered beyond the cherished beliefs, philosophies, and stances. This Determination was exemplified by responses to the weather system named “Sandy.” Those who were entrenched in certain beliefs found they were thrown into a scenario that encouraged them to loosen these beliefs, making room for alternatives that were discovered to have never been a threat in the first place. Determination allows one to cling to the fight against change, but it allows in the reality of it. Obstinance clings to the fight against change, and does so against all indications that change is very real. If beliefs might be represented by a pillow, Determination tucks the pillow under his arm and moves forward, while Obstinance buries his face in it. As mentioned in our previous report, another way to understand these Poles is that Determination tends to have to work around other people, while Obstinacy forces others to work around oneself. The United States’ election is another symbolic exploration of Stubbornness, and where the country is (and relevant parts of the world are) in terms of feeling threatened by change. More Obstinacy will tend to be amplified in this arena, because Politics is all about beliefs, philosophies, and stances. In this election, we are seeing a sharp divide between those in Obstinance, and those in Determination, but most will be dealing with the threat of change. An aside: Though neither pole of any Chief Negative Feature is “good,” we can say that the Positive Pole is “positive” because it is often the way out of the fear. Most of November is likely to feel to many as if it is “out of their hands,” and in the hands of others to some degree that is uncomfortable, to say the least, so we expect that many will not only feel as if November is like an out-of-control tumble down a hillside (which can be fun, or terrifying), but many will also slide into Impatience and Martyrdom on the other side of the November 7th Nexus. We mentioned in our previous report that a great deal of introspection and extrospection was in order for November not to feel as if it were a drive off of a cliff, and we see that few found a balance between those extremes. This means that, even for those who did find that balance, “the world” may still seem out of sync and chaotic for a while. For those who wish to bring a quality of centering to their days, their bodies, emotions, choices, perspectives, etc., it may mean making an active effort to JUST STOP. By this, we mean that you may have to sit yourselves down, stop your body, your mind, your emotions, and call upon a stillness, a meditative state. For those who are resistant to stillness, give yourself 5 true seconds of stillness, and then release yourself. Double that within the hour. Add 5 more when you can, so that you are still for 15 seconds, and so on. Do this until you can sustain a valid state of stillness for, at least, 30 seconds. The next day, start with those 30 seconds. Then add 30 more, and so on, until you can sustain a valid state of stillness for 5 minutes. Continue to build upon this at your pace, and the stillness will become as natural as the hurricane of thoughts, emotions, and actions that might normally manage or affect your days. “Valid stillness” here is meant to describe a state of permission for everything you feel, think, and do, but as an observer of those feelings, thoughts, and actions. Eventually, this state of “observer” can carry over into your days so that you can call upon that stillness, that state of observation and clarity, that allows you to move with change. We point out the aim of stillness to be toward observation because this year is one that is fairly permeated with the Mode of Passion. In the same way that Observation Mode can “slide” to access any other Mode, so can any Mode “slide” to access Observation. This is true of any Assimilative Overleaf. The Assimilative Overleaf is accessible to each Axis. With Passion permeating this year, it can be easy for many to lose their sense of self in events and experiences, or to become overly-identified with those events and experiences. Observation can help to honor the negative pole of the spectrum of Passion (identification), while helping to bring some inclusion of the positive pole (self-actualization). Helpful thoughts over NOVEMBER might be: TRUE CHANGE IS A MATTER OF PERSPECTIVE Over the course of November, it can be helpful to remember that change really only happens in perspective. DATES OF INTEREST NOVEMBER 7th - NEXUS (convergence) - the storm that resulted from the divergent Nexus on the 25th of October helped to move those who were tired of the Negative Pole of Obstinance over to more of a “positive” state of Determination, and this second “great storm” of the collective psyches may do the same, but on a greater scale, and in more convergent terms, as the United States’ election unfolds. We cannot predict results, and we can see many, but in nearly all of them, there is a “storm” that, eventually, brings about True Change, a paradigm shift that is collective again.
  9. Ingun posted this in a recent November Michael Speaks: "Maybe we could need an update from Michael through Troy on the worlds populations of Soul Ages and Roles... and what more? in these changing times. That may help us more easily read, interpret and understand the pictures and patterns changing and revealing themselves." To which I replied: "I think also, an idea of where large groups of nations are heading in terms of probabilities would be useful too." This could be further extrapolated to explore predominant energies described by popular Roles, Casting, Overleaves, Body Types, Fears, 9 Needs etc. in various nations and geographical regions and how those may manifest on such collective levels. It's been hinted at that collectives move through cycles of overleaves, just as they do on change(how change is implemented, often based upon popular roles), structure(how various divisions+classes contribute to the whole), community(how community is formed), progression(through soul age), economy & politics(soul age paradigm shifts) etc. And this could be a first step in exploring that, and may bring some true gems about the cycles of civilizations to light.

    Soul Ages

"Soul Age" describes one of the most immediately practical and useful aspects of Michael's body of information. The Soul Ages describe the very basic stages every soul will go through in the process of its evolution. Your Soul Age helps describe where you are in that process. Soul Ages can also help describe the average perspective of groups of people, communities, countries, etc. Understanding the Age of an Essence, or a group of Essences, can greatly increase your ability to be accepting, adaptable, compassionate, and constructive. Ironically, this part of the Teaching can also tend to be the most susceptible to abuse, misuse, and complete distortion among Students. Remember that the Soul Ages are not hierarchical and that one Soul Age is not better or worse than another. Before an Essence commits to a cycle of lives as a Human, it will go through a long process of energetically exploring the Earth and all of its kingdoms of life forms, along with all the other souls who are considering becoming Human. Some souls decide to move on to other planetary systems and some souls never even choose to incarnate. Since you are reading this, your Essence decided long, long ago that this planet and all it has to offer was just the right place for your adventures! The Essence enters its first lifetime! What happens next is an incredible journey of dedication, intensity, and adventure in the school of Earth and playground of life! Each lifetime gains more knowledge for the Essence and the use of that knowledge is continually improved upon when planning the next lifetimes. As the knowledge and experience grow, so does the maturity of the soul, and that maturity is described as a Soul Age. The progress through the Soul Ages is Essence-determined and no other Essence, or God, or Tao, or institution, or ANYTHING monitors your speed or level of growth. Your Essence is the only one who can determine when to move on, and how long to experience a Soul Age! There are 7 Soul Ages to the experiences of living life as a Human being. We will only cover 5 here as they are the most relevant to you in the beginning. There are 2 additional, extraordinary Soul Ages that are experienced after the completion of all of your lifetimes as an individual soul, but we will not cover these in the Basic Teachings. Each Soul Age can take as many lifetimes as the soul wants or needs to take, but there is an average of 49 lives per Soul Age. Infant, Baby, Young, Mature, and Old INFANT Infant Souls are those that are new to being in bodies and new to the planet. They are usually superstitious and fearful, choosing lifetimes set away from the chaos of modern life, or at least living separately from it, even if in the midst of it. The basic lessons of the Infant Soul are Survival. The lifetimes tend to be centered mostly on learning how to feed, clothe, and keep the body alive. Since the forests and other isolated areas of the world are all but gone, Infant Souls have fewer places to choose for being born and being "left alone"; therefore, they appear to be choosing to be born in more "concrete jungles" over the past 50 years or so. Infant Souls contribute to the rise in the homeless population in metropolitan areas as these souls are learning lessons of survival in the "new jungles". Infants can be as accomplished as anyone else, but there is an edge of instability and even insanity in their eyes. Most modern Infant Souls get into very big trouble, mostly through murders and breaking the civil, unspoken "rules" of a society. There are very few Infant Souls coming to this planet anymore since there are very few places left to incarnate without older soul ages interfering. The Infant Souls who are already committed to a cycle of lifetimes will tend to find it difficult to keep older soul ages from either exploiting them, or being compelled to rescue the Infant from its survival struggles. The Infant Soul Motto might be, "There is ME, and everything is just scary and threatening!" As the Infant begins to learn how to survive, it begins to seek experiences in groups, which leads them to the Baby Soul Age. BABY Baby Souls have fairly mastered the experiences of basic Survival and now seek experiences focused on how to behave in groups. Baby Souls gain experiences through supporting an authority, being civil, enforcing order, being clean, law-abiding, structured, etc. The development of most Religions is rooted in Baby Soul values and ideals. What better way to bring order to a large group of people and to encourage respect but through the mythologies of a vague, scary, parental God who can get angry and punish you if you misbehave? There are many forms of religion, of course, but one can see why Baby Souls would be drawn to this context. There is a security in the churches and the rules and laws are handed out by an unquestioned authority. Baby Souls will rarely question, they simply have the decisions handed to them from a trusted authority, which they will defend blindly. They do not ponder their individuality, except in terms of how they fit into the contexts handed down from an authority. All things based on order, structure and justice are Baby Soul concepts, like the library systems, judicial systems, and police forces. Baby's see the world only in terms of "ME, and NOT ME". This means if you are "NOT ME", you are wrong, bad, and possibly "going to hell". They see everything in terms of black and white, good and bad. Baby Soul's seek such order, it only makes sense to them that you behave within their own terms. Their world is strikingly "black and white", but as the soul grows through the Baby stage, it begins to gain an individual identity, which leads to the Young Soul Age. YOUNG Young Souls have learned all they can from being civil and listening to authority. This Age is like the adolescence of Soul Ages. The Young Soul seeks recognition, fame, excitement, stimulation, material rewards, and they are highly competitive. This is where the soul begins to indulge in the physical plane and really get into some trouble and adventures! This Soul Age tends to be the least spiritual, though they will use religious or spiritual groups for networking or help to maintain a position of authority over other people. It can be very difficult for a Young Soul to be spiritually conscious since the focus is so strongly on being as physical as possible. Young Souls are gaining experiences about individuality, self-expression, competition, self-sufficiency, strength, abundance, endurance, and prestige. They see the world in terms of "there are you and me and I am going to win." When an Essence has indulged in the physical plane, experienced all its riches, there will come a point of realization that "there is more to life than this", and that is the step toward the Mature Soul Age. MATURE Mature Souls have learned all they could from having everything they have ever wanted; they've been rich, been recognized, and extracted whatever they thought was important to obtain from the physical plane. Once they have all of that experience, the soul and personality figuratively look around and say, "now what?" It starts to seek experiences focused on emotional connections and spiritual intimacy, wholehearted trust. The Mature Soul finally confronts the internal sense of separation gained during the Young Soul Age and begins to reach out to others in pain. Most Mature Souls find intimacy through the sharing of intensity and emotions, seeking others who can identify with such personal, inner struggle. Mature Souls are the most intense and dramatic about life, which helps encourage the questions of "who am I?" and "Why am I here?" They begin to turn away from organized religion, preferring a more personal spirituality. They begin to recognize the sources of pain and oppression in society and seek to alleviate those influences in any way; therefore, the Mature Soul actively supports some form of "Rights", such as Gay Rights, Animal Rights, fights against Apartheid and Child Abuse, etc. They crave closeness and meaning in their life. This Age is where the soul begins to want to contribute and "count" for something. The Mature Soul sees the world as "there are you and me and I know how you feel." Many of the Students of the Michael Teaching who are drawn to this teaching are somewhere in their Mature Soul cycle. When the Mature Soul has begun to soften its boundaries, has forged some profoundly intimate relationships, and has built a sense of inner security and peace, that soul then begins to feel a gentle, but haunting, pull to find what feels like "home", and they know it isn't "here". OLD Old Souls now have gained the experiences to help them discover where they fit in, who they love, and they have answered some important questions about why they exist and "who" they are. They now begin to question everything on a larger scale. "Where do we all fit into the scheme of things?" "How does reality work?" "What is Love?" "How do I get Home?" The Old Soul feels a strange sense of being "tired", and knows that one of the last profound experiences will be in finally, utterly, accepting and loving this world, the people in it, and everything about it; the experience of truly unconditional Love. More difficult than discovering a Love for the world, is the final, most difficult experience of all,... the Love of You. That experience can be most terrifying because Old Souls have glimpsed the magnitude of the vastness of the Universe across all of their lifetimes and they realize their tiny place in it. The Old Soul begins to sense a need to understand what I like to call "home"; a vague place that is obviously "not here", but truly a place of oneness with the universe and life. They begin feeling a deep recognition of other people that is not limited by the current lifetime. Old Souls can see the entirety of a person, "remembering" other people from other lifetimes. A challenge for the Old Soul is to now draw wisdom from their souls, using the knowledge gained across all of their own lifetimes, and understand how to live and communicate with all other Soul Ages. They begin seeing past the veil that separates the Physical from the Non-Physical, which draws the Old Soul to mystical and profound spiritual experiences. Eventually, the Old Soul learns to experience life with a uniquely balanced sense of awe and familiarity, as it experiences its last lifetimes and seeks reunion with their spiritual family. A SPECIAL NOTE on Older Souls and "status": Some people may think that those who are claiming to be "Old Souls" are delusional, misinformed, and/or saying they are Old Souls just for attention or status. This is ironic because the people who are overly concerned with this subject are unwittingly revealing that they are the ones who actually interpret Soul Age as a status symbol. A truly Old Soul is not going to be preoccupied with status and labels. It has been said that if an Old Soul were told he is a Young Soul, he would ponder the possibility, but if a Young Soul is told he is a Young Soul, his defenses go up because there are obviously "better", "more advanced" Soul Ages. Soul Age is meaningless as a status symbol to those who study this Teaching as a means to gain an understanding of themselves and others. If someone really is claiming to be "old" as a way to seem better than someone else, you probably won't see them around this Teaching very long, anyway. Using Soul Age as a status symbol would only make sense if all of the students saw that term as indicating one soul age being better than another soul age, but the foundation of the Michael Teachings makes it extremely difficult to maintain that kind of superficial comparison. Another important consideration: Some students have a stereotypical interpretation of how an Old Soul "should" behave or not behave, describing how an Old Soul should feel or express himself, etc. The point that these people are missing is that the reality of being an Older Soul is that you have all other Soul Ages under your belt of experiences! This means you do have more flexibility in choosing how to behave, how to express yourself, what tools to draw from, etc. There will be times when an Old Soul appears to be a Young Soul, simply because he can or needs to use that aspect of himself. In the same way that a physically-aged Adult of 40+ years old can get rejuvenated and heal by playing like a child (or with a child) in that child's games, so can an Old Soul play the Young Soul games, if necessary. Being an Old Soul doesn't mean you avoid material security, living hand to mouth, resisting technological advances, and sit around philosophizing while waiting to die. In fact, since the Old Soul has all of those lives under the belt, it draws strength and wisdom from ALL levels and seeks to LIVE more fully! That means that an Old Soul may just WANT to play out a Mature Soul drama, or have a business that succeeds like a Young Soul, or draw from the Baby Soul experiences as a means to have order and respect within a household and family, and sometimes the Old Soul just might get silly and free with the Infant Self through dancing and drinking! The whole POINT of getting to a place where you are an Old Soul is that you have gained the perspective of each previous Soul Age and can use those perspectives as you wish! Musical Chairs I'd like to share an analogy that helps you to keep in perspective that the Soul Ages are NOT better or worse. Imagine you walk into a room with a stage in the center and 5 chairs all set up in a large circle, all facing the stage, and there is a lot of activity on the Stage for you to watch! The first chair in the circle can be likened to the Infant Soul Age. It's the first time in the room, it's the first time you are seeing the stage, so you sit and stare and fidget and observe and get as comfortable as you can. You watch the Play, but you also look around the room and shift in your own chair, nervous, but getting adjusted, and not really knowing what is going on. At some point, you begin to understand that the key is in sitting still, watching the play, and gaining some insight that way. You then move to the next chair. Now you are in a new position in the same room with the same stage with the same play. BUT, not only has your perspective changed but now that you understand where to focus, this makes the play even more interesting! Someone else has now seated themselves in the chair you previously occupied. You do remember what the room and stage looked like from that previous chair, and what players you could see better, and what activity on which you got a better angle, but now you have a new perspective from your second chair! You can see things in the room you didn't notice before, you now see different props, etc., while the person in the first chair (your previous chair) is observing from the angle you originally had. From your position you now have the memory of the previous chair PLUS the experience of this newly seated perspective. The first person is not better or worse, only in that he/she is seeing the room, the stage, and the play, from a different chair! You now move to the third chair, the fourth chair, etc., all the while learning to see the room and stage and play from a new perspective while also retaining the perspective of the previous chairs occupied. It is important to note that all of the Soul Ages you have experienced (all of the chair perspectives that have come to pass) are now within your grasp to remember and draw from! It wouldn't be very appropriate to turn to the first chair while sitting in the third chair and scowl or judge them because they cannot see from your point in the circle. You, yourself, sat in that chair at one time, and though you gained what you gained from that chair, a new person may even notice things you completely missed, so there can always be something to learn from those sitting in positions you previously occupied. ALL Soul Ages can be recognized for what they are: a different point on the same circle. Your point in the circle has as its capacity for understanding and showing compassion for the previous Soul Ages. For instance, a Baby Soul and an Old Soul in an argument will mean that the Old Soul may have to draw from his/her Baby Soul skills to help the situation along. The Baby Soul has not had the experiences of seeing the "room" from the same place as you, but you can remember what the room might be like for the Baby. This does not make the Older soul better than the Baby Soul, any more than an Adult is better than a Child, but one simply has the ability to be more responsible and adaptable, if he chooses. THE WORLD NOW If you look at the world in terms of the average Soul Age, you will see a much more interesting and compassionate picture than if you simply look at the world as a place of chaos, war, struggle, and division. Some populations will have a higher percentage of one Soul Age, which will give a culture or society a different environment and approach to life than another population. There are Young Soul societies, such as the United States, and there are Old Soul societies, as we can find in Holland. Within a Country, you will, of course, find "pockets" or communities of Soul Ages drawn together. The world is now officially and technically predominated by Mature Souls. This can be seen in the breaking down of boundaries and connecting of people all over the world with telephones, televisions, traveling faster, and even with the Internet. It can be seen in the Berlin Wall coming down, the environment being seen to be Global, not just local, it can be seen in the Human Rights Movements, Gay Rights, Animal Rights, Women's Rights, etc. Though the world is officially "Mature", the United States is just coming out of a long Young Soul phase and is slowly introducing the effects of a more Mature Soul mentality. There are still Young Souls in power making decisions that affect us, and even though it will take a while for Mature souls to find power and leadership appealing, they are making their way into these positions slowly.

5th Level of Any Soul Age

[Excerpt from Private Live Chat on July 31, 2012:] Maureen: interesting – XX was (maybe still is) very charismatic. Any comments on that? MEntity: The 5th Level for a fragment can bring great charisma out of the Personality, or great repulsion, depending upon how the Overleaves are manifesting. MEntity: The 5th Level helps one to push beyond limitations and boundaries, and this is done in either charming, provocative, and exciting ways, or in pushy, disruptive, and frustrating ways. [Excerpt from Private Live Chat on May 15, 2014:] Maureen: My old friend xxx (a Heart Link) was channeled as being a Level 5 Old Priest-cast Sage from C1E2. As “pushing boundaries” is not an apt description for her – is she more correctly at Level 4? MEntity: Soul Age and Level are often offered up as technical terms, but that does not mean one is behaving from that Age or Level. Soul Age and Level only describe the point of greatest evolution in perspective based on the previous life/lives. It does not always describe the current perspective and behavior. This fragment is Old, and has been for 4 Levels, so the "Old" part would likely be more apparent, but the incentive or motivation for pushing boundaries, stretching perspectives, etc. might either be missing in the current scenarios of this life, or they may not be obvious to you by your standards. The 5th Level can bring stretching and expansion that is entirely relative to the fragment, but subtle to others. MEntity: A fragment who has never had a lifetime where the life is devoted to the raising of children can look quite tame in terms of expansion, but for that fragment, it is entirely new territory.
  12. OMW - Mar 5, 2011 - Choice Vs Circumstances Troy Tolley, Michael Channel MEntity: Hello to all of you. We are here. We understand that we have been asked to discuss the sometimes-confusing subject of Choice, and how this may or may not conflict with the subject of Circumstances. First we will discuss the concept of Choice: this concept has been discussed to a great extent in our body of information, but much of the concept has been discussed in terms of its foundation, and not its "structure," so to speak. Choice is the most-powerful and immediate tool any consciousness has, and all forms of consciousness have Choice. That is an example of a foundational statement. This is a factual statement. But what is built upon that is often inaccurate and misleading. That fact that Choice is available to every fragment and every form of consciousness does not elaborate upon the DEGREE of Choice that a fragment or form of consciousness may have at its disposal. It also does not account for the degrees of consciousness that a fragment may have to have as a means to increase the capacity for choice. It also does not account for the restricting factors of any given life, relationship, or event. So the concept of choice becomes a painful, confusing, delusional, dishonest, and harmful structure built upon an empowering, clear, aware, honest and healing foundation. We clarify the difference between the "foundational" and the "structure" because there is no paradox and no conflict between the two, but when one is confused for the other, the conflicts and confusion can come. The concept that "All is Choice" is a foundational statement, but not a structural statement. ALL is Choice, but this does not elaborate upon the fact that there are variations on the dimensions of "you" who make these choices, and that while a choice may be made in one dimension, it is not one that is made in another. ALL is Choice, but this does not elaborate upon the fact that this is not a statement of permission, but a simple foundation of existence. It does not elaborate upon the evolution of choice-making, and that fragments learn how to choose in ways that match their growing consciousness and manifestation of Essence. This is why the choice between "murder" and "not murdering" becomes an easy choice as one evolves. So while "All is Choice," and "Choice is the most-powerful tool you have" are true, it will help to understand the structures that are built upon those concepts in varations that can make sense. All forms of consciousness have Choice, from the subatomic to the complexity of Sentience. The degree to which a consciousness is closer to Sentience is the degree to which that consciousness makes choices that range between atomic and anatomic, or put another way: in a range between reactionary to creative. Bacteria have Choice, but can only react to stimuli. Humans have Choice, and that can range between reaction to stimuli all the way to conscious, creative problem-solving and beyond. The more one only reacts to stimuli, the more one is bound by the atomic, or the lack of consciousness. The Soul Ages describe this process of learning how to choose, and choosing how to learn. The Soul Ages describe the widening range of realization for a Sentient Being to excercise its capacity for Choice. The Infant Soul does not have the same capacity for Choice as does an Old Soul. It must be LEARNED. And in a microcosmic reflection, the newborn child does not have the same capacity for choice that an adult has. The Old Soul child does not have the same capacity for choice that an Old Soul adult has. This is because that capacity must be REMEMBERED. The Internal Monads are a description of that remembering process. Every lifetime is a remembering process, and every new Soul Age is as well. Every new Soul Age is the equivalent of a new Personality, in many ways, because it is a new paradigm upon which the Essence must now build from an old paradigm. The first 3 Levels of any Soul Age, and the first 3 stages of the Internal Monads are entirely about regaining consciousness, or "remembering." The 4th Level/Stage is about the application and building upon that memory. The 5th is about the experimentation with those new structures; the 6th is about the integration of those experiments; and the 7th is the comprehension/archiving of all of the experiences gained across that Age or Lifetime or span of lifetimes. We share this with you because it is helpful to understand that process and why it is a part of our mapping of existence, but also because it can help you understand the spectrum that you may have as choice at any given time, in any given circumstance. CIRCUMSTANCES is a term that Troy chose, but we can work with this as a term that describes situations, scenarios, conditions, limitations, etc that appear to be, or are clearly beyond your control in any obvious way. CHOICE will ALWAYS exist in some form in ANY CIRCUMSTANCE. That range of choice will ALWAYS range between atomic to anatomic, or between reactionary to creative. It might even be fair to call the range as being between Reactionary to Conscious, and while that is fair, it is slightly misleading because there would still be some degree of consciousness to your reactionary choices. For instance, your compulsions: doing what you know you do not want to do, but doing it anyway. Compulsions are reactionary. Impulses are Creative. To return to the ideas of Foundation and Structure, like the statements about Choice, it would be true to say that one is born into Circumstances that are not the choices of the Personality, but that would be a foundational statement. It does not elaborate upon the fact that the Personality is a beautiful and brilliant extension of Essence who created the Personality through its capacity of choices, and that the circumstances were chosen as Essence's ideas for how best to explore the life as you. It could be argued, then, that the life is not "your" choice, and that would be true to some degree, but only as true as "you" are not manifesting or allowing Essence into the life. The more one aligns with Essence, manifests Essence, the more the life becomes a creative process, and not a pinball game of reaction to stimuli. Therefore, while Circumstances may be limiting, and your Choices restricted to the context of Circumstances, the CAPACITY for Choice is never limited. Within the most extreme of Circumstances, you will always have the choice ranging between reaction and creativity. You may not "choose" to die from a long-term illness in any way that seems obvious to you, but you CAN choose to react to that experience as a form of survival, or choose creative ways of dealing with it in a way that evolves you. You may not "choose" to be poor in any way that makes sense to you, but you CAN choose between constant reaction to the circumstances, and creative responses to the circumstances. You may not "choose" to grow old in a way that hurts, but you CAN choose between reacting to that pain, and being creative through it, around it, beyond it. You may not "choose" who challenges you, and who may die on you, or who may assault you, or who may praise you, but you CAN choose to default to reaction or to creative response. All of this is summed up in the cliche, but valid, statement that you may not choose what happens to you, but you do have a choice in what to do with what happens to you. The most extreme form of Circumstance within a life is what we will call SUFFERING. Suffering is a relative term, so we will not define any conditions for it beyond the fact that anyone can Suffer for any reason that he or she deems circumstances are beyond their control. SUFFERING is a natural part of being alive. It cannot be avoided, and it will happen to all of you in some way, some how, some time. Not because it is imposed upon you, but because each of you will go through a process of interpreting experiences in a way that cause Suffering. Each of you Suffer in every lifetime in some way. Even the Transcendental and hosts for the Infinite Souls suffer. This is because there will ALWAYS be Circumstances beyond your control in some way. In the same way that we described the Learning and Remembering process of Soul Ages and Internal Monads, so does the approach to Suffering evolve. Suffering is avoided at all costs as an Infant Soul, and as an infant child, but Suffering is eventually and actively embraced as the soul ages, and as the adult comes into maturity. To avoid Suffering is a Survival Reaction, and a valid one within context. To embrace Suffering is to embrace your Creative Force. This is why it is well-known that those who suffer within a lifetime tend to be the most creative. Suffering is one of the most fertile of experiences for generating a return to a Creative Force within. It is NOT the only way, but it is a way that is so often a part of the life that it has come to be counted upon by Essence in many ways. When one abdicates Choice, Suffering is painful and overwhelming. When one enlists Choice to any degree closer to Creativity, Suffering becomes a rich resource, and often a direct path back to the self, and to Essence. All Infinite Souls embraced Suffering in its entirety. All Transcendental Souls, as well. This is NOT because Suffering is "noble," but that it is a part of life, a part of living, a part of being alive, in a body, and within the structures of limitation that are built upon various foundations. To avoid Suffering is to remain locked in Survival Mode. To consciously embrace it as a part of life is to Evolve. This does not mean one must seek it out, though we doubt we need to warn of this since suffering is often found without "looking for it." There are three types of Suffering: Survival Suffering, Denial Suffering, and Conscious Suffering. Survival Suffering is a closed loop of Suffering that is often generated through circular blame, guilt, shame. This is not a "true" suffering, but one that is brought upon the self and can be broken at any moment, though may require support and intervention. Survival Suffering tends to cut one off from others, the world, relationships, and life. Denial Suffering is an open loop of Suffering that drags others into it as a means to help the fragment continue its denials, lies, refusals, delusions. This is not a "true" suffering, but one that is brought upon the self as a means to avoid responsibility and accountability. Denial Suffering often leaves a trail of broken relationships, hurt people, and can lead to sociopathic behaviors. Where Survival Suffering isolates the fragment, Denial Suffering creates closed allegiances and alliances that become defensive fences between the self and "reality." Conscious Suffering, or True Suffering, is when one recognizes that there is nowhere else to go, so to speak. When one "loses" a loved one, there is nowhere to go but to suffer the grief. When one struggles with illness, there is nowehere to go but to suffer the challenges. When one struggles with pain, there is nowhere to go but to suffer the endurance. Conscious Suffering is the willingness to stand in that, and let it be. Conscious Suffering is the willingness to be present for the experience. Willingness to be present is a willingness to own what power one has in the circumstance, regardless of how limited that power may be. Owning the power that one has in the most limited of circumstances is the embrace of Choice and Creativity. Embracing Choice and Creativity means allowing for uncertainty, and paves a rich path back to the core of the self and to Essence. While Suffering is not a "noble" thing, it does lead to noble characteristics that every fragment eventually embraces and evolves. The 7 Nobilities, if you will, are: PRESENCE or Self-Authority; STRENGTH or Endurance; INNOCENCE or Wisdom; CREAVITY or Solvency; EMPATHY or Self-Reflection; FORGIVENESS or Self-Responsibility; and TRUST or Experience. The first two are Action Oriented, resonating to King/Warrior respectively. The second two relate to Expression Axis, and Sage/Artisan respectively. The third set of two relates to the Inspirational, and Priest/Server respectively. And finally the Assimilative and Scholar. The "Nobilities" will tend to be emphasized in various degrees depending on the predominance of Overleaves across the Axes, and, of course the Role and Casting. We will OPEN THE QUEUE here for your questions regarding what we have shared so far. Type three asterisks *** to indicate that you have a question, and we will call upon you in order. QUEUE IS NOW OPEN [Maureen] What comments would you make re: the axiom – “If you have the choice choose to enjoy” related to today's material? Maureen, we think that is a valid statement, and in MOST of life circumstances, that choice for \enjoyment is present, but it would be a lie to say that it is a choice in every circumstance. It is rare that a fragment would or could choose to "enjoy" Suffering, itself, but one CAN choose to find moments of joy, or to allow moments of joy, however fleeting, to count, even in the midst of Suffering. If someone suffers from cancer, it would be irresponsible to tell that person to choose to enjoy the cancer, but it would be helpful to remind them that there is joy beyond the suffering, or alongside the suffering. Does this response offer some insight, Maureen? [Maureen] move towards inclusion rather than exclusion - yes thanks Yes, Maureen. That is a valid elaboration. [Corinne] Could you explain further the differences between structure and foundation from the beginning part? The difference between Foundation and Structure is the difference between what IS the concept and the DETAILS of that concept. The concept of a foundation for a home is fairly standard, for example, but what the details of that home may be as built upon any foundation is varying. It could be also be said to be the facts within the facts. CHOICE is a foundation for any form of conscious, but the details of how that choice is built, evolved, utilized, applied, etc is as varied as any home. Does this help clarify? [Corinne] Ok...it's clearer. Is this distinction relative to choice similar for the essence and the personality or different? Another example might be that you have a LIFE, and that is a Foundation, but what you DO WITH THAT LIFE is the structure built upon it. [Corinne] AH! I see. You will always have a range of Choice between Reaction and Creativity within any Circumstance, but you will not always understand or consciously choose your Circumstances. [Oscar] Hello Michaelses ;) Would you care to elaborate on "...any way that seems obvious to you", which you mentioned in relation to possibility of Choice? For example, one may not "choose" a certain illness, but the choices made over time during the life may end up resulting in that illness. To that extent, one DOES CHOOSE the illness, but it is no way an obvious process. Another example might be that one may not "choose" to be attacked by a murderer or rapist, but the choices that lead one to be in a certain place at a certain time resulted in being accessible to the attacker. To that extent one DOES CHOOSE the path that leads to the attacker, but in no way that is fair to call an "obvious choice" made by a person. One may not choose to live with the aches and pains of growing older in a finite body, but one DOES CHOOSE to grow older, and thus the inherent conditions that go along with age must be included in that choice. Do these examples help to clarify? [Oscar] yes very much so, thanks =) [DanR] Michael, could you comment on a bias seen in fragments where they view their own suffering as arising from unfortunate external circumstances while they view other fragments' suffering as arising from poor choices? For example, “I am poor due to a bad upbringing and lack of opportunity while they are poor because they chose not to work hard.” Does overcoming this bias help with Essence evolution? The first example is one of Survival Suffering: blame on the past, on the upbringing, on the past. Survival Suffering is wrought with comparisons for the sake of excuses and alleviation of self-reflection and self-authority, self-responsibility, etc. Comparing Suffering is never insightful. It is about as useless as defining a line between Art and Not Art. By this we mean that while there are three types of Suffering that do have symptoms and behaviors distinct to each, they are still Suffering. Anyone who Suffers can use your help, and if you suffer, you can always use your own help. Therefore, yes, the transcendence of comparisons will always help one to tend to his own Creative solutions for his suffering, rather than to ensure them because they are justified when compared to others'. Comparisons are helpful for navigation, but if not used for navigation, they become the parameters of centrifugal vs creative force. Does this help in answering your question? [DanR] Yes, thank you very much Michael. [Bobbi] Having recently been dropped by a friend of 35+ years, I am left wondering if my change from uneasy ally in her Denial Suffering to offering self-empowerment/self-love suggestions caused the freeze-out. Do I try to get back in, or let her evolution continue without me? Your observations are valid. The "freeze-out" is often the modus operandi of those in Denial Suffering, and if we see the correct fragment, your assessment is valid. As mentioned before, Suffering is Suffering, regardless of Denial, Survival, or Conscious, and any Suffering person can use your help. The choice is yours to make, but there is a risk that it could lead you to your own Suffering in some way. And if you are willing, then that can be a path of Creative Force. We would say that it would be helpful to continue what you have already done, which is to continue along lines that are on your own terms, and not catering to the perceived delusions. [Bobbi] Would the risk be rejection? [Bobbi] Again. There is a way to return to the friendship with more offers of support and intervention without it being consuming, and that would be through calling upon one of the 7 Nobilities that come naturally to you, or that you wish to take on as a challenge. [Bobbi] Thank you. Very helpful. When one moves into uncertainty, risk, and limitation of choice, but recognizes that choice is still an option, then calling upon one of the 7 Nobilities can help one to focus the choices. [Bobbi] Good to know and have in the holster! For instance, in your case, you can make the choice to take the risk because you are willing to challenge your Empathy, or to utilize your Forgiveness, or to encourage her Strength by exemplifying it in yourself, etc. As we said, Suffering is not the Nobility, in itself, but from Suffering comes the 7 Nobilities, and one eventually learns to call upon those actively and willingly in the lifetime. When one actively calls upon a Nobility, then Suffering is minimized, if not diminished entirely. [Bobbi] I must have missed that in the other books. ;-) It is not there. Our teaching is not completed in any book. [Jill] Would it be accurate to say that someone who is highly sensitive is highly reactive due to interpretation of experiences? Highly Sensitive does not automatically equate Highly Reactive, though the phrase "highly sensitive" is often imposed upon those who are more obvious in their reactions or creative responses. Highly-sensitive people simply react OR respond quickly. Those who are highly-sensitive require more downtime for calibration and recalibration, since their sensitivity equates quickness. On the surface, and often, yes, this is reactionary, but it can evolve into a quickness of consciousness and creativity just as easily as anyone can. Does this lend insight to your question? [Jill] Is sensitivity due to Overleaves, imprinting etc.? Sensitivity can be a result of any number of combinations, but most-often it is the result of AWARENESS. When one is "sensitive" in the sense that one is offended by the slightest thing, it is NEW, or RAW Awareness, whereas one who is "sensitive" in a sense is intuitive and transcendent of the senses, it is INTEGRATED Awareness. [Jill] Thank you. I have been struggling with the distinction for quite some time Sensitivity is a state that every fragment strives for, and cycles through in terms of rawness vs integration. Being easily upset or offended only means that one has not found acceptable solutions to the awareness that has come to be, and this can be the case in a spectrum of situations. For instance, one can be sensitive to the behaviors of others in a way that upsets one because this emphasizes the differences between oneself and another. What to do with that awareness is then a process of Integration. [Jill] So we can truly feel empathy on the way to agape? One can be sensitive to the plight of animals, or the oppressed, and but raw awareness will be ineffective and reactionary, often exacerbating or defeating the awareness, but integrated awareness will be responsive, effective, creative, and educational on behalf of that awareness. Jill, one cannot be in a state of agape without empathy. We will conclude this workshop with a suggestion for each of you to examine the 7 Nobilities and to look at which ones are more challenging, which ones are natural to you, and which ones have not been considered. Look at the risks you may be willing to take in the life, and call upon one that you feel could help minimize the potential for suffering. Examine where and how in your life you feel you suffer because of circumstances, and see if you can stand in it Consciously so that it is transformed into a path to your Creative Force. [Corinne] What are the differences between the Nobilities you capitalized and those you didn't? While there may be variations in the limitations and freedoms relative to Choice, you will ALWAYS carry with you the spectrum between Reaction and Response/Creativity. Corrine, we added a more personalized sub-description for convenience. It could be said that the capitalized is the foundation, and the lower-case is the structure; or put another way, the concept and the application. [Corinne] I see. Thanks. We must conclude here today. Good day to each of you. Goodbye.

    Energy Report: JULY 2012

ENERGY REPORT JULY 2012 As a cycle of pre-measured time unfolds, such as a year, it can be anticipated in understanding similar to describing and anticipating any Personality. Any system, such as another Personality system, Astrology, and even frequencies and meanings of color, could be used to describe these cycles of time, as they could also be used to describe geographical locations, communities, etc. because if there is a basic understanding of any system, it can be superimposed in a way that is quite useful and empowering. The greater the understanding of the system, the greater the understanding of that which is being superimposed upon. However, a vital, key awareness in any process of interpretation or superimposition is that “the map is never the terrain.” In other words, we can describe the year in Overleaves, Astrological terms, Color, etc, but that year will never exist through only those words; you still must live through the year as a way to know that year. This is true of any map. The ATTITUDE in our system of Personality is the individual’s “map” of the terrain through which they will journey. It is your system of superimposition and interpretation. The Attitude is the lens through which one perceives, interprets, and archives his or her life, but IT IS NOT THE LIFE. When one looks at a map of New York City, it is not the same thing as walking its streets. When one looks at the stories of history books, it is not the same thing as having been there. When one looks through the eyes of his or her Attitude, it is not the same thing as what is being seen. We point this out because the shift in July moves in emphasis from the MODE to the ATTITUDE. Your Attitude is your collection of maps. One’s Attitude is never just one map, but many, and always a collection that supports the same basic system of interpretation and superimposition that you are working to explore. This system is described by the name of the Attitude, One begins to collect maps of the terrain of their life soon after the 2nd Internal Monad, or when one actually begins to develop his or her own stable mobility. The maps used at 10 years old are very different from the maps used at 21 or 45 or 75, but they can be strikingly similar, with the maps building in extensiveness rather than in replacement, though a complete replacement of one’s maps can and does change, depending upon imprinting. As with our own Overleaf System, or any mapping system, the system of interpretation and superimposition is fairly neutral, and cannot determine the experiences that one will have when actually exploring the “terrain.” For example, the Idealist or a Spiritualist Attitude do not have an easier time, or a better perspective, than a Cynic or a Skeptic, but these different Attitudes do have very different systems of interpretation and superimposition; very different maps. One of the reasons we find that the cycles of a year move through an emphasis on the Attitude is so that all Attitudes may have a period of time each year to “see” the maps that may not be their own. We might compare this to one person becoming rather dependent upon a Subway Map of New York City, but then finding themselves looking at a map of walking tours through the Parks of New York City. It is not that one is better than the other, but having exposure to both (and more) can greatly enhance one’s understanding of the city, and this can be said about your own exposure to the different Attitudes and maps that are used around you. You will always return to your own map, but there would come to be a sense of these other maps that can be carried with you and understood, even if not your default map. This allows you to understand the greater collective experience. To deny this expansion would be similar to someone describing New York City only terms of its Subway routes, denying all maps of waterways, Restaurants or Parks or Museums, etc. There is a necessity for multiple maps for a single terrain, because a single terrain offers up multiple layers of experiences. Your Attitude is not the truth, it is merely your means of exploring the truth. Soul Age often corresponds to the number of maps one can carry, if you will. The younger the soul, the fewer the maps, and the more invested and engrossed one is with the maps that are one’s own. However, as the soul grows, the Personalities begin to carry around more maps, or put in terms relative to our Teaching, the Attitude expands. As the soul ages, its corresponding Personalities seek to understand more and more maps that are not one’s own, and this is why we share the Energy Report. Understanding the collective world as it is being explored through a dominant, collective Attitude, helps one to expand upon one’s place within the largest map of all, that eventually includes all of you. As July unfolds, the collective emphasis is moving into the Attitude of Spiritualist. This means that the shift of perspective, or the system of interpretation and superimposition, is one toward POTENTIAL and POSSIBILITY. As with any move through cycle, there tends to come an “entrance” through the more focused, restricted, and often fearful Negative Pole, and eventually a move into the broader, more inclusive, often loving Positive Pole. In this case, it would mean that July will probably begin by exploring Potential and Possibility through the more restricted, fearful, and focused lens. The perspective would be one that still emphasizes Potential and Possibility, but may tend toward the worst-case possibilities and potentials. This is not a bad thing. It is natural, and is intended to be a helpful perspective. One cannot explore the greater and preferable possibilities and potentials without, first, exploring the potential pitfalls and possible hurdles. The Negative Pole of Spiritualist is described as BELIEF. Belief is (consciously or unintentionally) confusing what MIGHT be true for what IS true. Just because something may be true does not mean that it is true, but Belief will insist that something is true, despite all lack of experience, and it often requires a rejection of feedback, facts, and discernment. If Spiritualist Attitude is about “what could be,”, then BELIEF is the insistence on “what could be” as being the same thing as the truth, instead of remaining as a potential truth. Belief is synonymous with Faith, or more accurately, Blind Faith. Beliefs are systems of interpretation and superimpositions that you have decided are true, but either have no evidence or support for that truth or perspective, or have rejected all evidence and support for the contrary. Belief could be understood as a map that has no terrain, or when one insists that the map IS the terrain, and blindly moves about based upon determined symbolism, rather than on feedback, facts, validation, discernment, etc. BELIEF is not necessarily a “bad thing,” as the Negative Pole is entered precisely for the process of discernment, validation, feedback, etc. It is an opportunity to look at what you Believe vs what is true. It is only when one decides to remain there that this Negative Pole is “negative.” Having a set of possibilities and potentials is something that experience helps to weed through so that what is true for you can come to light, not only in terms of a Personal level (what is true for you), but a Global (what is true relative to Earth’s species, sciences, and nature) and Universal level (what is true of the Universe regardless of what is true for a species or planet), as well. Holding on to those possibilities and potentials (whether “good” or “bad”) is not the same thing as remaining in the Negative Pole. Once one has an understanding of all that he or she thinks or knows is possible or potential, then the aim is for the Positive Pole, which is VERIFICATION. Verification is the process of validating what you may have been told, or what you may have decided, is possible and potential. It is the measuring of the map against the terrain, and either updating the map, or replacing it. Verification allows one to see what is true, rather than simply insisting on what is true. Again, if you carry around a set of possibilities and potentials that have no validation, that is not the same thing as Belief. Some truths take time and energy to uncover, build, discover, validate, and know. Everyone carries around a great set of potentials and possibilities, but it is only when there is no interest in Verifying these that there comes to be fear, blind faith, and Belief. And so it is that July may come in as an awkward mix of sensing and anticipating exciting prospects, but finding oneself directing attention toward potential problems or pitfalls. Knowing these are possibilities, you can go forward and Verify, but if you treat these as truths before that, you have fallen into Belief. Remember that while there is an emphasis on the Attitude now, it is being built from the previous emphases of the Goal and Mode, and the Role and Center.... The “season” of the Attitude helps to put together all that has come to be experienced in the first part of the year, by not only and brings in the mapping systems for helping to determine where to go, next. We think that as July unfolds for our students, it might be experienced as an extreme between overwhelming disorientation and striking clarity. This would depend upon how much you might feel you must sort out as you pivot into a direction that is of your choice. As this year is one that we described through the Role of King, Emotional/Instinctive Centering, Goal of Growth, and Passion Mode, then it goes that we are seeing a great portion of our students passively or actively stripping the life of anything that goes against a sense of Mastery, Inspirational Perception, Evolution and Meaning, and Self-actualization, or bringing more of “you” out of you and into the world. July may be the first month where this begins to sink in; that you may be leaving a great deal of “you” behind that is no longer supportive of the directions you would like to grow. If you find that July has launched into a state of overwhelm, we suggest that you consider using your own Attitude, whatever that may be, to interpret your life in the best possible light you can, because the collective Attitude of Spiritualist is supportive of this. For those who are experiencing the greatest overwhelm, we suggest that you are seeing the results of a shift you have been longing for, for a very long time. The next three months would be of some importance to you for stabilizing yourself as you pivot, but allow yourself the freedom for these changes and invite yourself to expand your map, or your collection of maps. When one has been in a momentum for a long time, the shift can seem shocking, but there would be very little chance of avoiding that. Sometimes when one has been traveling a road for a long time in the dark, when the lights come up, the turn that had always been intended is “right there,” and to swerve onto the nearest off-ramp is the only way to get onto it, which means you may find yourself thrown about a bit. If you find that July has launched into a kind of state of clarity, we suggest that you consider using your own Attitude, whatever that may be, to consciously choose your priorities. You may not be in the same position as those who are overwhelmed, but you could easily fall into this if you do not follow through with your own perspective of clarity toward those things that have come to be understood as your priorities. Prioritizing will not eliminate your other potentials and possibilities, but will simply help to fulfill the potential and possibility of that which is most important to you. Keep in mind that our Energy Reports here describe the experiences of those who tend to be actively participating “in the world,” but those who may have more insular lives might not find much relevance here. Helpful thoughts over JULY might be: 1) I CAN HAVE ANYTHING I WANT, BUT I CANNOT HAVE EVERYTHING I WANT This is an important phrase for those seeking to accomplish or fulfill anything that requires time, experience, patience, energy, and effort. Possibilities are always infinite, but you can only do so much, and experience so much. When one presumes that one should be able to have everything one wants NOW, it can halt the progress and effectiveness of nearly every effort. When one presumes one should have all of the priorities of possibility, or none at all, progress and effectiveness can greatly diminish. Organizing possibilities into priorities helps create a circuit of effectiveness and progress that can help one to remain inspired, to grow, to master, and to enjoy this life. 2) THIS MAP IS NOT THE ONLY MAP As July unfolds, it will be helpful to remember that, no matter how invested you are in your truth, even if backed by experience, there are other versions of interpretation and superimposition that exist just as validly as the one with which you have come to be so invested. Often, the greater the change in your life, the more likely the necessity for you to upgrade your way of interpreting your life. You will never be without your map, but you can sometimes find yourself lost in it, instead of living it. Remembering that your map is not the only map, and that the map is not the terrain, can greatly free you to understand and enjoy any great changes that come into your life. DATES OF INTEREST JULY 4th - 7th - this is not a Divergence or a Convergence, but something we might best describe as a “window.” This period of time might be experienced as exploring several possibilities, either in the imagination, or through conversations, etc, or it may simply come as a kind of floating, limbo-like period. These “windows” tend to be generated when there is a sense of a greater collective shift in the year ahead, and this helps to align or move away from that greater shift. JULY 27th - Another “window,” with an emphasis on comparing perspectives (internally or externally) among those closest to you about plans for the rest of the year.
  14. ENERGY REPORT February 2013 2013 OVERLEAVES ROLE: SAGE (emphasized all year) CENTER: INTELLECTUAL (emphasized all year) GOAL: FLOW > acceptance/discrimination (emphasized Jan - Mar) MODE: POWER (emphasized Apr - Jun) ATTITUDE: IDEALIST (emphasized Jul - Sep) CHIEF FEATURES: SELF-DESTRUCTION (emphasized Oct - Dec) *************** February brings with it more of the emphasis on the Goal of Flow for the year. There is often a misconception about the nature of the Goal in our Overleaves system, which is that the Goal must describe a characteristic already in place for a Personality, or in this case, for the year. For someone who has a Goal of Acceptance, then, it would be presumed that this person is accepting and easy to accept. For those in Growth, it is often presumed that they eagerly seek out challenges that stretch them. For those in Flow, that their lives are relaxing, easy-going, smooth, and fairly unchallenged. The Goal describes a quality one intends to extract from the lifetime, but does not describe the characteristics of a person. Many who are in Acceptance are in Acceptance because they want to learn to be more Accepting and acceptable, not because they have already secured those qualities. Those in Growth often have to make the effort to get up off of the couch and do something that encourages their growth, because it is a Goal to Grow. The Goal of Flow does not mean one is moving smoothly, is more relaxed, in life, but that one is seeking to learn how to navigate challenges, and to flow and adapt. Until one has gained enough experience with a Goal in a lifetime, the obvious symptoms of it may not be clear, and may even seem to be counter to the Goal. In addition to this, all spectrums described by poles are entered through the more restrictive negative pole, and then expanded upon from experience as a way toward the more inclusive positive pole. And so it is for the year ahead as it represents the themes of Flow. It does not mean the year will start off as an easy, relaxing time, but more likely that there will be an effort to alter momentum, to move from Inertia, the Negative Pole, and toward the Positive Pole of Freedom. As February brings Flow into emphasis, then, it would tend to be as a mix of breaking the momentum and inertia of patterns that you prefer to break, and beginning to provide some structure for the direction of flow you would prefer your life to go. The need for structure may be on the rise for many of our students as the month moves forward, even if only as passing thoughts that hint at this vital ingredient for peace and calm in the life. Flow does not mean one must concede to the inertia and momentum of force that is already in place. Along with the capacity to navigate the flow of a life, the Goal of Flow is also about gaining the skill of shifting that flow. A river may not be able to be stopped, but it can be managed and directed by any number of methods. Many people presume that for a life to be calm, peaceful, and abundant, the aim would be for those qualities, themselves, and those are valuable aims, but they overshoot the securing of ingredients that actually create and sustain calm, peace, and abundance. Those terms tend to describe symptoms and effects from having fulfilled foundational structures that then allow for peace, calm, and abundance to be built upon or within. The Soul Ages reflect this process of securing foundational structures that allow for more encompassing structures. Not much can be done with a life if survival is the primary focus, so until survival is secured, and it is not feasible to expect civility or order. Once the structure of survival is secured, then the capacity for being civilized and ordered can come. Once the structure of civilized order is in place, then the fulfillment of individuality and competitiveness can come. Once the structure of winning and having has been fulfilled, then the empathy can come. Once the structure of empathy and compassion is in place, then the greater contexts existence can be pondered. As February unfolds into March, then, we would tend to see many being prompted by impulses that would help to provide structures in the life that would allow for greater flow, greater freedom, and help to shift the momentum of any forces already in place. Impulses are inviting, not imposing, so they may easily be ignored or overlooked. There may come to be confusion around how to focus or move forward in preferred directions because when the Goal is Flow, it would “make sense” to throw out the ideals of plans, structure, and focus, trusting that “everything will work out,” or conversely feeling as if the momentum is just too much, so efforts would make little difference. And this is why there is a Goal of Flow, because it is a skill, a quality that must be sustained and managed consciously, and not something that simply should be, or that is acquired and completed. A Goal in our system is a Goal because it is a fuel, a motivation, not a finish line. A Goal is like breathing is to your body. Because you were able to complete a circle of breathing in and breathing out does not mean you must never breathe again. You must continue breathing. A Goal is like breath to your Personality and Essence. It will continue until “the end.” Breathing can be taken for granted, improved upon, deepened, be shallow, be strained, but once it stops, so does the life. The Goal is similar. It is always in effect, because it is not something to perfect, but something that fuels experience. The Goal as part of the Overleaves for a year are much easier to dismiss, and are not priorities, but the Goal does reflect the fuel for collective sentience over any given time; in this case, a year. If you find you are noticing a quiet, inviting impulse for certain actions, it is probably because you are hooked into the collective consciousness of our sentience, and contributing your part to the experience of learning how to choose to shift your personal momentum and inertia into a preferable flow toward freedom. As February moves toward March, the forces of inertia, or the shift toward freedoms will tend to become more and more apparent. The more one has resigned to inertia, the more likely there would tend to be a sense of limbo, distraction, or constant bumping up against the edges and obstacles of the life. The more one has begun to listen to impulses, has begun to put into effect some structure for the forces of life, then the freedom to exist upon and within it can start to show symptoms of calm, peace, and abundance. Helpful thoughts over FEBRUARY might be: IGNORING YOUR IMPULSION LEAVES ROOM FOR COMPULSION Impulses will never push you to do something, will rarely feel pressing, and will never impose themselves as priorities, because impulses indicate paths that require full participation and active choice, even if they are strong urges. Impulses can tend to appear to be either more daunting or evasive as paths. Compulsion is very different from this, and is difficult to ignore. Compulsion tends form from the vacuum created in life by the lack of active choice, from fear, and from obligation and force. Compulsion and Impulsion, both, will be a part of every life, but as consciousness evolves, so does the preference and effort for fulfilling impulses over compulses. Fulfillment of impulses do not have the same immediate pay-off or gratification that compulsions might seem to promise, but the fulfillment grows from steady, meaningful, cumulative ways that steer the life in directions of preference, with Essence, even when the impulses seem completely unrelated to your presumed intention and direction. Ignoring your impulses will not stop you from living or having experiences from which you can build upon, but the greater the lack of attention to impulses, the greater the demand of compulsion. DATES OF INTEREST February 11-15 - NEXUS - a Divergence generated by resignation to inertia, or the active contribution to collective redirection. Before, during, or after this period, within 2 weeks, it can be quite inspiring and motivating to put into effect any effort toward the structures that will increase your capacity for peace, calm, abundance, and freedom. This can be done at any time in the life, of course, but we mention it here because there is a collective, “energetic support” for that effort now.
  15. Michael Speaks Live June 23, 2013 An Expanded Session on the Third Internal Monad Channel: Troy Tolley Hello, Michael. Today, we'd like a "topic level" comprehensive overview about the 3rd Internal Monad. I'd like the topic to include identifying those who are stuck in negative poles of the 3rd IM and suggestions on how to help someone transition into positive poles, both those who accept the teachings and those who don't. Is there any one stage in particular that seems to cause the most trouble? Just as the 4th IM can be somewhat measured by how well the person is learning to like him/herself, is there something key for the 3rd IM person? [MEntity] We will address each of your questions as we cover the topic. [MEntity] Before we go into the specificities of the Third Internal Monad, we will share a brief review of some of the developmental aspects of the Internal Monads, in general. This is not unrelated, and will help shed light on those specifics of the Third Internal Monad. [MEntity] The 7 Internal Monads can be best understood as the "levels" within a Soul Age LEVEL. So, for example, to move from the first Level of a Soul Age to the second Level, these 7 Internal Monads must be successfully completed within at least one lifetime within that Level. [MEntity] As you know, a Soul Age Level is rarely a single lifetime, and are often several lifetimes. The average being about 7 lifetimes per Soul Age LEVEL. [MEntity] In one lifetime, one may successfully transit only one or two Internal Monads. [MEntity] Though the success for any given Personality/lifetime within a Level may be more or less in terms of how many Internal Monads are successfully transited, the totality of successes are not lost to the progress of Essence. [MEntity] In other words, if the first lifetime within that Level completes the First, Second, and Third Internal Monads, but the next lifetime only completes the Second, it does not regress Essence's progress through the Level. [MEntity] This is because the Personality has its own progress, which contributes to the overall progress of Essence which is never regressive since it is a constant. So if one Personality contributes to Essence's move through a Soul Age Level by progressing through the Third Internal Monad in one life, but the next Personality does not do so in the next, the Essence would still be considered to have evolved through the Level. [MEntity] In the earlier Soul Ages, there is a fairly high level of stop-start among the various Personalities that contribute to each Level, because their connection to Essence is a bit more distorted or rejected. [MEntity] For example, in the Infant Soul Age Levels, the aim is for Survival, so the First Internal Monad of each Level is often the only Internal Monad completed, over and over, and then the subsequent Internal Monads are approached, slowly and eventually. [MEntity] In the Baby Soul Age, there are more who get "stuck" at the Second Internal Monad, and Young Souls are more prone to getting "stuck" in the Third, while Mature stall in the Fourth, and Old Souls in the Fifth. [MEntity] This is not a "bad thing." This is merely indicative of the themes of emphasis for that Soul Age. [MEntity] With each successful completion of an Internal Monad by one Personality, the momentum is generated for support in successfully completing the next Internal Monads by any subsequent Personality. However, that access to momentum is dependent upon the Personality's access to Essence. [MEntity] This is why the older Soul can complete more Internal Monads within a Level than those who are younger in Soul Age. [MEntity] When there is no access, or limited access, then progression is dependent upon Review between lifetimes. [MEntity] Internal Monads are our way of describing where a Personality is in regaining consciousness, awareness, relative to its Essence. [MEntity] Remember: Soul Age and Level are descriptions of where the Essence is, relative to remembering Tao. Internal Monads describe where one is within the process of remembering Essence. The latter contributes tremendously to the former. [MEntity] We share all of this background and review with you on this subject because this is relevant to how the older soul experiences the use of the information describing the Internal Monads. [MEntity] We share this because it is important to remember that, no matter what Soul Age, EVERY NEW BIRTH OF PERSONALITY IS AN EQUIVALENT OF INFANT SOUL. [MEntity] Everything is reset. [MEntity] The Instinctive Center (or localized Akashic Records) is "inserted" into the new lifetime and new body and new Personality, but it is then up to that Personality to access that, and regain and develop and progress consciousness. [MEntity] The Essence does all it can to set up the life so that remembering can come as easily as possible, but there is no pressure or hurry from the perspective of Essence. [MEntity] Because Humans are social creatures, the progress through the Internal Monads will tend to be relative to the average Soul Age and its influences on the culture, society, and available imprinting. [MEntity] So, regardless of Soul Age, it can be quite difficult to move beyond the Third or Fourth Internal Monad at this time as a Human. [MEntity] No matter how effectively Essence has set up the life of the Old Soul Personality, it is being born into a world dominated by Baby and Young Soul (Second and Third Internal Monad) themes, and only recently supportive of Mature (or Fourth Internal Monad) themes that help one progress and gain awareness. REGAINING CONSCIOUSNESS [MEntity] There are very few ways to prod a return to consciousness earlier than others among the culture or society. [MEntity] One of the only ways to do this is to provide opportunities for struggles and challenges early in the life. [MEntity] The more one is moved into conditions that prompt self-reflection and awareness, the more one regains (or gains) conscuousness. [MEntity] This is risky because the Personality must make the choices necessary for the use of those opportunities, but could easily slip into the development of entrenching Chief Negative Features. [MEntity] This is not to say that Essence plans your pain and suffering as a way to wake up, because pain and suffering are relative to the choices of the Personality, but it is fair to say that any challenges and obstacles early in the life were probably a part of the life plan. [MEntity] Because the Personality is more asleep in those early years of life, it can be fairly easy to stumble into or upon, or to create those opportunities for obstacles, struggles, and challenges that prompt one to wake up. [MEntity] The "It Gets Better" Campaign is an example of how those who have remembered enough, who have awakened enough, are reaching out to those who may be still asleep and struggling, to remind them that the best can be made of the worst. [MEntity] Essence makes the gamble in these older soul lifetimes that one will remember this on some level, and not give up, but continue into the wakefullness that will then allow for the true Manifestation of the life to come fully. [MEntity] All of this may seem a long prelude to the details of the Third Internal Monad, but for our students who are in the Third Internal Monad, or for those who know someone in the Third Internal Monad, or for helping you to understand those in the world who are "stuck" in the Third Internal Monad, it is vital to understand that this Internal Monad is the most asleep any Personality can be, relative to Soul Age. [MEntity] The Young Soul stuck in the Third Internal Monad in the Third Level of the Soul Age is probably the most asleep fragments among you. [MEntity] And no matter how old your soul is, if you are stuck in the Third Internal Monad, or passing through it, this will be the most asleep you can ever be in your life, no matter how awake you may feel you are. [MEntity] We will clarify here that "asleep" and "awake" are convenient ways to describe the difference between navigating the life based on what is happening to you versus navigating the life based on what you do with what happens to you. This is highly simplistic, but fair. [MEntity] For our older students, there will tend to be two lines of consciousness in effect before the completion of the Fourth Internal Monad: one is relative to the growth necessary for that current Personality, and the other is relative to the wisdom that is intuitively accessible from Essence. [MEntity] We think that many of our students will relate to having thought they were quite aware, quite advanced, quite wise in their teen years, and rightly so, but that even that paled in comparison to that which came in the years of life and progress of later Internal Monads. [MEntity] This is because the division between Essence and Personality is much less in the older Soul Ages, but this will rarely usurp the necessary experiences that the current Personality must gain before making that wisdom applicable and have context. [MEntity] So to all of our Third Internal Monad students, we assure you: no matter how wise you feel you are now, you will be wiser, and there are those who are wiser. [MEntity] For those who have successfully completed the Third Internal Monad, and know one who is stuck in the Third Internal Monad, or is passing through the Third Internal Monad, we remind you that you were there, once, too, and to forget this is an indication of where you may be stuck in your own Internal Monad. [MEntity] We will now describe the Third Internal Monad and its passage in detail: [MEntity] The First Stage of INITIATION is begun through REBELLION, the Negative Pole, and eventually moved to the Positive Pole of EXPLORATION. [MEntity] There is no way around the Rebellion as part of the process of the Third Internal Monad, but how that Rebellion plays out is entirely unique to every individul and the determined necessity for what represents rebellion. [MEntity] For the most part, the rebellion will target any of the most signficant influences in the life at the time. This influence can be positive or negative; it will not matter. There will be rebellion. [MEntity] For the older soul, this can even be toward the self, particularly if one feels the self is the most influential force in the life. [MEntity] Most sense of trust is tossed aside during this stage, and this prompts the Personality to begin its search for independence. [MEntity] If one stays in Rebellion long enough, this can be quite ugly, messy, and completely incoherent and chaotic, or the prompt toward independence can move one into Exploration, the Positive Pole of the stage. [MEntity] No matter how close one has been to a resource of nurturing, shelter, food, etc, Rebellion will come, and depending upon how the Rebellion goes, eventually Exploration. [MEntity] Along with the Rebellion and Exploration comes a necessity for creating new bonds of Trust. [MEntity] This comes with the uncomfortable shift away from those inherently trusted sources and toward new sources. [MEntity] For example, no matter how wonderful a relationship one may have had with a caretaker/parent, this stage will bring with it a sense that one needs to create one's own network of trust, rather than depend upon those inherent to birth and upbringing. [MEntity] This is a vital part of the Third Internal Monad because this is how all of you found each other. [MEntity] The bonds one shares with those outside of the bonding born of formative years are vital for finding and sustaining in the life, especially for the older soul whose "family" of Entity Mates and Agreements is often scattered around the planet. [MEntity] As one moves away from Rebellion and into Exploration, Trust begins to return, being built within new networks. [MEntity] The healing of any damage or threat or rejection of the inherent Trust already in place begins, as well. [MEntity] This leads to the 2nd Stage: INTROSPECTION, entered through the Negative Pole of Self-Consciousness, and eventually moved into Consciousness. [MEntity] The sense of movement toward independence has now come, but now the Personality has no idea what that means, how to do it, if it can be done, and why it is even so important. [MEntity] This creates an interesting dynamic where one must now rely upon resources from others, but be establishing independence. [MEntity] Self-Consciousness is a kind of hyper awareness of the self as a body, but without the consciousness to bring grace of movement to it. [MEntity] This extends into communication, thinking, feeling, actions, plans, ideals, etc. [MEntity] It can be quite confusing. [MEntity] The establishment of independence seems contrary to the necessity for dependence on others as a resource. [MEntity] Particularly if that resource was just rejected during Rebellion. [MEntity] Eventually, there comes a shift in consciousness away from the self in a way that begins to return to the inclusion of others. This a shift from self-absorbed self-consciousness to actual Consciousness. [MEntity] Consciousness as the Positive Pole here means bringing awareness to include that beyond the self. This is the beginning of the awareness that independence is more about how one accesses, uses, manages, and contributes resources than it is about simply having or taking as a means to serve the self. [MEntity] This move into Consciousness is a move toward inclusiveness of those whom one must turn to for resources, help, support, etc. and a move away from seeing these as threatening, shaming, or embarrassing people in authority over the life. [MEntity] This shift toward Consciousness brings about the 3rd Stage: REALIZATION. [MEntity] The Realization that one now can turn to others for support, resource, help, etc. and still sustain the momentum of independence leads to DEMANDS, the Negative Pole of this Stage. [MEntity] Now the struggle for independence can mean that others must comply to that process for the one in the Third Internal Monad, work around his or her needs, wants, demands, etc. [MEntity] This begins the process of Realization that is all about Responsibility, and this is one of the only ways one learns about what one IS responsible for, what one CAN be responsible for, and how to work with those who are, can, and will be responsible for you. [MEntity] As one Realizes the parameters of Responsibility through Demands, this shifts toward IDEALS. [MEntity] Again, this is a matter of shifting consciousness toward greater concentric circles of inclusion, so now that one has a better sense of what his or her responsibility is for the self, the planning can now begin for the long-term. [MEntity] Ideals require a coming together of parts, and an awareness of the steps necessary for the cohesion of a vision. [MEntity] This is the first Stage where one begins to contemplate the concept of "purpose" and what one wants to do with the life in a way that is meaningful to the self, capable of sustaining independence, and contributes. [MEntity] Ideals then lead to the 4th Stage: MANIFESTATION, entered through ANGER, and moved toward CHOICE. [MEntity] Once one has a vision in place, or is fairly set on some Ideals, then the Anger comes. [MEntity] Anger here describes the sense of the daunting tasks, actions, time, energy, etc. that is realized is necessary for fulfilling responsibilities and sense of purpose. It can feel quite overwhelming and one can feel helpless, which is the underpinning of Anger. [MEntity] This is usually when one first begins to depend greatly upon the self as source of income, shelter, food, etc. [MEntity] Eventually, the Anger (helplessness) is found to be alleviated by the capacity to CHOOSE. [MEntity] This is the first time one begins to grasp the magnitude of impact of the power of Choice. [MEntity] "If I choose not to do this, this will happen." "If I choose to do this, that will happen." [MEntity] Biologically speaking, this is the first time the brain is truly capable of independent choice, comprehensive choice. [MEntity] And so the practice of choosing begins. [MEntity] And this leads to the 5th Stage of CONTENTMENT that is first entered through RESENTMENT, and eventually toward RESPONSIBILITY. [MEntity] The Resentment comes from the push/pull experience within that is about the choices having been made so far, recognizing those choices that were harmful versus those that were helpful, and feeling the weight of this power now being solely one's own. [MEntity] However fleeting, the Resentment will come. [MEntity] This can lead to blaming others for the condition of the life as it is, or blaming the self for mistakes, sinking Resentment into regrets. [MEntity] Eventually, one begins to remember that the power of choice does not just come with a trail of exhaustion, mistakes, and regrets, but with the power to heal, create, transform nearly everything. [MEntity] This is when the truth of Responsibility begins to be understood, not just as an obligatory state for independence, but as a powerful ally in creating the life. [MEntity] Love for the life begins to flow again more freely, and with all of the previous Internal Monad Stages completed, one now has Exploration, Consciousness, Ideals, Choice, and Responsibility as strengths, and this brings the 6th Stage: MAGNETIZATION [MEntity] Once Magnetization activates, it is the first time there is a sense that there are others in the life whom one does not know, still needs to find, and that they are important, as well as that you are important to them. [MEntity] This entrance into Magnetization is often marked by LONELINESS. [MEntity] This is the awareness of separation. [MEntity] While one is fighting so hard for independence, it can be difficult to realize just how far one has pushed others out of the life, or how far one will need to go in nurturing the attraction of support for the new sense of ideals and directions. [MEntity] Loneliness can come on strong, and be overwhelming. [MEntity] But this begins to shift when one begins to put those previous Positive Poles into effect. [MEntity] There comes an awareness that one is not alone just because one is alone, and that the fight for independence and self-sufficiency was not just for the sake of separating oneself from others, but as a way to be there FOR ONESELF. [MEntity] The awareness that one can be alone with the self and not equate that with loneliness shifts toward the Positive Pole of this Stage: Support. [MEntity] This is when one begins to know that one can care for the self along the way to caring for someone else, or being cared for, or along the way to any kind of exchange, support, Agreement. [MEntity] When this internal strength of Support comes into play, then the shift toward the last stage, Emanation, begins. [MEntity] To this point, all Stages can be progressed through, regardless of the Pole. [MEntity] The successful progression would be from Negative to Positive, Negative to Positive, weaving through the Stages from the more limited end to the more expansive, and eventually out of the Internal Monad. [MEntity] If one is in the Positive Pole, then one has explored the Negative Pole. [MEntity] So one cannot move from Positive to Positive to Positive, etc. [MEntity] However, one can move from Negative to Negative to Negative. [MEntity] If one has done this, then one cannot complete the Internal Monad, and will remain with an incomplete, or "stuck" Internal Monad in that final Negative Pole, and all before it. [MEntity] So the person who is with an incomplete 3rd Internal Monad beyond the 7th Stage would be one marked by Rebellion, Self-Consciousness, Demanding, Angry, Resentful, Alone, and Conclusive. [MEntity] And this will Emanate from them. [MEntity] Until one has closed out the Third Internal Monad successfully, these will dominate the life. [MEntity] In most cases, this will show up most obviously when matched against anyone or anything perceived as a threat to ones own authority, status, position, or value, or against anyone or anything that is seen as having more authority, status, position or value. [Maureen] Even if one has completed Stages 1 to 6 in the positive poles Michael -- but is "just" stuck at the 7th Stage? [MEntity] Depending upon the Soul Age where this Internal Monad is stuck, this concept of authority, status, and value is relative. For example, the Mature Soul may see this in the context of relationships and intimacy, whereas the Old Soul may see this in terms of uniqueness, wisdom, spirituality, etc. But both will be preoccupied with issues of responsibility, blame, etc. [MEntity] For one who has moved through the Positive Poles of each Stage before the 7th, Conclusivity tends to be brief, and is usually marked by a panic of questions related to "What if!" [MEntity] "What if I don't want to do this with my life?!" "What if I had made a different choice!?" "What if I am not cut out to do this?" etc. [MEntity] For someone who has completed all previous Stages in the Positive Pole, if he or she were to be stuck at this point, it would tend to remain in that spinning, questioning, uncertainty of life. There is such a terror of Conclusivity that they will, ironically, remain stuck. [MEntity] This would continue until one returns to the power of Choice, and remembers that this is the difference between conclusion and confidence. [MEntity] The Positive Pole of Emanation is Confidence, so the successful closure of the Third Internal Monad is a sustained reliance on those new internal strengths of Exploration, Consciousness, Ideals, Choice, Responsibility, and Support, all leading to the nurturing of Confidence. [MEntity] The incomplete Third Internal Monad leads one forward into the life in a state of SEPARATION. [MEntity] There will tend to be a feeling as if one is separate, alone, always fighting or struggling against someone or something holding back the life, etc. [MEntity] The successfully completed Third Internal Monad would tend to bring with it DIFFERENTIATION, rather than Separation. This is an acceptance of your differences, the differences of others, and a sense of value for those within and around. [MEntity] It is one thing to feel different from others, and quite another to live in the illusion that you are separate and alone. [MEntity] The unsuccessful completion of the Third Internal Monad is usually marked by a constant need to prove oneself, whereas the successful completion of the Third Internal Monad tends to be an acceptance of oneself. [MEntity] The acceptance of oneself then leads to the 4th Internal Monad where one learns to LIKE oneself. [MEntity] To help someone through the Third Internal Monad can be quite difficult, as this is a time when he or she is most resistant to any help, any insight, and any sense. [MEntity] If you are the one going through the Internal Monad, then it is simply up to you to learn how to make the choices that support yourself toward independence. If you are a loved one of someone going through the Third Internal Monad, then it may often be a matter of allowing yourself to adapt to their process all along the way, and resist taking ANYTHING personally. As soon as you take this person personally, it can be devastating. [MEntity] QUEUE IS NOW OPEN [MEntity] Though we know this session has gone quite long, we will answer questions for the next 10 minutes as best we can. [Diane_HB] What's the difference between accepting oneself and liking oneself? [MEntity] Imagine the difference between accepting the differences between yourself and your family, and liking your family. Or the difference between accepting your job, and liking your job. Or accepting the differences between you and a Republican, and liking that Republican. [Diane_HB] That makes sense. [Jana_K] You have mentioned that "The Young Soul stuck in the Third Internal Monad is in the Third Level of the Soul Age is probably the most asleep fragments among you." Is there something about the third level of any Soul Age that makes one more prone to be stuck/asleep? [MEntity] The Third Levels are marked by Introspection in most cases of any 7 Stages or Levels. This tends to turn one within and away, or become preoccupied with the internal processes, tending only to external processes in ways that serve those internal processes. This can be as obvious as a self-serving, greedy person to as subtle as an Old Soul who turns away from the world for fear it may affect their sense of peace. [MEntity] Even the Young Soul Age is entirely about Introspection, despite its emphasis on the external world. It is about how that external world can serve the self, based on personal need and want. [MEntity] So in an Age, Level and Stage where Introspection is so compounded, the person is quite "asleep." [MEntity] Or rather, can be. [MEntity] One can be awake and as conscious as possible at any Stage, Level, or Age. [MEntity] Some Ages, Levels, and Stages are easier to be more awake, mostly because of the nature of the emphasis of each. [ClaireC] What effect, if any, does "helicopter" parenting have on a child's ability to move through the IM's? [hovering] [MEntity] This would depend entirely upon the nature of the child. For some, this would tend to make the rebellion ever more pronounced, and for others it may delay this Internal Monad indefinitely. [MEntity] For children with more Fluid Overleaves or Essences, this would tend to bring more rebellion. [MEntity] For children with more Solid Overleaves or Essences, this would tend to bring more delays. [MEntity] By Fluid and Solid we mean Expressive/Inspirational, versus Action/Assimillative. [Kurtis] What are some key ways you can help someone progress at each of the different stages in the 3rd Internal Monad? Other than simply letting them be, since they have a tendency to ignore suggestions and etc... [MEntity] More than just letting them be, BE THERE. That is all you can do. There will be so many moments of embarrassment, confusion, chaos, shame, blame, etc. that what will be remembered and valued most is that people remained, continued to love, to care, and saw beyond the process to the person. [MEntity] That is the single most powerful thing one can do for those in or stuck in the Third Internal Monad, but this would need to be recognised as a choice, not an obligation or imposition. [Bobby] The further one gets past a "typical" time of completion for this monad, especially once they have entered their 4th and even 5th IMs, generally, how would you expect to experience such a personality? [MEntity] That would, again, depend upon the nature of the person. The more Fluid Roles and Overleaves would tend to exemplify the negative traits describing the negative poles of every stage passed through to-date in some way, while the more Solid Roles and Overleaves would tend to project those negative traits onto others and see them as issues within others. [MEntity] We must conclude here for today. We think we have responded to each question, as well as the original set, though we can certainly continue to elaborate in further exchanges. [MEntity] Good evening to each of you.
