[Excerpt from TT: 2012-12-30] Janet: In speaking about Cadre 2 Entity 6 earlier this year, you said "Fragments from this entity tend to be Resource Beacons, Pivotal Beacons, or Touchstone Beacons…." The wording of this statement suggests that it might be worthwhile to ask what these various types of Beacons are all about. MEntity: As for "beacons," we use that term to describe a kind of open invitation that is even less binding than an Agreement. It is a state sustained by a fragment within a lifetime, for the whole lifetime, or part of the lifetime, that allows for specific benefits to be shared with others. When one has taken the stance of a beacon, it tends to be a stance that refuses to reject any request for the quality of that beacon. In the most submerged, challenging, and distracting of circumstances, if a Resource Beacon is called up, for instance, whatever capacity for directing someone to a resource will be fulfilled, if possible. There are 7 basic types of beacon stances one can take, and these tend to be emphasized singularly, not a mix of one or two: Resource, Insight/Information, Pivotal/Guidance, Comfort/Nurturing, Motivation/Discipline, Reality Check, and Touch Stone. There may be better words and phrases to capture the quality of these broad categories of beacon, but these will suffice for now. These correspond to, but are not specific to, the Roles/Axes. Artisan, Sage, Priest, Server, Warrior, King, Scholar respectively. One does not need to be the Role that corresponds to the beacon stance. Beacon stances are chosen relative to lifetimes, but some entities tend to theme in 1 or more. We can expand upon this in further exchanges, then. Later you told us about the seven basic types of beacons: Resource, Insight/Information, Pivotal/Guidance, Comfort/Nurturing, Motivation/Discipline, Reality Check, and Touch Stone. Can you expand on these seven types of beacons? If there may be insufficient time for a complete response, you might begin with Resource, Pivotal and Touchstone beacons since those are most relevant to my entity. MEntity: Beacons are basic qualities to which every fragment will require access at some point in the lifetime. Every fragment will tend to act as a Beacon to different degrees in different lifetimes, and will tend to specialize in only one or two Beacons. These specializations tend to correlate to the Role and/or Casting, but are not limited to that correlation. Though each individual will tend toward one or two, so will an Entity. The tendency of the Entity's Beacons would be comprised of the averages of the preferences of the individuals', but the individual may take on a third Beacon as a means to support the Entity's theme. The Resource Beacons tend to be relative to Artisans and refers to all elements and events that might require an origin or relay point. Not everyone is so easily inclined toward creation of what is necessary for them, so a Resource Beacon can help to facilitate this for an individual or a group. This can be in terms of an experience, an event, something tangible. An Insight/information Beacon helps to make sense of events, experiences, patterns. A Pivotal/Guidance Beacon helps orient others through experiences, events, and patterns. A Comfort Beacon helps provide nurturing and repair through experiences, events, and patterns. A Motivation Beacon helps to return one to movement and action through their experiences, events, and patterns. A Reality Check Beacon helps one to consider the larger context of their experiences, events, and patterns. A Touch Stone Beacon helps one to return to a centered state of perception amid experiences, events, and patterns. These correlate to Artisan, Sage, Priest, Server, Warrior, King, and Scholar, respectively. These traits are familiar to the Roles, but they are not always activated as Beacons. Beacons are activated in a lifetime when one choose to allow that quality to be available to whomever asks of it. This tends to be true of those who move into positions of service, or who are readily available for groups, or in large families, etc. This is why they are still considered Agreements, but they are not specific to any fragments, so they are activated as Beacons; a kind of lighthouse that draws in those fragments who need those qualities provided by that Beacon. When one is an active Beacon, there tends to be an obvious pattern of access to that quality provided.
