Good Questions for First Session

So I just scheduled my first "real" session with Troy/Michael (not counting my Profile, since that was just through email).  I've got 30 minutes, or about two questions.  Having never done anything like this before, what are some good questions to start out with this time?  What did you guys ask about in your first sessions?

Some of my favorite questions that i see people ask are. There are so many good ones, but here are a few. 

1. Does my essence have a message for me.

 

2. What is my life task

 

and my personal favorite question. 

3. How am i doing in this life so far from essence perspectiive. 

 

4. Or you could ask about past life stuff like any past lives famous or on record. (Sometimes this takes a little time though)

 

5. When did i become a michael student. 

 

6. Where and what are my wounding and how to heal that

Oddly, the longer I've been a student, the fewer questions I end up having. I mean, of course I have a massive list, still, but when I'm writing out a question, sorting my thoughts around it, to distill the essence of it, I often end up answering my own question.
 

But yeah, a message from your Essence would be great.
I'd also ask your Trues, if you haven't figured them out yourself yet. Having the best way to truly Rest, Study or Play can make such a difference in your physical life!
From what I understand, our Trues are topics or activities we've greatly enjoyed or excelled at in past lives, so they're both a way of grounding the physical body and also a way of connecting to longer arcs of Essence, as it were.

 

Also, asking Michael what would be a good question to ask might be a good question... (Or, a terrible one!)

Here are some questions I've asked.

 

1. Could you please tell me which Internal Monads have I completed, at what ages, and whether they were completed in the positive poles? Which Internal Monad/stage am I in now?

 

2. Why did I chose [your role] for this Grand Cycle?

 

3. What is the overall arcing theme of my Essence that contributes to the experience and knowledge of my Entity and how is this life contributing to that?

 

4. How can I recognize when I am manifesting Essence and when I am rejecting of Essence?

 

5. Could you tell me, on average, at what percentage am I manifesting Essence? What has been the highest percentage of Essence manifestation that I've reached?

 

You could also ask for clues identifying who your Essence Twin or your Task Companions are, if you are ready and curious right now.

I've asked/thought about:

 

1. What my future probabilities are as a career. Though here it's best to specify what careers you're interested in pursuing and they can help focus on one of those suggestions.

You can ask the % of likelihood for future events of any sort actually, and how you can go about securing and creating whatever future it is that you want.

 

2. The overleaves or essence dynamics of family members.

This is actually very enlightening.

 

3. What are your strengths and blindspots from either Essence or the M's perspective. And how can you resolve this blind spot.

 

4. I mean, I ask about overleaves and essence dynamics all the time, and have received a lot more info on many traits. So you can always ask about how certain ols in you, others or in general- might show up.

 

5. What are some other parallels of you. What are they doing? How did they get there? When did they branch off? Etc.

You can specify this to ask what types of parallel you's you're looking for. Is it major turning points? Career prospects? You's that made a creative contribution? Etc.

LOL @Sam K, you need an extra lifetime for all these questions! And I'd say that all are excellent. 

 

I am still on the level where I want to ask Michael 1000 Qs/minute.

 

I had my first channelling session in October 2015, but that was after the first Gathering. It was the first time for me meeting not only TLE Members but so many Old Souls at once and i was overwhelmed by the intensity and frequency of recognition, so I asked about my connections to some of them.

 

It is only this year, that I established a more regular schedule for sessions. I'd say that I have established a pattern;

 

For specifics connected to my advancement, evolvement, status etc, I rather schedule topic-focused or 60-minute sessions, and previous to them browse the Library. I go through transcripts, available private sessions, study, observe myself, elaborate internally. It gives me a different level of reception, a different "feel" for what Michael are sharing with me. It also provides a certain freedom in how I can elaborate with Michael on details, connected to the chosen subject.

 

I do however have TRILLIONS of questions that are based on pure curiosity, or what I like to call "nice-to-knows". It can be a previous lifetime that is historically recorded and I can read about it, or parallels/concurrents, or how Michael see my Essence "visually" etc. These are rather random and I do not necessarily have an agenda for them.

 

Your post made me for example think about such a "nice to know" question, that I am surprised that I haven't asked yet: "What is Pat's history together with Michael. Pls, give me an overview from when the Agreement was activated, with some highlights, e.g. have I met some "Michael" incarnated? What were we doing? etc."

 

I'd LOVE to know everything about it, it is however not a part of my studies, where I am addressing specifics of "being me", today, at work, in my life, right now. At least as I se it from the limited perspective of our Plane.

 

Naturally is ALL information you seek valuable and relevant one way or another. I would however start with structuring "nice-to-knows" vs "needs-to-knows", (need here being addressing a concrete area of your current situation, your circumstances etc or whatever YOU decide you need, not because anything IS needed.)

 

• 30 minutes of "need-to-knows" are in my experienced best spent when prepared, contemplated, pondered. The exploration moves vertically.
• 30 minutes of "nice-to-knows" are like playing, allow you to flow freely with wherever the moment takes both you and Michael. The exploration moves horizontally.

 

(Naturally this can be a totally subjective observation specific to me and my personality, but just to provide another angle to how approach your decision in this context.)

 

I'd suggest you start with deciding about, which of these two directions - depth or width - would be most relevant for you this first time and then I'm certain the question will come! Look into it intentionally together with Essence (Essence is probably crazed with bliss right now, when you are on a deliberate exploration path ? )

A question I want to ask is about the lifetime that influence my Essence to choose the name Olympia. I asked about the name, but there wasn't time for the lifetime about how the name was chosen. I'm eager to know the story.

These two paragraphs are SO helpful in preparing for a Michael Session. I could not agree more. I have found in my preparation for a Session that there is so much information and material here on the site about the question I have in mind, that I arrive at an entirely new perspective by the time the Session happens, and am able to gain a deeper insight and understanding from Michael's answers. The resources here are enormous and I find myself getting lost in them for days. Thank you all for sharing so freely.
