Teal Swan??

I've heard of her before but finally got around to seeing one of her videos, where she speaks about mirroring relationships. very useful stuff, BUT there seems to be something "off". Maybe she's just high frequency, artisan cast(??), so the energy is bit erratic, OR she is a satan cult leader? Anyone have any thoughts?

Yeah, I like to watch her videos from time to time. Some things resonate, some do not. A lot of her teaching is about recovering from emotional wounding that springs from childhood. I remember Michael saying that a lot of spiritual, seemingly enlightened leaders are Young Souls. This may be the case with her because over the years she has seemed to want to rake in more profit with her books, paid website membership, exclusive content, etc. That is just my perception. But I do agree that she does put forth some useful stuff.

There are some things that are good about her teaching or what she is sharing, but I agree that there's also something that is off. I think I see a lot of arrogance too. I've listened to some of her videos, but after a while it's just too many words, too much talking, too much of everything. I've also seen some online reviews that was quite revealing if it's true.

I have seen some of her videos some time ago, also thought there is something off...

 to me she is just a grifter, her back story seems fictional, some of her "teachings" are ludicrous and it don't seems she self believes in what she is saying.

Teal Swan has helped me SO much! Besides TLE, I really have her and Eckhart Tolle to thank for a huge part of my on-going awakening and my improving ability to handle seemingly difficult emotional situations. I watch her videos very often. Yes, sometimes she speaks fast and moves fast intellectually and energetically, so sometimes I have to repeat passages from her videos in order to understand, but there is such a dept in them, I think. I would be surprised if she were a young soul (even if it's not important to me as her spiritual message speaks for itself) and definitely not a satanic cult leader, lol. I believe she has a narrative about herself online where she describes how she actually was raised in some kind of brutal cult-like surrounding and had to escape from that place to become a part of normal society.

This is a (long) video where she answers to some of the allegations made against her. I didn't watch it all, but thought the first part was interesting. However, I more suggest to watch her free videos on Youtube where she addresses different issues. As she says in this video, it's a pity that her history sometimes gets more attention than her spiritual messages.

Thanks @AnnaElisa, bit long to go through it all, overall I'm still confused. She has some interesting stuff, nothing super original and somehow that she claims to be arcturian with only 12 previous lives doesn't sit well with what we're learned from Michael. Whoever she is, she's helping people and growing herself and that is admirable regardless!

@H2nna, I never heard that (12 lives).  However, I don't think one has to be able to "buy" everything of what a person claims or ever has claimed about her background, believes etc. in order to get helped from the actual message.  We're all humans and noone is totally free from the ego or making mistakes. But of course, it sure feels better if everything seems in logic alignment, so I understand you.  With some other spiritual guides that don't resonate as much with me, I'm more sensitive to incongruity, but as I resonate so much with Teal's messages, I'm closing an eye sometimes.  So it's all about who or what your intuition tells you to trust, and whatever you chose is equally perfect.

For some reason this discussion came to my email, so I read through the comments. And got curious.

So I decided to have a discussion with my Michael fragment about Teal Swan's overleaves.

My M fragment commented on her soul age that at the 4th Mature level fragments often experience disassociation in a way that they would consider themselves to be 'from other planets'. Often they use a lot of the terms, terminology and wording of Old souls, but somehow the way these concepts are used can seem disconnected or even harsh to Older souls. Which can lend itself to their teachings feeling somehow 'off'.

 

Another feature that the M fragment revealed to me about Teal Swan is that she belongs to an energy ring that has the average soul age of 6th Baby, which means that her energy will have a flavour of Baby-ness. She is also working with large amounts of Baby souls and Baby soul dogma, which can make her appear younger in soul age.

And btw, she is gorgeous!! Definitely very easy on the eyes and a beautiful voice

Thanks @Janno!! She is gorgeous and says all the right things, however I do find that mature souls tend to make things "complicated", and there is endless drama. Old souls tend to keep it simple or simplere!

Yes, Hannah, that is my experience also. Mature souls can be much more emotionally entangled and have a lot of emotionally charged energy with them. Older souls come from a space of more freedom perhaps or detachment. Which, personally, I find easier to be around. Listening to Teal Swan talk about the accusations against her I am very much inspired by how much she cares and how very interested she is in helping others, but I certainly don't resonate with the amount of energetic entanglement with her clients and followers that she represents.

I agree there is something off about her --thanks for sharing what Michael said -- I watched her videos for a few weeks but then she came across, to me, as Fake....so I stopped and honestly felt she could be dangerous to those that follow her, like a cult or something....prefer Eckart Tolle for spiritual inspiration ...has Michael said anything about him?

I loved her and was quite a fan until I stumpled upon the critics and the claims of her being a cult leader, 'suicide catalyst' and so on. Then I watched the BBC News Video, the quite disturbing 'deep end' stuff and what else I could find (the two mormon podcast videos and the gateway podcast). It made me question what I believed about her a lot. Then I didn't bought it anymore, not her self-claimed special powers (mind reading for example) and not her back story (her therapist was Barbara Snow).

Recently I watched her statements to the 'deep end' 'documentary'.

 

In the 'deep end' she is portrayed as a very difficult character (to put it mildly). Her 'inner circle' or 'core team' has to do as she wishes, no free time for family/friends, no criticism is desired and so on. The whole dynamic within her inner circle tells me she is narcissistic. She seems to think no one is above her. Her completion process retreat and what she does to the clients seems dangerous, at least for some (for example for the suicidal people there she has not the proper medical training, but targets them in her marketing). There is a scene with a girl that says she will kill herself back home because she didn't get any better and Teal is only concerned about the bad reputation that would bring her for her brand. That (and other stuff) disturbed me.

In her statements Teal says that scene (and the whole series) are fake because they are heavily edited. But that answers not everything. I believe her when she says that she feels betrayed by the producers and that they abused her trust for filming her whole three years. That is not okay. Hard to tell what the truth is But there is enough truth in it. I think feel the investigator is authentic. And she says it's cult-like, at least the inner circle. Then the dubious and disturbing moments of Teal captured ("if everyone knew what Julianna did, they would want her dead") Apparently she is not that nice and kind of 'enlightened' person as she portrays herself in her own videos.

 

However, I think there are things she says in her youtube videos that are dangerous for some people who are in difficult emotional states and trust and believe in her and her 'teachings'. For example the 'suicide is a reset button' thing or 'for some there is no hope' or 'depression delays suicide' if I remember correctly.

I never heard her admitting a mistake or saying sorry a single time in the interviews (some followers have taken their lives) and I think this is a big red flag. For me she doesn't take the responsibility that comes with her impact on people (she has 1,5 million followers).

 

Nevertheless I think she has some good approaches that help people (me included - plagiarized or not I don't know, but sometimes I get the feeling, some things I heard or read from others, but she does not give the reference).

Now I see her rather as a very intelligent person, manipulative maybe and not longer as a 'psychic', at least not to the extent she claims to be.

I still don't know what my conclusion is. The digger I deep, the more comes up. Now I see it 'clicked' because of my own trauma history. I can understand what some see in her or think what they've found. Still I think she's not completely a bad person. I still kinda like her When I watch my purchased online-course she is so nice and the stuff helpful
