ENERGY REPORT - September 2019

@Sarah yeah, I know and get that, but it sucks.

In that sense people are valuing their feelings more than the truth. Besides that even, there's no escaping the truth of how our diet affects the environment, it will inevitably be revealed and people will inevitably have to change, and it will have to be soon (before 2030) if people truly want a healthy future for the Earth.

I look forward to it.

September 19th - 21st -- NEXUS -- DIVERGENCE - This marks a first shift toward or away from Self-Destruction on a large scale. If there is a shift toward more collective Self-Destruction, it is likely being demonstrated in some way during the Nexus. If the Nexus window is fairly quiet and/or showcases a moving and meaningful event, the shift would likely be away from Self-Destruction.

On top of the massive Global Climate Strike (September 20 - 27) starting over this period , anyone who watched Rachel Maddow last night knows that she started off with three, not one, but three major shifts towards "the good" that were complete surprises.

1) The Trump Administration abruptly reversed the horrendous "order" (policy) to shut down the Medical Deferred Action Program targeting sick kids who would die if they left the program.

2) Moscow Mitch backed down on elections security funding releasing $250M to help states guard against outside interference in the U.S. 2020 election.

3) The gun manufacturer Colt suspends production of AR-15 for civilian market.

I was just signing on to comment about the climate change rally being a meaningful event since it happened all over the world on the same day. Millions of people must have participated. The BBC has a list of countries where this happened: The UK, Poland, Germany, Japan, Solomon Islands, Vanuatu, Kiribati, North Macedonia, Romania, Ireland, France, Pakistan, India, South Korea, Indonesia, Malaysia, Nigeria, Ghana, Kenya, South Africa, Ukraine, Belgium, Sweden, Turkey, the Netherlands, Philippines, Australia, New Zealand, Bangladesh, Austria, Thailand, Senegal, Denmark, Burundi, Greece, the USA, Cyprus.   https://www.bbc.com/news/live/world-49753710

I'm blown away by it frankly. If Thunberg hasn't fully manifested the IS yet, I can only imagine how inspirational she'd be if that happens. And for several people to manifest at the same time, there's no way we as a species wouldn't respond accordingly.

It seems what's happening right now (Climate Strike) is the greatest indicator that we are moving toward healing the planet. I've been worried all month about what this weekend would look like so I find Colt's letting go of the AR-15 to be a really positive indication that huge numbers of us don't want self-destruction. (Trump and Mitch manuevers are more political bullshit based on falsehoods, but even that involves rising above to look at the bigger picture.) Change, yes, massive change, yes, but not at the cost of everything we've (slowly) managed to prioritize. Food, agriculture, species protections, water, renewable energy - Amazon just ordered 100,000 electric delivery trucks! There are good things happening in the midst of all this political emotional manipulation.

@ckaricai, just for clarification:

Greta Thunberg is channeled as a Transcendental Soul by Troy.

The only confirmed candidates that are highly likely to manifest Infinite Soul are Emma Gonzalez and Pat McCabe. The latter was confirmed by Jeroen in a Private Session.

However, Michael has also said that Transcendental Souls incarnate and manifest during times that are often close to Infinite Soul Manifestations, so Greta is definitely paving the way for ease of teaching from the IS.

Michael has used the analogy that they are metaphorical Parts to the IS's Center.

My skeptical side scoffs at this.

Several reasons.

The first is because it is just like Amazon jumping to yhe $15 min wage. Great PR.  But amazon is only paying $15 to Amazon employees and is contracting out much of the work and not paying them bonuses.  So the workers at Amazon still get screwed.

Colt will likely try what was done in the 90s.  Push for a limited term ban then release it again to the public.

2.  For how long.  With 3d printing tech does it really matter.

3. Tied with 1.  An attempt to get ahead of any regulation that might happen.

4. They are doing it now so that when the election occurs if Trump loses then they have a card to say we don't need regulation.  If trump wins they can dictate the regulation better so they can again sell them.

I'll take it.

But I don't trust it.

I guess even for a peaceful movement you need an "enemy", a clear target. As soon as those fossils running the world are history with their fossil fuel addiction, the new generation of leaders are sure to change agriculture, too. Currently, there is the vegan movement that originates mainly from the conscious consumer, and it has already changed the industry a little. But for a real change, it needs to come from the actual policies and not be based on people voluntarily taking part or not. It needs to come from a need on the structural level. As soon as cities, counties and countries are bound to extremely strict guidelines, they're going to have to change agriculture to be able to comply.

Plus - at that point, hopefully the decision makers are also just all-round more ethically aware and got to the position of power because they care about change, not their pay check. This couldn't be soon enough, but we have to start the big wave somewhere. At this very important starting point, people desperately need to unite and feel united, and as @Sarah said, veganism as a cause is currently not having that effect, unfortunately, rather the opposite.

But wait till all those millions of people who are marching today put one and one together and carry the vibe of inspiration they are now receiving and creating. They will turn vegan, little by little, one by one. Slow as it may be, it's inevitably coming, and I think this is the only way. I think Greta is playing it smart, whether it's a conscious tactic or not.

Here is Pat McCabe's website, as she has been out of the news for a while (and I had to resort to Google, gotta love my aging brain): https://www.patmccabe.net/

I've been having some really interesting/peculiar dreams about roads not taken and people who have dropped out of my life (maybe to explore a different parallel?) reappearing.

Anybody got really affected by the current nexus? I feel like I got hit by a freight train and dragged along. One of the worst I can remember, started with a head cold that got worse over five days, culminated with 2 days in bed with a strange headache and only now over the past hour I feel I have crawled out on the other side....still alive....

Me, too, @Michèle. Woke up with a head cold on Friday morning (<—hey, I can sing that to ”Cold Water” by Tom Waits!) and this absurdly small fever is making me soooo tired. Just tea and sleep two days in a row.

This illness surprised me because usually I get a feeling I might want to get sick to process smth a couple of days beforehand, but this came out of the blue and for the first time in my life I don’t like this ”break”.

@Evelin I love the Tom Waits reference! Great song ❤️  I also spent two days in bed with tea, and I was surprised because even though I did have a cold, it got worse over night after three days of not being too bothered by it. Curious.

From a Private Live Chat on September 22, 2019:

Maureen:  Do you see a shift in probabilities at this time for Prime Minister Trudeau’s re-election, from 75%, due to the “blackface scandal”?

MEntity:  No. We do not see much impact from this, but we can say that it is "shakier" than before and if another blow were to come, it could reduce the probabilities greatly and rapidly. If there are no more blows, the probability looks to hold. As you know, we cannot predict results, but this is what we see at the moment.

NOTE: I have seen nothing but support, more than usual actually, from Trudeau's regular supporters. The "backlash" is from his Conservative opposition, the two "third parties" who are showing grabby opportunistic tendencies, and, of course, news organizations, or the media, that love to sensationalize -- everything.

Re fossil fuels, diet, etc.: it's all so fucking complicated, and connected, and capitalism has us all hypnotized into thinking that it's all on us to make changes, when the systems that we live within are too big for that. Not that there isn't room for, and great need for, personal choices, but I think we all get browbeaten into believing that that's all we can do and sometimes all we need to do. Recycle. Okay, but recycling is fucked. It turns out it's all been going to China to be burned. Now that they've put a stop to that, it's all just piling up. I'm not going to get into the dietary arguments, mainly because I have no argument against being vegan, I think it's pretty awesome, I'm not, but I also avoid most animal products already, and the ones I do eat, I buy from local farmers as much as possible (eggs, mainly). But I will say that it's worth looking at all of our food, where it comes from, who grows it, how is it grown, it is a monoculture, does it deplete the soil, is it grown by people who are mistreated? And...that's where capitalism comes in. Because every goddamn time I buy a tomato I think about how in my own state, tomato farm workers are treated so badly. Yes, the tomato is a better choice than the burger and I am going to avoid the burger. But I still am thinking a lot about these massive interlocking systems that fuck us all. So our responsibilities don't stop at just eating more plants. But capitalism would love you to believe that it's all on you.

I do think our individual choices matter. But no matter how hard I try, I can't stop the tide of plastic through my life. I buy a shampoo bar. Great. I had the privilege to have time to go to the one shop in town that sells them, which is only accessible by car, and is in an affluent all-white neighborhood few go to from anywhere else in town. Meanwhile, the largest supermarket chain in Florida, Publix, just stopped my city (Gainesville) from enacting the single-use plastics, plastic bag, and styrofoam ban that we fucking voted for. I can ask the local taco place not to give me plastic forks, but they probably won't hear me; I can vote along with my community to cut down on plastic usage but a huge corporation can just shit all over it. The oceans fill with plastic and no amount of me personally packing my own bamboo fork (which I do) will stop that. It's too big. We need massive, systemic bans on plastics, and a complete retooling of our material world. Yet the plastics industry is GROWING.

This nexus appears to have been in the good direction, on a larger scale. Personally I'm having a very hard time but I think it's to be expected, just given where I'm at in my life: I'm very far from the specific things that I want, but I'm working towards them; I guess I'm entering through the negative/constricted pole as I try to figure out how to move from Florida back to Boston. I'm hitting wall after wall of frustration with my closest, best relationships, there's no situation in my life I don't want to radically change, I am not yet in a position to effect those changes and in most cases, if not all, it's not entirely up to me; I don't like myself right now. But fuck it, the days keep coming.

@Leela Corman reading what you wrote reminded me of this transcript: Consumerism vs Citizenry.

Specifically this part:

"

MEntity] As Citizenry gathers up a momentum of conscious awareness, the shift, ironically, moves away from "so long as it harm none," to "so long as it benefit any."

[MEntity] This would mean that anyone who would be impacted by the choices and actions within that paradigm were somehow AT LEAST capable of being benefited.

[MEntity] It is not presumed that everyone will share the same will, of course, but that the aim would be for Contribution, at the very least.

[MEntity] When the aim is only for avoiding harm, choices can become clouded by fears, frustrations, guilt, defensiveness, etc. but when there is a realization that a choice may benefit more than just the self, the aim can tend to be light, fueled by enthusiasm, and creativity."

I try to apply this perspective in my life.

Yes but didn't put the two together until recently.

September 19, 2019 was World Suicide Awareness day.

I have chronic depression with suicidal ideation.  My therapist's words.  I believe the current term is dysthymia. Basically, I always have a low grade depression going on.

Loads of fun.

I was beyond irritated on the 19th cause I kept seeing the posts on social media with the suicide hotline number, call me, or talk to me, or whatever posts.

So I took four hours out of my night and vented my spleen about it in a word document.

It was midnight when I got done. Saved it and went to bed.

All through the Nexus I felt unreasonably happy.  For the first time, in a long time I could legitimately say I felt good.  It lasted till the weekend.

But the strange thing has been.  There is a mix there that I haven't felt before. The depression is still there. Always will be but I can feel the calm.  It is not the rapturous joy of like kids on Christmas morning.  It is the subtle joy of like @Bobby's sunsets or a good piece of music.

It is subtle.

Quiet.

And persistent.

I think it came from writing down fornthe first time both major ideation episodes and reliving them.

Now, I suspect these actions are related to the nexus. The main reason being I chose life twice before.  It was a reminder that yes I can get through whatever and we can choose life.

With all of the climate protests and strikes being when they were it really felt like this is a start.

We choose to live everyday.  For some of us, it is a bit more literal.

We keep chosing that and work toward the future we want in whatever way we can...there will be a wave.

@Christian thank you for sharing that vulnerable stuff. And, I love the parallel you draw between an individual choosing life, to a large group of people choosing it on the larger scale of the climate protests.

@KurtisM Exactly. I have been angrily saying "I'm a citizen, not a consumer" since I was a kid. It is an extremely important distinction, not semantics but precision language with meaning.

I'm hopeful, considering Bibi and Johnson also lost ground. But as we know, things change and we're not out of the woods yet.

Now would an actual impeachment mean the horrible decisions and policies he's made regarding a lot of stuff would be void? Or have they been made by larger bodies, not him in person so there would be no effect? (I don't know how the system works out there)

Another interesting turn that happened right after this nexus was the UK Supreme Court's decision that the current (un-elected fuckwit of a) prime minister Boris Johnson's decision (to advise the Queen to) suspend the Parliament was completely illegal. Potentially a start to disempowering the absolute idiots that have become to rule Britain. As far as I'm aware, there seems to actually be a very promising opposition (left wing) party there that could change the course of everything if they had the chance. From what I've seen, my guess would be the leader Jeremy Corbyn to be possibly an old soul.

For those who haven't followed the British politics at all, the stuff happening there recently is almost beyond belief, more like a Monty Python skit than reality, except not funny because it affects a lot of people in a very negative way.

Not really.  An impeachment is really just a congressional motion to hold a hearing on whether or not to remove the sitting president from office.  Even if he were impeached AND actually ousted, all of his actions and appointments would stand unless specifically overturned or found illegal.

Yeah cheers @Sam K for the clarification. I first thought it was about his actual election being illegal in the first place... I've read a bit more after posting that and realise it's not quite that profound. A shame though...
