OMW - Oct 19, 2013 - The Body's Language

Channel: Troy Tolley

10/19/2013

[MEntity]
Hello to each of you. We are here, now. We can begin on the subject requested.

The subject requested is that of the "body's language." This is a highly subjective topic that is difficult to cover in broad terms, but because the body is shared across the species, and has been the medium of experience for all fragments incarnating, there are very basic levels of language that could be considered collectively consistent and applicable.

The body's language is fairly simplistic and while the messages are symbolic because of their condensed representation, the symbols often tend to be fairly literal.

For example, if one is bitten, it can reflect how one is harming the self through internalized anger or guilt. This is fairly literal in that these things that "eat at you" can culminate into a "bite."

This bite, while fairly literal then, is symbolic in that the anger or guilt must still be unpackaged into something clear about its potential origins, focus, and how it is serving the self.

We cannot possibly cover all of the ailments, injuries, or illnesses that carry messages, so what we would do today is speak to how these can not only be interpreted on your own, but how you can unpack the insight from that ailment, injury, or illness based on where it is occurring in the body.

Keep in mind that not all ailments, injuries, or illnesses are messages. There is a high probability that you are simply experiencing the scathing effects of living in a dense plane in a body that is vulnerable.

ALL ailments, injuries, and illnesses can be interpreted as messages, but they are not necessarily intended as messages.

To help you understand this differentiation, and why it is fairly moot, consider this:

The sun will rise every day for Earth, and it does not do so just for you, but one day, you notice the beauty of that sunrise, and you pause, take it in, and it means something to you. There are many sunrises, many unnoticed, and many who see them or dismiss them, but this one today made a difference. It was not that the sun had a message, but that your consciousness made the choice to experience that sunrise in a meaningful way.

The lack of inherent meaning vs. the extracted meaning are not in conflict, and do not negate one another.

We mention this because if you are looking into the messages of an ailment, injury, or illness, then it means something to you, and can be treated with as much value as a message that was generated.

However, if you wish to differentiate, then there are considerations that can be kept in mind. The message of an ailment, injury, or illness can be explored through the WHAT and the WHERE. What the ailment is, where it is. But the key for differentiating inherent message from extracted message is in the HOW.

If you are a rock climber, then you are going to have injuries relative to the nature of rock climbing. If your hands are calloused, or you cut yourself on a rock, it may be very likely that it was simply scathing. If you are walking down the street, and a car drives over a rock that is then flipped into the air, flinging toward your forehead, this may be more of a generated message and not "just" scathing.

Both scenarios can create meaning from the injury and gain something from that, but we caution against inundating yourself with interpretations of "everything" that bothers your body.

If you are on your cell phone, not paying attention, and you walk into the path of a car, this may not be an inherent message beyond "watch what you are doing, be mindful," but if a car slides onto the sidewalk and hits you, there may be a message.

So consider the HOW, if you wish to narrow down your body's language to the messages being generated from emotional and intellectual processes.

There is value in considering the HOW, not for the sake of dismissing the injury, illness, or ailment when it is not generated, but for grasping the nature of its existence in the first place, which can often have more valuable meaning.

For example, if you are a rock climber who is exploring an injury, that injury may simply be a part of the scathing that comes from rock climbing, but "why are you a rock climber?" This may be much more informative than the injury.

If you have chronic headaches caused by your lack of hydration, the headaches may have information, but your refusal to hydrate more probably has even more to say about your processes.

Before we continue on, do each of you understand this differentiation in the question of "HOW?"

[Janet] Yes
[MikeS] Yes
[Bobby] yes
[GeraldineB] I understand it, but don't resonate with it
[Maureen] yes
[DianeHB] I think so
[ClaireC] yes
[Jana_K] yes

[MEntity] In what way have you found dissonance here, Geraldine? We will address this if it is a matter of clarification. If it is a matter of disagreement, we would honor your perspective, of course.

[GeraldineB] It's a matter of "hard to accept". Or rather that meaning has no meaning

[MEntity] That there is a language of the body at all, or that there can be a differentiation?

[GeraldineB] Messages from "the Universe"

[GeraldineB] it's ok -- continue :) I'm always a hard case on topics like this

[MEntity]
We will clarify that they are not messages from the universe.

In terms of ailments or illness, it can be seem to make sense that these may be generated over time through emotional or intellectual processes, blockages, resistance, wounding, etc., but "random" injuries may seem a bit of a stretch, as if orchestrated.

[GeraldineB] I think, perhaps, it's difficult for me to accept that meaning only has the meaning that one gives something -- there is no particular "truth" to it beyond that

[MEntity]
Injuries are not orchestrated, but they can be generated through attraction. For example, the rock flipping toward the forehead from the wheel of a car may be the 20th time something has flown toward the forehead, and this one finally landed.

We can go into the nature of injury in further detail when of interest. For today, we will focus more on the messaging.

Geraldine, keep in mind that Meaning is from the circle of Personal Truth. Personal Truth and Meaning are interchangeable.

These are chosen, developed, and can change.

[GeraldineB] I understand

[MEntity]
It is a Personal Truth that the sunrise this morning was beautiful and "made my day," but it is a Global Truth that it rises for everyone, every day. There is no infused meaning into truths beyond the Personal.

It is a Personal Truth what a headache may mean to an individual, but the mapping and language of ailments, injuries, and illness in the body is a Global Truth.

To make more sense of that last sentence, compare it to this: what a person says is a Personal Truth, but that there is expression capable from the human body is a Global Truth.

What we look to share with you today is how to put your Personal Truths into perspective through the use of placement in Global Truths.

[Maureen] It's a bit like dream symbology -- isn't it?

[MEntity]
Very much so.

In terms of Meaning/Personal Truth, there will always be greater contexts even within these circles that one can seek to understand. For example, we can use a familiar experience of Troy's lack of focus, management of scheduling, and delivery of services. This can be "taken personally" and felt to be offensive and infuriating, and this would not be untrue, but that offense and fury would be a Personal Truth within a larger circle of Personal Truth, which is that there is no intended meaning in those delays, and that they are products of design and capabilities of the channel.

These nuances are what we mean by events not always having inherent meaning, with meaning being created by the individual, not the circumstances.

On the most personal of levels, anything, anyone, can mean nearly anything one can imagine. Most choose to create meaning that either serves them in harmful ways, or in nurturing ways.

There are always larger truths beyond these.

We do not know if we have addressed the dissonance, but we will continue.

Next we will address the WHERE.

There are different systems that have become root assumptions in shared consciousness across all fragments. This happens for all forms of Sentience. This system is not in place at the beginning of incarnations, but develops over thousands, even hundreds of thousands of years of incarnation. Just like any language, it evolves.

Because it is such a basic language that is relative to a body, there is little nuance that is relative to culture, race, society, etc.

One of the systems is based in regions of the body as they relate to the Chakra System.

One of the systems is based in quadrants of the body as they are reflective of cosmic mapping, or astrology.

These two systems would be the core for the mapping, but would then be subject to the nuances of individual, cultural, or societal layers, depending upon the degrees of imprinting from family, culture, and society.

We will focus on the cores today.

Mapping the body using the Chakras (which could be referred to here as Centers, as well), the body then would have 7 "regions." These are, in the most simplistic of references: LEGS, GENITALIA, STOMACH, CHEST/ARMS, NECK/FACE, FOREHEAD, CROWN.

Any ailment, injury, or illness specific to a region would then be interpreted as messaging relative to that region and its symbolic context.

For example, digestion issues would then be in the stomach region, relative to the Moving Center/Power Chakra. The illness, injury, or ailment here would be relevant to how one is using the Moving Center, or processing through the Power Chakra, and all that this entails.

Today will be quite rudimentary in example, but this can be built upon from here to become a meaningful language between yourself and your body so that processes are not simply left to suppression of symptoms and endurance of pains, but a transformation of the wounding that may be far more subtle in source.

Once one has considered the Region, then the Quadrant can be considered.

These would be as if the body were invisibly divided down the middle from the head, and across the chest just below the breasts. These lines are not strict, but symbolic in location.

[Bobby] How would one determine the quadrant for "the Head" since it falls in the middle of a demarcation zone?

[MEntity]
Bobby, the head would be divided down the middle, so that one side is upper right, and the other is upper left.

  • The UPPER LEFT tends to have messages relevant to SELF, or how one is processing "I."
  • The LOWER LEFT tends to have messages relevant to RELATIONSHIPS, or how one processes "We."
  • The UPPER RIGHT tends to have messages relevant to IMPRINTING, or how one processes "I AM."
  • The LOWER RIGHT tends to have messages relevant to FUNCTION, or how one processes "They."

We will elaborate upon each of these in more familiar terms, but this is a general picture.

Other ways to see these might be that the

  • UPPER LEFT is ASSIMILATION;
  • UPPER RIGHT is EXPRESSION;
  • LOWER LEFT is INSPIRATION;
  • LOWER RIGHT is ACTION.

Or

  • Upper Left is (balance or imbalance of) CENTERS;
  • Upper Right is ATTITUDE;
  • Lower Left is MODE;
  • Lower Right is GOAL.

The correlations will tend to become obvious upon exploring this, and then can be customized to your most meaningful terms.

As you might immediately consider, ailments do not always fall so cleanly into a quadrant, or even a region, for that matter, but this is, first, because these are symbolic demarcations, and second, because the body is a whole system that cannot truly be divided. The mapping is only for the sake of simplifying the move toward conscious awareness of the language of the body, not as a static system.

This can be built upon with extrapolations that we will not be able to cover here today in any meaningful depth.

The mapping of WHERE, and the discernment for HOW, is half of the work for understanding your personal language of the body.

The other half is entirely within the realm of WHAT, which is the specifics of the ailment, injury, or illness.

What we will do now is open the floor for questions about what we have shared so far. Questions regarding your particular ailments will be addressed after this.

***QUEUE IS OPEN for questions about the topic so far****

[Janet] When you say 'upper left', I just want to clarify that this would be what I consider my left, and not left from the point of view of someone looking at me.

[MEntity]
Correct.

We can suggest this this mapping be reversed if one is "left-handed.

[Janet] I am not.

[MEntity]
For those who are left-handed, this might require some experimentation, but there is relevance to a dominant "side" versus "passive" side. This is reflected in such practices as Palm Reading, as well, in that the dominant hand reflects how one is expressing the self, while the passive hand reflects the inherent nature of the self. Or "the original plan" versus "what one has done with the plan."

No further questions?

[Bobby] guess not :-)

[MEntity]
If not, then we will continue with our suggestion for your workshop element of this exchange.

As you begin to explore the language of your body, you can find that it does not communicate with you only in terms of pain, ailments, injury, illness, but even more often in terms of pleasure, sensation, habits, preferences, etc. Much can be revealed to the self about all of the undercurrents of processing if one pays attention to this system of communication and language.

What we suggest for each of you is to, literally, map the body over a period of 7 days, keeping track in two ways:

ONE) Emphasize awareness of a specific Region of the body for that day, all day. Randomly check in with that area and consider it, touch it, watch how you treat it, even reading about it in terms of Center or Chakra that day for insight.

TWO) Note any particular Region and Quadrant as you become aware of habits, pain, pleasure that day. You need not interpret, just note. Note if it was habit, pain, pleasure, distraction, etc., however you wish to describe the awareness drawn to it.

At the end of those 7 days, note what patterns there are, both in terms of your intentional exploration, and your discoveries.

Correlate these to the Centers, Chakras, Overleaves, etc., in a way that broadens your understanding of how your body is handling your use of the design of You.

This can often become one of the most inspiring, intimate, and transformative experiments one can have regarding the relationship between the mind, body, and spirit, if you will. Often, this will have been the first time one has even considered the language of the body, and listened. It can be profound to finally include the most vulnerable, innocent, and unconditional parts of your Being.

Keep in mind that your Being is a spectrum that begins in such innocence and vulnerability and is intentionally rooted in each Plane by the vehicle that is created for experience. The Body is as innocent as the Soul.

It is just as ignored, as well, if not more so.

Often, the difference is not so much how much one is ignored over the other, but how much one is resented over the other.

When you can close the spectrum between Body and Soul, there is wholeness, there is a new circuitry that makes a difference.

We will now open the floor to question regarding ailments, illness, injury, pleasures, habits, distractions. We cannot do the work for you in determining the messages and meaning, but we can help to bring some support to the process.

[Janet]
I have a current ailment but I will set that aside for a question about a past ailment.

About 7 years ago something (a virus?) suddenly destroyed most of the vestibular nerve associated with my left ear. It took years and physical therapy to relearn basic balance. I find it very interesting that the left upper quadrant is associated with 'balance or imbalance' of centers. I am also 2nd level Old, and I understand that 2nd level is associated with balance and stability.

I was mid-5th IM at the time, also.

No specific question, other than a request for your comments about the issue in relation to the topic.

[MEntity]
As you can see, these scenarios often "speak for themselves" when put into perspective of the body as a map for the language. It is not a desperate language that seeks to tell you something, but a reflective language that is speaking for you.

This move through the issues of balance/imbalance may have shown up very differently for someone else, but the mapping would reveal to you that this may have been about your relationship with yourself, about bringing yourself in alignment within, to deal with any sense of betrayal within. This may have been reflective of your wish to own the responsibility for wholeness, and not to focus on how this shows up in external relationships, or how you may have felt pushed out of alignment because of obligations, but returning to wholeness through your sense of will, strength, and compassion for your own pain and processes.

[Maureen]
Occasionally I have a really severe reaction to allergens during an allergy “season”. How are acute or seasonal pains and discomforts or flare-ups different than chronic pains and discomforts?

How is my current sinus inflammation and blockage related to my intuition or my Right to Dream? I am assuming that it’s related as the blockage is very close to the 6th Chakra or Third Eye.

Actually, I just had 2 sneezes (the first in 2 days) that helped clear it somewhat as I was writing this question out to you Michael.

[MEntity]
As we have stated, all allergies are denials. These denials are often symbolized in the details of the allergy. Denial here tends to be in terms of POWER, or RIGHT.

Seasonal allergies can be ways for working through the layers of denial that continue to remain, or be rebuilt and enforced over a cycle of time.

Airborne/plant allergies tend to be relative to one's denial of Power or Right for a "place" in the world.

Seasonal allergies would tend to be reflective of an ongoing processing or struggle, as we said, but a chronic or persistent allergy can indicate a deep wounding relative to the symbolism of the allergy.

In your case, there is some wounding, but more that there is always a struggle between vision and reality.

[Maureen] that made me laugh

[MEntity] "Reality" can often be quite disappointing when compared to your visions.

[DianeHB] What would be associated with menstrual cramps? Challenges with the Higher Moving Center or Right to Feel? I think I have some of those.

[MEntity] Menstrual cramps can be considered inherent pains of being in a female body with a process that produces some pain when releasing eggs from the ovaries, or ovulation. They often do not "mean" anything in any generated way. However, if there are diagnosed issues that exacerbate the pain, then there may be messages here.

[DianeHB] Well, fuck. :P Pain killers it is then.

[MEntity] Severity of cramping can be reflective of how one is relating to others in terms of intimacy, sexual or otherwise. The greater the cramping, the more likely one is dealing with rejection of feelings related to intimacy regarding one or more relationships.

[MikeS]
Despite living healthily and without any known genetic disposition (none of my family have it!) I suffer from high blood pressure. Am I correct in identifying my upper left as the quadrant that is sending me a message (hypertension) about how I process myself?

Could you please expand on that as a means for me to sew together my understanding of the what, with the how and the where?

[MEntity]
When one deals with high blood pressure, it can be inherent as a result of other choices or factors, and not necessarily a generated message. It might be part of a syndrome related to, say, weight gain, stresses, sleeplessness, etc. However, if it is a generated message, it is often about how one is relating to the current self as compared to the past. It can be reflective of the process of releasing the past as the standard for comparison.

It can be a process of dealing what "Who I Am" vs "Who I Thought I Would Be."

And this can be either negatively charged, positively charged, but often a mix of both.

This is about how you show up in the world, then, as a result of this. The What would be "hypertension" in the primary Where of Upper Left and Heart Chakra Region. We have not gone into the details of the What, but we think that many of the "what" are fairly literal, and there are some fragments who have done the work of general interpretation that we feel is fair enough as a starting reference.

[MikeS] Would the role of Artisan be more likely to 'make' a condition like hypertension?

[MEntity]
You would want to play with the various correlations for the Where for greatest range of insight.

No, we do not find much consistency in terms of ailments correlating to Roles.

[Jana_K]
I had a fungal problem with the two smallest toenails on my left foot for about 18 years now. I have tried to treat it chemically, mechanically, diet-wise, and nothing has got rid of it, though I have to say that I have not persevered 100% with any of those methods due to the amount of effort required. I have only marginally looked into possible body-messages meaning, until just now. It's in the quadrant of Relationships, according to what you have just related. Feet/leg problems in general, according to Valeri Sinelnikov's book "Love Thy Illness", are about strong fear of future, fear or reluctance to move forward in life. Does that correspond to LEGS, in your system? And which Chakra is that tied to - Root (1st)?

Further, Sinelnikov says that he found that people who suffer from fungal infections strongly dwell on old experiences, wrong-doings and injustices. That their old views have "got mouldy". That they do not wish to give up the past, and allow it to drive their present. And this in turn stops them going forward in life (back to legs/feet in general). Nail issues in general according to him then signify feeling of vulnerability and constant danger. Could you comment and give me a steer in the interpretation?

[MEntity]
Yes, this would correspond to LEGS and ROOT/INSTINCTIVE. It is valid that fungal infections tend to be reflective of extremely old and outdated beliefs related to the past that are held onto in ways that are distracting at best, and lethal at worst. They are in direct conflict with efforts to move forward, and become quite highlighted in the body.

In your case, these would appear to be minor, but persistent.

The Quadrant suggests these are related to your processing of trust in the future of a relationship.

It may mean that while you willing go forward, there is always a nagging, distracting insistence that speaks to an old idea about being discovered to be ugly, to not be seen beyond some of your private behaviors, or having trouble integrating those into a relationship.

It may speak to a justification for "hiding."

[Jana_K] that makes soooo much sense

[MEntity]
It may speak to the justification for needing to tend to yourself because you would not want that burden to be upon another.

And so on. We merely offer suggestions, but you can extrapolate from there. In breaking "the code," so to speak, many of these conditions may find near-miraculous reversals if the underlying pattern is brought to consciousness for processing.

[ClaireC] I have chronic pain in my right shoulder blade from a very old repetitive strain injury which persists regardless of any treatment. Can you offer me any insight on this?

[MEntity] First, you would want to look at the nature of the original repetitive strain injury. Was this scathing by the very nature of the effort?

[ClaireC] Yes

[MEntity] In that case, it is most likely a matter of the nature of the physical plane and being in a body when using it in a certain way. If someone tries to lift a car and hurts his back, it is often just a message that the car was heavy. It may be that your repetitive injury is along that vein. Nothing metaphysical or reflective of underlying processes, but natural scathing.

[ClaireC] But the pain continues long after I discontinued that action (using a computer mouse, of all things) :-)

[MEntity] However, for such a persistent condition, relief and repair can still be gained through insight.

[ClaireC] Yes, that is what I'm hoping.... How would this be related to Expression?

[MEntity] The origin of the persistent pain might be reflective of your Imprinting and how repetitive behaviors fulfilled some of your fears about who/how you may become, while the process of effort for healing is the undoing of the momentum of that past.

[ClaireC] That is helpful.

[MEntity]
These more insidious levels of imprinting can take a great deal of time for undoing. The effects may already be in the life, so it can seem that there is no way to undo the "damage," much like the repetitive strain seems to have left you, but this is a distraction.

It is in the space between the pain that the truth can be found. The pain may return, may be persistent, but it is not always there, and when the emphasis can be found in that focus of freedom, however short-lived, it can begin to expand in time and space.

The pain is a process, it is resistance. Pain is always resistance. But that is to be expected from such long-term momentum. It is like tapping on the brakes of a car that was speeding at 100 kilometers per hour. It is a careful resistance to change speed, to reverse directions, or merely to turn a corner.

Embrace this pain as part of the process, while including the breaks between as the truth of the process, and experiment with the effects of this.

[ClaireC] Thank you, Michael, I will.

[MEntity]
We must conclude here for today. Each of you are walking vessels of truths, processes, and messages. Most of this is ignored until between lives, but you are expressing courage and consciousness in your willingness to hear yourselves in new ways.

This is Good Work. Good evening to each of you.

Goodbye.

I forgot all about this session. What Michael told me about my BP makes more sense to me today. Interestingly, my BP has decreased. E.g. About a year ago I was  standing by a gurney waiting for a surgical procedure on my hand, which required a general anaesthetic. The Staff Nurse approached me to take my BP as I was about to walk to Theatre and I thought 'Bugger, this is going to be sky high cos I'm shitting myself! I hate white coats, me!' I was not a happy bunny. :)

Anyhow, the display turned up 112/82!! Even the nurse looked surprised but not as shocked (yes, it was shocking) as me. I've monitored my BP from time to time in the last year and I regularly get readings at or, below 120/80. I was getting much higher numbers previously up to 160/90.

I love this. Circuitry and Wholeness are two areas of interest these days, so finding this quote really made me happy. Thanks for posting the link @Ingun

This was a really juicy Workshop.
