ENERGY REPORT - June 2021

A lot to respond to here because you're all awesome. My responses will be brief and not that thorough because I'm trying to finish a book and my brain is sort of broken. But, yeah, it's all connected - habitat destruction, agriculture, animals both wild and farmed. And, people suck and are great. And I suck and am...great...I...hope....uh. Anyway.

I have come to the sad conclusion that our species has a screw loose and it's probably permanent. This doesn't get in the way of my awe and love for everything that is great about us. It just seems undeniable. My way of coping has been to pull waaaayyyy back into making art of various kinds, and close personal connections. I have no solutions and no theories, just hands that draw.

I still haven't seen Contagion. I keep meaning to. By all accounts, it's rigorously researched. Maybe once this infernal WW2 book is done, before I start the next infernal WW2 book, in whatever brief interim I have to rest my brain and take in other peoples' work.

JUNE 11th - 14th: ENERGY SHIFT - Turbulence - potential violence and unsettling events. Note: we have seen pockets of disruption and violence in surprising outbreaks ahead, but we cannot predict IF or WHEN this may happen. We can only see that the potential is there in various cumulative patterns and there are more than the usual number of pockets. This Energy Shift may or may not be where the turbulence comes into expression, but the energy is there for it.

WTF!!!! I think the effects have already started. This happened in London, Ontario, a two hour drive, west of Toronto.

Four pedestrians killed, man in custody after London collision

A 20-year-old man is in custody after several pedestrians were struck and killed by a vehicle in the northwest end of London, Ont., on Sunday evening.

The London Police Service says in a release that the incident occurred around 8:40 p.m. at the intersection of Hyde Park and South Carriage roads.

Investigators say one adult female who was struck died at the scene, while an adult male, adult female, and two children were rushed to hospital by paramedics.

The two adults and one teenaged child later succumbed to their injuries while the other child remains in serious but not-life-threatening condition.

Because I live in the US, all I think is more mass shootings. But it sounds like this driver intended to hit those people?

My platform is Optimism, and in a session it became clear that I've been sliding to denigration via Cynicism. Made me sad. Somehow I'm feeling much more optimistic since school got out and I'm not on Zoom all the time. Things are opening up here in Chicago, although most people are careful with masks inside stores. I just feel relief all around.

Here is Southern IL. People dropped the masks like a they were contagious.

Can't help but feel cynical about that.

“We all have an interest in this sentence and the message it sends,” Justice Pierce said. “There will be some who think this sentence is not harsh enough while others will think it is too harsh.”

Sentencing was today (8 years) for a manslaughter case in my hometown that has been getting a lot of press coverage.  Both within Canada and internationally.
Especially coverage related to issues of racism against First Nations people, and violence against women.

After nearly four-and-half years since 34-year-old Barbara Kentner of Wabigoon Lake Ojibway First Nation was struck in the abdomen with a metal trailer hitch thrown from a moving vehicle, which ultimately led to her death,

“We all have an interest in this sentence and the message it sends,” Justice Pierce said. “There will be some who think this sentence is not harsh enough while others will think it is too harsh.”

“What you did Mr. Bushby was not brave. It was not manly. It was not impressive. It did not make our community a better place.”

Our students may find themselves in a position to confront whether they are willing to PERSEVERE or if they are resigning. There is no wrong answer or choice here, but for those who choose to Persevere, the rest of the year may come more comfortably and confidently. For those who feel as if they may be ready to resign, the rest of the year may come with confrontations with all that is unwilling to change or grow within you. This is the difference between aligning with Persistence or falling into Unchanging.

Our students may also find themselves confronting their relationship to Cynicism, the Attitude this year. Cynicism is the capacity to see the opposite of what is obvious and/or to see what everyone around you is ignoring or missing. The Positive Pole is CONTRADICTION, which means countering the obvious. The Negative Pole of Cynicism is DENIGRATION or the intentional perception to only see or point out the worst. This comes in phrases like “life sucks,” or “what does it matter” or “I can’t make a difference” or “are we really shocked?”  These are phrases that not only enforce a lie about reality, but they lock out perceptions that could bring greater insight and perception. June may bring our students into a direct examination of where they may lie to themselves or lock themselves out from broader or higher perspectives.

I posted this on Facebook today. It fits with what Michael said about Perseverance and Cynicism.

UPDATE:  London, Ont. police believe family of 5 were targeted in hate-motivated, hit-and-run attack

London Police have identified four victims, all of the same family, that were struck and killed in a hit-and-run on Sunday in what investigators believe was a targeted attack fueled by hate against the Islamic faith.

Four family members – including a 74-year-old woman, 44-year-old woman, 46-year-old man, and a 15-year-old girl – were killed at a red light around 8:30 p.m. when a large, black truck came up behind the family and struck them at a high speed.

A 9-year-old, the sole survivor and fifth family member, remains in hospital with serious injuries.

Superintendent Paul Waight said Monday it’s believed the suspect intended to harm the family in what investigators are calling a “premeditated attack, motivated by hate.”

“Family members of the victims ask that the names of the victims not be released at this time,” said Waight.

“It is believed that these victims were targeted because they were Muslim… As a result of the investigation Nathaniel Veltman, 20 years of age of London, has been charged with four counts of first-degree murder and one count of attempted murder.”

The London Police Service wrote in a release that the incident occurred at the intersection of Hyde Park and South Carriage roads.

Police Chief Steve Williams said one adult female who was struck died at the scene, while an adult male, adult female, and two children were rushed to hospital by paramedics.

The two adults and one teenaged child later succumbed to their injuries.

Police arrested Veltman a short time later in the parking lot of a mall seven kilometres away near Oxford Street West and Cherryhill Boulevard. He was expected to appear in court today.

Police say there was no known prior relationship between the suspect and the victims.

Premier Doug Ford condemned the attack on social media, saying “Hate and Islamaphobia have NO place in Ontario.”

“Justice must be served for the horrific act of hatred that took place in London, Ontario yesterday. My thoughts and prayers are with the families and friends during this difficult time. These heinous acts of violence must stop.”

Michael answered this question in a Michael Speaks State of the Planet 2021 on January 24, 2021. I wonder when we could get an update. I'm asking for a few million friends... 💔🕊️💞

QUESTION:  In a session with me in September, Michael shared the following: "We cannot say how long the turbulence of events will be [during this paradigm shift] but in most probabilities most turbulence is subsiding within 5 years, some within 25 years, and many within 2 years. We do not know what trajectory is in effect, yet, but even at the 'worst,' this transition is fairly short." Have we come any closer to settling into a trajectory? MORE INFO: I've been thinking about this quote a lot since January 6th, and I'm curious if current events (like the election and the fallout from the Capitol riot) have clarified our direction any.

RESPONSE: At the moment, you are in a 2-year transitional shift that looks quite promising. We stress: at the moment.

Thank you for this @Maureen!   I remembered reading this, but couldn't find it when I searched.  I feel like we're seeing some good and positive trends in 2021. While there's definitely still some friction, I'm encouraged by the good things, no matter how small.  As in my previous post, I sometimes have to take a moment to feel some sadness or despair, but I bounce it back to optimism every time.  As Michael stressed "at the moment"....but I feel like we keep having those moments where the "transitional shift looks quite positive" is still quite promising.

Can you get more “neutral” than this?

OK... so now I'm so pissed I could spit nickels. I wrote this (just below) the other night in the May Energy Report and then decided not to post it as I was concerned I might be over-reacting. Now, tonight, I just read this and I know I'm not over-reacting... I was right to be thinking and feeling the way I was. Merrick Garland may have been a good choice for the Supreme Court in the Obama Administration but he's a lousy choice for the Attorney General's job in the Biden's Administration... for the American people. We can all kiss accountability goodbye. I'm so fucking disappointed.

This is a big deal and it’s so disappointing. Is this a sign of things not to come? Will we ever have accountability from the Trump Administration? Will we get justice for the American people? This is exactly what I was worried about when I knew Merrick Garland was going to be the Biden Administration’s Attorney General. I said to Uma that the word "milquetoast" kept on coming to mind but then I thought -- let's give him a chance. Is this what the DOJ is going to look like under a “neutral” Scholar-cast Scholar, manifesting Young, with an incomplete 4th IM through the Goal of Acceptance (-Ingratiation) ? Is Garland more concerned with protecting the institution than protecting the people and allowing the truth to be told? We need someone who has balls and can do the right thing — not someone who’s going to equivocate us to death.

Biden DOJ to appeal court order to release Trump obstruction memo  05/24/21

The Department of Justice is appealing a judge's decision ordering the release of a 2019 legal memo prepared for then-Attorney General William Barr in the wake of the Mueller investigation.

In a pair of court filings submitted late Monday, the DOJ under Attorney General Merrick Garland said it would fight against the full release of the memo, but would agree to make parts of it public.

The internal legal memo prepared by the DOJ's Office of Legal Counsel is said to provide justifications for Barr's stance that former special counsel Robert Mueller's investigation did not support obstruction of justice charges against former President Trump.

Earlier this month, District Court Judge Amy Berman Jackson ordered that the document be made public and accused Barr and Justice Department lawyers of making misrepresentations about why it should be kept secret.

So.

It could be said that this could be another dichotomy that is really a spectrum.

Maybe being able to see this is part of moving into INTEGRATION.

Like has been shared many times before, the positive pole makes space for the negative.

Perhaps that is path through this and the more we can provide that example to others the smoother we can get through the summer.

Yes, yes, yes! It's a SPECTRUM! I think that life, consciousness, just about everything is a spectrum and not a dichotomy. (Neurotypicality? A spectrum. Gender? A spectrum. Good or evil? A spectrum. I think that stark dichotomies are Baby and Young Soul ideas that are imposed upon us from the outside, and imprinting, and the general Soul Age of the world. They have, as the villain said to the minion, outlived their usefulness, I think.)

I also agree that being in the positive pole, or at least trying to be somewhere near it *g* helps smooth the way for others to be there, too.

One thing I really appreciate about the M's, and Troy's channeling, is that it's not an unending stream of happy feel-good BS. When the M's tell us "better watch out," well, we better watch out. So if they say "Hooray! Life is good! You're moving forward! Happy happy, joy joy!" I'm more inclined to trust them, than the "New Age" systems that tell us that if we "ascend" and think good thoughts and get our karma detailed and our dogma groomed, we'll live in Happy Rainbow Gumdrop Land forever and ever amen. Maybe one day it will when our collective Soul Age is nice and old but now...we've got some growing pains. Think, though, of how much more forward we are than at this time last year.

Insightful quote from Barbara McQuade tonight on The Rachel Maddow Show in regards to Merrick Garland bending over backwards to be fair. It highlights how trying to be fair can be just as damaging as being partisan. Hell, look at the damage Joe Manchin is doing right now in the Senate as he tries to "be fair". Biden's poor choice for the top DOJ position may end up blowing up democracy rather than saving it. How fucking sad is that?

Merrick Garland came into this job with a mission of restoring the independence of the Justice Department and a commitment to be nonpartisan in all his decisions. I think maybe he has over-corrected. He is reminding me of the dad who coaches his own child in Little League and out of an abundance to show just how fair he is benches his own kid even though he’s the best player. Nobody notices how fair you are if you lose the game.

In physical terms, this is caused by poor conditions and high stress from the animals suffering. In metaphysical terms, reception to the virus rises as humans distance themselves from the suffering caused. All forms of slavery will have repercussions on all involved and will never be capable of being sustained."

Thank you, @Troy for the Energy Report!

Measles originated this way, too, from domesticated cattle in the old world.  Nobody knows for sure about the origins of smallpox yet, but because the relatively harmless cowpox virus (vaccinia) was the first vaccine against it, domesticated cattle again wouldn't surprise me.

Then when both viruses crossed the Atlantic to reach people who didn't keep livestock for meat, 70-90% of North America's original population died from smallpox and measles.

I keep re-reading this report and trying to figure out what unpalatable truths I might be confronting in myself, but I'm struggling to do so. They're probably right there for all to see except me. I bet I'm just extra dense. Mostly right now, I'm *exhausted*. I feel weirdly depleted all the time, physically and emotionally. Just blank and a little bored, which is so unlike me. This is very likely a side effect of being in the end stages of a big project, though, so I'm not too worried. I would like to be less fatigued.

In the Uncomfortable Truths department, I just came across this article about a fascinating exhibition at the Rijksmuseum in Amsterdam about the Dutch role in the trafficking of enslaved people. This strikes me as right in line with what Michael is saying here about facing some truth.

https://www.nytimes.com/2021/06/04/arts/design/rijksmuseum-slavery-exhibition.html?action=click&module=Features&pgtype=Homepage

And closer to home (for me at least), an institution dear to my heart and essential to my work tackles its historic ignoring of Black history on the Lower East Side:

https://www.nytimes.com/2021/06/09/arts/design/tenement-museum-black-history.html?searchResultPosition=1

I love both the Rijksmuseum and the Tenement Museum a lot, and I'm happy to see these new developments in how they use their own resources to expand the stories they tell. Confronting the fact that the wealth of the Americas and Western Europe is often built on plunder and stolen labor, and what that means for all of us living now, is a huge task with a lot of moving parts.

Right on, @Maureen. Let me also add that "it could always be worse" is also a dark Ashkenazi survival response. So, that doesn't always come from toxic positivity, sometimes it comes from very deep cultural trauma and our deeply ingrained black humor about it. Because you have to imagine it being said in a heavy Yiddish accent, and then followed by, "We could be hanging by our thumbs in the Czar's basement!"

However. Yes. Toxic positivity can kiss off into the air. I like all the radical possibilities of the other list there.
