The Progressive International is sending a delegation to Havana to help vaccinate the world. But the US' six decade embargo of Cuba is trying to shut down our campaign of solidarity.

Dutch multinational bank ING has blocked all donations to the Progressive International delegation to support vaccine internationalism in Cuba. And it looks like others are following suit, with Paypal investigation donations and suspending the Progressive International account.

An act of re-colonization and cultural genocide is underway at the Liesbeek River in Cape Town, South Africa, spearheaded by Jeff Bezos and Amazon.

Cape Town authorities have recently approved the commercial use of a sacred and environmentally sensitive floodplain. Amazon, the anchor tenant, plans to build its new headquarters on the land.

The site carries an important history of anticolonial resistance. In the 16th century, Indigenous peoples living on the land fought back Portuguese invaders. Around a century later, Dutch colonists expelled the Khoi pastoralists who lived there. This was the first colonial land grab in South Africa. Today, Amazon is continuing that bloody legacy.

But First Nation Groups, civil associations, environmental NGOs, and activist groups are fighting back and taking Amazon to court.
