I've been a longtime "believer" in the idea we are not alone and have various extraterrestrial contacts and connections.  Of course, Michael has spoken on the subject many times.  Today I was referred to a series of short articles by AJ Vicens published in Mother Jones about the Clintons and UFOs and what Hilary says she will do when elected which is get to the bottom of the issue by opening up government files, etc.  It would be a wonderful breath of fresh air to move the subject from secrecy and ridicule to curiosity and realization... speaking of turning points.  Being that we are now in the Mature Soul age the idea of relating to ETs has to come sooner or later.

ETs and UFO's have always been an interest of mine. But I've struggled with embarrassment about it. My Mom recently told me that my Dad has or had an interest in the subject. Of course coming into my 4th IM. I the feeling of embarrassment is much easier to deal with.

I think you're right Maxim.  Apparently Bill Clinton was really into the subject.  I hope Hillary will do the positive things she says in public, and not the backwards things she does in private.  I think embarrassment and ridicule has been the main stick with which to keep the whole subject a secret Seve.  I am "a believer" but I would not talk about the subject in public.  I guess this is the case for lots of people.

Don't know if she will follow through or how long it will take us to reach general acceptance of the extraterrestrial presence.  As you guys noted above, it is easier in a social situation to keep the subject under raps due to the ridicule factor.  I would guess that a part of that dynamic is our species' subscription to the CF of Arrogance as well as preferring the harmony of consensus as a starting point.  Gotta love some of these "disclosure" warriors like Stephen Greer and Steve Basset.  Not to mention Troy whose career is talking to dead people.

 

Acknowledging the existence of ETs seems to me to be a very cardinal action looking out beyond the usual problems and issues we address and when embraced will certainly re-context our society.  Recently Michael pointed out progress is a theme here on earth.  Looking back at the last 100 years as a guide I can imagine that we would progress rather rapidly in taking on the new technology that is part of the package.  Amusing to think how advanced we imagine we are and then compare that to space faring "people". Technology or not the issue at the center of all this is becoming more relational and empathetic... mature soul values.
